i am so impartial on this ship it’s not even funny.

i get that it’s canon. i get that izumi looks suspiciously like mai so it’s endgame. i just don’t see HOW?? it feels as if the writers realised zutara was becoming popular and were like ‘OH SHIT WE GOTTA DEFUSE THIS SITUATION SOMEHOW’

their relationship is basically just mai being a cold asshole and zuko being an angry asshole and there’s no change or development between EITHER OF THEM

however when they’re cute they’re cute !!!!

on the other hand we as a society need to admit that zuko is weirdly possessive of her (ig that’s a positive if ur a booktok romance girlie but im not). like if i was mai i wouldn’t put up with that toxic shit either

something about katara potentially becoming the fire lady is so… icky. she’s a waterbender. the fire nation tried to systematically erase her kind. her mother is killed by the fire nation because they think she’s a waterbender. and katara…. what, becomes part of the royal family? it just seems wrong, and like something she wouldn’t be into

also i feel like their arguments would be a little too NUCLEAR. there’s like, a 50% chance of divorce

she deserves a better ending than that is all i’m saying

bros to lovers guys, where zuko falls first but sokka falls HARDER !!!

ik this will never be canon and im happy with that. i know there’s not even a whisper of romance between them in the show, but i just think it’s c u t e .

sokka (like suki) is very likely to call zuko out on his shit, but less likely to lose his own shit (like katara)

this in my heart of hearts is 10/10 however is still problematic in a similar way to zutara

however though, i would still say it’s not as ruhroh as zutara bc firstly, sokka isn’t a waterbender, and secondly, ‘consort’ is a lot more open to interpretation than i think fire lady is. in my opinion a consort ≠ a fire lady, just like irl a consort ≠ a queen. it kinda means he can still be ambassador to the southern water tribe/a leader of his own people, while just so happening to be married to the fire lord.

Okii, I saw you had some open slots so I thought Id give it a shot!!

Jinwoo with Male!childhood friend!reader who remembers everything post-regression. Reader had pretended to be oblivious ever since and planned to take his secret (feelings) to the GRAVE.

BUT eventually it slips when reader refers to their crush as "SM" when talking on a panel at an anime convention (Reader wrote a series based on the last timeline but changed things around so it would be hard to recognise) they were invited to.

The pannel is talking about childhood crushes and reader literally describes jinwoo pre-regression powers and all then saying "oh they're just a character from an old show I watched about growing up (LIE) avsndnjdn 😅😅" (reasoning was "ahahaha its not like he'll see this right? ... right??)

The issue is that jinwoo sees a recording of the panel and realizes that reader remembers EVERYTHING and needs to confront them NOW.

Here are the issues:

Jin Woo didnt even know that Reader was an Author in the first place

Reader is in ANOTHER COUNTRY and is going to stay there for a few weeks after said convention

Reader confessed their feelings assuming the other didn't feel the same before the last battle, DIED, and then had been pretending to not remember anything for years after time reset.

Reader's cosplaying (as a cute anime girl /maid with the fluffy short skirts) at the convention and having fans SIMPING for them.

All I know that Jinwoo will not be waiting for reader to come back to Korea

Hello There! Thank you for your request and for the wait!! I hope you like what I've cooked up!! A standard drabble for me is 300-600 words but this ended up being a little over 1,100 lmao ^^' It's only loosely edited so I hope there's nothing tooooo terribly wrong with it!

Anyway! Without further ado!

Be an author they said, it’ll be great, they said. 

Nobody actually said this, especially since you’ve largely kept your writing a secret from your friends and family. However your whole life you’ve been determined, and consequently you were thrilled when you were invited to America to speak at a panel about your works, who wouldn’t be? You never got to do anything like this in your last life, it was absolutely mind-blowing to even consider. However you’re not sure if this is what you wanted seeing as your fans have started to ask some invasive ass questions. 

“My childhood crush?” you repeat with a dry mouth, you really don’t want to talk about Jinwoo in front of a room full of people. Surely you can spin this, make up a story; you’re good at that. Hesitation fills you, you don’t want to admit that you’re gay to a room full of strangers but you can’t spin this tale that hard. “The only childhood crush I had is this character from a really obscure comic,” you say with a weak laugh, unfortunately they all prompt you to say more.

“Well.. He was actually a huge inspiration for my series,” you offer, cringing internally. Jinwoo will never see this, never ever, it’s fine. “This character, we’ll call him SM,” the audience groans at the hidden identity, “I can’t reveal all my secrets to you guys! I gotta have some mystery y’know? Anyway- he was this really weak guy, super cute right? Then he ends up getting like crazy strong. Not that he wasn’t hot when he looked like a wet cat, I have taste.” The audience chuckles knowingly, they get you, you have a similar character in your current series, he’s quite beloved. You clear your throat and continue, getting bolder despite the way your hands are sweating. “I’ve always been in love with him, that's why I wrote my story, I couldn’t get that, um, series… out of my head and I needed to create something of my own. It altered me in a way that I’ll never forget, and I’ll love SM until the day that I die.” The room goes quiet for a moment and you have to wipe your palms on the fluff of your stupid maid skirt. Why did you want to cosplay at this convention again? You look ridiculous up here, cat ears atop your head as you talk about some “fictional” boy like you’re deeply in love with him. You could’ve at least worn not a frilly skirt?

Suddenly the crowd goes wild clapping. “You’re so real!” Someone yells and everyone else cheers in agreement. Is that something the kids say? You’ll take it. 

The rest of the panel is much less harrowing, lots of goofing off and then the next day you have autographs and photos right after, who knew you were so popular in America? It’s quite exciting, but you’re exhausted every night when you get back to your hotel room. 

The last day at the convention you trudge back to your room, slipping your heels off and flopping face down onto your bed. Your skirt flips up and you don’t even bother to fix it, what’s the point? You’re just going to sleep like this, let the exhaustion take you. You have another two weeks of sight-seeing in America before you head home. You’re excited for it but a part of you just really misses Jinwoo, you want to call him but then he’d know you’re not in Korea.

“SM, huh?” The bed dips and a familiar voice sounds from behind you, just before hand settles on the back of your thigh. The touch barely high enough that a gloved portion of it brushes your skin above your thigh high stockings. You startle so badly you roll off the bed in the other direction. 

You hit the floor hard enough that it knocks the air out of you and you have to take a second to reorient yourself before you spring up, pointing at the intruder, “Y-you! What are you doing here!?” 

“I could ask you the same question. You up and vanished, I had to find out from a video posted of some panel that you’re not dead.”

“I’m fine, you could’ve texted! Besides! How they hell did you get here so fast!” Your voice is shrill as you round the bed, crossing your arms over your chest as you stand in front of him. 

He doesn’t reply right away, just raising his eyebrow, unimpressed. “Avoiding the question?”

“What?”

“Your childhood crush-” he starts, not needing to finish. You start stuttering out excuses, it’s not what he thinks, it came to you in a dream, you were just making stuff up, the more you talk the more you dig yourself into a hole.

Jinwoo sighs and grabs your wrist, pulling you into his lap, wrapping his arms around you and sticking his face in the crook of your neck. “Why didn’t you tell me you remember everything?” His words are quiet and pained, full of mourning. Your heart throbs suddenly aware of how painful it must’ve been for him to have to start over all by himself.

“I’m sorry.” You don’t know what else to say. You don’t know how to tell him you’ve loved him for as long as you’ve known him, in both timelines that is. Or how to tell him you were also suffering alone. Or even how to say you think you’d die without him by your side. You shakily reach up and card your fingers through his hair, exhaling a breath you’ve been holding for a little too long. 

Jinwoo makes a noise of discontent, “I don’t want an apology.” You stiffen, unsure what to do before he continues, “I want to know why you thought it was okay to let other men see you like this…” He runs a hand up your thigh, it’s a whisper of a touch. Eventually his gloved fingers sneak onto your bare skin then under a too-frilly skirt. You suck in a sharp breath. Does this mean he feels the same? When you confessed so very long ago in the other world you never got to hear an answer so suffice to say your brain is spinning as he presses a soft his to your shoulder. 

“Jinwoo-” you start. 

“Be it America, or anywhere else in the world… Any timeline… I will find you and I won’t let you slip through my fingers- never again.” He makes his intentions clear with a scrape of his uncannily sharp teeth across your skin. “And trust me, I still have some… frustrations- about you hiding your feelings from me for all these years.” He says, snapping your garter, making you yelp.Ah, the consequences of your actions, so you see. Well, perhaps you don’t mind too much if this is the outcome.

Rating superhero/villain dynamics on how gay they are

Batman/Joker:

do i even have to say it. Usually they have a pretty one sided thing with Joker being high-key obsessed with him but Batman has no interest in that at all. Way overhyped imo. bonus points for the Lego Batman Movie 7/10

Superman/Lex Luthor

despite many factors and the fact they have a son together, there’s not a lot of tension. Plus Lex gives major homophobic vibes, (he’d make pride lexcorp merch while backing don’t say gay bills)

2/10 for kon

Green Lantern(Hal Jordan)/Sinestro

oh my god. They have the whole friends to enemies thing that you could swap for lovers to enemies so easily. The worst exes you’ve ever seen. I think they’re actually a couple in some comics (prolly an AU). That one episode of DC Super Hero Girls (the new one) where Hal fights both Sinestro and Carol and they’re said to be on the same level. good shit

it depends on the comic. Sometimes they’re very flirty and suggestive and other times they’re tearing each other’s clothes off bc the male author thought it’d be hot. I think that goes for a lot of woman/woman dynamics in comics tho. I honestly don’t get sometimes why they’re fighting bc they seem to have a lot in common.

Jesus Christ guys wtf are y’all doing. They have the funniest dynamic in all of DC comics. Old ass ‘nam vet picks fight with 15 year old who he blames his son’s death on. While I adore the 2003 teen titans show, they got the dynamic so wrong. Their dynamic only becomes homoerotic once Dick is an adult. They have profound respect for each other but they also fucking hate each other. They’re enemies, they’re friends, they’re co-parents, they’re the least mentally stable people you’ve even seen.

My oppinions on the quarentena character's

"Dr" Benito Camelo: he is one of the character's that surprised me the most and also did't surprised me AT ALL (weird i know) i thought he would be more of a joke character since its name is literally a joke name (literally a Paula Tejano) but seeing quackity's rp from the first minutes the character got predictible (in a wonderful and good way) to me, FINNALY an asshole that would not save a child or actually help his team, he got my heart pretty quickly since he was a asshole like my bisexual queen Elizabeth Webber, he is also a character witch i want to see his fake asshole mascarede to break, the very very small moments of his "goodness" are so interesting, even when he only saved emi to test on her and was being an ass to this poor orphan child, he did't wanted her to see the dead (defenily becoming a creature) body of her father, exited on where this character is going for now one, will he get character growth and actually help his team and being a father figure to emi?(comparing him a little bit to liz in here sorry) or will he still being a sellfish bastard? I hope if he survives he comes back to the universe, interesting character and had alot to give for the story and universe of ordem paranormal

Luis Miguel Kennedy: omg the moment roier oppened his mouth to roplay luis i feel in love with him, luis is type of character in ordem that i unfortunaly always fall in love with "Combatente class character that has a hero complex that is funny" (lírio and joui jouki my obssesions) and i adore him, i loved the parody batman voice actor that roier did to him, i liked that he was basicly the only one in the group if more "hero" like morality and im obbessed with his ridiculous name that implies some american heritegy but something that got my attention is his hatred for people that he dosent wiew as "good" or "worth" of saving, the way he acts with benito says a lot about the character, they way would defenily kill benito if emi asked is TERREFYING, he would kill for other but basicly only how he finds worth and its a fun shake up of this trope and he is so Bisexual i LOVED HIM

Jeffrey Bacon: i really enjoyed him as a character, and found him really funny even if the jokes did't landed with me most of the time, he is quirky in a straight men way is very interesting, he is just a regular guy defenily not prepered to be dealing with the ordem paranormal bullshit that he is seeing, i found foolish rp for Jeffrey wonderful but Jeffrey as a character did't impressed me tbh, i really want to see how foolish will do to Jeffrey when it's time to take Jeffrey seriously and in more dramatic moments where jokes aren't really fit for the situation since foolish clearely is going to a more comic-relif rp, im scared for this poor soul since cellbit will traumatize this character the most

Lucie Pocharde: i really enjoyed her, more from how baghera played rather then lucie by herself, she is pretty much what i expected her to be but with a bonus of her being actually annoying!, idk how baghera endured the session being so late for her but she did amazing (horrible dice aside) hopefully now that baghera know more what to do with her rp regarding lucie we will see lucie's more as her own character, she is pretty interesting but her alone as a character did't grew that much on me but i loved to see baghera playing, waiting for next saturday to know more about her so I can have a better jugment

Diego Thalles: he is really sweet, really fofo and gay, thats all, since pac was very clearly nervous with the whole situation pac kinda "hided" his rp talents that could me good for Diego, its a easy character that we dont know much about so i enjoyed his pressence but for me if he dies the only loss is that we wont have pac in a ordem table tbh, he is the character im the most neutral about, waiting next week so we know more of him and hopefully pac lets his rp talent shine

Emília (emi): cellbit showing once more that he does not know who to do preteens especially preteen girls with emi lol, at fist i did't cared much of her since she has such obvious death flags but she grew on me FAST, such a annoying brat love her, especially her interactions with lucie and benito those moments ware iconic, waiting to see what cellbit does to her, honestly i want her to be the sole survival of this group, if a tpk heppens, i hope more people on the group besides luis interact with her more so we understand her personality betted

Mikael: Really fucking hot omg does ordem artists do not know how to NOT make peopls hot???? This character surprised me because i thought he was a ordo realitas agent 100% but nah he is actually a "villan" lol im exited in witch vibe cellbit is leaning with him, exited to see him dying horrible since he is a antagonist and a hottie

star trek update time. monday we watched ds9's "in purgatory's shadow" (ohio edition), "by inferno's light" (ohio edition), and "doctor bashir, i presume" (ohio edition), which did blow my tits clean off, and then last night we watched voy's "unity" and "darkling" (south carolina editions, sadly).

kira and odo's little moment at the beginning of this episode 🥺 he was soooo embarrassed to be caught attempting to try and learn how to snag a spouse but she didn't judge even a little. girl, break up with your stupid ass boyfriend. odo is right here

i really loved bashir pointing the phaser at garak when he figured garak was lying. i was like oh damn he knows him so well and i love when this twink has had enough and becomes a little evil BUT THEN IT LITERALLY WASN'T HIM! what an incredible plot twist. we literally had to pause the episode and work out the timelines to see how long we had been living with changeling bashir. it was sooo good and i wasn't expecting it at all. mwah

jadzia and worf are so good. her personality being settled into like, comic relief makes for such a good match to his whole straight man aura. obviously she taunts him with his klingon operas. please.

also lol "at the first sign of betrayal i will kill him" <3

i do NOT like whatever they are doing with garak and ziyal. first of all, he's gay. secondly, she is like at LEAST 20 years younger than him. i want to trust them but after jake dating all those older women i am so suspicious

the backpedaling they're doing on fun and friendly former facist dukat is insane. not to say i'm not enjoying it. also, i like when he threatened kira and she was like "pffft whatever" like what a blow to his fucking ego. get his ass

VERY cool to see martok again - totally unexpected

our last wonderful surprise of this ep was tain being garak's DAD- it makes so much sense and puts so much into perspective, and, hi, JULIAN WAS IN THE ROOM DURING THIS. garak could have asked him to leave and he would have. garak could have told tain he was there. but he didn't, because he wanted the moral support, and because he wanted julian to know something true about him. AUUUGHGHGH

like, we haven't had NEARLY enough garashir since s2, but this was SUCH a good moment, even though it feels like they're trying to backpedal on that too. what a series of plot twists for this ep 10/10

garak's claustrophobia <3 absolutely loooved this especially since julian had to go in and get him. bangs tankard on table MORE GARASHIR! there literally has NOT been enough. i would love to know more about tzenketh but i know they will never ever tell us but wow <3

i am SO tired of seeing worf lose fights this episode was fucking great. not only did he not lose any fights except under an extremely unfair circumstances he totally kicked ass even while injured. FINALLY. even that jem'hadar guy was like i can kill him but i can't defeat him so i give up. SOOOO true finally let's respect my boy worf. why don't you bitches call him a pussy NOW

anyway, the little moment worf and garak had at the end of this episode...mwah. put them on the fuck chart

overall these two episodes were incredibly good even though the strong action-y episodes are usually not ds9's forte. absolutely baller content for everyone except ziyal. i will at least take comfort in the fact that garak looked very uncomfortable to be hugged

okay, my main beef with this one was pacing...i thought they resolved the problem extremely quickly after the cat was out of the bag, and it's because they spent so much time on the doctor and leeta and rom. which would have been a GREAT b-plot for any other episode, i LOVE leeta and rom and i was cheering for him the whole time, but even though the EMH (sorta) cameo was very welcome, i do not welcome it at the expense of time taken from one of the most pivotal episodes for julian bashir probably in this whole series, especially when i have the sneaking suspicion that it won't be brought up again

and i did LIKE the resolution of this episode, his parents paying for what they'd done, but it didn't feel like he got to sit with it for long enough, and it certainly felt like we skipped over a few pivotal moments - the scene where he found out his best friend knows could have been EXTREMELY meaty. is he afraid of judgement? is he angry? is he worried miles will be angry? etc. but we just kind of breezed right on by it. like, i loved the way miles sat and let him get it out of his system in a fun inverse of julian talking him down from suicide but we could have had SOOO much more

anyway side from that i love. I LOVE. holy shit

like, i can't even talk about the episode itself, just this entire concept. like, they did essentially kill their kid. they made him the way he is, a new kid, and then hated him for the way he is. SPOCK CORE. and then to find that out as a teenager...

like, you know he had to google "does being genetically enhanced make me a bad person" and then of course what google spits out is "did you know about khan noonien singh and would you like to?" and he was like Oh No

that said, this lady gave off SUCH evil vibes that even after the truth was revealed and she and chakotay fucked i kept waiting for her to stab him in the back. which only kind of happened i guess

i did love the borg meld scene though. it was incredibly scary. and i was TWIRLING MY HAIR when he got possessed or whatever the fuck

it was also so fun that he spent half of this episode dazed and stumbling around because of his little head injury. excellent material overall

oh yeah and i KNEW that corpse was gonna wake back up. i think it's so terrifying that when you're borg, even if you die, you aren't done. you can be revived because nothing kills you, not even the vacuum of space. that is easily the most horrifying part of it all

i also really liked chakotay and janeway's moment at the end. like, she was distrustful the entire time and he was too trusting, as he tends to sometimes be, and then at the end she was like aw but they weren't so bad and he was like [thousand yard stare of guy who has fucked 2! women who later betrayed him and has now been radicalized against the borg]

like i'm not saying it wasn't 99% consensual with riley or seska but i AM saying that he was hopped up on the borg meld when he fucked riley and later riley was willing to use chakotay's body for her own means when push came to shove and i'm saying that seska knew full well the whole time it was happening that it was under completely false pretenses and she stole his dna without his consent to make a baby he also didn't consent to, even if it turned out she fucked up and got that kaxon baby instead. like, chakotay better be careful or he's gonna start fitting into captain kirk's niche

also, what a BAFFLING b-plot. if you measure each of kes's years (except the first, i suppose) as a decade in human beings, we can assume she's in her thirties now, so she just...breaks up with her boyfriend to smooch the hot alien guy she met a few days ago and then maybe wants to run off with him? in her THIRTIES?

i DID like the EMH quoting the oath at the end, but without any sort of battle of the selves or real emotional investment in what he did when he was evil, it feels kind of wasted on this episode. it's a fine concept, but the execution falls soooo flat

headcanons(?), loose plot, and shenanigans.

The club was established a long time ago by Josie, PJ, and Hazel when the school started to require every student to be a part of a club.

PJ didn't want to partake in any club as they all seem to involve physical exertion and community service so she thought they could just make up their own and they ended up with a gaming club.

They had high hopes for the club in the beginning bc who doesn't like video games?! But it turns out three nerds endorsing the club didn't seem too appealing to the many students of Rockbridge Falls High.

They used to play different types of games until they decided to exclusively play Tekken bc it's PJ's favorite and everything PJ's demanding ass wants, she gets (/pos. she's princess).

Also bc there were only three of them and Hazel always seemed to go with whatever PJ wanted.

They play local tourneys... Oh, and they never win!

They get a ten dollar budget from the school which they use to buy food after participating in a tourney.

PJ is Lili main because duh! She's gay and dramatic.

PJ's adamant that she mains Lili bc she's 'hot and sexy' but really she just thinks her outfit is pretty </3

Hazel is Asuka main mostly bc PJ is Lili main lol she also mains Lars.

PJ thinks Hazel purposefully choses Asuka to piss her off bc Hazel always beats her.

Josie is Jin main but sometimes she plays Josie just because :)

Josie draws Tekken fanart/comics.

Sometimes Josie draws Asulili fanart to piss off PJ. She gives them to Hazel who puts them up in her bedroom <3

PJ believes Josie's a show-off for being a Jin main but Josie thinks it just shows how much of a loser shut-in she is.

And yes PJ was definitely a button masher. When they were younger Hazel beat her twelve times in a row and she got so mad that she didn't talk to Hazel for a whole day until Hazel showed her what practice mode is actually for.

She grinded so much that time that she failed a test but it was all worth it when she finally beat Hazel. It wasn't that long until Hazel was, yet again, unbeatable to PJ.

Josie is defo the best out of all of them, she's naturally great at remembering combos.

Josie and Hazel loves discoursing/theorizing about the plot and characters with each other.

Hazel makes them club shirts every year bc she's the rich one.

Hazel loves experimenting with/building fightsticks.

Hazel likes to write down combos she find on YouTube and she shares it with the club when they meet.

Hazel also takes notes about what everyone needs to improve during their sessions. Josie takes notes when it's her turn.

And PJ thinks it's stupid, "You guys don't need to do all that. Literally, no one cares about this club but us. We could be not doing any of this and no one will care,"

When they got to senior year they were given a notice by the school telling them they were gonna shut them down and m cut off their budget if they don't rack up at least ten members and gain any significant achievement for the school.

"Fuck this stupid fucking school. Why can't we be ugly, gay, and untalented in peace?! Does that mean it's one dollar for each student? Do they think my Tekken expertise costs a dollar?!"

Luckily Hazel got Sylvie and Crystal to join. Annie's also there, she doesn't play, she just sits there and complain the violence.

Sylvie is Panda/Kuma main. Crystal is King main. Annie will play Julia but only if she's playing against Sylvie.

Hazel also got Stella Rebecca to join too but only cuz she told her about the tourney prize money.

Stella started out as a Chloe main until she saw PJ playing as Alisa once and got into her bc chainsaws ^-^ !

They're still missing three members and lo and behold— Isabel and Brittany joined the club.

GET HIS HYPOCRITICAL STUBBORN ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! theres another comic thats like an opposite parallel to this where creed is the one beat up and logan is calling him out on his weirdness (i’ll post it eventually. its the only one where vic is canonly gay. im not fucking kidding.) so its SO GOOD to see that shit reversed omg…ok so context -> logan lost his healing powers so creed set up this whole last hurrah thing to ‘breakup’ with him (since theyre not equals anymore) where he proves to logan the shit he constantly denies. logan kills someone begging for their life, and in a fit of rage chops a guys hand off(but it was mystique and she healed so its fine). creed proves to him that after all these years, logan still cant control himself.

but weirdly enough, even tho theyre not equals anymore, creed still implies he’ll stick around. just like he always has. which like….why. its not for superiority, he already feels that. logan wont change after all this. if anything, logan might even live a better life than the alcoholic depressed one he current lives. he literally retires at the end of this. why keep playing a game that no longer exists? but i guess it didnt really exist in the first place either. creeds feelings and efforts were always one sided, logan never putting the effort back in return. creed spent so much of his life fighting for something that logan just….didnt care for. maybe he wanted to, and maybe that chance that he was secretly wanting to accept that part of himself is what kept creed motivated to keep pushing. maybe he thinks that even when logan isnt wolverine anymore, something might still change. creed doesnt want logan to completely give in to his animal side, he just wants him to stop pushing it away(stop pushing HIM away) and acknowledge it. he cant ever control it if he keeps ignoring it. and creed, despite being the villain, has learned to control it. because he works with it, not against it. but logan never understood that. so he never changed.

also personally i think that creed is just putting on a speech, trying to show the other people in the room how ridiculous logan is and finally have witnesses to the struggle he goes through with him, but he doesnt really mean all of it. not really. sure this is a big dramatic breakup in the eyes of the audience he wants to present it to, but he’ll never stop trying. he cant get himself to. the part about killing him before logan forgets him? he means that. memory is what drives it all. note the phrasing ‘once again’ become his equal. he’s forgotten before. there was a time where creed didnt have to fight for him to understand, and its the chance of having that again that keeps him going. the chance that logan might remember how to exist as who he really is without fighting it.

it reminds me a bit of how in wolverine #90, creed finally(after literally begging) pushes logan far enough to kill him(not really, he healed) and fully lose himself to his animal side. and from then on he doesnt push it away anymore, actually likes it, learns to work alongside it…..still doesnt like creed tho. unless u count that one bit in #128. fuckin hypocrite.

Birch Trees: since they share a root system, they have a telepathic link and communicate without even speaking, which is fucking creepy as hell when one or both of them just start laughing out of nowhere. they probably enjoy acting sinister

Asmodeus: he worked HARD on his song for the show!!!!! i think he's a bit of a ham sometimes when he gets the chance. also his goat head bites literally anything that comes close on reflex.

The Devil: while everything he does is to get souls, it also feels like he wants for positive and is less an Enemy of God and more an Irritating Coworker. in my brain they have a whole Tom and Jerry thing going on.

I don't have anything for the Fake Puppets the Substitute impersonated, but im planning on drawing some infinitiger soon bc he was my fave for sure

The Substitute: this is PURELY crack but i think it would be hilarious if he had voice commands like some tech does. i want him to climb back in the window and ryan just yells XBOX TURN OFF and he vanishes.

Dino Dad/Dinosir: i think even after he gets to the present and learns about all kinds of rocks and gems and crystals he Still just loves a big old rock he can lay on and sun himself with. like a dad and his armchair. doesnt gotta be fancy, just has to be comfy.

Ok I think when they first met with the first time the s6 formed, electro took a small interest to shocker. Sorta developing a small guy crush (or smt like that ) where he’s mostly in awe of shocker and kinda looks up to him, finds him cool and whatever. I guess the best way to put it is the initial guy crush or whateevr thing that deadpool had for Spider-Man when they first met (just less gayer and way smaller in scale because electro could never compete with the levels of homosexuality that Deadpool is dealing with ). But yeah that’s why I think in the sewers when shocker asks soemthing about how they;re gonna defeat spiderman, electro tries to show off his powers but like instantly fails and gets chewed out by doc (most failcringe bisexual….).

Shocker funnily enough doesn’t really think of that interaction much (at the moment he just thinks huh. Weird. And just moves on )but I think it’s funny to think that interaction haunts electro for a while… (biggest embarrassment of his life bro.)

Anywayssssssss, from that moment on the fact that like shocker and electro have similar powers and shocker can help electro train his powers more, doc ock decides to partner them up a lot. This lets the 2 to grow closer and also only furthers the supposedly straight guy crush that electro has because shocker to me would be the type to be very comfortable with physical touch/contact with people he’s close to (and besides he would have to get pretty close to train him,(I saw a post that showed this really well I’ll reblog that after this maybe ) and of course electro is freaking out because he has not felt the touch of another man in years…(and he’s very obvious about it because his sparks are going crazy) shocker however doesn’t take the hint (yet at least)

But eventually electro does get over the totally straight award guy crush and starts being pretty comfortable with shocker. Which makes him become wayyyyy more comfortable with psychical touch/contact, leading for the two to be very comfortable in each other’s space. They’re constantly leaning on each other and what not.

Also forgot to mention that throughout this whole Time shocker is slowly taking more and more interest in electro. Picking up on his body language and such (shocker rlly likes looking at electro’s sparks move and zap, hearing the buzzing and watching his eyes glow or dim) , just observing a lot (he likes observing electro a lot I think ), he finds him weird (reference to that one comic of seeing electro just chow down on a bunch of wires) but also very intriguing

Anywaysss as they get closer shocker’s interest in him grows more and he realizes that such interest is making him feel certain things (gay things. Fag.) and this is also when he puts two and two together with why electro got so nervous around him before. Course electro doesn’t get as nervous anymore but shocker does sometime catch it and he wonders if electro still does like him in that way (he still does btw it’s just veryyyy Lowkey), but yeah as they grow closer, more and more of these feelings keep bubbling up, shocker even hangs out more with the s6 and let’s them come to bar more often yadda yadda.

Oftentimes electro comes by the bar alone and shocker is always glad to see him (often refers to him as his favorite regular ) and the two hang out a lot in the bar even after closing time. They also hang out a lot of the bases’ rooftop (if it has one) and here are where things get gay unfortunately…. (Sorry I’m homophobic ), they ever so slowly try to push what they;re usually used to. They occasionally drop small flirts with each other and their usual touch is far more intimate (such as shocker placing a hand on electro;s face and even fully cupping his face at some point )(how tHE hell these 2 not figured out they’re both into each other I have no idea). And oftentimes the 2 brush it off, eiether switching between being oblivious or thinking it didn’t mean much. But their relationship is very much changing in some way. the two clearly see each other more then jsut friends (and so can the s6 at this point who are so sick of their back and forth ) and there’s a shit ton of pinning but none of them say anything or do anything to confirm that.

On shocker’s end he’s not even sure how to approach this, nor does he even know if he can because while tombstone and his crew are on good terms with the s6, that might not always be the case and he has to make sure whatever he has with electro doesn’t get in the way of his work. On electro;s end we know his shitty track record of relationships and how he handles them so a potiental romantic one could go up in flames, and also there’s that lingering self doubt that makes electro believe that’s there’s no way shocker likes someone like him when shocker could literally have anyone he wants (electro and his crushing self confidence sigh.)

But eventually they do get together. Sorta. (Situationship babey 🔥🔥‼️‼️‼️🗣️🗣️🗣️) and it happens impulsively I think. Some night alone at the bar and shocker reaches for electro’s face and then suddenly leans in to kiss him. Electro kisses back of course and that’s when the two finally get confirmation that yes the two very much into each other. But there’s not much said, just a silent understanding of not being completely sure of putting a romantic relationship label on what they have, but as long as they can do more of this (kissing and whatnot and just generally being more intimate with each other ) that’s all they really need. So wooo situationship, they still do a lot of things they did before (being very comfortable in each others space and leaning on each other yadd yadda ) but there’s a lot more intimacy within them (gay shit booooo boooooo I hate gay people in love boooo booo ) but yeah 👍👍👍👍

And then shit happens in the merc electro au and there’s a breakup or whatever, mega angst time babey 🗣️🗣️‼️‼️‼️🔥🔥🔥‼️‼️

"How did you figure out your OC's identity?"

Well, Maggie was easy; she more or less punched me in the face with her bisexuality, like she does almost everything else, while I was writing her initial profile in my notes. After that, the only question was whether/how to bring it up, since the first book really didn't have room for a romance and Maggie tends to keep her personal info to herself by default. So there was a possibility that Maggie's orientation wouldn't be mentioned at all, simply because she had no reason to bring it up or even think about it in narration. I didn't want to leave it for later, though, for fear it would seem like a retcon.

Hilariously, Gabe solved that problem for me.

Gabe was more difficult to figure out. I knew from the start that I wanted to connect him deeply to queer history in general and Black queer history in particular. His role in the story requires a lot of historical context; he's sort of a window into the past of the world we inhabit. As a kid, I always liked it when older heroes or legacy heroes showed up in comics--your Justice Society or Invaders teams, for example--because it made the world feel more lived in, like there was an ordinary kind of history to it. Sure, we know Captain America punched Hitler, but I always liked that we might also see a character dig through a box of their grandfather's junk and find a 1930s gas gun next to some snapshots of unfortunate hairstyles. I liked that ordinary-ness, so I knew Gabe would be connected in a very ordinary, human way to some older characters--one in particular, actually. He's the guy who digs through the boxes.

However, since the series is predicated on the idea that marginalized heroes have always existed, I knew the history Gabe connected to had to include that marginalization. I had already decided that Gabe's superhero forbear would have been (in his secret identity) an investigative reporter from the 1930s or 40s who ended up being murdered for his journalism rather than his masked activities, so I decided to place that journalist within the history of excellent but overlooked Black journalists of the period.

And THEN I watched a documentary about Bayard Rustin, and somehow that long-ago journalist became a gay man in my head, and I started researching Black queer history in New York. (There are these amazing journals in a university archive--long story.)

Now, Gabe was closely connected to this dead journalist in a way I can't describe due to spoilers, and I knew Gabe himself would be some variety of queer, but he didn't feel gay in my head, if that makes sense? I tried a few identities on him, noodling around in drafts and exercises, but it wasn't until I sat down to write a scene in an early chapter that he made himself known. If Maggie punched me in the face, Gabe murmured in my ear.

Quick note about how I write scenes: my usual method is, for lack of a better description, to hit play on a movie in my head, play a few seconds, and then pause to write down what I've seen. I don't have very much control over what happens in the movie--at least, not consciously--so sometimes I write something and I'm just as surprised as you are. This is one of those times.

This scene required Maggie and Gabe to climb a whole bunch of stairs, and Maggie had to go first for reasons. Having known Gabe for all of ten minutes and being someone who doesn't trust easily, she told him she'd stab him if she caught him staring at her ass, groping her, etc.

And Gabe, cinnamon roll that he is, asked why anyone would do that.

And that's how I knew Gabe was ace--because I'm acespec, and that's the kind of question I asked a lot at his age. So I let him explain himself on the page. Gabe has a certain wholesomeness about him that's oddly disarming, even to me (and makes the twist in his story later on a lot of fun), and that's how Maggie ended up explaining her bisexuality to him in the kind of "Oh, thank God, another queer" interaction I think most of us have had at some point.

And so, much as Maggie booting a Nazi in the head in Chapter 1 established the politics of this book up front, there's a conversation somewhere around Chapter 3 that clears up who's what and why and how. I am not usually this organized.

There's also a third lead character who is ALSO queer, but I'm leaving their story a mystery for now. Gender-wise, they're probably nonbinary, but if you asked them their sexual orientation, they'd probably just give you a Look. That blank on my notes is currently just "???????". Maybe they'll figure it out when they're not actively having an existential crisis. As to how I figured it out ... I tried on a few gender identities, and they just sort of sat there in my head, staring at me, until I backed off and they picked up they/them pronouns without further explanation.

I understand that some writers actually plan out things like their characters' LGBTQIA identities in advance. That sounds wonderfully relaxing. I'll have to try it someday.

Well personally I feel like the show kinda watered down the characters… Charlie specifically. In the comic Charlie is very confident and pretty popular guy- not like nick Nelson popular but he’s well liked yk? But in the show he seems to sorta get more put down by Harry and his friends.. I wish we saw Charlie sticking up for himself rather than tao do it for him.

UGH SPEAKING OF TAO. literally what happened?? In the comic he seems pretty protective over his friends but in the show BRO IS OBSESSED.. Like I get your gay friend has fallen for a "straight guy" but that’s none of your business!! Also assuming ppls sexualities but ur the token straight ally?? Right… also he blames Charlie at the end for what happened with Harry as if he wasn’t the one creating more drama. Overall I HATEE show tao. I also DIDNT appreciate the fact that elle outed nick.. like girl.

The only characters I actually enjoyed were tara, Darcy, tori and the teacher. Even I was disappointed with Nick.. like the show allowed a whole ass slur but not a "happy fucking birthday." ??? What the fuck??? Nick just seem more soft in the show and I didn’t like it.

moving on to the casting… Nick is fat, kit Connor is not.. Charlie and tori are Spanish and well, jenny and Joe are pale ASFF!! So in PVZ1 We see that Crazy Dave appears to be the only person left alive in Neighborville, making it easy to believe that Zomboss only wants his brains, right? Well you're wrong. According to the PVZ comics, the town's FULL of much easier and less defended targets, so why not just go after them?? According to the comics as well, it also confirms that Crazy Dave and Zomboss were roommates.

However, the divorce idea really comes into play in Plants Vs Zombies: 2, It's About Time. In which Crazy Dave goes back in time to eat a taco again. Don't ask. However you know which rat bastard is chasing him throughout TIME AND SPACE ITSELF to get him?

Pssst... Try not to take what they say in interviews too seriously. Sometimes things will be intentionally vague or an outright lie to confuse or appease people or throw them off from something. Ennis is infamously known for that although I don't think everyone realizes he does this, but he's also working on the show with them.

They said Marie surviving "wasn't as simple as them needing her alive" and it's kinda funny to see fans take it one way or the other when that can be so many different things in context of The Boys universe and especially what we saw in Gen V.

"Plans to kill Homelander" is Billy every season without success, but even if he did, I think we'll see him getting haunted by Homelander big time after the fact. I still want Hughie to be the one who kills Billy but maybe it's beyond the grave Homelander who's there as Billy is dying instead of Becca. I think that would be fitting and Billy honestly deserves it.

There's definitely an element of groundwork they are following from the comics which has been pretty consistent but what I really suspect will happen is that the control virus will end up used on Homelander by someone to purely weaponize him. I think we'll see him become an attack dog and fully efficient berserker without getting to enjoy any of it and having a different sort of mental break after.

The comics sort of rob you of the gratification Homelander's death could give and I think they want to recreate that effect for the show but who knows.

The scary part for me is all the genocide apologism that is going around but The Boys is sort of meant to unmask people and have us reevaluate the way we think so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Still hurts though.

As far as Cate "going too far", he's technically right. Not because Shetty wasn't a complete scumbag who wouldn't deserve death, but because she'd been completely neutralized with Cate's powers.

Neutralizing someone by killing them and killing someone who has already been neutralized are two very different things. Just jail her and let her suffer and stew in her own anger and actions knowing she lost at that point because death is the easy way for someone like that. She asked for them to just make her forget but Cate should have forced her to remember or even live through the memories of her victims.

My ideal ending its Homelander winning and realizing it didnt fix anything and that now he its even more alone than before. I think bad guys winning its the most subversive thing for the stale af genre of superhero media. Kevin Conroy Tribute Review: Batman the Animated Series: Perchance to Dream (comission for WeirdKev27)

Kevin Conroy was my batman. Sure there have been other greats in the rolls from the Late Great Adam West, to as recently as the thankfully not late but still great Robert Pattinson, but when it came to what sounded and felt like Batman, to what really summed up the character for me and who he was, the triumph of his heroism and feats and the tragedy of his lonliness and pain, there was one man who always came to mind.

It's easy to see why: I grew up with Batman the Animated Series: while I was only about 4 when it first started airing, thankfully Cartoon Network knew what they had and thus warner aired it in reruns frequently, most fondly on Toonami with it's own cool lead in graphics with Batman declaring "I am vengeance, I am the night, I am batman." It was bliss for young me, watching everything from the tragic downfall of harvey dent, to the cold sadness of mr freeze, to that time an alligator man kidnapped the homeless because as I realized last night as me and Jess watched Batman fight a werewolf, this series could get weird. It's where I met my favorite batman Villian Scarface.. and the guy carrying him too. It's what really shaped my perception of the character. I'm not saying no other interpretation is valid, I truly loved the gonzo silver age Batman Brave and the Bold, the recent dark and moody The Batman, the not so recent year one ish The Batman (Cartoon), the utterly fun Burton Batman… there are tons. But you never forget what brought you there and even now as a grown ass man.. the cartoon stands up as a throughly mature work that stands as a solid model for how to hook those young and those old , as both 8 and 30 year old me can attest, to make something for everyone and to show just how broad an appeal animation has.

Conroy's further work on Superman (With the utterly awesome World's Finest four part crossover), Justice League and many, many more just cemented him in my eyes. This was Batman. IT wasn't the only way to portray him but it's hard to argue it wasn't the best.

Yet despite being so essential to my life.. I hardly knew Kevin Conrony it turned out. See in June of this year, I learned I didn't know him at all. I knew what a good voice actor he was but I just never thought, being kinda clueless at times, to actually look into the man. And as he told it in the utterly awesome autobiographical short comic story, Finding Batman

Finding Batman can be found as part of Dc's Pride 2022 a now annual celebration of DC's queer characters, and the issue was made free online for all to honor his passing. I recommend the whole thing, as there's a lot of good stuff.. but Finding Batman was the highlight. As you can guess by the title and as was a shock to me, Kevin Conroy is gay. He has a husband that survivies him and as you can imagine coming up as an actor in the 80's while also being gay.. wasn't easy. The story brilliantly outlines the pain he dealt with, having to hide it like a mask, and loosing rolls simply for who he was. IT's a painful, raw, and ultimately triumphant look at who Kevin Conroy was and why he connected with batman: Like Batman wears Bruce Wayne as a mask, Kevin had to wear being straight as a mask lest his true self be uncovered. And like batman he had ot deal with tons of pent up pain, anger, and heartbreak.. and thus.. perfectly slid into the role. The only reason I didn't review this.. is that I just really can't review an autobiography comic. It's hard to talk about story and tone when the story is VERY real, was very painful to someone and a lot to deal with. It feels wrong. It's the same reason despite equally loving it I didn't cover ND Stevensons comic about them realizing they liked women. Because ultimately it's someone's life story and should be there's to tell, not mine. Most I can do is tell you it's there.

What I can do… is Review Kevin's Faviorite episode, something Kev and I agreed was a good choice: I had thought of it before and kev bringing it up as Kevin Conroy's faviorite clinched it.L While I had PLENTY of brilliant episodes to choose from, this series is rememebred for good reason, I wanted one that really spotlighted Kevin as a performer, that really showed his range, substance and what he could really do. And what better one than when Bruce Wayne contronted Batman? That when Bruce is faced with the very thing that keeps him from being happy. When Bruce gets everything he could want.. and sadly dosen't get to keep it. Ths is Perchance to Dream… and it's under the cut. For Kevin.

Perchance to Dream has a very simple brilliant hook. We start with a normal batman the animated series episode for about a minute: We get one of the greatest opening sequences of all time to one of the greatest theme songs of all time as usual. Seriously the animation, the quick movement, the beautiful use of Danny Elfman's theme.. it all just meshes together perfectly. I probably don't need to tell most of you reading this how great it is.. but sometimes you have to state the obvious because the obvious is so frickin cool.

At any rate it starts pretty simply after that: Batman tails some crooks, goes into a shady warehouse, gets knocked out by .. something.. and wakes up fine in his bed, confused. Then we get the hook as Alfred.. .feels entirely off. He dosen't know what Bruce was up to last night, thinks Robin is some other woman he's seeing ont eh sid eof selina, and more importantly than that.. has no real response to Bruce possibly cheating. Given the guy's main functions are to doll out sass and fatherly advice, it's a nice subtle clue that something is .. off.

The slightly bigger one .. is that the iconic clock entrance to the batcave, the one that's in just about every version of the character… is just a clock. Bruce gets increasingly frustrated.. when the hammer really drops and it finally sinks in just what's going on: Bruce's Parents show up. Kevin's performance of bruce seeing them is also just… heartbreaking. Being Batman… he just.. can't accept their alive. This has to be a trick or a dream or SOMETHING. The other stuff was just off and could just be some sort of scheme, but his parents.. he knows them. They've haunted him, their the reason he became the bat, there's likely not a day he doesn't think of them.. and here they never got shot, bruce is just a happily engaged former playboy who hasn't accomplished much.. it's not the life he had.. but it's a happy one.

Naturally bruce isn't happy or settled, and it's a nice way to have him speak for the audience: the audience too is thrown off by this new reality. They also cleverly get the exposition out about who bruce is in this reality by simply having him ask alfred, knowing it's silly but having him humor him. It also shows that despite the new life.. Bruce is still Batman and Bruce is still a mask. Being thrust into a new reality dosen't change that it only makes him question what's the gimmick? What's the trap? It's what the audience is asking too. It's also likely asking who takes care of the Rogues in a world without Batman? And that's where we get a clever twist after Bruce sees Selina in this reality at the office… and someone comes in announcing batman is outside catching those crooks with his grappling hook.

Yeah turns out BATMAN is still around… and THAT is what convinces Bruce this might be real. And it makes sense: Alfred, Selina , his Parents they all feel off slightly, an idealized version of them without the things tha tmade them real: Alfred isn't looking after bruce like a surrogate father (because his biological one isn't full of holes) and Selina isn't simply a mask for catwoman. His detective alarms naturally grow off. But if he isn't batman, if none of the evidence he ver was batman is around..w as him being batman just a delusion that left him with batman's skills? Is this the real life and was that just fantasy?

It's made more concrete with Leslie Thompkins in this reality. For those not as familiar with her, this series helped boost her stature, she's a child psychologist and skilled physiscian who comforted bruce the night his parents died and one of the very few in most continuities who knows hes batman. So even if he's not here… he's still someone he'd trust and he's still friends with her. She explains it as imposter syndrome: Bruce isn't satisfied with his life and not having earned anything so he created an exciting new one a delusion. It works.. but it's clearly both because the argument is persausive… and because Bruce WANTS it to be real.

It's what makes the episode heartbreaking: Bruce finally gets a happy life: Batman exists…. but so does bruce. He's no longer a mask he can just.. be whoever he wants to be. He has to honor his parents legacy sure… but he no longer has to do so because their cold in the ground. He no longer has to protect the world or fight evil. Someone else is doing it. He can just be.. happy. He and Selina can have an uncomplciated realtionship. He can still do charites and such and get involved in the company again. He can enjoy his parents. He's free.. finally free. And the sheer joy in his voice is so.. kind. We've never seen bruce like this. We've seen him happy.. but we've never seen him content. Finally free to be who he wants to be.

And it makes it that much more heartbreaking, as deep down he and we likely know this isn't real.. and when he tries to read only to get gibbrish.. it' sconfirmed. The sheer heartbreak on his face followed by his breakdown.. it shatters you. Kevin's coarse delivery of "this isn't real' is not of Batman's usual "I figured it out but grufly" delivery.. but of a man realizing his first instinct was correct.. and being broken by it. None of this is real.. it's all a dream. It's also why Leslie's argument likely worked and WHY there's another batman: it's bruce's brain, and the machine he's in fighting him, creating something to challenge his own rightful doubts. He's his own worst enemy.. both because it created the fantasy.. and because he couldn't help but shatter it. In the end he's batman.. and Batman can't help but pull at the strings till the curtainc omes down

From here Bruce tries to find Batman, being half deranged snarling HE DID THIS TO ME, and buying a rope and hook. His behavior is unhinged.. but it's easy to see why: he was the man who had everything.. and now he's just batman again. And while being batman is cool on paper in practice it's being alone, your parents dead and being trapped in a never ending quest, a noble one.. but one that leaves you mostly alone. He has allies.. but he forever will be on this quest. Well until he retires but that's not really the point and still left him with nothing so nyeh.

The police try to bring him in as his parents are looking for him.. but he easily dodges them because Batman, and confronts Batman at the tower of a cemetery. The performance here is stunning: it's Kevin using the bruce voice.. but clearly being batman, while the dream batman is cruel, happily going along with the summation of how bruce figured it out. how is.. kinda stupid. It was a good idea in theory but because the writer got how the brain works wrong it's him saying since dreams are on the left and speech is on the right, you can't read in a dream.

Yeah it's the reverse and it's something even without the internet for research that any of the crew could've looked up.. but it dosne't hamper the episode> it's goofy yes.. but it's not th epoint. The poitn is ptiting bruce against batman, literally showing the reason he can't truly be happy. Bruce gets to lash out. And what's clever is he never says this outright, never says it. but you can feel it. The line earlier is the closest he gets "he did this to me". While on the surface it's him being mad at whoever did this, in practice.. he's mad that he's chained again. while he'll never turn his back on his quest it dosen't mean he LIKES it or isn't aware deep down how deeply unhappy he is, how ultiamtely alone he'll be. he has friends and allies sure.. but deep down this is what he has more than anything, more than a normal life. And it's all he'll ever have.

This story, based on Detective Comics #633 to my suprise though changing some things (i.e. robin is absent), keeps the core: Batman gets everything he could want.. but in the tend the trauma that shaped him into the night.. also means he can't accept it. A fantasy like this worked on superman in the classic for the man who has everything (later adapted after this episode for Justice League Unlimited and yes I will be getting to it someday), because Superman had a happy life. it was trading one life for another. Batman has a life he's proud of.. but one that's inherently rooted in a trauma he never quite adressed, one he instead shaped his life around. It's a vow,a burden, a crusade, a cause, but it's something that dosen't make him happy. This story gives him that.. but the ultimate fakeness of it means he can't truly enjoy it.. and the second he spots the thread.. it' sgone

The why is also brilliant: instead of a mutant making himself into bruce wayne not getting batman and bruce were the same person, long story, it's the Mad Hatter. Sure they coudl've done the original but this works better both for the story their telling with the concept, and just simply that it's someone the audience knows. It's someone they've seen before so it is something they might be able to figure out. IT's hard to sure, but it's something they could see coming.

Roddy McDowell doe sa terrific job as him too, and his reasoning is heartbreaking "You ruined my life. I'd be willing to give you any life you wanted as long as you stayed out of mine" (He's also a simularcrum of jervis, just so we can dance around the identity issue. He can't see the dream and has his copy taking care of it for him). Sure Jervis was a stalker and a pathetic person.. but he's ultimately a very ill man who just wanted to be happy and thought he was doing batman a favor, not realizing that instead… he hurt Bruce worse than almost any villian ever has or will. He gave him something he can never have.. and for that Bruce is furious. He also gets out of the dream despite their being no off switch by jumping off a building.. and the shock waking him. As you do… if you is batman. And if your forever the night… no matter how much you dream otherwise.

Perchance to Dream… is a masterpiece. Going back to it I was in awe of it's deft construction, pacing and timing. But mostly.. I was in awe of Kevin. I wanted to pick a good performance but the torment bruce goes through, his brief ray of happiness and playing off himself. It's all so good. A large reason why I chose this one.. is that it's Kevin's show. There are other actors in it but at the end of the day this is an episode not defined by batman and the cool villian playing off one another (This show was very villain centric and it was awesome), but simply Bruce tortured by being happy. It's a fitting showcase for a man who truly was the night.. and will truly be missed. Thanks for reading.
