Lady Shiva (dropping her ninja star): You’re coming out to me?

Cass: Yeah, I know you’re a villain, but not the kind of evil that David is. I brought my aunt Batwoman; she wanted to be a shoulder to cry on if you disowned me, and the bat is there in case you reject me harshly.

Batwoman (holding a bat): And I’d have a private chat with you if you did.

Lady Shiva (stoic): I oddly respect that decision… Oh my word, a lesbian? I didn’t expect to hear you say that, and now that I have… what is this feeling?

Cass: I’m not sure; your body language suggests either anger or shock.

Lady Shiva nodded, gulping nervously, then stepped in and gave Cass a slightly awkward, but genuine, hug. She patted her daughter on the back. Batwoman sighed in relief as Shiva pulled away.

Cass: Hm, this is new.

Lady Shiva: You came out of the closet and told me! I feel this strange warmth in my chest. I’m so happy, especially since you won’t waste your life on… men!

Cass (surprised by the hug): I appreciate your acceptance.

Lady Shiva: Cassandra, I’m a villain, not a psycho. Some of my associates are lesbians, pansexual, and there’s one who has no sexual attraction at all. Quite fascinating. Now, who is this woman you see yourself being with in two years?

Cass: You know her well… Spoiler.

Lady Shiva (reluctant): Oh… She’ll grow on me. I can handle strange ones like her.

my style has evolved and changed countless times over the years ( some cute… some that make me curl up into a ball. ) the one thing that stays consistent is public support !! here are some of my favorite style choices that people loved enough to make a trend :^)

crisp, jellylike nails that reflect the light from every angle, that shimmer with an effervescent effect that makes you blink a couple times, like you’re looking at an optical illusion. to me, they’re addicting—apparently the fans agree when cat-eye and jelly manicures skyrocket in popularity

though my ears are riddled with countless holes and piercings ( i barely feel them anymore !! ) the centerpoint to me is my industrial. i fill it with the most extravagant bar piercings, keys and angel wings and jewels. suddenly, piercers start noticing many more requests for this specific cartilage piercing

❤︎ ₊ ⊹ ELECTRIC BLUE OUTFITS.

the color is one of my biggest trademarks—not pastel or royal blue, my favorite is electric, the kind that hurts your eyes a bit if you look at it for too long

buying secondhand furs is sustainable, and faux is just as good as real !! that’s the most important thing to remember, with the trend not only causing fans to don luxurious fluff, but also to rail again the production of real fur ( we love a noble cause coming from it !! )

the moment i see a piece of jewelry that reminds me of the ocean ( or heaven, really ) i snatch it up. moonstone, aquamarine, pearls and silver are among my favorites, with those stones becoming extremely popular in jewelry, and the trend even spreading to other accessories

from rivalry bonds ; my friendship w mariah

clarity/kpop dr

this is another post that was inspired by an edit i saw, which then spawned an edit idea.. but i felt like there’s some lore behind it that needs explaining ahahah

i went into it a little bit in my moodboard + desc. post abt clarity’s friendship but this is more focused on mariah and i

when we first met, we instantly knew we’d be competition bcs we were introduced to each other as vocalists.

i was two years younger than her and desperate to prove myself so i thought “ok, let’s become friends with this girl and see what her skills set is like so i can gauge myself and train accordingly”

mariah on the other hand heard ‘ she’s also a vocalist ’ and immediately was like “nope. i’m the gonna be the vocalist, i don’t want anything to do with her” and i lowkey respect that bcs why was my mindset more sneaky like tf T^T

constantly we were used as a comparison for each other, where i succeeded she would falter and where i fumbled she’d carry through, i think i genuinely hated her at one point bcs she was so talented (and while i was also very talented .. she was also older than me and more likely to debut first)

i think mariah’s animosity towards me was based on my need to always one up myself — if i was given criticism on something, id make it my mission to not only rectify that issue, but i’d do it so well that i’d have to be complimented on it — i had this childish need to be verbally validated not just to my face but in front of other trainees so they knew that despite my age, i’m capable of levelling with them

we were both immature in our own ways and we were uncomfortably similar so we felt seen in one another in a time where we didn’t want anything to do with each other 😭 but then they finally put us in a duet for a monthly eval and our harmonies continue to be talked abt and the clip continues to go viral years after we’ve debuted — vocal powerhouses for sure

that’s when the switch flipped and we let our musical sense drive our relationship rather than our need for validation and victory — at the end of the day, both of us were there bcs we loved music, art, performance, entertainment, we were creative people so we started to explore what it was like to create together, we’d practise together and request duets more often, we were falling in love with the way our voices sounded when harmonising, in a way we actually started to feel more confident if we had each other, side by side, a mic for each of us

and once we began to rely on each, we never stopped. we’re the duo in the group that got the most notice for how we make eye contact and seem to always smile supportively of each other while on stage together, mid-choreo and we’ll be communicating via facial expressions, it’s a problem

anyway, all this to say, our friendship is so strong because of the fraught beginnings — while my other members and i had good relationships from the start (and those relationships are still strong) mariah’s is special for the opposite reason entirely and i think that’s what makes our connection so interesting <333

even if u didn’t go for the whole punch of being justinia’s bastard, i do think being a chantry bastard in general is a good trevelyan backstory. like, with house trevelyan’s pious history of always sending kids to the templars or the priesthood. you’re “bann trevelyan’s youngest” but everyone knows you’re his nephew/niece through his younger sister who’s a revered mother or even a grand cleric somewhere

Finished reading & rewatching CTRL/ALT/ESC.

This episode has definitely crept up on me. I will fully admit it's not one I've thought much about, but I attribute that to s9 being (technically) the first series I watched, and at the time I was too wrapped up in always trying to figure out/guess what was happening (a habit I fortunately dropped by the time I got halfway through s3), that I often forgot to actually pay attention to the story & characters.

Something that really struck me this time - when relistening to the BBC Sounds pod for THE STAKEOUT last week, I really enjoyed this particular exchange with Adam Tandy (when Steve asks Adam whether he knew the "twist" - not transcribing too much of when Reece talks over him lol):

Reece: (after Adam explains when he got it) The other thing though, is I think you're at an advantage of getting it by reading it. Adam: Yes, there's no doubt about it, because you have to put all of that stuff into the script. So the fact that it's in the script (Reece: It gives beats away), and then it's up to us, when we're making the show, to make all of those beats (Reece: Hidden) hidden, or as subtle, or as placed, or as carefully revealed to a certain degree as we edit. Reece: It's interesting, that. Yeah, sometimes we're thinking– we're mindful of the stage directions, giving it away even for the reader - you! Adam: But you shouldn't do that (Reece: I know, I know, yeah), because obviously that's–you know, even if it's slightly spoiled for me, it's important that those beats are all in there, so that we can then judge them when we put it together.

Very much like THE STAKEOUT (and perhaps many of the other episodes but having rewatched the latter recently, this is the comparison that's on the forefront of my mind lol), I thought it was really interesting to see how much of these "beats" were in the script! Especially everything Millie says, and the conversation between Lynne and Jason (and his reaction to what she's saying).

Four more points of interest:

I love how vague the description was for Doug setting the atmosphere to the escape room - it gave an opportunity for Reece to improvise (I assume!) the little "torch in the wrong direction" gag (and he did it twice!!). Always appreciate how much he adds whenever his screentime is limited. I also remember seeing a lot of "OLLIE PLIMSOLLS???" in the sub's discussion thread and not knowing what that was all about hahaha.

Going into this ep, I kept in mind the bit in THE PARTY'S OVER where Steve mentions how quickly they've been filming everything because of the nature/pacing of the escape room, and that he had to write in another puzzle to fill in some space.

For some reason, I was expecting to see this "extra" puzzle in the script, but of course it wasn't there if he added this in during filming! Really enjoyed the fact that he came up with an extra minute of content for before Jason finds the UV torch, just like that! And ofc calling himself a clever bastard, haha.

On a more personal note, I'd like to say that the hospital scenes and Millie's attitude towards Doug felt very...real to me. I've been in her shoes before (more than once, sadly), and her frustration/anger/sarcasm(?) as a defense/coping mechanism(?) was incredibly relatable. I was very moved by Doug's response to just be kind to her, because he knows she's venting and needs someone to direct all of this at.

I do love the uplifting/cathartic ending, and appreciate they switched it around and made the 'EXIT' sign turning green as the final image of the episode instead!

i am a firm believer that the bobby buried alive script was an april fools prank from the cast btw, i know it seems cruel but this was before bobby actually died, they probably had no idea the collective crashout would be THIS big 😭

Working on my robot au and i decided ichimatsu would be the brother that would be extremely popular bc hes marketed as a domestic companion. There'd be someone in a civil rights legal battle with the supreme court to actually allow ai-human marriages to be legally recognized, with an ichibot.

I say this for several reasons, but mostly bc i can see yall doing that.

Osomatsu would be the cheapest to buy secondhand bc he keeps accidentally gaining real sentience and uses it immediately to gamble, commit crimes, fuck around and over all do osomatsu related bullshit. But he can drive! Thats his special feature!

I have ideas ofc for the other ones but lol ive been thinking "and osomatsu can drive too please stop returning him you cab use him as a taxi driver and make money off of him you just have to be okay with the fact he might hit on your customers or crash your car, or steal your money to gamble pleeaaaseee we're trying to fix this in Series 4!"

i think why buck and chris relationship is so important to me because yes i understand eddie loves chris without conditions, that’s his son. he’s an amazing father. that’s his own flesh and blood. he tries to do right by him. he is doing right. his love for him is enormous, it transcends everything in his life.

chris is his life. there’s no doubt about it. i can definitely understand a parent’s love. how protective he is of christopher. but buck? buck isn’t his flesh and blood, buck has only known this kid when he was seven. and i do not attempt to say that he loves chris just as much as eddie (maybe to eddie he does) (nobody will fight for my son as hard as you) BUT he loves him in his own unconditional way. he’s an amazing person in chris’ life. he tries to do right by him. takes note of everything, listens to every detail and makes it happen for chris. his love for him is enormous, it also transcends things in his life.

he took this kid in and loved him in such a way it seems paternal. it seems familial. it seems like he wants to take him in, take him as his own and he has. he doesn’t seem to have any relationship close to it. and there’s this want that makes me visceral. to want to continue doing this, doing life, doing cupcakes and homework and going to the zoo.

it’s one thing for a step parent to love their step kid, that’s a wonderful thing on its own, but in canon buck and eddie aren’t together. and they only show this type of relationship with them. like!!!

🍞 : BREAD . . . create a mood board of some of your closest friendships in your desired reality. you could include their face claim, favorite color, clothing style, what your friendship with them all looks like, etc.

clarity glimmer under the spotlight, they dazzle from the fluorescence of their curated stages, capturing the crowd with a particular intensity and coordination that seems effortless and yet unable to be replicated . anyone who takes at most a few minutes to watch these girls grace the stage, they would be unable to deny how in tune the four of them are with each other — their eyes shine with anticipation and affection when they meet the gaze of another member, uncontrollable smiles blooming on their lips with little restraint, hands reaching out , ready for an impromptu high five, a subtle pinky link or even the fan favourite handshake that they created — there is this undeniable connection they share, their chemistry spirals around them, a cloak of comfort , a crown of confidence , radiating from their mere presence when they stand together, as one.

this group consists of mariah (referenced top left), aining (referenced top mid), vicki (referenced top right), and mina (aka me - referenced as the girl on the left of the top three images) .. [disclaimer : none of those images are fc’s !! well . the girl on the left in image one looks a lil like me but wtv not the point . i’ll post proper fc’s in the member intro . eventually . but just ignore the visuals for now, focus on the vibes pls !!]

mariah and i didn’t get along at the start . we were only 12 (me) and 14 (her) but we were immediately pitted against each other, constantly asked to compete, always assigned to opposing teams, evaluated on the same day every. time. ..it wasn’t a very healthy environment to be fostering a friendship (especially given how we’re both vocalists and always felt like we were being compared) so we decided to remain civil but separate. that is, until our teachers realised we could be paired up together. tumultuous feelings were pushed aside and we became a powerhouse of vocals, a two woman melody, a human orchestra . competition turned to companionship and we quickly began to rely on each other — she’s my realist who holds a mirror to my faults and bandages the wound after i realise it’s there — she gave me the greatest person to fall back on when i’m not at my best , herself

aining is like that one person who you cannot and will not remember living life without, she feels fated. we were strangers together, at the same audition . she was taking it seriously, i was there for fun. a few weeks later i recognise her across the hallway at the same high school, the same girl, she’s always been right there . in that fashion we repeatedly floundered through a flurry of months where we noticed each other at school before being seperate again, only to finally reunite at the same company, under the same training program, assigned to the same dorm.. maybe it’s because we’re from the same country, state, city, town . maybe it’s because we build each other up where the other falls short , but for reasons i can’t exactly put into words, aining became my best friend. she feels familiar in every essence of its meaning, and i’m forever thanking the stars that we debuted in the same group

vicki feels like a lightning strike, she was the eruption of colours encircling me when my life fell into grey — i was fading from the constant monotony of evaluations, practice, training, and was slowly sinking from the realisation that i wasn’t absolutely perfect at my skills . i still had a ways to go before i could debut . not a fun feeling to acknowledge..i had this chill creep inside me , this fear of leaving it all behind, and then came vicki, scampering past like a little fox on its daily adventure, a glint in her smile and an idea already forming in her mind . she brought me back from that abyss, dragging me past anxiety avenue and depression district. you see, vicki has this ability to reach inside and pull out your innermost stress and then dissolve it before your very eyes, she pushes past your pressure and fatigue and asks you to watch as they ripple away. she motivated me to write , to produce , to create . she held me together when i could not hold myself, she saved me from a future where i would not have been me, and she did it all with a smirk and a cheek poke
