Ahmed Omer (this is a pseudonym, as they would like to remain anonymous) is an artist living in London. Art is their main source of income due to their disability that impairs their ability to work. About a year and a half ago, they were evicted from their home because they were unable to afford their landlord's rent increase and have been homeless since. The money collected will help them to cover the costs of groceries, transportation, bills, pay off their debt, and pay for a deposit on a room and furnishings.

🚨 Emergency Funding Needed 🚨

I've been using a cane for several months now but I'm beginning to realize I'm still expending more energy than I have. I can't make it through a grocery store trip without being exhausted and in pain. I can't go for walks anymore like I used to enjoy so much. I struggle to go anywhere to hangout with my friends because if it requires a lot of walking I have to turn the plans down. Even just standing takes so much energy that I feel exhausted in my bones. It feels like my entire life has become me confined to the house, never getting to go out and enjoy the world anymore. I have decided to get a wheelchair so I can gain some independence back. I want to live my life again, with less pain and more energy. I want to go out and make experiences and new memories. I'm tired of feeling left behind due to my condition and fatigue. I'm going to save up for a wheelchair the best that I can, but since I'm unemployed and still not approved for disability yet I don't have any income. I'm coming to my community to see if I can crowd fund/get some donations towards my goal since mobility aids are not cheap. If anyone is able to donate, my links will be down below, any help is so so appreciated. I don't expect to raise the full amount through donations but genuinely anything helps me towards my goal. We plan on moving further up North to escape the South, bc we're afraid of anti-trans legislation spreading here and we need better healthcare. tbh. coming online everyday to ask for assistance with something new that has cropped up cause i cannot afford to live/survive cause disabled people in canada aren't a priority and they are shitting all over the canada disability benefit & keeping us way below in legislated poverty cause giving us the disability emergency relief benefit would cost too much is just..... it's a lot. it's a lot from myself to sit with.

we can't trust crisis lines, cause they record the calls, they will call the police ans/or they will also suggest MAiD to individuals who are suffering 🙃 we are isolated

idk what my rant has to do with any of this and i am sorry, i am just so tired.

Because I'm almost $400 in debt from just trying to help people and the debt being there makes it harder for my friend to make money because my paypal is often what we use to collect money he makes for jobs

Basically I need to get out of debt regardless, and getting out of debt would help him greatly too. If I get passed the debt from the donations, any extra will be used to help my friends.

I think.. since I'm going to start talking to a dentist because l've sufficiently freaked myself out. I'm going to aim to save and/or hopefully crowd funding around 3-4k. Since the average cost or a root canal is $600 and $1,600 and

if god forbid they just gotta yank the bitched out of my mouth, that can range anywhere from $180-$550 per tooth.

So I guess, if anyone has anything to spare for any/a future dental procedure because I don't know how much my insurance will end up actually covering, anything/everything and all interactions are also appreciated.
