During the course of few days the most commonly used adjectives for Lu Guang in social media caught my eyes and irritated me to my core. The adjectives are- "selfish", "hypocrite" and "unhealthy" (in the way lu Guang loves Cheng xiaoshi *many are in denial about that too and I don't have the excruciating energy to argue with them*).

Now, let me shed light upon the text book definition of selfish - "one who is chiefly concerned with one's own personal profit or pleasure." (Wikipedia). Okay, so Lu Guang trying to save Cheng Xiaoshi is an act of selfishness? Isn't it basic instinct to protect our beloved? When our house is on fire isn't it human behaviour to look out for our people and trying to save them from the massacre or do we look out for our neighbours and try to look out for them when our own house is burning? When I have 2 dollars in my bank account and the ransom for saving an unknown person is exact 2 dollars, for the humanity and compassion and love for others I will spend that two dollars on that person but I will not take a loan for that right? But for my beloved, for my friends, for those who matter in my life the most I will not think even for a bit to go that extra mile and take loan from the bank and pay the hefty interest for the rest of my life. That's how struggle for existence, struggle to stay relevant is. Darwin's survival of the fittest isn't a very new concept right? It's our basic human instict to look out for our community people, seek out for them. In Hindu mythology, there's a saying - friends and beloveds should be like Krishna and Karna- those who stay by your side in dire need, even when on some level you are wrong, even when the world is against you. And why people are considering that saving people's life , changing timeline and messing up the fundamentals of time theory is just like a kid's play for Lu Guang and he don't have to pay any price for that . A price that can even make and remove his existence from everywhere? Where is Lu Guang's fault that he dared to dream to be with his beloved, the only person he has? In this context I will like to give reference to a line of vortex - "knowing it all am I destined to fall?, Knowing it all, Like once you did for me . " This this the Biblical reference to the story of Adam and Eve. Lu Guang is only able to know, he is not able to change everything. He can only try to change , keeping everything he has on sake, even his life. One thing - if Lu Guang sacrifices himself for everyone, how will he exist - Lu Guang's spirit animal is a cat, he doesn't have nine lives literally.

Next comes the very common trope of blaming Lu Guang as a hypocrite. For the reference I am attaching the definition of hypocrite from Cambridge Dictionary ( I don't think there can be a more authentic source for the definition) - Someone who says they have particular moral beliefs but behaves in way that shows these are not sincere. Okay so are we mixing up the very basic concept of moral beliefs and human instict to love, to care, to save and in general the basic human instict to "struggle for existence" . Even a suicidal person struggles on the threshold point of of their urge to live and their wish to end this life. Has Lu Guang ever claimed that he is that resurrected Chirst figure. In this late capitalist state he is here to save the mankind and punish the sinner. No, right ? So why are we making him a God like figure? And Lu Guang is hypocrite about what? For not letting Cheng Xiaoshi know that he will be going through workplace sexual assault when transmigrated to Emma's body? According to my understanding when someone is transmigrating to another person's body one is subscribing to experience one's lived experience, then with the vengeance for the horrible act they suffered, acting accordingly. When one is transmigrating don't you think letting one know about the experience one will be going through we are nullifying the other person's lived experience? When a person residing in center experiences a marginalized person's life ( in this case her marginalization happens because of her gender and class - both economic and social) it's difficult for the person living in the center fathom the intensity of a incident, everything isn't about textbook definitions. Moreover, did Lu Guang had the chance? Don't we think Lu Guang was helpless in that situation or is being dehumazined to a level that we are hesitant of thinking Lu Guang can have basic emotions? Or are we blaming Lu Guang for not letting Cheng Xiaoshi know about Emma's death? We all know in what condition (both mental and physical) Cheng Xiaoshi was after coming back from transmigrating into Emma's body.

Now, comes the adjective used for Lu Guang - " unhealthy" and we can also consider this as being non-concensual, abusive, obsessive kind of lover or "mate" as people like to call .. or should I say comrade? Anyway, one thing I learnt from this is that when a person is going to meet with an accident - I will first stop the speeding car going to hit the person and then let them sign the contract that will have made beforehand stating that I am allowed to save that person:⁠-⁠).! So that, the person whom I am saving don't get a guilt trip that they are being saved . As in that process I might have hurt myself and that person don't have to live through a life long guilt of being saved. Are we literally so much into the kind of media where we worship the Petrarchan trope of love that taking active action for one's love is being criminalized.

And people are so intrigued about passing value judgement about Lu Guang that he is judged merely being judged into the New Critic's way "good" or "bad"- "Is Lu Guang adding any value to our life?" "Is Lu Guang making you a good human being suitable to serve the big bens of the capitalist society?" - if not, then just tag Lu Guang as a horrible person. In the constant urge of villainizing Lu Guang, we have dehumazined Lu Guang so much that we have forgotten to see him as an individual and visualing him from a human parameter. I feel like the main thing going on with the island is time manipulation, and that's what the federation is testing.

The first thing that really shows this idea is the federation asking, "what was your name?"

It's not phrased wrong either, Bad tried fixing it to be, "what is your name" but they changed it back. Kinda like when your on the island, it's not that your away from people physically but also by time, you are now in a limbo, controlled by the island.

Another part is that no matter what time it is, the federation says, "good morning." As if they know what the actual time is.

Another thing to point out is the importance of skies and clocks. When the federation or the entities show, the sky turns either a different time, or storm wise. That or day or night will be longer than normal, causing people confused on why it has not changed when it should of have.

Even the ARG site points this out with having a question where when you get answers for it, it gives you a bunch of sky and water pictures at different times.

Plus the questions are split by time, going from 00:00 to 10:00 or close to that time. (Could be 11:00 but we can't be sure-)

The final evidence is with the eggs. Mainly the fact that they chose eggs for the players to take care of.

Eggs, or children, take a long time to take care of.

But also, eggs grow fast.

We usually say in most stories, dragon eggs take years to hatch, but the eggs from the Qsmp... don't look like dragon eggs, and to be honest, usually when we have videos talking about the eggs, we usually see chicken eggs.

Those type of eggs take 20 to 21 days to hatch. Which is kind of interesting since on that day on the server there was a planned, "save the baby" mission, which got canceled for some glitches, but still interesting that it was still planned to happen-

Either or, the eggs didn't hatch during that time...

So maybe they are a different kind of egg, like a different type of bird. Usually those hatch in 30 days!

But still!!! They go even past that time! They even get some cracks but we theorize it's by getting hurt and not because they are hatching.

So maybe they are dragon eggs! They will take a long time before they even start hatching!

What if the eggs are the test?

To see how long normal eggs take to hatch on this island?

And to cover it they have been calling them dragon eggs to make us believe they will only take a while to hatch?

And the players are the guards for the test?

And they are also testing how close these guards can be to their eggs, what lengths they will go, for an egg they don't even know if will hatch.

Chronostasis: chronostasis; the power to physicaly stop time for any living being with just a single cut

Nighteye: foresight; the power to tell what is to be and what is to become, formerly without intervention

What do they all have in common?

THEY ARE ALL RELATED TO TIME

AND ALL IN SEASON 4? COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT! What if its like a metaphor for the fates? What if eri is past, chrono is present, and sir is future? What if they represented the thread of time its self? WHAT IF BECAUSE ONE OF THEM DIED THE TIMELINE OF MHA GOT THROWN OFF BALANCE????

I can go on and on and on on this theory but that is a can of worms if i open, i fear i will never shut up about

Value of Time

Time is something that, once used, you can never get it back, whether you are a king or a servant. You are a mortal being with a limited lifetime.

Sometimes, a small conversion may lead to something huge that changes your perspective towards life. The same thing happened to me recently when I talked with my friend. I gained a new understanding of the value of time and realized the importance of time management in our life.

{say in a timeline, someone was prototyped into a sprite, but in a doomed timeline they played the game {reating an unused god bed, if the prototyped version of themselves {ould get to the god bed, {ould they use it to a{hieve god-hood or no?}

Oh!! I love hypotheticals!! Now, there are several layers to this question that are interesting- many of which intersect with one of the many schools of thought regarding Post-SBURBian theories of Time. Given there is a whole aspect revolving around it, it's no wonder that an entire discipline of researchers dedicate their lives to studying time loops and retro-chronology. But one of the best parts about it are the things still unconfirmed, and the many interesting theories on things like Doomed Timelines. So let’s talk some Time Theory, shall we?

First of all, if we are talking sprites, particularly sprites made of components from Doomed Timelines, you are going to intersect with the Meta-Chronological Theory and the mobiusBondage argument. Both have solid backing behind them- but physical travel to doomed timelines is really difficult, and thus these theories are hard to confirm.

Meta-Chronological Theory proposes that our perception of time is subservient to a “Meta-Timeline”, which argues that you can find chronology in simultaneous events based on their position in a “Meta-Timeline”. Basically, for a time loop to happen, this theory states that the events happen first, and then the choice to travel is made, which then retroactively causes the events. Retro is important here- the events happened first, the “justification” only happened after. Under this theory, the doomed timelines would happen “first” before they go back and get sprites, thus causing the timeline to “unhappen” which is necessary as a Doomed Timeline by definition is unsustainable and unstable due to causing a paradox. In this case, you are unable to travel back to the Doomed Timelines bed, as by the sprite being there, means the Doomed Timelines has already unexisted on the Meta Timeline.

However, the mobiusBondage argument states that if Skaia is omniscient, which by all metrics it is, then that means it has already experienced all moments of time. Thus, from Skaia, and thus the game's view, all moments in time have happened and are happening at the same time, thus leading to simultaneous circumstances across massive lengths of time, (which has been tested for and confirmed as true!) In this school of thought, you could travel to a Doomed Timeline and Ascend there, if we had the technology to get there and back, as it both exists and has already unhappened at the same point in time. You just need to travel to the point where it exists.

(As for if Sprites can Ascend on the corresponding Quest Bed, the answer is yes- it has happened many times, as they still count as a version of a Player's Self. It's the same reason Guardians who travel to the Scratched version of their original session can Ascend on their Player Self's bed!)

Of course, as of this point in subjective time, there is no way to travel to a Doomed Timeline safely. They are inherently unstable and marked for deletion by Arch Angles, and none who have seen them have not been unmade. Still, Hypotheticals are fun!! And I do have a soft spot for Time Theory. Nothing has really been proven in Outer-Loop Chronology, but the discoveries in other fields have been really fascinating! The only reason we even know about Simultaneous Circumstances are due to some absolute geniuses like quadriUnido or pinstripeStreaming. If you ever have the time it's a fun rabbit hole to fall into! look, I know I've talked about this essay (?) before but like,

If you ever needed a good demonstration of the quote "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic", have I got an exercise for you.

Somebody made a small article explaining the basics of atomic theory but it's written in Anglish. Anglish is basically a made-up version of English where they remove any elements (words, prefixes, etc) that were originally borrowed from romance languages like french and latin, as well as greek and other foreign loanwords, keeping only those of germanic origin.

What happens is an english which is for the most part intelligible, but since a lot everyday english, and especially the scientific vocabulary, has has heavy latin and greek influence, they have to make up new words from the existing germanic-english vocabulary. For me it kind of reads super viking-ey.

Anyway when you read this article on atomic theory, in Anglish called Uncleftish Beholding, you get this text which kind of reads like a fantasy novel. Like in my mind it feels like it recontextualizes advanced scientific concepts to explain it to a viking audience from ancient times.

Even though you're familiar with the scientific ideas, because it bypasses the normal language we use for these concepts, you get a chance to examine these ideas as if you were a visitor from another civilization - and guess what, it does feel like it's about magic. It has a mythical quality to it, like it feels like a book about magic written during viking times. For me this has the same vibe as reading deep magic lore from a Robert Jordan book.

You know how Jaybin was very "pat-patable" so there were always one or two panels where other characters patted his head? So, I actually need this to be ultimate Jason's ability to charm anyone to want to pat him on the head, to the point it continues even after he becomes a double-fridge. Once his helmet is not on him, everyone is just... struck with an urge to ruffle his hair. And it doesn't matter if they are older, younger, or shorter — everyone just want to do that.

Jason brings kids from streets to Leslie to check on them and help to settle down with new families? Leslie asks him to lean over here and pats him on the head, ignoring his flustered face. Jason cooperates with Two-Face? Get a random pat-pat.

The worst part? Kids do that, too!

One moment, he is squatting in front of a kid, cooing at them, and in the next moment, they softly ruffle his hair to thank him for help. And this is embarrassing.

Okay, first of all, I think you are right. There *is* something happening between Harrow went to make war on hell/hell spat her out. These three stars show it:

I have... two thoughts about that. The first one is this very genius post by @swordrogue (you should really read because it contains a lot of interesting ideas.) I'd like to quote especially this part from it (please go read it!):

Tamsyn Muir stated that the “Harrow” part of Harrowhark references the biblical harrowing of hell. But what is that? Well, according to catholic canon, in the three days between Jesus dying and resurrecting, he kept pretty busy! In fact, Jesus went down to Hell and basically freed all the people who had died since...ever. So now all the past and future dead have the chance to go to Heaven, I guess, as long as they’re faithful. There is emphasis on him saving some of the righteous Old Testament folks, and particularly Adam and Eve.

We know that the Harrowing of Hell takes place at the beginning of Alecto. (But maybe the beginning of Alecto happens in that short time where we don't know what happened? Who knows. Maybe connected to it: )

Harrow goes to Hell in HtN. Hell spits her out. And suddenly there are all these devils in NtN we see only one time before (when some of them posses Collum in Canaan House under very specific circumstances)? They don't seem to have been a problem before...

You know re time, I kinda have this notion that the end of Chapter 1 of Harrow doesn’t end right as Harrow dies from being by skewered by Mercymorn. I understand that contextually she hears the resurrection beasts heralds, as well as sounds of steel clashing like swords, but that particular bit about hell spitting her back out?? Like yeah, this could be her returning from the river, and it probably is, but like. I don’t know. I feel like there’s something there with the fact that Alecto starts with Harrow in Hell.

Huh...

On one hand, it fully does work. (It's the Prologue rather than Ch1 but I know what you mean.) When she goes to "make war on Hell", that just being hyperbole / metaphorical to talk about dropping into the River to help with the RB works just fine. Harrow drops in, gets stabbed before she gets too deep, pops back out. It's fine... There's nothing about it that especially demands scrutiny...

And that's how Tamsyn fucking gets us, isn't it...

Because the other Lyctors never saw Harrow drop in with them... And "make war on Hell" / "Hell spat you back out" was said before we knew there was a literal entrance to Hell down there, too. Hell is capitalized there... When John says "give it hell, children" paragraphs before, it isn't, but the Hell Harrow goes to make war on is. When John describes the stoma as the mouth to Hell, it is.

And at the end of Ch39, which leads into the Prologue at John's "ten minutes until breach"... there's the separation formatting putting emphasis on the single last line:

And you walked to your death like a lover.

And what took place between "Ten minutes until breach" and "went to make war on Hell"? Ianthe's whole deal, and after she leaves, the last thing before dropping in, Harrow praying...

“I pray the tomb is shut forever,” you heard yourself saying aloud, and you could not bring your voice above a choked whisper. “I pray the rock is never rolled away. I pray that which was buried remains buried, insensate, in perpetual rest with closed eye and stilled brain. I pray it lives … O corse of the Locked Tomb,” you extemporised wildly. “Beloved dead, hear your handmaiden. I loved you with my whole rotten, contemptible heart—I loved you to the exclusion of aught else—let me live long enough to die at your feet.”

You walked to your death like a lover.

And how does Harrow's side of things and the whole book end? With that... trippy scene that doesn't add up...

The chains in their great holes were snapped and broken. The ice crawled up the sides of the empty altar. Within that bed of ice and glass, on the stone-shaped pillow to prop the head, that final resting place of Harrowhark’s one true love, lay a sword. [...] Harrowhark had come home, and she was not afraid. She did not know why she did it, but she climbed inside that empty coffin, and she took the sword within her arms. She was filled with a drowsy, comfortable certainty, as though rather than an icy tomb she had been tucked into a bed with a pillow fluffed beneath her. Her eyelids felt as heavy as the chains that lay broken around the outside of the bier. The sword she embraced shamelessly; those six feet of steel held no fear for her now. Something rustled at her side. She had not seen it when she climbed in; it had been tucked to one side of the coffin. When she reached out to hold it in front of her face, she found a shiny mass of magazine flimsy. [...] “Frontline Titties of the Fifth,” she read, and found she was smiling helplessly to herself. She murmured: “Nav, you ass, that’s not even a real publication.” Then there was a huge, side-to-side rocking, in the manner of an explosion, or a cradle. Her eyes closed. Lying in the tomb that had claimed her heart, faraway in a land she had never travelled, Harrowhark Nonagesimus fell asleep, or dropped dead, or both.

And assuming it was genuine and doesn't significantly change, we know AtN opens with Harrow waking up to see the titty magazine, and is also called "Harrow in Hell."

I deeply deeply think you're onto something here.

How deeply Harrowhark would it be to keep her plans to herself, even from the audience? To see that she is certain to die fighting a Resurrection Beast, to know the others don't even expect her to show up to the fight, and to use the time instead to slip right down to the bottom and try to do some shit in Hell that we simply have not been privy to yet.

With the emphasis on the chains being broken, what are the odds that Chapter 53 takes place after Nona the Ninth?

Hell, given the epilogue setting up Nona is labeled "Six Months After The Emperor's Murder", and Chapter 53 is labeled "Half an Hour Ago", how much even higher are the odds that "Half an Hour Ago" is relative to AtN, not to the Emperor's Murder. Especially given we've only seen tiny snippets of Harrow since?

With all my other thoughts about Time being broken, could it even be that Chapter 53 was Half an Hour Ago before the start of AtN, yet for Harrow specifically was experienced before the epilogue of NtN, while to everyone else what Harrow remembers before came after?

There's something here... There's something...

You make it a habit to just kind of touch sukunas body absentmindedly while you think about everyday things in bed, or on the couch while hes next to you, tracing his tattoos or just smoothing your hand up and down his back-- its lead you spiralling down into a trap as he now becomes the sassiest man ever if you stop touching him.

Just thinking about how he would be sprawled out stomach first on the bed, face turned the other way, seemingly asleep- but the twist is that the moment your hand stops moving, he quickly turns back at you 0.001 seconds after with the 😐 face and asks "why'd you stop."

He'd never verbally request you to rub his back or stomach, or to play with his hair, because he has his sense of pride (stubborn old man.) but if hes lying on your lap or next to you in bed a little too close or when he gives you a certain look, its kind of an invitation for you to start doing your thing 😇 hes so adorable

Its surprising how obsessed he becomes with physical touch when sukuna is attached...

He gets more and more awfully spoiled because you enable him! Soon he will have you brushing your fingers through his hair for hours on end or have you massaging his hands and fingers for no good reason at all. Real princess treatment 👍 (he is always touch starved)
