Idk if this is going to make any sense, but I always feel like there's something missing when I read thoughts about sskk and it really is the impact Kyouka has on them.

Like, a lot of it is "look at the impact Atsushi and Akutagawa have on each other" and "they are so similar at their cores" which is true! And essential for any bsd partner dynamic! But Kyouka also has commonalities - she has Atsushi's general wonder, simple wants and joys, and desire to be helpful and kind, but also Akutagawa's laser focused objectivity, initial lack of questioning orders, and straightforward ruthlessness when required.

But a lot of the external influence on sskk I see mentioned is Dazai and Chuuya's... which I get, because they're the previous double black, but also Chuuya is very minorly involved by proxy only, and while Dazai undeniably is at the heart of sskk conflict (and it's good to analyze in depth!!!), I feel it's understated how much it was actually Kyouka who kickstarted the development between them - Atsushi was brand-new to the Agency, but saving Kyouka cemented his mindset of proving his worth and also gave him someone to look out for - his position became less fragile from that point on and more permanent. Her mix of kindness and darkness also forces Atsushi in the Guild arc to reassess the idea that people are either "good" or "bad". (He's working on this still, but his judgements are becoming much more nuanced than at the beginning.) And as for Akutagawa... I have a lot of thoughts on their dynamic and how I really don't think there's a whole lot of bad blood there anymore after my all-time favourite scene where they fight in Cannibalism arc - but all I will say is that he legitimately thought what he was doing would make her strong enough to survive, and both Kyouka and Atsushi telling him this is wrong, that people can't live being beaten down like that forces him to reassess his own situation in the Hawthorne and Mitchell fight. (He still has a ways to go, but I seriously hope he eventually realizes that his treatment by Dazai was horribly unnecessary and cruel.)

But what's great is that Atsushi and Akutagawa influence her development too! I don't even need to get into Atsushi's: he believes in her potential and sees her as the young girl she is - not a weapon but a person. She starts off pretty much attached to him and only him, but as time goes on, she starts to adopt a more positive mindset and becomes more confident making decisions as a result of his faith in her. With Akutagawa, she is, like Atsushi, forced to reassess others, especially after he tells her he's glad for her having found that will to live. Kyouka is unable to continue fighting him after that, and I get the sense she saw him as a person there, instead of only the man who harmed her. But he also loves how patient she is, how she loves Simon just like he is, mask or not, quiet or chatty. She doesn't push him to explain what he is, or how he became what he is. She met Simon, fell in love with him and allowed him in her life with open arms and open leg-

But if there's one thing he really loves about her is how she somehow immediately accepted Ghost in her life. She asked questions, wanted to know them, to know how they lived inside and with Simon.

Ghost also liked Simon's alt!gf pretty quickly, finding her human quirks charming and bit odd for the alien. Ghost enjoyed being spoken to by Simon's alt!gf, being added in the conversation and naturally added into their odd relationship. 

Ghost enjoys spending time with Simon's alt! gf, well, she is also their gf but Ghost is Simon, and Simon is Ghost, neither can live without the other.

Ghost loves spending time with her because she is patient, quickly adapts to their needs and doesn't get easily scared when Ghost takes on new forms or shapes or asks for peculiar foods to eat on certain days. 

Simon was pleasantly surprised to find that not only his alt!gf had the hots for him but also the symbiote. Not only she wanted to fuck him but also wanted Ghost, and trust me when I say not one night has been boring for the duo (trio??) in bed. 

And who knew Ghost would become extremely involved in their gf's wardrobe and clothes. Simply put, they became absolutely obsessed with what their gf wore. They enjoyed admiring her and helping her pick out clothes for the day. 

The symbiote would go as far as slither between her skin and clothes to feel the textures and if they went well together, they would help zip things close, tie her corsets when she can't reach properly, even help hold her makeup brushes for her when she's doing her makeup and tie her hair for her.

The only thing about NATLA Kataang that confuses me is that Netflix hasn’t been promoting it at all? I’ve seen them promote clips about every single relationship, romantic or platonic, but I haven’t seen them promote any Kataang, which is really odd because Katara’s speech to Aang is kind of the penultimate moment of the finale. So I’m just kind of stumped on that. Any insight?

I think they're doing it for a couple of reasons.

They left out Kataang because of the age difference, so in the show, Kataang isn't there in any overt level. All questions in interviews have been about the Netflix adaptation and events. I think I have seen platonic Kataang promo though. The only real duo they promote are Zuko and Iroh, Gaang falls into a trio, and there's very little I've seen on Sukka and Yuekka (they don't even ask about the romances in interviews). So there's just, no need to promote it yet and they're ignoring the romance for all characters for the most part.

The actors are young, like, in school young. When the ship isn't confirmed yet but they talk about Kataang, it might lead to shipping wars getting into their mentions. Idk about the PJO fandom but I know Percabeth is very present in the show & they promote it, but I'm p.sure everyone is unanimous on Percabeth being a thing, no one's fighting it so they can more safely go about it without people getting in their mentions. Kataang though, garners attention from people engaging in ship wars. To the point they asked the show runner about it and even HE, a grown man, said he didn't want to talk about it and avoided it implying that it's been going on too long(and then talked about the Kataang scene). The ship wars in ATLA are brutal and the kids really don't need to be exposed to that. Like already I've seen people being very weird about Dallas and Kia and dismissing Gordon entirely because he's "too baby" or "not handsome enough" and that people are waiting for Kia to turn 18 to "ship her with Dallas" gross gross barf even typing it made me feel disgusting (about a million stereotypes about POC and indigenous people and young girls and boys are at play here and I am appalled). I think this is why Zukka of all things is being promoted on any official capacity (more than Sukka or Yuekka): it's not gonna be real and no one thinks it has a chance, it's harmless. If any ship war harm does come they can handle it, and baiting always brings views and it's mostly harmless since they play it off as fun anyways (like no one is legit upset, most are rolling their eyes or know what's happening and playing along).

Kataang in Netflix right now, would be considered spoilers. They still promote Zuko as the villain in interviews(or at least, bad guy antagonist). They don't mention any season 2 things or future storylines. If they get more into it in season 2, I'm sure the talks will begin. We have to keep in mind that many people watching NATLA might not know what Avatar is about, what the dynamics are. This is their first intro to the world. So they're keeping all cards close to their chest I guess.

being the middle ground of these two is absolutely hellish. two talkative beings, both make bad decisions. bonus if you are just as chaotic as they are combined.

wheatley frequently argues with bill yet bill is the only one who can come up with comebacks that make sense. if anything, wheatley once screamed out “deez nuts” as an argument when bickering with the triangle guy

you can’t go a night without hearing something crash in the living room

okay arguing aside, when these two are passive with each other you three make a great trio seriously

wheatley likes to tell you about what’s on his mind and asks the dumbest shit known to man (he also asks unanswerable questions. none of them make sense) but you don’t mind yet you try to answer them, or you flat out just stare at him with confusion or idk whatever emotion, he’ll just be looking at you expectantly for your answer

bill answers the questions if you can’t first or answers after you. he makes sure his answers are as snarky as possible which makes Wheatley want to punch him (if Wheatley is human/Android in here, he will.)

anyway, hugging the two is weird but oddly nice. 

if you project Wheatley to be human/android, he’s fairly awkward when it comes to hugging (he tenses up occasionally in the hug, he doesn’t mean to) and depending on his mood, his grip can be soft to rib crushing hard, either type of hugging is nice.. hopefully. he also comments on everything during the hugs unless you ask for him not to. don’t worry, he’ll be fine with shutting up or not!

That morning you and Yolotli got up early, today was a different lesson. You will now be teaching the other boys how to be able to get a hold of fire, but also wanted to show them the Cenote. Controlling it will be tricky but since they managed to bond with a Ni’awve it should be simple. 

You had dressed into a Quechquemitl, a dress that exposed your shoulders and collarbone, the skirt went mid calf. The top was orange color with yellow designs around the top trim. The skirt was a cream color with fire like embroidery on the bottom. You then put on a jade necklace and two gold wrists cuffs, gifted to you as a day of your birth gift. You had put on your other jade jewelry that you wore on a daily basis. You decided not to wear your headdress, you let your hair down since you didn’t really put it up or did anything to it. Yolotli had dressed in a high waited huipil cream colored skirt, with a pink and purple feathered top. Just like you, she wore the same jewelry and her hair was braided in two with red colored ribbons. 

Afterwards you left, not before sneaking some chocolate from mama, Petli. Your mother Nicte hates when you’d only have chocolate for breakfast. As you walked down the steps you chatted about todays events. You were both on your way to go get you got called by your close friend to play a game of ball, you agreed and went over. Yolotli then left to go get the boys to start today’s lessons.

You and your friend had been playing for a while, passing each other the ball by hitting it with your hip. You knew later that day, your hips may be sore due to hitting the heavy ball. You and the other girl have been focused on the game that you didn’t see the boys and your sister approaching. They small trio watch you play, seeing how good you were at this. They had never scene a game like this back home, this was new to them. Your best friend  Eztli has passed you the ball. She was a tall na’vi, much taller than you or any other girl in the village. You knew that she’d become the greatest warrior in the future. You saw how Eztli stopped and looked at Neteyam. Ever since he had bonded with the Ni’awve she began to have feelings for him, you noticed how her face would go red when she saw him. 

“Hey, do you guys want to play?” you asked, looking at the duo. “We don’t know how to play” Neteyam said as Eztli walked over him, towering him, she had a small smile on her face. “I could teach you, we’ll play in teams” she said taking Neteyam’s hand and dragged him towards the group. You all then set up two groups. You with Ao’nung and Neteyam with Eztli, meanwhile Yolotli sat back and watched. You had said the instructions then everyone began to play. 

At first Ao’nung and Neteyam weren’t doing well, but as the game went on, they began to catch on. You all forget about today’s lessons, you were to focused on the game and laughing. Lessons can wait. The game went on until noon, you had been playing for hours, until you finally stopped, in a tie. You could catch up later. “Well, good thing we won’t have to sacrifice you” you said sitting down on the floor in a circle. Both Ao’nung and Neteyam looked at you with a confused look. “Sacrifice?” they said at the same time as Eztli replied “yeah, the team that losses gets sacrificed, its to keep Eywa happy” she said looking at Neteyam the whole time, her face had turned a light pink. Both Neteyam and Ao’nung gulped the at this new knowledge. Your believes and practacies were brutal, they have never really heard of such thing. “In the harvest seasons, we sacrifice to nourish Eywa and so that she gives us our harvest” Yolotli said in the nicest way possible seen that both boys looked disturbed. 

“Well, now come one, we got to teach them now” you said getting up and the other’s followed. “But first, we should take them to  Le ts'ono'oto' “ The Cenote you said as the boy looked confused. “The Cenote” You said forgetting that they didn’t understand Yucatec. “What is that?” Ao’nung asked, making you smirk, that mischievous grin “you’ll see” you said walking as the others followed you. 

You all walked around in the woods that was near the volcano, you had gone deeper into the woods. Eztli had been by Neteyam side the whole time, she had been asking him questions about his life and stuff. You didn’t like seeing how your best friend was talking with him, with interest. Finally you had arrived to a cave and walked in, the came was dark but their was a light that illuminated the whole cave. “What is this place?” Ao’nung asked, seeing the paintings on the walls. Some of na’vis, some symbols, mythical creatures  both Neteyam and Ao’nung never seen. They did not miss the na’vi sacrifices painted on the wall. “This is where it all began, were our ancestors began their own traditions, and other beliefs.” You explained as you walked. Till you got to the end of the cave. 

The end of the cave was a huge lake of lava, at the end of the cave was what they assumed was a spirit tree, it looked like the one back in the forest but it glowed orange instead of red, then their was a huge hole above the cave, showing the blue sky along with the sunlight. “That is our spirit tree” you said as both Neteyam and Ao’nung looked around, they had never been closer to lava, ever. “How do you get to the other side?” Ao’nung asked as you smiled. “You’ll see” you said you began to walk forward towards the lava. “Wait, what are you doing?” Neteyam asked worriedly, you got closer to the orange liquid. “What if you get hurt?” Ao’nung asked now anxious. “It’s okay, calm down, as long as I am out with in an our, I’ll be okay” you said as you then stepped into the lava. Both boys expected you to be burning alive, but no. You were fine.

You saw how both Ao’nung and Neteyam’s jaws had dropped, witnessing you not being burned to a scrip. “See” you said as you dipped your hand into the lave and lifted some onto your hand, letting it run down your fingers. “Just like water, but warm” you said as then Yolotli and Eztli joined in the lave, swimming around. “Come on” Eztli said towards the boys. At first they hesitated, but Ao’nung was the first one to step in, he thought he was going to die, but once his body was fully in the water, he was fine. “You’re right, its warm” he said as he floated with the rest of you. “Come on Neteyam!” you said as Neteyam finally budged. He slowly walked over and stepped in with his eyes closed, ready for anything, but nothing happened. He opened his eyes and seeing you all looking at him. “See, nothing is wrong, did you forget once you bonded with the Ni’awve you could never burn or be in lava?” you said laughing, Neteyam also laughed. “Yeah, sort of” he admitted, feeling his face heat up. Neteyam couldn’t help but stare at you, he had notice small details about you. How your teeth seemed to be pointy, and how they had gems engraved into your teeth. He also noticed a few moles here and there, some little scars around your face. 

For a bit you all swam around the lava for a while, until you all got out because you began to feel the lava getting hotter, if you stayed longer, you’d get burned. You all headed out the Cenote. “That was fun” Neteyam said still a bit surprise that he was swimming in lava. “I know right” Eztli said smiling at the forest na’vi. “Now, the lessons start” you said as you walked towards the village, you had lead the small group into a little training field, but no weapons, their were four big fire torches, then there was a huge cauldron in the middle with a lit fire. 

“You will learn to get a hold of fire” you said walking over to the cauldron. “This is the important part, getting a hold of it, it may be tricky at first since you’ve never got a hold of fire. So we’ll do something easy, baby steps since you haven’t mastered fire yet.” You said as you then put your hand into the fire, before Neteyam and Ao’nung could react on you getting burned, they were surprised seeing that you were not burning, you were holding the fire as if it were a woodsprite. The fire burned in your hands but not you, they were fascinated seeing how the flame danced around your palm. Then you turned to a torch that was not lit, then lifted your hand up towards the torch then flicked your finger. They all witness the flame fly out of your hand and into the torch lighting it. Both Neteyam and Ao’nung’s jaws dropped.

You turned around and smiled at them. “Anyone wanna try?” you asked as Ao’nung then stepped out, with a cocky smirk. “I’ll try” he said making you smile, motioned him to come close. “Okay, most importantly, do not think of the fire burning, see it more of a guide. Don’t panic” You mentioned as Ao’nung took a deep breath, then he dipped his hand into the fire. Once he lifted his hand up, their was a small flame in his palm. “I did it!” he said excitedly, seeing the flame in his hand dancing around, but he also noticed how the flame got a bit bigger. “Great, now try and light up a torch.” You said stepping away from him. Ao’nung then looked at torch next to the lit one, he took another deep breath. He lifted his arm as if he was going to throw something, then he swing his arm forward, the flame had flown fast into the torch lighting. You had an impressed look on your face. “Very impressive, not bad for a merman” you said smirking at him, seeing how his cheeks had turned a lilac color.

Ao’nung took a minute to look at you, he for some reason loved seeing you smirking, either if it was a mischievous smirk, but it was also your smile. Those red eyes, he could stare at them all day. Then it was Neteyam’s turn, Eztli had offered to help him instead, in which you agreed. You watched how close she was getting with him, helping him by positioning him and stuff. You felt a bit of anger, seeing your best friend get close to him. You let out a small growl but shook your head off by the thought, no you couldn’t have any kind of feeling for him or Ao’nung. They were different, and you are to be the next  Tsahìk. You had to pick a mate that was like you, or not have a mate if you didn’t wish to have that commitment.

When lessons were over, you all were just sitting on the field, just chatting about stuff along with answering questions. “So, why is there no Olo'eyktan?” Neteyam asked as you replied “well, since our clan is female dominated we go by Tsahìk which is the feminine version of clan leader or a Na' le kaajo', which translate to Mother of the people. Which sometimes that role leads towards the Tsahik female mate.” You said as then Ao’nung asked. “What if the Tsahik has a male mate? What is her refered to?” he asked as Yolotli responded. “He’d go by  consorte, which is consort” she said, Neteyam asked another question. “What if the Tsahik has more than one mate?” again you replied “well, its the same honestly just that you add an s depending whatever mates you have, if you have two female mates then its The mothers of the people and males are consorts.” You said, now they understood. “You need to teach us how to speak Yucatec” Ao’nung said as you along with Yolotli and Eztli laughed. “Okay okay, but I tell you, it might not be easy” you teased. 

“How are the Iknimaya done here?” Ao’nung now asked. “Well first you’ll have to tame a Ahuizotl, a wild creature that lives in the ponds, it guards the fish that live in the lakes. They’re aggressive to those that go near the pond. If you get close to the pond they’ll snatch you up and feat on your eyes, nails and teeth.” You said, having both Ao’nung and Neteyam’s attention. You continued “Sometimes they trick you by letting out the wail of crying baby, to lure you in. Their tale is a hand that snatches you away.” then Neteyam spoke. “Have any of you completed your Iknimaya?” then you, Eztli and Yolotli nodded. “Yeah, it was a too easy for me” you said confidently. “I’ll introduce you to Ki'ichpanil (Beauty), she is nice, sometimes” you said smiling at them. “Not only do you have to tame a Ahuizotl, you have to walk a long mile in hot rocks too, the whole mile must be walked, and if you back down, then you wouldn't have your right of passage.” Yoloti mentioned. Eztli then responded “will you both do your iknimaya?” she asked curiously. They both looked at one another, for a moment. “We might as well, since we do want your people’s help” Neteyam responded. 

When it had gone dark, everyone went home. Once home you, Yolotli, your mothers Nicte and Petli sat down for dinner. You all ate and talked about your day, the whole time you had been thinking of both Ao’nung and Neteyam, you couldn’t explain why you have been thinking about them. That night before you went to bed, you continued on your weaving, you had began weaving red, blue and teal Textile materials. You normally didn’t weave like your mama and Yolotli, you had been making a poncho, well two ponchos, but they each were going to have there own pattern, one that resembled the forest and the other that resembled the sea. You didn’t understand why you were doing this, you just did. 

“It’s okay you know” your sister who had walked in, you had moved your eyes from the weaving to her. “What do you mean?” you asked as she had a smile on her face. She sat next too you, seeing your work. As kids you and Yolotli would weave for hours and hours, trying to see who could weave faster, but once you got older you stopped, since you began with your Tsahik lessons. “Who are they for?” she asked as you looked down at the blue and red work “they’re... welcoming gifts for our guests” you said, referring to them as now guests instead of friends like you had began to do so. “Y/n, It’s okay to see someone or a pair, outside our clan” she said but you just shock your head. “No Yolotli, I can’t, I am to be the next Tsahik, I must be with our own kind.” You said now leaving your work and went to get ready for bed. Yolotli knew that you were tough, prideful and have a huge ego but you were also soft. She could see right through you, she knew when you were sad, frustrated and scared, she knew everything.

That night when you and Yolotli had gone to bed, Yolotli had prayed to Eywa, she prayed, you were happy. She knew you had a big responsibility but you also needed happiness, that was something mama Petli would tell the both of you, but your mother Nicte wants you and y/n to be the toughest warriors, she was a bit hard on y/n for being the oldest child, but she also showed that she cares and does, she loves both you and Yolotli equally. That night you had dreamed, you had dreamed of the sounds of the forest and the song of the sea, along the lines, you had also dreamed of the consumed by the fire.

My thoughts on the pjo show (now that the season is over) (this is going to run long) Overall Rating: 8/10 :

Ok first of all, I actually LOVED the show and the cast is literally awesome; I do have some thoughts and feelings tho.

The GOOD :D

The visuals were eating ngl

THE CAST!!!! they literally were amazing cannot stress this enough

I think a lot of the changes were handled super well, especially Medusa (although I don't love all of the changes...see below in the next section lol)

I LOVED the set design for pretty much all of the scenes!!! Like the set & costuming was literally so good; sometimes it looked a little Volume-y but I think it's ok since they also clearly did a bunch of on-location stuff

Driving scene was literally so funny like no notes on that + the acting was On Point pretty much All of the Time.

I actually think they slayed with the special effects

Pretty accurate! (overall a waaaaaay better adaptation than the movies)

BLUE FOOD!!!!

More Sally content was awesome!! And I cannot stress this enough the ACTORS WERE SO GOOD in their roles!! Like I think they were the perfect choices ngl and I hope to see more of them in season 2 (if we get one, idk if its greenlit yet)

I also liked how they focused on Grover's character more (lowkey my fav now)

Genuinely had a great time watching the scenes from the books I've loved since Forever come to life onscreen!

The character dynamics were GIVING

Loved getting more info about Percy's backstory

The way they showed the Mist was honestly so cool!! This might be filed under Visuals but still...it was so cool

Fight choreo fluctuated, but I liked the Percy vs Luke fight (altho the scorpion erasure ;-;)

Again the chemistry with the actors like adkjhfdkjdfkjhdfjkhk I think the acting may have been my fav part honestly lol

All of the easter eggs for the fans!!

Rick's subtle rewriting of the story was sometimes very cool! (Like with the water grabbing Percy etc) --- you can definitely tell that he's thinking about how he'd change the story if he were to write it today

...HOWEVER i have gripes :(

THE LIGHTING WAS TOO DARK IN NIGHT SCENES!!!! HATE THAT TROPE WHY CANT I SEEEEEEEE (looking at u medusa scene)

I feel like they should've fallen into like…at least one trap without Knowing Everything about it. Like, I get the Medusa change and am pretty on board with it, but I feel like a few of the other changes weren't really necessary & messed with the stakes. A lot of the time it felt like I was watching them explain "Oh you're THIS person so you will do THIS so I will do THIS" instead of like...showing me.

Not enough blood (this is prob a Disney problem, not the show creators fault but like...cmon Disney...they have swords, let the children get More Injured...they are Fighting for their Lives)

Felt kinda...dryer than the books? idk how to explain it...like it felt like there wasn't the same Vibes in some parts if that makes sense, like they switched out a lot of funny moments (esp with how they changed Charon and the Crusty scenes lowkey im bitter)

the tone was definitely sometimes waaay different from the books (like it was way more serious I think, which is good sometimes and less good other times)

Idk if this is 100% true bc my last reread was a few months ago, but I think they separated the main trio more than in the book (?), it felt like they were duo-ed with diff members for a lot rather than building off of their main dynamic -- they had some trio moments but ig i just wanted more (again, I could be wrong on this one tho)

Lotus Casino not really being as Fun (the pumping lotus flowers in the air was a cool detail tho!)

It generally felt like they took a lot of the funny parts in favor of talking more about how messed up the gods are (which I liked sometimes!! but the kids are 12 let them have more funny moments too yaknow) (Rip the Died in the Bathtub line...gone but not forgotten)

I really didn't love the changes that made the story feel more Cliche and Basic (the ones that annoyed me were changing the entire DOA to just Some Standard Death Eater Looking Fellow & Annabeth's interactions with Cerebus being completely changed)

Mixed feelings on Gabe...I wanted him to be more evil at the beginning but I get why they changed it ig. Plus he was literally so funny when he (spoilers?) got murdered by opening someone else's mail. That's what happens when you commit a federal crime ig.

General Character Thoughts:

PERCY: Walker Scobell was such a good casting call... like you can tell he really cares about the books & getting the character right. Acting was on point, sass was on point (but I do wish he got to be sassy a bit More); Really gives off the energy of Percy Jackson and definitely was AMAZING in this role!

ANNABETH: She was spectacular in this role!! Leah got literally all of Annabeth down to a T --- her kindness, her pride, her wisdom, etc etc without resorting to any kind of "stock smart girl" vibe. She was literally SO GOOD! I loved seeing her talk about her dad, and the detail about her not having seen a movie is such a mood and so in-character lowkey. Leah really nailed Annabeth's dry humor and general vibe like dfajkhfdjhkfdhjk

GROVER: He was my favorite! Like, his acting was AMAZING fr!!! They brought a lot of newer things into his character that I think worked really well & it definitely strengthened his characterization --- he was also really funny & so sincere I just loved his portrayal of Grover!

HOWEVER I think some of the arcs are shakier since the characters didn't struggle as much, since they were figuring out a Lot of things

Overall, I took 2 points from the rating because the Spirit and Humor weren't fully there and I felt some of the changes made it feel less like the OG and more cliche (looking at u Charon). However, the great acting, pretty slay writing (except for the tone stuff), Vibes, and all the other stuff I think they did right pulled through to get it ranked a little higher lol. Plus, I liked it, even if I didn't like all of it.

No hate if u loved the show adaptation tho!! Feel free to disagree, these are just my thoughts lol. I really genuinely hope there's going to be a season 2, although I would like if they fix a few of these problems in that potential season (please...let me see what's happening in the dark scenes...please...)

Notes: Idk what I was thinking making this around midnight but here we are. This is around 2.3k words in total :’) its has a little yandere sense but I didn’t mean to qwq so sorry about that. Hope ya’ll like this!

Oh no! You accidentally turned into a baby because of an alchemy accident caused by a certain single-brained duo. Luckily you were entrusted to reliable people to take care of you until the potion wore off. And those people are…

The savanaclaw gang!

Not gonna lie, Ace and Deuce really got even more dumber when they decided that “yes let us hand our precious little prefect to the most dangerous dorm there is with an equally dangerous yet lazy leader” I wonder why or how Deuce agreed to that decision-

At first, none of the three well-known members of the Savanclaw dorm wanted to take you in when the Adeuce (or Hunting Season in english translation) appeared before them with your baby self being held by Deuce which is similar to how Simba was held. 

Jack wanted to take you in, feeling partially responsible for what happened to you even though it was not his fault to begin with, but profusely denied the part where he felt attached to you for your cute younger self. He was also a big brother to his siblings so he felt those protective brother instincts coming back inside him. Leona and Ruggie on the other hand, flat out refused to take care of you. Ruggie’s reason being - “well I won’t get paid taking care of them right? then why bother wasting precious time on them if I don’t even get a single madol out of it!” Though he gotta admit that seeing your defenseless form did stir up his brother instincts like Jack, it reminded him of the kids and siblings back from his home. And what about our lion? “Can’t bother taking care of a brat.” 

But putting aside Leona’s grumbling and threats, the two pair of beastmen decided to take pity on you and bring you into their beastly dorm (not before Ruggie asking for payment for taking care of you). The housewarden rolled his eyes at the blatant disrespect of his two dormmates as the Adeuce pair ran off, leaving defenseless innocent baby you behind with the trio of beasts. 

They all collectively agreed that Jack gets to take care of you first. Jack sighed in disappointment as Leona and Ruggie rushed away, leaving you in his arms. Looking around to make sure he was alone. He looked down at you, meeting eyes with your big pair of doe eyes before smiling softly. Well, he wouldn’t mind taking care of you for a while.

Jack is an excellent brother to his siblings, he immediately tends to their aid and scolds them rightfully if they make a mistake. He makes sure his siblings know as they grow older that success stems from mistakes, learn from your mistakes and grow with it. He is great at taking care of you since he had taken care of his younger siblings back at home, making sure you were well-fed and drinking a lot of water, making sure your appearance is presentable with zero speck of dirt (probably learned it from Vil) and etc. He can almost rival Lilia in being a babysitter (I can safely assure you that Lilia tried to take you away from him but all he received was a growl and bright glowing golden eyes, no one’s touching his pup). 

Jack is able to handle his studies and taking care of you while entertaining you perfectly, sometimes doing both at the same time. Even though it was embarrassing for him, he brings you to his classes where his classmates and teacher stare at you and him together. Epel fawned over you too before giving you a perfectly-sculpted apple carving he made. His classmates, especially Epel, swear that Jack can be seen smiling while looking at you either sleeping or playing with the toy he brought along. 

He gets so flustered if you reach and/or touch his ears or tail, even though he tells you to stop it, he doesn’t really push you away. Heck he might even use his Unique Magic (Signature Spell) to turn himself into a wolf where you excitedly play with him, loving his soft fur. He will never admit to anyone but he loves seeing the happy shine in your eyes whenever you gaze at his beastly form, he will take this secret to his grave (but it’s not like it’s much of a secret since everyone in Savanaclaw can tell he has a soft spot for you).

No one gets to mess with you when he’s around though, whether they are teasing you or bullying you, he won’t let them get away. There was this one time where one of the Savanclaw members and his friend thought it was a good idea to steal you away from Jack to play with you - and when I play, I meant to taunt your poor baby self till you’re crying. Safe to say Jack went ballistic when he found out you were missing. It took Leona’s presence to make Jack stop before he kills his two dormmates, not even Ruggie can stop him or anyone! Jack held you tightly in his arms while glaring at the two quivering in fear students, swearing to himself that he’ll make sure to not let any harm befall on you. It’s safe to presume that he became a bit overprotective of you.

“Tch to think that two of my dormmates decided it was a fun idea to take you away from me when I wasn’t looking to make you cry. Grrr I should’ve made them beg for mercy some more- I-I mean. Shh don’t cry. I’m sorry for saying something mean… I promise I’ll make sure that no one will make you cry, wolf honor.”

Ruggie had to practically steal you away from Jack, who wouldn’t want to let you go even though it was not anymore his turn. He sighed in exasperation, he knew the wolves blood running through Jack were something but he didn’t expect to see his junior becoming so attached to your baby self, who would be turning back soon when the potion wears off. He looks at your chubby face before pinching one side, making you cry out. He snickered mischievously as he placed an affectionate kiss on your forehead. “Looks like we’ll be partners in crime”

Istg Jack’s blood pressure would skyrocket when it’s Ruggie’s turn to take care of you. Because knowing Ruggie, he would involve you in all sorts of mischief. Though most of the students admit that the sly hyena did tone down a bit whenever you were in his possession, but it doesn’t mean he’s going to stop his mischievous streak. In fact, he lets you join his heist. Using your cuteness as his advantage, he gets to get away with a lot of things. A few examples were stealing some food from unsuspecting students who were busy cooing at you, skipping out some lessons using you to make the teachers go soft (believe me it works 99.99%). Of course, you have a reward for working so hard being his partner in crime. He shares with you his donuts that he bought using Leona’s money. 

Let’s you tag along if you want to join him while he runs his errands, makes sure you are tightly secured around his neck before setting off. Glares at anyone who tries to look at you funny while holding you tightly. If you want to play around, away from him, he makes sure to tell you to play only around that area. If in-danger, shout for help, he’ll come running to save you. Also, he lets you touch his ears. Probably likes it too, making happy noises when you scratch a sensitive area. Does your hair too! He knows how to style it nicely if you have long hair, braids? check. ponytail? check. bun? check. Anything you want, he’ll get it for you. Though he can’t help but sigh during the night. Here he was moments ago making fun of Jack awhile ago when he also got attached to you, pretty funny huh?

Ruggie makes sure to make you laugh or smile every 5 minutes, he loves seeing your smile and hearing your laughter. With a grin on his face, he mercilessly tickles you, joining in moments later to duet with your laughter. Sometimes he makes himself a complete fool in front of you to hear your laughs and claps. He’ll do anything to keep you happy, no baby should ever experience what he had to go through while growing up. He’ll even spare some of his precious time to make you some flower crowns (he stated in his fairy gala card that he does know how to make them for his siblings), placing it in your head while mocking a bow in front of you, pretending you were a royal despite him hating royals. Maybe you were an exception to that. 

“Shishishi you look absolutely adorable, your majesty! You can make everyone kneel before you with your face- I mean power alone. Hmmm it’s probably time to eat. Don’t want to starve our little treasure now. I know! Why don’t we use Leona’s credit card to get something you like! Do you like that, sweet buns?” 

Now, this is a bit tricky. Leona could careless about you, all he wanted was to take his naps. The duo can take care of you, it’s none of his concern. But when Ruggie unceremoniously dropped you on his stomach while he was napping in the Botanical Garden, telling him it was his turn. He can’t help but groan as he glares at your innocent eyes that were staring back at him. Great, now what the hell is he supposed to do with a baby version of the herbivore?

Leona is pretty surprised that you don’t fuss a lot, unlike his nephew, and is considerately calm for a child. It’s a bonus for him that you take naps also while you’re in his presence, probably worn out after playing around with Ruggie and Jack. Though he does get concerned if he wakes up to find you still sleeping on his chest, making sure to listen in your heartbeat if you’re still alive. He knew that children needs their daily sleep, but isn’t this too much for you despite him also doing it? (“do as what he says, not what he do” y’know) Wakes you up gently while patting your head, with a smirk on his face, and asks you if the members of his dorm wore you out.  

Pretty much carries you around too. One hand under you as he lets his other hand hang beside him, he walks through the halls of the school and dorm with you in his arms. It must be a pretty sight seeing the grumpy lion holding an adorable child like you in his arms. Though the students don’t get to say much since Leona silences them with a glare. If Ruggie manages to make him attend classes, he’ll bring you inside his class to play with you. Honestly it’s better than him skipping or sleeping during classes, though he does get reprimanded by the teacher since most of the students in his class gets distracted by you playing with Leona’s hair or hands or maybe even his ears-

Honestly spoils you rotten by giving you everything you wanted that you probably don’t even need at this age, letting Ruggie run the errands with promises of giving him a raise or something. The details were lost to the lion as he watched a smile form in your face at the sight of three freshly-bought stuffed lion, hyena and wolf. Takes a picture to himself of you sleeping surrounded by the said-plushies, deciding to keep it as a memory (or for blackmail purposes who knows).

Uses his tail to entertain you too while laying down on the grass or his bed. It brings a smile on his face when he sees you trying to grab his tail but ultimately failing when Leona swishes it away from you, making you land on your face. A chuckle would escape him when he sees a determined look on your face as you stare at his tail. A few minutes later, he decided to show you some mercy by letting you finally grab his tail. He swears his heart soared when he sees how happy you got when you were finally victorious in grabbing his tail. 

“Hm? Oh? Impressive, herbivore. You managed to finally capture my tail. Now what kind of prize do you want? Another plushie? Food?… Ah, looks like the treasure is sleepy now. C’mere, I’ll let you sleep on my chest for now. Consider it your prize… Goodnight, herbivore” (should I mention that Leona gave you an affectionate kiss on top of your head right after you fell asleep? no? well you certainly didn’t hear it from me-)

Leona would like to say he wasn’t as protective as his other two members, but Jack and Ruggie disagree with that statement. Leona is even worse. He’s overprotective of you to the point that if someone comes near the 5m radius of you, they’ll receive his glare and threats. It came to the point where Jack and Ruggie had to pry you away from the lion to get their time with you as well. Honestly it’ll become a bit of a fight with the three, all wanting to keep you for themselves. While you happily sat, watching the fight with a happy giggle.

Luckily (or unluckily), you managed to change back to your original age before the three could kill each other. Honestly, the three of them were a bit disappointed that you weren’t a child anymore. (“should I revert them back to being a baby?” “nO-“ “… maybe” “no.”). But, dear little treasure, did you think just because you are now the same age as Jack that they will stop treating you like a child? Oh dear, no no no! They’ll continue to treat you as a precious treasure of Savanaclaw, their protective nature wouldn’t go away that easily. Don’t worry, treasure, they won’t bite.

Chapter title: The Plan is in Motion

Trevor being Trevor wanted to stay true to his plan and move on to the next step of his plan. The next step was to talk to Skylar about the same thing he talked to Jamie about.

Of course he wasn't going to be as obnoxious when he got to her door, so instead he politely knocked on the door. When he heard Skylar's voice telling him to come in, he opened the door to see the girl on her laptop editing pictures she took earlier in the day.

"Hey, Skylar." Trevor greeted as he awkwardly closed the door.

"Hello, Trevor." Skylar looked up from her computer.

"I wanted to ask you a question." He told the girl as he walked further into her room.

The girl looked at him confused. "What is it?" She asked reaching over to close her computer.

"Based on what i've seen of your interactions with Jamie, are you two together? Jamie denied it, so I wanted to ask you." Trevor asked the first of many questions that he wanted to ask.

"No. We're not together. If you're asking that for yourself, Trevor, I swear to god." Skylar responds turning back to her desk thinking he's done asking questions.

"I don't know where you got that assumption from. Do you like Jamie in that way though?" Trevor pushed on.

"That's for me to worry about, and for you to find out." she responds not looking away from her computer.

"So you do like him!" Trevor exclaims.

"I never said that." the Baer girl responds blushing.

"I knew it!" He continued happily.

"Zegras! Quiet or leave my room because i'm trying to finish these." She exclaims turning towards the boy sitting on her bed.

The boy eagerly nods before running out of the room. He got the exact answers he wanted from both of his roommates. The Zegras boy runs back to his room happily with how his mission is going so far.

STEP TWO:

GET THEM TO ADMIT THEIR FEELINGS TO EACH OTHER.
