The 5th house - What kind of lover are you
About me | Masterpost
As the 5th house is 2nd from the 4th house, it's the tangible manifestation of your core, the creation of your inner emotional world, your heart. From it, your heart connects with the world around you. From it, love is given out to the world. The 5th house is generally regarded as the house of "romance", I think more specifically, it shows your "part" or "role" in that romance, your side of the story, who you are in a love story, what kind of lover are you.
♥ 5th house in Aries/ Mars in 5th house - "The Ardent Lover"
The one who sees love as the purest principle, something that needs to be revered and pursued with dedication and passion. No mind games, no dirty tricks, no manipulation, no timid guessing, just an honest declaration of love. To be the apple in your eyes is to be placed upon a pedestal. Once you're in love, you put your all in, it will be their greatest focus and inspiration. Each heartbreak is followed by rising up with a new hope. Love never loses its lustre to you. You are direct, straightforward and impulsive in your advances. Your passion and desire rule your actions. Competitions and the act of chasing make your adrenaline rushing. You want to "win", victories, whether over other competitors or your own lover, is of paramount importance. The need to conquer can make you seek competition where it's not needed. Can turn indignant and defensive when your love and faithfulness are being doubted. You can be perceived as "aggressive" and "rough" by the more sensitive people. Physical intimacy and physical touch, in general, are key to keeping your love burning.
♥ 5th house in Taurus/ Venus in 5th house - "The Indulging Lover"
Love to you is like honey, natural, nutritious, sweet, fragranced, viscous. Something that you want to dip yourself and your lover in, indulge and sink deeper and deeper into it. Love is simple yet eternal, "never let you go". A true romantic, you breathe love to keep your heart alive. Everything looks more beautiful when you have someone to love, and that someone will be the object of your adoration. You don't go out of your way to pursue someone, has anyone ever seen Venus do the chasing? No, lovers come to you, willingly, because they know that it's futile to resist the lure of Venus. You attract, by being your most beautiful self, by subtly sending signals to all the senses of your person. It can be quite a sensory overloaded experience for your lover. It's not easy to please all of your desires, not easy to turn your heat all the way up, but once it's ignited, it's not easy to snuff it out, fierce devotion. To an impulsive lover, you can seem to be slow and passive, to a patient and passionate lover, you're the forest they want to get lost in.
♥ 5th house in Gemini/ Mercury in 5th house - "The Exploring Lover"
The one who loves with their mind, you can be confused all the time about whether you're attracted to someone simply because you have interesting conversations with them or if there is anything more to that person. Love is a mental pursuit, a chess game, a word play that you want to go on and on. Love is light and exciting. The longest conversation. You show your love by communicating with your lover, to keep the connection line going. Teasing, asking questions, about them, about everything that comes to your mind. "Is there anyone willing to look at my mind and be willing to let me look at yours?". A simple smirk, two hands brushing each other, entwined fingers, a sparkle in the eyes, a hearty laugh and then giggles, those things can melt your heart and in turn, you can melt other's hearts with those. You take your lover to a wonderland, where your minds can be free to play, but also calm enough to rest. Life and love is an endless adventure, and you need a companion who can tag along, who can play juggling with you. Being held down and bored, in any sense, are your greatest nightmares. You want to have sweet dreams only, but nightmares can grab you if you don't focus and pay attention.
♥ 5th house in Cancer/ Moon in 5th house: "The Enveloping Lover"
Love is like a flood that washes over both you and your lover. The shared experience of being enveloped by emotions of all kinds, both the highs and lows, nothing is spared. You search for a lover who can allow you to feel safe enough to experience a love that can feel so engulfing at times. It's that emotional safety, knowing that you can reveal your full heart to somebody, to be spontaneous and moody without being judged. Being loved by you is like being wrapped in nostalgia of a time when everything was simple and pure, when everything was safe and taken care of, there's a childlike playfulness and simple quality to your love. To someone who didn't get to have those actual memories, you can create that memory for them, as if you created an alternative past for them. "Love" is synonymous with "Protection", you want both of you to protect each other, from the harsh world, from the demons inside, to create a home so safe that one doesn't want to get out of, one yearns only for it wherever they go. It's hard for you to let go of a lover, and it's also hard for them to let go of you. The hold may wax and wane, but never disappears completely.
♥ 5th house in Leo/ Sun in 5th house: "The Shining Lover"
Love, the warm sunlight that nurtures your heart. You are like a tree when in love, while artificial light can sustain you. You truly thrive only when you can have the most natural light source, the strongest and purest of them all. Authenticity, a love that doesn't hide or shy away, no hidden motives, no twisted desires, just pure exhilaration, basking in the glow of love. The love you give is unfiltered, as if you're giving your own heart away. Not everyone is capable of taking care of it properly, you learn the lesson of protecting your own heart and be more discerning of whom you can let in. Even then, the natural impulse is to spread whatever goodness inside you, out into the world. Being in love makes your life feel more colourful and lively. And you, in turn, wish to inspire your lover just like how you're inspired, it pains you to see a sinking spirit. You instil vitality into your lover's heart, making their heart beat to the rhythm of life. Some can feel your love too bright and burning, shying away from it, trying to darken it. This leaves you puzzled, you might even attempt to dim your light, but your dignity won't allow you to do that for long. No tree stops blooming just because one or two humans didn't appreciate it.
♥ 5th house in Virgo/ Mercury in 5th house: "The Devoted Lover"
Love is the quiet thunder that rumbles beneath the cool, serene surface of your heart. You want to build a lasting love, yes, "build", love doesn't strike you like lightning that makes you busted into intense fireworks, love is like knitting, one stitch at a time, stitch by stitch, line by line, until you get a cosy sweater that keeps you warm for many years to come, it takes skill and dedication. You also extend that comfort to your lover. To love is to worry, to care, to be there for that person. You would want your lover to thrive, to be spared of the burdens of responsibilities, you're willing to take on those burdens for them, to make their life better. But a truly fulfilling love is when you can receive that same devotion from your lover. You also need to be cared for just as much as you care for them. But sometimes, your lover's love doesn't measure up to the "silent" standard that you have, in a way, no one can love you perfectly like how you want them to. While knowing that, you still choose to be by their side, because you accept their imperfections, their imperfect love, because that's how you love.
♥ 5th house in Libra/ Venus in 5th house: "The Ideal Lover"
Venus's mirror, love reflects back at you all the beautiful things about the world and yourself. You also want to reflect them back on your lover. You can find yourself mirroring your lover, encouraging their shining qualities, making them aware of their own virtues, and simultaneously erasing their vices. You can turn your lover into a prince charming, a lovely princess, because you're one. You want you and your lover to be two beautiful human beings, both inside out, to walk on this Earth hand in hand. The words "we" and "us" have enormous significance to you. You seek to beautify everything, everyone you touch, to let them see the goodness in this world, yes, you're an optimistic lover, never one to lose hope for an ideal love. Love is like a harmonious melody that plays soothingly everywhere you go, everywhere you look. Harmony, peace and indulgence, the gifts you offer your lover, uplift their spirit, inspire their creativity, soothe their soul, and spoil them rotten with sweetness. You find yourself more alive, more beautiful when you're in love. You can fall in love with love itself. You seek harmony with your lover, nothing should be one-sided, everything should be equal give and take, a delicate dance.
♥ 5th house in Scorpio/ Pluto in 5th house: "The Burning Lover"
The molten volcanic soil underneath the calm and cool lake, whose soul is brave enough to venture there? Love for you is an all-consuming force that sweeps away all commonsense. You want love to be a devouring force, swallowing whole both you and your lover into the pit of the unknown. You push for more, to feel more, to be more. The word "mild" can't find a long-lasting place in your dictionary. Everything, joy, pain, longing, existence, all have to reach a boiling point in order for you to feel truly in love. A love too safe, too soft, too peaceful might get ignored by you. You chase the extremes, sometimes along the way, get burnt yourself, but often, you leave behind burnt lovers. You want to be your lover's only one as they're to you. You want to be the only existence that your lover seeks. There can be the issue of who dominates who, who has the upper hand, love can feel like a power play. You're vigilant against betrayals, you need absolute loyalty, making your lover jump through endless hoops to prove their love to you. Sometimes, you could feel so exhausted by the all-or-nothing love, but you would rather be like that than to be content with a "good enough" affection.
♥ 5th house in Sagittarius/ Jupiter in 5th house: "The Expanding Lover"
Have you ever felt like there's an infinite well of love you can give? not just to your lover but to life. You love someone because they're part of life, to love is to live. Love for you is like a ray of sunshine that wakes you up in the morning, or the breezy wind stroking your hair when you're standing in the middle of a field or on top of a mountain, a piney scent that lures you wandering deep into the woods. Love makes you want to move, explore, enjoy, and celebrate. So you can't feel fulfilled in a relationship that makes you feel small, that shackles your feet, that makes you lose hope. "Potential" is the word, as long as you can feel a potential for a future, you want to give your all, to take a gamble. Fortune favours the bold, you will find your luck in love when you're free and adventurous, when you inspire others. A benevolent lover who wants to help, guide, to protect their lover. Grand romantic gestures, spontaneous expressions of love, laughter that makes your cheeks hurt, deep conversations that stirs your mind, those can be the secret ingredients to capture your heart and also what you use to capture others.
♥ 5th house in Capricorn/ Saturn in 5th house: "The Steadfast Lover"
The life investment you make with your heart, love seems like a tangible thing that you can touch, that you can nurture and turn into a masterpiece of a lifetime. Things of value should be able to last for eternity, that's your motto and your belief in love. Love for you is not fickle like the wind or soft like a cotton candy, love is the steady heartbeat, the more you take care of it, the healthier it is. Thrilling adventures, passionate proclamations of love, over adorned for attention, those things pass right out of your vision, what is that? definitely not what you expect from your lover. You expect commonsense and predictability, you expect constant loyalty and devotion, quiet touches and deep gazes, the hand that holds yours when you're in pain, the silent smile that says "I will be here for you, with you". You stoke your fire with unwavering effort, never letting the flame burn out of hands or die from neglect, just enough to keep both lovers warm and safe. Some say you're picky, that you should loosen up and just give yourself to love, but you're a visionary, you look for love that you can work hard for, that can last the test of time, so no rushing.
♥ 5th house in Aquarius/ Uranus in 5th house: "The Whimsical Lover"
"Love at first sight" probably was invented by you. The sensation of being pierced by Cupid's bow, being struck by lightning, being hit by love out of nowhere is not something you're unfamiliar with. Love visits you like a summer downpour, a breeze that sends fragrances from afar to your nose, a sprouting that grows overnight, a laughter that bursts out amidst deadly silence. Love comes to you unexpectedly, and you find love in unexpected places. To love is to be free, the greatest gift you can give your lover and yourself is freedom, to be yourselves, to find safety in the ever-changing current of life. Who can say staying still is safe and stable? For you, movement is what nurtures a connection. You don't let your love stay stagnant, the novelties are your stable diet. Your love is not for the stubborn of heart, though you can be pretty stubborn and rebellious yourself when you're in love, it's a contradiction that perplex and vex your lover, but it's also the allure that they want to get a hold of, not that they will be successful, but they will try anyway. Like trying to catch lightning, trying to grab light. The only way they will ever get close to you is to be themselves and hope that one day, you two will stumble upon each other as fate wills it.
♥ 5th house in Pisces/ Neptune in 5th house: "The Dream Lover"
This is someone who can elevate the experience of falling in love and being in love to the height of poetry, of songs that lovers sing together. Love is art, art is love, love is the soothing balm that erases all the pain, but also the blind that covers your eyes. Oh, the extent you're willing to go in the name of love. Everything seems to take on more vivid colours, music seems to accompany you everywhere you go, you hear your love through the songs that randomly play in the mart, through the absentminded remark of a stranger, through the flowers that sway gently in the wind. You hear your heart echo back at you through the eyes of your lover. While your eyes hold an ocean that promises blissful abandonment, endless treasure and a subtle warning of being drowned, but others are too busy getting mesmerised by you to stay lucid enough to heed your warning. How many lovers have you drowned? How many seas have you swum alone, longing for a rescuer who can take you to land and keep you warm? You need a love story that feels like a fairy tale, but you also need a love that is real.

Hello!! I was wondering if you had any suggestions for age regression related activities to do that don't include looking at something with a screen (phone, computer, etc)? My eyes get dry really fast so staring at these things can cause some pain. If it helps to narrow things down any, I'm a middle regressor (tween-teen) so some activities around that age work! Thank you in advance!!
hi !! here are some ideas that will hopefully work for you :)
offline activities for tween/teen agere
make friendship bracelets, loom bracelets, or kandi
do activity kits! there's tons of types, like science, painting, jewelry, and so many more. i know that michaels sells lots of these !
visit science or history museums! there's always so much to learn, and you can always bring a journal or sketchbook and write about or make drawings based on what you see
if you have a friend or family member to play with, play board games, card games, chess, or checkers!
jump rope! try learning more complex tricks for an extra challenge
bake some treats! it doesn't have to be complicated; you definitely can make something from scratch, but using a mix from the store is easy, fun, and delicious
make something out of duct tape, like a wallet! (remember when that was a thing?)
build with legos! there's so many different kinds of sets, for any kind of skill level and age. i've completed space, animal crossing and minecraft sets !
put together jigsaw puzzles !
buy coloring books or print out coloring pages! there's such a big market for adult/more detailed coloring books these days, so you're bound to find something fun to color
make origami - all you need is some origami paper, and it's tons of fun
make slime! you can even buy kits from the store to make specific kinds of slime
garden! you could plant native wildflowers outside, plant a vegetable plant or herb, or you could even just plant a flower in a pot on your windowsill. there are also gardening kits that you can buy; i've done a couple of Back to the Roots' sprouts kits, and they're really fun!
i hope that these provide some good ideas for tween + teen age regressors looking for some offline activities! have fun <3

Chapter 22: Mutual
King!SukunaRyomen x Servant!FemReader
Summary: You used to be just another servant among the army of humans operating under the command of the terrible king, Sukuna Ryomen. An ordinary human who only knows how to wash, clean and cook. Until one day, he notices something in you that you hadn't seen before.
More Info.
Beginning. | ← Previous | Next →
"Bastard, bastard, bastard…" You muttered to yourself, thinking about what had happened with King Sukuna a few hours ago.
You paced back and forth, biting your nails and frowning as your mind stormed in a whirlwind of thoughts. The tyrant’s actions had been disconcerting, contradictory and hypocritical. One moment he was romantic, protective and kind, and the next, cold, pedantic and cruel. A clumsy juggler, delighted in dropping one of your fragile feelings only to see it explode. Every time they took a step in that confusing relationship, Sukuna took three steps back, as if he didn’t want, or was afraid, to reach the goal. You had never wanted to punch and understand someone at the same time.
Not only his actions, but also his words were a turbulent sea. After ignoring you for a whole month, he would return with whispered sweetness that didn't seem to fit his rough character. It was as if he immersed you in a warm sauna only to suddenly throw you into a rapid river. He could fulfill all the promises of luxury and riches he once made you, but none of it mattered to you anymore. Not the jewels, not the dresses, not the flowers...
You stopped next to the vase that stood elegantly next to your bedroom window and noticed that, among the bunches of yellow tulips, daisies were hidden. They weren't red, nor blue, nor yellow. They were white, twenty in total. Now that you thought about it, all the bouquets in the castle treasured white daisies among the refined arrangements. That morning you would have thought they were just another flower in the pile, but after hearing the king's words that were still fresh in your mind, they took on another meaning. You grabbed the bow, another gift from the tyrant, and examined the hilt: a daisy engraved on the wood. “White daisies are a symbol of purity and innocence,” you quoted in your mind.
“Pure and innocent…” You repeated with an offended smile on your face. “So he thinks I’m easy to manipulate.”
It was the only explanation that made sense of his disconcerting attitude. He lured you in with promises, luxuries, and sweet words only to snatch them away later, leaving you with the insatiable desire for more. After all, he was a tyrant. He knew well how to manipulate his subordinates, how to squeeze every last drop of use out of those who were caught in his trick-filled game.
You plucked a daisy and sat on the windowsill. You twirled the stem between your fingers, mesmerized by the swaying of the petals as it spun before your eyes. Gently, you took the first petal and gently plucked it, feeling it slip through your fingers.
“He loves me.” You plucked another petal. “He doesn’t love me.” Another one. “He loves me.”
Petal after petal, they slowly fell out of the window. They tumbled down along with your hopes that the king would ever see you as an equal. You held back the urge to cry as you realized how naive you had been to think, even for an instant, that he truly cared about you. But just as you could accept that Yorozu was a trashy bitch who deserved her tragic end, you could also admit that Sukuna was nothing more than a terrible king, who never cared, cares nor would never care about you.
There was only one petal left on the flower. The reality was clear, and there was no turning back. The war may not have started yet, but the game was already underway. On this board called life, the first move is always crucial. Many believe that chess begins when the first pawn advances; in truth, the game begins when you come face to face with your opponent. When you shake your opponent's hand and study their face in detail. Before making your first move, you had to shake the tyrant's hand, with the understanding that this game had already begun as soon as he sat down.
"He doesn't love me." You sighed from the depths of your soul before throwing the last petal out the window.
The next morning, you walked with a determined step through the cool halls, looking for the king. The morning breeze filtered through the large windows to counteract the afternoon heat. Before leaving, you had sent Mrs. Inoue to the beach to collect seashells, an errand with the simple purpose of distracting her away from your affairs for a while. She refused at first, but agreed when you told her that they would be for the servants in Sukuna's kingdom. Upon reaching the hall, you found Kenjaku, directing curses that were cleansing the imposing fountain at the entrance.
“Good morning, young lady,” your tutor greeted you with a wide smile.
“Have you seen the king?” You asked after greeting him with the same energy.
“He went out to get rid of rebel groups, he will be back in the afternoon.” Kenjaku answered. “Did you need him for something?”
“I wanted to see if he wanted to come with me to the beach, but it seems that will be another day,” you lied.
"I doubt he'll have time, we're all very busy with the organization for the coronation and the renaming of the kingdom," Kenjaku explained, disappointed to disappoint you.
"Don't worry, I understand," you hugged him by the arm that held his documents. You managed to read that the coronation would take place in a couple of days.
The king's absence from the castle was a valuable opportunity that you didn't intend to waste. You quickened your pace through the halls, trying to get to his office before anyone could see you. With relief, you noticed that the door was open. You quickly looked to both sides, making sure that no one was watching as you infiltrated like the breeze itself.
Studying the enemy: the first step, the most crucial. Your gaze studied the place completely. The walls were clean, there were only a few tables with small rock decorations, and there was a large desk in the center of the room. The absence of eccentric luxuries made it seem like no one had been there in a while. You sat down in the leather chair in front of the desk. The surface was bare, but the 7 drawers hid secrets, you sensed it. There was one along the desk and three in each column. You noticed that they were all protected with four-digit combination locks. There were 9,999 possible combinations, and the potential answers seemed endless. Important dates? Memorable events? Even numbers? Consecutive numbers? The possibilities were endless, but time was still running out. The king could return at any moment; you needed to act quickly and accurately.
You began guessing, inserting the code 0500, the year King Sukuna conquered the Kamo Kingdom to make it his own. None of the drawers opened with that hypothesis. Then you entered the date he conquered the Jogo Kingdom, 0998, just last year. Nothing. You sat down on the dark leather chair, thinking of what other possible combinations you could introduce. You held your head before sighing heavily as you realized, again, that you didn't know the king well. You probably never would.
You quickly realized one very important factor as you looked at the volcanic rock decorations. This had been King Jogo's office before your king came. This was the old desk where the volcano king had ordered more humans to be killed to satisfy his curses. For that reason, the tyrant didn't make the combinations. You weren't supposed to think like King Sukuna, but like the late King Jogo.
You realized that was why everyone knew the story of King Jogo, to open the 7 drawers that hid his secrets after his passing. You remembered the mural, made by Kenjaku, that told his story to glory. King Jogo was born on the 22nd day of the seventh month of the year 330, you entered the code 2207. The safety latches clicked, opening the first wide drawer completely before you. There were only office supplies such as fancy pens, reams of blank paper, pencils and official seals. It was the first drawer, you couldn't give up now. You were on the right track.
Day 8 of the eighth month of the year 450, King Jogo led the curses of the southern forest to new lands to the west. You opened the second drawer to discover ancient documents of the late king with no current value. You had to keep trying. On The 30th of the fifth month of the year 455, the Kamo kingdom declared the bloodiest war in history on King Jogo. The third drawer opened, nothing related to King Sukuna again. You went through the important anniversaries, but each drawer contained nothing about the upcoming war. You opened 6 of the 7 drawers with the information available on the mural, but none of them had anything useful to you. Only one drawer was missing, and you had no idea what the passcode could be.
“Think, it must be just as obvious,” you motivated yourself in a whisper, hitting your forehead gently with the palm of your hand.
You reviewed the mural in detail that went from his birth to the creation of the volcano. A record of his entire immaculate life. Everything was there… except his death. It was impossible for King Jogo to know the date of his own death, but the one who defeated him did.
You entered the date of King Jogo’s coronation again. It was a shame that 04/13 would now be remembered as the date of his death and renamed as the day King Sukuna took the lands that King Jogo had spent his entire life to build as his. You couldn't help but feel sorry for King Jogo, it was unfair that someone would come and take in less than a year what another took centuries to create.
You opened the drawer to find a single document. A thick 80-page portfolio titled Phase 3, with that font you already knew so well. You smiled in relief, you had found what you were looking for. Now you understood why Sukuna had spent a month hiding in his office. The document was gigantic and eerily perfect. It was a war plan so detailed, bordering on macabre, describing everything from how he would study the Zen'in's terrain while everyone was busy dancing to the declaration of war after a surprise attack on the castle.
It was impossible for you to read the entire plan before the king arrived, so you only focused on the eye-catching headlines. When you looked at it that way, the plan was relatively simple. Step 1: Study the Zen'in. Step 2: Create the heir. Step 3: Ensure that the heir can replace King Sukuna in the future. Step 4: Surprise attack the Zen'in. Step 5: Declare war on the sorcerer kingdoms.
“He’s going to declare war on the entire world?” You stammered in shock.
This was much worse than you imagined. The king was confident enough that he could defeat the most powerful sorcerers in the world to conquer their lands. You clenched the document in an attempt not to throw it across the room from the helplessness you felt. You were on the side of the greatest monster in the new world. The thought of Sukuna sitting on the corpses of all the kings in the world twisted your stomach.
Despite being a single plan, it was divided into several sections in case something went off the original plan such as: what to do in case the Zen’in or another sorcerer kingdom attacks first, what to do if he doesn’t find a mother for the heir soon or what to do if his future heir dies in infancy. The king seemed to have everything under control. If some of his plans failed, he had already planned his success.
You turned the pages carefully so as not to bend any page or leave any mark that you read it. Something that caught your attention was that the entire document was written in pencil, which was rare for Sukuna because he always uses ink to write his official documents. So this had to be a copy. If this was the copy, the original had to be in the castle of Sukuna's kingdom. That didn't matter now. You already knew the plan, it was time to make the first move. But now you weren't fighting for yourself, but for humanity.
Sukuna returned to the castle after an extensive inspection of the kingdom, making sure there were no more rebel groups that threatened his imminent coronation. He hadn't found a reason to kill any curse, which was favorable for future order, although unsatisfactory for his growing boredom. It had been a long time since he had slit someone's throat, and he was beginning to miss the feeling of possession he felt over the lives of others. Kenjaku greeted him with a solemn bow, accompanying him along with Mahito and Hanami as they made their way through the vast halls of the castle.
“Do you want to eat, a bath, or both?” Kenjaku offered.
“Just the bath,” Sukuna replied as he climbed the spiral staircase to the second floor. “I’ll be writing the log in the office,” he announced.
Sukuna walked through the remaining halls until he reached his new naked office, taking a moment to get used to the space that so reflected his dominance. Opening the door, he paused upon noticing your presence. There you were, leaning over his desk, trying to force open the top drawer with obvious frustration. It seemed you hadn’t yet realized that you had to use a password to open it. With your brow furrowed and whispering threats into the drawer as if you could intimidate him, you had an adorable, defiant air that almost drew a smile from him. But, of course, that wasn’t the point.
"Oh, welcome back..." You stuttered nervously, stepping away from the drawer as if you weren't doing anything wrong.
"Who told you could be here?" Sukuna scolded you coldly, entering the place.
"Nobody," you murmured, avoiding his gaze like a dog who just bit its owner's shoes. "I just wanted to borrow a paper and a pencil."
"For what?" Sukuna crossed his arms over his chest, not very convinced of your true intentions.
"For…" You quickly looked for a good excuse. "To do the homework Kenjaku asked me to do," you answered confidently.
"Nice try. I asked Kenjaku to stop the lessons so he could focus on preparing for the coronation," Sukuna explained. “Damn! Now how do I get out of here?” You were in quicksand, one wrong move, and you'll sink into your own trap.
"You're right, you caught me," you stammered out a confession. “I’m just… planning a surprise for him,” you whispered secretly, even though no one else was in the room.
Sukuna frowned, puzzled. A surprise? For him? Why? He actually hated surprises; the idea that something happening outside his control was deeply irritating to him. However, the fact that this surprise came from you sparked an unexpected and captivating curiosity in him.
“What kind of surprise?” He arched his eyebrow. You let out a laugh full of tenderness.
“If I tell you, it won’t be a surprise anymore,” you chuckled.
Sukuna blushed slightly in embarrassment when he realized how silly his question had been. He avoided your gaze completely so that you wouldn’t notice.
“I just need a sheet of paper and a pencil, please,” you asked him politely, smiling from side to side.
Sukuna looked you up and down, evaluating you with that relentless gaze that seemed to cut through any hidden intentions. To his bewilderment, in your eyes he found only an imperturbable innocence, devoid of ulterior motives. Resigned, he walked over to the top drawer and, without further ado, entered the passcode you already knew, unlocking it with a light click. He pulled out a single blank sheet of paper and a black pencil, and handed them to you silently.
“Thank you, my king,” you said goodbye before leaving the office.
You closed the door behind you and smiled at the sight of the materials in your hands. He had taken the fact that you needed only one sheet of paper literally, but it didn’t matter, that alone assured you that the first step would go perfectly. “Twat,” you mocked silently, before hurrying to the library. Thus began phase one of your war plan. Sukuna would never see it coming.
Meanwhile, hot water enveloped Sukuna’s body, scented candles filled the surrounding air, and a damp towel covered his tired eyes. He took a deep breath, letting himself be carried away by the tranquility of the bubble bath. Without realizing it, he had fallen asleep under the soft sound of the fountain in the bathtub. It was not intentional; his eyelids simply closed little by little, and suddenly, the weight of royalty, the pressure of the coronation and the desire for everything to be perfect seemed to abandon him for a moment. The last few months were piling up on him: the planning of the war, the conquest, the imminent coronation... and you. Especially you, who with your innocent look and your strawberry-flavored words had taken him out of his comfort zone, challenging him in a way he was no longer willing to ignore.
He opened his eyes heavily as he felt the cold water that was once warm. He remembered that day when he took a bath with you that he once considered ordinary. His mind conjured up your image. Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment, your soapy hair, your bare skin shining against the water, your arms wrapped around your chest in case he tried to do something lustful. You slowly approached him, positioning yourself between his thighs. You brought your wet fingers to your parted lips to kiss them softly. Sukuna gulped at the sight, his heart in his throat at what was about to happen.
“May I have a kiss, oh my great king?” You asked innocently as you tried to join your fingers to his lips in an indirect kiss.
Sukuna kicked the water out of anger as he returned to harsh reality. From the reflection of the mirror in front of him, he saw his cheeks flushed as he remembered you in such a lustful way when it hadn't happened like that. He only showered you because it seemed annoying to see you dirty, that was all. He threw in the towel so he wouldn't see himself in that hole of love he had sunk into before realizing it. He shook his wet hair like a dog before getting out of the tub. He hung the towel around his waist and reluctantly dried his hair with a smaller one.
He laid down on the bed to watch the starry night that peeked out from the balcony. He was tired of how every time he tried to emotionally detach himself from you, nothing worked. And it was all your fault. Even though he ignored you, was cold to you or left you aside, you still treated him with the same tenderness as always, even more than before. Why couldn't you act like a scared little mouse, like when you were his servant? Had he lost his touch?
Sukuna pulled one of his pillows to lie down comfortably, not taking his eyes off the firmament that accompanied him in his concern. Suddenly, a crunchy sound caught his attention. His eyes widened slightly at the sight of the stowaway in his bed. It was a heart-shaped letter. He immediately took it and sat up to inspect it. It was a square sheet folded in four that was cut at the corners so that it was shaped like a heart that when opened would form a flower. It had a cute frame made of small hand-drawn flowers. It had no name, but it was obvious who it was from. His fingers caressed the paper, wondering if he should open it. He shook his head to think clearly, it was stupid that he was so nervous about opening a stupid letter. He gathered his courage and unfolded it:
Dear King Sukuna:
I hope this letter finds you well. I know I should be brave and tell you this to your face, but I don't have the guts to do so. My heart overflows with excitement and nervousness every time I see you pass by, it is so full of you that I can hardly call it mine. It beats like crazy until I beg it to stop before it kills me with love. It may seem strange to you, but you have grown flowers in my deserted heart. Sometimes I cry out to the moon what I feel for you, and she tells me about the sun in understanding. This feeling confuses and torments me, but I am willing to lose myself for you. I hope you understand my feelings, although I don't expect you to reciprocate, I just wanted to make sure you knew.
With all my love, you already know.
The towel fell from shock, as did his cold demeanor. He read the letter over and over again until he memorized it. His entire face and neck turned a deeper shade of crimson every time his matching eyes reread the letter with great attention. His feet swung in the air like a teenager in love. He had forgotten for a second that he was a cruel tyrant who was capable of killing a nation to transform into a man in love with a sweet princess, something out of a fairy tale. Never in his life did he think he would receive a love letter. A physical proof that someone wanted to be by his side for the rest of their lives. Someone loved Sukuna. That simple sentence sounded like something surreal. Sukuna rolled around in bed as he squealed with excitement, knowing that you felt exactly the same as he felt for you. He laid back down on the bed with a big smile plastered on his face.
“I love you too, Y/n,” he whispered, hugging the letter to his chest.

I’m sorry in advance for any misunderstandings, english is not my native language💕
Your Silco by far is the most humanly alive I’ve seen out of all other interpretations. He’s sweetly tragic and oh so complex. I just love how troubled he is.
Writer to fellow writer — the way you write is delicious. Taking in account all your works and explorations of characters, it’s all just ✨𝒸𝒽𝑒𝒻’𝓈 𝓀𝒾𝓈𝓈✨
My personal applause to you(taking off the imaginary hat)
While I hold the opinion, that his endgame might be someone just like him in most terms, their flirting being something between a chess game and honey-laced threat, i’m intrigued how you imagine him falling in love? Would him falling in love(or in obsession with such person) differ from courtship of his “fancies” and “assets”?
When he understands that he’s sinking to the bottom of his own play? Will he notice it at all? Will he get terrified and try to trick himself into believing that its’ the person ill intention? And in what circumstances he might surrender to that feeling belly-up(or meet it with bared teeth and a fight, from the other perspective)?
Thank you so much<3
I'm trying my best to write these characters with every tiny scrap of humanity I can find in them. So I'm truly glad that comes across in Silco's portrayal c:
Silco and love is such a fascinating subject, and one I hope to explore as FnF goes on. Canon already abundantly establishes that he has the capacity for it, but also that he tends to elude the gravity of the bond until he finds himself in the position where he needs to confront his feelings head-on. It's also plain that love, far from redeeming him, has the power to utterly destroy him.
I will say that, for Silco in FnF, familial/parental love always takes precedence over romantic love. He's one of those people who tends to pour themselves into the sanctity of a cause, and while that cause starts off as Zaun, by the end, it's Jinx. She is the culmination of everything he's fought for, and for her to succeed as the future he's always envisioned, he will gladly walk into that good night with a smile on his lips and a heart unburdened by regret.
Similarly, his feelings for a true romantic partner - one he doesn't simply view through the omnipresent lens of acquisition, control and conquest - are on par with that. A sort of unconditional surrender -but also one that can be terrifying, and leave him in the empty cradle of a river of blood. There's a deeply erotic and self-destructive root to the nature of how Silco loves. It's part of why his relationship with Vander was so intense, as for him, the true sexual release was in the idea of his own destruction, not as an act of martyrdom but resurrection.
For him, love is a revolution: one that burns all bridges, and yet leaves the way clear for the dawning of a new and brighter day.
So in a nutshell: Silco loves the ones he can't live without. And, more often than not, it kills him in the process.
In FnF, when the time does come for him to fall in love, it will be the same way he's thrown himself into Zaun's rebirth: utterly, irrevocably, and without a trace of doubt.
But he's not going to be aware of it until the lightning-bolt strikes, at least not consciously. I will also say that he's going to fall in love with a lot of different people during his journey in FnF, some more profound than others, but each will teach him how to be more human, even if it's simply the lesson of learning how to be hurt.
Part of his evolution in FnF is him learning how to transcend that one-and-done version of love he had with Vander, which delimited his ability to feel any other kind, and ultimately crippled his capacity to form more lasting relationships post-drowning, due to trauma and a survival mindset.
Another part of his evolution - beyond confronting love as a force of nature "with bared teeth" as you wonderfully put it - is coming down to the level of the mundane, and finding god in the simplicity of a shared life: someone who pours him his morning coffee, a stray eyelash plucked away by a finger, a hand resting on his shoulder during a lull in a firefight.
All of those are little pieces of love that come together to create the mosaic. Silco's spent a lifetime prepared to rush into the fire, rather than content to watch the sunrise from the shore. And the crux of his endgame in FnF is learning how to reestablish that balance.
tl;dr: for Silco to fall in love, he needs to remember how to live again <3

Little intricates to treasure
Yanqing & Reader w/ Jing Yuan (platonic)
this is my headcanon but I want yanqing n reader being childhood friends and they are inseparable yk?? super adorable and maybe a vv mischievous pair
this is all platonic/young love as yanqing is not of age n please do not be+think sexual stuff when reading this. this is part of my incorrect prompts post!( you can find it on my pinned post++) I just had a rlly cute idea so Im continuing it yee!!
soooo let's start shall we~~
yanqing and you are an inseperable pair, the locals of the Xianzhou alliance are so used to both of your little tricks and mischievous acts that they just sigh and awe at the cute sight.
I mean who can dare yell at the general's most treasured liutenant? but no one can admit aloud that they think you two are really cute. the way both of you are whispering (but they can still hear you) about your little plan and the way you execute it is super obvious but they still play along with your little acts
yanqing would bring you to places while holding hands, he'd be super excited and run around when he buys new swords! you both would sit down and he would ramble til sunset about how the sword is designed and the handiwork he likes. and his eyes lit up whenever you agree with him too
it's funny n weird to imagine that yanqing will be as tall and bulky when he grows up, just like the general. if young boys could preserve their youth and cuteness longer...
speaking of the general, when you first met Jing yuan you were super scared, especially because this lion of a man was standing so tall in front of you—but you're now getting used to him being crazy over cats to worry about him killing you or crushing you in one step.. why were you scared abt that btw??
so one day yanqing wakes up with an idea.. he runss to you and starts talking about his plan. the general would be out today to sort some things and yanqing wanted to mess with his chess pieces!
he so wanted to get revenge to the general every time they play chess, because the general keeps eating his chess pieces without him noticing!
so his plan was to paint some of the generals chess pieces to black, because the general uses the white chess and yanqing just thought to paint them. as if the general won't notice how hes missing one chess piece when they start playing
you were skeptical because of the aforementioned possibilities... plus a normal chess would have 32 pieces with 16 per side, an advanced player like Jing yuan could tell from the start.
but the lil puppy eyes yanqing gives you— and then somehow you are seated in the private garden of the general (how is this sneaky?!) with a chess set and black ink in front of you.
I'm pretty sure the punishment this time won't just be the allowance cut in half...
anyhow you both start, but the ink had to be wet— yanqing just bought dry ink somewhere. so, with the strength of two teens you brought a bucket or two to start.
at this point you both are not painting chess pieces, you're writing a whole letter of apology and discipline
you just hope yanqing knows how to hold a brush.
turns out, he does not. it becomes a dark mess within minutes, and your hands and clothes are all dark with ink, and yanqing isn't all better as well
now its a real mess.
sucks for you but, Jing yuan arrives

I need to sleep now aaaaa

Well I’m finally done. I’ve been working on this for a while lol. It’s a bit chaotic, I just kept doodling 😁
Template by @oakwolves
Some Yappin,
Millie is shy when it comes to PDA. She’s okay with hugging and hand holding but anymore than that she gets embarrassed. And Sebastian is shameless when it comes to PDA. He’s constantly kissing her cheeks, hugging her tightly, ect.
Sebastian trusts Millie without question, but that doesn’t mean he loves when other guys give her attention. She has a few guy friends in their year, which Sebastian is fine with. But when guys outside of their friend group gives Millie attention, Sebastian hates it. Millie on the other hand trusts Sebastian as well, but she knows how charming and intelligent he is. It’s obvious girls fancy him, which bothers her to an extent, but the way be dotes on her leaves no room for question.
They’re both clingy. Extremely. Sebastian is just rated clingier because he’s not afraid to be clingy in public.
In their free time they love to practice spells, mainly advanced spells from the restricted section. They like to potion experiment, or more so Millie does and Sebastian just goes along with whatever. They love to adventure and explore of course. When they were younger they liked to play pranks together, but sort of stopped 5th year and on (but now they like to play little tricks on each other out of affection). And some more chill things they like to do, they love to nap and cuddle (even before they began dating they would nap together), Sebastian likes to play wizard chess while Millie likes Exploding Snap, they both like to read (Sebastian likes a bit more advanced books), and they love eating good food together.
Nobody was really surprised when they came out dating. Most people outside of their friend group had assumed they’d been dating since 5th year.
They don’t really have couple nicknames. Sebastian calls Millie “Love” but she just still calls him “Seb”.
Their biggest green flags are; Their honesty, they’ve never lied to each other. Their trust in each other. Their loyalty to each other. They can be themselves with each other. They communicate and work through issues.
Red flags; Their loyalty can be blinding. Co-dependency (a lot of it stems from shared trauma). When they’re really pissed at each other (very rare and usually over stupid things) they are very petty.
Final note, I chose “Your Song” by Elton John because it’s a simple love song. Millie and Sebastian aren’t extra romantic or lovey dovey. But their love is strong and true. Just like in the song “I hope you don’t mind that I put into words how wonderful life is, while you’re in the world.” They don’t need much as long as they have each other they’re happy.
#it’s not nearly as good as most of the ones I see but I kinda like how it turned out#I just love these two#hogwarts legacy#millie grey#sebastian sallow#hogwarts legacy mc#hogwarts oc#hogwarts#mc x sebastian sallow#sebastian x mc#hogwarts legacy fanart

Can I ask, what is the best way to provide events/campaigns that don't come across as "main character officer core" style? I don't really insert my character into the event narrative aside from being the one to direct people IC so the plot moves forward, but I also don't put a whole lot of effort into putting major spotlights on individual members. At most, I'll do things like give players opportunities to have unique conversations with NPCs, or instruct 1-2 people to man ballistae while everyone else is doing normal combat, or let people roll for killing blow, etc. I've always been of the mindset that it's my responsibility as DM to provide the setting/overarching narrative, and it's each player's responsibility to figure out how they fit into that setting/narrative. But I worry this leads to players feeling like they are just chess pieces on a board. I'm not really sure how to fix that. Advise/tips & tricks from experienced DMs would be appreciated! Keeping in mind that this is usually for event sizes of around 20 people. Thank you in advance!

the thing is: (a long wall of text)
nanjo and kumasawa have got to be involved in it since their relatives received money from beatrice, as i understand as maybe some sort of payment or compensation, money that was sent before october 4th, which means their involvement was planned in advance. though if they received money from beatrice, it means probably aren't beatrice. and the thing is!! they keep dying and they keep dying AT THE SAME time. which can mean a couple of different things, i guess (either that those deaths were planned as part of their involvement, that they were tricked, that they were fake deaths, maybe, or that something went wrong) i never thought kumasawa was out there killing people and i still don't, but i do think she must be involved in other ways. applying the same logic as the genji/ronove vessel situation, considering virgilia, the one who leads the way to beatrice, who was once beatrice herself, did appear out of kumasawa that one time in the garden... i'm not associating kumasawa with the beatrice identity, but... the one who leads the way to beatrice...? i have half an idea in my mind but it's still too uncooked.
and another thing is!! ange also received money from beatrice, which, applying the same logic from before, would probably mean either rudolf or kyrie were also involved. but 1. that doesn't make as much sense if you consider that ange only missed the conference cause she happened to be sick at the time (as far as i'm aware, at least) and 2. that's waaaay too many people being involved, if i'm not careful this is gonna turn into a murder on the orient express sort of situation. when you take it that there's also a small group who seems to be lying about kinzo... too many people involved. which leads me to believe that there's more than one crime happening on the island, in the sense that you can't instantly assume that the people who seem to be lying about kinzo (not all of them, at least) are also involved in planning the murders.
on the whole, it's like there's two different branches to this story but i can't yet figure out the link that joins them in 1986 (most likely because i would need to read past episode 4 for that): 1. a massacre and maybe other shenanigans carried out by one or more of 17 people who were on rokkenjima and 2. beato. that's it, she's the whole branch. i take it she's her own person, which means she's not one of the 17, which means she couldn't have been on the island in october 4th 1986, which means that she can't be the one carrying out the murders. but what if the whole point is she's the one who planned it...? which would make her beatrice, which is exactly what she already is. what if i already have the answer but instead of seeing it for what it is i'm making a bunch of mental gymnastics around it? there's also that number, those 8 digits. technically speaking, i know where they were supposed to have come from, which doesn't mean i understand what it means. in any case, it does prove that there is a link that joins the two branches. on a last note, a chess game has 16 pieces. umineko chess suspiciously has 17. who's the fake piece 🤨
#i need to lay out everything that bugs me from time to time cause i feel like it's easier to find answers if i know what the issues are#umineko spoilers#umineko liveblog

darcy olsson headcanons because they’re cute and i miss them.
they were that kid who would tie their loose teeth to doorknobs and slam the door. one time they did it in the elementary school bathroom and got in big trouble because they screamed.
they’re like. scary good at chess. something about the strategies needed to play it just sits right with them. they like to plan in advance.
they always fall asleep when them and tara are hanging out. they have so much energy around groups of people but the second the two are alone they bury themselves in tara’s arms and passes out.
they work like twelve million summer jobs. they love to have money saved up for fun little things and the chaos keeps them from getting too bored.
they are big into 70’s rock… emphasis on bowie. they also somehow knows the words to every 80’s ballad they hear.
on a musical note, they are totally a headphones person. tara and elle surprise decorated their headphones with little stickers once. they cried when they saw.
when they were younger they taught themselves how to backflip so they could be the coolest kid at the pool. they still know how and sometimes whips it out as a party trick.
they’re totally one to guide tara and their closer friends around by holding their shoulders. or when they’re moving past them, they’ll adjust them with a gentle palm to their back so they aren’t startled.
specially made for @jjjjsjds thank you for your sweet request, i hope you enjoyed these! reminder to anyone who enjoyed that i love making headcanons, moodboards and the like regarding my favorite stuff, so don’t hesitate to request if you feel so inclined <3

Hello again! Do you have any modern day Flying Squad (MOTP) headcannons? No pressure!
It seems that my Mysteries of The Past skills are being tested! Modern-day headcanons for the Flying Squad… Hmm…🤔 Good question! Here’s what I have for if the Flying Squad existed in the present timeline!
Argo
He still uses his crutches but is also an ambulatory wheelchair user. Like his crutches, Jason customized his boyfriend’s wheelchair to fit his style. He also made Argo interchangeable wheel covers to match his outfits, holidays, and other occasions
He loves doing underwater photography. He takes some of the most beautiful pictures of life under the sea
Would dress very androgynously. To Argo, clothing does not have a gender. If he likes how they look on him and they make him comfortable, he’ll wear them
Would have a secret YouTube account where he does covers of songs. He never shows his face on camera, but those close to him know about the account and are subscribed to it
Maddie
She was a party girl in high school to rebel against her mother. She toned down after joining the police academy, but she still loves a good party from time to time
Her mother STILL tries to set her up with men. She even once went as far as making Maddie accounts on multiple dating apps until Maddie learned of her meddling and made her delete them
Since travelling is more accessible, unlike in her original timeline, Maddie can visit her extended family in Ireland and, therefore, also has a basic understanding of Gaelic
She is still a major car person and knows a lot about mechanics. She’s also competed in racing events and is a fan of Lily Karam
Isaac
He is a chess champion and competed in The World Chess Championship. He didn’t win, but he placed high on the scoreboard
He returns to New Orleans every year to celebrate Mardi Gras with his family and visit his brother’s grave
He collects and carves pipes. Even though he quit smoking in this timeline, he’s always admired the elegance of a smoking pipe and enjoys carving it. He sells them at craft fairs after he’s accumulated enough
He tried Equine Therapy to get over his phobia of horses. It wasn’t completely successful, but he can at least be near relaxed horses without having a panic attack
Arthur
He used to be a professional classical violinist before becoming a police officer. Is a member of the local orchestra alongside Dick
He is friends with other Police Chiefs like Samual King, Andrea Marquez and Diane Parker
He is still considered “a sophisticated gentleman” by his friends and coworkers. (Some call him a boring old-fashioned snob.) But despite his gentlemanly persona, Arthur isn’t narrow-minded. He is an avid supporter of human rights and people being themselves, even if he might not understand some identities
He is a tea expert. He has an extensive collection and can find the perfect blend for even the biggest anti-tea drinkers
Dick
With the advances in science compared to the late 19th century, his self-experimenting would be even crazier. If he and Lars Douglas were to meet, chaos (and explosions) would be sure to follow!
He still goes by the nickname “Dick” because he feels it represents him better than others like Rick. Also, it annoys Arthur, and that’s always a positive
He volunteers at the local children’s hospital. When it comes to entertaining children to help them temporarily forget their pain, Dick knows the best jokes, pranks and magic tricks!
He’s written several papers on his experiments and a few books. He also writes a popular murder mystery series that is praised for its accuracy thanks to his work as a coroner and consulting Viola and Rose
Viola
She would still be an actress in plays but had minor roles in movies and TV shows when she was younger. Also dabbled in voice acting
She owns some luxury items like jewelry and purses but also loves thrift hunting for hidden gems. She customizes some of her finds to fit her style better, but most she keeps in their original condition and simply mixes and matches/accessories to make new outfits
Instead of finding out by accident, Viola’s parents told her the truth about her biological father when they thought she was old enough to understand why they lied to her. Viola was hurt and confused by the confession, but she learned to forgive them for the secrecy and didn’t seek out her biological father, unlike in the original timeline
She is working on developing her own line of makeup and perfumes. Her teammates give her feedback on the products, and some model the makeup for her to see how they look on different skin tones
Rose
Her prosthetic arm would be more advanced and have secret features. But it would maintain its robotic look since Rose thinks it looks cooler than a more realistic one
She still has a rat named Ratsputin. She’s always been a fan of “weird” pets and is more drawn to them compared to “traditional” pets since most people shun them
She’s a gambler and loves visiting Paradise City to gamble at the casinos. She’s met and gambled against Frank and Karen Knight on countless occasions, and the three became gambling buddies
She’s met other weapons experts like Jonah Karam, Rita Estevez, and Jacob Arrow due to her underground work (therefore, she knows the supernatural exists but keeps it a secret)
Evie
In high school and college, she worked a summer job at the library
She and Nicolas loved dressing up in twin-themed costumes for Halloween
Diego gave Evie her first Lesbian pride flag and took her to her first pride parade. She was too scared and shy to go before, but Diego managed to convince her to give it a try. Evie had a blast and couldn't wait for the next one!
Like Dick, Evie writes books of various genres (romance, mystery, fantasy, etc.), but unlike him, she does so under a pseudonym. She also writes fanfiction online
Charlie
Would be an engineer but invent new/strange things on the side
He’s always up to date on the latest technology. He might not be classified as a tech expert, but he still knows his way around a computer!
While he loves modern technology, he also collects vintage and retro tech. His favourites are video game consoles and music players
Not sure what his connection to Armand and Alessia would be… Maybe a cousin? Or possibly Alessia’s brother?
Diego
Runs an anonymous art blog on Tumblr and also has accounts on other sites like Instagram and Patreon
Would still be a thief but wouldn't steal art for his own collection since he wants art history to be preserved
Attends annual pride parades and festivals. He drags the Squad along to them and makes sure everyone dresses the part
Similar to Argo, clothing does not have a gender to Diego. He’ll wear what makes him comfortable, confident, and good-looking, even if it's not considered “masculine”
I think that’s all I have for now for modern-day headcanons for the Flying Squad! This was fun to do since I got to bring the Squad into the same timeline as the other teams! I always wonder what it would have been like if we met the Flying Squad at some point during Travel in Time and got to interact with them instead of just “reading” about their adventures in Mysteries of The Past…
Thank you for the ask!

At KingCompiler, we show you how to identify forks and use them to control your game.

2. Pin: Solidifying your opponent’s pieces
A pin occurs when a piece is attacked and cannot move without finding a more valuable piece behind it.
Pins for:
Absolute pin: A pinned piece cannot legally pass.
Relative Pin: A pinned block can go, but at a cost.
KingCompiler’s expert trainers help players master pins and use them to block opponents.
3. Cutthroat: Forced loss of value
The knife is the opposite side of the pin, where the more valuable piece is attacked, and once it moves, the cheaper pieces are caught behind it
Key Note: Use long-range pieces like the queen, rook and bishop to kill the skewer.
At KingCompiler, we train players to skewer real games and use them.
4. Invented Attack: Unleashing a hidden power
A detected attack occurs when moving one block exposes an attack by another block. When a revealed attack is a check, it is a made check, one of the deadliest strategies in chess.
Why It Has Power:
It poses two threats.
It often brings important material benefits.
KingCompiler teaches students how to identify opportunities for discovered attacks and exploit them effectively.
5. Back-Rank Checkmate: Use a weak king
A back row checkmate occurs when your opponent’s king is trapped behind his pawns, with no escape frame within reach.
How to avoid:
Always give your king an escape route.
At KingCompiler, we focus on learning to kill and prevent external checkmates, so you stay ahead of your opponents.
6. Double Check: The ultimate tactical weapon
Double testing occurs when two sides investigate the king at the same time. The only way is to make a king move, which is a powerful way to force your opponent into a disadvantage.
The Cause of Death:
It is impossible to prevent both temptations.
often with decisive advantages.
KingCompiler helps players master this advanced technique through guided exercises and practice games.

When to use:
To establish a decisive method (e.g., fork or skewer).

Bedtime Story
“Alright runts, c’mere…”
Leona flopped back into the stuffed chair of his study, waiting as his gaggle of kiddos clambered up into his lap. Bed time stories were usually Ruggie’s area of expertise, but with his team advancing in the national Spelldrive Cup and Ara working late at the castle, tonight the heavy responsibility fell upon him.
“Oi, sit still…what are you jumpin’ around for?” Leona grumbled, Gigi giggling as he wiggled a knuckle into her ribs to settle her into his arm. At his other side Falla was waiting patiently, the perfectly well behaved first born that had tricked them into thinking parenting would be a piece of cake. Meanwhile, the babies, Kana and Ton, were working on hauling themselves into Leona’s lap. Kana whined as Falla tried to help, but soon all four were cuddled up and ready.
“Now, don’t expect any funny voices like your Papa does, alright?” Leona warned, eying the book that Gigi had picked out, “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie?… you sure you guys don’t want to play chess instead?”
“Noo!” Gigi squealed, as Kana and Ton parroted little ‘no no!’ chirps after her.
“Yeah, four against one ain’t fair anyway, you’d probably kick my butt,” he relented, scratching his jaw over Falla’s head as he flipped the book open, “Alright…”
He did his best, he really did, but the book was nonsense.
“…what kind of garbage are they writing for kids these days…” he grumbled, “Tryin’ to teach you all how to be pushovers, is that it?”
“Nuh uh!” Gigi agreed, shaking her golden curls as Falla studied the pages solemnly. Leona turned the page.
“Gods, he wants to draw now? What kind bullshit…”
“Bullshit?”
“Sheet?”
“Boo shit?”
“…boo shit…”
“Oh fu…uhhh, nope that’s a daddy word,” Leona tried to backpedal quickly, but he could already see the twins’ impish expressions that only meant trouble, “Ughhh…okay, listen, just not in front of your mother alright?”
“Hmm?” Ara’s voice purred from over Leona’s shoulder and he about jumped out of his skin, jolting the children and setting them all off giggling again.
“Hello my little ones. Is your father teaching you terrible things again?” Ara teased as she came around the chair. She caught Gigi as she launched herself at her mother, the twins squealing and throwing themselves into her stomach while Falla took advantage of the opportunity to snuggle closer to her father.
“I was framed,” Leona huffed, closing the book with relief and tossing it over his shoulder.
“Bullshit,” whispered Falla.
“Bullsheet!” cheered Gigi.
“Boo shit,” agreed the twins.
“Bullshit indeed,” hummed Ara, feigning disappointment as Leona winced. She went to pick up the book before coming to sit herself in Leona’s lap, “As punishment for his transgressions, I think your father had better finish the story.”
“You trying to crush me alive?” he grunted, even as his free arm looped around Ara’s waist and squeezed her hip.
“Big strong lion like you can handle it,” she scoffed, juggling her armful of babies until they were all settled safe and snug in her arms, “Now, start again. From the beginning.” Leona gave a dramatic sigh but thumbed open the book obediently. Far be it from him to deny his wife…or his children, for that matter.
“If you give a mouse a cookie, he’ll probably want a glass of milk…”
#whispers i am cringe but i am free#i think leona would be a good father but that doesnt mean he cant also still be himself#blithes ocs: next gen
