Why did Tamsyn go to such extents to show us how much Gideon hates God and Ianthe at the end of Harrow if she's just gonna undo it next time. It seems bizarre. Gideon is ready to die - and kill Harrow's body at the same time! - rather than swear fealty to him.

Finding out how he was born and how Lilia, the one who hatched him from such love and sacrifice, got "thanked" for it, must be such a huge slap in the face for Malleus. Lilia is the only parent he's ever known, the person closest to him - he was the one who hatched him when his grandmother just couldn't. He gave up so much for him, but in return received only scorn. Malleus would have died before he was even born without Lilia, yet blind hate and bigotry ensured he never got even a hint of thanks for it.

And who did Lilia suffer for all those centuries? Who did he give up his magic and life for? Whose fault is it that he's leaving?

Malleus. It's all because of him.

Lilia himself would of course fiercely object to this view and we all know it's not true, but I have no doubt this is what's going through his head right now.

i think i wouldn’t hate disco elysium’s collage mode nearly as much if it weren’t for 1) the way that it was marketed in such a tasteless, soulless manner, let alone the fact that it was a last ditch distraction from a dead on its feet studio piloted by dumbass thieving execs and released on the day of the court declaration, and 2) those dumbass fucking stickers

like if it had been included with the base game from the start and had been titled something a bit more tasteful and in-line with how i would have liked the feature to be marketed as— something like “exploration mode”, something that perhaps could only be unlocked after completing the game for the first time, AND didn’t have those stupid as hell visually and tonally incongruent with the artstyle stickers, i would have applauded it as a nice little bonus for being able to study and appreciate the 3d models and environments for reference.

I gave myself a writing challenge and I am fascinated by it

So basically I put the robins in a randomizer to give them a new order/role (because I just...kinda wanted to see what would happen + I like role-reversal AUs) and got results that are giving me a fucking brain blast.

Stephanie, the first sidekick who defines the role

Tim, the sidekick who dies and comes back wrong

Dick, the sidekick who saves Batman from himself

Damian, the sidekick who was never supposed to be a sidekick but would go on to prove everyone wrong

Jason, the youngest sidekick who is still the Kid Wonder

...So this is fucking wild. I've got some ideas and several of these fit perfectly (Dick's role is pretty similar to his one in canon), but some of these are fucking INCREDIBLE to explore (Steph being the first Robin is something I never even considered but tbh I kinda love it).

I probably won't write a fic or anything because tbh I don't like publishing my writing that much, but I might expand this into a full AU and post about it. I might randomize other stuff too (ie, stuff that I cannot change vs stuff that I cannot keep the same) but this fucking rules as a starting point.
