snippet of the vampire fic i’m writing
ft. jing yuan and gender neutral reader (female anatomy).
tw: smut, exhibitionism/voyeurism (threats of it), blood… possessive!! vampirism (obvs)
Tumblr media
“You’re distracted; you know i don’t appreciate it.” He bites down on your thigh, fangs sinking into the tender flesh. You might be out of blood to give at this point.
You know he found his prize when his claws dig into your legs, black dots swirling in your vision.
“spiders. on ceiling…” your tongue feels thick, and your brain is mush.
Jing Yuan laughs, his head burrowing into your neck “Like in that immerisa you like? With the turnip head?” He thrusts in deeper, slick covering your thighs and bottom with every move of his.
“You’re so pretty, I just want to eat you up. Keep you here for myself, maybe parade your mauled body around so no one else will even think your name.” His voice thickens. How he wants to covet you; own you wholly until you stop fretting over the future (why should you worry? Can’t you see that your future is here, with him? In your shared home? What more is there for you to desire when he is willing to provide you with everything and more with his salary).
You paw at his chest, biting down on your lip (now bloodied and sore). Jing Yuan however, does not like that. He folds you in half (your knees up to your chest, and his body curled over yours) and presses his lips against yours. Its a mess of teeth—

You know the “Dad, How Do I?” YouTube channel? Yeah, that, but with Red Hood, and they’re unlisted videos that Crime Alley residents share with each other.
It started with goons stealthily taking videos of Red Hood ranting about shitty drug quality that they upload under the title “Boss on drug quality control,” primarily for other goons so that anyone can tell if the supplies have been cut with something and don’t need to waste time asking Hood.
Then videos from civilians start popping up too, featuring Red Hood lecturing street kids titled things like “RH on staying warm in winter” and “RH on how not to get mugged.”
Memorably, there’s a video titled “RH on classic literature (y’all did RH go to college???? Is our crime lord a lit major???)” where Red Hood imparts upon some kids the importance of reading. After a very positive reception, the uploader goes back to Red Hood, asks about a book they’re reading for school, and gets a whole lecture on themes and whatnot. It does numbers and becomes a series, and this time Hood knows the camera exists (he’s always known they exist, he just couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge them) and actually talks to it.
(Jason will do anything to help these children, whether it’s giving them a leg up in school, giving the street kids who aren’t in school some semblance of an education, or teaching them how to shank someone trying to traffic them.)
Red Hood never uploads any videos himself, but it doesn’t matter. Crime Alley crowd sourced its own version of Khan academy and it’s better for it.

to make up for my last post, here’s what i think the invincible characters would do as content creators
mark grayson/invincible: comic book channel who analyzes and breaks down different in-world comics, particularly seance dog. very critical. has those really dumb cheesy thumbnails of his jaw hanging while he points at the new issue in blatant shock. is on youtube. think star wars theory but with less alt-right pipeline bs. has a somewhat decent following
nolan grayson/omniman: this motherfucker hates social media and thinks it is one of the most moronic things to come out of humanity. has a twitter account to post about his books, only follows his wife and son (maybe his publisher) but doesn’t like mark’s tweets bc they’re mostly complaining, flaming, or talking about comic books (average male teen activities)
debbie grayson: house hunters for superheroes, or maybe closer to selling sunset with the entire company? could sell you a house with two murder victims on the floor ten feet away from you. if it’s something like selling sunset, she’s definitely the most popular with the fans because she’s super humble, competent, and shockingly compassionate on the camera. has a couple superfans who are largely middle-aged men and the occasional teenage girl (she has to manually block them on nolan’s phone; i imagine he’s not insecure but maybe a bit possessive)
amber bennett: probably runs a tiktok account on social justice topics. might have a tumblr or some other online blog where she breaks down current events and shares petitions for world betterment. anything but performative, frequently starts or attends protests for various causes. insanely well-spoken, lots of posts about her work at the soup kitchen, and you just know she donates money to everyone who pops up on her feed. such a good person it almost makes you feel like you’re not doing enough (and that’s lowkey the point).
eve wilkins/atom eve: science tutoring on youtube. faceless, think like khan academy, but has voiceovers. covers simple to super advanced stuff in a very understandable format that made her super popular. its some shit like “atomswitheve,” and it’s wildly popular but she literally never talks about it #humblequeen. while she and rex were dating, she let him edit a video and came back to like six explosions superimposed over chemical formulas.
the immortal: fucking history channel but it’s all about things he’s actually experienced, but nobody fucking believes him. voiceovers a slideshow of images. incredibly boring, comments are full of people saying “source” and he replies “I was there.” but again… no one believes him. a couple college professors cite his videos for historical inaccuracy — and they are inaccurate because immortal has an ego, but his content is actually closer than other firsthand accounts because he survived most of the stuff (and remembers it well).
oliver grayson: debbie screens his online time so he doesn’t go all ultron (we all know this motherfucker has little care for human life). mostly posts skating stuff or gaming clips that aren’t particularly good. does not get much traction but mark is always in his comments hyping him up, but he’s always wrong about what tricks oliver performs; it’s become a habit for oliver to march up to mark and say “this was actually a nollie inward heelflip you MORON”
rex splode: runs his own fan account that has like 7 posts of the druski dance with himself and captions like “yes i’m rex splode, yes i’m the best guardian, yes i bagged atom eve, yes i can defeat omni man, did i mention i can defeat omni man?” relatively popular. does tiktok live reactions of WWE fights — since he’s not wearing his costume, no one knows who he is — or anything else that his viewers submit. got cancelled twice but nobody seems to care, least of all him.
shrinking rae: runs a youtube account that is like… emulating one of those “day in the life of a [insert occupation] student” videos where she just kind of pretends to be normal. also makes cooking videos, videos about cleaning her apartment, self-care tips and tricks for young women (can’t imagine she got a lot of advice from her gung-ho superhero parents), and study habits for struggling college students. she kind of pretends to be who she wants to be irl.
kate cha: lowkey a music producer, since all her clones just play different instruments or harmonize with each other. she doesn’t get a lot of chances to do it with her hero work, but releases nothing but bangers when she can. featured rex yelling at her for cheating on him as an intro for one of her songs (like that one guy on tiktok) and it blew up. has a lot of songs about death, which most think is odd (important to remember she’s died a lot).
cecil stedman: does NOT post on social media and i can’t think of a world where he would. but if he did, it’s probably just a fake bot account that reposts pro-government propaganda. “more funding for the GDA” “cecil was right” “lets double the US defense budget” he’s the kind of guy to like everything on his fyp just to throw off the algorithm.
i do have more but this post is getting too long for most people’s (including me) low attention spans. will do a part 2 with requested characters if this is well-received

getting into school of choice + getting a perfect PSAT score success story⋆.ೃ࿔*:・📔🎀
Tumblr media
i was asked to make this post via inbox so if ur the anon who asked for this success story then here you go 🫶🏽💗
SCHOOL OF CHOICE ;
so ever since the pandemic i had been on online school, and the pandemic happened when i was in sixth grade and i stayed online till eighth grade. i moved states and was ready to be back in person for 9th grade, but i HATED the school i was at.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i felt like it didn't challenge me at all, the uniforms were ugly and i felt like i couldn't make it work and all in all it just wasn't a good fit for me. so me and my mom started looking for other schools. there is this school that i wanted to go to, its a blue ribbon school, i loved the uniforms and the programs that they offered aligned with me and my goals so i really wanted to go there.
the only problem was that it is WILDLY expensive. like diabolically expensive. and i knew that at the time my parents wouldn't be able to afford it. but i disregarded that and just affirmed "oh im so happy i got accepted into this school" (they have an entrance exam cuz u have to qualify to get in) i would just affirm affirm affirm.
two weeks after we got an email that i passed the entrance exam and that they would be willing to work with my parents on the payment method but i could go and buy a uniform cuz i was in 💕
PSAT SCORE ;
this one was more recent, we took PSATS in october but i just decided that i got a perfect score, i listened to some subliminals. i did study for the PSAT but nothing crazy. just 1-3 hrs a day and some khan academy. again i'd just tell myself that its already done, i got have a perfect score etc and i did get a perfect score despite falling asleep in the testing room twice 🕊️

Now that BvZ6 is FINALLY out…I am pleased to announce the halfway mark for Gen 3!
We have 3 eps left for Pandora and Birds of Valhalla and 6 eps left for Bastards vs Zombies! With all that out there, I'm sure a few of you are wondering what Gen 4 is looking like!
Originally, the plan was for Gen 4 to have 3 series, like this gen. Each one with a recognizable face from prior gens, barring Gen 1.
However, this has proved to be a source adding to my burnout in previous instances, being constantly stuck in 3 or 4 voices constantly. So, I've changed things up a bit! Instead for Gen 4, I'll be doing 6 series! First will be a new series with brand new characters, then I'll go back to a classic after that one is done and I'll continue that pattern until completion!
On paper, it sounds like I'm giving myself more work, and I might be, but remember that I'm not giving myself any time limit on this. Each series is ultimately its own thing and I'll be working on them all at my own pace.
Here's the order of things and series descriptions. (Some of these are working titles)
Gladiator Azul - 8 combatants, (me and 7 other VAs) will compete in a 1v1 tournament to the death in order to be granted a wish. The location is the planet Palta, which is a location a few of my lore nerds will pick up on~ The best part about this story, is that it's a complete mystery, even to me, who's going to win! It's completely decided by chance, but a chance influenced by the viewers through cryptic clues~
Magic of the Heart 2: Curse of Khan (This was Blind Snake. I didn't like the name) - You are a Lamia, the remnants of the Snake Titan's soul. You've been brought into this world by your beloved lord, Nosferatu. One day, he tasks you to become a double agent by staging an escape for you and a captured wizard that you might be quite familiar with. When you and Zed "escape" from Nosferatu, you must make a decision, betray Nosferatu, or betray Zed…
Dragonslayers - You are the squire to the most esteemed Knight under the Paladin King. The Knight Grand Champion, Sirius Gearfried. You've gone on adventures together for 5 years now and you're about to go on your biggest one yet! The Paladin King has tasked his most trusted knight with gathering up the strongest warriors from across the realm for a dangerous mission into the unknown reaches of Dragonspace!
Loki and the War of Sinn - More will be talked about this at a later date, but before you ask, yes it's gonna have Odin and Tyr. And yes, you will be Loki.
Alchemical Strawberry Cheesecake - We now go BACK to Manas for a bit of magical melodrama! You are entered into a cooking competition at Saurethol Academy! You're partnered up with a boy named Vemmy, who thought this extra-curricular would be an easy A. Now, he's in a high-stakes contest, travelling to different schools all over the world and is VERY in over his head…
Bastards vs Monsters - A couple of years have gone by. The threats have gotten more dangerous, but so have you.

— ft. kuroo tetsurou
includes: a cute lil impromptu study date
Tumblr media
it’s april and we all know what that means, finals season. right now it’s just you, your laptop, numerous papers and notebooks, and an iced matcha latte enveloping you in the cozy cafe atmosphere. you’re trying study for your calculus test tomorrow and you’re pretty focused, for the most part.
about ten minutes ago you glance up from your studies where you notice a familiar face across the cafe, kuroo tetsurou. while you’re decently close with your classmate and you’ve made conversation with him numerous times, you figured both of you are too busy with your work for you to approach him right now. however you can’t seem to get the striking captain out of your head. you’ve always had an admiration for him but some would say it’s more like a crush… so after a solid 15 minutes of pretending to do work and pondering what to do, you finally decide to maybe shoot him a text!
y/n: hey am i tripping or is there an obnoxious volleyball player studying across from me?
kuroo: obnoxious is a strong word 😒 u also studying for the calc test? 😭
y/n: kind of …. not doin too hot rn
kuroo: oh well you’re in luck then
and just like that you glance up from your screen and notice him begin to gather his things and make his way towards you. the middle blocker plops himself down on a seat next to you and begins unpacking his bag. “don’t worry princess im here to save you from your calc demons.” your flutters a little at the sudden nickname, but you keep your composure with a quick retort “ok woah im not doing THAT bad.” “then why is your study guide blank?” damn, he got you there. “whatever you gonna help me or what?” since he’s a man of his word he opens his notebook helping you review what you’ve learned these past classes, and working you through each problem better than khan academy ever could. he’s concise but sweet, making sure to comfort you every time you’re overwhelmed or not sure how to solve a problem. you’ve never seen this side of him, you’re used to dealing with his cockiness and sarcasm and this caring demeanor is something new to you.
but just like that an hour and a half has gone by and you’ve both successfully gotten through all your homework! where did all the time go? you wondered to yourself. embarrassingly, you’re kind of upset that you’re study sesh has come to an end. you’ve always wanted to go out with kuroo outside of class, and this is the closest you’re ever gonna get to that. “oh well all good things must come to an end” kuroo says, almost defeated you thank him for all his help while you start packing your things.
“actually wait before you go,” you stop what you’re doing to look up at him, wondering what he possibly need. surely he’s just gonna ask about something from class right? wrong. hes flustered. almost red even. scratching the back of his neck he finally looks at you and says “i really enjoyed hanging out with you, and i just wondered if you wanted to do this again sometime?” you’ve never seen him so nervous before, so you let out a small smile with a slightly confused look on your face. “what, like study?” your smile ends up giving him reassurance and just like that his confident demeanor is back. he grabs your hand and says “well that’d be a pretty boring date don’t ya think?” grinning before placing a chaste kiss on your hand.
you look down to try and hide the rosy blush that now plastered your face (too late he already saw it). flustered by his sudden advance you look up and match his confidence arrogance with your own. “alright then, but if i don’t get an A on this test im rejecting you”
“oh like that’s ever gonna happen” you roll your eyes, but he has a point.

GO BACK TO SCHOOL AS HER
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ACADEMICS
Try to recreate your ideal study routine before. Study any subject you want using that specific study routine that you can when school opens. This gives you enough time before school starts to make any adjustments needed.
Get a head start. If you do have access to your curriculum or syllabus, read or actively study content on those topics. If you don’t, you can usually search up your class and your state which shows what you’ll be learning.
Experiment with study methods + note-taking. For study methods, search up different ways to effectively study, and pick at least three that appeal to you. Then pick any topic you want, and use those methods to study that topic. See which one worked the best for you and which wasn’t.
For note-taking, search for some ways to take notes, and choose at least 3 that appeal to you. Then watch a video/lecture on any topic, and use those methods to take notes on it. See which ones that worked the best for you.
Create a planner or diary. Use it to keep track of your assessments, assignments due dates, events at school or any after-school activities. This planner would be just purely for school-related things.
I think a digital planner would work best with most students, but some traditional ones are equally as good. It’s up to you to choose how you want to plan your school life, but you need to have at least one planner.
Find a good study website/app. There are so many academic websites/apps out there that can aid you while studying, which are just at your fingertips.
I recommend Duolingo, Quizlet and Khan Academy. Of course, there are so many more out there so I encourage you to explore your options. Some websites are just dedicated to one subject.
Set SMART goals. Set academic goals that are achievable and realistic. Wanting all A’s or 100’s all the time is just way too unrealistic, and the pressure of wanting to reach the standard you set for yourself is just going to stress you out.
Wanting a certain award, or A’s in certain subjects allows you to allocate your focus properly and is within reach. While you should definitely strive for good grades, avoid getting caught up in the mind trap of trying to achieve ‘perfect’ grades.
Create a study place and ritual. Before school starts, choose a place anywhere in which you study regularly. Avoid having more than one, because having just one allows you to settle in and focus better.
If this place is in your house, ensure that the space around it is clean and free of anything that wouldn’t serve you while studying. Plus, you can put up some cute motivational quotes.
A study ritual is habits that you do before studying, that help you while studying. You can create your own of whatever things that help you to be more productive and focused.
HEALTH
Establish a sleep routine early. A week before school preferably, start waking up at the time you’d have to go to school and sleeping at your desired time. This is so that when school starts, you’re not feeling groggy while getting ready because you’ve already adjusted to the time.
Talking about sleep, ensure that you practice good sleep hygiene as quality sleep enhances brain performance and improves energy levels throughout the day.
Plan your meals at school. For us who have canteens or cafes near our schools, we tend to just eat whatever and we forget to nourish our bodies. You still can buy from them, but the night before, try to think about what you can eat for lunch the next day instead of impulsively buying.
Carrying small containers of fruits or vegetables to go with my canteen lunch is my favourite combination.
Carry a water bottle. I used to always forget to stay hydrated during school, so instead of drinking from fountains, I now prefer to carry around my water bottle from class to class.
Wear SPF.
Just having it sitting on my desk while I’m working, reminds me in my mind to drink water. Water also boosts brain performance!
Create a stress management plan. There are going to be times when you feel stressed, but we want to avoid stress impacting our academic performance and mental health.
Before school starts, plan what to do if you feel heavily stressed. This could be like a menu of things you can choose from or a step-by-step guide that you follow through. This plan should contain things that relax you, make you happy and distract you from stress.
Practice good posture. Once school starts, we sit at a desk all day, and most of us forget the proper way to sit while studying/working in class. This can lead to slumping or hunching on a chair, which encourages bad posture.
Remember throughout the day to practice good posture, if you can, put a little reminder on your device. Posture stretches before the school days also help.
Try to incorporate exercise into your schedule. Exercise is frequently neglected when we just have so much studying to do and we’re busy with other activities, but exercise is essential to leading a healthy lifestyle.
The good thing, is you don’t have to do it every day. Doing it 2-3x a week should be enough. Going on walks during lunch/recess, cycling to school or participating in gym are easy ways to incorporate during the school season.
Keep your bag lightweight. Carry the absolute essentials to school, having such a heavy bag can do a number on your back and also affect your posture. If you do have one, try to keep most things in your locker instead of bringing them to and from school.
Engage in social media mindfully. There are so many toxic studying accounts out there that encourage unrealistic expectations or offer harsh ‘motivation’ to students.
Please don’t interact with these types of accounts, even if they provide motivation to you, it is not sustainable at all.
SELF CARE
Choose your favourite way to take a break. Not just once a week, but always take breaks every day. If you want these breaks to be somewhat productive like reading a productivity book or exercising, then go ahead.
However, your breaks can also be ‘unproductive’. Play some games, go online shopping or just take a nap. One break is not better than the other, I just encourage you to take any kind of breaks you want daily.
Plan to engage in hobbies regularly. It is easy to neglect our passions and what brings us happiness when we’re focused on school. If you can, have a chunk of the day just purely for doing hobbies. It can be for 1 hour, 30 minutes or 10.
Or, join an afterschool club that focuses on that specific passion or hobby. Not only is it time for you to engage in the things you enjoy, you meet like-minded people who also enjoy it.
Try to plan things with friends and family. Before school, meet up with your friends or family and do things with them. Once school reopens, opportunities to hang out with your loved ones are scarce. So, do it now.
Create a no-hard productivity day. Plan a day in which you are doing the most minimal amount of productivity that you can. While you can include a few productive things, nothing that is mentally or physically exhausting is allowed on this day.
If you are way too much of a productive or goal-oriented person to spend one day of no hard productivity, create a catch-up day. Choose one day of the week that you focus on completing or doing anything that you didn’t do all the other days.
Keep a journal on you. Sometimes things happen during the school year, and it does cause conflicting or upsetting emotions within us. Creating the practice of journaling before school reopens is a good way for us to process our emotions and situations.
Carry a book you like in your bag or locker. When you finish all of your work in class, or you just want to take a break, you can read a good book. This is also a good alternative to spending your lunches and recesses when you’re not in a sociable mood.
Create a reward system. For example, if I study for x minutes, I can do x for myself. Or I can x grade, and I’ll get x. These don’t have to be big or extravagant rewards, but something simple like one episode of your favourite show can do.
MINDSET CHANGES
Practice a growth mindset. You are going to experience failure at least once (if not more) during your school career. You mustn’t take these experiences to heart, and instead, use them as lessons to encourage self-growth within you.
Practice this mindset now, so that when school reopens, you won’t have a problem with extracting lessons from failures.
Use comparison as a source of inspiration or motivation. It is easy to compare ourselves with our peers, as we are similar ages, but their skills can exceed ours. Instead of using up all of your energy to be envious of the, channel that energy into bettering yourself. Not to beat them, but to beat yourself.
View studying as a time to develop your skills. While yes, we do study to get good grades, studying can help us to grow our other skills as well. We build our discipline, focus and critical thinking as well.
So when you don’t get the best grade from an assessment or assignment, don’t beat yourself up and think all that studying was for nothing. You were building those skills, so next time, you can apply them when you have to study again.
Set firm boundaries with others and yourself. There are times when you just have to say, I have to study. Not just to others, but to yourself. Practice these boundaries before school when it comes to more general productivity.
There is no rejection, just redirection. Change your mindset that rejection is nonexistent, and there is only redirection. Incorporate it in your daily life like;
‘there’s no more stock left of my favourite product, there’s probably something better out there.’
That being said, I’m not saying that if there is a barrier to your goal, you just move on. However, you should not be chasing things that are not meant for you and shift your focus when necessary.
Detach when needed. Stop attaching your value or worth to things that are external and can easily be gone. This doesn’t have to apply to just grades, but also other situations.
Try to start reading or researching about detachment before school reopens.
Time is your most valuable resource, use it to invest wisely. Your teen years are going to be the most suitable time in your life to start investing in yourself.
You have fewer things to worry about(aside from grades) and you have a lot of opportunities now to explore the things that you want. Please, don't spend this time doomscrolling or any other time-wasting activity.

No one has ever come up with a justification for generative AI* that isn't flimsier than tissue paper.
I use it because I'm not very good a drawing/animating/whatever.
Practice makes perfect. Any skill worth having is worth working hard for.
I use it to find recipes for dinner.
Literally google it. Easy recipes. [Insert cuisine here] recipes. Buy a cookbook.
But I need it to tell me what I can make with the ingredients I already have.
That already exists. There are apps and websites that do that, if you could be bothered to look for them.
I need it for things I don't know how to make, like resumes.
Once again, google it. There are templates everywhere. Ask a friend for help.
Okay but I'm not very good with writing and grammar, so I need it to proofread for me.
Ask a friend to do it for you. Read it out loud to yourself. Have your computer read it back to you. Set it aside and come back a few hours later.
I need it to summarize course material for me so I can understand it better.
That's already out there. Spark Notes. Cliff Notes. Khan Academy. Get a friend to help you. Get a tutor. Ask your teacher. Use Reddit if you're desperate.
I only use it to write essays for classes that I don't need for my major. Colleges these days have too many bullshit requirements + I'm not even going to college. I'm going into a trade so I don't need to know classic lit or any of that nonsense.
That's just a skill issue. Sorry, except I'm not. I live and die by my skills alone. Yes, I do think I'm better than you, because I am.
Do you think children are taught animal sounds because they might need them for their careers? Of course you don't. It is tremendously important that people have a well-rounded knowledge of the world. You may think you don't need to know about classic lit or chemistry, but you are more than your job. You are a member of society. You are a voter, and may be a parent. History, art, literature, and science are very, very connected to politics right now, and it's important you understand those things. You need to understand how the world works.
You need to be capable of working even when you don't want to, and thinking through tough concepts. Your brain is like a muscle. If you've ever tried to do something after a long time and discovered that you can't remember how, then you know that, like a muscle, your knowledge will atrophy if you don't use it. If you refuse to sit down and think, even when it's inconvenient, you will lose the ability to do so.
Anyone who uses generative AI is making themself lazier and dumber. Don't do that. Have some self respect.
*I say generative AI because I am not again all AI on principle. There are some ways that it could, if done right, be very helpful. My beef if with the scrape-for-data-and-spit-it-back-out AI.

Just finished the Academy speech arc. EAP translations are only upto 226. Should I stop here and let the chapters pile again? Instead of reading an ongoing chapter and getting confused, like the final 100 chapters of part 1, I think I'd rather come back to it when the Aipotu arc is fully translated.
I did, however, massively enjoy the last twenty or so chapters. Compared to Xiaolen, the Central Plains arc was longer. It was also a little hard to immerse yourself into in the earlier parts. But things started looking up when Heavenly Demon was introduced. From there right up until the defeat of Blood Demon and dealing with the formation and Tsunami, was so engaging.
The Dragon's Tear part was one of my favourites in the Central Plains arc aside from the two Tsunamis. Right from the point Cale and Choi Jung Soo went in and Lee Soo Hyuk and everyone let them be like give two lovers space was hilarious. The dead dragon Maxillienne and the info we got about Aipotu. Cale's Sky Eating Water getting an upgrade of 300%+ and getting three new attacks, as if she wasn't already the strongest of all of his ancient powers. The crown got an upgrade and we finally get the crown that was on the cover of part 2.
Xiaolen gave us the Fire of Destruction at 2500%. That was so iconic. It was a shorter arc in comparison but it gave us something absolutely unforgettable. Central Plains was lengthy and drawn-out at times but it gave us the Emperor of the Sea Kim Hae-il. I guess it's safe to say we came out of both with no regrets.
But from 200-211, these twelve chapters. They have all of my heart. Why?
Because
We are back in Roan! We're back home! It's been so long since we were last home! It was like a hundred and thirty chapters ago! We're reunited with family!
The children are so cute! Raon and Hong my cutie munchkins! Hong rushing out as soon as Cale and co arrived and him and Raon hugging and then spinning in circles. They really are just kids, no matter how vicious they are on the battlefield.
Lily is starting at the academy! And On will too once she decides which one she wants to go to! I wonder if she'll go to academy or end up deciding she's better off being home tutored like now. Regardless, I'm happy for them! (Hong and Lily are the same age, aren't they? I guess Hong will have to start thinking about it seriously soon too.)
Ahn Roh Man face reveal! And he looks like Alver! Except more of a nerd! (Cale's description not mine.) We ended up learning more of his backstory than about the Transparent bloods though. From what we've seen he seems cooperative and chill. But neither Cale nor Alver fully trust him yet. I hope he turns out to be an ally rather than an enemy.
Cale got scolded by his parents for having his head almost go boom boom! The parents are worried! It was hilarious that right after he told his siblings he'll have a chat with them regarding future counselling, Violan tells him he needs to get some life counselling from his parents first. And he felt so helpless that he thought dealing with the God of Balance was less scary sksksksk.
Cale threw Alver under the bus by having him play a video game, and in revenge Alver arranged for Cale to give a speech at the academy. Never piss off the crown prince of the country you yourself are a citizen of.
Him thinking back to the times he was invited to give speeches as Kim Rok Soo, I thought he'd have experience. But turns out all those times got cancelled due to something or another popping up, most often a monster attack. And it's suspicious as it is hilarious. Did that have something to do with the curse or is there more than meets the eye? Also, the way he just jinxed this speech by thinking about a possible terrorist attack. And it did happen afghhajekf
Alver and Sui Khan laughing their asses off at Cale walking up to the podium.
Right as we hypothesised the Five coloured bloods might be Wanderers, a wanderer shows up and warns Cale not to meddle more than he already has. Basically confirming the hypothesis.
The wanderer called Cale "child of the Thames". But was he talking about Cale Henituse or the soul within... I'm sorry I'm gonna be thinking about it A LOT.
Of course Cale pulled out his shield at a time of crisis and restored their faith in him. The arc is, after all, titled "Young Master Silver Shield, return of the legend"
Alver and Cale had a miscommunication and instead of stepping down and letting the crown prince handle it, Cale ended up saying something that gave both of them headaches.
Actually the whole time he was at the podium was legendary. "Nice to meet you" followed by "Fuck" i died laughing there. Then his "The shield will not break" to calm the crowds which he himself ended up cringing at afterwards. And then basically telling the masses that all the times recently he has been absent was because he was fighting the enemies aiming for, not just their kingdom, but their world, followed by congratulating the kids on starting at Academy, and then walking off all cool and charismatic.
This needed a special mention of its own. When he walked down the podium and undid the first button of his shirt as he walked away, and the administrators lowered their eyes. It wasn't mentioned but you know they were blushing.
I'm literally all over the place but I needed to make this list of everything I loved in this small arc.
I also see a pattern. At the end of part 1 Cale met God of Death, at the end of Xiaolen arc he met Fire of Purification, at the end of Central Plains arc he met God of Balance and God of Hope. Who's next? I really look forward to him meeting God of Protection, our very own Super Rock.
(One thing I'm confused about though, why is the owner of Dominating Aura talked about as if he isn't literally Choi Jung Gun?)
I'm so hyped for the Five coloured bloods and the King's successor reveals. I feel like they're gonna be harder to deal with. Especially the King's successor. That old man on Central Plains compared Cale to him except that guy carries much more despair inside him compared to Cale and that fucking says a lot.

I only started my ST TOS reading journey. What would you absolutely recommend from the ST TOS novels you’ve read so far?
I would say Diane Duane’s The Wounded Sky and Spock’s World are my two favourites, of all the books I’ve read so far. They have such a fun Enterprise, I love how real and loved the universe felt, and literally the cutest Jim Kirk I’ve ever read. Also some fun Amanda and Sarek moments in Spock’s World (there’s nothing little about my husband…)
My Enemy, My Ally & the Rihannsu books by Diane Duane (and Peter Morwood for the second book!) are a lot of fun. The first book has my beloved Ensign Naraht, everyone gets into Shenanigans, and there are some really scary Vulcans. The second book has McCoy in the midst of some tomfoolery, and the series as a whole has a lot of fantastic world building.
The Vulcan Academy Murders by Jean Lorrah made me die a little because I do love Sarek and Spock’s relationship, and it does some really cute stuff with the family dynamics. There’s a second book called The IDIC Epidemic. I liked both books, though The Vulcan Academy Murders was my favourite.
The Pandora Principle by Carolyn Clowes has Spock basically being the most awkward but excellent teacher/guardian to Saavik, they are so damn cute.
Vonda McIntyre’s The Entropy Effect was also a lot of fun- Spock has to try and avert a disaster in the timeline, and just has a Bad Time.
Yesterday’s Son and Time for Yesterday by A.C Crispin are about what would happen if Spock had a child by Zarabeth in the past, and they do jab you right in the emotions. Everyone’s a bit older in these ones (pre Wrath of Khan, I think).
I know a big fuss is made over Killing Time, The Fate of the Phoenix, and The Price of the Phoenix for how they’ve portrayed Kirk and Spock’s relationship, and they’re certainly fun books but I don’t know that they’re ones that I would choose to revisit too frequently? Diane Duane’s books have a chokehold on me, I’ll be honest- I keep going back to my favourite parts, and my copy of My Enemy My Ally has a billion sticky tabs in it to remind me of things I thought were neat.
It was actually surprisingly difficult to come up with a list of suggestions! I’m pretty sure I’ve forgotten something, lol. Thank you for the ask I enjoyed working on my answer!!

How to learn physics as an adult
I'm creating this post in response to some posts @un-ionizetheradlab made the other day, but I'm creating this as a guide to anyone this is relevant for. It's going to be a long post, but pick and choose what to do from this list based on what works for you and what your goals are, whether it's just to gain basic scientific literacy or become a physicist (or something in between). Also remember that it's a journey not a sprint, so it's ok if you don't understand physics at first (and if it makes you feel better, physics was one of my worst subjects in school and now I have a master's degree in physics). Without further ado:
First Thing's First
There are some mathematical methods you need to learn to understand physics; there's no way around this:
Vectors: This is the most important thing to learn for physics, how to use vectors. It seemed every mathematics or physics class I took in my first year of my physics degree started with an introduction to vectors, and for good reason. You can learn about how vectors work on Khan Academy for free.
Matrices and Tensors: Once you've mastered vectors, learn about matrices and linear algebra, and perhaps go on to learning about tensors once you're at it. You can at least get the basics about matrices from Khan Academy, but you might want to invest in a linear algebra textbook.
Calculus: I said vectors are the most important thing to learn for physics, but it actually might be calculus. If you have absolutely no previous knowledge of calculus, you can watch the video "Calculus at a Fifth Grade Level" on YouTube; it's a little more advanced than fifth grade level but can give you a good feel for what calculus is about. Once you've done that, there are multiple calculus courses available on Khan Academy. There's also a calculus course available on Brilliant, but it might only be available through the paid version.
Ordinary Differential Equations and Boundary Value Problems: You don't need to learn these right away, but if you want to do physics at the upper undergraduate level, you'll need to learn these at some point.
2. Learning to Think Like a Scientist
Some suggestions of apps and things to watch if you don't know much about science so you can start thinking like a scientist:
SciShow: If you don't know much science at all, SciShow on YouTube is a good place to start, I used to watch it and as I recall it's more focused on life sciences but there's some physics videos there, too.
Ciencias De La Ciencia: This is sort of a Spanish version of SciShow but it's more physics-focused. At least some of the videos have subtitles if you don't know Spanish.
Cosmos: If you haven't seen Cosmos (either the old version with Carl Sagan or the new version with Neil DeGrasse Tyson), it's very good and at least some of the episodes are available for free online. It's more pop-science and history of science than actual science content, but at least they make a point of using anecdotes from the history of science to illustrate how the scientific method works.
Sabine Hossenfelder: Highly recommend her YouTube channel; she's one of the most intellectually honest scientific communicators in the world nowadays. Her videos are a good illustration of how to think like a scientist. She also has a blog and has written a few books.
Brilliant: This is an app with mathematics and science courses that places an emphasis on problem-solving. Most of the courses are only available on the paid version of the app (but you should be able to get a discount on it if you're subscribed to any mainstream science YouTubers), but even the free version gives you access to a few courses, plus a forum where people post problems. I had this app back in the day and liked solving problems on the forum (no idea if it's changed since then).
3. Books to Study
If you're committed to learning physics you should study from some textbooks:
Physics LibreTexts: This is a whole collection of university-level physics textbooks for free online. It's an invaluable resource for learning physics. Use it to learn classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, modern physics (but don't jump into quantum mechanics straight away if you're just starting out in physics).
Landau and Lifshitz Course of Theoretical Physics: This was the physics school curriculum in the Soviet Union; it's a little dated now but if you're just learning the basics it can't be beat given the excellent pedagogy. It's easy enough to find copies of it online, especially on Russian sites. Most if not all of the textbooks in the series have been translated into English, but if you know any Russian, the original is easy to follow.
Introduction to Electrodynamics by David J. Griffiths: Once you've learned mechanics, modern physics and some electricity and magnetism get yourself a copy of this textbook; you can get used editions on Amazon for a reasonable enough price. American physics majors are obsessed with this textbook, refer to it as the Bible, and for good reason.
Every Life is on Fire by Jeremy England: This isn't a textbook, but reading it took me back to my statistical mechanics class and it's way more readable than any actual statmech textbook so if you are interested in learning statmech, this book is a good start. It's actually a general reading book about England's ideas about the origin of life, interspersed with some parallels to the Hebrew Bible because England is also a rabbi. He actually has some interesting ideas about the philosophy of science, though they can be difficult to get behind, so if you're interested go listen to a podcast where they interview him (obligatory I don't condone the Kahaneist politics he sometimes promotes).
4. Learn About Research and Experiments
Physics is an experimental science, so expose yourself to some experiments:
Look for PDFs of high school physics labs online. You can find some for free and it should be cheap enough to do the experiments at home.
Read scientific papers on topics that interest you to try and understand what's happening today. If you find them difficult to understand, try reading older papers and go from there, for example, in undergrad I did a research internship relating to neutron stars, but I found some of the recent scientific papers difficult to understand, but reading the 1938 paper "On Massive Neutron Cores" by Oppenheimer and Volkoff helped me to understand neutron stars better. (When I returned to some of those same papers during my master's degree, I was proud to have understood them well.)
5. Take University-Level Physics Courses
You can take university-level physics courses without committing to a degree:
Search online for MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). You can find MOOCs on multiple sites about many physics topics, and they're often free (sometimes you have to pay for them).
If you live in the United States, you can take physics classes at your local community college.
You can enroll in online physics courses through Open University, based in London but you can take the courses from anywhere. It's expensive, but you pay by the credit so you don't have to pay for a whole year of tuition if you're just taking one course.
If you happen to have free time in the summer and the money for it, many American universities (and elite British universities) offer summer courses that one can enroll in even if they don't attend the university. These are usually in-person classes.
6. Get a Physics Degree
Getting a physics degree is ultimately the only course of action if you've decided to become a physicist, the recommended course of action if you're ultimate goal is a PhD in the history of science or philosophy of science, and a good idea if learning physics has made you want a career in science communication of science education. There's no shame in being a non-traditional age student; in both my bachelor's and master's degree in physics I knew students who were non-traditional age. The downside of this is that it's a bad financial decision to get a degree, especially if it's a second bachelor's degree, but there are ways to lessen the financial burden of a degree:
If you attend an American university with American tuition, you can usually get an on-campus job, though that's pocket change compared to the costs of tuition.
On the bright side, if you already have a bachelor's degree you can probably get credit for general requirements at American universities, so a second bachelor's degree in physics might not take long.
You can also do a part-time degree while you work at many universities.
Just some general advice, if you go the American university route go to a university with a Society of Physics Students and get a student membership in American Physical Society; you get all kinds of benefits like access to Physics Today magazine, scholarships, internships, conferences, an honour society induction.
All that said, it's difficult to attend an American university without losing money. For that matter it's difficult to attend any university in the world without losing money, but you can lessen that burden by going to a country where university is cheaper. There the limiting factor is going to be language; although English is the international language of physics and the medium of most postgraduate physics degrees around the world, physics bachelor's degrees are usually in the local language. Some possible exceptions I found to this, for those who are not fluent in a language other than English:
Apparently there are world-class English-medium physics degree programmes in France? I figure there must be some kind of catch given the way the French are about their language, but given the high research output France has in physics, this is worth getting into.
There are English-medium physics bachelor's degrees in the Czech Republic, and tuition there is pretty affordable (for the English-language degrees; it's free for Czech-language degrees if you happen to be fluent in Czech). I don't know Czechia to have a lot of physics research output today, but back in the day Prague was a major centre of scientific research (Einstein briefly lived and worked as a physics professor in Prague), so it you're goal is to do a PhD in the history of science...I'm just gonna say that there's an English-medium physics bachelor's degree programme at Charles University and you'd have time when you're not studying to explore the city and it's history (but you should learn some Czech if you're going to live there).
University degrees in South Africa are usually English-medium, and tuition there is pretty affordable. There's also a fair amount of research output from South African universities. (Though I understand not wanting to live in South Africa.)

Another RWBY criticism that I don't understand is the claim that it was bad writing for Blake to use her surname of Belladonna when she enrolled in Beacon Academy. They say that this would allow people to easily realize that her father is Ghira, the former leader of the White Fang (back when it was peaceful). This criticism demonstrates a severe lacking of Mongolian culture. You see, in the Mongolian culture/language, the word "Khan" isn't a surname, but is actually the Mongolian word for conquerer. For instance, Genghis Khan's last name was actually Temuljin, which means "from the heavens" in the Mongolian language. Additionally, Ghenghis means "great warrior" in Mongolian, so his full, real name means "great warrior from the heavens". What I'm saying is, it could be possible that Ghira used the Khan title instead of his last name when he was in public, and that Sienna had a different, real last name that we don't know about. Naturally, RWBY's critics never even bothered considering those possibilities, which led to my belief that they're too closed-minded to be effective critics.
Your rebuttal is very easily countered by going 'This is not Earth, this is Remnant'. None of the etomology of the Khan name is shared with Remnant as far as we know. Nor do you have any proof Ghira went by a different name, which you claim.
To be honest, there's a far simpler solution: just because Blake has the 'Belladonna' last name doesn't mean she's Ghira Belladonna's kid. Not only that: Why does it matter that she's Ghira's daughter? Ghira isn't a wanted criminal or anything. At most, Weiss could identify her as a Fanaus earlier...but all that does is change which arcs happen where. It does not affect anything.
It's not about being close-minded: the criticism is pointless.
'Well sorry I have higher expectations for-'
No you don't. You think you do out of smugness but if you were to name me your favorite media, I could easily poke over a dozen similar holes in it because fiction doesn't exist for a reason.

26 April 2025
WOW I have not studyblr'd in a long time! But I've recently had a small study Renaissance, so I might as well blog about it.
While continuing my programming and compsci studies, I've realized that I should probably brush up on some basic math too, because that's an important foundational skill. So I've started doing some daily math studies on Khan Academy, which is helpful. It's humbling, because despite having reached uni-level math in the past (years ago, back when I was actually in uni), I've forgotten all of it in the interim so now I'm back down to the algebra level 😅 But it's good to stay humble when learning.
I also felt the urge to return to my active language studies, so I'm working through the Assimil courses for Mandarin Chinese and Croatian. The Mandarin course is in French ("Le chinois sans peine") and the Croatian course is in German ("Kroatisch ohne Mühe") so it means I get to practice both those languages too, which is a nice benefit.
After a few days of doing math and language study, my brain felt like a parched flower blossoming after someone had finally watered it, so I decided I wanted to expand my learning even further! I always read a lot, but I tend to gravitate towards fiction and I keep meaning to read more nonfiction, so yesterday I picked up the Routledge Companion to Feminism and Post-Feminism, to brush up on my feminist history.
Today I got even more hyped about learning: I read a few pages of a book in French about African revolutionaries, practiced reading basic Chinese on LanguageCrush (love that site!), dabbled in the history of philosophy on AFAIK.io (do not love that site! so I'm not linking it! further info below), watched a documentary in German about microbes, and did the first unit of a college-level music theory course.
I LOVE LEARNING SO MUCH AHHHHH 🥰
Here's my actual learning log for the past few days:
Apr. 21 - Assimil “Kroatisch ohne Mühe” lessons 1 and 2 (passive wave).
Apr. 22 - Assimil “Kroatisch ohne Mühe” lesson 3 (passive wave). - Assimil “Le Chinois sans peine” lesson 1 (passive wave).
Apr. 23 - Khan Academy: Algebra I (unit 2) - watched some videos in Croatian - Lazy Chinese: one video - Assimil “Kroatisch ohne Mühe” lesson 4 (passive wave). - Assimil “Le Chinois sans peine” lesson 2 (passive wave).
Apr. 24 - nothing (sick)
Apr. 25 - reading: Routledge Companion to Feminism and Post-Feminism (2%) - Khan Academy: Algebra I (unit 2) - Assimil “Kroatisch ohne Mühe” lesson 5 (passive wave). - Assimil “Le Chinois sans peine” lesson 3 (passive wave).
Apr. 26 - German: watched ARTE documentary on microbes (1.5 hours) - French: read a few pages of the book Figures de la révolution africaine: de Kenyatta à Sankara by Saïd Bouamama. - Khan Academy: Algebra I (unit 2) - Assimil “Kroatisch ohne Mühe” lesson 6 (passive wave). - Assimil “Le Chinois sans peine” lesson 4 (passive wave). - Chinese: read a short beginner’s passage on LanguageCrush. - studied some history of philosophy (from the site afaik.io, which I do NOT recommend – the content appears to be entirely AI-generated and some of it contains amusing but concerning mistakes; I am definitely not going to use that site anymore) - music theory: completed Unit 1 (Basic Concepts) of the course “Music Theory for the 21st-Century Classroom” (which I do recommend; it looks incredible!)

KINDREEED I'M SCAAARED
I WANT TO DO THIS ART THING WHERE MERCH DESIGN FOR JANANI K. JHA (APHRODITEEEEE) BUUUUT I ALSO HAVE A BIG BIG EXTRACURRICULAR FINAL EXAM IN 9 DAYS
9 DAYS
MY PARENTS WON'T LET ME DO IT IF I FAIL
I'VE FORGOTTEN EVERYTHING I'M GOING TO CRYYYYYY
DO YOU HAVE ANY GOOD STUDYING TECHNIQUES???
I FORGOT EVERYTHING-THE TEACHER DIDN'T EXPLAIN IT ALL VERY WELL-AND MY NOTES HAVE VANISHED
-NYX T-T
WOAH OMG OKAY! IM HOLDING UR HAND LETS DO THIS:
i have no idea what it is ur studying (like if its memorisation heavy or practice heavy, history vs maths for example) but i can advise u as follows:
Tumblr media
start with bismillah!! u got this inshallah >:D
aight first were going to get ur calendar and study material out and plan: if i understood right ur test is on day 9 so u have 8 to study? (ill go with that just in case u plan according to what u have):-
in those 8 days how much stuff (topics/ chapters) do u need to cover? some parts may be longer/ harder than others and might need extra time, dont forget to take that into account! take bio example; id study a topic a day (one for mitosis, the next for cellular respiration, etc. but if ur tight on time group similar stuff together) and solve questions to help the ideas stick *and* make sure ive gotten everything down; if i forgor something or found a question particularly hard its an indication to go reread and study further that area specifically.
plan realistically and play to your strengths; start with what will be the easiest for you. for example i loved molecular bio (cell stuff) and left ecology till last, but that might be just me lol. anyway you know best what works for u so go for it!!
Tumblr media
if u have school atm take a break after getting home to switch between school and studies, keep taking breaks to stay sane (preferrably after milestones), drink plenty of water and dont lose sleep!! very rich coming from me i know lol but u must sleep. or else ill haunt u :3
breaks btw can be getting up to pray, doing a random chore, eating a snack or having a meal with family, regardless i advise getting up and moving to really freshen ur mind! daydreaming also works lol
Tumblr media
assuming u have a book/ reference material; id say look at the objectives before every lesson, usually thats what teachers focus on because thems the objectives lol. its a place to start
next, again this depends on what ur studying, but i cant sing enough praises for mind maps & mnemonics. life savers fr:
the idea is to start with the bigger picture; what is this lesson about? what are we learning here? (more bio: if im studying the humble cell i first need to know the kinds of cells, whats in them, how they do what they do. this is ur first mind map thingy: to arrange ur thoughts) and then continue to work your way with the details, seeing if you can come up with words phrases imagery etc to help remember stuff. (so for example making a lil mind map of each organelle and its functions) plenty of stuff exists online too btw!! look for resources and maybe ask classmates if yall have a group or sum. khan academy has saved me many a time back in the day, so did crash course lol. the internet can be a godsend sometimes
Tumblr media
now me, kindred, personally, i memorise via writing. if i want anything to stick i keep writing till it does (even quran!), so as i make notes and summarise the way my brain works is that ill start making connections to help me remember stuff bc my memory isnt the best and brute memorisation is a crime. anywya.
literally from todays test: to help me remember the type of mutation (deletion of 1p & 19q) associated with a type of tumor (oligodendroglioma) i make the connection delete and go from oligo. its simple but thats what sticks when im in the exam lol another one i remember form 2 years ago almost is MACE (yk the medieval weapon) is short for a bunch of antibiotics: macrolides = azithro- clarithro- and erythomycin. i forgor everything else about them lmao but the point is this is how i remember stuff. silly little acronyms and mnemonics go a long long way for me
Tumblr media
cant stress this enough; make studying enjoyable for urself (yes im serious) try to have a lil milestone sheet or something in mind for finishing topics or days at a time to keep u going and motivated
my gremlin brain needs this or else nothing will get done lol. i doodle on my lecture notes (as yall are all too familiar with lmao) to help get the wiggles out and stay focused, but when im actually done for the day i allow myself a lil research break, teleport to tumblr, microwave the blorbos for a bit etc.
in this case maybe u can plan out the art u want to make; first break plan the art, next one find references, third break make a first draft etc. u know urself and ur habits better than anyone so work with and not against them!!
Tumblr media
tl;dr: make a plan -> stick to the plan -> always deliver.
Tumblr media
this was significantly funnier in my head aha.

Deadpool and Wolverine: The Prequel to the Mutant Saga
Tumblr media
Here's How the X-Men Could Be Part of the MCU
Tumblr media
If you're catching up on comics, the X-Men recently are experiencing one of the worst events in their history as mutants in comic book event Fall of X. Long story short, the "mutants being hated" status quo is in play and pulling the entire Marvel Comics Universe into it. With recent success of Fox's most successful leading mutants in the MCU, the audience is now asking the question... What will this mean for Mutants? In this theory article, I'll explore possible directions that the MCU may take with its cast of incalculable mutants.
X-Men Vs X-Men
Tumblr media
What I noticed in X-Men media is that it's basically mutants against mutants. I mean, unless you singularly focus on one goal like the Krakoan Era, there's a chance that a mutant will either defect to another team, fight over leadership, or straight up leave because their feelings were hurt. Seriously, the Umbrella Academy can stay more cohesive than the X-men and those guys are a dysfunctional family. Even with legit reasons for leaving or defecting, it just gets tiresome by the fact they'll probably come back with no hard feelings.
My idea for this issue is that the people will only see the X-Men as the problem rather than mutants themselves. Think of a larger scale Civil War scenario with neutral mutants, like civilians, in the conflict getting hurt because of the X-Men's actions. This can also add themes of security or freedom, profiling, and the abuse of power by the government.
Speaking of themes, let us move on to the overall idea that mutants are always associated with. The exact reasons that were explored in a show with a recent mutant in the MCU.
X-Men and Proud
Tumblr media
What might be addressed in the MCU is the prejudice and bigotry of mutants compared to people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, and so on. I know that mutants are allegories for minorities, but that's the point. They're allegories. The one thing that I want discussed is whether the hatred is earned by mutants. Because think about it, mutants are called Homo Superiors and considered the next step in human evolution. Those ideas can seriously give you an ego and be generally disliked because of it. They also manifest crazy dangerous superpowers as teenagers, like if Hulk and Thor were emotionally unhinged boys who trashed a city over a taco. That's a more definite reason for people's hatred: constant destruction with no accountability or responsibility. But now we're getting the idea of mutants as a whole being treated as minorities and I feel that wouldn't exactly fit as well if the MCU introduced clearer examples of prejudice and culture.
Tumblr media
Another example is the confusion of prejudice for mutants being the same as other kinds like racism and xenophobia. For example, basically Emma Frost, a blonde white mutant, is less likely to experience the same struggles as a black woman or an immigrant from another country. A discussion between her and Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, really exploring what it means to be an outsider and struggling to be accepted would combine both real-world and mutant issues.
But with the Mutant Saga coming, are we going to follow a new cast of X-Men or reintroduce old ones from the past?
The Old and the New
One advantage of the Multiverse is reintroducing old actors from previous Fox X-Men properties into the MCU. You could have The Gifted's Emma Dumont aka Polaris or Legion's Dan Stevens aka Legion. If you bring back characters as cameos, why not use them as much as possible to really build the MCU Multiverse. This would also give some closure to cancelled shows or movie franchises and maybe those characters to the MCU.
False Hope or Idea Generation?
Tumblr media
Now, whether these ideas get any light in the upcoming Mutant Saga or just get shoved randomly into projects for no rhyme or reason, I have no clue. I guess it's good to have that kind of expectation with recent X-Men projects like X-Men 97, but I'm not holding my breath.
