Synopsis for Episode 11, “Operation Bonfire, commence!”

Ao Isami, who welcomed Superbia as their friend, headed to the Hawaiian Islands, the land of the decisive battle. He got the information of the remaining three Death Drives from Superbia, then activated “Operation Bonfire” in preparation for a fierce battle and to confirm each other’s bonds.

While the Death Drives of the Hawaiian Islands are quietly waiting, the two pairs—Bravern, Isami, Superbia and Lulu—go to the last battle to defeat the Death Drives and Segnitas (Segnity, Sloth?), where everything is wrapped in mystery.

Now, I have noticed one of the Death Drives that remind me of a white moth. The synopsis mentioned a certain Segnitas /Segnitis (a Latin word that means segnity, slow, sluggish). Could it be this is going to be Sloth? (My favorite sin.)

The title is intriguing. Bonfires are often associated with rituals.

The idea was that the fire would purify. It was used to consecrate things, or people, that is to make them sacred, in some way. In ancient times, cattle were important symbols of wealth and status. Such cattle were led through the smoke of a bonfire. Couples who were to be wed on May Day would leap through the flames of the bonfire to seal their vows.

In Japan, “large fires called bon-bi are set to welcome the return of the spirits of the ancestors.”

The etymology of bonfires is derived from “a fire of bones.” Literally.

So the four are heading to Hawaii to purify, release, or free the islands of the pesky Death Drives. And once they are through they can put the enemies to the bonfire.

Really hate that the queer community's response to the creation of a gender trinary (girl, boy, and nonbinary, which is still not all-encompassing) was to... reinvent the binary. We just started grouping all genders into "masc/male-aligned" and "fem/female-aligned" and it's so fucking stupid. Even with the occasional allowance of "neutral/unaligned" it still maintains the binary as the standard. And then they don't let you use certain labels if you don't have the "right" gender alignment. The fuck.
