you oblige to percy’s request and let your mouth open slightly. with the space you’d made, he rubs the side of his strawberry against each of your lips. you savor the sweet taste of them as he does so, urging strongly to reach out and lick it off.

when he finishes, percy drops the strawberry back into the bowl before sliding a hand to the back of your neck and pulling your juice coated mouth to his.

the kiss is soft and all-inviting; comforting. like newly washed blankets or the spring breeze taking you within its cool arms.

percy’s tongue grazes your bottom lip, savoring the taste of strawberry against it, before coaxing your mouth to once again part to tangle your tongues together as one.

his eagerness to devour you whole make the butterflies within the pits of your tummy flutter their wings and fly freely.

you blindly reach your hands out to push the bowl out from in between you and percy, only praying the berries don’t fall onto the grass. though once presumed gone, you slide your body closer to percy’s, climbing into his lap.

your hands slip around his shoulders, curling into the hair at the nape of his neck to keep his mouth against yours.

“perce—” you part for a split millisecond before his lips chase yours. each attempt to break away results in this same action from him.

you slide your hand downwards to his chest, trying to push him from you. though he doesn’t stray far, he never does.

you decide to entirely leave his arms, finally departing your mouth from his and sitting back in front of him opposed to his lap.

percy pouts like you’d told him you hated him. you shake your head playfully and kiss his nose quickly.

“I’m sorry.” you reach into the bowl and take another strawberry.

he understands, quickly, what you’re doing, as you paint it back over your mouth, and then reach over to do the same to his, squeezing the juice over his lips.

his tongue darts out but you quickly push it back into the hollow of his mouth.

“okay. better.” you place the berry back.

percy grins ear to ear. “can we continue now?”

you pretended to think about it for a moment before uttering a, “get over here” and throwing yourself back into his arms, indeed continuing!
