Sometimes, all I do is sit on a rock, and wait for the sun to come to my corner of the sky and then slowly disappear. I place myself under the vast sky to remember how small I am and the puzzles I try to solve. I forget what I desperately chase to remember the promises I made to my soul.
Desperation is the mask
I don when I try
To fill the limitless void inside of me
Like maybe if I love you
Beyond literal comprehension
There'll be some feeling left to spare
For the girl within
I want to fall asleep in your arms every night, and wake up to the sight of your charming face. I want you to hold me close all night long, and never let go.
Go so deep that you disappear into me and blend with my bones.
I do like writing these short pieces called elfchen poems, a five line, 11 word poem with the word sequence pattern of 1-2-3-4-1. It is an art to be able say something meaningful using only a handful of words.
poetry is finding a vintage copy of pride and prejudice in a little bookshop during the last full day i have with my love for a little while.
i had introduced them to the BBC 6 part series and that swept us both into a long running love of period films and dramas. imagine our incredible joy finding such a lovely copy on display.
our love for each other distilled into a $5.99 vintage novel that is now proudly sat underneath what we (hilariously) call our 'relationship shrine' (this consists of love letters, mementos, photos etc. of us).
