child of urania here! i'm a rogue demigod but i wanted to know how the urania cabin looks like!

Urania! Ooo, hoo, hoooo! That's an interesting one! You don't meet too many children of the muses! I guess that makes us cousins!

Anyways, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we don't actually have any finished cabins for the muses yet. I currently am staying in the Hermes cabin, but Lady Hestia has offered her cabin as an additional place for unclaimed kids or children whose parent hasn't gotten a cabin quite yet. I might end up moving there for a little bit!

Good news, though! Five of the nine muses' cabins are already under construction. I helped oversee some of the plans, along with Jason and Annabeth. Urania's is one of them, and it's definitely going to be cool!

Based on the designs I’ve seen, there’s going to be lots of really cool astronomy stuff!

The ceiling will be like a planetarium, with all the visible stars being projected in real time. And then you’ll be able to control it like a real planetarium, too! There’s going to be a lot of really nice shades of black and blue, with gold accents. It’s going to be really pretty! I’ll see if I can get a photo of the plans. Also, Leo’s building an astrolabe unique to your cabin!

And then, once it’s complete, I’ll formally invite you to come to camp! And you won’t have to stay all the time, but I think you would really enjoy it.

NGL I absolutely hate how so many people in the fandom assume that Hermes never did anything to try and solve his problems and find meaning in his life except making and sending out Meteion. Our characters are there for a split second of his existence but the fandom thinks what we see and learn about Hermes in Elpis is all there is. As if someone who cares as much as he does wouldn't have already tried everything he could think of to solve the discrepancy between how he and the Ancients value Created Life. As if he just suddenly one day said "I think I'd like to ask aliens about the meaning of life" rather than the more likely alternative that he has spent most of his life trying to find answers and Meteion was a last resort. Why would you assume that he never tried to seek his answers among his own people? That he couldn't find them on Etheirys, so he sought them elsewhere?

Hermes isn't crazy or extreme. He's a respected scientist. The entire point of our interactions with him is that he's at the end of his rope. It tortures him daily, how little his friends and colleagues value the life they Create. He doesn't know what else to do to ease his suffering, to make people see that they are treating life callously. He's not even depressed he's legitimately in despair. He's run out of hope. He has no choice but to look to people outside the bubble of perceived perfection the Ancients live in.

Curt isn't ever sober again after he killed Owen. the guilt of it makes sure of that

Tatiana is also an alcoholic

Tatiana never ends up seeing her family again. it's been over 20 years, who's to say they'd remember her?

Vanger never recovers from seeing the prince die and lives with the birds :)

whether it was intentionally meant to make him worse or not, both Cynthia and Barb have used Curt's alcoholism to benefit themselves

Tatiana has trouble feeling like she's real, cause in her past she was just treated like a soldier and nothing else

this is just off the top of my head. this makes it seem like i hate barb. i don't! i find her interesting, but she's kinda fucked up in her actions sometimes.

what's it like? again these are all out of curiosity-! i don't mean my curiosity to be interpreted otherwise but i do wanna know how it is for you and how you feel about your devotions to these gods. hope I'm wording it right 😭

Hello. This is fine.

My main daily worship is a minute of pray/silence for Lord Apollon at the solar noon for my area. It doesn’t matter what I am doing, I never forgot.

(Okay; sometimes I do, but it sometimes occurs in the middle of a lecture or important event where I am speaking, therefore it is rather hard to say “sorry I need to worship a god who many think is a myth and not seen as relevant anymore”)

Other then that, I have the usual candles and alter.

For Lord Dionysus, I will sometimes light wine or other alcoholic beverages on fire. As well as a small alter for him.

I do not do much for Lord Hermes but I do things in his name every now and again.

If I am awake I will do the same for Lady Artemis as I do for Lord Apollon, a minute of silence/prayer at the lunar midnight.

I pray the the muses and light candles individually in their names.

All this along with digital offerings, of course.
