Since I work at a power station now, new headcanon that the Bats use Gothams Power station as a makeshift jungle gym.

Dicks climbing around without a grapple scaring the fuck outa Bruce when he flips himself off the top turbine hall and barely catching himself on one of the railings.

Tim, Staph and Cass are playing a complicated game of hide and seek/ tag. Trying to minimise the use of their grapples to not destroy the place. Cass is winning by a margin. She’s now just trying to scare the shit outa both of them.

Damian is checking all the nests scattered around the site. Scattering feed and fixing nests that have been destroyed. (Much to the dismay of every operator who just wants them gone. Unfortunately for them, the last engineer who kicked a nest had both his legs broken shortly afterwards. Everybody knew who did it. Nobody wants to talk about it).

Both Duke and Jason have graduated form understanding how the plant works and instead are arguing about how to make it better/fun things to do. "The Supreme Court on Thursday [June 13, 2024] unanimously preserved access to a medication that was used in nearly two-thirds of all abortions in the U.S. last year, in the court’s first abortion decision since conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade two years ago.

Note: A massive relief and a genuine victory - this will preserve access to the medication used in 2/3rds of abortions last year, for at least another 2 years. (Probably minimum time it will take Republicans to get their next attempt before the Supreme Court.)

Still, with this, a sword that has been hanging over our heads for the last two years is gone. There will be a new one soon, but we just bought ourselves probably at least 2 years. The fight isn't over, but this is absolutely worth celebrating.

finally! my contribution to #fixtf2 is done! it took about 8-9 in total, excluding creating refs in sfm(i don't remember how long it took).

i might have joined only about 2 months ago, but this game and community already became very dear to my heart. there are so many cool and creative people, and thanks to tf2 i've made new friends as well! i love it so much and i want for the game to be in a playable state again. so that everyone could enjoy a game of casual without spending hours trying to get into a lobby without bots and cheaters.

my love isn't blinded though and i've seen some issues with the movement both in-game and outside of the game. so here are some quick reminders for those who need it:

#fixtf2 is an ongoing peaceful protest. drawing sniper robots getting destroyed or killing bots in game with army of pocket medics by your side is fine. going out of your way to harass(or worse) anyone is not.

not everyone knows what's going on with tf2! if you see anyone questioning the movement - even if you think they might be a troll - cool down your head and tell what is going on and why. there are many videos explaining the situation, share them!

don't drop to your enemy's level. whether or not you believe #fixtf2 would end well, stay civil. if discussion starts going in the wrong direction, leave before it goes completely sour.

i really hope it goes well, but for it to happen we must work together in unity. think twice before you act, sign the petition if you didn't already and keep protesting!

but for some reason along with being given the chance to live his life once more, yue qingyuan now has the ability to tell when somebody is lying to him no matter what.

at first, yue qingyuan doesn’t see much value in this gift because there aren’t many people who would dare lie straight to his face, but that all changes the moment he’s reunited with shen jiu again and he realizes that nothing that shen jiu says is ever the complete truth.

That's my thoughts I did not went into much details about what could have been better or what is not really like in the books. I'm just glad that there is another great addition to the Tolkien fandom!!

starting my full replay of deltarune and I just finished replaying the first chapter and I kinda want to blab thoughts on what the specifics of the player's control might be as far as we know

some spoilers for chapter 3 and 4? (i probably missed stuff in those chapters to help with this discussion tho. so. take that for what you will) (mainly showing screenshots from ch 1)

I'm wondering if it's divided on who controls what

So like:

Player: While our soul is possessing Frisk, we obviously control all of their movements and what they interact with. We choose between options when a question is presented to us.

Kris: They get back control when they remove us, but they are weaker/have less stamina, and maybe have other effects. I'm guessing that since we've seen them walk both slow and fast without the player that walking slow (like in ch 1 and 2) that preserves more energy. And seeing that if we spend too long trying to get to Dess's guitar in Chapter 4, they actually can get so tired from trying to wack us that they have to take a long breather.

Outside of when they've removed us tho, it's less clear? So, they can control how they SAY things after we choose an option yeah? They can still manage to control how they come off like, they won't let us make them say "Of Course Not" they'll change it to "Of Course." Instead of serious "I'll join" to Berdly, it's incredulous iirc.

Aside from that I think they have a bit more control after we interact with something since I remember times in the game where once we initiate, they are able to move and talk to a certain amount. Like, we make the choice "It's okay not to smile" they then hug Ralsei. They step in to protect Susie (in a cutscene i believe?) in chapter 1. In general I think once there is a cutscene they regain more control.

I think where it's a bit less clear is Who narrates the text you get when you interact with something and Who gives the dialogue options. I think it's a situation where BOTH the player and Kris have influence here.

Because simultaneously we have moments where the choices are aware we have (most likely) played undertale with first Sans interaction, and we make kris act like they haven't seen a card they've WROTE in before. But there are also moments that HAD to have been influenced by Kris since they give us insight into what WE can't see, what WE couldn't have known before.

Namely times when we are in Noelle's house in chapter 4 and Kris hints at previous times in their childhood that we wouldn't have been privy to otherwise.They may or may not have climbed one of the smaller tree decorations. The bigger tree by the piano in the kitchen is described to look very climbable. Like, that might be it or there may be more since a lot of times it IS other characters that give us that context, but I'm kinda thinking outloud.

tho maybe the Sans example could be waved away through like. Y'know when someone acts like they know you and you don't want to be rude because what if you just forgot who they are so you go along with it?

With the moss it's like. First time it's a choice that I think is influenced by the flavor text from Kris's emotions

Then in future chapters it isn't a choice it is just what happens after you interact with it

idr if there were moss moments in chapter 3 or 4

I also remember that in chapter 1 if you go into Toriel's room you can choose to smell the markers or not, and after that in future chapters you don't have a choice. Once you interact with it Kris decides to smell them without your input.

Also we know Kris is a weird kid and some interacting moments don't give us the choice not to be weird lol like. KRis influence

doesn't really fit into this but still gonna add it here

there is very very very likely more in chapters that aren't immediately fresh on my mind to prove where our influence ends and where Kris's begins. Like, I think there is stuff in chapter 3 for this since I think there was a scene where controls reference Kris vs player but I don't know for sure

No one ever mentions how on the QnA PE has a 30% cargo loss which?? That could mean only the order is broken but. It’s space the crew is also definitely dead so the Tulpar is just one lost ship in the many cases that PE just throws their hands up on. well you just can’t beat those prices!

This is exactly why it’s so frustrating when people ignore the way P.E’s negligence and lack of care/concern for their employees influences their decisions/behavior.

Like they don’t really care if 30% of their workers regularly go missing or get lost. You think they care if they had locks or adequate training? You think they left supplies on that ship to add them in case of emergency or conflicts? They don’t have adequate medical supplies and even on a regular trip the crew has rations, no abundance and implied very little extra and they STILL added an extra person. If we look at that early HR complaint info graphic they make it extremely difficult to file or make complaints, not to mention actively discouraging it with how many penalties are directly attached to having personal/co-worker conflicts.

They really only want employees there to work and little else. No real enrichment, no real privacy and no back up in case anyone gets hurts, hurts someone else or they get in trouble. I mean Curly really made a point in realizing that no one checks on the fucking nurse for evals! Was it too late? Yeah. But that is something the pony express needed to handle and require, not a Captain with no training or experience in their own medical course as Curly’s crew isn’t the only one who has likely faced these problems.

P.E. Is so oppressive and actively malicious to their employees I can’t fathom how they lasted so long without the literal Geneva convention coming for their ass with how many human rights violations they have.

Like. Oh my gosh it's the mess everything up button how about we all stop hitting the mess everything up button? and no one will reply!! Just tell me you see the "don't hit these buttons" update
