The room fell silent, Steph wasn't expecting the pain filled look they were giving her. The question repeated itself in her head a couple of times as her mind searched for a way to save the situation.
"I see you don't have an answer." The silence was still palpable in the room as well as the cold she felt when she saw those beautiful blue eyes lose their shine. "I should have known it was too good to be true, tell bru… Mr. Wayne that if he wanted to know about the projects so much, he could come ask for them himself instead of using a sugar trap." Steph tried to say something before an alert went off on Danny's phone, at which point she saw the panic that took over his eyes, before he ran to an adjacent hallway that led to a room, in which she was not. I had had the opportunity to enter. As she followed him she could see how Danny took a series of vials and several injections. She hesitated a moment before walking through the half-open door. At that moment she saw how he proceeded to apply several of the injections to a girl of about 5 or 6 years old. Steph knew just by seeing her that she was Danny's daughter. and some of the things they discovered while investigating the Nightingale medical company made a lot of sense.

Part 2 Ecto hits the fan
While Tim found the hornet nest that would cause the JL to be up in arms ready to attack the United States government . There was a town in the west of Huntington ky on the ohio side of the river in Amity Park. The young King was looking up at the night sky he was floating high enough that most Ecto weapons wont hit him and if any GIW had a jet packs he would hear them coming with enough time to get away.
He had just turned 16 today and Clockwork has finally told him that he was now the king of the infinite realm. Things were going to happen soon and fast the realms themselves were gearing for war. If things didn’t change soon. Then he, as the king, would have to lead them to battle.
Danny closed his eyes let the light of the stars shine over him. It was getting harder to keep both the humans and ghosts safe from the GIW. They didn’t care who they hurt Star and Wes were still in the hospital from when a stray shot from agent O nearly killed them. If Danny had been a second late they would’ve been crushed by the tree Agent O had shot down. As it was Wes had a broken arm and Star had broken 4 ribs while both of them had a concussion.
Last year his entire class had discovered his identity after an incident with Vlad. They had all started to help him because members of team Phantom. His parents had interrupted Boxy’s and Lunch Lady’s bonding ceremony and now admitted that ghosts were sentient and not all ghosts were evil. He finally told him that he was a halfa two months ago so things were going well at the home front at least.
While his personal life was getting better it didn’t change the fact that he was not ready to be a king and he didn’t want to go to war. Phantom opened his eyes looking at a satellite and wondering if it was the Famous watchtower. Most of the tower had tried to contact the JL many times his first year as a hero. They had thought that the first time was a prank call and by the next call the GIW had started to put up an informal barricade. No other calls had gotten through.
Tucker had hacked their system and found out that by the end of the first year. No information about the ghost were available to anyone outside of Amity and anyone who was in Amity was heavily edited to the rest of the world Amity Parker’s didn’t exist. Danny’s first thought was to fly up to the watchtower himself and tell them what was happening. Sam had stopped him while Amity wasn’t public knowledge the Anti-Ecto acts were publicly available. This either meant they knew and agreed with them or they didn’t know and we’re being kept in the dark. Now he couldn’t leave even if he wanted to it was too dangerous for his people for him not to be around.
His ghost senses went off and he sighed. His rouges had been getting better at not being destructive but The GIW were also out. He looked down to see Ellie running from the GIW. protective rage thrummed through his core
Not My Daughter
He took off like a shot his core screamed as he saw Ellie take a shot to the back. Ectoplasm seeping down her back as she was still trying to get away.
“Papa!” She cried out as she saw him coming.
Dani now called Ellie had finally stabilized and had created a parent- child bond with him. He could feel the echo of pain from that bond.
“Ellie” he cried out looking at the GIW he noticed the had a net. “Ellie look out” he pushed her out of the way the net wrapped around him and a high electric current went through the net. The last thing he saw before passing out was Wulf grabbing Ellie and taking her to safety

This is something that always bugged me, because for someone who claims to like Danny with or without his ghost powers...Sam has a tendency to have a lot of double standards. I mean, both times Danny gave up his powers for one reason or another Sam either avoided the “overly heroic” side of him like the plague -which ok I’ll admit was pretty over the top- then she got all butt-hurt that Danny threw himself into the freaking ghost portal again and zapped himself to supposedly get rid of his powers since he saw it as the only way to have a ‘normal life’ again when it seemed like nobody wanted or needed Danny Phantom around anymore and he lost his purpose.
Translation, I can only excuse so much of it because they’re kids when their characters are already shown to be written a certain way when it comes to their personalities and moral compass.
Like, when Vlad replaced him with another group of ghost hunters and Danny felt like he had completely and truly lost his place in the world that’s when he decided his powers didn’t make him happy anymore. And frankly, this has probably been building up for a while once it seemed like being half ghost only started causing them all MORE problems and stressing him out either because Sam and Tucker would either get jealous of him, downplay how dangerous his powers can be, ask Danny to use them for their benefit (especially Sam) and without much consideration both of them would scold Danny for using his powers ‘for the wrong reasons’ to pull some harmless pranks or expect too much of him when they don’t have the slightest clue how much he dealt with on a day to day basic because of ghosts, his parents, and bullies...
Poor Danny could literally never catch a break since he has to deal with all of those things no matter where he goes!
School: Bullies and ghosts, sometimes his parents if they get called in.
Nasty Burger, the mall, or other hang outs: Bullies and ghosts.
Home: His parents and ghosts, and on top of that worrying about dangerous inventions that could expose, kill, or badly hurt him.
His friend’s houses: Ghosts, his friends jealousy and/or peer pressure, and Sam’s super judgemental parents.
To be fair, before the series finale Danny had really come into his own so for the most part those problems weren’t as intense as they were in the beginning. Except for his parents, their inventions can still be dangerous. That said, when Danny gave up his powers the second time he was actually at a really really low point. He genuinely felt really worthless after he kept losing to Vlad and his new ghost hunters time and time again, but at least at first Danny tried to make the most of it for the sake of his friends and families. After making a fool of himself so many times and feeling like all his hard work had gone up in smoke, Danny gave up and decided he just wanted to feel like a normal kid again.
He wanted to just be Danny Fenton again dealing with normal teen problems, not constant life-threatening situations. But like I said earlier, while I still believe he went about it the wrong way, knowing Danny the way I do I think he would NEVER have jumped into the portal again because if he’s smart enough to know that if he was wrong about what it would do to him when he’s already half ghost he could have accidentally become a full ghost which there would be no coming back from. And don’t get me wrong, I do get Sam’s point of view to an extent since giving up his powers like that in the heat of the moment could have been life-threatening, I just don’t appreciate how they acted like it was the end of the world (which is a little ironic since it almost WAS because of Vlad.)
Anyways, in my eyes it’s not selfish to put your own needs first sometimes because it’s possible to give too much of your time and effort into taking care of others to the point where it feels like there’s nothing left for yourself. As his friends, they should have respected his decision (as terrible as it was) and been infinitely more concerned about Danny willingly hurting himself like that. It’s not like Danny to be THAT reckless and they should have stopped him and talked things out from there.
If they worked through how he was feeling together I think Danny could have found other ways to use his ghost powers to help people in a meaningful way, or more importantly come up with a plan to expose Vlad for taking advantage of everyone since he was making people PAY for the service of Masters Blasters which don’t even get me started on that because what part of he’s already the RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD did Butch not understand? Seriously, Vlad holding the world for ransom and exposing his secret without some kind of fail-safe plan in place felt so out of character for him too.
All I’m saying is I wish Sam would have been written as the more supportive version from the 1st two seasons, not whatever she was here.
(Note: So yeah, this has been sitting in my drafts for a while and wanted to tidy up a bit so I thought I’d finally go ahead and finish it then send my thoughts out into the world. It’s honestly more of a rant but meh, feel free to take from it what you will! XD)

Talk is Cheap ch 1 & 2 of ???
Prompt from @danphanwritingprompts [post] with additional inspiration from the tags of @coffeecakecafe [post].
currently only planning on posting further chapters on ao3 because I don't show up in tags here. if there's enough interest to read on tumblr specifically, I can put together a mentions list for new chapters posted on tumblr. (also I updated my tumblr theme to be better for reading fics)
Summary: When Vlad Masters claims to all of Amity Park that Danny Phantom is his late son, Danny plays the game and confirms it as the truth–adding the small detail that his father Vlad killed him. The two halfas tangle themselves in their own web of lies, and the consequences are more far-reaching than Danny could have ever expected.
Gen, Read [Chapter 1] [Chapter 2] on ao3
Chapter 1
Danny Fenton was on top of the world in the months following restabilizing his clone Dani. His powers had been steadily growing to a point where he didn’t break a sweat during fights with his standard rotation of ghostly enemies. Some had even stopped attacking Amity Park as frequently due to a begrudging respect that began to form between him and the ghosts. The most he had to deal with was patrolling for a few hours at night to round up some of the more mindless ghosts that drifted through. Most of the time it was for their own safety to protect them from the Guys and White and his parents rather than because the ghosts had done anything wrong.
With all that extra time on his hands not spent fighting ghosts, he was able to focus on getting his grades up at school. He still had to deal with Dash from time to time, but he found that the bullying really didn’t bother him anymore. The verbal abuse the jock tried to throw at him didn’t land the same way it used to, and any physical blows healed up by the end of next period.
Danny was even able to go on a road trip with Sam and Tucker for spring break without spending the whole time stressing about Amity Park’s wellbeing. There was no warning that everything would come crashing down around him after his return to Amity.
It was early in the afternoon on Sunday when Sam dropped him off at Fenton Works. There was no response when he entered and called out that he was home to an empty living room, but Danny shrugged and made his way upstairs to throw his duffel bag in his room. He had an itching to go flying and see if there were any ghosts to deal with after his weeklong absence. Jazz also didn’t seem to be home judging by her empty room, but she usually spent her weekend afternoons tutoring kids.
Danny placed his duffel bag on his bed and transformed into Phantom with a flash of light. He made sure he had his phone and a Fenton thermos, then intangibly flew through the window and into the warm spring outside. A quick flight around Amity Park only turned up a few blob ghosts that he sucked up with the thermos to return to the zone before any ghost hunters nabbed them to experiment on. Satisfied that things had been quiet while he was gone, he leisurely floated above the city streets to watch people and enjoy the weather. When citizens noticed him and excitedly pointed or waved, Danny would wave back with a smile or give them a goofy salute.
What caught Danny’s attention was a familiar figure waving him down from where she had pulled her car over to the side of the street. It was Harriet Chin–one of his parent’s old classmates and the only Amity reporter that he bothered talking to. She was the only one of the bunch that was respectful of both his time and his non-living status. Curious, he flew over to her. Harriet was getting out of her car to greet him, pulling some sort of voice recorder from nowhere.
“Hey Harriet, did you need something?” Danny asked.
She nodded eagerly. “I can’t believe my good luck that I finally spotted you. I wanted to follow up on the mayor’s press release and get your statement.”
“Vlad had a press release?”
“Were you not around? I suppose we take for granted that you always seem to be on hand at a moment’s notice.”
“No, I was in my lair–ya know, in the Ghost Zone.”
“Mayor Masters announced–wait, can I record this?” She paused and, after Danny nodded, turned on the recorder she had and continued, “Mayor Masters announced that he has uncovered that you are the ghost of his late son and publicly pleaded that Amity Park help bring you home to him.”
Danny froze.
Vlad said that he was Phantom’s father?
The idea was ridiculous, but terribly clever and in line with one of the twisted games Vlad would play. The older halfa was trying to back Danny into a corner where the public good-will he had finally garnered would become a weapon against him. Vlad played the part of a mourning father who just wanted his son back, revealing to Amity Park that Phantom was not just their savior but a child. The love that Amity had for Phantom would oblige them to ‘help’ the child hero reunite with his so-called father. That kind of play from Vlad in their constant game of chess turned the entire board into a minefield for Danny. He just had to make the situation as fraught with danger for Vlad.
Danny had only seconds to formulate a plan in his head. It was impulsive and dangerous, but would land Vlad in hot water he’d struggle to find his way out of without admitting to the public he was a liar and charlatan.
Harriet Chin was about to break the silence when he finally spoke up. “Yes, Vlad Masters is my father–who do you think killed me?
“You’re saying that Mayor Masters–your father–is responsible for your death?” She clarified, eyes wide with shock.
He mournfully nodded and continued speaking in a somber tone, “I thought in the afterlife I’d finally be safe from his lies and abuse, but not even death is a refuge for me anymore.” He pretended to be examining his gloves with great interest before turning his gaze back to Harriet with a wide, owlish expression. “Surely they can’t be thinking of handing me over to that monster?”
Harriet’s grip on the recorder tightened, her expression drawn. “Can we schedule a more formal interview–perhaps one on air? I know you’ve said the idea of being on camera makes you nervous, but the people of Amity Park deserve to know the kind of man their mayor is.”
He fought the urge to smirk in victory. “I think that would be the right thing to do. He must have hoped that death would wipe my memory clean of his sins. My father should be brought to justice.”
Harriet told him that they’d get him on primetime news tomorrow night and, after confirming he knew where the news station was, thanked him for his time. Danny watched her get back in her car and take off, making sure her car turned the corner before he let his expression morph into one of pure, mischievous glee. This was going to land Vlad in so much trouble. The man’s life would crumble around him, all while Danny got to watch on the sidelines. Plus, there was the added bonus that with Phantom having an established backstory, people would be less likely to associate Phantom with Danny Fenton.
Danny launched himself back into the sky to float high above the streets of Amity Park. Lying on his back as if floating over a pool of water, he pulled his phone out and opened up the group chat with Sam and Tucker.
Danny: u will NOT believe what just happened!!!
Tucker: shit did you hear about Vlad saying he’s your dad? I was just about to call you
Sam: Vlad said what?
Danny: vl*d (derogatory) told the news he was phantoms dad so i told harriet that he killed me its the PERFECT revenge
Sam Manson is calling.
He hesitated before answering the phone call, making sure to hold it a few inches away from his ear in case Sam was mad and about to yell at him for being stupid.
“Are you nuts?!” Sam shouted.
Danny cringed at the volume but pulled the phone closer to his face to respond. “C’mon, I think it’s a great idea.”
“This is going to bite us in the ass. It’s going to bite YOU in the ass!”
“No, listen, it’s great! Vlad either has to admit he’s a filthy liar or get thrown in jail for murder,” he explained.
There was a moment of silence before Sam spoke again. Her voice lowered, concern creeping in, “I just hope you know what you’re getting yourself into Danny. I’m getting the feeling that we’re in a world of trouble.”

Chapter 2
Danny really should have expected that the next day at school would be hectic. The entire student body was buzzing with gossip and speculation. It seemed everyone had heard about Phantom’s supposed heritage and the followup Harriet Chin released of Phantom’s supposed death. Even though the talk wasn’t about Danny Fenton, he still froze after stepping foot into the school hallways. His sensitive hearing could pick up all of the frantic conversations between his peers, but they blurred together in a jumbled of words.
“The mayor is Phantom’s dad–”
“–years of abuse, I heard–”
“–never liked Masters–”
“–only died 2 years ago, he’s our age–”
“–called him a monster–”
“–wonder how Phantom died–”
The fragments of conversations flooded his head as Danny stood, petrified. Everyone was talking about him and this web of lies Vlad and he had made. Most students walked around where Danny was at a standstill, muttering angrily at him and telling him to get out of the way. There was one student, lost in thought, that didn’t notice him and crashed into his back with a startled yelp. That was enough to pull him from his minor panic.
Glancing back, he saw Valerie cursing and collecting the textbooks she had dropped. Danny knelt down next to her to help her collect them. She glanced at him, a bit of surprise crossing her face, before she quietly thanked him. It seemed like she hadn’t gotten much sleep if the weary expression and bags under her eyes were anything to go by.
“You know Masters right?” She murmured under her breath, as if not wanting to be overheard. Her voice almost blended into the unpleasant buzz of gossip Danny was trying to tune out.
“Yeah, he’s a family friend,” he cautiously answered, watching her face for a reaction. Curiosity had him answering truthfully in hopes of wiggling out any indication as to Valerie’s thoughts on ghosts and ghost hunting after the experience with Dani months ago.
“Can we talk?” Valerie asked, then continued, “During lunch. Meet me in the library.”
Danny agreed and handed her the last textbook that had been dropped. They both stood up from their kneeling position and shuffled awkwardly. Valerie and Fenton were by no means enemies, but things had remained strained after she dumped him. He didn’t hold it against her, but he still had the emotional maturity of a teenage boy that died because a cute girl goaded him into something dumb. After a few tense moments of silence, Valerie nodded at him and pushed past to walk down the hallway.
He was grateful for the interruption that Valerie had provided. It was enough to break the tension of entering into the war zone of Casper High, so he made his way to his locker to drop off his backpack and gather what he needed for first period. Sam and Tucker had their first period together, plus their lockers were on another floor, and so the trio didn’t meet up during the school day until they had third period English with Lancer together. He wasn’t sure if he’d make it to third period without someone to commiserate.
Get it together, Fenton, he scolded himself. He’d fought not only the damn Ghost King before but also his evil self from the future–he could handle some gossip.
- - - - -
When Danny was looking forward to his third period with Sam and Tucker, he had forgotten to consider that most of the A-Listers were in that class as well. They also seemed like they had been desperately waiting for their third period so they could talk to each other. When he walked in, none of them paid him any mind unlike how they’d usually glare or sneer. Gathered around Paulina’s desk, they were deep in whispered conversation.
Danny sidestepped the cluster of A-Listers to slide into his seat in between Tucker and Sam.
Tucker immediately leaned forward towards him. “Things are crazy, dude. Everyone is talking about Phantom and his ‘death’.”
“Some of the speculation is really getting out of hand, Danny,” Sam added, that same concern and worry edging into her voice.
“I-I have it handled. Phantom has an interview on the news tonight,” he muttered.
“Phantom what?” Came Paulina’s shrill, surprised voice.
There had been a lull in the A-Lister’s conversation the moment before Danny spoke, and apparently that had been enough for Paulina to overhear his comment.
Tucker and Sam shared a look with him that was somewhere between annoyance and horror.
Danny cleared his throat to speak. “Er, nothing, Paulina. Go back to whatever it is you all were talking about.”
“No, it sounds like you were saying Phantom has an interview tonight. How do you know that?”
There was no way he could see out of this unless he canceled the interview with Harriet and played it off as Fenton spreading baseless rumors. He glanced to Sam, who was trying to communicate something with him through her expression alone. It was undecipherable though–a mix of too many things at once to convey a clear message. Danny looked back to Paulina and the A-Listers, who were all watching him impatiently.
“Because he told me?” It came out more like a question than an answer.
“There’s no way Phantom would talk to a loser like you,” Dash sneered.
Kwan spoke up, “No, wait, Fenton has some weird family thing with Masters. Remember the election?”
“You know Phantom’s murderer!” Paulina accused.
Star, on the other hand, failed to stifle an exaggerated gasp as she seemingly put pieces together. “You knew Phantom when he was alive!”
Now the entire class’s attention was on him. Danny prayed to whatever gods there might be for Lancer to walk through the door and start the lesson already to free him from this conversation. His mouth was dry and his tongue like lead in his mouth. He knew that anything he would say would just be another lie to dig him deeper.
Danny wasn’t sure what whim possessed him in the moment as he dug his heels in and lied like his life depended on it. “Yeah, I did. Vlad–Mayor Masters–he’s my godfather, so Phantom and I were treated like cousins.”
“Danny!” Sam hissed under her breath.
“That’s so cool, how come you never said anything?” Kwan asked.
To Danny’s credit, he was able to keep up with the lie without much hesitation beyond a bit of stuttering that could be passed off as nerves. “Phantom, uh, didn’t want Vlad to find out he was a ghost, and I could tie Phantom back to the identity he had when alive.”
Dash looked like he bit into something sour. “Are you–are you friends?”
Danny glanced back at Tucker and Sam. Sam was shaking her head and Tucker was nodding his.
“How do you think he gets Fenton tech?”
That “revelation” caused the A-Listers and the rest of their classmates to break out into scandalized whispering. The overlapping voices were starting to give him a headache. The universe took mercy on Danny, however, as Lancer picked that moment to walk into the classroom. He placed his messenger bag down on the desk at the front of the room and looked sharply at the chattering students.
“Hello, class. I know there’s been some exciting news going around, but we are here to learn. Now, turn your books to page 147.”
The talking amongst students died down as, grumbling, they turned their attention towards A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Danny let his head fall to hit his desk and groaned. He was starting to realize that maybe, just maybe, he was going a little too far.

Miraculous Ghosts
Danny and friends visit Paris and come across trouble, as well as the cities local superheroes.
Lately, Hawkmoth has been recycling villains. There are only so many people in Paris and not everyone gets emotionally vulnerable strongly enough or long enough to be akumatized. Those that do, and commonly like Mr. Pidgeon, usually had a certain fixation that was easy to exploit. The thing was, both Marienette and Chat Noir already knew their weakness, the items that would most likely get akumatized, the whole schtick. So the battles were really fast and easy.
A new face always had to be met with caution, the lack of knowledge regarding the person was dangerous and if the pair wasn’t careful, they could end up losing the battle. And their Miraculous.
With the start of summer came tourist season, and tourists could be victims of akumatization. Which seemed to be the case within the first week. 3 villains, all new faces, but the pair had gotten lucky with the similar powers that the heroes had faced before and the three were all defeated in a timely manner.
There was a short week of nothing happening.
And then all hell broke loose.
—————————————————————
Marienette knew the start of the tourist season had begun just based on the filled streets of strange faces, sunglasses, cameras, and the use of foreign languages. This also was noticed based on how busy her parents' shop had become, and how rarely she was managing to escape outside to enjoy some of summer's freedom. The good thing was she was able to brush up on some of her English, since the tourists usually spoke the common American language and the experience was always welcome to help boost her grades in the upcoming year. Even if it was a few months away.
She’d figured out the best way to sneak off during any attacks was to ‘use the bathroom’ or ‘accidently’ make a mess and excuse herself to clean up. It had worked during the first week and she didn’t have to do anything the past week since Hawkmoth seemed to take a break. She finished serving a young pair of Americans, a tall girl with orange hair, and a lanky boy nearly the same height with raven black hair.
She had to admit, some Americans had a certain charm, but the bustle of the kitchen quickly caught her attention as she was back to serving the next person in line.
Just as Chloe waltzed in, basically knocking the american boy over as she strutted to the front of the line, causing people to cast glares in her direction. The boy hissed when he fell, the American girl offering to help him up in English as he shook his head and stood up, dusting himself off as Marienette went to deal with the walking form of pure rich privilege. “Urg, Dupain-Cheng’s dingy little cafe? Of course she works here, it just smells like burnt bread.” She huffed.
Marienette bristled, but put on her customer service smile, noticing the poor Americans victim to Chloe leaving the shop. She was hoping to offer them a replacement after dealing with Chloe but it was a little late now. “Ma’am, unless you are here to pick up an order, you will have to wait in line like everyone else.” She strained.
“Ma’am? I am Chloe Dubois! I don’t need to wait in line like some sort of peasant! Just give me whatever you didn’t make.”
Marienette had to swallow down any returning insults and put down one of their most expensive items, handing it over with a clearly strained smile, “have a nice day.”
Chloe huffed with her baked goods in hand but left as soon as she appeared, allowing Marienette some relief. Very little damage. A little annoyance but nothing worthy of an akuma-.
An explosion was heard from outside, and Marienette groaned internally.
She just had to jinx it.
—————————————————————
Ladybug dove off to the side as the villain shot out a ray of white, plasma-like energy. Adrien, fighting as Chat Noir, and his partner were having a hell of a time with this dude. He spotted the chaos on the news, the villain calling himself ‘Black Hole’ and giving his poor Lady a hard time. When he finally arrived on the scene, he wasn’t able to do much either.
The villain was basically a godly powerhouse, floating in the air, shooting burning rays of heated plasma, or even ice! Ice and plasma! Sometimes he MIXED the two beams to create an even WORSE beam! Whenever either of the heroes got close enough to land a hit, their punches and kicks would go right through him. Then he would DISAPPEAR. REAPPEARING AND LANDING ANOTHER HEAVY BLOW. He would fly around like gravity was non-existent, and these abilities didn’t stop there. Every so often, he would yank out this thermos looking thing and shoot out these wormholes. Or… possibly black holes. Calling them black holes felt wrong though… since they glowed green and swirled before disappearing after a few moments.
The villain's outfit was a change of pace too. It was impossible to figure out his age since he was completely covered in a thick fabric material that reminded him of space suits. Yet looked a lot less bulky than actual space suits, thin yet sturdy metal covered his forearms, and formed a backpack that was attached by a wide metal collar that spread to his collarbone and slightly covered his shoulders, as well as a metal strap that wrapped around right under his chest. A plated, metal belt circled his waist with a clip for the green black hole thermos, and thigh high boots with a similar fabric to his suit covered most of his legs, thick plastic looking platform soles attached at the feet. Black bands wrapped around the ankles of the boots. A helmet covered his entire face, a metal frame covering the bottom half like a muzzle while the top was a tinted glass dome following the shape of his head, the inside of it entirely black except for the eerie glow of a single, left eye. The helmet had a tube on the back of the helmet that connected to his backpack, but neither he or Ladybug could figure out if it was essential or for decoration. His entire colouring was monotone, much bleaker than their previous villains. His suit was black, the boots, forearm cuffs, belt, backpack and collar were all a middle shade of grey, the only flash of colour being the glow of the single toxic green eye amongst the darkness of the helmet.
The dude was disturbing. He didn’t make any sound, in fact he seemed to ABSORB the sound around him. Like they were in space.
Paris was getting destroyed more and more by the second and the two didn’t know what to do. The Lady’s lucky charm turned into a thermos, which she didn’t have a clue how to use in the situation in front of them. Maybe it was a hint? A clue about soup? Or getting the villains thermos?
The problem with the last idea was that neither he or Ladybug could TOUCH this villain. And each of them were getting worse and worse for wear by the second. He could tell Ladybug was getting ready to get some sort of help, but who could make something untouchable… touchable? Chat even tried to use cataclysm on the villain's thermos while Ladybug had distracted him, but he twisted at the last moments and grabbed Chat's hand, draining cataclysm before he tossed him aside like it was nothing.
Another blast of plasma sent the two tumbling away from each other, and then a blast of ice caught Chat off guard. Cold shot up his arm as his muscles convulsed, a scream caught in his throat as the ice trapped his arm in such a tight and sturdy prison. He twisted to try and use his free arm to claw the other out of the ice, a shadow in the corner of his vision causing him to twist and jolt in surprise as the villain stood right in front of him. The glowing green eye was cold as it bore into him, and the villain grew closer and closer, drifting off the ground and absorbing every noise around him, the air around them dropping to freezing temperatures. Chats breath formed in front of him as gasps, panic clear in the quick breaths, fear intensifying as the only thing he could hear was his own heartbeat and blood roaring through his veins.
The villain's hand shot out and grabbed his free one- the one with his miraculous.
Chat heard Ladybug cry out as the villain gripped onto the ring, a quick glance showing she too was trapped.
That she was next.
Chat tried to keep his fingers curled, but he was battered and weak, and the villain hadn’t even broken a sweat during their fight. Prying open his fingers was easy, the ring vulnerable. This was it. He used cataclysm too soon and now he was powerless. He couldn’t escape. He couldn’t save anyone. He was a failure. This was the end of Paris.
They lost.
—————————————————————
Fucking. Vlad.
This entire trip had Danny on edge and it was all because of Vlad.
At first, he thought maybe, for once, Vlad wasn’t being a piece of shit when offering the family a fully paid trip to France for two weeks. He was suspicious. He probably just wanted the family out of town to do some shady shit. But a two week trip to France wasn’t the WORST thing a man could do. Especially in comparison to kidnapping and cloning.
But then his parents got sick. A common flu. Right before the trip. And they wanted Jazz and him to experience Paris. Then Vlad offered to be a chaperone.
It was all a play to get Danny alone for two weeks and try and manipulate him.
He did manage to get Tucker and Sam to tag along, something about friends being his family and the two unused tickets his parents left behind. But Vlad knew how to separate the group. How to corner Danny at the worst moments and whisper annoying remarks in his ear as he tried to get away.
He survived a week. He only had one more week to go. Tucker and Sam were off checking out some places for lunch while Jazz and Danny went to pick up sweets for everyone to share after their meal.
Vlad was off doing who knew what so Danny had put him to the back of his mind.
The cafe they found was… well it smelled incredible. There were so many baked goods on display and the air was filled with the warm and sweet smell of the goodies. He let Jazz do most of the talking, she wanted to practice her French and Danny had recently discovered that being dubbed the ghost king meant that now he had a natural grasp on all verbal languages, including the dead ones. This meant his speech in French was almost flawless, and his understanding was like he was listening to someone speak English. He couldn’t read other languages though, just speak them. He was told though by a few locals he had an odd accent. It wasn’t an american one, just… odd.
So Jazz ordered the treats and the pair was headed out to meet Danny’s friends.
Then some blonde girl with way too much make-up basically knocked him to the ground, not even sending him a glance that indicated she knew what she did. It was annoying, but he dealt with bullies on a daily basis back at Amity Park. Well… used to. But he knew better than to waste any thought on some jerk like her. He sadly looked at the ruined cat paw shaped cookies, the icing ruined and the cookies crushed under his weight when he fell.
Standing up with the help of Jazz, they left the shop as Danny insisted on finding somewhere to wash off the icing stuck to his shirt. He liked this shirt too… he hoped it wouldn’t stain too badly. It was better than ectoplasm at least, that stuff needed to be burned out, there was no such thing as washing out ectoplasm.
Jazz asked to help, but Danny brushed her off, telling her he could easily clean himself off by himself.
And then Vlad chose that moment to corner him.
—————————————————————
“Hello Daniel.”
Danny splashed water wildly as he spun around to glare at the older Halfa, hissing out an ‘Ancients!’ in surprise. “What the hell, Vlad?” He spat, “sneaking up on a kid in the bathroom? I should just call the police and tell them about all that stalking you like to do.”
“Aren’t you tired of this childish game?” He hummed.
“Not really, seeing as I’m a child and I love games,” Danny sneered.
“I’m older, more experienced, and stronger. I am also patient, little badger. And it’s easy to wear you down. By the end of this trip, you are going to be begging to be my-.”
“Son? Pet? Little slave that does everything you ask? Sorry, Vladdy, but I ain’t the type to listen to crazy fruit loops. How about you go enjoy the company of your French rich friends like that Agreste dude instead of stalking me and trying to get with my mom and kill my dad. Might do you some good to make more friends than just your cat.”
“Oh Daniel, you throw your petty insults but I know ways to break you even further. You know, a lot of accidents happen in Paris. Terrible things.”
Danny felt his eyes flash as he spun on his heel, “listen to me, if you even consider-!”
“Not to mention your brand new ghostly responsibilities as… the ghost king? Imagine that. A child as the king. You don’t even know everything about ghosts.”
“Neither do you!” Danny spat.
“Oh but I know so much more. And I could easily teach you-.”
“Just shut up!”
“When you mess up, when the ghost zone begins to fall apart, you will wish you took my offer, but I may not be as forgiving when that happens.”
“I said shut up!”
“And we both know the moment the ghost zone falls apart, so will this world. All because a boy became king and didn’t take help he was so graciously offered.”
“SHUT THE HELL UP!”
Something inside him shifted, and Danny suddenly felt his mind cloud, a deep voice echoed his mind.
“A cruel man harassing a young teen that wants nothing to do with him. A shame when someone can’t take a hint.
Black Hole. I am Hawkmoth. I can give you the power to show this old man that he never should consider looking in your direction ever again.
All I ask is for Ladybug and Chat Noir’s miraculous. Do this for me, and Vlad Masters will never be an issue for you ever again.”
Danny’s clouded mind and building rage smirked at the offer, his voice echoing as he glanced up at Vlad who was giving him a confused look. “Yes, Hawkmoth.”
Darkness engulfed him and then his memory began to fail him.
—————————————————————
A boomerang slammed into Black Hole’s head, causing it to jerk to the side and a small crack formed on the glass that was hit. The metal boomerang dropped to the ground and Black Hole slowly looked down at it as a robotic voice cried out from it, “ghost detected!” And then a recorded voice spouted out, “take that, spook!”
Black Hole’s head slightly tilted at the noise it made, a hand subconsciously rubbing the crack it left behind. Then he twisted his gaze back to Chat Noir, going back to taking the hero’s miraculous.
Then a shout came from behind Black Hole and Chat caught the eyes of a teenage girl yelling and holding a bat over her head. Black Hole twisted, his body turning that transparent look whenever Chat or Ladybug had tried to hit him before, and Chat knew that it was useless. “No! Stop! Get out of here-!” He screamed at the citizen, but stopped when the bat connected with the villain's head and sent him flying into a wall.
Chat was at a loss for words for once in his life, watching the villain slowly pry himself from the wall from being hit by a baseball bat when he and Lady couldn’t land a single hit. He looked back at the citizen and shrieked as she raised the bat above her head and swung down at him, flinching and squeezing his eyes shut. She hit something, causing it to shatter and then- his hand was free!
He opened his eyes and looked at his hand in awe and then back at the girl, “who the heck are you?”
She huffed, dropping the bat casually on her shoulder, “Sam Manson. Friend of the idiot that didn’t do his research before taking a trip here. I’m surprised this didn’t happen earlier.”
Chat blinked, “you- you know that’s your friend? And knew this would happen?”
Sam shrugged, “the booo-merang is never wrong. And yeah, my friend there is not exactly the most emotionally stable person on the planet. Sorry it took us a while to get here. You guys really do move fast.”
Chat just opened and closed his mouth a few times, then yelled as she suddenly swung the bat again and smacked the villain in the gut as he got close during their exchange, knocking him sideways but not down like the first time. Black Hole turned again, making a snarling sound before he was blasted by some sort of green ray and sent flying sideways, rolling along the pavement before smashing into a car. Another teen jogged over with Ladybug behind him, dropping his hands to his knees as he wheezed, “I have ran… way too much for this to be considered a vacation.”
“M’Lady-, what is going on?” Chat asked.
“This is Tucker, and his friend Sam, and they know how to help,” Ladybug quickly explained, glancing back at Black Hole. “We need to draw his attention and get that thermos off of him, then Sam and Tucker can use this,” she held up the thermos from her lucky charm, “and we can get his akuma.”
“Akuma is in the thermos, knock it off,” Chat summarized. He heard his miraculous beeping, a sign he was close to his limit.
“Let’s end this fast.”
—————————————————————
Ladybug held the booo-merang in one hand as the two teens and Chat drew Black Hole’s attention, the teens equipped with weapons that seemed to get past some of Black Holes abilities.
She narrowed her gaze, waiting for the perfect moment, then threw the weapon, watching it arch in the air then knock the thermos off of the villain's waist. The thermos clattered to the ground and drew his attention, he quickly twisted and dove to try and retrieve it, which was when a bright beam erupted from the polka dot thermos Ladybug had given the teens. The beam caught the villain's legs and he was tugged back, his form pulling towards it like taffy as he twisted and a horrid scream of anger burst from him. He tried to escape it, flailing and reaching for anything to hang on to, but in a matter of seconds he was pulled into the canister and Sam slammed the lid shut. The screaming stopped and Ladybug made her way over to Black Hole’s thermos, stomping on it and crushing it, releasing the Akuma hidden inside. With a flick of her wrist her lucky charm turned back into its original form, dumping Black Hole onto the street, then the butterfly was caught and purified, and another click of her miraculous, she let the little bug flutter away harmlessly. With a shout, ‘Miraculous Ladybug!’, everything around them was engulfed in black and red as the damages were undone around them.
At last, the villain's form was released of Hawkmoth's influence and it left a lanky teen laying on the street. He slowly sat up with a groan and a hand to his head and she then realized it was the same teen as from the shop. So once again, this was Chloe’s fault. She turned her attention to the two teens that helped her, noticing Chat let out a hasty farewell and thanks and disappeared around a corner. “Thank you, both of you. Without your help… well, without your help we may have lost that battle. But how in the world did you do that?”
“What the fuck just happened?” The teen groaned, “I feel like the booo-merang smacked me in the head like… fifty times.”
“That’s because I may have smacked you a few times with the fenton creep stick,” Sam shrugged as she helped her friend up who gave her wide eyes in return.
“You fucking what?”
Tucker took a step forward to answer Ladybug’s question, “let's just say back in our town, we have very specific supervillains that have abilities that make it hard for regular attacks to land. So we have specialized gear. Sam and I did a bit of research before heading here and figured if any of us got Akumatized, we may reflect some of those traits.”
“I… see…” Ladybug hummed, “and where did you say you were all from?” The three cast a few glances between each other, but before any of them could answer, her miraculous beeped angrily as she quickly realized she was out of time. “Thank you again for your help, if we could meet again to exchange some of that tech to make sure this never happens again-,” she quickly tried to set up a meet up before Sam held up a hand.
“This won’t happen again. A lot of what happened here is very unique to Amity, so once we finish our vacation, you won’t see this kind of thing ever again.”
Ladybug only had more questions but the angry beeping only forced her to nod and bid a quick farewell before getting out of sight to let Tiki take a rest. Marienette held out a few macaroons for Tiki as her thoughts swirled in her head. The questions about the odd American trio and how they knew how to deal with a villain as unique as Black Hole.
She may be able to corner them later. They did say they had to ‘finish their vacation.’
And in the meantime, it was time to do some research on this place called ‘Amity’.
—————————————————————
Danny didn’t remember a lot of what happened while he was the villain, Black Hole. It was like a dream, he kinda remembered the feeling, vague details, but nothing specific.
What he wished he remembered was whatever he did to Vlad. He must have done something because his memories cut out right after Vlad harassed him in the bathroom and after the event, the froot loop avoided him during the entire trip. Even refused to make eye contact!
What he would give just for a few seconds of that memory! Or for someone to have recorded it!
For now though he got to reap the rewards, flashing his eyes green when Vlad would glance over and causing the man to flinch. Oh man, he was going to abuse this newfound intimidation ability till the bitter end.

Fathering a Phantom ch2
I just wanna Talk, I swear
Here we have the chapter 2 for that fic from earlier! Once again, here ya go @five-rivers @floralflowerpower and @uwuplasmiusuwu
“Cole I’m going to murder someone,” was the first thing that Toby said to his husband upon arriving once more in their temporary sanctuary. Cole paused mid throw of his javelin, electric sparks crackling up the polearm, and turned to look at his husband. Toby’s wings were ablaze, his nails sharpened into claws, and his eyes a colorful storm, as though he couldn’t decide what to turn into for maximum lethality. Cole set down his javelin and wrapped around Toby in a hug.
“Who are you planning to murder, sunshine? And should I join in? I haven’t gotten into a good fight since we got here, which is a shame.” Cole coalesced from a mass of clouds into something a bit closer to his original body when Toby relaxed in his embrace, running his fingers through shimmering feathers made of embers. “You really do look like a star like this, by the way.”
“There was, I think, a war forged around here who fired a bunch of rockets at a child! You know that liminal kid I told you about?”
“Oh right, we’re rare in this realm, huh?” Cole’s face scrunched up in confusion and he arched a brow. “I thought the liminal around here beat up the tyrant ruling the place when he woke up?”
“I didn’t exactly ask about what must’ve sucked when I half blew up the metalhead.” Toby flew over to the couch and flopped face first into it. “Now I gotta track him down.”
“Why only half? Sounds like someone you’d take out in one go if you had the drop on em.”
“Well, do you wanna traumatize a kid of unknown cultural origins? He’s so small, and his friends were clearly still living humans. I dunno if he’s seen someone die before, let alone a ghost getting Ended. If I recall, committing murder is a bad way to start a friendship with a child.”
Cole snorted and gave Toby a pat on the shoulder. “Alright, fair, Sildar didn’t like me much after that rescue. But hey, now you can put that on your to do list! Murder, the answer to most problems.” Toby laughed, phasing through the couch when Cole sat on him. “There he is, my giggly celestial chandelier.”
“Do you even remember what a chandelier is? I know you broke like three of them over someone’s head, but I forget whose head.” Toby put out the flames in his feathers and stretched, satisfied when his spine popped a few times. “It’s nice to still be able to do that.”
“I’ll be honest, being a cloud has made the sound of your joints popping kinda gross to me. It sounds like you’ve still got a flesh and blood body.” Cole sat up, scratching his head. “Do you still have a humanoid body? With like, meat and bones and stuff?”
“Probably, yeah. We’ll see, cause if so that’ll come in handy with helping out this liminal kid. Said his name is Danny Phantom.” Toby paused, the feeling of his feather being torn an odd and upsetting one. “Speaking of whom, I should go meet up with them. Think you can find this ‘Skulker’ guy while I educate some kids?”
Cole kissed Toby on the cheek and gave him a thumbs up. “Will do! I can’t promise there’ll be much left of him afterward though, I’m not a fan of idiots who attack kids.” Toby smiled and in a flash of light and beat of wings, he was gone. Cole nodded to himself and grabbed his maul, crackling with electric arcs, and opened up the door to their temporary Sanctuary. “Now then, who the fuck is Skulker?”
After having a small debate about where they couldn’t go and why, team Phantom finally ended up at the indoor roller rink that was partially destroyed by a giant ghost crab a while ago, and sat down at a table that Danny cleared of debris with an ectoblast or three. “Ok guys, I think this is a good enough place to call him up.”
“Are we sure it’s a good idea to call him at all?” Sam held up the feather she’d kept in her pocket, turning it about to watch the golden flame dance. “He took down Skulker pretty fast and it usually takes you a good half hour to do that, Danny.”
“Skulker specializes in attacking Danny is all, Sam. We’ve got the weapons to handle pretty much any ghost we normally deal with, and Danny took down the king of ghosts. I’m pretty sure he can handle anyone else.”
“Plus, Toby wrecked Skulker pretty bad. If he wanted to fight, I’m pretty sure he would’ve started a fight.” Danny condensed his ectoblasts into one ball of ectoplasma and stretched it out into a pole. “Imagine all the cool stuff he could show us!”
“Alright, if you say so.” Sam snapped the feather in half, surprised by how easy it was to do, and grabbed her ecto-pistol. For a moment, there was silence. Then the sound of wingbeats filled the room and Toby appeared above the rink as though landing from a long flight.
“That’s a spell I’m not used to casting frequently in a day. Heyo kids!” Toby waved, tucking his wings by his sides while walking closer. “Sorry for the delay, I was talking to my husband. So, names again just to be sure: Sam, Tucker, and Danny, right?”
“Yeah, that’s right. What do you mean spell, exactly? Do ghosts have magic ontop of the other ghost powers now?” Tucker spun the lipstick laser around in his fingers, remembering Desiree’s magic and Freakshow’s staff.
“Anyone who can do magic keeps the ability in death, usually. I’m not dead though, I’m Deathless.” He spread his wings and spun around, thumbs pointing to his chest. “I was born awesome like this, and so was Cole. But, based on your faces you weren’t born like this?”
“No,” Sam said, gesturing at Danny. “This is a recent thing, it’s been since about…” Sam paused, her gaze landing on the wall behind Toby. “March of last year, so 14 months.”
“Yeah, god, we’ve been doing this for over a year now, haven’t we?” Tucker, who had held up a camera to record everything Toby was saying, slumped a bit in his seat and sighed. “Feels like it’s been like this forever and like it happened yesterday.”
Toby stared at them all like they’d each grown extra limbs in odd places – Danny even checked to make sure he hadn’t done that while feeling both old and young at the same time due to how little time had actually passed – before zipping over to Danny and holding his hands just over the teen’s face. “Oh my gods, you’re a baby.”
“I am a teenager, thank you.” Danny gently pulled Toby’s hands away from his face, a brow raised. “What, is 14 infantile to angels, feather man?”
“You’re only 14 months dead, Danny, that makes you a baby ghost.” Sam snorted and Tucker covered his mouth to try and hide his laughter. A snap of Toby’s fingers and flowers began growing in Tucker’s hat, and seeds appeared above Sam, growing into flowers as they fell all over her. “If you’ve had regular interactions with that metal head, no wonder your aura’s all aggro.”
“Skulker’s not exactly the worst of the ghosts we’ve had to fight over the months,” Danny said.
“Oh yeah, that’d have to be either Walker, Spectra, or Vlad. It’s really a toss up between Spectra and Vlad, if you ask me.”
“Vlad wants to kill Danny’s dad because he sees his mom as a trophy that was stolen from him, while Spectra tried to kill Jazz just to depress an entire school so she could feed on the misery to look young.” Sam brushed away the flowers and weighed two in her hands. “Yeah, those around the same level of grossly evil.”
Toby’s wings ignited at some point while Sam was talking, and the sunlight streaming in from the hole in the roof grew somewhat brighter. He reached into a bag he had strapped to his waist and pulled out a book and a pen, his smile all teeth. “Tell me, please, a list of all the adult ghosts who have attacked you children? I’d like to have a discussion with each of them.”
“If we give you their names,” Danny said before Tucker could answer, “do you promise not to go slaughtering them all? I don’t need to know ghostly body language at all to know that flaming wings come from a place of anger and imminent violence.”
“When did you read a thesaurus, Danny?”
“Sam, I’m insulted: I know tri-syllabic words. I can even say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”
“I promise not to slaughter all of the ghosts you inform me hurt you in the past few months, yes. Names?” When Tucker listed off names, Toby wrote them down with an inhuman speed, and Danny exchanged a look with Sam, worried about how exactly that deal might be loopholed around. “Right,” Toby chirped while slamming his book shut, “I’m here to answer some questions of yours, not just ramble about myself and assemble a… list of people to talk to. Got any?”
“So many that I don’t even know where to start.”

Constellations Ch. 1
@ladylynse This is all your fault :)
Next Chapter
Draco sat stiffly on the bench next to him. For all that Danny had joked and teased, Draco never really lost the tenseness in his shoulders around him. Everything about him, in the enormous shadow of the house they currently sat under, was controlled and measured in regards to Danny’s presence.
Danny however was sprawled on the ground playing with Spooky. His robes fanned out around him, picking up all sorts of grass and dirt on the expensive fabric. Danny had made his thoughts on robes very clear from the beginning of this summer; when the elder Malfoy’s had called in a very discreet tailor to dress Danny up like the wizard he very much was not.
“To keep up appearances.” Lucius had said.
Danny would have told him exactly where to shove the robes if it hadn’t been for the sad look crossing Narcissa’s face in a flash, or the snidely pleading look Draco had shot him.
Honestly. How anyone could look both snide and pleading at the same time was beyond him.
“Mother is allowing me to spend next summer in America.”
Danny paused in trying to train Spooky to play dead. “With us?”
Draco shot him his patented exactly-how-much-of-an-idiot-are-you looks he usually reserved for the Gryffindors he whines about all the time. “Who else would I go to?”
“I don’t know. You could always have a long lost twin or something. Oh wait….”
Draco let out a huff, but the twitching of his mouth showed his amusement, “You aren’t as funny as you think you are.”
“Uhh, I’m hilarious thank you very much.”
They were silent once again. Danny slowly sat up, brushing grass and leaves off his robes. He looked at Draco, watching as his eyes constantly flit back and forth across the grounds. It had taken a while for Danny to get why he did this.
At first he thought Draco was watching for danger, which was fair. Danny would do the same thing sometimes, watching for ghosts during a calm week because he gets anxious when no one has attacked him for a while. (Which was a whole nother thing he was pointedly not thinking about.) But Draco didn’t do it when they were holed up in their room and Draco was explaining potions and wizard astronomy while Danny tried to explain video games and rocket ships.
Danny actually preferred when they were arguing in the bedroom, because he saw a passion burn in Draco that he usually buried deep down; bringing a spark of life into cool grey eyes that were so different from Danny’s, but still very much the same.
But right now they were hanging out in the gardens behind the manor, and Draco kept his eyes out for anyone who might catch him “acting unbefitting of a Malfoy”.
Danny had phased Lucius’s cane partly through the floor after that comment, causing the usually graceful man to trip and fall to the ground. Draco had looked flabbergasted, but Danny preferred that over the look of shame that had been on his face after they were caught goofing off in the greenhouse.
“Lucius is actually going to let you go?” Danny asked when it became clear that Draco was not going to say anything else. “What happened to all that ‘filthy muggles’ crap he was spouting about like, an hour ago?”
Draco tensed even more. “You wouldn’t understand-”
“If it’s the squib thing again-”
“To protect us.” Draco snapped. “There’s something happening this year. Something big. And Mother wants us as far away from it as possible. Your muggles have proven themselves capable of caring after a magical child, so it’s only reasonable I spend next summer with you, as you have spent with us.”
Danny stood up and faced Draco, looking down slightly as his brother was still sitting on the bench. He guessed that Draco knew exactly what who was coming. And Danny himself put the pieces together after various eavesdropping sessions on Lucius and Narcissa’s occasional fights. But he wasn’t going to bring it up here, what with the potential ears hiding in the bushes and shadows. Secrets and personal conversations had a nasty way of turning up in the elder Malfoys’ knowledge, and as much as he liked Narcissa, Lucius just reminded him too much of Vlad; they both played life like a game of chess and had no qualms over sacrificing pawns in their games.
Danny hated chess. Wizard chess included no matter how cool it looked.
“My family.” Danny corrected. “Not just muggles.”
“We’re your family.”
“Lucius and Narcissa are strangers.” Danny said flatly. “They may be the reason I’m here, in both ways, but I don’t really know them. Narcissa has made somewhat of an effort, but no matter how cool she’s being about this; she’s still not my mom. Lucius is definitely not my dad.”
“And me?”
To anyone else, Draco might have sounded antagonistic and challenging. But Danny had gotten to know his newfound twin over the past few months. He may be generally oblivious to most things, but he could see the doubt and insecurity in Draco’s eyes. Danny had not spent his summer trying to prove to Draco that his friendship wasn’t conditional just to lose it now.
Danny grinned, “Dude you became my friend when you pushed me into the pond trying to get the snitch. I think you’re family by now, and my parents are going to think so too. Family doesn’t begin or end in blood.”
Tucker would be rolling on the floor in hysterics if he ever found out Danny used a Supernatural quote like that.
But Draco just looked shocked and confused, in his own snobbish way. And considering that bloodlines seem to be a big deal to the wizarding upper class, that would seem a rather radical statement.
Oh he couldn’t wait for him to meet Sam in all her activist rage against classism.
Draco’s eyes flitted across the ground again. “I always wanted a sibling,” He let out in a rush.
He met Danny’s eyes, “Mother had grown up with a sister. Her cousins all had at least one sibling as well. She had hoped it to be the case when she had her own children.”
He dropped his gaze, glaring at the small flowers scattered at his feet, “But the Malfoy bloodline has been cursed to only bear one heir. Being twins did nothing to change that. It’s why you were born a squib and Father gave you away. If you had been born with magic….The curse would have taken one of us.”
“Screw the curse, I consider you my brother.”
Draco snapped his head up.
Danny just shrugged, a wry grin on his face. “Last I checked I was officially disowned and declared dead,” Ha. “And I don’t think I’ll be in the will anytime soon after what I did to Lucius's wine collection.”
“He’s still not pleased about that.”
“Narcissa thought it was funny. And” Danny grinned wider, “Being my brother means you get an overbearing sister named Jazz as well. Two siblings at absolutely no cost to you.”
He would say three, but he wasn’t quite ready to bring up the whole Dani business and he especially wasn’t about to drag her into this long lost twin mess while she was still trying to figure herself out away from the shadow of being his clone.
Do wizards even have clones? How would he even bring that up in conversation? Doesn’t matter, problem for future Danny.
“So bro-”
“Do not call me ‘bro’ ever again.”
“-brother, twin, male sibling.” Draco groaned, “I cannot wait to take you to a muggle mall for some jeans.”
The look of absolute horror on his face sent Danny laughing. He couldn’t wait for next summer.

Swagger Bishie idea of sorts where Dash and his friends accept him being gay, but he takes a bet and now he has to convince Danny, who recently also came out as bi, to go to the dance with him. Dash is like this is sooo humiliating, asking a loser out to the dance, especially this loser. A bet is a bet though, so he tells Danny they're going to the dance together and Danny flips him off and walks off. He tries doing the whole jock locker lean as he asks (so humiliating) Danny to go with him to the dance, and Danny laughs in his face.
Dash isn't about to lose a bet because some nerd thinks he's better than him, this is getting personal, so he tries to get closer to Danny--
And in the process finds out how strange, brave, mysterious, and savage Danny is on top of being an absolute dork about things like space, video games, and puns. Next thing he knows he actually wants to go to the dance with Danny.
As er fun and angsty "finding out your date asked you out as part of a bet" is, I think I'd like it more if Paulina noticed how deep Dash was getting and called off the bet. She goes full wingman on Dash's behalf and tries lifting Danny's low opinion of him by bragging about his good points, but Danny is a tough nut to crack after he spent years as Dash's favorite punching bag every time something went wrong.
Dash tries to argue it's not like he likes him that much, Danny is just a little, tiny bit cooler than he thought, but then he sees Danny sass a ghost the way he used to sass Dash, and fudge, he is in deep isn't he? He tries to show Danny how cool he can be by bench pressing or something, but Danny's a ghost who can lift a whole dang bus, he ain't impressed. So Dash mopes and kicks himself for being such an idiot all these years, so focused on his pride he couldn't see how awesome Danny was.
Cue Danny Phantom needing Dash's help after he gets injured or needs to hide from the Fentons/GiW, and Danny finally starts seeing another side of Dash. He is trying, he really does like Danny Fenton, he wants to make amends.
Danny can't forgive him right away... but he can let down his walls a little and let Dash come in a little at a time.

Danny Phantom au where everything is the same except when Danny caused the portal accident, the whole of Amity Park got sucked into the ghost world
Jack and Maddie are absolutely ecstatic
While the other citizens plus mayor are like "Put our town back where you found it OR SO HELP ME, FENTONS"
Danny is crushed by guilt because whoops, but hey, maybe developing in the ghost zone helps his ghost form look more ghostly, and maybe it's easier to practice and master his powers but at what cost
He still has to protect his town from ghosts because accessing those tasty, terrified humans just became 95% easier
Danny's actually gotta make friends and be a go-between for the humans and ghosts because he can't just shove the inconvenient ghosties back through the portal, so, like, with the Lunch Lady they could probably get a deal going with her where she can help supply them with food so long as everyone maintains a balanced diet (and she's updated on how nutrition works so that those who don't want meat can get protein from other sources)
Vlad hears about a human town being displaced in the GZ, realizes its Maddie's home, and is like "Yes! An opportunity!" And offers his protection in exchange for idk becoming the mayor or something but Danny is like "I got it handled, thanks, but I could use your help" but Vlad doesn't yet know why he should care about this pipsqueak who just ruined his extortion plan. He'll just have to show everyone how unprepared Danny is to protect them, but he's not prepared for the town to come to their protector's aid because EXCUSE YOU MR. VAMPIRE GHOST THIS ONE IS OURS, and idk maybe they discover then that humans are untouchable because they've always run away from ghosts in the past instead of standing their ground. Point is Danny would meet Plasmius long before he meets Vlad or hears his story
I just want the towns people to become comfortable in their new ghost world and get a whole system set up with the future ghost king existing governments and gain a respect and understanding for species different from their own
Conspiracy theory: "The Fentons didn't pull us into another dimension-- they killed us! This is the ghost world! We're actually dead!" No one likes that theory
It probably only lasts for, like, six months or a year or whatever, but it leaves its mark on the humans, and with the town disappearing for a whole year/whatever before reappearing again, they're definitely going to get a reputation like the Bermuda Triangle lol

I'm just gonna do ahead and headcanon the Fright Knight as trans
Not for any character reason, but just so I can picture him being born as a noble human woman like Dora, hiding his sex to become a knight of the realm, dying in battle, and rising as a ghost that is unmistakably a man and who will cut anyone who dishonors his new leige lord by using the wrong pronouns for Danny

It’s about the angst👌

I've been thinking about the whole Ghost King Danny thing (as one does) specifically about combining it with a Danny on the run situation where he's running/ flying from city to city
He's not running away from his parents this time, though
I'm thinking 14-16 year old Danny is going to think being asked to be the king is actually really cool; give him that ego boost! King? Him? Really? Wow! He might point out he's just a kid tho, he still has to attend school and live with his parents and everything. Could they maybe ask him again when he's 18? But they insist he must become King NOW which is a bit too much pressure for a high school student. Not enough to make him run away from home tho. So final straw?
When they say they want him as Ghost King they mean GHOST King, none of this divided loyalty business.
I.e. murder time!
Still, Danny has fought off ghosts before. What makes this different is they're not fighting him as a ghost, they're targeting his human form, before he has a chance to shift. His ghost sense becomes his best defense. His classmates have no idea why ghosts are suddenly trying to kill Fenton, and it freaks them out, making Danny even more of an outcast because they're now afraid to be around him. His parents try to protect him, but their inventions do as much harm as good. He debates telling them the truth (partly so they can help protect him better, partly so that if he is killed, they'll know its him when they see Phantom) but then Jazz gets hurt protecting him from something that would have killed him, and he makes the hard decision to just go, go now
Sam and Tucker try to come with him, but afraid they'd get hurt just like Jazz, Danny points out they would just slow him down and leaves them behind. Jack and Maddie list him as a runaway before Sam and Tucker get a chance to stop them, so cops are also after him. Danny's friends are the only clue to what is happening, where Danny might have gone, ect., so Jack and Maddie set upon trying to pry all of Danny's secrets from his friends.
But Danny won't be entirely alone.
His ghostly enemies, Skulker, Ember, Johnny, Kitty, none of them want him to be King either. It becomes a twist where Danny's enemies become his allies as they protect him on his journey from the ghosts chasing after him. They work together to keep him alive, trying to remember what it means to be human and how to keep him fed and healthy (but don't get the wrong idea, Kid, this is just to keep you from ruling over us, this isn't because we care or anything). It's a weird situation for them that they're not entirely comfortable with it (Skulker for one would rather just kill and skin the whelp himself before the king makers get the chance, but then he might be King. Ew.) But they make do because the alternative is Danny gaining enough power and prestige make them full on regret ever giving him trouble
I do have a happy ending in mind, but there is of course a tragic possibility for anyone more inclined toward the angst :P

Ectober Day 4: Wanderlust
Read on AO3
The young girl picked at one of the ragged holes in the hem of  her grimy sweatshirt. She was the only person at the bus stop so late at night. The streetlight just down the sidewalk cast a flickering light across her gaunt face and drooping eyelids as she fought to stay awake.
Dani had been slowly making her way back to Amity Park for several months now. After her and Danny had taken Vlad down in his lab, she’d left to explore the world. Danny had helped stabilize her with that ecto-dejecto stuff his dad made and she’d felt almost invincible. That had lasted maybe a year.
It started slowly. She’d get tired more easily, couldn’t fly such long distances, but she chalked it up to all the time she was spending on the road. So she took a break, stayed longer in one place instead of always flying off. Eventually even the invisibility and intangibility she would use to find herself a place to sleep and something to eat would leave her exhausted. But she didn’t start paying attention to the problem until after a flight from one city to the next, the tips of her toes started to look squishy.
Melting. She was melting again, starting to dissolve into the green goo she was made of. Using her powers was obviously speeding up the process, but it couldn’t be helped now. She needed to get to Amity Park as fast as possible. After a quick rest, she took off, hoping against hope that Danny would be able to help her.
Flying was quickly eliminated as a travel option. It accelerated the melting too much. And so, with half the journey still to go, she had to resort to sneaking onto public transportation using her powers as little as possible. Each use made her feel worse. Her insides always felt like they were made of liquid now and if she didn’t concentrate enough, her fingers would drip a trail of ectoplasm behind her. Sometimes she’d blame herself and her insatiable need to explore for putting her so far from her only support system. The anger was a good distraction from the pain.
Finally she’d made it to Elmerton just one town over from Amity Park. She didn’t know how long she’d been sitting at the bus stop, but judging from the deserted street, it wasn’t running. Dani pulled herself off the bench, fighting against her bone-deep exhaustion and shuffled down the street. If the bus wasn’t coming, she’d just have to walk.
Time passed in a blur, but by the time the sky began to lighten in the east, she could see the neon glow of the FentonWorks sign in the distance. She’d never been so happy to see the garish neon letters and massive Ops Center. It gave her the boost she needed to make it the last few blocks. Now faced with her ultimate destination, she debated how to go about getting in. Danny had given her a phone before she’d left, but it had broken months ago and she didn’t have the money to replace it so calling him was out of the question. If she knocked on the door, chances were the Fenton parents would answer and she’d have to come up with a reason for needing to see Danny at the crack of dawn. Her last option was flying up to his room and phasing through the wall. It was maybe the most dangerous option since using her powers that much might be more than she could take, but it was also the most direct path to help.
She glanced up and down the street just to check it was still deserted, and changed into her ghost form. It was much more difficult to hold her form like this. She grit her teeth and launched herself at Danny’s window. Once inside, she quickly returned to her human form and lay sprawled on the rug, gasping. It took several minutes before she could muster up the strength to raise her head off the floor and peer around the barely lit room. There were piles of clothes on the floor and stacks of video games. A backpack lay abandoned in the corner with loose papers spilling out the top. Her gaze rested on the foot of the bed, but she couldn’t see Danny’s slumbering form from her spot on the floor. Actually, it was odd he hadn’t woken up when she gracelessly phased through the wall and flopped down.
Groaning, she hauled herself up to poke her head over the footboard only to be met by the slight of a completely empty bed. Panic threatened to overwhelm her while she tried to rationalize where Danny could be. He was probably just out fighting a ghost, she reasoned. Ghosts came looking for a fight at all hours of the night to disrupt his sleep. He’d probably be back soon. In the meantime, the unmade bed was looking very inviting. She hadn’t been able to fall asleep the last few days between the desperation to reach her destination and the fear of dissolving in her sleep, and it was all catching up with her. A few minutes of shut eye would be great. When Danny got back, she’d be better able to think straight and explain what was happening.
Dani crawled to the middle of the bed and spread out like a starfish. A contented sigh escaped her lips and the tension she’d carried for months eased as she slipped into a deep sleep.
___ ___ ___
Danny flung open the door to his bedroom after the long weekend at Tucker’s. They’d spent Friday and Saturday night staying up late watching movies, playing video games, and completely ignoring homework. He hadn’t even taken his backpack with him. The weekend was amazing, but exhausting. He was ready for an early night; his homework could wait until his free period in the morning.
He paused mid-collapse on his bed. It looked wet. Danny shifted the sheets and found a small glowing green puddle in the middle of his bed. His nose wrinkled as the smell of ectoplasm reached him and he shook his head in exasperation. Leave it to his dad to spread his mess all over the house. It wasn’t the first time his inventions had ruined his room. At least this was contained to his sheets.
He stripped the bed quickly and relaxed into the freshly made bed. Rolling on his side, he grabbed his phone off the nightstand to shoot a quick text to Tucker. His eyes landed on his older messages and the last one from Dani caught his eye. She’d sent him some photos of Tokyo from the sky a few months ago and he smiled at the memory. Sometimes her wanderlust could almost tempt him to join her. He’d have to reach out to her soon and see if she’d be interested in spending some quality time over the summer. Maybe they could even travel together for a while. The smile from that thought lingered as he drifted off to sleep.

Your Heart
A centuries-long feud between two of the world's most mysterious and otherwordly species is put to a halt by a sudden crisis. Danny Phantom, unofficial protector of Amity Park and indisputable King of the Ghost Zone, seeing no other choice, must make a risky decision for the sake of his people and loved ones.
But can a ghost truly trust a witch given their people's history? Or will he fall under the spell of the hypnotising Queen of the Witches of Amity Park?

CHAPTER 1 -- Desperate Measures
Neon green.
Neon green eyes.
The same sight that has accompanied him ever since that fateful day when he was fourteen and he entered his parents’ portal to the Ghost Zone.
The very first time he looked himself in the mirror after the accident he was greeted by those very same eerily green eyes, coupled with no little amount of panic and anxiety. And how could he not be frightened at the sight? Not only his eyes had changed colour, he himself had drastically transformed, too.
What once was a cascade of black hair falling down his face had become an avalanche of white strands. The black and white jumpsuit he’d worn as he entered the portal was still black and white, but the colour scheme was reversed. Surprisingly, instead of looking even paler than usual, his complexion gained a healthy tanーas soon as he learned what he had turned into, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the ridiculous notion of a dead guy having more flesh-coloured skin after dying. He couldn’t even recognise his own voice! And it wasn’t the typical “my voice sounds different now that I hear it recorded” type of different. No. There was a certain...echo to it.
Just what had he turned into?
As that first excruciating month after the accident would prove, he’d become a half-ghost, half-human hybrid.
He, Danny Fenton, was a halfa, as the locals liked to call him.
And by ‘locals’ he didn’t mean the people living in his hometown, Amity Park. He meant the ghosts living in the Ghost Zone. The parallel dimension to Earth that his parents had dedicated years to find, hence the creation of the Ghost Portal that led to the start of his rare condition.
And no, he couldn’t say ‘unique’ because there was another halfa that had been around for twenty years prior to his own accident. But he wasn’t going to go in detail about that; thinking about the fruitloop always put him in a bad mood. And he already had enough on his plate as it was.
To say his first year as a halfa was difficult would be an understatement, maybe as much of an understatement as it would be to call the sinking of the Titanic a midnight swim.
His first year with ghost powers had been brutal. There was just too much to take into account when living a double life. And if having a secret of such magnitude could take its toll on an adult, then that was nothing compared to what it could do to the already delicate psyche of a teenager. Wait, psyche? He wondered to himself, Where did that come from? Maybe Tucker is right and I need to meet some new people… Psychological talks are always a tell-tale sign that I’ve been spending too much time with Jazz.
But it was true, wasn’t it?
While his classmates at Casper High worried about pimples, or getting their first girlfriends or boyfriends, or fitting in with the A-listers, thoughts of his secret being discovered plagued his mind 24/7. It was a miracle he hadn’t outed himself the moment he got his powers, given how little control he used to have over them.
And it wasn’t like he could just train his powers and figure out what to do from there in peace. Oh, no. That would’ve made things easy for him and, as he would come to learn over the years, the universe just loved making things unnecessarily difficult for him. He was the cosmos’ favourite chew toy.
No, of course not. He had to learn to use his powers while countless mischievous ghosts set out to complete whatever crazy agenda they had or to pummel him to the ground materialised in Amity Park for the first time in...let’s see...ever?
He also met the fruitloop which, of course, always brought lots of pleasant memories of an obsessive psycho attacking him, mocking him, drooling and pointlessly flirting with his mum, trying to kill his dad, only to then do a complete 180 and try to convince him to abandon his ‘idiot father’ and join him as his own son… No, no! Not going there! He really couldn’t afford losing his temper at the moment.
His only saving grace those first few months had been his best friend, Tucker Foley and, some time later, his older sister Jazz.
Tucker was the first to know about his secret because he was there the day of the accident. Though not a fan of the paranormal, Tucker was really into technology; always had been. Unfortunately, that earned him the nickname of ‘Techno Geek’ back in their high school days. But it was precisely that interest in the crazy inventions his parents often came up with that had led them to checking out the, then busted, Ghost Portal. And it had been his friend’s conviction that the two of them could surely make it work that had led to his molecules getting rearranged.
Jazz was a completely different case.
Growing up with ghost-hunting parents, meaning they focused their inventions on the paranormal side of life (and that included ectoplasm-filled dinners), Jazz had taken it upon herself to be the ‘responsible, trustworthy, and caring’ (her words, not his) older sister. Since they were little, his sister wholeheartedly believed it was up to her to make sure her brother was safe and got the attention he needed, seeing as their parents could be scatterbrained, at best.
It goes without saying that such a mindset, though appreciated as they grew up, turned her into a meddlesome know-it-all in the eyes of any younger sibling. But if the aforementioned younger sibling happened to have developed ghost powers just as he hit puberty...well, that made her a nightmare.
The first few months Danny tried keeping his sister at arm’s length, much to her chagrin. But she eventually learned his secret anyway and kept it away from their parents, something her little brother could never thank her enough for.
How did she learn his secret? According to her, she found out during Danny’s first encounter with the misery-inducing ghost known as Penelope Spectra. But she didn’t reveal that she knew until a certain turn of events.
Said turn of events?
In his shortsighted search for power, the fruitloop had freed Pariah Dark, the dreaded Ghost King, from his eternal slumber and imprisonment. And not only did he free an ancient, power hungry spectre, he also stole the Ring of Wrath, the powerful item Dark needed to gain infinite power alongside the Crown of Fire already in his possession, and took it with him to Amity Park, endangering everyone in the process.
Pariah’s plans to conquer the Ghost Zone anew, only this time he coveted Earth as well, had led to many events in a surprisingly short amount of time. But the most surprising of them all was his ascension to the throne of the Ghost Zone.
After an agonising battle where he risked his very life from merely trying to go toe to toe with the tyrannical spirit, his quick decision-making made a difference that day. Stealing the Ring of Wrath and the Crown of Fire from Pariah Dark in an attempt to keep such raw power away from his person, Danny finally succeeded and imprisoned him once and for all inside the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep.
That day, he saved both his world and the Ghost Zone.
That day he became Danny Phantom; Amity Park’s greatest hero.
...until he, and everyone who had previously been celebrating him, found out that a link between him and the ring and crown had been formed after he defeated Pariah Dark, which made him the new ruler of the Ghost Zone.
All at the tender age of fourteen.
At first, he tried bargaining with the Observants and Clockwork, ghosts who would act as his rule’s Council from them onwards; he tried convincing them of how unfitting he was to rule an entire dimension. And to this day, he still maintained that belief. Back then he was fourteen, he couldn’t even drive, let alone rule over an entire race he barely knew the basics of! Many of the Ghost Zone’s inhabitants were his enemies, on top of that. Just because they’d agreed to fighting by his side during Dark’s return didn't mean they would suddenly be okay with him being the boss of them! What’s more, many of them would surely challenge him for the throne; his rule would be forever accompanied by war and anarchy! And most importantly, he was half-human. How could someone like him, who had an entire life outside the Ghost Zone, ever be fit to be its king?
But the Observants and Clockwork would have none of it.
The Ghost of Time took advantage of his “I know everything that could and will happen” powers to toy with his weakness: protecting his home and loved ones. Clockwork simply pointed out that, as the new Ghost King, he could actually keep a closer eye on his subjects than he did in the Human World, and use his position to protect Amity Park from ghosts by merely implementing some laws. Not to mention, that due to the sheer power he would possess, most of his adversaries would have to be complete morons to even entertain the thought of challenging him, meaning the amount of ghost attacks his hometown endured would decrease drastically just with him as their ruler. And, of course, there was the issue with Vlad… As Clockwork would helpfully remind him, if he didn’t accept his position as new king of the ghosts, then Plasmius was sure to take advantage of it to claim the Ring of Wrath and the Crown of Fire for himself.
And a world ruled by Vlad Plasmius promised to be a thousand times worse than anything Pariah Dark could submit his subjects to.
All of it, every single point in his favour, Clockwork said completely offhandedly. As if he were talking about his plans for the weekend instead of slowly but surely bending Danny’s decision to what he and the Observants believed was the best outcome. Every word was uttered as if he didn’t know the, then, ghost boy would do anything to prevent such a terrible future from happening.
As if the choice was truly his to make.
And that led him to where he was now, seven years since he accepted his newfound role.
In some ways, he remained the same.
His hair was still the same snow white mess falling down his face. His green eyes were still vibrant and alert, if perhaps filled with a maturity and sense of responsibility that weren’t always there. His skin was still the same tanned complexion he wished he could get after sunbathing, rather than the nasty burns he would easily get. And most importantly, he was still doing his best, dedicating every single minute of his life, to doing the right thing, to protecting the innocent, and to trying to balance his responsibilities as Danny Phantom, the Ghost King and unofficial protector of Amity Park, and Danny Fenton, an university student trying to get his degree in Astrophysics while keeping his parents and acquaintances in the dark when it came to his secret.
He still loved space and, albeit harder to achieve, he still dreamed of eventually becoming an astronaut. His sharp wit and tongue had only been honed with the passage of time; his ability to outsmart and to get his opponents to lower their guards enough to defeat them had saved his butt countless times over the years. Deep down, he was still the same Danny. The kind, compassionate, and caring boy who wanted to ensure everyone was safe. Sometimes at the price of his own mental health.
But for every single thing that had remained unchanged, many more evolved alongside the boy.
For starters, he no longer was a boy, but a man. At twenty-one, there was no trace of the baby fat that once adorned Danny’s face, having been replaced by a sharp jawline and sculpted muscles caused by several years of physical exertion. His once scrawny figure was now replaced by broad shoulders, defined pectorals and abs, and bulging biceps. With his jumpsuit accentuating every single sinew of his body.
The jumpsuit itself had undergone minor yet noticeable changes. The white collar covering his neck  and collarbone had gradually extended until it reached his shoulders. His biceps were now adorned by two white bracelets each, and his white gloves included several bottoms which activated the different mechanisms he had scavenged from his parents’ trash and had Tucker include in his suit over the years. Just like he traded his old belt for a far more refined utility belt, which also held several surprises. And yet, the biggest change was the logo on his chest. Or rather, the fact that he now sported a logo at all. It was a rather simple, yet witty, design. A white ghost shaped to include both his alterego’s initials; ‘DP’.
It was rather ingenious.
He couldn’t claim the credit for himself, though. He hadn’t created the logo. It was the strangest experience and still, one of the most touching.
One day he was flying over Amity Park, patrolling to make sure everything was as it should, when, thanks to his enhanced senses, something caught his eye. Sitting on a bench in the park was a girl but, for once, he didn’t pay attention to her appearance. He couldn’t, for he was too entranced with what she was doodling on her notebook. Doodles. That was all there was to it, really, but amongst black cats, roses, and the occasional “spooky ghost”, her design for his logo stood out.
He asked Tucker to add it to the latest update of his suit as soon as he went back home.
That very same logo adorning his chest was also engraved on the verdigris medallions keeping his black and white cape on his shoulders. That cape, alongside the Crown of Fire and the Ring of Wrath, were his designated attire as the Ghost King. Jazz figured he could alter his appearance a little depending on the role he played at the moment in order to avoid making the citizens of Amity Park jittery. “We want them to accept you as their protector, Danny,” she once said, “the less you remind them that you’re the current king of the Ghost Zone, the better.”
That was him. The self-appointed protector of Amity Park, and the leader of the Ghost Zone, and his highest priority would always be to ensure everyone’s safety.
Which was why he was about to do what he was going to do.
“Great One,” Frostbite, the honorable, trustworthy leader of the Far Frozen, called out to him, “are you certain there is no other way?”
His King appraised him with a resigned look. Frostbite and his people were some of the first ghosts to accept and respect him, immediately declaring themselves at his service after he defeated Pariah Dark. His imposing appearance, that of a hairy snow monster with sharp teeth and claws and an almost unmatched proficiency in the art of cryokinesis, hid his noble, gentle, and wise interior. The leader of the Far Frozen was an ally, a mentor, a friend...But, unless he came up with an alternative of his own, he couldn’t be of much help at the moment. Sighing, Danny shook his head.
“There probably is, Frostbite. But we’ve already lost enough time. If we don’t act soon, who knows what could happen.”
“I would.” A disembodied voice announced from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. If he were still fourteen, that trick would’ve made Danny jump a few feet high. But that was no longer the case, and he knew the owner of the voice all too well. “High chance, it wouldn’t be pretty.”
“Have you come here to offer an alternative, Clockwork?” Danny crossed his arms. A part of him knew it was futile to expect a straight answer from the Ghost of Time, his lips were sealed when it came to revealing the future. But, somehow, he still hoped he wouldn’t have to resort to, as of date, his most reckless decision.
In a way, the ghost’s appearance seemed fitting. With his fluctuating age and his cloaked self, carrying a staff around, he resembled the Grim Reaper himself. Depending on his answer, he could either save or doom him.
“I’m afraid not, boy. And even if I did, I most likely wouldn’t be allowed to tell you.” Clockwork shrugged, but the smile on his face somehow made the halfa suspect he didn’t lament anything.
Gesturing with a hand at the child-like ghost, Danny turned to address Frostbite. “There you have it. This seems to be our only hope.”
“But, sire,” Frostbite started, worry apparent on his canine features, “surely you are aware of the risks we will be taking ifー”
“I know,” his King interrupted him with a raised hand, “you don’t have to remind me. I was hoping things wouldn’t come to this but we can’t afford to lose any more time. You said it yourself, Frostbite. Aside from a very few ghosts like Wulf, who doesn’t even fully understand the workings behind his power, they are the only ones who know how the Ghost Zone’s portals work. If we want to put an end to our current problem, we have got to ask them for help.”
Shoulders slumping in defeat, Frostbite sighed, “I know, Great One. But I cannot help but fear they will either refuse to aid us in our time of need, or agree to it only to eventually betray us.” A low growl erupted from his throat. “These are extremely treacherous and unpredictable beings, my King.”
“I’m well aware of the risk, Frostbite.” The halfa reassured his friend, putting a hand on his furry shoulder. “But think about it this way: if they refuse, we can start looking for alternatives and avoid any unnecessary trouble from them; and if they accept with any sort of hidden motive, all we have to do is keep our guards up.”
Now presenting himself as an old man, Clockwork nodded at Danny’s words, “It’s truly all we can do.”
Seeing as there truly was nothing else they could do, the leader of the Far Frozen could only pray his King’s noble, yet dangerous, decision wouldn’t become their downfall. Sighing, he finally nodded, silently expressing he and his people’s loyalty to their king, no matter what path he chose.
The halfa smiled at his friend’s understanding nature, but it was short lived. Squaring his shoulders, he motioned to his companions to follow him. “Come on, we don’t have much time.”
The three ghosts made their way around the corridors of the king’s lair inside the Ghost Zone. The hallways and rooms were empty, for once, since the ruler had previously given orders to stay away from his lair that day. It was a day for deliberating his next move, the last thing he needed was to be distracted by his subjects.
He was doing this for them, after all.
Opening the gates, they stepped out into the island, where a green-skinned, ghostly postman was waiting for them. The irony was not lost on Danny: the same ghost Vlad had used to trick his mother and him all those years ago would now be essential for his plan.
With Frostbite and Clockwork flanking him, the young king approached the spectre, a serious look on his face. Extending out his gloved hand, he handed him an envelope. “You know what to do with this.” He stated firmly.
Bowing his head as a sign of respect and understanding, the postman took the envelope from his hand, flying away to the nearest portal.
All that was left to do was wait.
....................
Purple.
Purple eyes.
Once again, she was greeted by the very eyes that marked her fate. Just by having violet eyes, her fate was sealed and outlined for her the day she was born. For twenty-one years she had been greeted by the same sight: striking violet eyes, glossy raven hair framing her face, and fair skin that contrasted greatly with the rest of her features. And even to this day a part of her was still surprised that it was all happening to her.
When she was a little girl, her mother and grandma would often warn her of the future that lay ahead of her, a future she wasn’t even sure she wanted. Whenever her mother spoke of what was expected of her, it all sounded far too difficult for her little mind to understand. And worst of all, far too boring.
Why would she want to host parties and ceremonies? She was too young to even know what they were like! Whenever her mother started talking about the parties she would attend, a bubble of excitement grew inside of her. She was going to go to the grown-up parties instead of staying at home! She was going to have fun and do whatever it was the older girls did there!
...only for her mother to burst her little bubble, as always.
The moment she felt the slightest excitement about the things her mother told her about, the woman would then go into a hundred details that sounded anything but fun.
No, she wouldn’t be having fun at the parties, but tending to her guests. No, she couldn’t dress however she liked once she was older, there were expectations set on her. No, she couldn’t turn anyone she disliked into a frog; of course not!
And her younger self always found herself wondering: what’s the point in being a witch if you couldn’t do anything with your magic?
Thankfully, when her mother became too much to bear, her grandma was always near. Growing up, Grandma Ida had been her role model. She was fun and understanding when her mother was strict and unyielding. She was wise and the ideal mentor when Pamela acted hysterical or unreasonable. But above all else, her Grandma understood her when she was an outcast in her own society.
Being an outcast among witches, how cruel could destiny be?
When she was a little girl she didn’t understand she was an outcast so much as she knew something was wrong with the other girls from her clan. They were never mean to her, per se, but they also never wanted to play with her.
Not like she was ever allowed to play much, anyway.
She spent most of her time awake listening to her mother’s lectures, or trying to pay attention during her governesses’ lessons, or, and this was her favourite part of the day, watching her Grandma in action.
As she grew up, she started connecting the dots, understanding the reasons behind her sheltered and lonely upbringing.
The other girls would never say a mean thing about her, nor would they get too close to her, because she was off-limits. If they ever disrespected her, their families might find themselves in a tight situation and fall from grace. But if they ever included her in their activities, making her feel like one of them, then she could be distracted and get sidetracked from her studies and her true purpose.
Such was the life of the future Queen of the Witches.
Growing up, she often tried to rebel against the role imposed on her since birth. A role she was forced to play ever since she opened her eyes for the first time and that forsaken violet colour appeared from behind her eyelids.
Although a witch didn’t exactly become the queen of her people due to their genes. That is to say, the position wasn’t inherited; it depended on the most important asset a sorceress could ever possess.
Her affinity to magic.
Whoever had the strongest, and hence was the most powerful spellcaster among them, was destined to be her clan’s leader. But that didn’t necessarily mean anyone could be queen either.
That popular belief among pop culture that spread the idea that anyone could do magic if sufficiently trained was absolutely ridiculous. You were either born with the ability to do magic, or you weren’t. Period.
Another popular misinformation humans seemed to be suckers for was the idea that magic came from ancient artefacts or spellcasting. In reality, magic came from within every witch; from their anima. Their own essence. In truth, magic was the ability to channel their essence and project it into the physical realm with the added help of their knowledge of the secrets of life.
Because when it came to magic, there was nothing more powerful than knowing the secrets of the universe. If you knew the secret to something, you knew how to master that something.
Based on those principles, witches chose their queen according to the strength of her anima, and although the throne wasn’t supposed to be passed down from mother to daughter, it was worth mentioning that they did have a Royal family of some sort:
The Mansons.
The family she, Samantha “Sam” Manson, belonged to.
And what was it that turned the Mansons into the closest thing her people had to a Royal family? Their violet eyes.
Their eyes were a tell-tale sign of a superior kind of anima. Just like their irises, it would manifest itself into purple energy; the only kind of energy that could survive dark magic without being corrupted. Sam’s own energy manifested itself in the form of a sparkly, purple mist, confirming her potential as her clan’s greatest spellcaster.
Sam spent the first years of her life cursing her luck. She didn’t want to be queen! She wanted to have friends, to play, to see the world from beyond the clan’s manor’s windows...She...she wanted...she wanted to live.
For years she hated her amethyst gaze, a cruel reminder of a fate that had already been outlined for her the moment she was born and from which she could not escape. But then, her Grandma Ida, the Witch Queen before her, died when she was fourteen, and Sam learned to value her unique eye colour.
It was the only thing she had to remember her grandmother by, after all.
Since Ida never had a daughter, but a son who would eventually marry Pamela, a lesser witch, the clan had seemingly fallen into anarchy. Several witches tried battling each other for control, while the members of the Council deliberated in search for a better solution than mindless duels that could massacrate the coven’s numbers.
And it was during that time that Sam finally embraced what for years had been her greatest curse.
Taking a stand, she casted a paralysing spell in the manor’s Grand Hall, forcing everyone present to stay put and listen to her. With that simple move, she achieved two things. Firstly, she got her people’s undivided attention, and secondly, she reminded them just who possessed the strongest anima.
Although Sam would never admit it, having so many unwavering gazes looking down on her disturbed her a little, but she forced herself to go on with her plan before she lost her nerve. Using that newfound courage, she reminded everyone that, not only was she Ida’s only granddaughter, but she also had violet eyes and, as they’d just witnessed, the anima to match. She brought up the countless hours she’d spent studying to become their coven’s next queen, and she fought tooth and nail until they recognised her as the heiress to the throne.
When the Head of the Council had reminded her of her age, still being too young to rule, Sam made a deal with them. The Council would act as her regents until her 18th birthday, when she became of age and would ascend to the throne as her Grandma, who was considered one of the best queens they’d ever had, would have wanted. In exchange, the girl promised she would dedicate those years to study and train to become the leader her people deserved.
After much deliberation, the Council accepted her offer.
Just as Sam kept her part of the deal.
The four years she dedicated to her duties as future queen shaped Sam’s view on her lifelong duty. She always wanted to change the world for the better, now she had the means to do so. As Queen of the Witches of Amity Park, she would focus her efforts on diplomacy between the rest of the covens spread throughout the globe and hers. She would personally deal with any trespasser or crook who dared threaten her witches’ safety. She would focus her energy on rebuilding the link with nature her people used to profit from.
But above all else, now that they were wandering freely around Amity Park, her coven’s home, she would protect her people from those traitors.
No witch would suffer because of them ever again.
That was three years ago. Now at twenty-one, Sam was proud to call herself the Witch Queen, a duty and a privilege she was honoured to shoulder.
Lost in thought, she gently stroked DeMilo’s head. The venus fly trap had been her familiar since her Rite of Passage back from her 14th birthday; it was the last ceremony Grandma Ida was able to attend. Unfortunately, the memory of her rite was tainted by a rather...unpleasant event, making it almost impossible to reminisce without the feeling of nausea creeping up on her.
After their Rite of Passage, witches got their familiars, signalling they were finally full-fledged members of their birthclan. But while most young sorceresses got cats, or ravens, or any other animal ーsome animals being more stereotypically “witchy” than othersー, Sam got DeMilo. As unusual as getting a plant as her familiar was, it didn’t matter. The girl’s natural affinity to nature made it incredibly easier to harvest the herbs and plants they needed for their spells.
And DeMilo was ten times more interesting than any house cat, anyways. And a hundred times more hygienic than a drooling dog.
“You’ve been staring at the mirror for almost an hour now.” A heavily accented voice broke her out from her stupor. “And then they say I’m vain.”
Turning around, the queen found her lady-in-waiting, Paulina Sanchez, leaning against the door of her quarters, her arms crossed. At her feet lay several toiletries and different kinds of make-up.
Avoiding her gaze, flustered, Sam apologised, “I...I’m sorry. I was waiting for you to come back with what you needed and I guess I got lost in thought.”
“No kidding,” Paulina snickered as she made her way to her Queen’s side. With a wave of her hand, she beckoned the items currently resting on the floor to float towards her, a soft pink glow enveloping them. “Is there, like, anything on your mind? Anything we should worry about? Because, last time I checked, everything was going smoothly for us. Except for that one nutcase still trying to hunt us, but nobody is taking her seriously anyway.” She shrugged, not feeling concerned in the slightest.
Sam frowned a little at her words. She knew of the so-called witchhunter, and although Paulina was right that nobody seemed to take her seriously, it wouldn’t be unwise to keep an eye on her. The last thing they needed was another massacre like the one from The Great Burning. “No, no. Nothing like that, don’t worry.” She dismissed the idea with a motion of her hand. “I was just thinking about the past, that’s all.”
Paulina replied with a noncommittal sound as she started brushing her Queen’s hair. Normally, Sam limited herself to be pampered exclusively if she had an important meeting with the Council or the other clan leaders to attend, such as Coven Night, her people’s most sacred ceremony. But there was another reason why she had called Paulina to dress her up for.
“Is there anything going on that I should know about?” she asked her lady-in-waiting, her eyes never leaving her reflection on the mirror.
The Latina’s gaze hardened, “Harriet is trying to get more witches on her plan to get rid of them, but, so far, everyone seems to be loyal to you and your orders.”
“As they should.”
Unbeknownst to anyone, the Queen’s two handmaidens, Paulina and Star, were also her most trustworthy informants. They had eyes and ears all over the manor, without even using any surveillance spell. The other witches tended to look down on them due to their Valley Girl attitude, which often made them look far less capable than they really were. Which was perfect for them and Sam, because that way any possible conspirators would lower their guard around them.
If anyone sneezed in the manor, they would tell her.
Paulina was about to ask about what course of action they should take, when a shrill voice broke the quiet atmosphere, immediately drawing the attention from everyone present in the large house.
Sam hastily stood up from her chair just as Star burst the doors open, surprise etched to her skin. Making eye contact with her queen, she hurriedly arrived next to her, doubling over and panting from racing all the way there.
Concerned, Sam put a hand on her shoulder as she ordered Paulina to bring her friend some water, but the blonde stopped her with a wave of her hand. “No,” she breathed, “this...this is...too important.”
“Star, what’s wrong?” The violet-eyed girl asked.
Instead of an answer from her handmaiden, she received a neon green envelope closed by a wax seal. If the colour of the envelope weren’t unusual enough, the seal was shaped after a glaringly familiar logo:
A ghost shaped to include two initials; ‘DP.
In cursive, the envelope said it was directed to the ‘Witch Queen of Amity Park.’ And an array of red, capital letters was pressed against its green surface, reading:
URGENT
Sam couldn’t hold back her astonishment, a hand barely covering her gasping mouth. Absent-mindedly, as if under a spell, she took several tentative steps back, until her back collided with her vanity. She could not believe her own eyes.
The Ghost King was personally addressing her.

The Fenton Conspiracy
Phic Phight Oneshot for SummersSixEcho: The Fentons only have two children...Right?
Read on FFN and AO3
"Um...hello?" Maddie spoke hesitantly at seeing three children sitting in the Fenton kitchen, eating breakfast. They all looked up at her when she spoke. "Morning Jazz, Danny. And…" She trailed off.
An unfamiliar child was eating cereal, and she was an absolute doppelganger of her son. Black hair pulled back in a side-braid, bright blue eyes just like Jack's. She smiled warmly at her as she chewed. Maddie couldn't help but notice that she was dressed in Jazz's old black tank-top and jeans.
"Morning!" Jazz chirped. She had a bagel and coffee, and Maddie never took her eyes off of the trio as she went to fetch a cup.
She broke contact enough to pour herself some, only to set it all down. Nobody was sleeping over that she could remember. She looked a tad too young to be one of Jazz's friends, and the only girl Danny ever brought around was Sam. This was definitely not Sam. Who was she? How come she had never seen her before?
The huntress spun to meet the three.
"I'm very sorry, dear, but who are you?" she asked. The unfamiliar child frowned.
"Mom, this is Ellie," Jazz scowled. "Your youngest? Our little sister?" Maddie had no clue how to respond to that. "How can you forget her?"
"I only have two kids," Maddie said firmly. She turned to get her coffee, taking a drink. There was no way she was just simply so tired that she was hallucinating the entire thing.
"You have three," Danny spoke up. As always, he sounded exhausted, and he was also eating cereal. "Trust me, they gang up on me."
"It's true, I made him give me a piggyback ride home from school yesterday," the unfamiliar girl, Ellie?, replied cheerfully.
"She did, lazy little," Danny muttered off something as he shoveled another spoonful of cereal into his mouth.
"It was far, and I was tired!" Ellie exclaimed.
"No, no," Maddie insisted. "I have two children." Danny sighed tiredly.
"Mom, how come you don't remember me?" Ellie's voice sounded absolutely heartbroken, and Maddie immediately felt a wave of guilt.
It didn't take long to immediately be hit with concern. What was this? Maddie knew she only had two children. There was no way one simply...forgot a child. As in, not forgot your child at the store, but the entire existence of a girl who had to be at least fourteen? This had to be some kind of prank. Her children wouldn't prank her like this though, would they? Neither were cracking up into giggles, the normal giveaway. Instead both were casually eating like it was...normal. Nothing seemingly out of place.
Maddie studied the girl as she took a long sip of coffee. She looked way too much like Danny and Jack for it to be some random girl for a prank either. Even if they found a doppelganger, which in itself was so unlikely, she could already immediately notice Fenton-specific quirks. The using of the inner wrist to wipe her mouth instead of a napkin of her hand, the way all of the children hunched over as they ate. It was odd how...much this girl fit into the family.
"What's going on?" Maddie demanded to know. She set the cup down on the table. Danny sighed, dropping his spoon into the cereal.
"Fine. I got detention again," he confessed. Maddie stared at him, and she narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Look, I'm sorry. It wasn't my fault, it was Dash, he-"
"I mean about this girl, Daniel James," Maddie spoke coldly. Ellie dropped her own spoon in shock.
"I didn't do anything!" Ellie whined. "He's the one who got detention, I was in the library the whole time with Valerie!"
"You little liar!" Danny accused. "You weren't in the library, you were setting up a prank for Paulina with Sam!"
"Was not!" Ellie protested.
"Was too!" Danny argued back.
Was she having a stroke? Maddie watched the bickering in stunned silence as she tried to piece together everything.
"Are you a ghost?" Maddie asked bluntly, even though she immediately felt silly for asking such a thing. Of course a ghost wouldn't come out and confess such a thing.
Jazz sighed, annoyed as she put her bagel down.
"Mom, this is your daughter," she insisted. "Why do you resort anything to ghosts? It's not healthy to obsess this much on ghosts. Maybe tonight we should have a family night. It's been a while since we had one."
"Ugh," Danny made an annoyed noise from the back of his throat. "I'm not in the mood to watch Ghostbusters for the hundredth time."
"We can play board games!" Ellie pointed out.
"That's even worse," Danny complained.
"One of you two are going to explain what's going on," Maddie pressed her two (?) children, staring directly at Jazz and Danny. Neither flinched, nor gave any of their normal indications that they were lying, which honestly? Chilled her. What was going on?
"Ugh, one second." Jazz left the room, muttering something about the stairs. She returned moments later with her scrapbook, opening it, and Maddie couldn't believe her eyes.
This girl was in every family photo, and there were baby pictures of her. Pictures of school events with her there. Pictures of Maddie holding her as a baby, of her having three children at the beach and three Fenton children opening presents.
She didn't know what to think.
"We're gonna be late," Ellie spoke up, nodding at the clock. Everybody else glanced up.
"Ah, shoot," Jazz sighed. "Come on, I'll drive us."
Maddie watched Jazz and Danny pick up their normal backpacks, and Ellie pick up Danny's old backpack, a Crash Nebula themed one that he claimed to have outgrown.
"Bye Mom, love you!" Danny called out.
"Love you, see you after school," said Jazz, the three leaving the kitchen.
"Bye Mom! I love you!" Ellie chimed in.
"Um...have a good day, kids," Maddie spoke slowly. "I love you too."
She heard the trio of children chattering happily in the hallway, collecting coats and other winter gears. Nothing in particular, mostly just teenage talk about the upcoming day. School projects, friends, pointing out the recent snow and discussing weekend plans. The door opened, and it shut.
Maddie hurried to the window, watching the trio get into Jazz's car, it turning on almost instantly. Dani sat in the back, and Danny in the passenger seat. The car sat idle for a few seconds before her daughter pulled out of the driveway and took herself and her sibling, siblings?, to school. Maddie slipped back at the table, drinking coffee and looking through the scrapbook. When the hell did she gain a third child?
123456789
Jazz sighed heavily as she grasped the steering wheel. Her siblings got into the car, and as soon as the doors shut, she finally spoke.
"I think that...actually kinda worked," she replied. She glanced up at FentonWorks in amazement.
"The power of just acting casual," Ellie grinned. The clone buckled her seatbelt. "Tucker's amazing at Photoshop."
"Was this really easier than just telling them the truth?" Jazz accused Danny. He shrugged, clicking the seatbelt into place and leaning back.
"That's the backup plan. But all we really need to do is convince an entire school, Dad when he gets home, our neighbors and extended relatives that Ellie's always been here, and also somehow keep Vlad from finding out," Danny grinned. Jazz made an annoyed huff.
"Good luck," she scoffed, and she backed out of the driveway.

danny phantom season 2, eps 1-5 thoughts! opening the new season with episodes like these kinda blew me away. we had multiple serious episodes INCLUDING a two parter!! also, valerie :)
see prev episode thoughts in this tag <3
-I don't know what I expected s2 to open with. but danny portal incident in more detail was not it. (also, I hate to break it to you, sam, but danny's parent's bigass ghost hunting rv def chugs more gas than those vehicles, lmao. unless it runs on ectoplasm or something...)
-WHY WAS DESIREE IN THE SEWER? HAVING TEA WITH IT DOWN THERE?? Her making the giant cow come alive is a boss move, we've almost had all of my fav animals as ghosts now <3 I also don't like how sam was expecting danny to just, haunt the place so the cars wouldn't get sold? I KNOWWW I know she's 14 (and I had a very annoying phase like this, I think I mentioned in a previous post, I GET IT) but they're HIS powers, and messing with (1) dealership will not really put a dent in sales overall because they can just move the cars to another sales lot, and it certainly wont change the industry anyway, it's more of a minor annoyance for (1) location. Also, usually people who work at car sales places work on commission, so if they dont make a sale, they don't have money to pay bills, or eat. sam baby if u wanna be an activist you need to like, actually look into these things. with as much money as her parents have, she could be doing a lot..more useful things for causes she cares about? it's frustrating to see someone with resources who doesn't know how to use them. but shes 14 so again. cannot be really upset :/
Tumblr media
-IS THIS A PREDATOR VS TERMINATOR VS FREDDY KRUEGER MOVIE BUT THEYRE ALL WOMEN?? you know, sam is so right to be excited about this. /I/ want to see this movie. that rules
-paulina inviting danny and friends to her quinceañera, aw! even if it is just to get phantom to show up :') and there'll be a meteor shower, and we KNOW danny wants to be an astronaut!! there's not a meteor shower every night!! the tickets are non-refundable, but..she's rich? like. gotta agree with danny, they never get invited!! I KNOW it's the principle of keeping promises, but if she was that upset, she should've said something. directly. I hated how she was like, passive aggressive about it through the episode, like you SAID IT WAS FINE, THAT YOU'D GO TO THE PARTY TOO. MOVIES SHOW FOR A FEW WEEKS IN THEATERS. IF YOU HAD A REAL PROBLEM YOU NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT. WE'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE, SAM. YOUR FRIENDS. ARE NOT. MIND READERS.
-MR. LANCER GOING AFTER THE GHOST WITH THE FIRE EXTINGISHER LMAO
Tumblr media
-this outfit is everything . anytime the show does an over the top cutesty pink outfit i WANT IT. it looks like shit I wear JKASDHF I HAVE a bow like that and a pink sweater. I need leg warmers </3
-SAMS GOTTA RE-HALF-KILL HIM??? thats fucked up. but also, he finally got his logo!! it took until s2!!! this episode was lowkey very fucked and I felt like it glossed over a lot. does sam have guilt about like. kinda KILLING HIM?? I know, he also agreed and walked into the portal. but. she made the choice to redo it SO quickly (even if it was because someone had to beat desiree) and danny, during their fight, brought up a lot of stuff sam's done in the past, meaning he was holding onto those memories and resentment was building. (I KEEP SAYING HE LOWKEY NEEDS THERAPY, BUT I THINK MOST EVERYONE IN THIS SHOW KINDA DOES) which...is a red flag? and then they didnt even GO to the party URGH I know she tried to make up for it, but it really felt like Sam fucked up and barely faced any consequences and got everything she wanted in the end. I KNOW it's a kids show obv they aren't going to go too in depth, and she undid the damage, kinda, but...I DUNNO how to articulate it but it rubbed me the wrong way.
-but on a note about desiree, her powers of wishes were STRONG ENOUGH TO ERASE NOT JUST THEIR MEMORIES, BUT DANNY'S POWERS?! fuck, if I was danny I'd be like, trying to make friends with her. I know they always have horrible side effects as most genie-granted wishes do, but...c'mon, I'd at least TRY to be like 'I wish no ghosts would hurt anyone in my town' or 'I wish vlad would lose his ghost powers forever no matter What and also forget about my mom' LIKE. SHIT DESIREE IS SO POWERFUL. rewriting reality powerful, basically!! appreciate her. respect her.
-aww, sam helping tucker pass the nurse's office so he wouldn't see because he's afraid of medical stuff? very sweet. I also don't like medical stuff, I've gotten a lot better at handling it tho. but seeing blood and needles still makes me feel lightheaded x_x
-FOLEY, BY TUCKER FOLEY. I want to make my own perfume, that's so cool. even if his first attempt isn't good, he's pretty consistently shown to have an inventor/entrepreneur streak in the show, so like. I can see him inventing or making something (or several somethings) that make him $$$ when he grows up :) proud of my creative son
-I know the 'creepy abandoned hospital on the edge of town' is a joke and the creepy hospital trope is so Worn Out, but in my town we actually DO have a hospital like that! my dad was born in it, but its not in use and hasn't been for, like, 20 years! it needs to be torn down but I think the city doesn't wanna pay the money. the inside is horrible, spray painted and broken glass and shit everywhere. but there's still like, rusty equipment and fucking DOLLS all over the place. the cops drive by it pretty frequently to make sure no one is like, breaking in. (because of water damage, some of the areas really aren't safe. also, asbestos, but people still go in anyway) but also, some of my town was used in a filming for a stephen king show. So it's lowkey spooky all over. just a fun personal tidbit :) to lead into saying, any hospital abandoned for any period of time is NOT safe to quarantine these kids in JKSAHDKF like I KNOW it's a ghost trying to do this, but NONE of these parents are even like, 'well, why dont we keep them in the regular, working hospital'....YIKES. this hospital looks pretty accurate to the one in town. grungy and spooky.
-fentons are tax evaders confirmed by jack's fear of being audited, lol no one is surprised
-ghost sickness via ghost bugs. horrifying concept. I actually expected it to be a new villain, not dr. spectra again! this is a very elaborate scheme. her new form rules, love the new costume. the way none of the bg kids seem to recognize her as their old school councilor. did we just forget about that completely?
-dash watching romance movies in the fucked up ghost hospital. same.
-'oh please, you're ghosts, do you have any idea what YOU smell like?' no, tucker, what DO ghosts smell like? I genuinely didn't know they would even have a smell, I actually want to know now.
-it feels like a while since we've seen jazz!! i was happy to see her again, even if she was a head in a jar for most the episode. I want another jazz-focused ep!!
-we finally see danny doing space-related stuff!! him and his friends stargazing to open ep 3 of s2. cute :) until, GHOST PIRATES!!!!! ...ghost pirate captain is a small child?? VOICED BY TAYLOR LAUTNER???
-oh, the easy listening is ember's song instrumental slowed. 'vapor drone' THEY VAPORWAVED HER!!! ember in a pirate outfit tho >>>>. and the cruise being called m.bersback JKASDHJK. ember adopting a little pirate brother is also pretty cute. concerning this teen and little kid have such bad opinions of adults, like, who hurt you?? (how did you DIE ALSO?? im always lowkey curious about that. we know desiree died at an old age, but her ghost form is young, probably mid-20s, so I wonder how that sort of thing works...its a more mental thing, isn't it?) but ghost team-ups are always cool to see, even if ember bailed after danny took her guitar. I guess she probably thinks youngblood can handle it (which, he's been owning danny this far in the ep, so...fair)
-tucker got that sponsorship from nasty burger for their radio!!! again, opportunistic money maker king, love to see it!!!
-danny taking control of the kids SO FAST. he makes a pretty great leader. no one is surprised, im pretty sure I said I think he's the most mature of the trio, once again, correct, because he's taken on so much responsibility already. all the teens suiting up in the jumpsuits to go save the adults and taking the ship over with a BLIMP. OKAY LETS GO. this feels like it should be a mid finale or straight up finale.
-...speaking of finales. why is ep 4-5 of s2 combined into a 50 minute episode? I havent even clicked play and im concerned. weird placement, like, this season JUST started and we're getting a two parter? okay...why are the episodes placed like this? why not put this at episode 10 or something, for a mid-season thing?
Tumblr media
-this is also a cute dress. possibly my fav dress so far. can her parents give ME cute dresses, I'LL wear them.
-it turns out the castle fright knight was in is called pariah's keep and there's something worse than fright knight in there! lovely! fuck off vlad wtf are you doing <3 your hubris <3 is going to literally get you killed <3 'ring of rage' and 'crown of fire' are great names tho. ...vlad turning into a super polite guy when he was scared of mr. pariah was hilarious. and fright knight doing the same...I mean, it makes sense, he's a knight, he serves a king? happy to see fright knight again either way :) vlad telling him to call him tho, lmfao. you WISH HE WOULD. (I wish hed call me, too. 😔)
-so...jack being genuinely concerned about vlad...maddie really didn't tell him what happened at the cabin, did she. damn. if I was her id immediately come home and be like 'YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS SHITTTT THIS CREEPY GUY--' like, I feel like that stuff you need to tell your partner!!! I know she didnt want Jack to think she was an irresponsible parent putting danny in danger at that time, but STILLLL. maddie spilling boiling tea on him. get his ass. how is jack this oblivious to his wife's discomfort with vlad!! ughhh
-fenton wipe (tm). trademarked toilet paper.
-DANNY AND VALERIE BEING FRIENDS??? :D that was a cute moment. 'hey val <3' and 'if you like him like him, make a move, or someone else will ;)' at sam...damn!! I love her. valerie go for it girl!!! I hate how sam and tucker treat val also, like I GET IT YOURE PROTECTIVE AND DONT TRUST but if anything him befriending valerie will help when she finds out or he tells her like I feel like she'll be more understanding that they think! ALSO I feel like her reason for not liking ghosts is valid, like you haven't really explained the full story to her anyway! she doesn't seem to have any other friends after being booted from the a-listers so im like :( but seeing them kick butt together again was nice <3
-the ghosts all RUNNING FROM PARIAH DARK IS NOT GOOD, I thought he sent them to attack or something, but no. why doesn't someone just tell desiree 'hey i wish pariah dark would die' lol. once again I think she can solve every problem <3 but seeing all the enemies in one place, being civil and hiding together? love it.
-you just know danny's gonna have to clean up vlad's stupid mess. also, jack being willing to put on the ectoskeleton pants to help maddie, as soon as vlad heard it could kill him, he suggested jack do it instead of helping maddie himself? this is why jack got the girl, my man.
-ghost skeletons. how do you end up as a skeleton ghost in your afterlife instead of a humanoid like most the ones we've seen? lmao
-the ghosts just making new homes in various stores. I'd totally be setting up in an expensive clothing store if I was a ghost.
-valerie's dad is possibly the most useful adult so far, with that ghost shield expansion!!! and valerie saving vlad and danny, even tho shes been thru it already, shes still so good!!! this family rules.
Tumblr media
-danny: *gently caresses valerie* :)
-*then he immediately TELLS HER DAD ON HER. and his first response is 'are you okay?' :'( such a good dad...
-*me every time fright knight breathes* youre doing SO great sweetie :)
-the fenton suit thing is so silly looking. does anyone take this thing seriously
-ALL THE GHOSTS FIGHTING WITH DANNY <3 AAAAA. and the fact that pariah isn't perma-defeated, but just locked away again. yikes. he'll probably get out again, won't he? it wasn't too clear, but if vlad DID make a pact with fright knight, I am rabid. I will beat vlad to death with the fenton bat (tm). YOU DONT DESERVE A COOL KNIGHT.
-valerie being direct with sam and challenging her? kinda love that, even tho I normally don't like 'catfight' type situations. because sam has been very passive aggressive about it which is annoying. valerie knows wtf she wants and wasn't even embarrassed to tell sam, but she did tell her, giving sam time to make her own move! and sam denied it and got embarrassed/mad! and sam did have a chance when danny was about to go off and fight, and she hesitated and didn't tell him. I feel like she's hesitating because they're friends and it might make it weird between the trio (poor tucker would be third-wheeling) but if u snooze u lose, u gotta GO after what u WANT girl. smh this is a No Tsundere Zone. 😤

Owen's Timeline (Part 3 ~ Teenager Continued...)
Tumblr media
And here we have Part 3 of Owen's timeline basically summarizing the rest of the most important events so far in his first story arc.
Owen senses something is amiss about their visitor and rushes down to warn Vlad, horrified to find that it's the same Wraith in disguise who tried to kill him too that fateful day. At the same time Vlad realizes she must have killed the investigator at some point to get those files so she could personally deliver them to Vlad, thereby getting a shot at Owen again too.
Owen's powers start going off wildly in response to seeing his parents murderer and this time the power is so concentrated even Vlad can see those butterflies swarming around him to create a barrier. Taking advantage of the distraction while the Wraith is fixated on Owen -who isn't acting like himself- Vlad attacks her. Then Danny shows up after using Vlad's ghost portal as a shortcut inside and lends Vlad a hand keeping the Wraith busy.
Owen's consciousness is temporarily taken over by the collective memories of all his past lives and tells Danny about Revenants/Living Ghosts who are people who have died but returned to life again.
He also mentions how Danny is “marked by Death” too which is an important detail to keep in mind for later.
Lastly this entity temporarily awakens Danny's ice powers from within his ghost core which he uses to help pin down the Wraith long enough for Owen to banish it.
After the fight Danny tells Vlad about the occult website with haunted photos on it, one of which happens to be of Azrael/Kurst and Owen.
While staying at the Regal Hotel Vlad and Owen get a call about ravens circling the mansion who were most likely called there by Owen's Necromancy powers but Vlad refused to go back to make sure of that since they might be spies working for Azrael/Kurst. (Note: Owen will get his own Familiar later on though.) Also Vlad was half right, some of them were spies and helped track down Eris so he could hold her hostage and entice Owen to come looking for her.
Two days later they go back to the mansion and that night Owen discovers another new power, the ability to use astral projection to separate his soul/consciousness from his body while his body is still alive.
The next day Owen calls Danny and finds out Azrael's name, a part of him unconsciously remembering that's actually the name of an Angel of Death and not his real one which we later find out is actually Kurst.
Owen confronts Vlad shortly after for not telling him Eris had been reported missing. They sort things out then decide to visit Salem in search for answers, hoping to find Eris too.
As soon as Vlad and Owen get there they discover the entire town has been put to sleep by Nocturne, the Ghost of Sleep. Vlad takes Owen back to his childhood home there to escape notice. And while there Owen starts to wonder if his mother knew more about their family ties to necromancy than she let on before she died.
Owen suggests summoning Nocturne to save them both a lot of time and effort wandering around Salem, insisting that the sooner they get the town back to normal the sooner they can get back to searching for Eris and answers about his connection to Azrael
The summoning works but sadly Nocturne breaks free due to Owen's inexperience and Vlad gets knocked out from a nasty blow to the head. Meanwhile Owen astral projects out of his body to escape and takes refuge in his mother's antique shop. There he's found by Eris who managed to escape from Azrael earlier by magically transforming into a cat and she hangs up on his call to Danny asking for help, insisting on telling him the truth about herself at last.
Danny, Sam, and Tucker manage to convince Frostbite to let them borrow the Infimap to reach Salem sooner via a nearby ghost portal and make it to the antique store just before Owen's spirit is forced to return to his body.
Meanwhile Vlad is trapped in a dream until he's shocked awake by it taking a very sudden dark turn and sees the aftermath of Azrael controlling Owen and making him use his powers to utterly defeat Nocturne before Danny and the rest of the gang get there.
Owen wakes up inside some sort of ritual chamber and meets Azrael again face to face who tells him everything. About how they were friends in his past life and made a blood pact as children that has kept them connected all these years, making Azrael a ghost while Owen was reincarnated into who he is now 400 years later.
Azrael tells Owen they're going to destroy the council after his awakening once they renew their blood pact. But Owen remembers the tracker Vlad gave him and uses it to give the others a heads up to where he is.
While Vlad and Danny confront Azrael, Sam and Tucker sneak down to Owen's location but unfortunately are unable to free him and he ends up dangerously close to dying, meeting a Shadow of Death who reveals his destiny to stop Lilith, Azrael's real name, Kurst, and Death's part in creating the Ghost Zone to protect ghosts from becoming one of her Wraiths and destroying the living world.
Sam manages to resuscitate Owen after he had stopped breathing and he rushes off to confront Kurst, saving Vlad's life and then using the same dagger that Kurst killed him with in his past life after being tricked by the council to remake their pact but on his terms, not Kurst's. This releases an incomplete Wraith from Kurst's heart which Owen destroys by incinerating it's core with his now fully awakened necromancer powers.
Two days later Owen wakes up and Vlad tells him about his plans to officially adopt him and help solve the rest of this mystery about the council's schemes and the master of the Wraiths which Owen hasn't told Vlad anything about yet since they've been through enough recently without adding more fuel to the fire so to speak.
Then they pay Owen's parents a visit at the graveyard before heading back to Wisconsin to prepare for the charity event.
Eris lays low at the mansion though since she's still considered a missing person and doesn't want to work for the council anymore after learning what they did to Kurst and Owen 400 years ago.
The charity event starts off smoothly until social workers come for Owen, telling them the director of Mistveil has been arrested because he's suspected to be behind a bunch of recent kidnappings so they have to take him into protective custody. They have until after the event is over so Vlad asks Danny for help again searching for clues about what's really going on.
They soon discover through the combined efforts of Eris's shadow along with Danny, Sam, Tucker, and a vision from Owen that seven people had snuck into the building who had been given orders by one of the council members to capture Owen along with several other children from Mistveil suspected of being gifted as well. They even mistook Danny as one of them earlier and tried to corner him but they got away.
After leaving Owen in their care for the time being Vlad tracks down four of the impostors who attempt to force the social workers to leave the building while posing as fake security guards. Vlad fights against their magic and wins, immediately teleporting to where Owen and the others are to help them detain the final three intruders.
Once the intruders are arrested Vlad convinces the police to send patrols to keep an eye on the Mistveil kids for their protection instead of sending them to a shelter so whoever is already staying in a foster home won't have to deal with the stress of unnecessarily being taken away from a familiar setting, promising to hire more security in his mansion for Owen too.
His timeline ends there for now but I'll make a Part 4 of this once the sequel is finished!

Interview With a Ghost (Epilogue: Diner)
(PART 1) (PART 2) (PART 3) (PART 4) (PART 5)
.
.
.
Unlike many of the eating establishments in Amity Park, Cecilia's Diner didn't cater to ghost-hunting tourists (To be technical, they didn't cater at all. It was a strictly sit-down establishment. They didn't even do take out.). Its clientele was strictly local. Pointedly so. The proprietress maintained a strict policy of banning all ghost hunting paraphernalia from the premises. A tourist could, theoretically, come in and order a sandwich, but if they gave any sign that they were there to hunt ghosts, they were summarily ejected.
There was a reason for this: Cecilia's Diner had the dubious distinction of sitting across the street from the cemetery. No one wanted ghost hunters watching them while burying a loved one, and Cecilia refused to add to what she considered to be a veritable plague.
The diner was not Danny's usual haunt. But it was useful, and gave him a good vantage point to watch the comings and goings in the cemetery. Of which there were many, even if the funeral had ended over an hour ago.
"Danny?"
"Hm?" said Danny, not taking his eyes off the window.
"Are you going to finish your fries?"
"Tucker!" scolded Jazz.
"What?" said Tucker.
Danny finally turned back to his friends. Jazz was giving Tucker a rather severe glare.
"It's fine," said Danny, "I don't want them."
Tucker reached out, but Jazz intercepted him. "Danny," she said, "you've hardly eaten all day." She nodded significantly at his plate full of fries and the sandwich he'd only taken two bites out of.
"I'm not hungry," he mumbled.
"You need your strength."
"I don't want to throw up all over myself when I do this," said Danny.
"You are doing it, then?" asked Sam. She hadn't eaten much, either. Then again, the diner didn't have a lot of vegetarian options. "Telling your parents, I mean."
"I don't really have any choice," said Danny. He picked up a french fry, and let it hang limply between his fingers. "I have to, don't I?"
"You do have a choice," said Sam. "I know you want to stay with your parents, and I like them too, but..." She drummed her fingers on the table. "I'm worried about how they'll react."
"I know," said Danny. He looked back out the window. "This is so weird. People are mourning for me, but I'm right here."
Sam and Tucker exchanged a glance. "Well, you get to do what you want," said Tucker. "It is your fune-" There was a meaty thump, and Tucker fell over, clutching at something beneath the table.
"I guess so," said Danny. He closed his eyes and sighed. He did feel calmer, now, with his body safely beneath the earth. Vlad might try to steal it again, six feet of soil and a couple inches of wood didn't do much to deter a person who could simply phase through them, but between the layer of Ghost-Zone-sourced paint Danny had stealthily applied to the inside of the coffin and the continuing threats and disdain of the ghostly community, Danny didn't think that he'd be terribly successful.
Danny would know if he was, anyway.
Tucker straightened out and pulled his PDA from his pocket. "When are those officers supposed to come get you again?"
"Detectives," corrected Danny. "Any minute now."
As if Danny's words had summoned them, the bell on the diner's door rang. They looked up to see the detectives walking in.
Jazz slid out of the booth, followed shortly by Danny.
"We'll call when it's over," said Jazz. Danny tried to smile and gave them a little wave, before turning to greet the detectives.
.
The ride to Fentonworks in the detectives car was long and mostly silent. Mostly.
"Can you stop staring at me?" asked Danny.
"Sorry," said Paterson.
"Mhm," said Collins, who, as he was the one driving, had much less of an excuse for staring.
Danny sighed.
The car pulled up in front of Fentonworks.
.
"During our investigation last week," started Collins, undertaking to explain why their children had been brought home by the police, "we came across certain facts that made us, and our captain, concerned for the safety of Jazz and Danny. Especially Danny." Of course, Collins was only doing the initial explanation. Danny was going to do the big reveal himself.
"What kind of facts?" asked Maddie.
"Facts about Phantom?" exclaimed Jack.
"Well, yes-" started Collins.
"That no good spook!" roared Jack, pulling a wicked-looking gun from... somewhere. "I'll teach him to mess with Fentons!"
"Whoa!" said Collins, leaping to his feet and holding out both his hands. He did not miss Paterson reflexively reaching for her own weapon. "No! There's no threatening going on! No threats! Let's put down the guns!"
"Don't worry, detective," said Maddie. "It's designed to only hurt ghosts."
Collins took a deep breath, and kept himself from glancing at Danny. "Why don't we continue this conversation once you've put all the ghost weapons away," he said.
Jack frowned. "Why?" he asked.
"I just think it'll make everyone involved more comfortable," said Collins. "Just as a general proposal."
.
It took some time for Jack and Maddie to divest themselves of all their weaponry, and every second just made Danny more nervous. He wanted to just get this over with. He wanted it to be done. His mind whirred, trying to come up with the best way to start explaining, and, oh, he should have decided earlier. He should have written a script, or a letter, but he didn't, thinking that the right words would just come to him.
So when Jack and Maddie came back into the room, Danny blurted out, "It was my corpse."
Jack and Maddie stared at him. Jazz put her head in her hands.
"What?" asked Jack. "What was your corpse?"
"That they found, in the park." Danny waved his hand in Collins and Paterson's direction. "The body." They still looked bewildered. "I've been dead, sort of, for two years."
Maddie stepped forward. "Danny... I don't know what's going on, but you're just- You're confused. You have a pulse, Danny. You're alive." She turned on the detectives. "And you! You know he's alive. How could you-?"
"Mom," said Danny. "I'm not lying. Look." He held up his hand and slowly rendered it invisible. "When I turned the portal on," he said, "I was- The button was inside. I was inside. It turned on right on top of me."
"Oh, Danno," said Jack, eyes wide.
"The best I can figure is, ectoplasm replaced half of the mass in my body and the other half... just sort of..." He made a splitting gesture with his hands. "Fell out. I kind of freaked out and buried it in the park. I didn't know what else to do."
Maddie sat down heavily on the couch, one hand over her mouth.
"So, like, the parts of my body that are still there, they all work fine," said Danny. "So, you know, pulse and stuff. And the ectoplasm is pretty well integrated. It's, you know, the thing keeping me together. But I'm not one-hundred-percent dead. Just, like, half." He paused. "Also, I'm Phantom."
"What?"
Collins cleared his throat. "This being the case," he said, "we're going to have to ask you to make some changes to your home and behavior."
.
A week later, Danny sat in the same booth at Cecilia's Diner, looking out the window again. The cemetery was much quieter this week, but he could still see people stopping by his grave.
How bizarre.
"Have you decided what you want yet, Danno?" asked Jack. Danny turned away from the window, to smile at his family.
"No," he said. "Not yet."

Uhm... Hey everyone lol. And welcome to my Danny Phantom & Flynn Fenton story.
I am alive, I’ve just been so busy with personal stuff and college. I mostly wanted to post this because I am an avid fan of Danny Phantom and I absolutely wanted to talk about the video Butch put out a few days ago with Danny having a “mysterious older brother.”
This has actually inspired me to write for the first time in a millennia and while I’m a bit late to the party and very nervous, I really wanted to make my own version of the story on top of expressing my opinions. So here we go!
--------------------
I don’t like Butch like most people in the Phandom but I just want to preface this by saying that I think that his idea for a mysterious older sibling for Danny isn't a bad one, but the execution of it was very poor. The issues I mostly have of it is that it messes up some consistencies with the show, it has plot holes and instead of making Jack and Maddie slightly incompetent with people's safety, it makes them out to be negligible criminals.
A Summary Of The Original Story:
The original story went that they had 3 kids, Flynn Fenton (who's age was not disclosed but he might have been about 10), Jazz Fenton who was 4 at the time and Danny who was 2. Jack and Maddie had created a uncompleted Ghost Portal that Flynn had turned on, wandered too close to when it somehow started working and was subsequently grabbed by a mysterious ghost from the other end. The portal suddenly stopped working afterwards. Jack and Maddie found out about this after reviewing security footage in the lab, which they coincidentally didn't have when Danny had turned into a ghost.
After the whole incident, they hid the fact that Jazz and Danny had an older brother for years and take their time getting the portal to work again so they could save their son. Years pass and Jazz suddenly has a dream about Flynn and eventually confronts their parents over what happened and they tell their kids everything.
As for Flynn, Butch goes off in a tangent about a ghost who was responsible for the uprising and rebellion against Pariah Dark. I forget her name, but it was edgy and she honestly looks like a cartoon concept design for Thor's sister in Ragnarok, but if she had a Spiderman appeal to her.
Anyway, once Pariah was sealed away in the Sarcophagus of Forever Sleep, she wanted to rule the ghost zone fairly and with justice. Or something. However chaos ensued now that the ghosts were free to do as they please without Pariah's wrath hanging over their heads. Over time, trying to keep balance in the Ghost Zone took a toll on “Thor’s sister” and she one day stumbled across and open portal and saw Flynn on the other side. She essentially kidnapped him and raised him to be her soldier for justice. Like the Winter Soldier.
The logic for this was that humans have ghost powers in the Ghost Zone. I mean, yeah they can fly and phase through things, but it was never actually mentioned whether or not humans had super strength in it. But go off Butch. Then he goes on to explain that in some reference to the Ant Man movie, over time Flynn just sort of gained powers as he became "one with the Ghost Zone" and became a powerful protector called "Exodus." Then Fartman went on to mention it was a reference for a machine in the Halloween episode.
So yeah, eventually Danny finds him and they've kind of got that dynamic of "I think you're the bad guy in this situation" when they aren't and duke it out until Danny eventually convinces this dude they're related. Oh yeah and Flynn had no memories of his human life.
Gonna be honest, I might have misremembered a few things but it’s honestly close enough.
--------------------
The issues I have with this concept are as follows:
⦁ Jack and Maddie have essentially been the direct cause for 3 people being harmed (and sorta killed) in some way by their Ghost Portal experiments. This doesn't even border on negligible at this point. It basically is, especially considering they should have learned not to let Danny near their experiments after losing their first son.
⦁ They come off as criminals considering they hid all traces and knowledge of Flynn from Danny, Jazz and most likely all family members and didn't even report his disappearance. They even had cameras in their lab and that honestly puts across the idea that they disabled them in case one of their other kids gets hurt.
⦁ There's already a ghost who considers himself to be the law of the Ghost Zone and it would appear that Butch forgot he created Walker for that exact purpose.
⦁ The female character who was responsible for putting away Pariah Dark honestly isn't well fleshed out. She can imprison the most powerful ghost in existence but is essentially useless at stopping lesser ghosts from causing chaos? Even if she did have help, how exactly was she capable of such a feat to begin with?
⦁ This messes with the cannon a bit considering there are some plot holes that can't really mix well with the established story.
I saw some of these concerns were also mentioned by the Phandom. Giving Butch the benefit of the doubt here, I don't hate the concept but I think it needs to be worked on more. I've read about what some people's opinions were and at least the ones that gave real critiques had some good ideas. Like maybe making the sibling either Jack's or Maddie's and it would have helped with their obsession of ghosts.
I have my own plot hole filled ideas with how this could maybe be told better. I'm not a storywriter and this might come off a little edgy, but man I love coming up with ideas. So here's mine:
--------------------
My Story:
After the incident with Vlad, Maddie and Jack decide that their ghost hunting days are over and resolve to live a normal family life. They have their first son Flynn, who had solidified their decision to quit ghost hunting and settle. After a few years, Jazz and Danny were eventually born and it seemed they had the perfect life.
One day while vacationing in a wooded area (location can change), Flynn had wandered not too far from the camp. Then a flash of light suddenly burst in front of him and he could see a whole other world. Jack and Maddie were alerted to the sound and ran towards where it came from. They gasped at what they saw and knew exactly what Flynn was staring into; a ghost portal.
Before they could yell for him to stay away, a hand suddenly reached out and pulled Flynn in, the portal immediately closing as soon as he entered. Maddie and Jack were devastated. No one believed them when they explained what happened to their son, and this incident became the catalyst for them to start their ghost hunting careers again.
They worked tirelessly for years to get the portal to work again. Jazz had eventually chalked up their obsession to being a coping mechanism because they couldn't handle the guilt of losing Flynn and were in denial that he was gone. Danny was more of a social outcast than ever because people assumed his parents had something to do with Flynn's disappearance.
--------------------
Now with regards to why Flynn was pulled into the Ghost Zone, I would actually like to think Clockwork played a hand in it. I watched the Blood of Zeus recently and I kind of wanted to play around with an idea that inspired this next part.
--------------------
Clockwork knows that Dark Dan was never going to stay imprisoned forever. The fact that he still exists, even outside of time, was an omen he needed to heed. So maybe he meddled with a few future possibilities. Maybe he tried to get Maddie and Jack to realise Ghost Hunting was something they shouldn't mess with after hurting Vlad, which led to their decision to settle for a family. Maybe... He wanted Flynn to exist for a purpose.
He was the one who pulled Flynn into the Ghost Zone. Clockwork told Flynn that he would be the key to saving the future from Dark Dan, but withheld information on who he really was until he was old enough. He taught him everything he needed to know on how to defeat Dark Dan and trained him over the years in combat.
Going off the idea that Danny is kind of really average in comparison to the rest of his family, Flynn is a technological prodigy. He created weapons that Vlad could only dream of creating and can utilise technology that puts Tucker to shame. Once he was old enough, Clockwork finally revealed who Dark Dan was and how he came to be.
--------------------
As for the fighting portion of everything, I'm honestly not too sure how I could go about writing it. Obviously they team up to destroy Dan for good and Flynn gets reunited with everyone. He might actually prefer to stay in the Ghost Zone and be Clockwork's assistant. Idk.
This is as far as I can go with regards to the story and it was super fun to write. Hope you guys enjoyed reading it too!

Danny Phantom (Live-Action) trailer
It’s the 17th Danniversary, so here is my take on a live-action Danny Phantom movie trailer.
(Shot of a birds-eye view of Casper High School. Cut to the teachers’ lounge as three ghosts, clearly intended to parody the Ghostly Trio, enter through the wall. Catching sight of a table laden with a smorgasbord of meats, they grin in delight, the fat one drooling and the short one rubbing his hands together. Just as they are about to dig in, the sound of someone clearing their throat makes them pause and turn around. Danny, in Phantom form, is hovering a short distance away.)
Danny: Yo, whassup?
(Irate at their meal being interrupted, the three charge at Danny, who simply does an aerial backflip over their heads. The skinny one snarls before lashing out with extending arms, but Danny avoids this attack as well.)
Danny: Ah ah ah, not without a hall pass!
(As the fat one inflates himself like a balloon and the short one belches out a cloud of smoke, Danny curls his hand into a fist and prepares to throw a punch. However, he stops upon seeing his hand glow with green energy. Raising his hand with the palm facing out, he blasts the fat ghost, who goes rocketing around and deflating.)
Danny: Whoa, sweet!
(Nickelodeon logo appears briefly. Cut to Danny in normal form, sitting with Tucker at a table in the Casper High cafeteria. The two are watching Paulina chatting with Star and Valerie.)
Female voice: Mind if I sit here?
(The boys look up to see Sam standing by the table, holding her lunch tray.)
Danny: Uh...sure.
(Tucker gives Sam’s lunch a ‘what-in-God’s-name-is-that’ look.)
Tucker: Do I wanna know what that is?
Sam: Vegetarian option. My idea.
(Tucker hastily turns to focus on his decidedly non-vegetarian food. Cut to the Fenton lab, where Jack and Maddie are trying to turn on the portal as Danny and Jazz watch.)
Jack: I don’t get it. The last one worked just fine.
Maddie: Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll figure it out.
(They head upstairs, Jazz following. Danny is about to follow, but he catches sight of a white jumpsuit with black accents lying in a heap on the floor. Shot of a meter marked ‘Portal Charge’ filling up completely. Cut to Danny, now in Phantom form, looking nervous as he enters his room through the closed door. He lets out a sigh of relief and changes back to normal form, only to hear a crash behind him. Tucker is sitting on Danny’s bed, a broken plate and a mostly-eaten sandwich lying at his feet.)
Tucker: Are you...a ghost?
Danny: What? No! I...
Tucker: Dude, you walked right through the wall!
(Danny tries to speak, but only manages to stutter incoherently. Cut to a high-tech lab full of gadgets and gizmos, where Technus is hovering before a crowd of other ghosts, all in lab coats and similar attire.)
Technus: They called us crackpots to our faces while they stole the credit for our work, our blood, sweat, and tears! And those of us they couldn’t drive to suicide, they had disposed of like trash!
(He picks up a device resembling a high-tech flamethrower and pulls the trigger, releasing a bolt of electricity.)
Technus: Now, we’ll teach them a lesson they will never forget.
(Cut to Danny behind the Casper High building. He glances around to make sure no one's watching, then turns into Phantom form. Cut to Danny flying above Amity Park, clearly having a ball as he does a few loops, barrel rolls, and other aerial acrobatics. Swooping down beside a passing train, he waves to a couple of kids who are looking out the window. As he soars off, the kids watch in awe. Cut to Sam and Tucker in a large room with various bizarre gizmos and strange substances, as well as several weird-looking lifeforms in cages or glass tanks.)
Sam: What were these guys doing?
(Shot of two Guys in White attempting to stop a couple of Technus's henchmen from reaching a door marked 'Restricted Area,' only for the ghosts to pull out weapons. Shot of Technus grinning triumphantly as he holds a mechanical silver orb. Cut to Danny and Technus facing off.)
Technus: You picked the wrong side, boy.
(Shot of Danny carrying Sam as he flies down a hallway. Shot of Tucker hacking into a lab computer, the screen filling up as files are open. Shot of Danny blasting Technus's followers, trying to keep them away from the A-Listers.)
Technus: If you're going to protect these selfish, thieving pigs, then you too will face my wrath.
(Shot of Danny fighting back against a robotic monstrosity. Cut to title card.)
DANNY PHANTOM
(Cut to Danny, Tucker, and Sam sitting at a table at Nasty Burger. Tucker is holding a ketchup bottle like a microphone, Danny is covering his face in embarrassment, and Sam is just staring.)
Tucker: ...then Danny took a look inside of it
There was a great big flash, everything just changed...
(Sam facepalms.)
Danny: For the last time, Tuck, I don’t need a theme song!
(Tucker puts the ketchup bottle down and folds his arms with a huff.)
Notes
-In this take, Danny has known Tucker for some time, but Sam‘s parents previously enrolled her in several private schools, each one eventually kicking her out due to conflicts with other students. Since I’m not thrilled with her forcing her beliefs down others’ throats in ‘Mystery Meat,’ she’s not the one to incur the Lunch Lady’s wrath. -Considering that Vlad is Danny’s most prominent recurring villain, I feel that he is the type of villain who, as moviebob once said about Dr. Doom, is “too big to burn off in the first film.” (Mind you, I don’t know if I will compose any sequel trailers, but I think you get my point.) Since supertech features heavily in Spider-Man: Homecoming, I decided to go with Technus instead.
