Background Noise in Ep. 5 of 7 Days Before Valentine
Every time a series mentions the color coding, an angel gets her wings. Let's hope Q gets his.
Tumblr media
The visuals before said "once devil" and now Q is covering up the e to make it ONE Devil.
Tumblr media
The way red is used in this series to show temptation, desire, and passion.
Tumblr media
Because when Sunshine isn't dark, he is red.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y'all gonna learn that pink =💕love💕 in 2023 even if it's the only thing you learn this year.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The way this landlady continues to say the plot out loud each week.
Tumblr media
This isn't background noise at this point. This is in our faces. As it should be.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE BITCHES IN THE BACK!
Tumblr media
Remember Me, Naughty Babe, Be My Favorite, A Boss and a Babe, Laws of Attraction and so many other BLs took up this fight in 2023, but I really need y'all to understand why marriage equality is so important for those of you who continue to argue in my tags that "there are laws to protect us" BECAUSE MARRIAGE IS QUICK ACCESS TO ALL OF THOSE RIGHTS without the time or financial effort.
Tumblr media
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE BITCHES IN THE BACK!
Tumblr media
I do NOT believe in the institution of marriage but that is MY choice, and everyone should be allowed to choose. This isn't a conversation about marriage, but RIGHTS!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lights are the brightest here because some of y'all need to see the damn light and understand just how important this conversation is.
Tumblr media
And how we will be thrown back into the darkness to hide if people do not continue to fight for our rights.
Tumblr media
Which is why our adorable flower boy lives in fear that "they might send [him] to get cured."
Tumblr media
And we continue to have lavender marriages.
Tumblr media
Q, who always wears white, is turning gray.
Tumblr media
Shit's about to get rough.

Im an american and I'm so scared of the future. I think I'm gonna die under a trump presidency and I don't what to do.
There are people dying under Biden now and with the supreme court decision to criminalize homeless people I suspect that there will soon be more.
That to say, solidarity will be our salvation in the face of fascists trying to divide us with fear and attacks on our rights. Yeah it is terrifying, but there are more oppressed people than there are oppressors. There is a reason they are attacking our communities one at a time, fear mongering, and trying to make us choose a side all at the same time.
What you need to do is the scary thing and put your trust in activists and leftists who are desperately shouting from the rooftops that the most important thing we can do right now is put our foot down and disengage from a corrupt two party system that only uplifts white supremacist fascists.
We have an awful government because we allow awful people in our government. Point blank. There is no getting around that or making excuses for it anymore. That led us here, right?
Whatever happens, no matter how this election goes the next 4 years are going to be impossible to describe in how bad it will be for people across the planet and the planet itself.
Honestly? You should be scared. Only fascists wouldnt be. But, if you're able to do something about it then let that fear turn into rage and become your fire.
Get mad at the people who put you in this impossible position. Because they knew better and they didn't care about your life or the millions of others at risk everyday! Why the hell should any of us keep playing into a system where our own president (and plenty of other politicians throughout time) can say we should die for the economy, for this country, for them when they wont let us walk down the street holding hands with our trans partner, when they kill our communities for jogging while Black, when they wont even let us live in poverty without sending us to prison!! People work themselves to the bone in this country to get by and you're telling me they'll never own or deserve a home? That even at the end of serving a long war, one of the most patriotic and respectable things you can do for an imperialist country, a veteran's kindest statistic to come home to is still an early death?
Fuck that.
Shits fucked. It's been fucked for a long time. If you're fine now you'll probably be fine under Trump if we're being honest.
But if that chance you won't be keeps you up at night, know that you aren't alone. That fear in your heart, that pit in your stomach is something every oppressed person has in common and it will be what unites us.
Like I said. Let it turn to rage, to fire. A single candle is no big deal to put out, but could they stop a wildfire so easily?
You're not going to die under Trump.
There are too many of us being wronged by the same exact systems. And as long as we focus on that and build on that instead of arguing over which system leader the worst, then we'll be fine. The point is they all suck, right? So find common ground there instead of discourse.
Solidarity can look like:
Donating! to bail funds, Palestinian escape gfms, human rights orgs, grassroots activists circles, directly to marginalized people, etc.
Not advocating for the two party system/voting blue
Remembering that equality will not be gained by stepping on someone else- no more compromising the needs of others. If one person says something hurts then their pain can't be part of any solution to someone else's problem.
On that note: listening when PoC and esp Black women tell you when something is racist, harmful, or oppressive. Listen when you are told that the solution you are considering will still leave people marginalized, isn't accessible, and/or isn't inclusive enough.
Solidarity also looks like not taking it personally when you are told that the action/opinion you just voiced was hurtful or ignorant or even bigoted. You DO have misinformed opinions and beliefs and you WILL be checked on those when they occur (just like you check others probably.) No, not everyone will be nice about it and you shouldn't let that discourage you! You should remember that being checked is exactly what everyone is gonna have to get used to. That is what building a better future is gonna look and feel like for everyone at some point. Everyone is ignorant about something. Just learn to say thank you when you're educated for free.
Get used to discomfort!! A little discomfort now is going to be worth the human rights and solidarity and justice we have later. Solidarity is gonna look like Not constantly centering your own comfort or lifestyle or privileges. It's gonna look like reading the room and knowing what a tone deaf comment/request is and when your silence is more appropriate (This is how you will earn trust in community spaces that've become hypervigilant of bad faith allies)
You figure out what your community needs and seek to provide it through either donations, working with local orgs, labor, awareness, (ex: donating/making meals, cleaning, providing clothes or birth control, sharing MutAid requests, boosting activist groups, etc), and showing up to support your community's movements and protests.
Even my tiny rural area has queer meetups, anarchist bookclubs, and a Mexican activist group with a Facebook page; get involved in your community in the ways you can. Learn the names of the people you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder with when Trump supporters start rallying against us all.
The fascist wave can be stopped but none of us will be able to do it alone. You aren't going to die under Trump because none of us are going to let that happen.
The same way you wouldn't let it happen to any of us.
The community that keeps you safe is the one you build.

Thailand’s Cabinet on Tuesday approved an amendment to its civil code to allow same-sex marriage, with an expectation for the draft to be submitted to Parliament next month.
Karom Polpornklang, a deputy government spokesperson, said the amendment to the Civil and Commercial Code will change the words “men and women” and “husband and wife” to “individuals” and “marriage partners” for same-sex couples to be able to receive the same rights that heterosexual couples receive.
He said the law would guarantee the right to form a family in a relationship between same-sex couples, adding that the next step will be an amendment to the pension fund law to recognize same-sex couples as well.
Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin told reporters that the draft law is expected to be proposed to Parliament on Dec. 12. If it becomes law after Parliament’s approval and King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s endorsement, Thailand will be the third place in Asia, after Taiwan and Nepal, to allow same-sex marriage.

✨To my American neighbours below me as I sit in a country well on the same path-
America has seen it all, hasn't it? It's been through struggle, so much fucking struggle and what is birthed from that struggle? A prospering, better nation- as someone who's special interest has been North American history since the age of 5, please take my word for it.
You will prevail through this shitstorm. It might be scary, it might take a revolution and it might be a hard road, but just like all the other storms America's land has had upon it's soil- the good of the people, the kindness and the right thing will prevail.
Here in Canada, we were so angry for so long at your population as we blamed you for allowing such a man to end up in a place we so highly respected. But we educated ourselves, realized how your elections work- realized just like with us at home, it's a dawn of a new, turmoiled age where the very idea of democracy is threatened.
A large amount of us wish you safe haven in our land, just like it had been during the mid 1800's- we've stuck by you in all your wars across seas (despite some being a tad questionable) and we will stick by you in this one at home, whether it be a visible one or a quiet, looming internal one. We welcome you here, and will never stop advocating and speaking up for what your country deserves- ❌America has fought too hard for too long just for all that hard work to be thrown out the door.
✨To the ones who are scared, I need you to listen to this very closely and repeat it constantly when you're afraid of where your government's future lies✨
America has been through political storms, the chaining of basic rights and literal people before + the threat of democracy shattering- and what happened at the end of that all? The good of the people prevailed.
The people of colour who called this country home while building and feeding it's growing nation found themselves allowed to be considered a citizen with rights after so many years of turmoil and abuse, the children who worked like dogs in factories found themselves finally being protected by labour laws, the gender who was constantly looked at as inferior became a part of the workforce and gained the ability to vote, the people who loved who they loved stopped being imprisoned and gained a right to be themselves-
and then apart from all the storms at home, there was the storms overseas, which ended up waking America up as to what "war" truly means: The American People Fought Back; Made Their Voices Heard, Made Their Fellow Countrymen's Sins Open Information For All To View
The People That The American Government Disregarded Prevailed.
And you, in this present moment and all moments hereafter, will prevail too.
I know it must be scary to think of the future, about the shattering of democracy before your very eyes, but you've been through it before- so have we up in the North. And each time it did, our countries both prevailed and laws and acts to make sure it never happened again were put into place- you're country is strong, and those laws and acts will find their way through the channels once again to make America the country it had been flowering to become.
Godspeed, Neighbour💞🍁🇺🇸

If you're in the UK, please sign this petition!
Currently, as a non binary person, I'm not able to get married or a civil partnership as myself and my gender. I'd have to be deliberately misgendered in all the paperwork and in the ceremony - in front of everyone. I'm also unable to get my passport, driving licence, and other official documents to reflect my correct identity. I can't even be officially recognised as trans, even with a gender recognition certificate, because the UK doesn't recognise non binary as a valid identity!
Please Reblog this to get as many signatures as possible! :)
Thanks! :)
Petition: Recognise nonbinary people's genders in law and in identity documents

🌈🎉 Celebrating a Historic Milestone: The Anniversary of Same-Sex Marriage Legalization in the Netherlands! 🎉🌈
Today marks a monumental occasion in the journey towards equality and love — the anniversary of the Netherlands legalizing same-sex marriage! 🇳🇱❤️🏳️‍🌈 Twenty-three years ago, on this very day, the Netherlands made history by becoming the first country in the world to recognize the right of same-sex couples to marry and adopt children. 🎊✨
This groundbreaking decision was not just a legal victory; it was a triumph of love over prejudice, of acceptance over discrimination. It sent a powerful message of inclusivity and respect for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. 🌟
Since that historic day in 2001, countless LGBT couples in the Netherlands and beyond have exchanged vows, celebrated their love, and built families based on equality and mutual respect. The legalization of same-sex marriage has paved the way for progress, inspiring other nations to follow suit and affirm the fundamental rights of LGBT individuals. 🌈💕
As we commemorate this anniversary, let us reflect on the progress we’ve made and recommit ourselves to the ongoing fight for LGBT rights worldwide. Let us celebrate the love that knows no boundaries and the courage of those who have paved the way for a more inclusive and compassionate society. 🌍🌈
To all the trailblazers, activists, and allies who have championed equality and stood up for love in all its forms, we thank you. Your tireless efforts have transformed lives, shattered stereotypes, and brought us closer to a world where everyone can love and be loved without fear or prejudice. 🙌❤️
Happy anniversary, Netherlands! Today, we celebrate not just a law, but a testament to the power of love to change the world. Here’s to many more years of progress, acceptance, and love for all! 🥂🌈

Forced Marriage & Child Brides
Forced marriage is still a very prevalent violation of human rights worldwide, especially for women and girls. 88% of victims were women and girls.
37% of victims were under 18 at the time of the marriage. Of these, 44% were under 15 at the time of the marriage.
Each year, 12 million girls under 18 are getting married off. Most of these scenarios consist of the girl getting married off to a much older - adult - man.
The UN report (linked below) states that globally, in 2021, nearly 1 in 5 women aged 20-24 were married before turning 18.

👰‍♀️Say NO to Child Marriages in America! Implement Standardized Marriage Age Laws
AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS; STATE GOVERNORS & LEGISLATURES
2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the discrepancies and alarming loopholes in marriage age laws across the states and to advocate for action towards implementing a standardized marriage age of 18 nationwide, with strict provisions that prohibit underage marriage below 16 and set an age of consent not below 16. Additionally, I recommend setting a consent age gap provision that is no more permissive than at least 14 years old and up to five years older, further ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth.
It is alarming to note that four states—California, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Oklahoma—currently have no official minimum age for marriage but require parental consent or court approval. This inconsistency in laws creates dangerous loopholes that could be exploited by individuals seeking to harm or exploit minors. Allowing underage marriage below the age of 16 poses serious risks, including increased vulnerability to exploitation and abuse.
I urge you to take immediate steps towards implementing a consistent and protective legal framework by advocating for standardized marriage age laws across the nation.
Thank you for considering this urgent matter. I strongly believe that uniform marriage age laws are essential to safeguarding the rights and safety of young individuals and preventing potential harm.
Together, we can say NO to child marriage and child exploitation!

TN House Passes Bill Letting Clerks Refuse Marriage Licenses to LGBTQ Couples
https://truthout.org/articles/tn-house-passes-bill-letting-clerks-refuse-marriage-licenses-to-lgbtq-couples/
The Republican-controlled Tennessee state House of Representatives voted on Monday to pass a bill that would allow county officials to deny same-sex or interracial couples marriage licenses.
House Bill 878 states that county clerks and their staff “shall not be required to solemnize a marriage if the person has an objection to solemnizing the marriage based on the person’s conscience or religious beliefs.” The bill now heads to the Senate, which will begin consideration of its passage in the chamber next week.
If the bill becomes state law, it would directly challenge federal marriage equality protections, including Supreme Court rulings and the recently-passed Respect for Marriage Act.
The Respect for Marriage Act, which passed in the last congressional session and was signed into law by President Joe Biden, requires states to recognize same-sex marriage licenses from other states but does not require them to issue same-sex marriage licenses themselves — meaning that if federal marriage equality protections are ever undone by the conservative-led Supreme Court, states would be able to deny same-sex couples the right to marry.
Federal marriage equality protections have been in place since 2015, when the Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell v. Hodges that states must grant same-sex couples the right to marry. Decades earlier, in the 1967 case Loving v. Virginia , the Court ruled that states could not ban interracial marriages.

Girls are saved, Girls are educated but where's her dignity!
"Save Girl, Educate Girl" campaign, "Daughter is our proud" slogan, Women's day celebration - But nothing will be changed if girls life is only for the marriage. One in five underage girls and one in six boys are still getting married before the age of 18 (Now the legal age is 21), according to a Lancet Global Health study, despite the fact that the frequency of child marriage in India decreased from 49.4% in 1993 to 22.3% in 2021. More than 13.4 million women between the ages of 20 and 24 were reportedly pushed into marriage as children by 2021, according to research estimates. Lead author Jewel Gausman, a research associate at Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health, stated in the school's news release that "child marriage is a human rights violation." A number of negative health outcomes are both a cause and an effect of social and economic vulnerability. We saw a state or union territory's stall in achieving zero child marriage, which is cause for grave concern and a demand for India to rekindle progress. West Bengal recorded the greatest increase in child weddings in the nation, with over 500,000 girls getting married at an early age, compared to Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, which showed the largest decline in child marriages between 1993 and 2021. In contrast, Manipur, Goa, and Gujarat were unable to stop the rise in underage marriages (among boys) between 2006 and 2021. "The historical implementation of programs to address child marriage has varied across and within states, given that state governments tend to enact social sector policy in India," the researchers stated. In the last eight years, six Indian states reported a higher rate of child marriage in girls than the other 22 states, despite strict laws against this practice. "States that presently have a high burden and prevalence of child marriage, such Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Rajasthan, should receive special attention. They said, "Child marriages have long-term effects on fertility, health, and mortality patterns that negatively impact the population's well-being and the economy." While some research indicates that minimum marriage age laws have a positive impact on lowering the incidence of child marriage in nations that have enacted them, others contend that these laws are difficult to enforce, particularly in remote and difficult-to-reach areas or in situations where other authorities, such as religious institutions, can perform marriages without government oversight, ultimately having little effect. Furthermore, laws prohibiting child marriage might not be properly enforced, which would lessen their impact, they continued.
