your face was smushed up against toji's chest as you slept deeply. your arm slung around his waist and your legs tangled in his as you breathed him in.
he was awake though, playing with your hair as he let the sounds of your muffled sighs against his chest and the white noise of the fan slowly drift him to sleep...
until the sound of the door creaking made him jump slightly, quickly moving to soothe you in case he startled you.
megumi shuffled in, rubbing his eyes as he walked to the corner of the bed. "dad?"
toji sighed as he layed his head over to look at him, you usually handled this kind of stuff since he felt awkward. "what is it kid?"
"i'm scared." megumi admitted, his voice sounding choked like he'd already been crying.
"y' all right. we're right here 'gumi, so there's nothing to worry about." toji comforted, having his full attention on megumi. he reached his hand out to hold his shoulder and shook it.
"nothing will happen to you or your mom as long as im here. got it?"
megumi sniffled and shook his head in a nod. "'kay.. but can you come tuck me in?" he asked, grabbing toji's arm in a pulling motion.
"no way kid. your mom is sleeping right on top of me, and 'm not moving 'til she wakes."
"dadd." he whined, tugging his arm with all his might to try and get him to move. "you have to, it's what mom does!"
he knew it well, how you'd immediately get out of bed any night he came to lay in his and soothe him to sleep, most nights he'd wake up alone and find you holding megumi as you slept in his bed.
"well i'm not your mother. you're a big kid already, you can do it yourself."
"but i want you to do ittt." he started to shake his arm, which was jostling you in return.
"hey stop it kid, ya wanna wake your mom up?"
"nooo. hurry up!" he said, finally letting go and stomping his feet.
"i'm not moving kid, so tough luck."
megumi pouted and decided to..
flip him over. as he started shoving toji over with all his might, you obviously fell under him first. with toji's weight completely on you, you woke up disoriented and confused.
megumi, now with a bunch of room for himself, jumped in and held your arm to his chest, smiling victoriously.
"what-- what's going on?"
"this brat is so stubborn, he's just like you. go back to sleep."
"huh..?" you were being lifted up by toji and so was megumi. he settled you in the middle with him and megumi at your sides.
"good night. don't say i don't love you brat."
you fell asleep confused but comfortable, and megumi only stuck his tongue out at toji before going back to sleep with you.
toji was now playing with your hair while watching over the two of you, the sight of your chests rising and falling with every breath you took comforting him.
he hung his arm around you, holding your hand. laying his head on yours, he placed a hand on megumi's hair, ruffling it slightly.
his heart felt warm as he fell asleep, dreaming of you. oh and his son was there too.
he woke up to the sounds of rustling as megumi woke up, early as possible. he started to tap on your shoulder until toji moved his hand away from you groggily.
"what?"
"i'm hungry."
"for crying out loud kid, no!"
...
he got up to make pancakes for you three, extra whipped cream for megumi as he handed them out.
megumi was sat in your lap happily munching away as you paired yours with a cup of coffee, still half asleep.
toji ruffled megumi's hair, making him let out a small "hey!" as he moved over to kiss you, making megumi scrunch up his face.
toji moved to sit beside you at the counter, his hand supporting his head as he looked over at you two.
"you're a headache y'know that?"
"don't be mean to mom." megumi said, his mouth full.
"i wasn't talking about her, kid!

Living with the Winchesters had been a strange yet oddly comforting experience. A few years ago, you were just a scared kid, barely surviving on your own after your mom passed away. The world was a cruel place, and you had learned that the hard way. But that night—when those men had cornered you, when you thought it was all over—Dean appeared out of nowhere like a guardian angel, though with a lot more anger and fire in his eyes.
You still remembered the way he looked after it was all over, standing over the bodies of those men, his breath heavy, his knuckles bruised. Dean Winchester was no stranger to killing, but that night had been different. These weren’t monsters. They were people. And yet, he had done what he had to do, without hesitation, to save you.
When he brought you to the bunker, you were too shocked to argue much. The bunker was unlike any place you’d ever known—safe, hidden from the world, and full of secrets you could never have imagined. Dean had said it was just until you got back on your feet, just until he was sure you were okay. But somehow, days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and now, years had passed.
You never talked about that night, not in detail. Sam had tried a couple of times, but you always shut him down. Dean never brought it up either. Maybe it was because you all knew there was nothing left to say. Or maybe it was because none of you wanted to face what it meant—that Dean had killed for you, that he had saved you in a way you couldn’t quite repay.
But despite the horrors you had faced before meeting the Winchesters, the bunker had become a home. It wasn’t like the life you had before, where survival meant scrapping by on whatever you could find, sleeping with one eye open. Here, you had a family. Dean and Sam—despite all their mess and chaos—had become the brothers you never had. They taught you everything you needed to know to protect yourself from the supernatural, but more than that, they showed you what it meant to have someone’s back, to care about someone even when the world was falling apart.
Now, your 18th birthday was coming up, and you couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions. Part of you felt like you should leave, like you should go out and start your own life. But another part of you—the part that had grown accustomed to the safety of the bunker, the warmth of the Winchesters—didn’t want to let go.
Even after all this time, the question still lingered in the back of your mind: why had Dean been so insistent on bringing you back to the bunker that night? It wasn’t like him to make such impulsive decisions, especially when it came to something as personal as taking in a stranger. Dean was a protector, sure, but he didn’t make a habit of dragging people into his life, especially not into the heart of the Winchesters’ world.
But with you, something had been different. Something had driven him to take that extra step, to bring you home, and even now, none of you could quite figure out why.
Dean had always been guarded, keeping his thoughts and emotions close to his chest. But from the moment he had found you, something had shifted in him. It was subtle, almost imperceptible, but it was there. The way he watched over you, more protective than usual, always making sure you were okay, even when you didn’t want to admit that you needed it. Sam noticed it too, the way Dean would check in on you late at night when he thought no one was watching, or how he would get that distant look in his eyes whenever the topic of your past came up.
It wasn’t that he pitied you—Dean Winchester wasn’t the type to pity anyone. It was something else, something deeper. And yet, no matter how many times you tried to puzzle it out, you never came any closer to understanding what had driven him to act that night.
Dean never took you with them on a hunt, no matter how much you argued or tried to convince him that you were ready. It was frustrating, especially after all the training they’d put you through, drilling you on everything from how to banish a ghost to the proper way to handle a silver blade. The supernatural world had terrified you at first—so much so that, in the beginning, you’d freaked out so badly that Sam and Dean had to tie you down until you could calm yourself. But you’d learned, adapted, and eventually, you stopped being scared. At least, you stopped showing it.
Still, no matter how much you insisted that you were ready, Dean refused to let you join them on hunts. He was firm about it, more so than usual, and it always left you feeling like you were still that scared kid they’d found all those years ago.
Today, the frustration had reached a boiling point. You’d spent the day in the bunker, alone, while they were out doing what they did best. By the time you heard the familiar rumble of the Impala pulling into the garage, you were practically seething.
As soon as the garage door creaked open, you saw them—Dean, covered in blood, and Sam, looking equally worn out but less battered. You stood in the doorway, arms crossed, trying to keep the irritation out of your voice but failing miserably as you grumbled, “How was it?”.
Dean didn’t even look at you as he brushed past, his expression dark, a sure sign that things hadn’t gone smoothly. His usual easygoing demeanor was replaced by something sharper, more on edge, and that only made your frustration spike.
“Still a bit fucked up since I had to stay behind. Again”, you added, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
Dean froze in his tracks, his back stiffening. He slowly turned to face you, and for a moment, you saw something flash in his eyes—something between anger and fear, though you couldn’t quite pin it down. His voice was low, almost a growl, when he finally spoke. “You think I want you out there? You think I’m keeping you here just for fun?”.
Sam, sensing the tension, glanced between the two of you, clearly torn between stepping in and giving you space to work it out. But he stayed silent, letting Dean handle it.
Your irritation flared. “I’ve been here for years, Dean. I know what’s out there, and I’m not some helpless kid anymore. I can handle myself”.
Dean’s jaw clenched, and he took a step closer, his voice dropping even lower. “You don’t get it, do you? I’m not keeping you here because I don’t think you can handle yourself. I’m keeping you here because I don’t want you out there, getting hurt, or worse”.
You didn’t back down, meeting his glare head-on. “That’s not your decision to make, Dean. I’ve been through enough. I deserve to be out there, helping, not sitting around like some… liability”.
Dean’s face twisted into something almost pained, and for a second, you thought he might actually tell you what was really going on, why he was so adamant about keeping you out of the field. But then, just as quickly, the mask was back, and he shook his head, frustration radiating off him.
“Enough, Y/N”, he snapped, turning away from you again, as if the conversation was over. But you weren’t ready to let it drop.
“Yes, Dean, it’s enough!”, you shot back, stepping into his path. “You keep treating me like a kid, but I’m not. Why can’t you see that?”.
Dean’s eyes blazed as he glared at you, his face a mixture of anger something deeper, more desperate. His voice came out like a whip, sharp and cutting. “Go to your fucking room, Y/N!”.
For a moment, you were too stunned to respond. Dean had been angry before, sure, but this? This was different. The raw intensity in his voice sent a shiver down your spine, but instead of backing down, you found yourself standing your ground, defiance burning in your chest.
You raised your brows, trying to decide if you wanted to laugh at the absurdity of him ordering you around like a child, or scream at him for treating you like one. The corner of your mouth twitched upward despite the tension, and you could see the effect it had on him immediately. If Dean was pissed before, now he looked like he was barely holding himself together as he saw the hint of a smirk on your face. It was as if your defiance was the last thing holding him together, but also the thing threatening to tear him apart. His fists clenched at his sides, the knuckles still raw from whatever fight he and Sam had just returned from, and for a moment, you thought he might actually lose it.
But instead of yelling again, instead of pushing further, he just closed his eyes for a brief second, taking a deep breath as if trying to regain control. When he opened them again, his expression had shifted—still intense, but with an undercurrent of something you couldn’t quite place. Pain? Fear? It was hard to tell.
The air in the room seemed to crackle with tension as Dean’s voice, low and dangerously calm, filled the space. “I fucking swear, Y/N, if you won’t go to your fucking room now, I’m gonna lose my shit”. The words were delivered with such a raw, barely contained fury that it made your breath hitch in your throat. You’d never seen him like this before, not even during the worst of hunts or the most heated arguments. Even Sam, who had seen Dean at his worst, looked shocked—his eyes widening in surprise and concern as he watched his brother teeter on the edge.
For a moment, you stood frozen, unsure of how to respond. Part of you wanted to push back, to keep fighting, but the other part—the part that had spent the last few years learning to read Dean, understanding the depths of his pain and the limits of his patience—knew that this wasn’t the time. The way his chest heaved, the tightness in his jaw, the wild look in his eyes… He was hanging by a thread, and if you pushed him any further, you weren’t sure what would happen.
Your smirk faded as the seriousness of the situation sank in. You weren’t just in the middle of an argument anymore; you were standing at the edge of something far more dangerous. The fight left your body all at once, replaced by a heavy, sinking feeling in your gut.
“Okay”, you said, the defiance in your voice replaced with something calmer, more measured. You held your hands up in a gesture of surrender, trying to show him that you understood, that you were backing down. “I’ll go”.
Dean didn’t say anything, just watched you with those burning eyes, his fists still clenched so tight you could see the muscles straining in his forearms. He looked like as if the smallest thing might set him off.
You walked away without another word, the sound of your footsteps echoing softly down the hallway as you left Dean and Sam alone in the heavy silence of the bunker. The tension you left behind was palpable, thick enough that it seemed to hang in the air, making it difficult to breathe.
Sam watched you go, his brow furrowed with concern, before turning his attention back to Dean. His brother was still standing in the same spot, fists clenched at his sides, his entire body taut as if he was ready to snap at any moment. Sam knew Dean well enough to recognize when he was dangerously close to the edge, and right now, he was teetering on it.
“Dean”, Sam started cautiously, his voice low and calm, trying to diffuse the tension. “You need to take a breath, man. You’re too worked up”.
Dean didn’t respond immediately. His eyes were still locked on the spot where you had just stood, his mind clearly racing with thoughts he couldn’t quite articulate. It wasn’t until Sam took a step closer, placing a gentle hand on his brother’s shoulder, that Dean seemed to snap out of whatever dark place his mind had gone.
“Dean, talk to me”, Sam urged, his voice soft but insistent. “What’s really going on?”.
Dean’s eyes finally met Sam’s, and for a moment, it looked like he might shut down entirely. But then, as if the weight of everything he was holding inside became too much to bear, his shoulders slumped, and he let out a long, shaky breath.
“I’m losing it, Sam”, Dean admitted, his voice barely above a whisper, raw and stripped of all its usual bravado. “I’m losing it with her”.
Sam tightened his grip on Dean’s shoulder, his concern deepening. “What do you mean?".
Dean shook his head, his gaze dropping to the floor. “She doesn’t get it. She doesn’t understand how dangerous this life is. I can’t… I can’t let her go out there, Sam. Not her”.
Sam sighed, understanding more clearly now what was eating away at his brother. “Dean, I get it. You’re scared. But Y/N’s not a kid anymore. She’s strong, and she’s been through a lot. You can’t keep her locked up here forever”.
But that was exactly the point, and it gnawed at Dean in a way he couldn’t fully comprehend—or maybe just didn’t want to. He didn’t want to accept the fact that you weren’t a kid anymore, that you were growing up right in front of him. Every day that brought you closer to your 18th birthday was like a ticking clock in the back of his mind, counting down to a moment he wasn’t ready to face.
No one knew how Dean really felt about you. Hell, he wasn’t even sure he understood it himself. From the moment he had saved you years ago, something had shifted inside him. He could still remember the look in your eyes that night, the way your fear had melted into a kind of cautious trust as you looked up at him, and how, in that instant, his heart had clenched in a way it hadn’t in years.
He’d buried those feelings deep, refusing to acknowledge them, convincing himself it was nothing more than a protective instinct. You were just a kid, after all, someone who needed looking after, someone who had no one else in the world. And Dean was good at protecting people—that was what he did, what he had always done. But as the years passed, that simple instinct grew into something more complicated, something that twisted inside him, especially as you grew older.
Dean knew he was teetering on the edge of something he couldn’t afford to explore. You were still so young, and he had no business feeling anything for you beyond what a protector should feel. But now, with your 18th birthday looming, the reality was hitting him harder than he ever anticipated. Soon, you’d be legally grown up, able to make your own choices, live your own life. And the thought of losing you to that, of not being able to keep you safe the way he had for the past years, was driving him crazy.
Sam’s words echoed in his mind—You can’t keep her locked up here forever. He knew Sam was right, but that didn’t make it any easier to accept. Deep down, he was terrified. Not just of the dangers you’d face out there, but of what it would mean if he had to face the truth of his own feelings. Feelings that he had buried so deep that even he couldn’t fully acknowledge them, but that were starting to claw their way to the surface.
“Dean”, Sam’s voice broke through his thoughts, grounding him. “You have to let her grow up. She’s strong enough to handle this, and you know it. What are you so afraid of?”.
Dean swallowed hard, his throat tight. He could feel the storm of emotions churning inside him, but he couldn’t let them out. Not to Sam, not to anyone. He forced himself to meet Sam’s gaze, trying to keep his voice steady, but there was an edge of desperation he couldn’t quite hide.
“I just… I can’t let anything happen to her, Sam”.
“I get that, Dean. But she’s got a right to make her own choices. You can’t keep treating her like she’s still that scared kid you found years ago”.
Dean didn’t want to think about it any longer. The more he let his mind wander down that dangerous path, the more tangled and twisted his thoughts became, until it felt like he was drowning in them. The knot in his chest tightened, and the walls of the bunker suddenly felt too close, too confining.
“I’m gonna take a shower”, he muttered, the words coming out gruff and clipped, as if speaking them was a chore. Without waiting for a response, he turned on his heel and headed for the bathroom, his footsteps heavy and deliberate as if each step required more effort than it should.
Sam watched him go, concern etched into every line of his face. He wanted to follow, to press Dean further, but he knew his brother well enough to recognize when he needed space. This was something Dean had to work through on his own, at least for now.
Dean’s mind was still racing as he reached the bathroom. He closed the door behind him with a little more force than necessary, the sound echoing in the small space. For a moment, he just stood there, staring at his reflection in the mirror. The man looking back at him was a mess—bloodstains on his shirt, smudges of dirt and grime on his face, and eyes that looked far more exhausted than they should.
He tore his gaze away from the mirror, not wanting to face the reality of what he saw there. Instead, he focused on the mundane task of stripping off his clothes, each movement deliberate and methodical, trying to find some semblance of control in the routine.
The hot water hit his skin like a scalding wave, but he didn’t flinch. Instead, he welcomed the burning sensation, hoping it might somehow wash away the thoughts that were eating him alive. But no matter how hard he tried to focus on the physical sensation of the water, his mind kept drifting back to you—how you had looked at him with defiance and hurt in your eyes, how you had walked away without another word.
Dean leaned his head against the cool tiles of the shower, letting the water cascade over him, trying to drown out the thoughts that wouldn’t leave him alone.
He rubbed his face hard. The tension in his body only seemed to tighten with every second. Frustration bubbled up inside him as he blindly reached for the nearest bottle of shower gel, squeezing a generous amount into his hand. But the moment the sweet scent of vanilla hit his nose, his body reacted instantly, and not in the way he intended.
His breath hitched, and he cursed under his breath as blood rushed down to his crotch, his body betraying him in a way that made his skin crawl with shame. It was your scent—soft, warm, and undeniably you. The same scent that clung to the spaces you frequented in the bunker, that lingered faintly in the air whenever you passed by. He’d never let himself acknowledge how much that scent affected him before, how it seemed to wrap around his senses and pull him into thoughts he had no business having.
Dean’s hand tightened around the bottle, his knuckles turning white as he struggled to control the unwanted arousal that surged through him. He didn’t want this—didn’t want to feel this way, didn’t want to be the kind of man who thought about someone he was supposed to protect like this. But the scent was inescapable now, filling his lungs, invading his mind, and dragging him down a path he had tried so hard to avoid.
“Damn it!", he muttered, slamming the bottle back down on the ledge with more force than necessary, the sound echoing in the steamy space. His free hand pressed against the tile wall. He closed his eyes, trying to force himself to think of anything else—anything but the way your scent clung to him now, making him think of how close you were, just a few rooms away.
But his mind wasn’t cooperating. Images of you kept flashing in his mind—your smile, the way your eyes lit up when you were teasing him or Sam, the way your body moved with a confidence that had grown over the past years. He could see the way you looked at him, the mix of frustration and something else in your eyes, something that made his heart stutter in his chest. And no matter how much he tried to push it away, those thoughts wouldn’t leave him alone.
Dean squeezed his eyes shut tighter, the guilt and shame mixing with the undeniable need that was pulsing through him. This wasn’t right. It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You were someone he cared about, someone he was supposed to look after, not someone he was supposed to feel like this about. But the more he tried to deny it, the stronger the pull became, the harder it was to ignore the way his body responded to you.
“Get it together”, he growled to himself, trying to will his body to calm down, to stop reacting to something that should have never been an issue in the first place. But it was no use. The scent of vanilla was too strong, too intertwined with the image of you, and the more he tried to fight it, the more he felt like he was losing control.
Desperation clawed at him as he turned the shower knob, the water suddenly turning ice-cold. The shock of it hit him like a punch to the gut, but he welcomed it, hoping the frigid temperature would snap him out of whatever trance he had fallen into. The cold water rushed over his skin, causing goosebumps to rise and his muscles to tense.
His hand still pressed against the wall, Dean leaned his forehead against the cold tiles, letting the water beat down on him as he tried to focus on anything but the ache that was building in his body. He needed to get control, needed to shove these feelings back into the box he had locked them. But it was harder than he had expected—so much harder than it should have been.
Minutes passed, the cold water numbing his skin. Eventually, his breathing slowed, and the intensity of the arousal began to fade, leaving behind a cold, hollow feeling that settled in his chest. He felt like he’d crossed a line, even if only in his mind, and the shame of it was almost unbearable.
Finally, when Dean couldn’t stand the cold water anymore, he shut it off and leaned back against the shower wall, his breath coming in slow, steadying gasps. The biting chill had done its job, numbing his skin and, to some extent, dulling the raw edge of his thoughts, though the shame lingered like a bad taste in his mouth.
For a moment, he just stood there, eyes closed, trying to push everything out of his mind. He knew he needed to get a grip on himself, to regain some semblance of control before he faced you or Sam again. The last thing he wanted was to let them see just how close to the edge he was, how badly he was fighting to keep everything in check.
With a deep breath, Dean grabbed his own bottle of shower gel and squeezed a small amount into his hand, the familiar scent of cedar and spice grounding him. He lathered it up quickly, scrubbing his skin with a kind of urgency, as if he could wash away not just the grime from the hunt, but the thoughts that had crept into his mind uninvited. He repeated the process with his shampoo, letting the suds rinse away the last remnants of the day, trying to focus on the simple, repetitive motions.
Dean finished rinsing off and turned the water off with a sense of finality. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist, then stood in the small, steamy bathroom, staring at his reflection in the mirror once more. His face was flushed from the hot and cold water, his hair damp and tousled, but it was the look in his eyes that bothered him the most.
He looked… haunted. Like a man fighting a battle he knew he couldn’t win. And maybe that was exactly what was happening. No matter how hard he tried to deny it, to push it down, the feelings he had for you were there, lurking just beneath the surface, waiting for a moment of weakness to break free.
But he couldn’t let that happen. He wouldn’t. You deserved better than that—better than him. You were young, strong, full of potential, and you had a life ahead of you that didn’t need to be weighed down by his baggage. By his feelings.
Dean clenched his jaw, forcing those thoughts back down, locking them away in that box inside his mind where he kept everything that threatened to break him. He couldn’t afford to dwell on it, couldn’t afford to let himself slip. He had a job to do, and that was protecting you, keeping you safe.
With that final, resolute thought, Dean wrapped the towel tighter around his waist and opened the bathroom door. His mind was still racing, but he forced himself to focus on the immediate task—getting dressed, getting his head on straight, and burying these unwanted feelings deep where they couldn’t hurt anyone.

A/N: After I already started a damn long story for Jensen and Soldier Boy, here's one for Dean.

In honor of the internet being blessed by Bed-head Ace I wrote a blurb:
Ace laid in his bed scrolling through his phone aimlessly, he let out a sigh of boredom. He hadn't heard from Yuu or Deuce ever since the break started. It was nice seeing his family again but...there was a certain feeling he couldn't figure out. Why does it bother him that Yuu hasn't texted or called, it's not that he misses them or anyth-
New Message from: Yuu
Ace blinked before opening the message it seems they sent Deuce the same message as well.
'Hey Ace! Deuce! how's your break going? Anyways um Grim and I are kind of being held captive in scarabia right now...please send help like soon!"
"Oh the prefect is being held hostage in Scarabia...wait WHAT?!" Ace shot up from his bed. He thinks he read the message at least a good ten times before Deuce started spamming several concerned messages
It was then the situation sunk in
"Oh shit!" Ace yelled before stumbling out of bed. He quickly got dressed, grabbing a bag and stuffing it with clothes, his magic pen and wallet. He slipped on his shoes before hurrying out of his room
Ace sped past his mom who was currently on the couch reading a book his dad passed out on the recliner. "Ace? Where do you think you're going at this hour?!" His mother exclaimed
"Sorry mom! can't talk! my friend and their cat got kidnapped by one of the dorm heads! Gotta go!" he yelled before dashing out the front door leaving behind his dumbfounded mother.
"Damn it Yuu can't you stay out of trouble?! it's like you're a magnet for danger!" he cursed
Despite his grumbling he really hopes he gets there before anything else happens to Yuu.

Chatter is heard amongst the outdoors. The wind softly rustled the trees and grass. Your friends are in the cafeteria, confused about where you could have gone.
You're behind the school, where it’s a little dark, a little hidden, and quiet. However, you weren’t alone, a certain pink-haired boy had accompanied you. Why may you ask?
It all started with a reunion with your old childhood friend. Yuuji Itadori was your next-door neighbor. You both grew up together and were always stuck to the hip until middle school.
He had moved and even though both of you had went to the same school. You guys gradually faded away from each other's life. Busying yourself with your guy's own friendships and school.
That was until your freshman year when your mom invited him and his family for the holidays. Like anyone, it was awkward at first. Simple greetings and sheepish nods. When you got bored, you noticed he was too, so you invited him to your room.
You both were sitting on your bed. You crisscrossed as Yuuji was splayed out on his back. Finally breaking the ice, you both fell into a comfortable conversation. Reminiscing about events from your guy's childhood. Then it somehow led to your “love” life.
“I mean can we even call that a relationship?” He laughed, turning to look at you as you laughed along with him. Without much thought, he spoke his mind.
“So how was your first kiss?” He gazes up at you, his puppy eyes looking so full and curious. You smile, pulling your legs to your chest.
“I haven’t had it yet.” You giggle and he sits up.
“Hey! Me neither!” He points at himself, a laugh leaving him.
Silence fills your room but it’s in no way awkward. Until Yuuji’s words have your eyes widening.
“Would you wanna kiss me?” Your head snaps towards him and you’re flushing even more at the look he is giving you.
He wasn’t even fazed; his eyes were full of sincerity. However, your silence makes him backtrack.
“Sorry. That was probably weird huh?” He airily laughs, rubbing his neck. You blink, shoving your nervousness away, you speak up.
“Are you fine with me being your first kiss?” His eyes meet yours again, that same intense honest gaze. He nods his head with a small smile.
It honestly bothers you that he doesn’t look fazed at all. Only because you knew you were a flushing mess. Unbeknownst to you, his heart was hammering against his chest. He scoots closer to you; he’s staring at your lips and you’re staring in his eyes. You both are leaning closer and closer, your eyes slowly shutting.
That is until you hear your door open, and you both are shooting away from each other. A huge flush on both of your faces.
“There you two are! Come downstairs!” Your mom says as you both scatter out of your room.
After that failed attempt of sharing your guys first kiss, you’ve noticed him more around school. His bright smile always directed towards you with an excited wave too. That night in your room hasn’t left Yuuji’s mind since then. So that led you to where you were right now. It seems Yuuji was more nervous than that night in your room.
“Are you sure you wanna kiss me?” You look away and he perks up, nodding happily like an excited puppy.
You step closer to him and his hands lift up awkwardly, not knowing where to rest them. You quickly grasp them and he softly gasps.
As his lips were parted you rose on your tippy toes, your lips lightly touching his. Your hand softly caresses his cheek, and he gains more confidence. Resting a hand on the small of your back, pulling you closer to him.
The kiss was deepened, and you can feel Yuuji smile in the kiss. By the time you both pull away your hands are resting on his chest and his hands on your waist. Your blush mirrors his and he’s so giddy.
“I’d say that was a good first kiss. Definitely worth it.” He quips, he almost looks dazed, his eyes are lidded and soft. Lovesick was the only way you could describe it. You shove his chest playfully and he smiles brightly.
“I’m not joking!” He laughed.
But just like that, things went just to how they were before. Small waves and stolen glances. It didn't affect you as much, I mean at some point, you did feel like maybe he only used you for a kiss.
Yuuji was attractive and was that stereotypical dream boy, so it’s not like he didn’t have girls lined up.
Highschool was done in the blink of an eye and you were in college, already transferring to your four year. Life was going on fast, new relationships and new friendships, endings to old friendships, it was a lot. Now you were moving into an apartment and were excited to meet your roommate. Nobara Kugisaki was her name.
“You’re the talk of the campus.” She says as she helps you with your boxes and you give her a look.
“What does that mean?”
“Well, it’s a little odd that you transferred in the middle of the year so.”
“No one's ever heard of a gap year?”
“Right? Anyways wanna go study at the library in a bit? I know you have to go check out your new job.” You hum in reply.
Your head falls against the table with a groan.
“Nobara I don’t think I can continue.” She slumps as well.
“Me neither.” She rests her head on the table as well. Suddenly she’s sitting up, shaking the life out of you.
“What! What!” You yell and she slaps a hand over your mouth, pointing to the entrance of the library.
A group of boys walk in, and you’re struck with major nostalgia. You knew that pink fluff of hair from anywhere.
“Those are the basketball players! Major players in a different game if you know what I mean.” Nobara tuts and you roll your eyes.
Yet your eyes still follow Yuuji. She begins naming all of them and that eases your mind, it really was him.
“I know him.” You say calmly and she’s snapping her head between you and the guys.
“Huh? Which? Which one.” You nod your head towards the group.
“Yuuji. We were close when we were little.” Nobara awes.
“We were each other’s first kiss.” Nobara pauses.
“What!” She yells, turning heads from people around you guys. The librarian shushing you both. You even catch the attention from some of the guys.
“You were each other’s first kiss?!” She whisper yells.
“Yea. Who would’ve guessed he’d be a heartbreaker though, I thought he was too sweet for that.”
Nobara leans in, eyes shooting side to side. “I heard he got his heart broken. Heartbroken becomes the breakee.” She raises her brows and you laugh.
“I guess that makes sense.”
Now from the moment Yuuji walked in and heard Nobara’s screech he had his eyes glued on to you. You looked stunning, as if just laying his eyes on you made him want to take a big breath of air. That’s what you were, a breath of fresh air.
He knew it was you, of course it was, he’d never be able to forget you. He's stealing glances the whole time, so he doesn’t hear his friends plan about throwing a huge party.
“You listen'n?” His friend questions and Yuuji shakes his head.
“Ah, my bad.” He mutters, stealing another glance. Two of his other friends follow his trail of sight, turning back with a smug grin on their faces.
“Oh? You already got eyes on the new transfer?” They wiggle their brows.
“I don’t blame you, she’s fucking hot.”
One of them says and Yuuji frowns at their comment. Look, obviously they were only speaking the truth but just the thought of one of them pursuing you didn’t sit right with him. Solely because he knew they wouldn’t treat you right.
Yea, definitely.
He perks up when you get up with Nobara, your laugh striking his ears. At the same moment he smiles at the sound, you turn around, only to lock eyes with him, causing both of your eyes to widen. You send him a small smile and he feels his thoughts melt away.
“Hello?! Yuuji!”
“Y-Yea what?”
“You better be at the party dude.”
“Mhm.”
Start of a new week and you’re already at your new job. It wasn’t bad or good, you’d just say mediocre. Some days rush hour was a pain in the ass and other days you swore you saw a tumbleweed pass by.
Today was a tumbleweed kind of day. You stand there with your chin in the palm of your hand. You could wipe down the tables, mop the floors, take out the trash but you had already done that.
Right when a sigh leaves you, the bell chimes, signaling customers. You quickly stand up straight, a fake smile on your face. It almost falters when you see who had entered.
It’s Yuuji!
But with a girl stuck to his side, her hands gripping his bicep. His eyes widen at the sight of you as well.
“You know what I want right Yuu Yuu? I’m gonna grab us a table.” The girl squeaks, walking over to a booth. You almost cringe at her voice but you try not to let it get to you.
“Hi! What can I get you started with today?” You say optimistically. Yuuji is frozen and you shift on your feet.
“Let me know when you ready.” You nod your head while he shakes his.
“S-Sorry! I’m ready.” He gulps and you smile, taking his order.
“Your order will be right out.” You slightly bow and he hums, hovering for just a bit.
He returns back to the girl he came with and she's immediately talking his ear off however his mind is somewhere else, specifically on you.
Once you finished, you put their drinks on a tray and walk over to their booth. When you reach their table, you set his drink on the table however the girl reaches for hers. When you let go, you’re surprised to see it fall and spill everywhere. The girl throws her hands up, a displeased look on her face.
“What the fuck is your problem!” She yells standing up quickly. From the napkins you brought you try to help her, but she shoos you away.
“Get the fuck away from me, is it really that hard to just serve a drink?” She snaps and you bite your tongue, your eye twitching.
Within a moment she’s standing up, pushing the doors open as she left. You sigh and Yuuji is sat there, blinking. You rush to go grab rags, coming back and quickly placing them on the ground.
“Let me help.” Yuuji gets on his knees, and you’re shocked to see he’s still here. He tried to grab the rag from you, but you snatch it back.
“It’s ok, I got it. You’re not gonna go after her?” You stare up at him and he shrugs.
“Not really a point, she just wants to fuck me.” You deadpan at his words, and he covers his mouth.
“Sorry, that’s weird.” He awkwardly laughs and you stand up. He gets up and stays next to you as you wipe down the table. He admires you, your hair in a messy clip, little makeup on your features.
You hand him his drink and his fingers grace yours when takes it. You take his breath away without even trying. He’s sure you don’t know the effect you have on him and he’s glad you didn’t.
“I’ll see you around.” You mumble, walking behind the counter.
“Wait!” He yells and you turn around. “Are you coming to the party everyone’s talking about?” You blink and are confused on what party he’s even talking about.
“No?” He quickly pouts, resulting that of a kicked puppy.
“Why?” He practically whines.
“I wasn’t invited. I don’t know?” You wipe down the other tables.
“Well, I’m inviting you, come by! Bring your friends it’ll be fun!” He smiles and you can’t say no.
“I’ll see, parties aren’t my thing.” Right before he leaves, he turns around, sending you the softest and most bashful smile.
“You haven’t changed a bit.” It catches you off guard, but he’s gone in a flash, leaving you to ponder over his words.
When you reach back to your dorm Nobara already knew all about it.
“We’re going.” She shrugs and you hesitate.
“I don’t know…I might just stay here.”
“Didn’t Yuuji invite you?” She looks up from her phone and your brows rise.
“How do you know?” You say slowly.
“He told me. He’s so annoying, he’s pathetic really. Please! Please tell her to come!” She mimics and you laugh.
“That’s weird though, I haven’t talked to him in years.” You sigh, sitting on the stool at your guy's counter.
“He probably wants to catch up, if you know what I mean.” She makes obnoxiously loud kissing noises, and you roll your eyes.
“You’re so annoying, I’m going to bed.” You groan and she hollers.
“We’re going tomorrow you grandma!”
You meant it when you said parties weren’t your thing. Loud blaring music, colorful lights flashing, with a side of horny college kids grinding on each other. It's only been two weeks since you've transferred, and you didn't think coming to a party was going to be on your schedule.
Nobara is dragging you through the crowds of people while you're trying to balance your (her) heels and pull down your (her) dress. You finally reach an area with a good group of people.
"Hi, you guys this is my roomate." Nobara lightly pushes you in front of her. You glance around and nod.
"Uh, Hi." Nobara snorts and pulls you towards this green haired girl.
"Maki, can you get us shots please." Maki grins, seemingly pouring shots for everyone. After a meaningless countdown, you down your first shot. This was going to be a long night.
From across the room Yuuji has a beer in his hand. His brown eyes servicing the area, looking for someone in particular. As he takes another swig, a girl appears in front of him. He looks down at her and takes her in.
She had pretty long hair, her tits were about to spill out of her dress and her lips were glimmering.
"You're Yuuji right?" He nods, blinking at her. She pushes herself up against him and his breath hitches. Her hand is running against his bicep all the way up till the nape of his neck.
"You never answer any of my texts." She pouts, inching closer to him. Yuuji gulps because he knows where this will lead. Right before he continues, he glances up and there you are glowing.
You're wearing a white dress and heels. It makes his heart skip a beat, the way the light illuminates your face and your flushed cheeks. God he can't pull his eyes away. That's until he recognizes a guy towering over you, making his blood rush, maybe it was some of the alcohol too. He doesn't say anything to the girl that's on him, he just lightly moves her to the side.
Hakari Kinji, he was Yuuji's rival. He was from their rival school basketball team, everyone knew about them, at least one fight would break out when they played against each other. His question is why he's here and why he's talking to you.
"You're gorgeous. I'm guessing you don't got a boyfriend right? 'Heard you just transferred." He eyes you down and you gulp.
You feel cornered against this wall, he's big too. Thick muscles and at least six feet. You stumble on your words until you hear someone else speak.
"I thought I told you; you weren't welcome here."
Your eyes light up when you see Yuuji, but he looks scary. You've never seen this look on his face before, the way he stares this guy down it gave you chills.
"Yuuji! I was invited so you can go and get shitfaced drunk, you know embarrass yourself while you're at it." He grins moving to turn around, but Yuuji speaks again.
"Where's Kirara? I thought you told them you weren't gonna cheat anymore?" Hakari grabs Yuuji by the collar of his shirt, making him smirk.
"Keep Kirara out of your fucking mouth." Yuuji shoves him off of him, he quickly grabs your hand.
"Then leave her alone." He storms away until he reaches the backyard.
He huffs when you guys reach outside. It's a cold night so you quickly try to cover yourself. Yuuji looks down, his eyes perking up.
"Oh!" He frantically looks around. He spots a towel on a chair, as he sees there's a couple of people in the pool, he takes it.
"Here." He gently puts it over you. You gaze down at the towel and laugh. He blushes and laughs along with you.
"I'm really happy you came. I've been looking for you." He gazes at you, a soft smile rising to his face.
“Why? We haven’t talked in so long.” You mutter and he laughs.
“I know! But uh, you know I missed you.” You look at him, blinking in confusion and he clears his throat.
“You got quite the reputation around here.” You smirk and he grins.
“I know right, I’m the ace of our team.” He flexes his bicep.
“No, you’re a whore.” You laugh and he drops his arm.
“Oh.” He pursed his lips. You lean on him as you laugh and he smiles.
“You know it’s not really true, my friends are more of the sluts.” He plays with his hands.
“Not really true?” You quirk a brow.
“Well, you know, just some girls here and there.” He blushes.
“You get shy like a virgin.” You scoff and he sputters.
“W-What are you talking about!” He rubs his face.
“Always seeking that feeling huh.” You playfully roll your eyes.
You shiver and he catches this. He rests an arm around you, making you tense up.
“Sorry! Is this weird?” You shake your head and he nods.
“We can go back inside.” He says but you shake your head again.
“It’s too loud.” You sigh and he nods.
“So how’ve things been for you.” Then he gasps, tearing himself away from you.
“Oh my god! You don’t have a boyfriend right?” He looks mortified.
“No I don’t.” You giggle.
He lets out a relieved sigh and rests his arm around you again. You rest your head on his shoulder and Yuuji doesn’t know what’s gotten into him. He hasn’t felt this way since the last time you kissed him. Could he only feel like this when he was with you?
You hear a loud gasp from behind you guys, making you both turn around to see the culprit.
It’s a very drunk Nobara.
“No way! Get your slimy hands off her!” Nobara waddles towards you, pulling you off of him.
“Hey—What!” Yuuji pouts, reaching for you.
“Leave her alone! I won’t let you taint her.” She shoves your face in her chest, making you groan.
“Nobara, you’re drunk. Let me take you guy's back home.” She immediately lets you go.
“Can we get pizza.” She smirks and Yuuji sighs.
“Yes, we can get pizza.”
“Hooray!” She yells, linking arms with you both and exiting the party.
You all are back at your dorm, stuffed full of pizza as Nobara crashes on the couch. You finished resting the blanket over her and sigh.
“You look tired you should get some sleep.” Yuuji stares at you with his doe eyes. You laugh which makes him blink.
“You know even though you got taller and have muscles now. You still have that same puppy face.” You smile brightly and he blushes.
“Is that a good thing?” He breathily laughs.
“Yea, it is.” You whisper.
You don’t know when, but you guys are in each other's personal space, glancing in each other's eyes. You begin to lean in, but he stops you, almost letting out a whine.
“Fuck. You know I want too so bad but your drunk.” He caresses your face, his thumb gliding along your bottom lip. He licks his lips but huffs, placing a peck on your forehead.
“I’ll call you tomorrow, ok?” He goes to grab his stuff.
“With what number?” You smile.
He blinks.
“Right.” He whispers more to himself, walking back towards you and typing in his number.
“Get some sleep okay?” You nod, waving bye as he does the same. What were you two going do with each other.
A week had gone by and neither of you had mentioned what happened on the night of the party.
There was no need to right?
Nothing actually happened.
Yet many people did notice Yuuji seemed to walk around with an even brighter smile on his face.
“Dude who’s got you smiling like that.” One of his friends laugh as Yuuji taps away at his phone texting you.
“Helloooo?”
“Hm? What?” Yuuji blinks staring at his friends.
“You talking to another girl?” He asks.
“Nah she’s just a friend.” Yuuji mutters, texting you again.
“Wait a minute isn’t that the transfer?” One of his friends gazed over his shoulder.
“Hey!” He glared at him.
The guy whistles. “She’s an eye candy. Hey Yuuji let me know if she feels good, wouldn’t mind handling her.” He laughs, his other friends slapping him.
Yuuji clenches his fist. “Don’t even fucking think about it, she wouldn’t go for a guy like you.” Yuuji stands up, storming away.
“So much for just a friend.” They laugh.
Yuuji frowns as he walks away, he decides to give you a call, he knew you’d be able to calm him down.
“Hey! You got any classes right now?” He asks, chewing on his lip. You reply with a no, and he asks if he could stop by.
Knocks on your door get you up and away from the couch.
“Hey! I brought snacks I didn’t know what you wanted so I just grabbed a bunch of stuff—” He stops when he takes in your appearance.
You’re wearing a baggy shirt that covers your sleep shorts, your hair in a messy clip and your bare face looking pretty as ever. He gulps.
“Uh.” He stumbles, he stares at your thighs and then your eyes, realizing what he’s doing he snaps out of it.
You blink, opening the door wider. His ears and neck are flushed when he steps in.
“You can set them on the counter.” You walk over to the couch.
“O-Ok.” He mumbles. He removes his shoes and makes his way to sit next to you on the couch. He’s quieter now and it has you stealing glances at him.
“You good?” You pry, trying to find a tv show to kill time.
“Y-Yea! Mhm.” He chews on his lip. You narrow your eyes at him.
“Spit it out.” You say and he turns towards you.
“What?” He blinks frantically at you. You eye him up and down.
“You’re being weird.” You cross your arms and he’s avoiding your eyes.
“No, I’m—not.” He pouts and you smile. You nod and he huffs like a little kid.
“You’re just really beautiful and you make me nervous and I wanna kiss you.” He blurts out. You both stare at each other with wide eyes.
“Fuck.” He stands up.
“Fuck. I’m sorry. I should go.” Your thoughts are rushing and all bleeding into one.
“Yuuji.” You say before he can actually leave. He freezes his back still facing you.
“Come back over here.” He turns around, head hung low as he sits next to you. You sigh and he winces.
“Look. I don’t mind kissing you. I mean I’ve already done it once. But we have to have a serious talk about this, okay?” He stares at you and nods his head.
“Of course.” He smiles and you roll your eyes, smiling as well.
As the tv plays in the background, you scoot towards him. You rest your legs over his lap. Yuuji gulps, letting out a gasp of air. His hand hesitantly rests on your thigh as yours rest on his neck. He’s hot to the touch, making you smile.
“I didn’t know I had such an effect on you.” You giggle and he groans.
“Be quiet—” He lets out a surprised noise when your lips smash against his own. His eyes immediately fall shut and his lips move along with yours.
As your tongues dance along with each other, discovering one another’s mouths. His hands are getting desperate, grabbing at your thighs, your ass, anything really. You smirk against his lips and he whines. Shutting him up with another wet kiss.
“Y-You should totally come to my game.” He says in between kisses, completely dumbfounded with the way you kiss him so sweetly.
You were like poison, maybe even a drug and he was hooked. You pull away and he chases your lips, he pouts when you don’t kiss him back.
“Your game?” He nods eagerly.
“It's this Friday. I’d love to see you in the stands. With you in my jersey.” He rubs comforting circles along your thigh.
“With your jersey huh?” He nods again.
“Wouldn’t mind stealing a couple good luck kisses either.” He smiles excitedly. You hum, tapping your finger along his cheek.
“What are we then Yuuji.” You a raise a brow and he sits up, holding you close in his lap.
“Whatever you want us to be.” He kisses your cheek down to your neck.
“Not the right answer.” He pulls away, pouting.
“I’m not gonna be just another girl on your roaster.” You look at him sternly.
“You won’t be! I-I wanna, or I’d like to see where things go with you. I wanna make you mine.”
You blush at his words. You weren’t against it, Yuuji has always been a nice guy all around. He’s kind and caring, maybe even a little for his own good but that’s what you liked most about him. No matter what he always had a good heart and never changed.
“Prove it then. Show me you want me.” You smile and he does too.
"I will. I promise I will." His eyes look so full of light, sincerity swimming in them. You snort, pushing him away by his forehead.
You had to beg Nobara to tag along with you to the game.
"This was not how I wanted to spend my Friday night." She sighs as the gym roars in cheers and chants.
"I heard there's gonna be a party for the teams win." You say as your eyes follow Yuuji.
He played so swiftly, making baskets with ease. You found it funny, he had his own line of fan girls. They'd all fawn over him when he'd lift his shirt showcasing his abs just to wipe off sweat from his forehead.
"They already know they're gonna win?" Nobara snorts.
"Well, I mean they're winning by a lot. It's forty to sixteen." You both look at the scoreboard and wince.
"Yikes, yea there's no coming back from that."
It's halftime and Yuuji comes running to the bleachers. Nobara shoos you away and you playfully roll your eyes.
"Hey." He says breathlessly. You hand him his waterbottle and a towel, helping him wipe down all the sweat.
"Hi." You laugh and he smiles happily. You swear you can see a tail wagging behind him.
"You see all those baskets I made? They were all for you." He winks, waiting for your praise.
"Really? I didn't know with the way you'd point and wink at me." You laugh and he pouts.
"Was that lame?" He genuinely ponders.
"You're such a dork. It's cute." You smile and he laughs.
He pushes a strand of your hair behind your ear, pulling you into a kiss. It was supposed to be one, but he couldn't help himself, so he continuously kissed you.
"Yuuji." You mumble his name, and he sighs.
"Sorry, sorry. I can't help it." He caresses your face and you both smile.
For the rest of the half time, you guys are chatting up, when a girl sits next to Nobara.
"Are they dating?" Nobara side eyes the girl and continues to scroll on her phone.
"I haven't seen him in a while I didn't think he'd move on fast; he looks good." Nobara quirks a brow and finally decides to turn and see who was talking.
Her eyes widen.
"Yuko." She mumbles under her breath.
"Long time no see yea?" She smirks, her eyes running over your form.
"Why're you here?" Nobara grunts, a vein almost appearing on her forehead.
"Heard there was gonna be a party? Am I not welcome?" She pouts and Nobara rolls her eyes.
"No. You're not." She glares at her.
"You pain me, we were so close."
Nobara is growing hotter by the minute.
"Yea until you decided to cheat on Yuuji. Just get out of here and for the record he's moved on since you're apparently blind."
Yuko laughs, getting up. "We'll see about that." She whispers to herself.
Nobara clicks her tongue, watching as she recedes.
"What the fuck is she planning."
Yuuji had scored the winning point, well they were already winning but the last shot to seal the deal.
He doesn't even let his teammates cheer him on, he's running straight towards you. Kissing you with passion as he picks you up in his arms.
"I told you I'd win for you, I'm gonna shower real quick then we can head to the party."
Nobara had let you know she was going to go back to the dorm to get ready, so you waited by the locker room. A guy walks out with nothing, but a towel tied to him. You quickly look away and the guy laughs.
"Yuuji's in there, go say hi." You ignore him and Yuuji comes out at the exact same time. He scowls at the guy.
“Leave her alone.” He smiles right when sees you, his hand slips into the back pocket of your pants.
“Party time!” He cheers and you laugh.
When you guys arrive at the party he’s swept away (against his will) by his teammates. They wanted to celebrate since he shot the last winning basket. You immediately found Nobara and stook with her and Maki.
“So are you guys like dating?” Maki questions as she sips on her drink.
“Mm no, we’re talking. Things are going good so far, he’s always been sweet.” You smile, taking a sip of your drink but wincing at the taste. It was strong.
“Always?” She questions.
“Me and Yuuji go way back. We were next door neighbors.” Maki laughs but she meant well.
“That’s kinda cute.” Nobara laughs since Maki isn’t really one to call things cute.
Her smile fades when she sees who walks in through the doors. Yuko Ozawa. You don’t notice since you're chatting with Maki. But of course, the world hates Nobara and she walks right up to you guys.
“Hi you guys.” She’s smiles brightly. Such a gorgeous smile for such a two-faced person.
Maki glares at her.
“What the fuck is she doing here?” Nobara sighs and you look at her in confusion, only to find her already staring at you.
“Wow, you’re beautiful. I’d fall for you if I was Yuuji too.” She smirks and you tilt your head.
“You know…Yuuji?” You say hesitantly.
Listening to a girl about Yuuji’s experiences with him was not on your bucket list tonight.
“I’m his ex-girlfriend.” She holds out your hand and you stare at her as if she has two heads. She laughs as she puts her hand down.
“Why’re you still here?” Nobara narrows her eyes.
“I’m having such a fun time talking to…what’s your name?” You blink at her.
“Ugh whatever, you guys are boring.” She says as she steals your drink, chugs it, and walks away.
“She’s the one who broke Yuuji’s heart.” Nobara rubs her eyelids.
“That was a year ago though, he’s way happier now.” You hum lost in thought.
Speak of the devil, Yuuji comes stumbling towards you all.
“Pretty girl!” He throws his arms up, crushing you in a hug. He reeked of alcohol.
“Has Nobara been nice to you?” He smiles, leaning down to peck your lips.
“I’m always nice to her.” She scoffs and Yuuji laughs.
“Liar.” Nobara flips him off and he turns back to you.
“Are you having fun?” He carresses your cheek and you nod, your eyes distant.
“Good, I’m glad.” He leans down and kisses you again.
“I’m gonna use the restroom, can I sleep over?” He smiles charmingly and Nobara gags.
“Ew! No! I don’t wanna come back to you two fucking.” You blush and so does Yuuji.
“I-I’m just tired! I wanna sleep with her. W-Wait! Not like that! I mean—”
You peck his cheek.
“It’s fine, go pee and we’ll leave.” He hums at your words, kissing you with an exaggerated mwah and leaves.
As Yuuji walks to the restroom his heart soars. It honestly all feels like a dream to him. The both of you meeting once again and now he’s been given the chance to make you his. He has a dopey smile the whole time he’s in the restroom and out of it.
However, he hears a voice, one that he isn’t fond of like he used to be.
“Hey Yuu’.” He freezes in his tracks. His stomach drops and he turns around, his eye twitching.
It’s his ex-girlfriend, the girl he so confidently gave his heart to. Just for her to crush it into a million pieces. His breakup was harsh, he wasn’t himself for a year. He practically promised he’d never get so attached to a girl like that ever again.
Yet of course you came and changed that all for him. He was willing to give love one more chance if he knew it was with you. He gulps and she smiles.
“How’ve you been?” She says so sweetly, her words laced with venom. Yuuji turns around, powerwalking away but she grabs him.
“Yuu!” She weeps and Yuuji shuts his eyes closed.
“Listen to me please?” She stares up at him.
They’re glimmering but Yuuji knows they’re now dripping with malice intent. His breaths are short and uneven, he feels trapped within her grasp. Like a snake closing in on its prey.
“You know I never meant for any of this to happen. I wanted it to be you. I wanted us to work so bad.” Her lip jutters.
He places his hands on her shoulders to make space, staring at her with his aching eyes.
“Yuuji?” The both of them turn at the end of the hallway.
There you stand, with a confused look on your face, as the party lights flicker behind you. Yuko turns towards Yuuji, shoving her head in his neck and her hands gently on his head.
You sigh, turning around and leaving the scene. Leaving Yuuji to comprehend how bad this looks.
“You know me Yuuji, you’re the only one who knows me.” She caresses his face, and he breaks free from her grasp. His eyes are teary, and he runs a hand down his face.
“Don’t ever come back. Ever.” He runs a hand through his hair, leaving to go chase after you.
She grunts as he walks away, letting herself be consumed by the regret and guilt of her actions.
It seems Yuuji had forgotten about his car because he’s running all the way back to your apartment. It’s not like he could drive either way, he was intoxicated but that whole ordeal had really slapped some sense into him.
He’s panting in front of your door, frantically knocking. Nobara swings open the door with an unpleasant look.
“Oh, thank god, Nobara can I see—” She’s about to slam the door but Yuuji is quicker, holding out his hand.
“Please, I need to see her.”
Nobara grunts trying to push back but Yuuji is stronger. He makes it into the apartment and he's powerwalking to your room.
“Leave her alone!” She punches him and he winces. Since when did she know how to throw a good punch?
“C-Can we please talk.” He begs kneeling at your door and you huff from behind it. You crack open the door and Nobara gives you a look and you nod.
“I’m going with Maki.” She rolls her eyes.
The door closes and it’s only your small lamp that illuminates your faces. Yuuji is chewing at his lips, looking around your room. His jersey rested on your chair and you're in your pajamas.
“Say what you wanna say Yuuji.” You kick your feet, not glancing at him.
“It’s not what it looked like, I swear.” He pouts, your bed dipping when he sits next to you.
You pull yourself into a ball and he gets Deja vu. The first time he was in your room when you were both kids.
“Look Yuuji, if you’re not over her. I’m not gonna be your rebound.” You mumble against your knees. Yuuji swings towards you.
“No! No, you could never be. It's just, she caught me off guard. I didn’t think I’d see her again and just seeing her brought up all of the terrible feelings.” He looks at his lap, you glance at him and he’s messing with his hands.
“Exactly. If you’re not healed then—”
“It’s not that. I just really thought I’d never see her again. I told her to never come back. It’s like she always comes back when life is starting to genuinely feel good again you know?” He glances at you.
He moves your hair so he could see your face clearly, it’s a habit he’s grown to like.
“I don’t wanna dwell on her anymore, I’m over that and over her. I wanna be with you, only you.” He sighs.
You sigh as well, rubbing your eyes.
“I’m really tired Yuuji.” He nods.
“Shit you’re right I’m sorry.” He moves to stand up but you grab his hand.
“Stay.” You mumble and he blushes.
He takes off his shirt and his pants and shoes and you stare at him wide eyed. He halts and blinks at you.
“Um, I sleep like this. Let me put my—”
“Just get in bed Yuuji.”
“Right.” He shuts up.
He slips under your covers and at first, it’s a little awkward but then you rest yourself on his chest and his breath hitches. He’s frozen still and you smile.
“Your heart is beating really fast.” You drowsily say and he laughs lightly.
“S-Sorry.” He rests a hand behind his head and his other on your hip. He rubs soothing circles on your skin until he hears your soft breaths against his skin.
He smiles at your face, slowly and softly tracing your features. "I'd never hurt you. I promise." He whispers in your hair.
When you wake up, your flushed against Yuuji’s sturdy chest, his big arms wrapped around you securely. You move to turn around but he nuzzles his face into your hair.
“Mmm, five more minutes.” He grumbles, holding you tighter. You smile but of course all good things come to an end.
Nobara bursts through the door.
“Morning love birds!” She yells ripping open the curtains. You both groan and Yuuji pulls the covers over you both.
“Don’t wanna get up.” He mumbles and you smile.
“Let’s just stay in bed. Don’t wanna leave you.” He has you wrapped in his arms and legs like a koala.
Nobara scoffs, ripping the sheets off you both. Yuuji glares at her and the sun that shining bright down on him.
“Ugh, Nobara get out!” He whines and she grunts.
“This is my apartment! Go to yours!” He sucks his teeth, sitting up. He quickly holds his head.
“Shit, my head.” Your hand scratches his back and he lets out a gasp.
“You okay?” You mumble.
He turns to you and stares. Your hair is everywhere but you look so pretty. Your face is puffy but it makes your cheeks look bigger. He immediately smiles.
“God you’re so cute.” He leans down, prepping kisses on your face. You giggle and he wraps his arms around you.
Nobara sets a pill on your nightstand.
“Here, for your hangover. Im gonna go out to eat with everyone so if you wanna come get dressed.”
At the mention of food, Yuuji abruptly stands up. He wobbles a bit but downs the pill and starts putting on his pants.
“Let’s go eat yea? I’m hungry.” You nod and the three of you all leave.
After the talk you and Yuuji had you could feel your guys relationship was way stronger now. You were happy he was able to trust you with his feelings. That he was able to be vulnerable with you.
Today was the day, Yuuji was gonna pop the question finally. Time with you felt like years, even though it had only been a couple months. Yet Yuuji knew there was no reason to wait. He was sure about you the first night he promised you.
With a little help from Nobara and Megumi, they helped him set up a cute picnic. Your favorite flowers, favorite food, snacks. It was honestly a pretty view.
He has your eyes covered when he leads you to your small area. You gush over the scenery and he’s head over heels for your reaction.
“This is so cute Yuuji, I love it.” You shyly smile. He holds your hand gently as you both sit down.
“Not gonna lie Nobara and Megumi helped me a lot.” He laughs, rubbing his neck.
You peck his cheek and he gushes. Holding your face and he pecks you all over your face. He moves to lay down but stops.
“Oh! I-I almost forgot.” He sits up and pulls a box out of his pocket.
He seems nervous when he’s holding it, chewing at his lip. When he’s about to open it he drops it, scrambling to pick it up. You giggle and he flushes.
He pops it open and it’s an anklet with a Y, a small jewel heart next to it.
“Can I be your boyfriend?” He isn’t looking at you, his eyes are pointed at the ground and butterfly’s are flying in your stomach. Your hand reaches his cheek, making his eyes meet yours.
“Of course Yuuji.” You pull him in for a kiss and he places the box down again, deepening the kiss.
It’s a normal kiss but it’s long and sensual. All of your guys kisses were like this. Never rushed and quick. They’re meaningful and soft. Nothing has changed since the first time you guys kissed.
Your hands are on his chest and his are rested on your waist. When you both pull away, he gently rests your legs on his lap. He massages your calf as he clasps the anklet on your ankle.
“We’re matching!” He says as he pulls out a necklace that was hiding under his shirt. It’s your initial with a heart jewel next to it as well.
“You’re to cute.” You smile, pulling him into yet another kiss.
He gets lost in the kiss and with the way you kiss him. His hand is rubbing slowly on your thigh as you place your hand right below his jaw. He lets out a hum smiling into the kiss and pulling you closer till you’re on his lap. Your arms wrap around his neck and he sighs.
This is exactly where he wanted to be. In your arms and with your lips on his. Your makeout session goes on for quite awhile until the both of you pull away with puffy lips. Your lipgloss now all over his mouth.
“You practically ate my mouth.” You say as you help pack up the things. He gulps and laughs.
“I—can’t control myself around you.” He scratches at his cheek and he waits for you to grab the last of his things.
“I can’t either.” You say, pecking his cheek and walking to his car.
As Yuuji drives he lets you have aux and his thumb rubs at your thigh.
He’s so warm and your mind begins to trail off. Absentmindedly your thighs close and he looks at you.
“Sorry. Is that too far..?” He bites his lip but you shake your head.
“N-No! I’m just —thinking.” You nod and he smiles, giving your thigh a tight squeeze.
“Do you wanna come to my apartment?” He suggests and you hum.
When you both arrive, he sighs.
“Man I’m tired.” He pouts, resting on his couch and gestures for you to join him.
“All we did was makeout and you’re tired?” You laugh and his pout deepens.
“Hey! That takes a lot out of me y’know.” You snort.
“How?”
He’s about to answer but pauses then his face grows red.
“What?” You blink and he shakes his head.
“S’nothing.” He turns to turn on the tv and you narrow your eyes, scooting closer to him.
“Tell me.” You pry and he shakes his head. You peck his jaw and he swallows hard.
“Come on Yuuji, tell me.” You say with a little more whine in your tone.
“It’s just—I have to hold myself back.” He taps at his legs.
“How come?” You’re peppering kisses on his neck, his skin hot against your lips. He’s gonna go fucking insane.
“Because, well.” He stops himself again, standing up.
“It’s hot in here huh?” He awkwardly laughs and you giggle.
“It is, can I borrow some clothes?” You stand in front of him.
“Of course.” He smiles, grabbing your hand and leading him to your room.
perfect.
It was no secret, you knew Yuuji wanted to fuck you. No matter how slick he thought he was with his glances, you’ve noticed.
You didn’t mind giving him that extra push.
You sit on his bed as he rummages through his drawer. He turns around with a shirt and boxers in his hand.
“Here you can wear this.”
He places it on his bed. He takes off his shirt and you’re blessed with his toned back and arms. You stand up, undressing yourself as well.
“I’m gonna go—Oh.” He stops when he sees you’re in nothing but you're under garments.
He blushes quickly and covers his eyes.
"You should've told me you were gonna change in here!" He stammers, keeping his eyes covered.
You snicker and move close to him, taking his hands away from his face. His eyes are wide, raking over your form. He was always nervous around you and you loved it. You loved the effect you had on him.
"You're tired of holding back, aren't you?" You place his hands on your waist and he's huffing.
His hands are buzzing. Actually, his whole body is, all the blood rushing to his cock.
"You don't have to hold yourself back Yuuji." You slowly push him to sit down on his bed.
He looks up at you as you stand in front of him. Your small hands scratching the back of his head. His hands splay across the small of your back.
"A-Are you sure? I don't want you think we're rushing this." He's internally fighting his desires.
"If you're okay with it, then I'm ok with it." You peck his lips.
"Ok then." He whispers, letting his lips connect with yours.
He pulls you to sit on top of him. He's nothing but gentle with you, every one of his moves is careful, treating you like a porcelain doll.
He places pecks on your neck leading down to your collarbone. He nips at your skin, and you whine.
"Y-Yuuji." He continues to kiss your skin, his hands rubbing slowly against your ass.
"Fuck, you're so beautiful." He stutters in his movements.
His hands move to your bra straps, lightly sliding them off your shoulders.
"Is this ok?" He whispers along your ear and you nod.
His words and softness making you lightheaded. He unclasps your bra and let's it fall to the floor. One hand rests on your hip as he cups your breast with the other. He takes his time, licking and suck on your nipple.
Your moans filling his ears and only egging him on. You move your hips against his hard on. He groans with your breast still in his mouth, moving to the next one. He's stimulating you to good and he hadn't even touched you where you wanted him most.
"Yuuji please." You squeal and he smiles.
"Sorry, just wanna savor this as much as I can." He swiftly stands up with you in his arms, turning around and placing you on his bed.
He pulls back a bit to take you in. Your hair splayed out on his bed. Your eyes lidded and you're breathless with a cute flush on your face.
"S-Stop staring." You get shy, averting your eyes. He laughs, resting his elbows next to each side of your head.
"You're breathtaking you know that."
You blush and his necklace taps your chin. He leads kisses down your stomach, stopping right at your panties. He grabs your thighs, placing them on his shoulders. He places and leaves marks on your inner thighs.
You bite your lip, your hand moving into his hair. He licks your slit with through your panties . You moan loudly, pulling at his hair.
"Don't tease." You draw out and he slides your panties off.
"Fuck baby, you're dripping." He's drooling at the sight. His tongue flats out against your cunt and you gasp.
He doesn't waste a second, lapping at your juices and sucking your clit. He was a good kisser, of course he'd be good at eating you out.
He inserts his tongue in your hole, his nose rubbing your clit in the best way. You're squirming under him, a sob leaving you.
"S'good Yuuji." You moaning his name has him rutting against his mattress. He groans, the vibrations sending shivers down your body.
"I'm so close, keep going." You gasp out, your hands in his hair getting desperate.
You're practically shoving his face in your cunt and grinding yourself on his face. He could care less though, he had to keep repeating to himself not to come as you used his mouth. Your moans become louder and more frequent.
"Cum beautiful, let me taste you." His words muffled.
With a moan of his name, your back arches as he tongue fucks you through your high. You seep into his covers, your legs shaking and your breathless. He sucks the rest of your juices and he stands up, kicking his boxers off. He licks his lips and you whine at the sight. Only then do you look down at his cock. He's girthy and lenghty, a vein running down it.
"Y-You're big. I don't know if you'll fit." You look up at him however he smiles.
"Why do you think I prepped you, I'll go slow I promise." You nod and he kisses your cheek. He teasingly slides his dick against your slit, letting his member get covered with your slick.
"I'm gonna put it in okay?" You nod and he starts pushing his tip inside you. You throw your head back, moaning. You felt like you were getting split in half. He chews his lip, peppering kisses on your face.
"I know, I know baby. Just calm down." He feels terrible for hurting you that he just wanted to pull out.
"Do you want me to pull out? We don't have to do this." He pecks your lips but you shake your head.
"K-Keep going." You moan out so he does. The squelch that comes with him bottoming out has you both moaning.
"L-Let me know when to go okay?" You take a few deep breaths and you give him the green light.
His thrust are slow but you swear you feel him your stomach. With every thrust your sobbing. Guttural moans leaving the both of you.
"Oh f-fuck." Yuuji groans, throwing his head back. He grabs your legs resting them on his shoulder.
"I'm gonna go faster ok?" He groans and you moan back.
Before folding you in half he kisses your ankle, grinning at the anklet he gave you. He immediately sets a fast pace, abusing your cunt. Your moans fill the room, he was surely gonna get a complaint. He's deeper and deeper everytime his hips snap against yours. There's fat tears falling down your cheeks as he fucks you into the mattress.
"You're taking me so good." He moans out, his hips stuttering when you clench around him.
"Fuckkk, you're milking me baby, s-stop clencing I'm gonna cum." He huffs out, he wasn't going to hold out for long so he licks his fingers and starts rubbing at your clit.
"Yuuji!" You scream, your juices shooting out on his cock. Your ears are buzzing and your mind has gone to mush. Your body convulses as Yuuji finishes inside you.
"S-Shit." He breathes out, he drops your legs from his shoulders, doing his best to not put his weight on you.
"We made a mess." He laughs out, still out of breath. You laugh along with him, wincing when he pulls out.
"I'm gonna grab a towel." He pecks your lips.
You rest your arm on top of your eyes as you catch your breath. You jump when he wipes your cunt and thighs.
"Sorry. Did I hurt you?" He wipes more gently, and you hum a no.
"You didn't hurt me. I think that was the best orgasm I've ever had." He chuckles.
"I should've put a towel. I didn't think you were gonna squirt." He blurts out and you slap your hands on your face.
"Yuuji!" You whine.
"My bad! It's nothing to be embarrassed about! It was my first time being squirted on."
You whine again, shoving your face in his pillow. He lays down next to you, pulling you against him.
"Hey, don't be shy. I loved it." He kisses your shoulder, nuzzling his face in your hair.
"Yea but you didn't have to say it like that." You pout and he laughs, making your stomach flutter. You turn around and he smiles when you do but he perks up.
"Did you want a shirt? I can grab it real quick." You shake your head, scooting closer to him.
"No I just wanna cuddle with you." You shove your face under his chin and he smiles.
"I got so lucky." He says out loud.
"Do you think it was fate?" He rambles as he run his hands through your hair.
"Us?" You question and he hums.
"I mean, I like to think it was." He whispers. You smile, gushing at how cute he was.
"You do?"
"Yea, I'm really happy. You're like my angel." You pout at his words.
"You're so sweet Yuuji." You wrap your arms around his neck, and he smiles.
"You know what's funny." He says, placing a peck on your forehead.
"Hm?"
"It all started with a kiss."
You smile as you move to stare in his eyes. You kiss him, pulling away until your noses touched.
"Yea, it did."

Hi! I want to start off by saying that I absolutely ADORE your stories!! ❤️💖💖😁😁😁😁💖💖❤️ And I also really hope you make a series out of the de-aged Captain Marvel au! The potential cuteness and absolute chaos is great!
Tim Drake no longer owned Drake Manor.
When his mother died, it had fallen out of his family's assets as his father had been less than prepared to run the company. When he woke that was.
At the time, Tim had been struggling with the loss and the craziness life had become. Moving to the penthouse was a necessary evil because otherwise, Bruce would have noticed that his "uncle" wasn't around as much. He hadn't really missed the manor, but it was a comfrot to see it there, unchaning since his family fell apart.
He always told himself he would repurchase it, making a mental note whenever he was at Wayne Manor, but he never did for one reason or another. The building remained on the market, but it was considered bad luck among the elites to purchase ancestral homes and the regular populance could never afford it.
Tim would sometimes glance at the manor while driving his motorbike to visit the Waynes. Occasionally, he would stop at the gate, staring at the building and reminiscing.
It would help clear his head on some dark nights. He silently promised himself that when he retired from the field, he would come back home and maybe raise his own family here. It was likely a lie because he couldn't imagine a life without being a vigilante, but it was a nice thought anyway.
He did that today, going for a drive to clear his head and aiming to stop in front of his old home to climb over the fence and sit under the same tree when he realized with a start that the yard had been cleaned up and a group of people were moving items into the building. Yanking out his phone, Tim did a quick search, feeling all the blood drain from his face when the listing now read: SOLD
An overwhelming sense of numbness erupted from his chest as he looked back up, watching the moving crew go to and fro with the belonging of the new owners.
Someone had bought his childhood home. Tim had allowed it to slip through his fingers.
He doesn't have time to process that before a child's laughter has him swinging his head to the top of the gate pillars. There, a boy with bright blue eyes is watching him, eating a giant swirl lollipop.
Tim's heart launches when he realizes how close the child is to tilting over as he yells "Hi mister!"
"Hey there." Tim says as calmly as he can speak."Are you okay up there? You can fall."
"I'm fine. It's really easy to climb up here."
Tim knows. He used the same method to follow Bruce and Jason as a kid. Still, it doesn't make it safe so he steps closer, just incase he needs to catch the kid. It helps, having this distraction from the ache of his mistake in not rebuying Drake Manor.
He ignores the empty sign that the child is leaning against, the faded outline of his family name showing where they removed the metal shapes. He can't handle that right now.
"If you're sure. My name is Tim by the way. What's yours?"
"I'm Billy! I'm five years old! " the boy answers, holding up his hand with a cheer. He gives his lollipop two licks before he gestures at Tim with it."Why are you standing in front of my house?"
"I just.....got curious. You have a pretty house." Tim says as evenly as he can.
"It's super pretty inside, too! My Dad bought it for my Mom and Papa," the boy cheerfully tells him. We move next to my uncle because my Dad says we have to stay close to family."
Wait.
"Bruce Wayne is your uncle?" Tim asks, and the boy nods rapidly. He even points down the street to where Wayne Manor can be viewed from a far distance- neighbors, they may be- the two properties were very vast. "He lives over there with my cousins."
Cousins.
"Oh" Tim hears himself say "That would be me."
Billy eyes sparkle "You're a Wayne?"
"Yes, Tim Drake-Wayne."
"I'm Billy Phantom! Heir to throne!" Billy shouts leaping off the pillar cuasing Tim to launch forward with his arms streach out ready to catch. He hits the ground with a oof but a lack of weight in his hands says he failed to caught Billy.
Not that it mattered as Billy floated in the air harmlessly. Tim glances at the workers to see if anyone has noticed that the boy is apparently a meta, but they don't even look over. Maybe the information was disclosed upon hiring?
"Are you Robin?" Billy says in his face, flouting upside down and staring into Tim's round eyes. He still lays in a heap on the floor, position for a catch and it must make quite a sight to any onlooker. "You look to big to be that one."
Before Tim could even think of an excuse, multicolored rose petals started to fall around them in a dazzling down. It appeared like foral confiti falling from the heavens. Billy flips around to see a pale, beautiful woman dressed in a gothic attire walking toward them.
Behind her, plant life blossoms into a wonderful sight. "Mom!"
"Billy, what did we say about Uncle Bruce's secret?" The lady says, voice musical to the ear.
"But Mom! Only the ghosts are around!" Billy whines, pointing at the moving crew further down the driveway, who have yet to pay attention to them. They didn't care that a goth version of Posion Ivy had strutted by.
"That's no excuse. What would your auntie Jazz say?"
"She says I was not being trustworthy with secrets and other peoples' feelings. I'm sorry." Billy slumps, flouting down to pout on the ground.
"Exactly. Hello Timothy," the woman continues, turning her purple eyes towards the down boy. It's lovely to have family over. "I'm Sam, goddess of the Green. Bruce recommended this place to us. We are excited for the next ten year vacation"
Bruce has a lot to tell him, more then just selling his family house without letting Tim know.

______________________________________________________________
Toto stood at the window, the hospital room filled with a serene quiet. You rocked the baby gently in your arms, trying to focus on the peaceful moment, but your mind kept drifting back to the things his family had said. Every comment felt like a dagger, cutting deeper than you’d let yourself admit. You’d spent so much time second-guessing your own reactions, wondering if you were being too sensitive—just like your ex-friends and ex-boyfriend had always claimed.
But this felt different. You had just given birth. You were vulnerable, exposed, and instead of support, all you got was veiled judgment.
Toto turned around, sensing your unease. He crossed the room in a few strides, sitting beside you on the bed, his hand resting on your knee. "What’s wrong?" he asked softly, his dark eyes filled with concern. "You’re not yourself."
You tried to smile, to push it down, but the weight of it all was pressing on you too hard. "I don’t know," you whispered. "I don’t want to make it a big deal. Maybe I’m overthinking things. Maybe I’m just being sensitive."
Toto frowned, his grip on your knee tightening slightly. "Sensitive about what?"
You hesitated, the words sticking in your throat. But the memory of Eva’s voice, sharp and critical, wouldn’t leave your mind.
"Your mom…" you started slowly, "she said, *‘Ach, du siehst müde aus’* (Oh, you look tired), and I know I *am* tired, but the way she said it—it wasn’t just concern. It was like I was already failing somehow. Like I should be doing more, looking better. I’ve just had a baby, and instead of asking how I feel, she’s telling me I look bad."
Toto’s jaw clenched, but you continued, the words pouring out now.
"And then Katharina, she didn’t even say congratulations before she looked me up and down and said, *‘You’ll want to lose the baby weight quickly, right? There’s a Pilates instructor in Vienna…’* I know I’ve gained weight—of course I have, I just carried a child—but she made me feel like it’s a race to get rid of it. Like my worth is tied to how fast I look ‘normal’ again."
Your voice wavered, but you pushed on. "And Margit—she took the baby right out of my hands and said, *‘Das ist nicht richtig. Soll ich es dir zeigen?’* (That’s not right. Should I show you?) I was trying my best, and she acted like I didn’t even know how to hold my own baby. I already feel like I don’t know what I’m doing half the time, and she just made me feel… useless."
Toto stood up, his face dark with anger. He started pacing, his fists clenching and unclenching. "Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?" he demanded, his voice sharp. "Why did you let them say those things to you?"
"I didn’t want to cause problems," you said quietly, your gaze dropping to the floor. "I thought… maybe I was just seeing it wrong, like I always do. Maybe I was interpreting everything too negatively again. But the more I think about it, the more I realize… it wasn’t okay. They made me feel small. Like I wasn’t good enough."
Toto stopped pacing, his expression hardening. "You were right. They were out of line. I’m not letting this slide."
Before you could stop him, he grabbed his phone, his fingers flying over the screen as he found his mother’s number.
"Toto, wait," you pleaded, "don’t make this worse—"
But his face was set, determined. He brought the phone to his ear, speaking in rapid Polish as soon as his mother picked up. "Mamo, musimy porozmawiać." (Mom, we need to talk.)
You could hear the faint sound of his mother’s voice on the other end, but Toto’s expression didn’t soften.
"Nie, nie później. Teraz." (No, not later. Now.)
He glanced at you, his eyes blazing with a protective fury. "Dlaczego mówili takie rzeczy do Y/n?" (Why did they say those things to Y/n?) His voice was cold, demanding answers.
You watched, feeling torn between relief and anxiety as Toto continued to tear into his mother over the phone. You couldn’t understand everything, but the tone was unmistakable—he was furious, and he wasn’t going to let this slide. He paced back and forth, his voice low and dangerous as he spoke in quick bursts of Polish, likely recounting every hurtful comment you had shared with him.
After a few moments, his voice softened slightly, but his anger was still clear. "Nie obchodzi mnie, czy miały dobre intencje. Nie pozwolę, żeby tak traktowali moją żonę." (I don’t care if they meant well. I won’t let them treat my wife like that.)
He paused, listening to his mother’s response, before he sighed, rubbing his hand over his face in frustration. "To musi się skończyć. Teraz." (This has to stop. Now.)
He hung up the phone, his face still tense, and turned back to you. "I’ve told them," he said, his voice softer now but still firm. "They won’t be speaking to you like that again."
You looked down, guilt flooding through you. "I didn’t mean for this to turn into a big thing…"
Toto knelt beside the bed, taking your hand in his. "It’s not your fault. They were out of line, and you deserve better. I’m sorry I didn’t see it sooner."
You nodded, tears welling up in your eyes. "I just didn’t want to cause problems. I was so scared I was overreacting."
Toto cupped your face gently, his thumb wiping away a tear that slipped down your cheek. "You’re not overreacting. You’re not being too sensitive. You’re my wife, the mother of our child, and no one gets to make you feel less than the incredible woman you are. Not even my family."
You let out a shaky breath, finally feeling the weight of their comments lift just a little. You had doubted yourself, but Toto was making sure you’d never have to doubt him.

High School Time Travelers, Part 2
It's finally here! Follow up to this story.
***
“So. Spill. What the fuck is going on with you and Angelique?”
Raph fidgeted uncomfortably, and something within Erin roared out in protest at that. They were in her room, surrounded by her clutter and band posters and the stuff he kept at her house to keep his mom from throwing it away. He wasn’t supposed to be uncomfortable here.
Eventually, he took a deep breath. “I time-traveled last night.”
“I’m serious—”
“So am I,” he said wearily. “I woke up in a house I haven’t set foot in for years, across the hall from someone I promised myself I’d never talk to again. It happened, and if you’re stuck on that part then this conversation can’t continue.”
Erin got up and paced her room, kicking aside her backpack, nearly knocking over the guitar stand in the corner. “What the fuck.”
“That’s what I said.”
“What the fuck, Raph.”
“I didn’t mean to!”
The absurdity hit her instantly—he didn’t mean to time travel, as if they were talking about him forgetting his homework or getting in Monica Dillon’s way during passing period. She wanted to laugh.
But then she remembered some of the weird things Angelique had said—about friendships imploding, about college, about shit not mattering in high school, all with the easy certainty of experience.
“Prove it,” she said. “Can you do that thing where you predict what I’m about to say?”
“I’m not stuck in a time loop, dumbass, yesterday I was thirty-three!” Raph snapped. “I had to go through math class trying to pretend I still remembered my teacher’s name!”
“Okay, okay, Jesus.” Erin held up her hands placatingly. “There’s gotta be something.”
Raph sighed, rubbing his forehead. “I dunno. Anything meaningful and unchangeable I can remember won’t happen for a while, so if you’re willing to wait for the Trump presidency or the global pandemic, there’s that.”
“The what.”
“Wait, who’s president right now? It’s still Bush, right?”
Erin pulled a face.
“Next one’s Barack Obama, he’s gonna do two terms,” Raph informed her. “First black president.”
“Oh, huh. Cool,” Erin said faintly.
“Let’s see, what else, um… Balloon Boy? Has Balloon Boy happened yet?”
“No, what the fuck is Balloon Boy?”
Raph brightened. “Yeah, so at some point this family is gonna release like, a homemade weather balloon? Or something? And there’s gonna be this huge panic because they think their son is stuck inside it, but then it turns out he was fine and hiding in the basement the whole time and it was a hoax.”
“Okay, I’ll keep an eye out for that I guess?” Erin sat down again. “You’re seriously not fucking with me right now?”
“I mean, if you want, we could forget this conversation ever happened,” Raph offered. “Continue with our normal lives, while I keep under-reacting to devastating world events.”
“Christ, I don’t know.” Erin pressed her palms into her eyes. After a moment, she lifted her head again. “Wait a minute, we’re getting off track. What does this have to do with Angelique?”
Raph’s silence could not have been louder.
“Raph,” Erin said, a little desperately.
“First you have to promise you won’t be mad,” said Raph.
“Did you sleep with her in the—” Erin paused to do some arithmetic in her head. “—eighteen years between then and now?!”
“She’s my wife,” Raph blurted out.
Moments later, Erin’s mother knocked politely on the bedroom door. “Everything okay in there?” she asked. “That’s an awful lot of screaming for a Tuesday night.”
Erin continued howling into her pillow. “She’s fine, Mrs. Yokota!” Raph called. “We’re looking at—uh—creepypastas!”
“Creepy what?”
“Uh—crap, are they still called that?—like, ghost stories and stuff!”
Placated, she left them to it. Eventually Erin recovered enough to lie back and stare listlessly at the ceiling.
“Dude.”
“Yeah, I know.”
“What the fuck is your life?” Erin demanded. “How did that even happen?”
“We ran into each other at—so my friend Hazel got roped into being in their college roommate’s bridal party and dragged me along for moral support, and Angelique was in the same friend group but with like six degrees of separation from us,” Raph explained. “It took half the reception for her to recognize me because at that point I’d been on T for a few years, but the second she realized we went to the same high school she turned fishbelly-white, pulled me aside, and apologized for how much of a bitch she was back then. It was really awkward.”
Back then, he called it, even though for Erin it was still right now. “And you married her?”
“Like eight years later, yeah.” Raph ran his hand through his hair, not quite hiding the small smile that stole over his face. “She really turned over a new leaf.”
Erin was silent for a while, mulling over this new information, combining it with what she already had from that afternoon.
“Is your name still Raphael?” she asked. “She sounded really surprised about it. And I know you said you were just taking the name on a trial run, but you really seemed to like it. Not that there’s—you know,” she added. “I know that—just because I picked it, I knew you might not… you know. It’s fine, I was just wondering. If I should call you something else.”
“I did—I do like it,” Raph assured her. “But, uh, some stuff happened. My dad found me.”
Erin’s eyebrows shot upward. “Wait, really? What’d he have to say for himself?”
“That Mom ghosted him when she got pregnant because her side guy had more money.”
“Dude, fuck your mom.”
“Don’t fuck my mom, she’ll ghost you for money, weren’t you listening?”
Erin burst out snickering. “Fuck, sorry, this isn’t funny.”
“It will be in eighteen years,” Raph said with a wry smile. “Hindsight. Anyway, he found me in—he’s gonna find me in two years unless I reach out first. He’s a good guy. My stepmom’s pretty cool, too. And I have sisters? So that’s awesome. And yeah, he had this friend who passed away when he was younger, and he always wanted to name his son after him, but then Mom disappeared and he only ended up having daughters, so when he found me, it kind of worked out.” He hesitated. “I’m Damian. Damian Raphael Harker.”
“That’s such a cool name,” Erin sighed.
Raph—Damian—tilted his head back to grin at her. “Yours is cool, too.”
“Shut up,” she said fondly.
“No, seriously,” he said emphatically. “Your name is unspeakably cool.”
There was something odd in his tone, sticking up and catching like a loose nail. It bothered her, the same way something Angelique said earlier had bothered her.
“Hey, Ra—Damian?” Erin said cautiously. “Earlier, when Angelique sat down with us, she didn’t recognize me.”
“She does, don’t worry.”
“No, she didn’t,” Erin pressed. “It took her a second to realize who I was, and she stopped herself from saying why.”
Suddenly Damian looked deeply uncomfortable. “I, uh.”
She took a deep breath. “Was I dead in your time?”
“Wh-no! No no no no, of course not!” Damian looked horrified. “We played Pathfinder like last week, you’re not dead.”
“What’s Path—no, never mind. Something’s clearly up. If we just played whatever-that-is last week, and Angelique is your wife, then why didn’t she know who I was?”
“Uh…” Damian’s hands had worked their way deep into his sleeves. “You look different, that’s all. You kind of reinvented yourself in college.”
“Oh,” Erin said, momentarily relieved. Then— “Wait.”
“What?’
“Damian. You’d—” She hesitated. “If I was a guy, you’d tell me, right?’
“Oh my God,” Damian mumbled into his be-sweatered hands.
“Damian.”
“You’re... not...”
“You’d tell me, right?”
“See, I don’t know if I would!” Damian answered, in a strained high-pitched tone. “That’s—look. If you were a guy, that’s something you’d have to work out for yourself!”
“Damian, I swear to God.”
“I can’t crack your egg for you, that’s like violating the Prime Directive!”
Erin seized a pillow and started to buffet him with it. “You are such a nerd!”
“It’s your personal journey, you can’t use me to cheat!” Damian cackled, fending her off with a plush horse.

“Yeah I’ll get the banana split.” Angie bounced on the balls of her feet, eyes raking over the array of toppings. “Can you put caramel and chocolate sauce on it? And Heath bar pieces, chopped strawberries, and M&Ms.”
“Yeah, sure thing.”
It took all of her self-control not to press her nose against the glass as she watched them make it. Some small part of her balked at the sight of three huge scoops of ice cream and all the toppings, but she quieted it. She had a second shot at being a teenager, and that meant never taking her garbage disposal stomach and body made of rubber bands for granted ever again.
She hummed absently to herself, only to pause halfway through the tune. How did it go again? She tried repeating the first half, only to get stuck at the same spot. Oh, this was going to bug the crap out of her. It wasn’t like she could look it up, not when the song wouldn’t come out for almost ten years—
Her phone vibrated in her purse, and she checked it absentmindedly, zeroing in for a moment on the DAD displayed on the screen. After a moment, she put it back without answering. If it was that important, he could text.
Sure enough, her phone gave a short buzz. New text message—he hadn’t even bothered to leave a voicemail.
DADI need you to talk to your brother.
Angie checked her banana split’s progress with a glance, and replied.
lol why
DADHe’s not listening to me. We both know the courts favor the mother so if we’re going to beat her I need both of you on your A game.
Angie ground her teeth until her jaw creaked.
what do you need me to do
DADJust coach him on how to talk about her. You’re a smart lady, I know you can do it. He’s always getting scuffed up at practice, just have him say the bruises came from her. Throw in a drinking problem if you have to, just keep your stories straight.
why father dearest i’m surprised at youyou want me to lie under oath?
DADJust talk to him, will you? Keep your stories straight, don’t get too outlandish, and we’ll get out of this with everything we want. You’ll never have to hear the word no again, I promise.
ok daddy ill do my best!
DADGood girl. You’re the smartest girl I know. Smarter than your mom, smarter than her bitch lawyer. Love you!
“Order up!”
Angie brought her banana split to the table with the clearest view of the door. It took her a moment to decide how to begin, then nearly a full minute balancing equal parts ice cream, banana, and toppings in a single spoonful. She managed it in the end.
Mood lifted, she unlocked her phone again and made a call. “Heeeey, Anika.”
“Need I remind you that phone calls are billable,” her mother’s lawyer said dryly.
“Yeah, I’ll be quick, I have some incriminating text messages I think you’ll be interested in?”
The sound of rustling papers paused. “Go on…?”
“Dad just told me to lie to the judge,” Angie explained, twirling a thin ribbon of caramel around her spoon. “And to coach Eric to lie to the judge. I took screenshots.”
Anika cursed softly under her breath. “Thank you for telling me. Send them to your mom, okay? Thank you.”
“Yeah, no problem.”
The bell above the ice cream parlor door jingled, and Angie perked up as both Damian (Raph?) and Erin walked in. She waved them over, grinning when both pairs of eyes widened at her treat.
“That thing’s half the size of your head,” Erin pointed out.
“Sure is, you guys came just in time.” Angie nudged it across the table, along with the two extra spoons. “If we split it, I’ll have enough room for a milkshake chaser.”
“You’re a monster,” Damian said delightedly. “Oh shit, are those Heath bars?” He dug in without waiting for an answer.
“They’re peanut butter cups,” she said solemnly, once he’d taken a bite and could probably tell they weren’t. “I added them just to hurt you.” Damian rolled his eyes and dug his spoon back in.
Erin stared at her, probably still baffled by the gentle banter, but at least she looked more curious than infuriated, like instead of being suspicious she simply didn’t know what to make of Angie.
“So, you guys talked?” Angie asked carefully. “Are we… all good?”
“I think so,” Damian replied, shooting a cautious glance at Erin.
“You’re on thin ice,” Erin informed her as she helped herself to the chocolate scoop.
“Fair.” Angie didn’t remember Erin putting up quite as much of a fight, but then, it had been years when they’d reconnected before. This time around, it was still fresh.
“The ice cream helps,” Erin added, slightly muffled by the spoon in her mouth.
“Noted.” Angie paused, weighed her options, and shrugged. No harm no foul, probably. “Hey, you’re a musician, right?”
Erin swallowed. “Yeah, why?”
“And not just a performer, but you write music too, right?”
“Yeeaaah?” Erin squinted suspiciously. Beside her, Damian shot Angie a warning glare.
“If I give you half a tune, could you resolve it?”
Erin was staring at her like she’d grown a second head. “Probably.”
“Great!” Angie hummed the earworm from earlier. “How would the next part go?”
Erin repeated it to herself, nodding along. After a moment, she said, “Probably like—”
And sure enough, there it was. The rest of the chorus’s tune came rushing back to Angie’s memory, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
“Thanks! That was driving me nuts.” Angie returned to her banana split, ignoring Damian’s growing scowl.
Later, when Erin was in the bathroom and  Angelique was standing in line to order her promised milkshake, Damian dug his elbow into her side. “You’re not as slick as you think you are,” he muttered.
“What?” Angie said innocently. “I didn’t give anything away.”
“You just taught her half the chorus of a song she’s eight years away from writing!”
“I’ve planted a seed,” Angie insisted. “I’ve created a stable time loop.”
“That is not what you did and you know it.” Damian pursed his lips, clearly trying to stay annoyed with her. “I barely avoided spoiling her transition, and that’s after she asked me to my face.”
Angie grinned. “So you haven’t told her she’s a genderfluid punk rocker yet?”
“No. Because she’s not a genderfluid punk rocker yet.”
“And now, when she becomes one,” Angie said with a smile, “she’s going to look back on this day and laugh.”

Hello there! Love your work on the Max Verstappen x reader fiction. If it isn't too much, can I request an angst based on the song " All I wanted was a coffee" by Samantha Ebert? You can decide the ending but, a gut wrenching angst with kelly is appreciated. Thank you!
I hope you like this, I tried to use the song in the way that I saw fit. The reader has many insecurities and bit of mommy issues. Mention of cuts and bleeding.
I wish you loved me
Tumblr media
{Reader’s POV}
Max and I started dating soon after he got out of a really long relationship with his ex. With Max being a Formula One driver; the details of his past were general knowledge, did I wish I didn’t know? Yes. Because in the pictures of Max and Kelly, you could see his eyes sparkled and he would smile so bright sometimes and I felt like I never got to know that Max. But every relationship is different; I couldn’t compare it, could I?
Max was loving, I mean every boyfriend is. He would sometimes forget important stuff but he was a busy man with an even busier job.
But it hurt when I saw Max with P or Kelly for that matter. His eyes would light up; I just felt like crap every time he met them, but Max never noticed. At the end of the day, Max was always around P while she was growing up, it was a given she missed him, right?
It got worse when Kelly started coming to races and meeting Max. The worst was yet to come; the other girlfriends started to side eye me whenever me and Max would interacted as if Max was Kelly’s boyfriend.
I was in the bathroom when I heard them; they were talking about how Max and Kelly looked cute together, they were the model family, that Max deserved better. Kelly even talked about all the gifts he got her and P recently. I just sat there in the cubical for a very long time.
I waited, I was dumb I know but no one’s loved me before and the fact that Max was willing to love me even for a moment felt like relief. I didn't want to let him go, I couldn't not when there was a chance he would come back.
I waited like always, Max was always away having dinner with P since she missed him. She missed him a lot ever since we started dating. I never said anything since Max was like her father figure but it hurt.
One of those nights, I was sat drinking whiskey, it was in Max’s alcohol cabinet. The bottle was almost over. The snacks finished up soon after the third glass. I was sat on the floor, glass in hand when Max walked in. “World’s best dad everyone” I sang. “How much did you drink?” He laughed. He laughed at me. “You know my mother was right” I said, trying to get up. “She wasn’t really the best mom, now was she” Max commented. “Yeah but she was right about a lot of things and she was right about how difficult to love I was” I laughed. Max looked at me with sadness in his eyes, “don’t pity me Max.... How could Kelly steal you from me?” I cried. Max said nothing. “No no sorry sorry, how can something be stolen from me when it was never mine to begin with.” I laughed bitterly taking the last swig from my glass. “The alcohol’s gone Max, just like your feelings for me or did you ever have them to begin with?” I slurred.
“Y/N I” Max began. “No Max, you’re not at fault. It’s my fault for coming between 2 lovers. You should’ve told me that you loved her, I would’ve never dated you” I cried for the first time tonight in front of Max. As I steadied myself, the whiskey bottle fell down, and I tried to pick up the pieces but ended up cutting myself. “Hehe look Max I’m bleeding” I giggled holding up my hand. “Y/N let’s clean that up” Max said trying to hold my hand. “NO, Kelly won’t like it. I’m not a home wrecker...or maybe I am” I laughed bitterly. “Let me help you” Max pleaded. “You look at me with so much concern for the first time since we started dating” I pointed out. Max’s eyes bore into mine. I tried to walk away but ended up stepping on the glass. “Look I’m bleeding from my foot now too. At least now people can see that I’m hurt since I’ll have bandages all over me. My heart ache gets missed every time. Maybe now, they might see my hurt, for once” I said with fresh tears forming.
“Mothers are always right. I’m unlovable, always been. If only I was pretty, if only I was a model, if only I was thinner, if only I was….Kelly Piquet, then you would’ve loved me. But I’m me, I’m plain old difficult to love, Y/N that’s why I’m unlovable” I chuckled. “Let’s go to the hospital” he pleaded again. “No, I’ll take care of myself. Don’t worry about me anymore. I’ll be out of your hair before you know it. Then you can have your happy ever after with Kelly” I laughed bitterly. “Did you ever love me?” I asked. Max was quiet. “I was just a rebound wasn’t I. Tell me you really loved me even for a second” I begged. “I’m sorry.” He said.
I grabbed my phone with my other hand while bleeding on to the floor; “don’t worry. I’ll clean your place before I leave” I said looking at the trail of blood I was leaving and dialled my phone calling the only person I knew in Monaco, the only person who didn’t hate me or talk badly about me, Lewis. “Lewis, Hi....I need to go to the hospital. I’m bleeding” I giggled. “Are you drunk? How did you hurt your self? Where are you?” He asked concerned. “Yes, yes, home no wait, Max’s home” I answered. I heard him sigh. “Where Max?” He asked. “He’s here” I said looking up at Max. “Ask him to take you now?” Lewis suggested. “NO, we broke up, and ex-boyfriend’s don’t take their ex-girlfriend’s to the doctor” I explained. “What?” He asked shocked. “Please Lewis, it hurts. Can you come soon?” I asked. “I’ll be there soon” Lewis said and cut the call. I sat there and looked at Max, “The whiskey tasted sweet as always and you sobered me up so fast” I sighed looking at the mess I had made.
Lewis came to take me to the hospital; he did not speak to Max. I guess even he knew what was going on. I didn’t see Max again after that either.

Chapter 2
I reached for the bottle of wine for the third time in the last hour and a half. I was sitting with Kat, pyjamas adorned, in the living room of mine and Levi's modest two bedroom house. For financial (and personal) reasons, our little house didn't follow current trends and looked more like something out of a popular 90s sitcom. The couch was comfy, the blankets were fuzzy, and a fresh pot of coffee was always brewing. Pictures embellished the walls of every milestone Levi had achieved; every birthday party, every new dirt bike, every new hairstyle. There were a few of Kat and I from over the years, going way back to when we first met back in ‘99 and both decided to rock platform heels on at the turn of the millennium - having tiny babies at the time didn't seem to stop us. Every single moment on these walls was a happy memory - something that I would treasure forever, yet there was something missing. There were no photos - or perhaps a scarce few - of my own parents, or of them with Levi, or of any extended family for that matter. The price I paid when I decided to have my son out of wedlock, at barely twenty years old, with a man who my family saw as a total stranger, is a price I'd pay every time in a heartbeat. Kat and Toby were our family now, and that was more than I could ever ask for. That was why the sheer possibility of Levi getting to meet his dad for the first time in, well, ever… it had my mind spinning. It was a scenario I'd dreamt of, late at night when I couldn't sleep and the burdens of life weighed me down. I conjured false memories in my minds eye of the pair of them fixing his bike on the drive or driving to school in the impala. I pictured us having breakfast together as a family and taking trips to the movies. Being together. Because no matter how many dates I went on, or how many frogs I’d kissed over the years, none of them were Levi's father.
None of them were Dean Winchester.
“Girl you have to reach out to him,” Kat walked in from the adjacent kitchen before slumping on the couch next to me, wine glass elevated to reduce spillage.
“Kat I could barely look at him today without feeling like I was going to have a heart attack - how the fuck am I supposed to talk to him?” I glanced at her with wide eyes, every nerve in my body on edge despite the wine and scented candles. Kat sighed.
“You might never get this opportunity again, and we both know that if you don’t give Levi the opportunity to meet his father then you’re going to regret it for the rest of your life.” I held my breath, urging the raging storm in my mind to quiet down before letting the air gush from my lungs.
“Yeah I know. I just…I just never thought that this would actually happen, you know? I never thought that Dean would show up here. I figured Levi would eventually track him down when he was old enough to make that decision on his own. I have no idea how to even approach this.”
“Sure you do!” Kat beamed, a wicked glint in her eye, “you sit him down and say, ‘Hey Dean! Remember when we had sex in the back of that amazing car of yours nine years ago? Well, actions have consequences, and yours in eight years old and sitting in his science class right now.’”
I couldn't stop the grin from spreading across my face and I cackled when the bit of popcorn I threw landed in her wine glass.
“Bitch.”
I blew her a kiss in response to her insult. It didn’t take long though for the distraction to run its course and for my mind to return to its state of panic.
“But seriously, what am I going to say to him? What if I tell him, and he rejects us too, like my family did?”
Her smile softened.
“From everything that you’ve told me about that man, I highly doubt he’s going to reject you. Sure, he might not stick around permanently, but he sounds like the kind of guy that would stay in touch,” her softened smile turned to a stern stare, “but he’s only going to do that if he knows. He deserves to know he has a son.”
I took a long gulp of my wine.
“Yeah, I’m going to tell him…” I paused, gnawing my bottom lip as I drew my knees to my chest, “it’s Saturday tomorrow so I’m not at work and Levi has two hours at the track. I can try to do it tomorrow, but I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to track Dean down in that time - I have no idea where he could be.”
“Hey, I’ll pick up Levi from Motocross - it’s been a few days since him and Toby have spent any proper time together anyway, just them two. Tobes’ has been dying to show him those brand new boots of his.”
We shared a smile. That’s the thing about Kat; she always had my back, no matter the situation.
“Thanks babes, I owe you one.”
She shook her head.
“No way - this is me returning the favour from when Toby’s dad decided to show an interest in his own child. I’m pretty sure my kid thought you were adopting him at one point from how much he stayed here,” I laughed, remembering the camp bed I bought especially for Toby, along with all the extra duvet sets and boxes of cereal I’d had to purchase for the best part of half a year.
“He’s a good kid, and honestly he and Levi entertained themselves for most of it.”
There was another pause in the conversation as I recounted how difficult it had been for Kat when David had shown up, insisting on being a part of Tobys life despite zero contact since his son was born. They’d argued over custody, over which school he went to, the clubs he attended. Even his hobbies were on the line, with David wanting him to play football despite Toby already being involved down at the track with the bikes. The stress caused Kat to lose weight and sleep, and she nearly lost her job over it all when she kept falling asleep at her desk. I’d lost count of how many times she’d cried in my arms. Cried over a man who thought that practically owning his son was his God given right despite being an absent father, and I think that is what scared me the most. That I would feel the same wretched things that she felt, and the waves of disappointment that crashed over her time and time again when false promises were made. It took her months to settle on an agreement due to David's behaviour, and Toby finally sees his father, albeit only for one weekend a month. It's better than nothing, but certainly not worth the fight that was fought with blood, sweat and tears.
I hope from the bottom of my heart that Dean takes the news well, and doesn't leave us in the dust like he does in my worst nightmares.
Tumblr media
It had taken me around thirty minutes to track down Dean. Well, to at least find the impala. It's common knowledge that if you find that car, Dean isn't far away. I’d parked my truck two spaces down, and luckily we were within walking distance of my favourite café, Jolenes’. It was my safe space. The place that I would finally tell him about Levi.
I pulled the sleeves of my soft cardigan down over my hands to stop myself from chewing nervously on my nails. Leaving the safety of my truck, I paced over to the black Chevy and stood by it, determined to speak to Dean as soon as possible. I knew that if I had stayed sitting behind my own wheel, there was a huge chance that I'd chicken out and just drive away. As I waited I checked over the car in front of me, admiring how he still kept it spotless after all these years. Unable to stop myself, I let my gaze drift over to the backseat, the events that unfurled on the soft leather racing to mind. I pulled my lip between my teeth, unable to resist the replay of memories.
“You have good taste in cars.”
I practically launched out my skin as the voice came from behind me. I could hear the amusement in his voice from a few feet away. I spun on my heel and our eyes locked, the charming grin slipping slightly from Deans’ lips when he realised it was me. The playfulness in his features quickly softened, a true, genuine smile now gracing his lips.
“Dean…” I suddenly felt breathless, but despite my nerves I returned his smile in kind.
“It's good to see you (Y/n),” he stepped forward and pulled me into his arms, enveloping me in his entirety. I closed my eyes as I hugged him back, wrapping my arms around his neck and taking a deep breath, my brain tingling at his familiar scent.
“You too, Dean. It's been too long.”
After a moment we released each other and Dean stood up straight, smiling at me again with a soft twinkle in his eye. We both flinched slightly when someone cleared their throat and he took a step back.
“Oh, uh, (Y/n), this is Sam, my younger brother,” he patted the shoulder of the young man standing beside him, and I instantly recognised him from the dessert parlour. He was tall, taller than Dean even, which was one hell of an accomplishment, and his face held a similar boyish charm to Deans. Yet he looked softer around the edges, like he hadn't been hardened by life too much yet.
“It's a pleasure, I'm (Y/n). I've known you're brother for a while,” I smiled as I shook his hand, taking note of the rough calluses beginning to form on his palms. “He used to talk about you all the time, apparently you're the smart one of the family,” with a grin and a quick glance at Dean, I tested the waters with humour. If he laughed or took the blow like a champ, now was a good time to talk to him. Sam chuckled, squeezing my hand slightly in his before letting it go.
“Ouch… (Y/n), sweetheart, aren't you supposed to be on my side here? Y’know, with our history and all…?” he feigned hurt with a hand on his chest before his lips twitched up and he shot me a wink.
“I mean… she's not wrong,” Sam laughed, dropping his hands lazily into his pockets.
“Hey, I'm just going on what you told me, Dean. Don't hold that against me,” I grinned at them both, unsure of what to do with my hands so I crossed them across my chest.
A small breath of silence passed between us, Deans’ gaze holding mine with an intensity that made me want to look away. I didn't. Sam cleared his throat again, clapping his hand to Deans’ shoulder before taking a step back.
“I'll, uh, give you guys a few minutes,” and with an appreciative nod from Dean, Sam gave us some space. With his younger brother gone, my heart began to flutter in my chest. The time to break the news was getting closer, and my nerves were on edge. On fire.
“So,” he started, taking a step closer with a deep breath, “how's it going? How long has it been?”
“Nine years,” I was almost too hot on the mark, my words coming out faster than I'd intended and Dean blinked slightly. I sighed, looking down. “There's been a lot going on, and honestly, I've really needed you at times. You're a hard man to find Dean Winchester.”
“I'm sorry, sweetheart,” his brows pinched apologetically and he reached for my hand, tracing my knuckles with his thumb. I took a deep breath and met his gaze again.
“Do you… do you have some time? I need to talk to you. It's important, and if I don't do it now, I don't know if I'll get another chance.”
He nodded slowly, giving my hand a squeeze, releasing it hesitantly with a slight wince to his features.
“Uh oh,” he said, “am I in trouble?”
I laughed, the sound light off my chest.
“Oh Dean,” I reached up to touch his face, and his instinctive reaction was to lean into my palm, “you don't know the half of it.”

The walk to the café had been pleasant. We chatted about what we'd been up to since we last met - Dean revealing he was still in the same line of work and had travelled around a lot, never really settling down. There was something about that nugget of information that made my stomach twist in knots. He learnt I was still a receptionist, this time at the local garage  instead of the large dealership I had scored before. He asked why I'd changed, to go to something smaller, lesser, and my silence urged him to wait until we were at our destination. He knew I was anxious, and he did his best to keep conversation light and breezy until the time was right. To an untrained eye he was unphased, yet I could tell from the lip nibbling and flitting gaze that he was nervous too.
Do you think he's already guessed it?
The bell jingled as we walked in, the two baristas looking up and instantly greeting me with a wave and a smile.
“Hey (Y/n)! Your couch is free,” the first barista, a young man around my age with soft blond curls waved to me across the counter, his brilliant grin making me smile with a comforting familiarity. “Your usual?”
“Yes please! Thanks, Jake,” I returned the friendliness, stepping around the tables until we arrived at my favourite spot.
“And for your… date?” He gestured to Dean, who was now shrugging off his leather jacket, “what can I get for you pal?”
Dean hesitated, before just holding his hands up.
“Uhhh, I don't know, I guess I'll have what she's having.”
With our hot beverages on their way, I sat down in my usual nook in the corner whilst Dean sat down opposite, in that same plush armchair that Kat had sat in yesterday. Where Kat had been swallowed by the chair and its all-consuming cushions, Dean had the opposite effect. He made the chair look small under his broad form, like it was made for a child. There were a few moments of silence, neither of us really knowing where to start. So I bit the bullet.
“Dean… before I tell you anything, just know that I've been trying to get hold of you on and off for years. Your number always seemed to go to voicemail and I never got a call back. So please just… know I tried.”
I looked up and he was totally engaged, already hanging off every word I said as he leant forward, his elbows on his knees. Our attention pulled away from each other briefly as our coffees arrived, hand delivered by the second barista - a woman a few years older than myself with a jet black pixie cut.
“Thanks Emily, you're an angel,” I grasped the mug before she even had a chance to put it on the table and clutched it in my lap, letting the warmth seep through my palms to help soothe my nerves.
“No worries babes, you two have fun,” she looked between Dean and me with a playful smirk, throwing me a wink before she turned around.
Great, the gossip starts now.
I turned back to Dean who was now sitting on the edge of his seat. I took a deep breath.
Do it now.
“Dean, I have a son.”
I watched his face twitch slightly, almost like it dropped in disappointment, however it was so fleeting across his features that it was hard to tell. He pulled a strained smile onto his lips.
“(Y/n) that's great, I'm happy for you,” he looked down at his boots briefly, choosing his next words, “I guess this is you telling me to stay away, huh? Now that you have a family and all. It's ok, I get it.”
I shook my head, placing my cup on the table so I could pull myself to sit on the edge of the couch, almost mirroring Dean.
“No, no Dean, that's not- look, what I'm saying is…” another deep breath, “you, have a son.”
I watched his eyes go wide, unsure if he heard me correctly.
“What?” His voice was breathy.
I looked down into my mug for a second, choosing my words.
“I have a little boy; he's eight, his name is Levi…and he's yours, Dean. He's your son.”
I dared to look up at him, watching his eyes go wider and his mind empty of thoughts. Either that, or his mind is racing so fast that it's left his body on standby. I gave him a few minutes to process the news. Or at least process it the best he could as it would likely be days or weeks before this fully sunk in. Nervousness prickled at my own skin, my worst fears of rejection bubbling to the surface again at his silence. I sighed.
“It’s ok, Dean, I’m not expecting you to-”
He stood abruptly, stepped over the coffee table and pulled me to my feet, wrapping his strong arms around me in a crushing grip. His arms were so tight that it almost winded me, yet I returned his embrace. The feeling of his lips on the top of my head surprised me as he kissed my hair, the sensation warm and comforting. He placed one, two more kisses before he cupped my face in his large hands, his rough palms gentle against my cheeks as I locked eyes with him. The sight was beautiful. The annoyance and exasperation that I expected to be met with was nowhere to be seen, and I saw no shadow of negativity within those evergreen eyes. All I saw was love. Pride. Joy. Excitement. The relief washing over me felt the same as climbing into your nice, warm comfy bed when on the brink of exhaustion.
“I’m a dad?” his voice cracked slightly whilst his eyes shimmered.
I nodded as a grin erupted across his face, followed by an airy, almost unbelieving chuckle.
“Holy fuck, (Y/n)-”
“You’re not mad?” my voice was quiet.
“What?” Dean looked at me as though I’d grown a second head, “of course not. Why would I be mad?”
“Because it’s been nine years since we last saw each other, and suddenly this woman who you’ve not spoken to in nearly a decade drops the biggest truth bomb on you. A truth bomb  that I know you definitely weren’t expecting,” I try to step back but he pulls me in for another hug, squeezing the air out of me a second time.
“(Y/n), sweetheart, this is the best bit of news I’ve had in a long, long time.”
I smiled into his chest, freeing my arms to wrap them around his neck and pull him down into a hug of my own. We stood for a moment in our embrace as the coffee shop busied around us. I knew this shop and I knew this town and people would soon start to talk, start to try and figure out Dean: like who is he? How does he know (Y/n)? Why are they acting so familiar? Is he trouble? But that was all unimportant rubbish that I would deal with later. Right now, Levis father was here, and he knew. For the first time in my adult life I felt like I wasn’t keeping some devastating secret from an incredible man, and it was like I could breathe again.
Pulling away from Deans’ bear hug, I tucked the wisps of hair away that had come loose from my claw grip and grinned up at him, reaching for his hand. I held it in mine as I swayed slightly on the spot, like an excited schoolgirl who’d just been asked on her first date. Dean smiled down at me, the sort of smile that shone on top of the world.
“So…” I started, biting my lip slightly.
“Do you want to meet your son?”

"Dick, sweetie. Please go tell Damian that he's going to be late for school. He's been upstairs for a while," you tell your oldest son as you tried to feed Martha.
"On it!"
Dick found Damian standing in front of the bathroom mirror, combing his hair to his idea of perfection.
"Damian. Mom said you're going to run late for school," Dick tells him.
“I wanna look good for picture day for Ummi,” Damien tells Dick.
“You know mom will love your pictures no matter what.”
“I know that but I want this to be extra special. After she had Martha, she’s been busy,” Damien explains.
“You know mom loves us no matter what. Sure she may be busy with Martha but that’s because Martha’s a newborn. She needs the attention at the moment. But you know mom will give you attention again soon.”
“Yeah. I know.”
“Just make sure you’re in the car in ten minutes,” Dick told Damien.
“Of course.”
“You look so handsome, Damien!” You tell your son as he rushed down to the kitchen. “Cassandra, honey. Your ballet is divine but please be careful.”
“Sorry mom.”
“Have a good day at school, Damien! I look forward to seeing your pictures when we get them!” You smile sweetly at him.
“It’ll be the best you’ll have,” Damien tells you as he rushed out of the house with a bagel.
The moment Damien stepped into the school, he felt victorious. He succeeded in going into school without messing up his hair. That was until a student tripped and spilled their water bottle onto Damien.
——
His picture was anything but perfect. Damien handed you the framed photo before looking down in shame.
“Aw. I love it!” You chirped happily as you hugged Damien.
“You do?” Damien asked, looking up at you surprised.
“Trust me Damien. I have at least one awkward photo of all my children and you have added to my collection,” you say as you kissed his head.
“You really like it?” Damien asked you.
“If you want to do a redo picture, that’s fine with me. But I will be keeping this one no matter what,” you tell him.
“So when Martha has an awkward photo…”
“I’ll keep that one too. As long as I continue to have photos of my children, I’ll love them all.”
“I’ll do something even more special for you to make up for this!” Damien promised.
“And I look forward to it. But for now, let’s go ahead and hang this up,” you tell Damien as you put it with your other children’s pictures on your wall. You admired the photo before looking back at Damien.
“As long as I have pictures of you all, I don't mind how they look," you tell him.
---
“Come on. What’s taking so long?” Tim asked as he walked into Martha’s room.
“Martha doesn’t want to wear the bow!” Stephanie tells him.
“Come on Martha. Put on the pretty bow. Please,” Tim asked. Martha stared up at her older brother as she shook her head.
“What’s going on?” Damien asked as he walked into the room.
“Martha doesn’t want to put on the bow,” Tim said.
“Let me try. Come here Martha. Let’s put on the bow,” Damien said as he put the headband on his little sister. Martha smiled up at her older brother before reaching up for him to hold her.
“Why does she like you more?” Stephanie asked.
“Because I spend more time with her. Now let’s hurry. Mom and dad will be home soon and I want this photo to be perfect."
Your birthday was always celebrated lavishly. Bruce would fly in your closest family and friends for a dinner and anything else you wanted to do. So Damien thought this would be the perfect time to make up that horrible picture he took for picture day. As well for his siblings to also make up their own awkward school photos.
“Thank you Bruce for throwing me my birthday party. And thank you all for coming and celebrating with us,” you say out loud to everyone at your party.
“We would actually like to surprise our mom with a present gifted to her by her children,” Dick announced after you. You and Bruce looked at them as the kids brought in a wrapped gift.
“From us to you Ma. Happy birthday,” Jason said. You opened up the gift to see a framed photo of all the kids dressed in suits and dresses with a smile on their faces. You teared up as you stared at the photo.
“I love it!” You say.
“Now you can have all of us in one picture,” Damien said.
“I love it. Thank you sweetie,” you tell him as you kiss his head.
“We also took some individual photos to make up for our awkward school pictures,” Tim mentioned as he handed you another present.
“Thank you. I love it so much,” you say as you cried from happy tears.
Bonus:
“Come on you guys! Damien promised me we’d go to the arcade after this,” Martha said as she dragged two of her older siblings into the room.
“Sorry! Traffic was bad,” Tim said as he stood in between Jason and Damien.
“Remember how Martha didn’t want to put in her bow until Damien asked nicely?” Stephanie asked Tim.
“Those were the good ol days,” Tim sighed.
“Alrighty! Ready?” Cassandra asked.
“Perfect! Okay kids. Smile right over here,” the photographer said before taking the picture of the batkids.
It had been a tradition for the kids to take a picture all together every year for your birthday present. It was to show how each of them have grown over the years. No matter what was going on, each batkid had agreed to meet up one day a year with no excuses to take the photo for you.
"I think this is our best one yet," Damien said as he looked at the photos.
"Aright, see you all next year," Jason joked as he walked out.
"Come on! We gotta go!" Martha told Damien.
"Okay. Okay."

Doing It All For Us (Pt.6)
Masterlist
Rafe Cameron x Reader
Summary: The angst after sex is wild
Warnings: Language, smut, violence, knives, blood, drugs (cocaine)
Word Count: 4.8k+
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You felt the heat of the morning sun on your face. Looking out the window you could see the sun begin to rise. You stirred slightly in Rafe's arms as you sat up to look around the room.
Rafe was still asleep, his arm draped over your torso. You could feel a pain between your legs as you remembered the events of last night. A plethora of emotions ran through you. You had sex with him. Like what?
You slipped out of bed, careful not to wake him. You left your dress on the floor, slowly sliding open Rafe's dresser and grabbing a t-shirt and a pair of his boxers. You pulled them on quickly and tied your hair back. You had obviously gone to sleep with wet hair because the beach waves were prominent.
You went for his door but stopped yourself. "Shit," You whispered, realizing his whole family was probably home. You were not taking the walk of shame through the Cameron's house.
You bit your lip as you looked at his window. Rafe stirred in bed and you squeezed your eyes shut, praying he wouldn't wake up.
He didn't.
You made your way to the window and opened it. Glancing back at your sleeping boyfriend one more time before you climbed out the window and onto the roof.
There was a tree sitting perfectly outside his window for you to climb down. And this wasn't your first rodeo. You and Courtney became pros at sneaking out back in LA.
You slowly lowered yourself, branch by branch until your bare feet touched the grass below.
You took a deep breath and looked around, making sure no one was watching you.
When you were positive you were safe you took off running down the street towards Courtney's house.
"Court!" You yelled as you pounded on her door.
Her mom answered the door. "Y/N? Are you okay? It's 8am."
"Oh, hey Helena," You greeted. "I'm fine, I just need to see Court."
Helena was in her robe, coffee mug in hand. "She's in her room," she said as she waved you in. She was obviously hungover from Midsummers.
You ran up to Courtney's room and busted inside, slamming the door behind you.
"Courtney!" You hissed as you jumped on her sleeping form. "Courtney, get up!"
"What the fuck?" She hissed, trying to push you off her.
"Courtney, I need you!"
"Okay, chill!" She said as she rubbed her eyes and sat up slightly. "What the fuck is going on?!"
"Me and Rafe had sex!"
"Oh my God!" She was up now. "How was it?!"
"I don't know, like, totally amazing," You said as you sat back on your knees.
Courtney looked over at her clock. "Wait, why are you here? Did you not stay at his house?"
You bit your lip and let your head fall to your hands. "I snuck out his window this morning."
"Y/N, why?!"
"I don't know!" You said as you stood up and ran your fingers through your hair. "I got scared."
"Y/N, he's your boyfriend."
"I'm aware, bitch. I just need a fucking minute!"
"Okay, well, like, did he make you cum?" Courtney asks.
You bite your lip and smile. "Multiple times," You sit down beside her. "Court, his dick is huge, and his tongue, oh my god." You fall back on her bed.
"Does your pussy hurt?!" Courtney asks excitedly, laying down beside you.
"I'm sore as fuck," You laugh. "I was bleeding after and he held me in the shower and washed me off and, Court, it was so fucking amazing."
"I'm so happy for you, Sunflower!" She said as she pressed a kiss to your forehead.
You felt your phone buzz underneath you.
"Is it Rafe?" Courtney asked, wide-eyed.
You pull your phone up. "Yeeeup,"
"What did he say?"
"He says 'Where are you? Are you okay?'"
"Tell him you're okay!" Courtney urges.
"Oh shit, he's calling me." You answer.
Y/N: Hey babe!
Rafe: Where'd you go, baby girl?
Y: Uhm, I'm at Courtney's.
Courtney: I got my period! I needed ice cream!
You were grateful for Courtney's cover.
R: Oh, well can I see you later?
Y: Yeah, yeah of course babe. We could meet at the club around noon?
R: Can't wait. Love you!
Y: Love you too!
"Oh my God." You sigh. "I'm a shitty girlfriend."
"Hey, no you're not," Courtney says as she takes your face between her hands. "You just lost your virginity. You're overwhelmed. It's completely normal."
You smile sadly at her. She presses her lips to your forehead. "Come on, let's get pretty," She says, dragging you off the bed and to her vanity. You smile as you sit in front of the mirror and get to work.
You spread sparkling purple shadow over your eyelids, lining a cat eye into your hood for effect. You pressed rhinestones all around your eyes and applied way too much blush to your cheeks.
Courtney stood behind you, straightening your hair as you finished your make up.
"Did it feel like love?" Courtney asks. "Like the sex? I've never loved anyone.."
You smile. "Yeah, it did."
Courtney smiles at you in the mirror. "You're so beautiful," She says as she runs her fingers through your perfectly straightened mane. "I'm so glad Rafe treats you well. I'd hate to have to slit his throat."
You laugh as you lean back against her. Keeping your eyes locked with hers in the mirror. "Do you ever want to fall inlove?" You ask.
Courtney shrugs. "Maybe. I just feel like I'm not ready to commit." She admits. "But watching you fall in love," She says as leans down and adjusts your hair over your shoulders. "Is all I could ever want." She kisses your cheek and walks in to her bathroom to fix her hair.
You fiddle with the 'R' that clings to your neck as you pick through Courtney's closet, already in your favorite blue bikini, you settle on a simple white dress. It hugs your breasts just right and comes down just past your ass, if you bend over you're sure to give people a show. You slip into a pair of Michael Kors flip flops and go to sit on Courtney's bed.
"You ready?" She asks. "Kelce and Top are already shitfaced."
"Did they even go home?" You chuckle.
"Probably not,"
You and Courtney run downstairs. "Headed to lunch, mom!" Courtney yells.
"Oh you girls look cute," Helena says as she gets up from the couch. "Meeting boys?"
"Y/N's dating Rafe Cameron," Courtney gushes.
"Oooh! He's a peach!" Helena says.
You blush. "Yes, yes he is. Love you, Hell!" You say as you pull Courtney out the front door.
"Wear condoms!" Helena shouts after the two of you.
You bite your lip as you stumble to Courtney's Mercedes. You and Rafe had not used a condom last night.
You climbed into the passenger seat. "Here, play something." Courtney said, throwing you the aux cord as she backed out out of the driveway.
youtube
"This song makes me feel alive," Courtney says as she lights a cigarette.
You giggle, taking a drag off the Newport when she hands it to you.
"I miss coke," You admit.
Courtney looks over to you. "Yeah? What about pills?"
You shrug. "Don't really care about pills. I just wanna be up."
"I have coke," Courtney says.
You turn to look at her. "Share bitch,"
"Y/N, I don't wa-"
"It's not opiates, Court. Come on, I really need a confidence boost. I'm actually nervous to see Rafe."
Courtney sighs as she pulls into the club. "Fine."
You clap your hands together. Courtney grabs the coke from her center console and pours out a pile, using her credit card to split it into four even lines. She rolls up two bills and hands one to you.
"Cheers bitch!" You say as you both lean down and inhale the lines. "Oh my fucking God," You say. "I fucking love cocaine."
You both hop out of the car and skip towards the club.
"Y/N!" You hear Rafe call after you. You and Courtney stop mid skip and turn to face him.
You swallow, trying to present yourself as normal. "Hey, babe!" You say, running and jumping into his arms.
Courtney stands awkwardly behind you. Failing at looking sober as she fidgeted.
Rafe notices and pulls back from you, taking your chin between his fingers as he forces you to look into his eyes.
"Are you high?" He asks, noticing your pupils are fucking popped.
"Shiiiit," Courtney says as she tries to sneak off.
"Did you get her high, Court?" Rafe asks as he places you on the ground.
Courtney backs away, hands up in defense. "She-"
"Yeah, I got high, Rafe." You interrupt. "I didn't do any fucking pills. Just a lil blow."
"Why?" He asks. His voice was broken. The fact that you had done drugs broke him.
"I-I don't know." You confess.
"Did I do something wrong?" He asks. Tears filling his eyes.
"There they are!" Topper and Kelce approach the three of you. "Let's fucking eat!" Topper says, pushing you all into the club.
You sat between Courtney and Rafe awkwardly. Kelce and Topper order Mai Tai's for the table.
"You guys okay?" Topper asks as he notices the three of you looking down.
Rafe had his arm resting on the back of your chair, covering his mouth with his hand as he looked off in the distance.
You grasped Courtney's hand under the table as you felt a panic attack rise. You were enjoying your high until Rafe fucking ruined it.
"Awh, how cute." You heard a familiar voice say. "Wining and dining the junkies?" Maria said.
"Rafe, does your little junkie girlfriend make you cum like I did?" Jessica teases as she leans over the table.
"Oh, ya'll are dumb." Kelce says before you and Courtney stand up. You grab a steak knife off the table and lace your fingers through Jessica's hair. Courtney twists Maria's arm behind her back and pushes her towards the door.
All eyes were on you know as you pushed these sluts out of the club.
Rafe, Kelce, and Topper ran out after you.
You slammed your foot into the back of Jessica's knees. Causing her to cry out in pain and fall to the ground as you held the knife to her throat.
"I'm fucking sick of the two of you!" You scream.
Courtney throws Maria into the dirt and steps on her back so she can't move. "Stay down, bitch!"
You had the knife pressed so close to Jessica's throat blood was starting to trickle down her neck as she cried.
"If you two speak to us ever again, I will fucking kill you." You whisper in her ear.
"Hear that, bitch?" Courtney asks Maria, pressing the heel of her foot deeper into Maria's shoulder blades.
"Y/N!" Rafe yells, yanking you off of Jessica. You pry yourself out of his arms.
"You were with this cunt?" You ask, pointing your knife towards Jessica.
"Y/N, I don't-"
Before he could finish, the cops were pulling up to the club.
"Shit," Topper said. "Run!"
You and Courtney fucking booked it out of there. Taking off down the beach. You glanced at Courtney. She nodded her head, knowing exactly what you were thinking.
The two of you grew up swimming. You dived into the waves and swam your way out to sea.
"The cave!" Courtney yelled. You dived under the water and followed her to the secret spot the two of you shared. Courtney had showed you the mini cave when you first moved here. You promised each other you'd never tell anyone about it.
Once you both entered the cave you pulled yourself up on to the small shore that sat inside.
"We'll have to get out of here before the tide comes in," Courtney states.
"Did we just fuck up our lives?" You ask as you held your knees to your chest.
"No," She shakes her head. "We need a break from the boys. And those bitches can fucking die."
"Rafe hooked up with Jessica." You stated sadly.
"He doesn't care about that bitch," Courtney said. "She blew him for coke."
"Rafe's just been around and I'm so...inexperienced." You say.
"What does it matter? He loves you."
"Courtney," You start. "Love gets you hurt. I don't want that."
Courtney turns to look at you. "I'm here for whatever you choose. But I think you should stay with Rafe."
"Why?"
"You're pushing him away cuz you're scared. I've been on this island for four years. Rafe Cameron has never cared about anyone but himself until he met you."
You bite your lip and hug your knees to your chest, watching the salt water wash against your toes.
__________
"What happened here?" Shoupe asks.
Rafe, Kelce, and Topper back up, hands in the air.
"We were just checking on them. We heard a commotion and came out." Kelce explains.
"So you didn't see who did this to them?" Shoupe asks as the officers look over Jessica's wounds.
"It was Y/N and Courtney!" Maria yells.
"Your girlfriend is a fucking cunt!" Jessica spits at Rafe.
"Well maybe if you didn't constantly run your whore mouth!" Rafe says as he runs towards her. Topper and Kelce hold him back.
Tears fill Jessica's eyes. "Yeah, cry about it bitch!" Rafe yells. "You never meant shit to me! You're a fucking mess!"
"What's your fucking problem?!" Maria spits.
"My problem?! This piece of fucking garbage won't leave me alone and now the fucking woman I love swam out into the goddamn ocean! Why can't you two sluts just fucking drop dead!"
Topper and Kelce stayed quiet as the girls started crying.
Rafe spits in Jessica's direction. "You're a fucking cunt."
Rafe scoffs and heads towards the beach where you and Courtney had disappeared.
Maria comforts Jessica as she sobs.
"You guys should really of minded your own fucking business." Topper tells the girls before heading off after Rafe.
Shoupe pinches the bridge of his nose. "I'm so fucking over these goddamn kids." He says. "Come on ladies, let's get you home."
"You're not going to go after that psycho bitch?" Maria yells. "She held a knife to Jess's throat!"
"We will have a dive team come out and look for them. They couldn't have gone far." Shoupe says as he helps Jess and Maria into the back of his car.
_____
"How much longer can we stay here before we drown?" You ask Courtney as the water came half way up your stomach.
"Probably one more hour," She admits, nuzzling against your shoulder. "We should probably get back to shore."
You nodded in agreement.
The sun was almost completely gone. Darkness draping the sky with a slight tinge of sunlight.
"You ready?" Courtney asks.
"Right behind you,"
Courtney dives into the water and you follow her. Making your way out of the cave and heading towards the shore.
You flip over, opting to back stroke so you could appreciate the sunset as you made your way back to land. Being in the water was where you preferred to be.
When you finally reached the sand you sat for a moment. Pressing your body against the warm grains.
"Baby!" Rafe said as he ran to your side. "Baby, are you okay?"
"Yeah, Rafe. I'm fine." You said dryly. Of course he was waiting for you on the beach.
"I was so worried." He said as he pulled your head to his chest.
You couldn't help yourself. You just wanted to push him away.
You tried to pull back. "No," Rafe said, bringing you back into him. "You're going to talk to me."
He helped you to your feet and ushered you down the beach.
"We'll be here!" Kelce yelled after you.
Once you were away from earshot Rafe let it all out. "Y/N, what did I do? What's going on?!"
You just lower your body to sit in the sand as you rest your head in your hands.
"You regret it." Rafe says. "I'm so fucking sorry. I would take it back if I could. I never meant to make you feel this way." Rafe sat beside you, tugging at his hair.
"No, baby..." You begin. "I don't regret it. Not at all. I just got scared." You look up to meet his gaze. "And...I'm just jealous that half these sluts on the island have slept with you." You clench your jaw.
"It's really not that many." Rafe says.
"I'll slit all their throats and drink their blood from a chalice." You mutter.
Rafe smiles, pulling you in to meet his lips. "You making that bitch bleed was the hottest thing I've ever seen."
"Why'd you stop me from killing her?" You ask, wrapping your fingers around his throat.
"Because I'd kill myself if you got locked up. Living without you is my worst nightmare."
You smile at his response.
"Fuck me, Rafe."
Rafe doesn't hesitate to untie your bikini and toss it to the side. He quickly pulls down his shorts and lines you up on top of him. Holding your hips, he helps you sink down onto him. You were still sore from last night but the stretch felt amazing.
Rafe Cameron was inlove with you. You could tell with each thrust as he ran his fingers through your hair.
"Beautiful girl," He said as he thrusted into you harder. "Absoluetly perfect."
"Shut up," You moaned.
"I can't help it. I'm obsessed with you," He says as he rolls you over, pressing your back to the sand. "You're God's most divine creation," He panted into your ear. "Aphrodite,"
"Rafe-" You could feel yourself reaching your high again.
"That's right, pretty girl, cum for me."
Rafe thrusts into you hard a few more times before he releases himself inside of you. You can feel his cum coating your walls and you wrap your legs around him, preventing him from leaving your body as you pulsed around him.
"We're going home," He whispers in your ear. He quickly helps you to your feet, wrapping your bikini bottoms back around your body and tying them sloppily.
You could feel Rafe's cum dripping from your body as you stumbled beside him. You could hardly stand. He wrapped his arm around your waist, keeping you upright.
"We're going to Y/N's. If you wanna ride, get to steppin'" Rafe demands.
Everyone stands up and heads towards the truck.
Courtney grabs your arm and pulls you behind the group. "Are you guys good?" She asks.
You smile and giggle. "Yeah, we're good."
_______
You and Rafe fucked like rabbits. Your friends could barely get the two of you to hang out. His hands were constantly groping your body. Just feeling him close to you turned you on.
"Can ya'll chill for like 5 minutes?" Courtney chuckled, pushing a shot towards you and Rafe.
You bit your lip and smiled at her.
"You're a horn dog," She said.
"Sex is addicting!" You giggle.
"Oh so Rafe is the best you've ever had?" Kelce teases.
You bite your lip. "Mhmm. Only man I've ever had. And I don't think anyone could compete." You say as you turn around and take Rafe's face between your hands.
"Wait, you were a virgin?" Topper asked shocked.
"Wait, what?" Kelce chimed in.
Courtney just laughed and sipped her drink as the boys jaws dropped to the floor.
Rafe pressed his tongue to his cheek as he tried to hide his smile.
"And you let this meatloaf take your virginity?" Topper added. Pointing at Rafe.
"He happens to be very good at what he does." You smile, pulling Rafe into a kiss.
Rafe kisses you back passionately as he flips off his friends.
"I dare you guys not to fuck for two days," Courtney says as she sits on the counter and pours shots. "You have to spend time with us," She motions to her, Kelce, and Topper.
"Yeah, I could actually use your help with this Sarah shit." Topper said sadly.
"She's with John B, huh?" You ask as Rafe sets you on the counter and rests his head against your shoulder.
"Yup, she wants to be a fucking Pogue." Topper hisses.
"Well cuz of you, her little Pogue boyfriend is living at my house now." Rafe scolds.
"Wait what? Why?" Courtney asked.
"Topper here pushed John B off the Hawk's Nest after Midsummers. Now my dad has taken him in."
"I didn't mean for him to fall, dude." Topper argued.
"Wait so John B is at Tannyhill?" You ask.
"Yep!"
Topper grinds his jaw. Hating the fact that he lost Sarah to a Pogue.
"Top, fuck her." You say. "She's a cunt. We all know that. You deserve a good girl. A fucking Kook princess."
"She was that," Topper said sadly.
"Look man, jokes on her cuz look who she's with." Rafe said, placing his hand on Topper's shoulder.
"And you don't have to go near Tannyhill," You told him. "You can stay here whenever. Rafe's always here anyways, besides when he's working. And Sarah can't come here. I'll tell her to kick rocks if she tries."
"Thanks," Topper offers sadly and throws back a shot. "How's things with your dad, Rafe?"
Rafe shrugs. "He's letting me work again. He's still an asshole though. It's all about Sarah."
You roll your eyes. Annoyed that Sarah Cameron was causing so many problems for the people you care about. "Come on!" You say as you hop down from the counter. "Let's go get drunk at the club!"
"DOWN!" Courtney agrees. "I can drive."
"We have our bikes," Rafe says, gesturing to Topper and himself. "Wanna go for a ride, baby?" Rafe asks as you all exit the house, grabbing your hips and pulling you into him so he can place wet kisses down your neck.
"Two days!" Courtney yells at you. "Come on, Kelce." Courtney and Kelce climb into Courtney's car and drive off.
Topper gets on his bike and takes off. "Here you go, sweetheart." Rafe says as he hands you his helmet. "Hang on tight, yeah?"
You nod in agreement and wrap your arms around his waist as he starts his bike and kicks off towards the club.
When you pulled up to the club, you slipped the helmet off your head and shook your hair out, running you fingers through the waves to get them unknotted.
"That was fun!" You told Rafe.
He smiled at you and threw his arm around your neck as he led you into the club. Heads turning as usual as you walked inside. You spotted Jessica and Maria glaring at you. You blew them a kiss and wrapped your arm tighter around Rafe, knowing he was yours and no one else's. The two bitches were even more upset now knowing that you had enough money at your disposal to get rid of any charges against you, no questions asked. It seems they finally learned to keep their goddamn noses out of your business.
You all grab drinks at the bar and you and Courtney lounge in some beach chairs and tan while the boys play corn hole.
"Did you see how mad they were?" Courtney laughs as she looks over at you, shielding her eyes from the sun.
"At least they've finally learned their lesson," You scoff. "I swear I was ready to kill her."
"You're a psycho,"
You laugh. "You know, I've felt a lot more calm lately."
"Cuz you're getting dicked down daily by that!" Courtney says as she turns to look at Rafe.
You follow her gaze, sliding your sunglasses down your nose as you admire your boyfriend. Your mouth watered at the sight of him. Ready for him to take you in the bathroom and fucking ruin you.
Tumblr media
"Ugh, snap out of it!" Courtney groans. "You're worse than me!"
"I can't help it! He's just so fucking perfect. And his dick, my God, Courtney."
"You've told me. You're an addict." She chuckles.
"No shame," You say as you both lean back into the sun.
You sipped your drink as you listened to Topper continue to cry about Sarah. You were glad he was venting to the guys because you were quite frankly sick of hearing about her.
"RAFE CAMERROOONNN!" You hear a familiar voice yell.
"Oh shit, is that Barry?" Courtney asks as she looks towards the entrance of the club.
You hold your breath, remembering what he did to Rafe last time. You quickly pull your knife from your bag as you watch Rafe and Topper walk over to meet him.
"Y/N...don't." Courtney says but you ignore her, following the boys out to where Barry was obviously upset about something.
You stood back a bit as you listened to the boys talk.
"My little sister robbed you?!" Rafe asked, confusion in his voice. "Sarah wouldn't pick a dollar up off the street!"
Fucking Sarah again. You had tried to be kind to her at the beginning. Since you were so close to Rafe and Topper. But now, the bitch had another thing coming.
When Barry grabbed Rafe and threw him to the side you acted quickly. Whipping out your switch blade and standing between the two boys.
"Not another fucking step!" You hiss at Barry, trying your best to shield Rafe with your small figure.
Barry laughs. "Well shit, Country Club's got himself a lil body guard, huh!"
You feel Rafe wrap his arm around your chest and pull you back into him as you continued to point your knife at Barry, eyes narrowed, showing no trace of fear. You honestly weren't scared of him. You'd dealt with plenty of drug dealers back in LA and one coke head from the Cut wasn't going to take you down easy.
"Baby," Rafe whispered in your ear, pulling you back.
"I'd listen to your boyfriend, sweetheart," Barry teases you. "Ain't got much protecting you." He says as he eyes your body. All you had on was a bikini, you hadn't even bothered putting your shoes on.
You attempt to lunge towards him again but Rafe holds you back, now wrapping his other arm around you, trying to cover you from Barry's gaze.
"Figure this shit out with your sister, Cameron! If it's not from you it's from her! Remember that!" And with that, Barry walked back to his car and drove off.
"Jesus, Y/N!" Topper says, finally letting out the breath he'd been holding.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Rafe asks, turning you around to face him.
You tucked your knife into the waist band of your bikini. "Protecting you," You spat back at him.
"Y/N, he's a maniac! He could have hurt you!"
You scoff. "You don't think I can handle my shit?"
"That's not what I'm saying! I just don't want you to get hurt! You gotta stop being stupid-" He stops himself when he sees the pain cross your face. "I didn't...I didn't mean that..."
You bit back your tears before pushing past him and making your way back into the club.
"Y/N!"
"Dude, what are we gonna do about this?" Topper asks Rafe, stopping him from going after you.
"It's not my problem, man."
"Rafe! This is Sarah we're talking about! Give Y/N a minute to cool off before she pulls a knife on you too."
Rafe looks at you one more time and then back at Topper. "Alright, let's go."
_____
"Can you take me home, Court?" You ask as you throw your knife in your bag and slip your shorts on.
"Uh, yeah. What was that all about?"
"Doesn't matter. You have any yay?"
"Some. Not sure if I'll be able to get more after you just pulled a knife on Barry!" She scolds.
"You can just fuck him for more."
Courtney scoffs. "What's your problem?!"
You sit down and sigh. "I'm sorry, Court. Rafe just..."
She sits down beside you.
"He got pissed at me for wanting to protect him."
She lays her head on your shoulder. "I'm sorry, babes. He didn't mean it. He just wants to keep you safe."
"I want to keep him safe too."
"And you do. It's just a guy thing. Not the best look for them when their tiny girlfriend is more threatening than them."
You both laugh.
"Come on. Let's go home. I'm sure Rafe will come back after he's chilled out."
You nod. "Okay."
____
You railed your fourth and final line of coke.
"All gone," Courtney says sadly as she sucks on the bag.
You had told Rafe you wouldn't do it again. Not after the other day. But you were stupid right? Stupid bitches do stupid shit.
Courtney sat and played with your butterfly knife as you sat back on your bed, irritated as hell.
"I'm getting pretty good at this!" She said as she flipped it around her fingers. You had far too many knives for a 19 year old girl. But you didn't like guns. And growing up in LA, you learned you needed protection. Plus, they were fun. You'd get them custom made in cute colors to match all your outfits.
You heard the front door open and close and you sighed. You silently prayed it was your dad, even though you knew he was in fucking Ireland, maybe he'd come home early. You were still upset with Rafe and not ready to deal with him.
But of course, Rafe Cameron walks into your room. His eyes were bloodshot, as were yours. The tension hung thick in the air.
"I'm gonna go..." Courtney announced. She placed the knife on your bed and slipped out past Rafe. "Call me later!"
You and Rafe stared at eachother for a moment. Accepting the fact you were both absolutely zooted.
"Thought you were done with coke?" Rafe said, taking a few steps towards your bed.
"Stupid girls do stupid things," You said sadly.
"Y/N, I didn't mean that." He sighed, sitting on the edge of your bed. "I was just upset. Scared. The thought of someone hurting you..."
You sit up and meet his gaze.
"Look, I know you were just trying to protect me. I love you for that. But if I was the reason something happened to you..."
"Rafe," You began. "I feel the same way about you. But I need you to know that I will always protect you. I'd die for you."
"I don't want to live without you..." His voice breaks as he says it.
"So don't..." You say as you inch towards him. "We die together."
Rafe looks up at you. "What do you mean?"
"Like Romeo and Juliet. You die, I'm coming with. I die, you follow me."
Rafe smiles at your words. "That sounds like a fucking deal to me," He says, leaning in and kissing you.
"I want my name on your skin," You breathe.
"I want mine on yours. You're mine, til death do us part."

➴ warnings: mention of a restrictive diet, constipation.
➴ word count: 1.7k
➴ author’s note: this was supposed to be a cute, hurt/comfort chapter but. i listened to madison beer while writing this so things took a turn and now it’s just depressing. at least there’s still some hurt/comfort here :,)
౨ৎ
2017, SEPTEMBER.
YOU were having the worst day ever.
It was a Friday, and one of those days where anything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong. First, you woke up at half-past five with a fever that made your entire body shiver. Your pajama was glued to your body, sticky with sweat. You sat on the bed, immediately regretting it because your head started spinning and suddenly you needed to throw up everything you’d eaten for dinner last night.
You felt like shit even when you managed to shower, sitting on your bathtub and letting the tears fall from your face. You felt so tired. It had already been a very stressful week, with your Mom forcing you to attend castings and auditions, making calls here and there so you could get the jobs she wanted for you, controlling everything you ate and drank.
On top of all of that, Peter and Quinn were leaving for college and you were sure you had never felt so alone before.
Quinn became your favorite person in the entire world when you both met four years ago. He was so important to you, and even though sometimes your heart didn’t understand what exact feelings you had for him, you needed him in your life.
The friendship you’d built over the past four years meant the world to you. How he took care of you, and how he tried to balance his career with still trying to be present in your life. How he would always ask about how you were doing in school, or about your dreams and wants. How he had introduced you to his family and how Jim and Ellen were nice to you, letting you come over to do your homework with Jack or Luke.
How sometimes you’d find Quinn practicing in their homemade ice rink, and you’d watch him for hours, impressed by his moves and skills. How sometimes you’d notice his hair falling out of the helmet, the sweat decorating his face and his blue, greenish eyes that would stare at nothing but the puck.
So when you found out he was leaving for Michigan? It hurt more than anything else, even if you were extremely happy for him.
You got out of the shower, feeling your body hurt everywhere. You were thankful that your classes didn’t start until next week and you didn’t have any auditions today so you could just jump right back in your bed.
Which was exactly what you did, sleeping like the dead after letting your tears fall for a bit more.
You woke up a few hours later, with a soft touch on your arm. Opening your eyes and immediately feeling them getting wet, you saw Quinn standing beside your bed.
“Hey there, sleepyhead,” he said, smiling. “Maria let me in. You didn’t come say goodbye to me.”
Your sick, tired brain took a little while to process what he was saying. Until you looked at the digital clock that sat on your bedside table, reading 11:34 a.m., Friday, 6 September.
Fuck.
You tried to get up, but your body still felt heavy. You were still shivering underneath the covers and your throat hurt.
“Maddie?” You could see he had stopped smiling.
You tried to smile, feeling the need to reassure him. “I’m sorry. I forgot to set an alarm,” you lied, trying to get up again and, thankfully, succeeding this time. “I’ll be downstairs in just a minute. Sorry.”
Getting up didn’t exactly mean success, since your legs failed after five steps and now you were on the floor, with your knee hurting like a bitch.
“Maddie, what,” Quinn said, quickly coming to your rescue, like he often did. You had a headache? Quinn had the right medicine for it. You hurt your finger? Quinn wrapped your hand with a bandage. You were hungry? Quinn was already in the kitchen making your meal. “What’s going on? Are you sick?”
“No, just— I just woke up.” You didn’t know why you kept lying to him and you felt like shit, but it was his leaving day. The Hughes were moving back to the US, so that Jack and Luke could join the NTDP in Michigan and Quinn could go to UMich. And it couldn’t get worse, not really. “I’m fine.”
“I can tell when you’re lying, Madison,” he hissed, angrily. You frowned. Quinn had never gotten angry at you, not even when you managed to ruin his hockey uniform with glitter. “You’re sick. Did you eat?”
“Yeah,” you mumbled, as he walked you to bed again. “I am fine, Quinn. It’s just constipation or whatever.”
“Stop acting like this is nothing, Madison.”
“Stop calling me that,” you frowned, annoyed for no real reason. You were going to miss them so much.
“It’s your name, isn’t it?” He raised his eyebrow.
“Why are you being so mean?” You whispered, feeling your eyes tearing up again, the fever making you shiver.
He stopped scowling for a second, softening his eyes at you. He sat beside you, placing his hand on your thigh, which you promptly grabbed. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t trying to be mean. It’s just— I hate when you act like what happens to you isn’t important.”
You squeeze his hand, feeling less cold now.
“You’re like my little sister, so watching you sick is just as upsetting as it is with Lukey or Jack,” he chuckled, laughing like he hadn’t just shattered your feelings right there.
You didn’t know exactly what you felt for him, but you knew for a fact it wasn’t that silly admiration you had for him when you were little. You were fifteen now, and just when you were supposed to crush on the boys at your school, you were always comparing them to Quinn instead. And Quinn is always better than them.
Not to mention that he’d been getting cuter. He was losing his teenager features and it didn’t help it with your little infatuation for him.
Hearing him confirming that you were nothing but a family member to him stung. This was definitely the worst day of your life.
“Right,” you whispered, releasing his hand and wrapping your arms around your body. “I don’t think I’ll be able to go downstairs and say bye to you all. I’m sorry for that.”
“We’re only leaving at night so don’t worry. We’ll make sure you’re feeling better until then.” He replied, getting up.
“Where are you going?” You asked, confusion taking over your face.
“I’m gonna ask Maria to make some soup for you while I go look for some cold medicine,” he put his hands inside his jeans pockets, something he did often, and smiled at you. “Do you think you’ll be fine here for ten minutes?”
You nodded, watching as he poked your cheek before leaving your room.
You laid down for a while, trying to organize your thoughts. You still didn’t understand what the Hughes leaving meant to you, only that you’d miss them like they were your own. Because for a while, that’s what they were.
You must have snoozed again because next thing you know, Quinn was shaking you lightly again. You opened your eyes, staring at him.
“Maria made you chicken noodle soup and I brought you juice and pills,” he pointed at the tray on your desk, smiling.
You got up, sitting up against the headboard, and thanking him as he placed the tray on your lap.
“Mom would probably kill me if she knew I’m eating noodles,” you joked, coughing loudly. Ugh.
“I won’t tell her a thing, promise,” he quickly said, sitting on the chair beside your desk, resting his hands on his knees, as he watched you eat. “Can’t believe we’re actually leaving.”
You chuckled. “Yeah.”
“You will come to visit us, right?”
You placed your spoon inside your bowl again, staring at Quinn’s face, trying to memorize all of his features at once. His upper lip, slightly thinner than his bottom one. His wavy, brown hair, messy and untamed, so beautifully shaped. His eyes, darker than Luke and Jack’s, but still bright and vibrant. His nose, big and cute and your favorite feature on his face.
Oh, you were going to miss him so much.
“‘Course I will,” you mumbled, shoving the last spoonful of soup into your mouth. Lying to Quinn always felt wrong. “I’m… I’m gonna miss you,” His eyes softened, and before he could speak, you continued. “You made my life so much easier. You and your family are so important to me so thank you.” You felt your eyes watering, and you looked up. No crying in front of anyone.
“Oh, Maddie,” he got up, removing the tray from your lap and putting it back on your desk, so he could sit beside you. “There’s no need for tears.”
You tried to give him a reassuring smile and tell him you’re okay but you only managed to let more tears fall from your eyes.
He placed your head on his shoulder, pulling the blanket until it reached your chin, covering you completely. Then, he gently grabbed your hand underneath and held it tightly.
“I’ll be only an one hour flight away, Maddie. Our house is your house too.”
You sniffled, feeling your body starting to hurt again.
You wanted to tell him that you didn’t want him to leave, that you needed him in your life and that you loved him. A young, unripe love that made your chest hurt every time you thought about it.
But you knew that you were just being selfish. Ever since you met him, you knew Hockey was his life. It is his favorite thing in the world, and it means a lot to them.
So you would never tell him anything. No. At least one of you deserved to be happy.
“I know,” you mumbled. “Can I take a nap?”
He chuckled beside you. “Yeah, ‘course. Not before you take your medicine though.”
You rolled your eyes, hiding the rest of your face under the cover, hearing Quinn’s soft laugh.
Little did you know you’d keep that sound safe and secure in your heart, for the rest of your life.

Cheating Death Part 4 - End
Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3
Epilogue
Finally, after weeks under intensive medical care, she was cleared to go home. Her recovery was far from over. Lena didn't look forward to the intense physical and occupational therapy in store, but at least she could rest in a more comfortable space. Have a bit more freedom.
Alex had insisted on taking her home, though Kara had walked with them until she received a Supergirl call. Lena understood now why Kara randomly took off, and with that understanding came a slow acceptance.
The door swung open at the press of her thumb against the keypad. Alex pushed her wheelchair, and shut the door with her foot behind them. They made it almost to the sofa when the shouts erupted around them.
"Surprise!"
Lena nearly fell out of her chair at the sudden noise. People leaped out from behind the sofa, tumbled out of the kitchen, and poured in from the hallway. They were all there: Kara, Brainy, Nia, J'onn, Kelly, and even Sam and Ruby.
"Welcome home!" Alex said with a grin, meaning she was in on this too.
Lena had no idea what to make of this. She'd never had a surprise... anything before in her life. "Um, thanks?"
Ruby nearly bounded into Lena's lap with her fervent hug. "I'm so glad you're home! We were so worried when we found out." She pulled back with a teary smile. "You gotta stop almost dying on us. Because we need you here, you're family, and Mom and I sort of just got here today, so all I have is this card." She handed it over and put her hands behind her back.
Lena opened it to the words, "We love you. Please try not to die again. Or we'll drag your sorry ass back to the world of the living." The asterisk after 'ass' had a note at the bottom that read, "Ruby was allowed this one curseword in honor of you."
Lena smiled and ran her fingers over the handwriting, some of it Ruby's and some Sam. Why they bothered, she didn't know, considering how she'd ghosted them. She took a deep breath to try to stop the urge to cry. "Thank you, Ruby. I love you both too."
Sam walked up behind her daughter and smiled, her eyes glistening. "Kid has a point." She leaned forward and gave her a half hug, planting a kiss on the side of her head. "I'm glad to see you up. We've been so worried."
She handed Lena what looked like a phone at first glance, until she saw the hinge. Opening it revealed a note that read: "Answer your phone! <3 xxxoo Sam." Under it was one of her guilty pleasures, a very specific hard candy only sold in Ireland.
"Sam..." Lena didn't know what to say. She wiped away tears, frustrated with herself. Since her near death and disablement, she'd become a weepy fool. "Thank you. I'll be better about staying in touch. I promise."
As the others moved forward, one at a time to greet her and welcome her home, Lena found herself smiling and dissolving into tears yet again. She wasn't used to this much care, and it still felt unreal. Like the shoe could drop at any moment, and yet it didn't.
Alex had continued to care for her, Kara and the others had continued to visit, and now that Lena was cleared to rest at home? Here they all were being the sappiest people she'd ever met.
"Make sure you kiss your beefcake," Nia whispered as she dropped a box of chocolates on Lena's lap. "She set this up, and I kind of have money on the line, so give a girl some help?"
Lena laughed, but she couldn't stop herself from sneaking a look at Kara who stood, swaying back and forth on her heels, as she waited impatiently. "Sure, Nia."
Alex gave her a backpack of all things. "Hey, don't give me that look," the director said with a cluck of her tongue. "Think of all the science-y things you can stuff in this thing and loop onto your wheelchair. Nothing will stop you now."
She lightly swatted Alex's arm. "Maybe if I was five, but really, thank you." At least the bag was black, so it matched the chair's coloration.
Kelly's gift was perhaps the most useful. A tool to grab things from afar. Lena immediately snapped it in Alex's direction, who danced out of reach with a scowl. "It's perfect," she said with a grin.
"I know you have a long recovery in store," Brainy said with a bow of his head. "But I will give you access to my favorite..." he glanced at Nia, "... toys as Nia calls them." He held out a small, palm-sized square. "Press your thumb and a holographic interface, encrypted for our communication and projects, will appear."
Lena couldn't resist. She pressed her thumb, and the interface swirled around her, filled with all sorts of delicious programs. "Holy shit, Brainy. Thank you. This is a delight." She pressed her thumb again, and it vanished.
J'onn stepped forward and bowed his head. "I wish to apologize for my actions in not bringing you in sooner. You've always been one of the best of us, and so I offer you the aid of my community. We have had many soldiers wounded in battle, and I will gladly aid in your recovery. So that you may find the mobility that fits your needs."
Lena studied the stoic man and thought back to something Kara had said to her. "You're a good swordfighter?" When he nodded, she smiled. "I was nearly an Olympic fencer. That's my goal. To recover enough to challenge you to a duel."
He bowed to her. "I accept."
Kara came last, of course. "Hey you." She knelt and wrapped Lena in a tight hug. Lena leaned her head against Kara's shoulder and breathed in her usual vanilla scent.
The pain hadn't full healed between them, but they were taking little steps. And with each one, Lena settled into the reality that Kara wasn't some omnipotent do-no-wrong-god, but a trauma-filled, messy alien who feared loss almost as much as Lena did.
That's one thing the past few weeks in Alex's medical ward taught her: perfection didn't exist, and that's okay. It was okay to be imperfect. She'd still be loved for who she was, even despite her sometimes bratty, petty nature.
Kara pulled back and kissed Lena's forehead. "I made this." She handed her a cylinder with lines and dots on all sides. "It's a puzzle box like what my father made. Give you something to do as you heal."
"Kara," she leaned her head against Kara's shoulder. "God, I love you so much," she whispered. "Thank you."
"I love you too." Kara carded her fingers through her hair. Lena gladly took the brief moment to recalibrate herself for more people interaction. Alex's words hovered in her head, "I need you to recognize your limits."
She took stock of her pain, her emotional bandwidth, and decided she could handle an hour. Then she'll ask to go to the bedroom. Plan in place, she pulled back from Kara with a smile.
She blinked away her tears. "Thanks to all of you. Now, I'd like to sit down on the sofa, if you don't mind?"
Kara chuckled and gently scooped Lena into a bridal carry. Her face flushed, likely as pink as her own. "As you wish, milady."
Alex groaned at that while Nia cackled.
Settled on the sofa, Lena leaned back into the cushions in relief. Fatigue plagued her still, and the pain simmered despite the pain meds. Still, she was much improved than a week ago. This ordeal had taught her that even small steps were worthy victories.
"So you ready for cake? Because all welcome home parties need cake." Kara practically hopped from foot to foot.
"Sure, Supergirl," Lena drawled. "Better fly me the best."
"Oh, you betcha. Straight from Belgium." Kara sounded quite proud of herself.
"Kara..." Alex pressed her palm against her face.
"Supergirl?" Sam echoed, her eyebrows raised.
"Wait a second," Kelly looked around, surprised. "Kara is Supergirl???"
Well, it was nice to know she wasn't the last one told after all.
***
Six months later
Lena gripped the bars, most of her weight on her arms. Her legs trembled beneath her, her right foot turned slightly to the left. Kara stood at the other end of the torture session with a grin. "Come on, Lena, you can do this."
"Oh shut up." Lena growled, but there was no heat in her words, only a deep affection. She carefully took a step, and her leg held. A tingling sizzled up her leg muscles, but she didn't crumple. Slowly, she lifted and plopped her other foot down. That one proved weaker than the other, so she leaned into the bars more.
"Remember to breathe." Her physical therapist stood behind her ready to catch if she fell.
She took a deep breath and managed another step. The rhythm of walking felt strange, like a foreign language she'd forgotten after months of using a wheelchair.
Since the attack, she'd kept a low profile. Sam returned as temporary CEO, and Alex proved to be just as protective of her as she was of Kara. Nia's article of the attack won the public's favor for Lena, which had been a nice, short boost for L-Corp.
So she slowly made her way down the bars, each step mores stable than the last. Her muscles screamed at the effort, but she pushed forward, determined.
Kara, as always, lived up to her promise and stayed at her side. Assisted her lab work. Accepted with grace the occasional microscope she threw at her head. Since becoming an independent writer and science consultant, Kara spent more and more time at her penthouse, and it had started to fill up with knickknacks, paintings by Kara, Kara's clothes randomly strewn over chairs, and a kitchen full of enough food for a hungry Kryptonian.
Lena knew she wasn't always the best partner. Sometimes Kara and her fought bitterly, but they'd learned to come together and talk it out. To share space for one another's feelings. To tentatively explore what being together really looked like.
All a step at a time.
Her trek reached the end of the bars, and there Kara stood, her arms out stretched.
"You did it! I told you so," Kara said with a delighted laugh.
Lena leaned forward and let herself fall into Kara's embrace. She looked up and smiled at her lovable dork. "I suppose I owe you that ice cream, my love," she said, wryly.
Kara nodded and brushed her nose against Lena's. "You sure do."
Lena placed her hand on Kara's cheek and kissed her lips. As she pulled back, she smiled at the goofy dazed expression Kara always wore when Lena sneaked a kiss.
"I'll make it two, for being such a good motivator." Behind her the physical therapist cleared her throat. Lena chuckled and for the first time in her life, she actually felt happy.
She'd cheated death yet again and won a girlfriend from it. Quite the bargain when all was said and done.

How to always look neat
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ─
THIS IS ALL IN THE DETAILS. When I say neat, I mean if you are late and you still wanna look good, without many effort.
Iron your clothes. You have to do it. Sometimes it's exhausting but this looks so good once you did it. Especially if you wear blouses ! Iron clothes look cleannnnn
Next hair. It's all about you. Make sure to take care of them, no matter which texture you have. Caucasian, natural, long, short...Hair is an essential part. Make sure to know which hairstyle is good for your face too.
Teeth / breath: when you talk this the first thing that we notice. Have a good smell, use a good toothpaste and a good toothbrush. It is recommended to change your toothbrush (classic) every 3 months.
-> Moreover, if you smell bad from the mouth nobody is gonna tell you lol.
Your face. Especially your eyes and mouth. Keep a lip balm or a gloss in your bag. I really like gloss. Also mascara can make a huge difference, even if you wear nothing on. If you wanna put some makeup, make sure it is the good undertone.
There are many undertones no matter what your skin color is. You're not necessary warm if you are black for exemple. I struggled a lot with that to find out that I'm a neutral. So take your time to know that. It's gonna look so smooth after, like your skin.
-> How can I not say the brows. It is what structure your face.
Nails. It's all about you #2. I think that nails represent our personality. I really like dark red WITH an almond shape. For now, I make my nails grow because I can't with fake anymore. It means that there is only a strengthener. Keep them clean even when there is nothing on. Accessoiries. Necklace, belts, earrings, bag, you already know this part
Last but not least PERFUME. Now the perfume is the icing on the cake. It has to be a blend with your outfit
-> For an office siren look, you're not going to wear something floral. Something more woody/strong would be good. If you wear a pink dress with ribbon, you're gonna wear something more feminine. I think that many people don't understand that
+ note expert: I highly recommend you to find your signature scent. Something that represent YOU, that you can wear everyday. Go at Sephora and smell everything. Then find what you like (especially notes) and write them. Here is three perfume that me, the antagonist would recommend
Scandal - La belle Intense. INTENSE. People always forget the INTENSE when I tell them. Every time I get compliments from men and women (and this is not my signature scent by the way). Trust me one this one, if you like gourmand, vanilla perfume. Perfect for winter
Maison Margiela Collection- I really like on a date for this autumn, very woody. This collection is amazing
Acqua di gioia - if you like smelling like laundry this is SAME smell. Very fresh.
I can talk about perfumes everyday so maybe I would make a post with outfit that I like with the perfect perfume . (I have a good style I promise you)
I really like vanilla, woody, strong perfume. I am more in the gourmand, sweet side. I don't like floral perfume.
-> I think I would make a post about perfume that I like in each perfumes family. I have a huge notion table with my harsh perfume opinions 😭

I just want to talk about Caleb's relationship with MC a bit
For context: I am Chinese by blood. I wasn't born in China but was still raised by my family with Chinese traditions, so take from this post what you will. If you disagree with this post and want to argue, do me a favour and just block me
People in the western fandoms are always so loud about how Caleb/MC is "basically incest". She calls him big brother in all the other dubs except English, meaning all the Asian languages. They grew up together so they may as well be blood siblings
Let me tell you why this take is fucking stupid
First and foremost, it's normal in many Asian cultures to call men of a certain age or men with a certain familiarity to you "big brother". I grew up calling my older male cousins and family friends "big brothers". This is not literal. There is no connotation of them being my brothers by blood.
It's the same concept of calling my mom's friend or my dad's second cousin "auntie" or "uncle". It's a term of respect and familiarity
Secondly, even though this takes place in the future, this *Fictional story* was written to be relatable to adults in China. Meaning, people who were born prior to the One Child Policy being lifted in 2015.
Their target audience can't relate to having blood siblings, but they can relate to an older male friend who acts protective of you. This is what Caleb is to MC: a protective older male friend
Third, they were orphans. Grandma never had children so Caleb is not related to her, making him an orphan just like MC. Living together with Grandma is basically just them in another orphanage.
Would you consider all kids living in the same orphanage having the same kind of connection as blood siblings? Absolutely not. They don't see each other as blood family. They are just two kids who were taken in by the same woman after they lost their families
If you are pushing your cultural views on a game from a different culture than you and lambasting it as disgusting, then you should reevaluate how you interact with fiction
Caleb's main issue is getting over the "best friends" boundary with MC. He was always there to protect her when no one else was. He saw her as another orphan like him, and decided to step up and protect her. He was always going to be by her side. They were always going to be friends forever. But now he wants more. And that's his dilemma.
