Here are some tips for losing weight naturally and healthily:
Eat a balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks.
Exercise regularly. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week.
Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep can lead to weight gain and other health problems. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night.
Drink plenty of water. Water can help you feel full and may also help with weight loss.
Eat slowly and mindfully. Pay attention to your food and try to eat without distractions. This can help you enjoy your meals more and may also help with weight loss.
Limit your intake of alcohol. Alcohol can contribute to weight gain and may also interfere with weight loss efforts.
Seek support from friends, family, or a healthcare professional. Having support can help you stay motivated and on track with your weight loss goals.
Remember, losing weight is not always easy and it may take time. It's important to be patient and consistent in following a healthy lifestyle.

Could you extend on the fat/water for fuel thing you said while fasting please?? Also, some tips? Like you've done this for such a long time it's so impressive
I'm not 100% sure what you're referring to. I'm assuming you're asking about what your body requires to function while still fasting. I'll go into a lot of detail regarding this since I feel like it's important. First of all I'd like to preface this by stating that everyone is different. Some people have deficiencies or immune issues or blood pressure.. the list goes on issues. Before even considering a fast, know your body and it's requirements. I would hate for someone to read anything I write and take my word for it and do something that harms them. I couldn't live that, so please do your research. Regarding what your body needs; if you're already a very thin person, don't fast. You have to understand that when you're eating, your body is burning calories for fuel. When you're not eating, it switches to burning fat. This is ketosis. A lot of the goal of a ketogenic diet is to switch the body over to burning fat for fuel. This is the biggest reason for why people have a really goddamn hard time the first few days of fasting or even starting keto. What people refer to as "keto-flu." It's your body protesting against your switching over to burning fat, when burning calories is so much easier and it's instant energy. Burning fat is a lot more work. So, if you're already thin, your body won't have much fat to burn through. What your body will do instead if burn through muscle and organ tissue. You REALLY do not want that. Bear in mind that even if you have fat deposits, muscle loss is likely to occur anyway, as your body may burn through muscle it thinks you don't necessarily have use for. If you go past a 36h fast, autophagy also begins to occur where your body starts to heal itself. I personally love this and have healed my acne scars through this. I had really bad acne scars and now I have maybe a couple I can see if I look reaaally closely. Putting that aside. You need hydration A LOT of water, and you need fasting minerals (electrolytes). These are mainly sodium, magnesium, and potassium. Now I personally just make snake juice at home, because I like control over what I put inside myself. Water=2L | Potassium chloride =1 tsp | Sodium chloride = 1/2 tsp | Sodium Bicarbonate = 1 tsp Magnesium Sulphate = 1/2 tsp Now it's up to a person to know how long they can fast and how long they should fast, however if you're planning an extended fast. I cannot stress enough to get a general check-up, get professional help during your fast if you can, and monitor your blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Some things I experienced through my many fasts has been throwing up by the way. Usually around day 7-14. I was able to fix this with a mixture of a table spoon of apple cider vinegar and pickle juice. I couldn't drink snake juice anymore, because it was too concentrated it made me feel ill. However the pickle juice had enough minerals to keep me satiated without being overwhelming and the apple cider vinegar balanced me out. No these do not break the fast. This is medically proven to aid with fasting, I didn't just come up with this btw. Also you may find yourself bloated with water as you lose weight and your body decides that it wants to fill the fat you lost with water. Potassium supplements can help with this. Just be careful with your dosage. Little goes a long way. You will pee A LOT. This is normal. You'll pee a lot in the beginning of your fast, as you drop water weight, especially when you got to bed. It slows down towards the middle when your body starts packing on the water. Potassium makes you start the hose again though. Anyway I hope this helps some people, gives some insight. Be careful. Take care of your bodies. Don't be stupid. I can do stupid things, but I try to be a self-aware and well informed idiot. That way I don't have anyone but myself to blame, because I know better.

hello!
I am a nineteen year old girl and I have PCOS. I understand that exercise and a nutritious diet is essential to battle this. I struggle with hair on my chin, dark pigmentation on my neck due to insulin resistance and weight gain.
For increased testosterone which leads to facial hair, I have started taking spearmint tea.
Please tell me how to battle isulin resistance ans weight gain? I do not wish to take supplements and would like natural solutions.
Also, I had been doing at home strength training and hiit workouts on and off the past few years. But now, I do not find any joy in that. Instead, I like pilates and cardio. But I am sceptical about losing weight through pilates. I have a broad body and I would like to change that.
Till now, I have hardly had any problems with my periods. They are fairly regular and the cramps only last a day or too. But lately, I find myself craving more junk and I am scared that instead of getting better, my condition is worsening. I am scared.
Please help me.
I think you're in the right track all around! the first thing I'd like to say is that any form of physical activity that brings you joy and excitement is the right one for you, so if pilates and cardio are the ones doing it for you, pleeeeease dive in. I read somewhere this year that a healthy diet is how you lose weight, but exercise is what keeps the weight loss, so don't worry too much about it. exercise is not a way to burn "extra calories" (we don't actually do that), but rather a way to keep essential events in your body happening at the pace it needs while we give it the appropriate fuel. so do what makes you happy, because that's definitely what you'll do consistently. I personally do pilates at home and I'm in the best shape of my life! it really helps sculpting the muscles lean.
now, I totally recommend you reading about the connections between sugar and PCOS. I read about it just last month and I had never heard of it before (even though I know like a dozen friends who have PCOS and we often talk about it!), so I feel like your message is in very good timing. all the things you mentioned struggling with are things that are related to a diet high in sugar, and that can be lowered, if not reversed completely, through cutting back or cutting off sugar. if you've read my little intro post, you know that I don't eat refined sugar or high-fructose corn syrup, so I can tell you that it's easier than it seems. I recommend looking into a keto diet, and cutting off all highly processed foods (the latter is more of a life advice than a PCOS-specific advice).
and I really want to congratulate you for not going after the instant-meds route here! adjusting your habits before seeking out the aid of pharmaceuticals is such a rare feat these days, so I'm really hopeful for you. I really wish you all the luck! ❤️

Tuesday I entered into a period of what I call “keto rush,” no hunger at all, slightly manic feeling, feel really good and sexual, as my body cycles into burning body fat after a period of refeeding these past two weeks which had followed a period of much more extensive fasting that I did to make weight for my physical. My doctor, who is low key fatphobic and very athletic himself, was very happy with my weight and my numbers generally—low sugar, low cholesterol, kidneys and liver excellent—but reminded me that I had been 20 pounds lighter five years ago ago pre-COVID and said he’d like to see that again.
Due to the fasting I had done to bring my weight down low as possible for the weigh-in, my iron was low, so for the last two weeks I’ve been adding high iron foods (beef, fish, and an iron supplement) and today was when I could feel the reset kick in, very flushed and hot and awake, zero interest in food or eating, feel really strong and energetic, so when this happens I ride it hard—went for 10k run, then upped my weights at the gym for a big pump, added my usual ab routine, stripped and sunned naked out back for an hour, and I’m just going to skip eating for the next day at least but really want to take the fast out to Saturday. Lots of electrolyte water with my microbiotocs, vitamins and herbal T supplements are making me feel really sexualized and hot. Due to the low iron test number, doc wants me retested end of October and didn’t say it but implied dropping those last 20 would be something he’d like to see happen by then.
When the metabolism shifts into keto like this, I usually end up dropping 5-7 pounds of fat in a week which means my daily caloric need goes down permanently, so it’s a cycle that reinforces itself over and over as long as I stay sugar free and keep it going. It’s how I ended up extra lean and staying small and tight as I did for years, and it’s super hot thinking I’m on my way back there again.
This keto rush/fatburn period is when typically I would direct all of this erotic diet-bitch energy toward my partner, making him cum over and over, and his semen would be the only thing I consume for the next three days (beyond my supplements, electrolytes and water). Another piece of how the diet-fetish cycle creates a reinforcement loop—slimmer means sexualized, and feeling more sexualized motivates me to adhere to the dietary restriction.

The Ketogenic Diet Market: Statistics & Facts
Tumblr media
Introduction to the Ketogenic Diet
The ketogenic diet, often referred to as "keto," is a low-carb, high-fat dietary regimen that has gained significant popularity in recent years. The primary principle of the keto diet is to induce a state of ketosis in the body, where fat becomes the primary source of energy instead of carbohydrates. By drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fats, the body becomes incredibly efficient at burning fat for energy. Additionally, it transforms fat into ketones in the liver, which can supply energy for the brain.
Exploring the Ketogenic Diet Market
The keto diet market has witnessed exponential growth over the past decade. According to data from Statista, the global ketogenic diet market size was valued at approximately USD 9.07 billion in 2020 and is projected to reach USD 15.64 billion by 2027. This surge is driven by an increasing awareness of the diet’s benefits, a growing number of health-conscious consumers, and the rise of obesity and related health issues. Market trends indicate a robust demand for keto-friendly products such as snacks, beverages, supplements, and meal replacements.
Benefits and Challenges of the Ketogenic Diet
Benefits
Weight Loss: One of the most touted benefits of the ketogenic diet is its effectiveness in promoting weight loss. By limiting carbohydrate intake and increasing fat consumption, the body is forced to burn stored fat for fuel, leading to weight loss.
Improved Blood Sugar Control: The keto diet has been shown to improve blood sugar control and insulin sensitivity, making it beneficial for individuals with type 2 diabetes.
Enhanced Mental Clarity and Focus: Many proponents of the keto diet report improved mental clarity and focus, as ketones are a potent source of fuel for the brain.
Increased Energy Levels: By providing a steady supply of energy from fats, the keto diet helps prevent energy crashes that are often associated with high-carb diets.
Challenges
Keto Flu: When starting the diet, some people experience flu-like symptoms such as dizziness, fatigue, and irritability, often referred to as the "keto flu."
Nutrient Deficiencies: The restrictive nature of the diet can lead to nutrient deficiencies if not carefully planned.
Digestive Issues: Some individuals may experience digestive issues such as constipation due to the low fiber content of the diet.
Sustainability: Maintaining a ketogenic diet can be challenging in the long term due to its restrictive nature.
The Role of the Ketogenic Diet in Weight Management and Overall Health
The ketogenic diet has proven to be an effective tool for weight management. Studies have shown that individuals on a keto diet tend to lose more weight and maintain it longer compared to those on low-fat diets. The diet's ability to reduce appetite by controlling hunger hormones is a key factor in its success. Moreover, the keto diet has potential benefits for various health conditions, including epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and certain types of cancer. By reducing inflammation and improving metabolic health, the keto diet can positively impact overall health and wellness.
The Future of the Ketogenic Diet
The future of the ketogenic diet looks promising, with ongoing research and emerging trends pointing towards continued growth. Market predictions suggest an increase in the availability of keto-friendly products, making it easier for consumers to adhere to the diet. Additionally, advancements in personalized nutrition and technology are likely to play a significant role in the development of tailored keto plans and products. As more scientific research is conducted, new insights into the long-term effects and potential therapeutic applications of the ketogenic diet will continue to emerge.
Practical Tips for Incorporating the Ketogenic Diet
Start Slow: Gradually reduce your carbohydrate intake while increasing your fat consumption to allow your body to adapt to the new fuel source.
Plan Your Meals: Planning your meals in advance can help you stay on track and avoid reaching for non-keto foods.
Stay Hydrated: Drinking plenty of water is crucial, as the keto diet can lead to increased water loss.
Monitor Your Macros: Keep track of your macronutrient intake to ensure you are staying within the recommended ranges for carbohydrates, fats, and proteins.
Include Electrolytes: Incorporate foods rich in electrolytes, such as leafy greens, avocados, and nuts, to prevent imbalances.
Be Patient: Give your body time to adjust to the diet and don’t get discouraged by initial side effects such as the keto flu.
Conclusion
The ketogenic diet offers a unique and effective approach to weight management and overall health. With its growing popularity and market expansion, keto is more accessible than ever. By understanding its benefits and challenges, and following practical tips for incorporation, individuals can leverage the power of the ketogenic diet to achieve their health and wellness goals. As ongoing research continues to unlock new insights, the future of the ketogenic diet holds exciting possibilities for both consumers and the health industry.
