It’s almost unfair that I made myself choose only one for each category, but yes, if I must, this is The One Smut for me. To put it mildly, it makes me weak in the knees every time I read it. It must have been like five times by now. To be read with the AC on and a glass of water by your side. Gotta love p*rn with feelings.

Am I biased when talking about this fic? Yes, because it was one of my Secret Santa gifts. Do I think I am unfair? Nope, not at all! I’ve never had any other experience in Cycling RPF like when I read (scratch that, binged) this one: it made me laugh and cry and it had my heart racing and had me hugging pillows at 3am. What a ride.

3. Favorite Sci-fi AU: jonas vingegaard goes back to the sea by @bakurasilver

Beautiful and clever. A reflection on the meaning of life and love, undercover as sci-fi. Bawled my eyes out with this one.

4. Favorite Fantasy AU: Fierce Creatures by @inbetweenpages

Melancholic fluff. My favorite kind of fluff. Read it about ten times and had my heart fluttering through all of them. Love is kind of awesome, isn’t it?

Shoutout to sad carpenter!Jonas who made a complete wreck out of me. The entire series is excellent, but this fic in particular is a masterpiece on its own! Also foundational exes!tadejonas fic before it was even a thing. Groundbreaking!!

I have two favorite types of drabbles: the one in which you feel like you read an entire story in just 100 words and the one that immediately makes you feel in absolute need of a 50k story as a follow-up because of all the possibilities it introduces you to. 11. Favorite Soulmate AU: All your life by @interdisciplinary-disaster

I never once had given any thoughts about geese before this fic. Also this is the only cycling fic where the main character is not one of the cyclists, but an adorably exhausted old goose (at least the way I see it, because frankly, what a scene stealer). It changed my core!!

12. Favorite rarepair: Jonas is the boss by @mundanememory

Because ok, now everyone loves Jonas/Matteo but back in April it was a rarepair!! And this fic is awesome and hot and clever and features little big boss being… erm, well treated by a lovable giant ginger, so it deserves a million recs!

Another idea for the pjo x dc au that takes place before the events of the battle of Manhattan but after the battle of the labyrinth, also for dc it is set after death in the family

Nico di Angelo being led by ghosts to a city that feels like death, that feels like he was back in the underworld, the threat of violence and danger hanging over the air and Nico finds himself in Gotham city. A perfect place for the child of the dead to practice his powers.

Now Nico knows about this place, sort of, he's heard the kids in Hermes cabin talk about Gotham and the vigilante that resides there. Batman and Robin.

Of course the older kids in Hermes cabin would tell them about batman but those older Hermes kids are mischievous and enjoy scaring the younger campers, they would tell the younger campers about how terrifying the batman was, how he was a creature that Hades had made to fight against Zeus but the creature somehow escaped the underworld and now stays in Gotham. How the creature used to have a child that never aged but was taken from him either by the gods or something else that makes the batman have a dislike for anything that's not human, demigods included.

To say Nico was nervous about being in Gotham was an understatement, he didn't want to be in a place where there was a potential ancient Greek monster stalking around the city and what if the batman was created by Hades?? Would it attack Nico or return him to Hades or worse back to camp half blood?

Nico ended up staying in Gotham for an hour or two before leaving the city, he heard enough from multiple random passersby about batman and Nico does not want to stay so he goes into the next city that was close to Gotham and the city he ended up in felt so much worse.

Nico ended up in Bludhaven, Gotham's sister city which is arguably worse than Gotham, unlike Gotham Bludhaven was bright and more city-like than Gotham's old Gothic style. Although Bludhaven was bright there were plenty of dark corners for Nico to hide in and when Nico summons/talk to ghosts about if there's any vigilante in Bludhaven that he should be aware of, most of the ghosts he summoned were old and lived in Bludhaven all their life so when he was told 'no there is no vigilante in Bludhaven but there are in Gotham' Nico took it at that and decided not to look more into it.

Unfortunately for Nico there was a vigilante in Bludhaven and Nico had caught his eye.

Nightwing trying to help this very clearly homeless kid who reminds him so much of his younger brother who had just recently died but Nico doesn't trust anyone especially someone who can blend in the shadows just as easily as Nico could.

Is this idea going to be a fic? Maybe if I turn my last pjoxdc post into a fic I'll add this into it

I think It’d be kinda interesting if Damian was a legacy because Ra’s was a demigod. Especially if it was a god similar to Ra’s personality rather than Damian’s, and he feels a tension against it. And maybe the Lazarus pit has some relation to nectar or the fire healing river in Tartarus and it works better for demigods, relating to how long it’s been working for Ra’s to keep him alive.

Google told me there was a minor god of trickery, cunning, deception, craftiness, treachery and guile named Dolos, which could fit Ra’s but of course doesn’t really match Damian at all, so Dami might feel such a fun tension with that legacy. And if Bruce was also a legacy of a different God, that would make it interesting for Damian too.

For the Waynes, I feel like either a legacy of Zeus (dating back before the big 3 deal) or Thomas being a son of Apollo (whose domain includes medicine [thomas], knowledge [bruce], and art [damian]). I also like the idea of Barbara being not necessarily a child of Apollo but having his divine blessing (bc oracle), and the demigod/legacy v blessed mortal dynamic between her and Bruce could be really cool. Another option could be Nyx (goddess of night) because of Batman’s ability to fade into the shadows so well. She is also sometimes known as the nurse of the gods (old use of that word, not medical related but related to raising other’s children) which is kinda funny with Bruce adopting so many kids.

Since Dami normally has both such pride about his heritage but also conflicting feelings from the vast difference between his parents’ families, I think having 2 competing legacies could offer some really fun explorations of character for him.

ough demigod Ra's is such a good take oh my god. it would really amplify his own conflicts about his heritage in such a fresh way- the pride in being a legacy via Ra's and whatever he's getting from Bruce's side? add the Kane magician aspect i was kinda playing around with? fun and fresh imo.

I think legacy Bruce would be interesting to play around with! i do like apollo and that might influence his brucie persona lol. but the past wayne (or even the kanes!) might be really interesting to look into as demigods lol. nyx would also be interesting! if anything Bruce could possibly be a nyx devotee if anything - definitely funny in the context of nurse of the gods lol. (i do remember reading a fic where jason was a child of nyx...)

i do think i'm gonna do blessed mortal babs! unsure if i want that to be when she was younger or if it happened after TKJ and her taking up the Oracle name (aka apollo heard some gotham vigilante was going by the name oracle and hes like: how about we make that real :D)

So, the Sunlit Gotham Sequel (TBN) is officially underway in terms of planning/writing. I'm hoping to start officially posting in March, giving me some time to get a good handful of chapters done ahead of time so I'm not dedicating all of my free time to writing a chapter a week while posting (again)

That being said, I'm gonna be having some Twitter Thread convos in the first chapter (and maybe some later chapters - idk on that one) but I am apparently struggling hard with coming up with usernames/handles for it (keep reading below the line if you're interested in helping out)

Um. I have found another (more subtle) tagging issue in the au list. The link for fake cryptid and real romantic leads to a version of the tag which is... misspelled? Which honestly would not be an issue except as far as I can tell half the currently extant bits of fic for that au are under the misspelled tag and a different half are under the non-misspelled tag which I only found out existed by accident and neither tag has all currently extant bits (that I know of, there might be more under another tag I haven't yet found) and I figured you would also like being aware of that. Tagging is hard and frustrating I am sorry I keep finding things like this :(

Tim is a very prepared person. That's how he keeps up with rogues and metahumans and aliens and demigods. He has contingency plans for everything. 

He does not have a contingency plan for Superman's five month, two week, and six day-old clone deciding to develop a crush on one of the Gotham cryptids and give said "cryptid" a diamond about it. That was not a thing that was a thing on his radar. Ever. 

Maybe Superboy is just trying to make friends, Tim tries to tell himself. Superman is one of the closest things that the Batman has to a friend, so it makes sense if Superboy wants to make friends with Robin. He probably thinks he's supposed to, right? He doesn't know that much about the world yet, and he was built to follow in Superman's footsteps; live up to his example. 

But it's heart-shaped. And also Superboy just explicitly mentioned flowers. And he keeps blushing. 

And Superman has definitely, definitely never given the Batman a heart-shaped diamond that he made with his own freaking hands. 

Tim is pretty sure that this is not Superboy just trying to make friends.

What even is his life right now? Seriously. What is it, and how did it happen?

All I have to say about the Jason and Luke thing is that Anastasia has a TYPE.

AHHHHH OKAY OKAY so on the batfam side everyone except Bruce and Dick are demigods bc I think it’s funny.

Alfred- Themis, who’s actually a titaness but she’s actually the titan of justice, divine law, divine order, and custom, which is perfect for him (also that makes the fates his sisters which is hilarious to me).

Selina- Hermes obviously.

Jason- Poseidon bc I’m obsessed with it within the context of him dying 4 months before his 16th birthday??? Like I’m having so much fun with that.

Cass- Ares which I feel is self explanatory, but I’m also obsessed with her having to reconcile being the child of the god of violent, bloody war and her childhood (I might actually end up writing a connecting oneshot just exploring that).

Steph- Hermes the vibes are there and again, loving playing with the parallels of Arthur Brown being a villain she has to fight and the Luke, who’s her brother.

Tim- Athena duh.

Duke- APOLLOOOOO. NOT JUST BC OF THE LIGHT THING BUT HE CANONICALLY HAS SO PRECOGNITION ABILITIES IN CANON?? too perfect.

Damian- Damian is actually a legacy, not a demigod. Ra’s is a son of Hades. I had a fun idea about Lazarus Pits being corrupted wells of the Styx that crossed over into the mortal world.

And I think this will be the first time I post about this part, but Jason is going to be a part of the Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth crew. Luke ends up in Gotham when he goes south from Connecticut and they meet first. This is both so him and Luke have a good relationship and because Jason and Thalia being close is why Zeus doesn’t just kill him 😭.

ALSO ALSO Roy is a son of Hephaestus (blessed by Apollo bc Oliver is an Apollo kid (all Oliver’s kids are blessed by him but Roy is the only one that’s also a demigod)) and I have a really funny scene of Jason meeting the Titans for the first time and they’re like

bc Roy and Anastasia have a brother-sister relationship so Roy and Jason know each other pretty well. Also the demigods know superhero identities bc of Roy and Oliver.

And this is just some of what I have 😭 I’m still just writing out the timeline rn

Me, having the knowledge of some fanfics and the WFA comics about the BatFam: ooh what if I write a fanfic of a demigod in Gotham?

Because ofc most of the demigods in PJO are orphans. And what Bruce likes the most? Exactly, homeless orphans that are in imminent danger.

But I don't want to make a Percy Jackson in Gotham fic, naaaah, I want some self insert here tho, Imma do an OC who is a demigod and get adopted by Bruce Wayne - because when she was unconscious at the hospital, Hestia went to Bruce with the adoption papers saying that "that's the best for her".

Bonus points if the oc is a kid of one of the big three (Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades) bcause it would be hella more funny to explain to the BatFam about her powers without them thinking she's a meta. Just imagine Tim seeing her water/shadow bending and thinking "Okay, I really need some sleep now".

Hold on, just imagine her taking a pegasus to the barn where Damian keeps the Batcow and Goliath. Ofc Damian has cameras around there, it's his pets, he needs to make sure they're safe. And then suddenly there is a horse over there. How there is a horse there? Most of the BatFam gets confused, but Damian, Tim and Jason can see that no- that's not a horse, it's clearly a pegasus. And then everyone starts debating about it.

What if the oc is a Poseidon kid? She can totally feel that there's something from the sea around the manor. She finds out about Jarro, without the BatFam knowing. She wants desperately to talk with the starfish, it's been so long since she talked to a fish; and Jarro wants to meet her so bad. The BatFam gets astonished when they see in the cameras that she is talking alone at the pond in the garden - Jarro managed to get there w Alfred help and they are just chit-chatting about the terrible water treatment in Gotham.

Poseidon kid in Gotham would be funny to see considering the water pollution levels. You know that one chapter of WFA where Aquaman jumps in the harbour and comes out yelling "what have you done to that water!?" Yeah that. There could be a fight with Poison Ivy and the two just end up ranting to each other about the pollution of their respective elements (also Demeter kid Ivy?)

Hades kid would make the most sense logically to fit in with the general vibes of the city I think but where's the fun in logic? Might be fun to explore a Hades kid in tandem with Bruce's no killing rule or immediately latching onto Jason though

Air pollution would get at a Zeus kid but I think a Zeus kid would have more potential in a Captain Marvel and/or Wonder Woman story

I'm any case I think they should definitely be besties with Duke he'd be really excited to have another person with powers in the family

I got bored in class so have a Percy and a Cass doodle.

As you can see, they're pretty different from the previous drawing I've posted, and that's because I was still testing how I wanted to draw them.

I think Percy is pretty good like this, though I've got a page with slightly better quality sketches than what I can draw in history class.

Cass, on the other hand, has been giving me more trouble. I actually quite like how she looks here(though she still looks younger than she is, I think), which means I'll try to recreate it in my sketchbook, and hopefully it'll look better.

Do you want the slightly better quality Percy sketches? I'll start with the Cass ones after I finish posting this.

He really hates jokes made about cooking Bat cow

He becomes friends with people easier if he meets their pets

He doesn't like most people but he likes them more if they have animals

He has extensive knowledge about how to take care of most animals

He is a casual tea enjoyer and likes coffee less

He constantly tries to find groups that are trying to protect black cats and every time he finds a new one he asks Bruce for a large amount of money to donate to their group

While he likes coffee less than tea when he does drink it he prefers it with no additional stuff, just straight black coffee

He reads. Like a lot

He is really good at climbing and reads books while sitting on top of the bookshelves

He takes a slight interest in mythical animals but this interest became a bit more apparent once he met Wonder Woman because of her being a demigod

He prefers to be warm and sleeps with like 12 really thick blankets even in the summer

Haedrean Fics!

Haedrean fics (tags #hd-fics) are exclusively on Ao3 because I suck that way. My fandom ranges from PJO (Specifically on my Nico/Alabaster/Jason trope or like I love to call them Jalico cause it sounds like a cat's name), Jason Todd specifically because I'm a sucker for him and recently Naruto fics centred on Orochimaru and Uchiha Obito. I have a type and it's traumatised, dark and me convincing myself they're misunderstood.

These are my active fics: 1) Her Majesties Champions - A fic beginning around Post-Titan's Curse adventure of Nico, Jason and Alabaster Torrington. It's an AU whereby Nico and Jason are both also the demigod of Persephone and Juno due to reasons.

It's also an examination of if Primordials have proper power scaling and not just defeated from being dangled like a fish. And also if Triumvirate Holdings makes more sense because how on earth will they control the future if Gaea won? Bonus includes Butt Load of OCs just to fill in Camp Jupiter and all the other unexplored backstories because we're exploring that too

This fic was a result of me snooping around @drksanctuary's tumblr and getting sucked into Nicobaster hell. For some reason, Jason got dragged as well but that' because I was in the Jasico fandom when House of Hades came out.

2) Jason's Adventure in God Hood (Heh-God Hood) - This is a continuation of Great Hades (I'm Dead!) where Jason Todd is the son of Zagreus and Thanatos from the game Hades and must now navigate a life as a god while trying to face his past from Gotham City.

3) How To: Jason's Guide to Parenting Your Multidimensional Terrorist and Vainglorious Pretty Boy  - This fic focuses on Obito and Satoru by the power of some Unknown God (Not from Genshin Impact) are now fraternal twins and seven years old as they climb out of the Lazarus Pit bearing the DNA of none other than, you guessed it, Jason Todd. DC won't know what's coming to them.

I love the way that this author writes Percy in general, and this fic specifically. Definitely have a soft spot for Percy being pissed at the gods, done in general, and bamf on main.

(The Percy/Dinah relationship is not my favorite, but that’s mostly bc I’m not particularly fond of Percy being paired with women. If anyone I think it should have been Giovanni Zatara, but again, personal preference)

Favorite Things About This Fic:
