﹒demons, let alone upper moons, as fathers? such a strange, unheard thing.

﹒their collective instinct was to slaughter the child right there and then. they were small, so even if they ate/absorbed them they weren’t getting much nutrients. realistically they wouldn’t even bat an eye, and they’d kill the poor child without a beat. the only one who would even think twice would be aizetsu; but he only pitied the child for being unfortunate to stumble across their territory. he pitied them for being so weak and so young they couldn’t even fight back. pity, pity, pity. so sad, but in the end he has a role to play.

﹒but lets say fate has changed the child’s course. what if the clones kept the child around? what if they had ulterior motives and their own reasonings for not giving into instinct? many factors that could’ve changed their initial decisions. so, for the sake of this prompt; let’s go with it.

﹒sekido was the most reluctant about keeping the child around. it was pointless, keeping a useless bag of flesh around. he only grew more agitated when his fellow clones tried to coax him, only making him grow more determined to discard the child as quickly as he could. ‘fatherly’ is not the term anyone would use for him. he does not care for the child, and even if the little one did their hardest to please him; his heart is charcoal black. he will not succumb, because eventually; the child will die. and he won’t be crying. perhaps he’ll be the one to kill the child. unfortunately sekido does not win the ‘father of the year’ award.

﹒karaku is more or less indifferent to the idea. his ulterior motive is to keep the child around until they grow up to later consume. more nutritious that way. in a sense, he finds it amusing that the child is oblivious to all of this. he wasn’t even trying to pull the wool over their eyes, because he didn’t have to. the child did it themselves; thinking the four demons were their ‘fathers.’ it was pathetic in a sense. children were all too naive and blissfully unaware. he’ll keep up the game, pretending to care and love for the little one; because it amuses him. but that’s about it. in the end, he does not care for the child any more than sekido. everything is a game, and the child is just a toy he will later grow bored of.

﹒urogi at least takes it up a notch and actually goes out of his way to play with the child. like karaku, the demon views the child as a toy that he can go and play with. he’ll lift them into the air, up up and up until the child is either squealing or screaming and crying. and he’ll laugh, no matter what reaction the child has. ‘fatherly’ is not the term anyone would use for him either, but the title of a ‘fun uncle’ is more fitting. but does he care for the child? does he? does he grow attached? he doesn’t know himself. but he knows that he is a demon, and upper moon, and that he will outlive the child sooner or later.

﹒aizetsu is perhaps the only one who does an adequate job of nurturing the child. out of all of the clones, aizetsu gets berated the most by his brethren. sekido cares little about him, karaku teases him to no end and urogi thinks it’s hysterical whenever he gives him a fright. not once has any of them showed aizetsu a shred of compassion. but they were demons, what was the point of caring for others? that was not their purpose. so when a child comes trotting down their territory, aizetsu is the one who suggests the idea of keeping them around. he knows sekido will object, but his reasoning of letting the child grow up first to later eat manages to convince karaku and urogi. aizetsu is also the only one who would go out of his way to protect and shield the child from harms way. he wants to treat the child how he wishes to be treated; with compassion and respect.

﹒but in the end, they are all demons. instinct takes over sooner or later, and they have other priorities.

Overlord Reader Hcs

A/N: Hi, this is my first time writing headcanons for reader, so please let me know if I made any mistakes! I made this because i thought it'd be nice and cool to have a reader as an overlord. A heads up that i haven't fully watched Hazbin so there might be inaccuracies.

You're an overlord, right? And not just an overlord, you're one of the richest, next to the Vee's.

You own a fine plaza of drugery and alcoholic, and a top quality successful companies of those. It's not a surprise, you're the overlord of substances and alcohol. Demons will pay MILLIONS of bucks to have a stash of your finest drugs.

You have a district on the border city zone in between the district's of the Vee's, Carmilla Carmine's and the inner city of Pentagram City. Your district is a melting pot of cultures due to being in the middle of other districts.

In a meeting with other Overlords, you'd take important notes and remind others if things drift away. That fight between Velvet and Camille? Yeah you had to break ice to ease tension before forgetting the main goal of the meeting.

Your seating position in meetings is on the right side of Rosie, your best friend.

Honestly? You're everybody's comfort buddy, even to Alastor. You bring in some comforting presence to other demons.

Relationships with other Overlords

Valentino is your top customer, ordering around 20 of your fine drugs, wine and fancy cigars. He is usually the one to make your stock reduced to little to nothing if he buys on a day. He doesn't trust any of the other companies who sells the exact items, even if you say it's excellent quality.

Technology in your small place is quite modern and techy, thanks to Vox. You flatter Vox on how advanced and cool his technology is, he usually is flustered and grumpy hearing that from you, but you know he likes it seeing that he gives you multiple rather big discounts on his products.

Your fashion culture is jumbled too. Making Velvette, the queen of fashion, questions each of your outfits. She's actually impressed, being able to mix and match right article of clothings. She gives you unsolicited advice on fashion, but you tried one of those once and BAM! Slayed 10x more with that advice. You'd took mental notes of her advices and thanked her whenever you can.

Speaking of clothing, you liked shopping and browsing in Rosie's Emporium. YOU are one of the favorite customers of Rosie. She loves your interest on 1910's fashion, frequently treating you on some products. You two would gossip on the emporium, spilling teas and laughing your asses out from all the stories.

Zestial likes to visit your plaza for wine tasting, loving all of your finest selections of wine and a surprisingly rare collection of teas (with cheese! You were prepared with the teas incase he didn't like any of the wine). You and him likes to talk about improvement of each districts with a side of said wine and cheese. Oh how he'd rant to you about Velvette's attitude and you'd pat his back.

Carmilla is another one of your customers, frequently ordering drugs and medicine from you. The drugs you produced somehow made her swifter at combat and confidence. On the other hand, medicines you produced was strong and high quality, it kept her from being irritated of Velvette.

Alastor was...quite the intresting demon in your opinion. Although, you try to not get any troubles with him, so acquaintance is the perfect word for the two of you. He once visited your alcohol parlor to find a nice wine to side with his mom's jambalaya. Of course you helped him, with your naturally charming personality and helpfulness, the radio demon got his wine. The next day, you received a homeade jambalaya soup from him, as a thanks for finding the nice wine. Maybe he's not that bad?

-Dante got so excited when he found out you were a devil hunter like him. Finally, someone that understands the pain of fighting supernatural, otherworldly creatures.

-Wants to go on jobs with you all the time, not caring what it is you're doing, or what you're hunting, he just wants to spend time with you.

-Trades weapons with you and teaches you how to use his guns while you teach him to use your weapons. It's cute, and handy if either of you lose your stuff mid battle.

-He expected to fight empusas and other weak, annoying demons. When he saw what you were going up against, he was visibly shocked for a moment. You hunt those? Seriously?

-Dante respects you for being able to deal with those monsters, but at the same time fears for your safety. Now he insists on going with you on every mission just to make sure you're safe.

-If you happen to have a familiar or pet, Dante will treat the thing like a housebroken pet whenever it's around, always feeding it treats and stuff.

-Is very intrigued by the fact that you too are a devil hunter, since there aren't exactly that many people practicing the profession.

-Wants to mentor you and teach you the ways of the blade so you can be more prepared whenever you fought dangerous demons.

-The day you asked him to come along on a mission with you was the day his heart turned into a butterfly that flew down to his stomach and flapped around for hours on end--that is to say, he was very excited to see you in action.

-When he saw the creatures you'd be up against, however, his demon instincts clicked and he immediately portaled you out of there with the Yamato and started slicing up all the monsters before you could.

-After that he and you had a talk, and while he wanted to be by your side during missions 24/7, he respected your wishes to be independent and decided on a compromise: You could go alone, as long as you called him regularly and asked for backup or retreated whenever you needed it.

-Is largely indifferent to your pet/familiar, if you happen to have one.

-You are now his rival! Don't worry, it's in a friendly way.

-Nero competes with you to see who can kill more demons, or who can take down the creature first, or who can kill demons the fastest, etc. Etc.

-When he saw the kind of creatures you normally go up against, he immediately rushed in, declaring that he would kill them all before you could--and so the challenge began.

-It's fun, competing with him in battle, and what's more, this way, creatures rarely get the jump on you, and if they do, they're demolished immediately.

-Competes with your familiar/pet, too, since he sees it as an extension of you.

-All in all, you two (or three) are the most badass monster slaying team to have ever walked the earth.

-Was honestly a little concerned when he learned of your occupation. After all, he would hate for anything to happen to his precious.

-When he accompanied you on one of your missions, he was shocked to say the least. These were the creatures you fought on a near daily basis? They were unlike any demon he'd seen before; they were far more grotesque and possibly too ugly for even he to write a poem about.

-Afterwards, he became even more worried about your safety than before and kept trying to have his familiars follow you when you left for missions.

-He insisted on going with you more often, but his weakness often prevented him from doing much, especially in battle, so he reluctantly stayed behind and wrote beautiful compositions about how he felt about you endangering yourself like that so often.

-If you have familiars/and or pets like him, he will be more than happy to play with them, take care of them, or maybe even take them for walks if they're needed.

-His familiars will definitely be interacting with your familiars; hopefully one of them can talk because Griffon is a chatterbox.

he’d probably complete the whole procedure silently, as he’s scared you’d waste your energy talking to him

you saw him carefully unwrapping the bandages and painstakingly wrapping it around your arm as you slightly winced at the pain

‘oh-, y/n, you okay? sorry, I didn’t mean to do that,”

you reassured him with a small nod as he gently continued to wrap the bandage, placing a kiss on it once he was done

“thanks hun,” you smiled weakly at him

“get well soon, darling,” he said before he got up to fetch some water

Iguro

just like giyu, he’d do it with silent treatment though you’d hear kaburamaru’s quiet hisses along the way

throughout the bandaging, he momentarily stopped as it reminded himself of the time where he had to bandage his own mouth to hide his traumatic scars

“darling, you okay?” you asked, worried at the sudden slight widening of his eyes

“oh, its nothing,” he shrugged it off, but you sensed that it had something to do with the bandage on his mouth

while he was calmly wrapping the wound on your leg, you leaned down and placed a heartfelt kiss on his forehead

“you're beautiful just the way you are,” you said as he glanced up at you

his eyes crinkled slightly; you knew that put a smile on his face

Mitsuri

she’d probably tend to your wounds the loudest way possible, constantly asking if you were okay

“oh dear, y/n, this looks terrible,” a pouty frown emerged on her face as she cleansed your wounds with cotton pads. “you okay??”

“im fine, honey, don’t worry too much,” you replied with a smile as you admiringly watched her bandage up the injuries on your knee

“alrighty! i hope this makes you feel better, darling. i put some ointment that kocho offered,” she smiled cheerfully, as she gave you a gentle headpat

“thanks ‘suri, youre the best,” you returned her smile with an even happier one from you

Muichiro

would be quiet too but would occasionally check up on you

he’d go like “oh, does this hurt?” or “you feeling okay?”

you were technically the only person he could express his true behavior to

he’d be experienced in this kind of stuff since he had to take care of his mom when she was sick

the thought of his sick mom made him want to protect you even more. he’d already lost his family, he couldn’t afford to lose you too

he’d treat the wound as meticulously as possible to prevent it from worsening

“thank you, mui. you don't know how much i treasure you,” you warmly smiled at him

though he didn’t say anything back, you knew his smile was all you needed to see.

Kyojuro

tbh i feel like he’ll just treat you like how he treated tanjiro when he got stabbed during the mugen train arc

“kyo, it huuurts,” you whined, hoping that he’ll do something instead of keep asking you to control your breathing

“okay okay, i’ll go fetch the med kit. make sure to control your breathing to stop the blood from coming out!” he darted to the other end of the house to get the necessities, his voice still loud as ever

I got an ask for Muichiro, who fought a demon and got injured. When he woke up, he was taken care of by a pretty male reader, so here's that fic! Sorry I've been so slow, I'll post another fic today! ( ´ー`)

When he got there, he was surprised to be fighting a lower moon demon. It was lower moon 7, so it wasn't too strong. Though he did get pretty injured.

Muichiro was told to fight a demon in a small town, though it was more of a village. It was out of the way at the base of a mountain, so not many demon slayers, especially hashira, went there.

Muichiro passed out from blood loss after he killed the demon. When he woke up, he saw a beautiful boy.

He had (y/hl), (y/hc) hair, and (y/ec) eyes. His skin was also a beautiful (y/sc) color. Muichiro had no idea his cheeks were flushed.

That's when he noticed he was bandaged well, and his wounds didn't hurt either. He was surprised that he was patched up.

After a minute, you noticed he was awake. You went up to him with a smile that made his heart thump loudly against his ribs.

“Are you okay? You were laying injured in the snow, I tried my best to patch you up.. You may want to get to a more civil area to get healed better..”

Safe to say, he was stunned. Your voice was beautiful. He couldn't respond. He felt frozen, and his mind was going a mile a minute.

All he could think about was you in different romantic situations, such as:

Laying his head on your lap while you sing to him as he dozes off.

You standing on a hill with a flower field, looking back at him with such a happy smile.

You playing with children in the middle of the village, encouraging him to join in.

You trying on his kimono.

And many, many more.

When he finally came back to, you were worried and panicking a bit.

“S-Sorry.. I was... Thinking.”

A couple months went past, and he refused to leave. He's practically moved in with you.

He got a job and kept slaying demons in the area. All you had to do was stay home, clean his wounds, and take care of the house.

You were basically his (house) boy-wife. The only thing missing was the actual certificate that said you two were married.

Otherwise, you were already all his, and he'd kill anyone that got in between you two.

Safe to say, you won't be escaping Muichiro. Though, he treats you really well and you eat well.

☀️​Yoriichi is a man who has already lost his first wife and their unborn child yet none of his sorrow is expressed from the outside. His nonchalant and solemn exterior rarely gives anything away from his current emotions so you never seem to notice how he is truly feeling for you. Nor does Yoriichi want you to notice as he is lucid of the extent of his feelings for you. He hides them and locks them away as he considers how you might get scared of him if you would know about it. And as much as he doesn't want to admit it, his own selfishness doesn't want you to stray away from his side because of his feelings. Silent and serene, maroon eyes are almost constantly following you as soon as you are in his field of vision as they observe your every movement closely. The death of Uta and his unborn child have left a scar after all so now that he has fallen in love with someone else again, Yoriichi can't help himself but grow more protective.

☀️​You don't notice when he is trailing behind you when you go anywhere when the sky is already dark as he is worried that a demon might try to take you away the same away they took Uta and his child away from him. He remains pretty distant and as a silent protector for some time where you often see him but know little besides his name about him. You can't help but wonder if he doesn't like you but it is the complete opposite. In fact Yoriichi is actually a bit scared that his feelings for you would spiral out of his control if he would get any closer to you. Eventually the inevitable happens though as the two of you slowly get closer to each other and his worries partially become true. His overprotective antics sometimes result in him growing more monitoring and controlling as he asks you with a serious expression on his face to do something for him.

☀️​I would say that he is less prone to being jealous and just more prone to reacting more protectively. Even in a scenario where he has hardly anything to worry about his eyes are still glued to you just in case anything happens or in case he realises that you look uncomfortable. Yoriichi makes a good effort to try and not let his own feelings interfere with your social life as he tries not to be too selfish with you. Honestly, he is quite good in not letting his own obsession interfere but you should still be aware that he is watching you most of the time. Even when he stands a few feet away from you to not potentially intimidate people around you, his eyes never leave you nor the people you interact with. He's usually quick to step in though when he notices that someone tries to flirt with you or shows signs of attraction for you. He can be rather intimidating when he wants to be as he calmly stares down at them.

☀️​As always there is a clear line when it comes to slaughtering demons or actually taking a human life. He has always shown a calm disposition when he killed demons and he continues with it even as his darling appears in his life. I would say that his trauma with allowing a demon to kill his pregnant wife has made him generally more warily when it comes to any demons around your village so as soon as he notices the tiniest sign that there might be one, he is quickly alarmed and instantly seeks them out to dispose of them as quickly as possible. As a man who slays demons and is normally very kind, he is more considerate and gentle when it comes to treating humans. Which doesn't mean that anyone can just take him as easy for it as his aura can change into one of silent and cold rage if someone really pushes his buttons by harming you and triggering his protective instincts. Perhaps it is this overwhelming calmness he showcases even in moments of rage that is so frightening as he whispers a low warning, a threat to stay away from his beloved.

☀️​When it comes to an abduction Yoriichi is not as bad as some others would be. Considering that he is still very overprotective though, you should expect that he has some rules and wishes he would like you to fulfill just so that his mind can rest a bit easier. He dedicates his time to just accompanying you, whether you know about it or not, during the time where both of you shouldn't live together yet and he establishes his rules as soon as both of you live under the same roof together. Otherwise Yoriichi lets you have your freedom as much as he can because he sees no need to restrict you. That changes when something does happen that triggers his feelings and that can quickly escalate into him turning much more controlling as he suddenly doesn't want you to leave his side for an extended period of time and keeps you within the four walls of your home.

☀️​Yoriichi is besides those moments where he reacts quickly more protective less obvious with his overall unhealthy behavior. It is easy to brush his protective tendencies off as lingering paranoia from his last wife's death and nothing more. He's gentle and calm around you and whilst he isn't one who talks much, he loves listening to you talking about anything. Especially when he realises that you are really passionate about it as he just sits next to you and enjoys your presence. His love is warm and bright for you as it gives you a feeling of safety and protection but underneath the surface one spark might be enough to erupt and escalate this warmth into an all-consuming blaze that calmly burns down everything that threatens you. If it wouldn't be for Yoriichi's vast self-control, things wouldn't be as nice most of the time...

Quackity's a workaholic.

He would spend nights working instead of sleeping, but eventually, when Las Nevadas was developed enough to mostly run itself, that it isn't just work. He could never truly sleep, never wanted to fall asleep, scared of his own mind when not focused on something, only sometimes pushing himself to rest through alcohol or pure exhaustion.

Wilbur on the other hand never had issues falling asleep. It came to him naturally, or maybe it was the constant exhaustion (especially after revival). He could never really sleep though. He would fall asleep, but not rest, half conscious most of the time, or experiencing terrible nightmares and waking up in the middle of the night.

Inspired by your recent art, Quackity would sometimes just stare at sleeping Wilbur. But, Wilbur would often stare at sleeping Quackity in the morning, admiring his lover when he's all soft and calm, and thinking of ways to surprise him with something nice when he wakes up. Maybe he should make him breakfast.

Ok so I love this cause I absolutely adore the "opposites attract" HCs with Q but it'd always be like "well they both definitely have sleep issues" but this is a way to have both and like that's a major slay

Three little hcs regarding their sleeping habits: 1. they both have a tendency to wake up when the other does, just automatically - they're just synchronised (most of the time at least one of them falls right back asleep tho); 2. Wilbur's weak sleep is significantly worse when Quackity's still working - like, he will finally come to bed and Wil's asleep but then Q sits down on the bed (quietly as fuck) and Wilbur's like "hey"; 3. they switch around their sleeping positions, but Wilbur absolutely loves being the small spoon - partly cause he's always cold, but mainly cause he wasn't held enough as a kid/hj

Common one, but I'll elaborate - Quackity's warm, Wilbur's cold. So, of course Wilbur's cold after revival cause his body's kinda fucked up and all that. Quackity - for a normal human (or a normal animal hybrid I guess idk works with duck too) consistently has a pretty high body temperature. He prefers sleeping mostly undressed (maybe with shorts on but that's not a guarantee/lh), he usually has to unbutton his shirt a bit lower than standard (I mean he's also a whore but it's a 2 in 1 y'know), etc etc.

Now, with Schlatt that resulted in limited cuddling even in the honeymoon phase cause the other also had a higher body temperature, and they'd just end up sweaty and uncomfortable.

With Eret the relationship started with a generic, platonic, positive message ("you matter ♡ -Eret" which they gave out to people in general just as a nice gesture, but nothing romantic) and ended with Q alone at the altar, so it's probably safe to say that didn't really come up.

With Karl and Sapnap though his body temperature was both too much, and not enough - Sapnap, as a demon hybrid, was much warmer, so with him cuddling wasn't really the most comfortable long-term, and while Karl was slightly on the colder side, Quackity wasn't as warm as Sapnap, so Karl would mostly cling to the latter. They'd try to make it all "even", but the emotional and physical distance was still noticeable.

And then there's Wilbur.

In pogtopia they didn't really cuddle much, but whenever they touched shoulders or leaned against each other Quackity noticed that Wilbur would frequently lean in for just a second longer than normal. This came back 10x stronger after revival. With a lot of Wilbur's nerves and blood vessels fucked up, he's pretty cold most of the time. The first time they cuddle he absolutely sinks into the embrace, making a comment about how nicely warm the other is. Quackity doesn't expect it to hit him as hard as it does. He giggles, slightly flustered, and dismisses it as Wilbur just being colder. From then on it repeats, and soon enough Quackity returns the favour by unintentionally hitting Wilbur with something along the lines of "you're like, the perfect temperature". See, Wilbur's always been on the colder side. He'd hear comments about how cold his hands were - not to even mention post revival - and he never really thought much of it, until Quackity's comment just hit him like a ton of bricks, and he just felt so perfectly in place in Q's arms. They just form the perfect temperature equilibrium; not too warm, not too cold - just perfect.

Little bonus: Quackity starts occasionally taking a jacket or sth with him even though he doesn't need it but he knows Wilbur will probably get cold (and need a second jacket).

Another little bonus that connects this HC to a different one about Quackity having sensory issues. VERY tldr is that sometimes he just gets this intense physical discomfort in his limbs (AuADHD moment), and only way to lessen it is intense stretching, OOOORR using Wilbur as his personal ice bag. There'll be nights where Wilbur will try to move his foot cause "it's probably too cold and bothering Q" just for Quackity to "scold" him for moving it cause it was pressing perfectly into his calf and keeping him from losing his mind cause of sensory issues.

Also they both have food sensitivities, but Q's are more broad, and sometimes they'll spend hours arguing(/lovingly) over what to get on pizza, or when they go to a new food place sometimes Wilbur will just look at Quackity who's staring at the idk olives he accidentally ordered in his food (cause he didn't know the dish contained them) and he will just silently slide over his plate so that his boyfriend can peacefully pick all of them out and give them to Wilbur. When Wilbur encounters food sensitivities - say, in a restaurant - Quackity will go full Karen mode and make sure his boyfriend gets only the food he wants.

Continuing the topic of mental health, sometimes Wilbur will struggle with hygiene during depressive episodes, to which Quackity will either motivate him with showering together(/nsx), a shared bath, if he's doing worse, or in the worst case scenario he'll help him clean himself up with a damp cloth (no judgement, no comments even, just love and support)

And even more so when you can ease him down just by you remaining calm 

The power that you have over him is infuriating,,, but it does help him a lot in his work—to have someone by his side who knows a thing or two about remaining composed. 

If you’re being too calm to the point you’re emotionless, it sometimes frustrates him that he cannot read you. 

“Scara… don’t you think that this should be solved peacefully?” 

“You know I’m not like that, Y/n.” 

“Very well, you’re right.” 

He turns to face you to see your reaction, raising a brow, “Are you sure? I really am going to punish them… just for a simple thing.” 

“I tried stopping you, but you rejected me, so why should I question you any further?” 

“I… you shouldn’t be this calm…” 

“I shouldn’t?”

“I… nevermind. Take these freaks away, I’ll punish them next time.” 

He does test you a couple of times, just to somehow measure your patience, or really just waiting to tick you off. It’s both frustrating and amusing for him, but mostly because he doesn’t tolerate the fact that you can one-up him in anything. 

But nonetheless… he does feel proud most of the time. 

Because only he can rattle and make you stagger whenever he tries to tease you. That’s why it’s rather fulfilling whenever he gets to successfully tease you. 

XIAO

He’s actually intrigued, and honestly, he likes you this way. 

May it be how you’re quiet at times or with the calm way you’re speaking to him, but nonetheless, he does not… mind… your company. Not that he’d ever admit that upfront.  

It’s difficult to read your mind, but most of the time it just leaves him intrigued how calm and sometimes unexpected you are. He had never seen any other human like you, regardless of how much time he had lived—after all, he did not really socialize a lot, more so to humans. 

“You—You’re… You’re different. Far too different from the other humans I’ve come across.” 

“So… does this mean I’m special, perhaps?” Your almost monotonous tone made him furrow his brows, keeping his stance with his arms crossed over his chest.

He feels a sort of… fresh breath of air with you, a calming presence, a light amidst the darkness that surrounds him. 

But sometimes he does feel like he’s away from you, like even if you’re there, he feels as if you’re miles away, with how you could remain unaffected; even if he is being affected by his karma, or when he feels dirty after a night of demon slaying and you see him like this. 

He does admire you though—for being one of those who seems to have never minded anything about it. 

Even being with him.

Okay, I spent an early morning reading this wonderful blog (seriously, you really do it well), and I wanted to place an order too. It's always nice and interesting to read other people's HC's, sometimes even debate about it, and honestly you seem like a great person to talk to.

Anyway, my request is very simple: based on my bad night, since I woke up because of a nightmare... I wanted to see Candy waking up in shock, because of a horrible nightmare, and her first reaction is to call her boyfriend to try to calm down. Oh, it could be on HSL.

Nathaniel can be a light or heavy sleeper according to how tired he is 

Yet, if Candy starts speaking, crying or even screaming in her sleep, that’s more than enough to wake him up with a little fright 

Now, depending on how intense and how affected Candy seemed to be by said nightmare, he’d start shaking her up immediately and would probably freaks out a bit if she’s yelling in her sleep or if she can’t stop crying

If it’s not that terrible, he’ll try to gently pull her close and caress her hair, hoping that this should be enough to comfort her and allow her to sleep more peacefully 

But if he doesn’t hear her and  it’s Candy waking him up, give him a few second and he’ll handle the situation (I have the feeling that Nathaniel is easy to wake up in the way that his brain is functional straight up after being awoken and slay honestly, that couldn’t be me)

(or if Candy’s calling him in the middle of the night on his phone, he’ll be woken up by the ringing, which according to Nath’s personality is probably the most basic one, without offense. You know the Apple default wake up alarm ? Surely it is that one and oh boy, if there’s a top ten of the things you don’t want to hear in the middle of the night it’s totally one. I would personally rank it above the sound of a demonic entity, that how much I can’t stand it anymore) 

He’ll listen to Candy rant about her nightmare (whether irl or on the phone) and would try his best to reassure 

He’d avoid saying basic things like « it was just a bad dream » because yes, that’s the point, it was that bad. So instead of trying to diminish the things he’d try to be more focus on validating her like « I understand why you were so scared » (even if the nightmare was about something he’s not afraid of) or « Do you want to keep talking or you’d rather if we talk about something else ? » (And he’s ready to talk about anything you like if it can bring peace to your mind)

(If Candy’s calling him, he gets a certain feeling of pride washing over him, even if she’s waking him up in the middle of night it doesn’t matter, he feels great about being the person she thinks of when she needs to be comforted. And it makes sense since it’s who Candy is to him as well)

If it happened while she was staying over and if she can’t stop crying, doesn’t want to talk about the nightmare and no matter how many hugs and sweet words he offers her seemed to make her feel better, he’ll get up and go get a glass of water and Blanche (because every time he feels down, petting and cuddling with her makes him feel better so bring the cat, maybe it’ll work for Candy too) or if they’re on a call, he’ll FaceTime so she can see Blanche

He doesn’t mind staying up until late if she doesn’t want to go back to sleep right away even if they got to go to school the next day (he’s used to be sleep deprived anyway with the amount of all-nighter he pulls to study so don’t worry he can handle it)

𝙻𝚢𝚜𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚛 : 

Honestly, Lysander sleeps like a baby most of the time, which means he is neither a heavy or light sleeper and he doesn’t get nightmares that often (or when he does, it mostly sad ones and it’s understandable since he went through some major loss in his life. He might also get nightmares where he gets hit by a car since it happened to him and there’s some trauma that went along with it)

But the fact that this happens so rarely to him can explain why he doesn’t know how to right away to comfort Candy went she going through it

No matter the nightmare, even if it doesn’t seem to be an awful one, he’ll wake her up. Just in case

He wouldn’t say much though and simple take her in his arms, planting kisses on the top of her head and try to lull her 

He wants her to know that she’s safe so he rather acting on it instead of trying to find words that would probably end up sounding absurd 

If he receive a call from Candy in the middle of the night, it’d wake him up but also got him confused since it’s pretty unusual for her to call him at this hour without warning

He’d freak out a little because of it 

When Candy tells him about it, he’ll be more focused on why she felt so scared rather than the thing itself (if that makes sense ? It’s like, if we found the root of the problem then we can get rid of it instead of just trying to make her feel better temporarily)

If Candy and him are physically together in this situation, he’ll get up and invite her to do the same so they can improvise make hot chocolate or simply some tea 

They’d have to be quiet though because chances are that Leigh is sleeping in his room

If he sees that talking about the nightmare doesn’t help, he’ll try to distract Candy by telling her about stories (probably little myths and legends from where he is from that could be comforting since Lysander is a countryside boy. Idk if that’s the case everywhere, but from where I am from, there’s plenty of little tales like that and I can totally picture our boy paying interest to them)

Or he would tell her stories about his childhood on the farm (because even though he kinda stopped having nightmares as he grew up, when he was little it was an other story)

Overall, he’s very calm and that itself is reassuring and comforting. Also he emphasises on the point that he’s glad Candy woke him up as she could never burden him and it makes him happy to be there for her as the romantic man he is 

𝙰𝚛𝚖𝚒𝚗 :

The only reason Armin wouldn’t be up in the middle of the night is because Candy is staying over and he went to bed with her 

Otherwise, he’s up all night playing games, watching animes or googling the most random things ever (you know these questions you ask yourself at 3AM and even though having the answer to it will not change anything to your life but you feel like you have to know ? Happens to him all the time. It makes me think, could he have ADHD ? Perhaps, but he surely got some symptoms even if he doesn’t)

Also, he’s a heavy sleeper so he might not hear Candy having a nightmare unless it’s getting loud and his reaction to it : panickkk

He’d just cluelessly shake her up because what else is he supposed to do ? 

Unlike (his bestie) Nathaniel, his mind does take some time to be functional after waking up so he’s confused, Candy’s confused (and scared/shocked), everyone’s confused, it’s a mess

The brief conversation they had before Armin gets to pull himself together is absolutely chaotic because of it (like Candy is absolutely terrified and he’s just like « huh ??? What ??? WHAT IS IT ?? »)

They’d sit up in bed and he’ll listen to Candy explaining what had happened and he finally gets it (why do I feel Armin is the slow friend ? Also completely out of topic but I’ve been rewatching some Buzzfeed Unsolved episodes and am I the only one that can imagine Shane and Ryan’s dynamic as Armin and Nath’s ? Like Shane as Armin and Nath as Ryan. Ok, that was not the request but I needed to say it)

I think his first reflex would be to go grab something to eat. And since the twins’ parents seem to be the coolest, I bet their house never lacks snacks (I’m envious). 

Armin raiding his parents’ kitchen at every opportunity he got is basically canon at this point

I feel like Armin’s way of comforting people is by trying to make them laugh so when Candy tells the whole with more detail he’d comment on it just to have a little giggle out of her 

He might very well ask her if she wants to play a video game or watch a movie (maybe a Ghibli one because they’re the epitome of comfort and no one can argue about this. Yes, I am a big fan of Ghibli movies)

In the end, Armin is the perfect guy when it comes to lighten up the mood and even though he’s not sure about how you should comfort someone properly, he manages to do an excellent job and Candy’s nightmare feels far away now as he so easily put a smile on her face (and he does so by simply existing, what a flex)

Now if he receives a phone call from Candy and that she’s isn’t by his side, he immediately picks up because as I said, he pulls all-nighters all the time so chances are that he isn’t asleep 

He’d FaceTime her right away and overall, he’d act the same way except that he can’t raid the kitchen for her on this one 

𝙲𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚎𝚕 : 

He’s a heavy sleeper, no questions asked. Even worse than Armin so once again, for him to be woke up by Candy having a nightmare, she got to be very loud or to wake him up herself 

And if she does, she’ll scare the shit out of him because he was unprepared and he needs time to collect his thoughts when emerging from his slumber (I feel like coma would be a more appropriate word lol)

Which is why if Candy calls him after a nightmare he might not hear his phone ring (or that could also be like this guy constantly leaves his phone on « Do Not Disturb » because guess what ? Most of the time, he do not want to be disturbed by anyone or anything - even though Candy’s the exception because he’s whipped but that’s a whole other story)

But if he sees that he missed the call in the morning, be absolutely certain that he’ll feel terrible (even more when Candy tells him about why she called him because he’ll deny to death but he would have loved to play the white knight and be the shoulder she can lean on during tough times. Metaphorically in this scenario but still, he’s much more of a romantic that he likes to admit)

Yet, if by any chances he wasn’t asleep, he’ll catch the call and he’d be confused and worry at the moment he hears Candy being so upset 

He’d be like « c’mon little girl, take a deep breath, it’s okay » (and since it’s late he has his tone affected by tiredness that makes his voice more deep and calm. Idk if you can picture it but I think there’s a difference in people’s voice according to what time of the day it is and I think that « night voice » exist)

Surprisingly, Castiel handles the situation really well. He’s calm and composed which is obviously the best attitude to adopt when trying to reassure someone 

Whether it’s on the phone or in person, he’ll let out some sweet words, even gets a little cheesy dare I say and would tell her how much he loves her as he sees how that calms her down (don’t mention his cheesiness afterwards though because otherwise he’ll never allow himself to be so open about his feelings with you and next time you need to be comforted, GET COMFORTED ON YOUR OWN. That’s what you get if you make fun of him - but why would you when he’s being so sweet though ?)

If Candy is by his side in this scenario, he’ll shelter her in his arms, hold her tight to keep her grounded and will gently rub her skin, hoping that the repetitive movement helps her to calm down

Now if it’s not enough, he’ll ask her if she wants to get up (and that means a lot coming from him because he’s probably exhausted) and go get some water or even go on his little terrasse for a few minutes to enjoy the refreshing air of night 

He might not say much since his mind isn’t the clearest at this precise moment (doesn’t know what to say) but he makes up with his touch and by carefully listening to Candy as she tells him all about the nightmare and as goes done from the adrenaline rush caused by the fear

Could bring Demon if she wants to (Animals are the best emotional support, I’ll never let go of this idea)

𝙺𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚒𝚗 : 

Kentin is a light sleeper but it wasn’t always the case. It started when he arrived at the military school and his « comrades » used to pull pranks on him while he was sleeping. Therefore, he kinda has this habit of sleeping with an eye open one might say (when you think about it, it’s basically ptsd and that is tragic. But Kentin’s a tragic character in a way and that is unfortunately pretty much overlooked)

When hears Candy sobbing, talking or even screaming (if so his reflex will be kicking in and he’s now wide awake ready to fight the threat. He’s too sweet and too pure), he starts by waking her up and before asking anything, he cups her face and try to make sure she knows she awake

He wants her to know that whatever nightmare she was having, no matter how terrible, it is now over and she’s completely safe by his side 

He’d dry her tears, trying to help go back to a steady breathing and only when she’s a bit calmed down, he’ll ask about what happened 

I feel like Kentin is good at dealing with nightmares for the sole reason that he has them often and a lot himself. Considering what he’s been through and how much he repressed his feelings, it makes sense and honestly he deserves better

He’ll make Candy sit up and hold his hand while he listens.

He’ll try to hide his glistening eyes since he doesn’t want Candy to think she’s making him sad but he can’t help it.

We know how much he cares about her so seeing her upset is enough to make him upset as well 

If Candy’s calling him instead, he was probably asleep but as soon as he heard his phone ringing, he picked up (he was awoken by the singular alarm he picked for Candy)

He’s frustrated he can’t be there with her but he also feels pride swelling in his chest. The idea of Candy counting on him to calm her down in this situation makes him feel like a big boy lol

He might FaceTime or not, depending on if she wants to see him or just hearing his voice

He doesn’t mind staying on the phone all night if it’s with Candy. Therefore she can take all her time to talk about her nightmare or anything really because he’s not bothered by it in the slightest 

If they’re at his place, he’ll reveal his secret stash of cookies and will offer some to Candy (sweet boy)

There we go ! I hope it's not that bad but I've been gone for so long (much more than I expected, sorry again about that) I felt like I am rusting. Do not be surprised if you see some edits on the posts in the future (idk if I am satisfied with it or not, I got the feeling that I could do better).

Also I really went big on the personal thoughts on that one and it's probably because I am loosing my mind (because yes I started a summer job and it's in a factory. Your girl is making nuggets for basically eight hours straight and has to wake up at 4 AM in the week to do so. And each time I wonder WHO SENT ME THERE ? and the answer is me because we live in a capitalistic society and I have bills to pay now that I am a big girl.) But Live laugh love as they say 💀(who really says that though?)

If he sees you winning - against Demons no less - he's so incredibly proud of you and wants everyone to know

Sort of looks like a proud father standing next to you but the way he looks at you reveals his adoration for you very clearly

Makes you lunches to take with you when you train, making sure they are balanced and contain enough protein and fiber to aid you

The only downside he sees is that he has so little time with you. When you come home late, you're very exhausted from your day after all and he's already a busy man himself, so it's quite difficult to get some quality time together

Just means you both need to make a bit more of an effort!

Mammon

Mammon has always been your hype man no. 1 and it's no different in this case

Making you lunches just means peanut butter sandwiches but if you like that (and aren't allergic to peanuts), it's still nice!

He's there for every match you have and watches your training sometimes too if you're ok with it - if not, he wants to pick you up at least though

When you win, Mammon is so loud but his cheers are really cute so you know... He wants you to run into his arms so he can spin you around, please

Shows people videos and pictures of you from one of your matches and gets mad if the person watching it doesn't find you as amazing as Mammon himself does

(they also shouldn't find you too amazing though because then he'll tell them how way out of your league they are and how the Great Mammon is by your side and nobody else-)

Having you coming home late is torture for Mammon but he's either distracting himself by doing things he shouldn't (gambling, scamming, stealing from his brothers, etc) or he's finding ways to be in your presence anyway - aka watch you when you train

Leviathan

He's the very best stan, thank you very much!

For you, he even braves going into the hell that is sports obsessed normies to watch your matches

Cheering you on is an art form and Leviathan has perfected it. He wears your or your teams colors, has your name written on his face, has a chant, a sign, a- you know the drill

Makes you the cutest bento lunches with encouraging notes and a lot of love in them

He gets so insecure and thus jealous of anyone trying to get close, especially if they're not just a fan but someone who plays the same sport as you. "What if having the same passion makes you like them better than some shut in weirdo like him?" his brain tries to tell him

Levi idealises you a bit too much but we knew that already. It's just maybe a bit more obvious that you're basically one of his idols that he actually gets close enough to to touch

Having you come home late sometimes makes his thoughts run wild, even if he knows you have training that day - he just can't help it but distracting himself until you come home works most of the time when he isn't so immersed in his game or show that he forgets the time anyway

Satan

Sports aren't really his thing but... You're doing it, so it's still interesting to him

Wants to know everything about your sport and even tries to give you advice. You may have to stop him right there because you are a professional... Unless maybe he does actually have one or two good points. Maybe he'd be worth listening to at least?

Second place for cute lunches, usually cat themed in some way but definitely nutritious too! He wants to aid you where he can

Of course he's there for your matches, how could he not? His cheers are a bit more quiet but he won't let you question how much he supports you and your passion

Seeing you happy and panting from exertion does something to him, to his heart. It takes him a while to realise that it's love for you that he feels

The fact that you come home late makes him sad sometimes but he knows that your training is important and he tries to suggest some things to do together that don't take a lot of energy - like reading aloud for you to listen to while you lay your head on his lap

Asmodeus

Asmodeus loves how fit you are because of your profession and he makes it abundantly clear as well

Next to outright telling you how hot he finds it how passionate you are, the way he takes the time out of his day to watch you practice (if you allow it) says lore than enough

Your teammates tease you about how obviously interested Asmodeus is in you, though there are also those that are jealous of you... Oh well

Asmo likes to doll himself up in a cheerleader outfit and do a little dance to cheer you on in matches. While he does take away a lot of attention from the actual game, he is very cute

Don't let him make lunches for you. The demon manages to blow the kitchen up trying to make bread, who knows what will happen if he tries to make you a lunch box?

In days when he can't watch you train or if you don't let him, Asmo has no qualms letting you know how lonely he was without you. Clinging to you and whining and telling you that you have to make it up to him

He's pretty easy to appease though, so it's not too bad

Beelzebub

Beelzebub is so happy to have someone else there who also loves to do sports. You may not do the same sport but you can still train your bodies together, if you want to

Going to the gym with Beel is nice, all in all. You get a nice view if you're into that and Beel will help you if you've never been to the gym before

Even if you have, you can still help each other, correct the other's form or spot each other

He will make sure to attend each and every one of your matches and is right there when you cheer because you won or need some comfort because you lost. Beel also asks you to come watch his matches as well

Beel is an amazing cook, so lunches from him are very nice... If he manages to make one, that is. Either way he wants to eat together with you

Having you come home late can make Beel upset sometimes because he misses your company but he's pretty good at keeping himself busy until you're back. If he's a bit more clingy than usual...well, who's gonna complain?

Belphegor

You do a sport? What, professionally even? Damn, he could never

But we knew that already. Belphie yawns at the mere mention of such physical activity and he admires the way you and Beel do so much of it and enjoy it too

Sure he will come to your matches too. Though he may not be able to pay attention the whole time, he still makes an effort to be there to show his support

More importantly, Belphie makes sure that you don't overdo it and helps you get the rest you need to start the next day fit as a daisy

hc for the vongola kids’ favorite video game genres / titles, pt 1 (nami trio); aiming for late 90s-mid 10s which is the general timeline for the series.

tsuna:

mixed PC and console, mostly console (PS2 or Game Cube). already canon that he likes rhythm games (which is so cute and kinda funny considering how uncoordinated he is), so he’s a big fan of Beatmania IIDX, Pop’n Music, osu!, Taiko no Tatsujin, etc. pretty good at them and they help calm his ADHD down. plays Katamari for similar stimulation reasons with the loud cheerful music and straightforward structure.

tried playing DDR and almost actually died. he avoids any footwork ones in the arcade; playing in public stresses him out in general so he usually will buy or rent games for home. Lambo got a Wii for his birthday and between the two of them, the controllers were lodged in the drywall by the end of the day after playing Wii Sports.

likes the Animal Crossing series because it’s cozy, doesn’t get too serious with in-game achievements but plays regularly. doesn’t time travel; got yelled at by Resetti once when he was younger and shut the game off on accident, he cried so hard he almost threw up. feels bad if he leaves his villagers alone too long. when he didn’t have friends growing up, he’d really look forward to in-game holidays and birthdays (sob). trying to collect the squirrels.

will play Smash with Lambo; that’s what helped them bond when Lambo first moved in. fighting games kinda stress him out so this is the most he’ll really play them. his main is Kirby, or Luigi because nobody picks Luigi. :( low to mid-tier.

also they play Minecraft together and are both pretty terrible at it but have fun. introduced it to Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Ryohei and they’ll play it with Lambo when either (or all) of them are babysitting him. Tsuna’s constantly on the death alert feed, usually dying from falling into lava. somehow slayed the Ender Dragon.

gokudera:

PC gamer trash, uses emulators because he can’t afford a console. loves difficult, convoluted RPGs and RTS (gag). does not like online lobbies. horror and sci-fi fanatic, especially survival-esque games that require puzzle-solving like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Bioshock. is one of those freaks who illegally downloads unsettling, semi-dangerous games (like Lostboy, Sad Satan, LSD: Dream Emulator) and plays them with HyperCam on because he’s convinced he’s going to see a ghost. has had to install like 5 firewalls and rebuild his PC once.

Demon’s Souls / Dark Souls loser. has a freakish knowledge of where everything is, including short-cuts and secrets. he focuses on magic and will discard and replace weapons without much thought. knows lore simply from the item descriptions. really strategic, memorizes enemy move sets, but will go the hard way because it’s fun. utterly deranged. it’s honestly pretty impressive but it kinda scares tsuna because how many hours did you put into this? how did you kill that boss so quickly? where is your armor, gokudera-kun—

he doesn’t like most FPS games because they can trigger his PTSD if they’re too realistic, but killing endless undead/demons/monsters scratches a weird itch for him so he can play DOOM, and L4D w/ his vongola friends eventually (he’s constantly reviving Tsuna). really likes Half Life and Portal because aliens and puzzles alongside bip-bip. will play Hotline Miami w/ Shittopi if only for the god-tier music but has to be really stoned with her, else he gets uncomfy w/ the content being so close to his old hitman lifestyle.

hates platformers with every fiber of his being. says they’re for children but really he’s so impatient he sucks at them. Yamamoto made him play Yoshi’s Island and he almost blacked out from sheer rage. only tolerates Pikmin because, again, aliens and puzzles. will play Smash under duress: mains Samus or Fox, mid-tier, loses to Yamamoto half the time. returns the favor in Mortal Kombat which he’s pretty decent at.

the only one who plays Minecraft outside group sessions. has started building late at night when his insomnia is bad; really likes the soothing music and will leave it on even when he’s not playing. makes replicas of structures from his favorite nerd media (currently working on the Enterprise).

yamamoto:

pure console lad, likes the Genesis, the Dreamcast, and the GameCube; his dad has a few older consoles that he’s also inherited. in similar hand-me-down style and true to canon, he owns a ridiculous number of late 90s/early 00s baseball video games. can play them for hours and gets really serious about them.

a Sonic stan. does enjoy some Mario Kart and Smash with the boys (mains Ness or Link, mid-high tier)—but he was a Sonic kid and really wanted Soap Shoes growing up. likes the OG 8-bit side-scrollers like Sonic Adventure 2 the most but his ADHD clings to super fast, timing-based shit like Sonic Heroes. also enjoys Rayman but gets stuck a lot.

weirdly good at Super Monkey Ball and knows how to short-cut in ways previously unknown to man. will launch himself across the level and win in less than 3 seconds. how? “idk just lucky i guess.” plays Baby.

has a few broken, shitty titles like Dark Castle, Pen Pen Trilcelon, Puyo Pop Fever. will make Gokudera play them just to infuriate him; this also applies to annoying platformers, it’s just funny to watch him rage quit. generally will troll Gokudera in video games to get a rise out of him, like dropping gravel on him or flooding his caves in Minecraft; never enough to actually ruin the game but enough to annoy him.

started playing Hitman as a joke but is spooky good at it despite not playing FPS/stealth games. “hey gokudera did you ever get to dress up as—” “for the last time, NO.” is generally pretty bad at games with a lot of details/strategy (other than baseball) because he starts tuning out. strong-arms Gokudera into tag-teaming hard puzzles and co-op games in general to build teamwork.

Just sumthin where the Hashira notice something is off with the Hashira!reader and make attempts to comfort her. If it's alright to ask I feel like maybe making the Hashira reader use a fork of positive emotion breathing or a breathing type of us generally positive to further suggest how something is bothering the reader- of course it's all up to you I'm totally okay if the reader is just someone being taken care of at the butterfly mansion or a relative of the leader of demon slayer (I'm so horrible with requests I apologize)

I feel like the Hashira are super in tune w/ each other, as well as totally oblivious They’re super in tune w/ each other in that they’re all phenomenal warriors, and thus have the necessary perception to quickly notice when something’s “off”

But they don’t really all know each other super well? And they don’t have time to just hang out regularly (unless they’re simultaneously slaying demons hah)

They also technically don’t all get along lmao

So if you’re feeling out of sorts, then they’d certainly pick up on your feelings, but most of them wouldn’t immediately know precisely what to do or say aka how to help you

Okay real talk tho Giyuu’s been through a lot (they all have *sigh*)— Ik his depicted personality and trauma runs deeper than superficial emotional constipation 🥺

If you think about it afterwards, his perfect sentence doesn’t make that much sense (i.e. inspirational quotes that are more dumb than inspiring if you bother rereading ‘em), but it sounded pretty and honest and bright, so heyo — better than nothing!

And he doesn’t bring you flowers, but he does offer you the remnants of his lunch (when I write the remnants I mean potentially ¼ of a bite), bc he knows eating can be difficult when feeling sad

He’ll still hug you, but instead of warm it’s HOT
