"Ehheeee he's squishy!! I could squeeze him til his eyes POP out!" Floyd emphasized his point by giving Azul another, harder squeeze around his midsection, causing Azul to protest, only for Jade to hold his mouth open and examine it. "Do you eat with this mouth or do you have a beak? Floyd turn him upside down!" "WHAT?? N-no, you guys, leave me alone, you're gonna make me ink again!" Azul's protests fell on deaf ears as Floyd, giggling, spun him upside down, readjusting his long barbed tail to wrap around four of Azul's tentacles. Jade following suite on the other side, giggling in delight at Azul's distress. "You're so tiny and squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeshy!!!! Except for this part! We should take it out so you're allll squishy!!" Floyd's clawed finger tapped at his beak, making Azul cry out at the idea. "Leave me alone! You know if I w-wanted I could ma-" "If you W-waNtEd you'd what?" Floyd mocked him as Jade peered curiously down at the other boys beak, before tapping it gently, not unlike his brother. "We'll let you go if you let us watch you eat-" Floyd shot Jade a look that immediately read as that's boooooring, but Jade just rolled his eyes in response "Otherwise Floyd's gonna pry it open anyways." He gave his brother a small smile, and Floyd gave him his happy wiggles in response and started knocking on his beak. Azul had had enough of the ridicule and threats, expanding himself as a storm brewed over the water. 'I'M DONE PLAYING THIS GAME!" He grew multiple times his size, sniffling a bit, before grabbing each of the tweels around their waists, not unlike they had done to him. He had a huge pout on his face, only further emphasized by his chubby cheeks as he started moving the Tweels like dolls, making sure not to prick himself on their spines. He bounced Floyd around mockingly "I have no brains and disappoint my family." Then he bounced Jade in response, "I'm scary and will never have any real friends because I'm a freak!" A tense, shocked silence fell across the three of them, before the Tweels burst into laughter. "We don't need anyone else! We got each other!" "You know, you hold your own better than we expected. Maybe if we do have a friend, it could be you?" Jade gave Azul what was supposed to be a shy smile. It was enough to work on him. Azul relaxed, the storm above dissipating as he came back down into his regular size, letting the twins go and fidgeting with his hands, looking down at them. "You'd wanna be friends after all that?" Floyd squealed with joy, coming behind Azul and poking his cheek. "That was so cool!! You gotta do it again! We can't see that again if we're not friends!!" Jade floated a bit in front of him, nodding slightly. "Friends look out for each other. Do we have a deal?" He held his clawed hand out to Azul expectantly. Azul gently shoved Floyd away from him, hesitantly reaching out to shake Jade's hand. Jade moved forward and took Azul's hand in his, before pulling him closer. "If you break our deal, the option to rip out your beak is very much a viable option still. We know what you can do. You don't know about us." Jade laughed softly before letting Azul go. "Come on, let's find some food. You can even have first dibs." ----------------------------------------------------------- A/N: I had to combine them bc I.....I had no original ideas for them, and don't really want any. I can see them in my head but I don't have the energy for a full blown fic, and this puts me back on schedule as I head into Midterm season

Monster Lover AU Albert!

It all started with those new parishioners. A fishmonger and his two very tall employees. Albert couldn't find it in him to lie: they had an almost otherworldly attractiveness. One especially: a Mr Ashengrotto, he introduced himself as. The priest couldn't help freezing in the gaze of those brinicle blue eyes. Those twins, he learned they were, weren't much better scrutiny to be under. One held a gaze fierce enough to make man or magic flee; the other held all the comfort of a confessional. The town Albert presides as a Warrior Priest over sits brushing the shore. Fishing is of course the leading industry there. But Albert knows the people that go missing on occasion aren't merely lost at sea. Monsters swim through the streets. He's made it his mission to ensure his childhood does not befall anyone else; to ensure monsters cannot tear another family apart. But lately, those new parishioners are making it difficult for Albert to keep his head on straight.

"I must confess, as I have in the booth earlier: they're a difficult presence to ignore. As a priest of Our Lady of Benevolence, I understand that ties and temptations to others only leads to casualty. All the same I admit that in my weakest hours of the night, in my most feverish fits of rapturous peak, I think of them. You can’t convince me that Riddle is not currently pregnant when he marries Floyd. Was he planning on it? Yes only down the line and when his mother was six feet in the ground and after a year for good measure but someone can’t keep his hands to himself (as though he’s innocent in the endeavor either)

Depending on the Au, YES, Riddle gets pregnant before the wedding.

Future 'Canon' of my rewrite, Riddle is strict on his birth control and it takes like nearly 20 years for Floyd to get his 'Oops' baby out of Riddle.

Manhwa Au, Riddle finds out AT THE WEDDING he's pregnant. Trey and Jade kept taking his drinks and not telling him why. Riddle nearly breaks the wedding broom over Floyd's skull.

Monster Au, it took Riddle helping Floyd through two mating seasons to get knocked up. He barely survived either time.

Anyways-I was just looking through a bunch of the twist monster au headcannons/stories, and I thought of a scenario that could be done!

Basically the cast reacting to gender neutral or female reader/yuu acting stuff out in their book they are reading like poses, dialogue, just genuine reactions to the text itself

ex. Throwing the book across the room and them being genuinely concerned that something happened bc reader is just staring off into space or cursing but what actually happened was either a character died/did something embarrassing/the mc and love interest finally kiss

Ah, books. Such a wonderful creation humans made to fill us with raw, pure emotion or shattering our hearts and souls into a million tiny pieces—only for us to read it again and again! Don’t you just love those moments as a reader? UvU

So, what happens if we take a bookreader!Yuu (they/them) and throw them into Twisted Monsterland where even the history books read like a world guide/omnibus to a game or TV series? Oh, and I took a bit of inspiration from a Disney princess comic and a Bill Watterson “Calvin and Hobbes” comic for two of these scenarios. 😂

“Jeez, you sure you’ve got enough books, Yuu?”

“The librarian wouldn’t let me check out more than ten at a time,” Yuu replied, their backpack and arms filled with thick books. “Wish I could’ve gotten ten more at least, but this’ll do for now.”

“Are you sure you can even read all those before next semester?” Deuce asked in concern. “Those look pretty…dense.”

“Oh, I’ll be done in a week. Maybe a week and a half if we get a lot of homework.”

“Funya?! You gotta be kidding me!” Grim said. “Can humans read that fast?”

“Not everyone. Some people are slow readers, but that’s okay since they enjoy it at their own pace while I enjoy it at mine. Only problem for me is choosing which one of these I want to read first!”

/Later that night/

“Yuu? It’s time to eat!” Grim called out. Silence greeted him as he stared at Yuu, who was sitting on the couch with their face practically buried in a book. Frowning, the chimera padded over to the couch and repeated, “Yuu! I’m hungry!”

Still the human didn’t seem to respond, their shoulders hunching as they turned the page.

“Yuu? Yuu!” Huffing, Grim crossed his arms as he glared up at them. “You’ve been reading for the past three hours! How much longer are you gonna read that book?”

“What’s going on, pal?” one of the ghosts asked as the trio appeared.

Gesturing his paws at Yuu, he said, “They’ve been reading ever since we got back from the library today, and now they’re not reactin’ to me. It’s dinner time and they haven’t made any food yet!”

Before anyone could even think of what to say, a loud, shrill squeal filled the dorm.

“Eeeeeee!!!” Yuu squealed, a huge grin on their face as they flopped to the side and kicked their legs like a nervous rabbit while holding the book against their chest. “Omg it happened, it happened!!”

“Mrah!? What?! What happened?!” Grim yelled, wings flared out defensively while his fur bristled. “Why are you yelling!”

“My new OTP!! They finally kissed!!” Yuu said, their eyes wide as they rocked from side to side. “They kissed!! Yes!! Yesyesyesyesyessssss!!!”

“OTP? What’s an OTP??” one of the other ghosts asked.

“It’s what we like to call the ‘one true pairing’ in a story,” Yuu explained, a positively giddy expression on their face with eyes shining brighter than the stars as they struck a dramatic pose. “It’s two characters who vibe with each other on a level that you just can’t help but want them to be together—and the author brought these two together!! Yeeeeeeeee, I’m so happy!!”

“And loud,” Grim grumbled, paws clamped over his ears. “Why are you standing like that?”

“It’s how the main character professed their love for the other!”

“…are all humans as weird as you?”

“Trust me, there are people out there that are way crazier in their excitement than I am right now.”

“Really?!”

“Oh yeah. Don’t even get me started on the fanfics people write.”

“Fan…fics?”

“Oh, you sweet summer child…”

/Two days later/

“Heeeey, lil’ Shrimpy~!”

“Mm…”

“Eh…? Hey, Shrimp…why are you ignorin’ us? It’s not very nice.”

“Now, now, Floyd. One mustn’t interrupt a reader when they’re indulging in such a riveting story.”

“Shh,” Yuu muttered, their brow furrowed as they hunched closer to the book. “I’m at the best part!”

Floyd frowned as he laid his head on his arms, the basilisk slumping against the table. “Man, this is lame,” he said. “You promised to come play basketball with me today!”

“Once I finish this part, we can go do whatever you want, okay, Floyd?”

Jade hummed in amusement as he said, “A rather daring proposition you just offered, Yuu.”

“We have to do a buncha reading for class anyway,” Floyd said with a bored expression. “And Crabby and Mackerel said you finished two other books already, so what’s the point of thi-”

“AAAAIIIIIEEEEE!!?!?” Yuu shrieked, leaping out of their chair as Jade and Floyd recoiled in shock. Before the twins could react, Yuu had ducked back into their chair and pressed the book even closer to their face than before.

“…lemmie see that,” Floyd said, leaning over the table to grab it.

“No, no! It’s fine, go do something else!” Yuu said all too quickly, sinking even lower and turning away from Floyd’s reaching claws. “I think I heard Riddle in the hallway.”

“Lemmie see it!”

“No! You can’t read it!” Yuu cried out, bolting away from the table holding the book tight to their chest.

“Get back here, Shrimpy!”

“Noooo!!”

“Oh my,” Jade uttered, eyes wide for a moment before he chuckled. “Perhaps I should look into this book when they’ve finished it.”

/The next day/

“Oh no…oooh noooooo, I hate this so much!”

“Then why are you reading it?” Jamil asked, the naga curled around them. “If you don’t like it, just take it back to the library.”

“I can’t! It’s soooooo good!” Yuu said, practically throwing themselves backwards onto Jamil’s snake half with the book pressed against their face.

“Eh? But wait, you just said you hated it,” Kalim said in confusion.

“I hate it, but I love it so much,” Yuu told them with a whine, their head now touching the floor on the other side of Jamil’s snake body yet still draped over him like a cat. “This book will ruin your heart and shatter your soul into a million pieces!...you should read it too!”

“Given how dramatic you’re being, it might not be wise,” Jamil said with a sigh.

“Read it!”

“It’s okay, Yuu. We can read together! It’ll be more fun that way!”

“Kalim, no. You still need to study for the next potions exam.”

“Augh, I need someone to talk about this story with so we can lament in solidarity!”

“…have you been taking lessons from Rook lately?”

/Three days later/

“Um…is Yuu okay? They’re looking a little…tense.”

It had been several days since Yuu borrowed a stack of books, and already they had gone through nearly half of their hoard. Between classes and on breaks or after finishing tests, it wasn’t hard for students to notice the lone human with their nose between the pages of one book after the other. Even the researchers had taken note of Yuu’s behavior in between tests, making note of their expressions and how their body changes with each scene depicting their emotions. It was noteworthy how they reacted when a character in the story did something “cringeworthy and stupid” (as Yuu would explain when asked), it looked as though the human had swallowed a lemon.

At the moment they were sitting in Heartslabyul, yet another book in their arms as they sat on one side of the lounge. Cater had taken progression snapshots of Yuu’s body slowly curling into itself, eyes steadily growing wider and wider to the point it looked as though they’d bolt away in panic.

“They’re fine,” Grim told Trey as he munched on a snack. “They’ve been like this since they got all those books. That’s the pose they had last time when their Ohteevee smooched or somethin’.”

“Oh, you mean ‘OTP’, Grimmy,” Cater corrected with a smile. “That’s so cute! Our human has an OTP already~!”

“I’ve heard of hitting the books, but this is ridiculous,” Ace commented with a sigh. “They’ve been reading so long that I forgot what half their face looks li-”

“GRAAAAH!!!!”

SLAM! Fwump!!

“Gyah!?” the boys yelped, everyone staring at Yuu as they sat on the couch with a dark scowl.

“Yo, what the heck? Why’d you throw the book like that?” Ace asked, pointing at the large tome on the other side of the couch now.

“Um…Yuu?” Deuce began when they didn’t respond. “Are…you okay?”

“……I’m mad,” came the response, Yuu’s expression growing more annoyed as they stared off into space.

“About what?” Riddle asked in surprise.

Yuu’s gaze turned to the discarded book, their expression as though they had been betrayed by a trusted friend as they said, “Because my favorite character died, and I refuse to read how the book ends when there’s literally two freaking pages left! That’s not enough space to bring them back in a satisfying way!!”

“Y…you’ve gotta be kidding me,” Ace grumbled with a sigh. “That big of a reaction just because a fictional character was killed off?”

“You weren’t there to see the struggles they went through! I saw them change from an annoying bully into a fully developed and vulnerable character who wanted to take charge of their life—and the author killed them off!” Jumping to their feet, Yuu marched towards Ace and Deuce’s room where they’d left their stuff and said, “Where’s my notebook? I need to fix this!”

“What are you gonna do?” Grim called out.

“Write a fanfic, because my scrunkly deserves to be happy!”

“Huh? Scrunkly??”

/Final day/

“Oh, Great Seven…what happened in your book this time?” Vil asked with a sigh.

Yuu sniffled as they tried to dry their tears, though it was difficult as more continued to flow down their cheeks. “I…I just finished my last book,” they said, their voice cracking a little with emotion as Grim pat their arm reassuringly.

“All ten books in a week?” Vil said in surprise. “That’s…impressive. Even so, why are you so upset? Was the story that horrible?”

“No…it…it…it was too good!” Yuu cried out, clutching the book so tight that their knuckles turned white as the tears flowed freely now.

“Ah…such pure, raw human emotion,” Rook crooned. “To express it so freely without fear…beaute!”

“Was the book really that good?” Epel asked.

“Yes!” Yuu wailed. “Now that it’s over, I…I don’t know what to do with myself now…”

Peering at the title, Vil gave a thoughtful hum and said, “Oh, that story. I hear there is supposed to be a spin-off book series. The first one should have released just the other day.”

“Really?!”

“Mrrr…now you’ve done it,” Grim grumbled with a sigh. “Here we go again.”

In another city, the monster wakes from his own premonition. He doesn’t know her face, but his heart stirs in his chest for the first time in a hundred years. Her soul calls to him, and he’d be a fool to ignore it.

Maddie and ace are absolutely nuts together, they get up to all sorts of shit so beware of them

Malleus and Rochelle bond over their love for gargoyles and architecture they become quite close and Rochelle makes sure to invite Mal everywhere

Sebek and Duchess are a force to be reckoned with when they are together

Pls they will shout the house down and not care

Clawdeen gets put in Pomefiore and she gets so much inspiration from the students and their different styles

Draculara and sliver bond even if they have slightly opposing personalities.

Howleen and epel are force’s to be reckoned with especially with their teenage rebellion phases

Raven and jamil get along quite well and just end up ranting to each other sometimes

Kalim and Blondie are the ultimate party animals especially if briar is there as well

Lilia and faybelle have this sort of familial connection due to her being able to sense extremely strong fae

He takes her under his wing (her and sebek argue a hell of a lot but it’s okay)

Cupid is sort of a mix of happy and scared, her friends from both schools are seeing both her sides

She and cater start up a podcast thing (pretty much like the one in why do ghouls fall in love)

Cupid and rook are an especially odd pair, he flirts and she does not like how cheap he sounds

She actually starts hanging around a lot more with cerise and lizzie

What the AYuus would wear for during the spooky Halloween Event.

(Note: Not including the Yuus who are characters from another show being thrown into Twisted Wonderland)

Autobot!Yuu/Electro Swing - probably a demonic car. First Year Squad would definitely draw a pumpkin on their front hood. They can't walk around, so instead just drives around the road.

Lore: It is said that NRC once allowed vehicles within the school grounds, but after a particularly nasty incident it was banned. The spirit of the student dying in that car crash possessed their vehicle, and though the Headmaster had thrown the car away it's spirit lives on. Now, the demonic car roams the school grounds on Halloween night, chasing whoever stayed behind late. Those who got caught will become it's passengers and be brought to the Underworld.

Floyd: Hey, isebi-chan, why don't you just ram them? I mean, it's not like anyone can sue a demon car, right?

ES: Floyd, that's illegal.

Floyd: Not if no one says anything, hehe~

Cat!Yuu/Blacky - The same as Grim's, a witch. They mostly photo bombs the Halloween pictures, Cater and Vil's followers made a game of trying to spot the cat wearing a witch's hat.

Lore: Black cats are a symbol of both luck and misfortune. If you are a good person, the cat will reward you, if you're not, well... Let's just say you're not in for a good time. Rumours said that if you distress the students and faculty of the school, the black cat will come cross your path, putting you under misfortune's care and making your visit a living hell. If you're still alive in the end, that is.

Jack: How did the cat knows what to do? You sure that's a normal cat?

Ace: We all just accept everything Blacky does at this point. Now help me tear open these pillows, we're running out of feathers to throw at those monsters.

Cookie!Yuu/Dream Ink Cookie - Trey makes their costume using icing. They decided to be a grim reaper.

Lore: The school kitchen has its fair share of incidents, but a long time ago before the school was built it was once a burial ground for soldiers in war. Not having a proper burial, their souls screamed each Halloween, begging to be discharged of their eternal fate. They will do anything to be freed of their torment, and they are more than happy to make you join them. If you visit the kitchen during Halloween, there are high chances you will be attacked by sharp utensils and kitchen appliances.

Jamil: You guys really hate those Magicam Monsters, huh?

Dream Ink Cookie: They tried to eat us Jamil. We deserve attempted murder at this point.

Jamil: Okay, you may continue. Don't make a corpse, we don't want a lawsuit.

Dream Ink Cookie: Can we maim them?

Jamil: Some scrathes, yes. Permanent injuries, no.

Splashmon!Yuu/Splashmon - An exorcist (disguise form) and Jangsanbeom (true form).

They can just scare people in their true form, but decided to go full theater kid on those Magicam Monsters because they want to have fun.

Lore: Come one, come all. Listen to my story dear guests. There was once a mountain full of tigers, kings of the forest and keeper of balance. When humans came they hunted the tigers, at first for protection, then for glory, and finally for sports. When the tiger's in the mountains went extinct, their restless spirit sought revenge. They imitate voices of loved ones, making them follow them before devouring them whole. Some says they will take on the appearance of an exorcist or a storyteller. Hm? Who's that?

Sebek, from outside Ramshackle: GET OUT! YOU'RE IN DANGER!! THERE'S A TIGER MONSTER THAT EATS PEOPLE IN THERE!!!

this one is very long cause they each have 2 forms and also I love water creatures and this group is my favorite so I'm rambling alot.

First is Azul. The poor fake confident swindler. With how many limbs he had in his mer form he gained an extra 2 arms in his regular form. Also merfolk keep a majority of their mer attributes, just get legs when allowed on land. If a mer had a tail they get webbed feet and fins along the sides of their legs. So they can still swim amazingly.

Description: azul looks mostly like his normal self because he wears so many layers and covers so much skin. But of course the few parts left out are very different. His skin is a lilac purple with some black markings similar to his octo form. Under his gloves are small suction cups that add to his grip strength. He can also technically taste through these as well. He invested in many types of gloves so he wouldn’t be too distracted. His skin feels a bit slimy but super smooth. His face stays the same as his octo form. The biggest change other than looking mostly like his octo form is the extra set of arms, just below his normal arms is a second set of arms that are far more flexible than possible. Able to bend them backwards and use them backwards easily. Able to do twice as much as the average person, he excelled in a lot, and his second arms are far stronger than his normal ones too.

in his overblot form, he still reverts back to his cecilian self, but he still has his extra set of arms. Making have an extra set of limbs he other wise wouldn’t. Using them to wrap around himself and lash out when the others got too close to him. They disappeared once his overblot was done.

Fun fact: azul is IMPOSIBLY flexible in the monster AU he doesn’t really have bones in his human form, more just cartilage. So he can so insane poses that would have most gymnasts jealous.

and of course, there's Floyd and jade. since they are twins I'm just going got describe them at the same time. Also all mer folk have specially tailored clothes due to them having extra or odd additional appendages in their land forms.

Description: jad and floyd look a lot like their eel forms just with legs. Most of them is covered with the suit of octavinelle but they’re what little skin you can see is a teal color. They have claws at the tips of their fingers and webbing between their fingers as well. Their skin is slimy and strong. Their ear fins adorn their heads and if they open their mouths you can see a second set of jaws at the back of their mouth, highlighting the opening to their throat. This pharyngeal jaw can launch forward into their mouth to grab food and drag it into their throat like a normal eel. One heck of a scary party trick though. The twins also have spiked fins on their forearms, having to have that tailored to their suits. They also have a small fin like line along the sides of their legs.

fun fact for floyd: ha used his pharyngeal jaw to snatch people’s food before and they are usually too freaked out by his second set of teeth’s reach to do much. Also has bitten many people with both sets of teeth.

fun fact for jade: likes earmuffs when hiking since his ear fins are rather sensitive to the wind and weather as he goes.

And the electrified pool incident continues (ik electric eels are of fresh water and not the ocean, but I already drew it. So. I have no canonical explanation for that I did it for the joke)

Taking a second look I'm starting to think their outfits are too simple, but first and foremost I wanted to do something fun for the looks of their primary features. I took inspiration from Luca (probably one of my favorite movies ever so I couldn't help but reference it here too lol) for the eye catching merform designs! Considering they're canonically sea monsters anyway, I didn't want to just insert their og designs here, so in this au they're more like in between their og merforms and human forms, also with their color pallettes are more similar to what flotsam and jetsam looked like in the little mermaid movie imo I wanted them to essentially wear the same thing despite the contrasting personalities, and technically most of the time they're walking around the school they're simultaneously working for Azul, looking for students to make deals with happens in this universe too (fortunately for them and unfortunatelyfor others), so an outfit more inclined to formal would be ideal to cause a good impression on their business, or as good as they can make it anyway. Nobody can contain Floyd though, if he has to wear an uniform he is going to stylize it.

Keeping it short this time, I don't wanna keep it on my drafts to add more notes later and postpone this more than I already have 💀 if I remember more facts about the AU twins I'll share them later!

has no arms but only 8 tentacles

speaks in whispers and loud echoing sobs

his tantrums are loud but his whispers are quiet

his main quest is to have Jade and Floyd together with him forever which is why he killed Floyd and keeps him gabbed with his tentacle

He uses Floyd’s corpse to lure Jade

Riddle is more passive than Azul since he is only there to remind Trey

Riddle just stands there watching but he’s not peeking. Sometimes he startles Trey when he appears though

Riddle has no mouth but can speak in Trey’s mind which haunts him a lot lmao

Azul is more violent as he throws tantrums which makes him flail his tentacles and cause damage

Azul is only focused on getting Jade but has no problem killing others if they get in the way

Actual Azul’s body is inside of that monster but he’s far too gone

TWST Monster AU Ideas (NSFW)

IDK if I'm gonna do an AU where NRC is just filled with non-humans and MC is the only human or have a completely different setting where it's basically fantasy village filled with the TWST boys but monsters. For beastmen basically just give them animal heads and like... Fantasy beastfolk. Same with mers they're basically the same but more monster features.

Either way I want thoughts on what monsters each guy would be

Ace - Satyr (maybe make shortstack for size diff)

Can you give us some Human Lore related to the Great Seven? As you mentioned how the Queen of Hearts is very strict about Humans being protected, even making a bunch of rules to protect them (So no doubt if Reader gets bullied while Riddles’ around he’ll instantly collar the perpetrators)

I’m curious as to see if there are any myths about how the other Great Seven treat or view Humans

This AU has me in a chokehold and I can’t wait for more parts! I love every part and your art of the characters is amazing!

I kinda wrote a little idea for the Righteous Judge and how he felt about Humans (You can ignore or change it if you want! Since this IS your AU)

The Righteous Judge was known for being fair towards Humans as he believed they should be treated equally, as he’d saw how Humans could not only adapt, but even help Monsters settle their differences, and they could do it all without magic

As such he made laws to protect Humans as he thought highly of Humanity being the key to improve civilization, as while they didn’t have any magic, their bonds with each other and other Monsters helped accomplish any task or threat thrown at them

He believed Humans were pure because they weren’t born with the savage instinct like many Monsters have, as he saw Humans more likely to show compassion, mercy, kindness and empathy, unlike Monsters who are more prone to use violence, aggression and pure power to get what they want

Legend has it the Righteous Judge wept in sorrow when Humanity went Extinct, as he believed Humanity could’ve helped Monsters learn how to better themselves

It’s also believed that the Righteous Judge’s son was a Human, which could explain why he was so devoted to defend and help Humans

Maybe because of this Fleur City is known for their rituals, celebrations and festivals to honor the legacy Humans left behind, to honor how the Righteous Judge strived so hard to help Humans

Sorry, my brain went ham as I’m prone to overthinking because of my Autism (I love your Autistic Works as they’re incredibly relatable, like with Floyd and his squeezes since I love extra tight hugs)

Absolutely agree for the Righteous Judge and this would no doubt translate to Rollo's own infatuation and obsession with this little Human. I would bet that if Human MC from the AU visited Fleur city during the Topsy Turvey Day, they would be automatically crowned and honored in the festival as even the Righteous Judge loved the Humans he wept so heavily for.

The Queen of Hearts was known for her love of Humans and had several Human pets that she cherished deeply. She was known to only pardon her Humans from being beheaded as they were such an endearing little species and she couldn't stay angry with her Humans for long. There are no less than 50 rules regarding the proper treatment of humans as The Queen wanted to ensure her beloved pets were kept safe no matter what. All Humans were declared as a protected species in the Queendom of Roses, and harming or abusing one was punishable by death. These laws are still in place despite Humans being extinct for centuries just in the event that a Human could possibly still be alive somewhere.

The King of Beasts doesn't have any mention of humans in any of his stories, hence why many beast men were content to treat Humans as cattle and regarded humans as a delicacy to feast upon. Over the years as Humans became more and more endangered, the Black market for Humans became more than a little cut-throat. Humans were food for so long, that when they were declared extinct, literal riots broke out and what small remaining meat sold for millions. Knock off meat was popular for a while, and Sunset Savana (and various other locations with high beastman populations) admitted to being somewhat at fault for the rapid extinction of Humans. Now there is a global ban on the buying, selling, or trading of Human artifacts/remains.

The Sea Witch's story is deeply intertwined with the presence of Humans, as it was a Human the princess wished to see and marry, leading to her making a deal with the Sea Witch. Many merfolk regard Humans as the peak standard of beauty as a result of this story and see Sirens as merfolk who have been blessed with Human blood. Since sirens look very close to Humans- minus their ever present gills and abnormal aquatic forms- sirens are believed to be the step between merfolk and Humans. Many Human-like monsters are treated with the same kind of awe by merfolk for being so close to a Human in form.

The Sorcerer of the Sands had many tricks and was very knowledgeable, so of course he knew about humans in great detail. Some stories even claim that the Sorcerer sought the council of Humans for their unusual ability to resolve conflict in warring species. Despite their lack of Magic, humans were admirable enough to be in the council of the Sorcerer and were considered to be quite wise for their continued persistence among stronger species.

The Fairest Queen- the most beautiful of all and a wickedly powerful Harpy in her own right- liked the featherless bipeds known as Humans. Though they were clumsy and sometimes pig-faced, she viewed their ambition and tenacity in high regard. Such creatures that held on so tightly to their place in the world despite the other species beating them back certainly earned the respect of the Fairest Queen.

The Thorn Fairy was known for her many boons granted to Human kind. As Humans did not posses magic, they needed all the aid they could get and the Thorn Fairy was all too eager to aid. It is said that any Human the Thorn Fairy blessed became a member of her court, if not in title than in spirit, as the Thorn fairy adored the ignoble little species despite their fragility and flaws. Though she is the spirit of nobility and power, the Thorn Fairy herself smiled kindly upon her little Humans and offered aid to them when she could.

The TWST cast from the original Fyuuture Kid timeline is so Cleopatra by Lumineers coded. They just get their (pregnant) joyfriend ripped away from them, cursed, and then sent back to earth, where they can't follow all in one day. That's gotta be a fucking nightmare. They just lose everything at the same time. Bro. Imagine Jamil or Azul, they had to fight for everything and just when they finally, FINALLY, think they have something that will never leave, it's taken away. Imagine malleus or cater or silver; they've already lost so much, silver just lost his dad and now, when he's going to make his own family, they're taken from him too.

You wrote one time that of Yuu ever died, Floyd would be quick to follow, so. Did Jade and Azul have to put him on suicide watch? My mind is reeling there were NO WINNERS in this timeline Goddamn.

So there weren't any winners in the original timeline no, but the way things went down sort of prevented the type of outcome you are describing with Floyd due to the potential for hope, that most dangerous of falsehoods. In a way that sort of makes it worse though... so lets talk about what went down shall we?

(I'm going to keep this post to more general information, but I did write some specific ship thoughts I'll probably use for another post later on, I just need to think on some of them more...)

This post will not contain discussions of suicidal ideation, but will contain major character death and descriptions of violence. General Original Timeline Facts

To give a brief re-cap of what happens to Yuu, they were arrested by the Magical Marshall's office and sent back to their world, while pregnant, and cursed to forget everything that had happened to them in Twisted Wonderland. Something I didn't mention in that first post, mostly because I intended to imply it in the answer about Riddle's relationship with Yutu but ended up cutting, is that none of the characters actually know that this is what happened at first. They know that Yuu disappeared, but they don't know that the Marshalls were involved or that Yuu went back to their world, which causes a real sense of panic in all of them because holy shit their spouse and unborn child just went missing and they can't seem to get anyone to take this seriously. How the Marshalls went about hiding this information, and what the general public believed happened to Yuu depends on who their husband was, as did the fallout of their disappearance.

For anyone who might be a bit confused, the Magical Marshall's Office is an elite squad of police officers who investigate magical crime, and occasionally deal with overblots. They are the organization that Deuce wants to join one day, which does mean that the people who made the decision to see Yuu as a threat to public safety and send Yuu home were Deuce's own co-workers and friends.

Deuce is the first to suspect that the Marshall's might have had something to do with Yuu's disappearance, but he isn't able to really do much with that. He tries, but he is stonewalled and eventually fired- though by the time that happened monster attacks started getting really bad in the Queendom and Deuce had a whole other set of questions.

Speaking of those monster attacks, the instant Yuu is removed from Twisted Wonderland Grim overblots I have an idea as to why, but it isn't super set in stone. This "Chimera" begins hunting and stirring up monsters, inciting them to attack civilization while it focuses on trying to "wake up" the Phantoms of the Great 7. These phantoms want to re-join with their respective overblot boy, which is an easier task for some of them than others.

The first phantom to re-appear was the Thorn Fairy's. Malleus chose to seal himself and his phantom in an eternal sleep inside the Briar Valley capital after ordering Sebek and Silver to evacuate everyone who lived there, leaving his people truly leaderless and in shambles. He technically also ordered Lilia to go with them, but he refused. He wasn't able to abandon another Draconia to die alone. A lot of nocturnal fae died to the Phantom before Malleus's sacrifice, but because the problem was more or less contained to Briar Valley not all of the other nations saw the monster problem as a threat. They should have.

The second phantom to re-appear was The Queen of Hearts'. Riddle, having been approached by Deuce with his suspicions regarding Yuu's disappearance and outraged by what he saw as a clear violation of the law (if nothing else) was easy prey and re-assimilated into the monster. The phantom then began hunting down each of Riddle's previous dorm mates to corrupt them into card soldiers for its army, eventually fashioning four lieutenants that were a touch more sentient that the others out of Trey, Cater, Deuce, and Ace.

Certain members of the Al-Asim family saw that happen and quietly, without Kalim's knowledge, arrange to have Jamil killed. This doesn't prevent the Sorcerer of the Sands' phantom from reuniting with him, it just means the monster is puppeteering a corpse. And dragging around a second once it gets its hands on Kalim...

Obviously at this point something of a pattern has been established, meaning S.T.Y.X. is expected to do something. Idia does not actually overblot for a second time thank you very much, Phantom Ortho has a mind of his own and he promised to stay in the Underworld until it was Idy's time. His first order of business is to check in on Vil, Azul, and Leona to make sure they're ok. He manages to make contact with Vil, but the Coral Sea proves impossible to get a message through to and Leona is M.I.A. Literally, he and Ruggie have both disappeared while investigating monster attacks around the slums. Idia has a decision to make, and it's not one he really likes, but S.T.Y.X. has a better relationship with the Sunset Savannah than it does the Coral Sea, so it's off to the Elephant Graveyard while Vil agrees to stay behind on the Isle of Woe under observation for his own safety.

It's a decision Idia regrets later. He gets to Leona in time to help him fight and kill the King of Beasts's phantom, but it costs Leona and Ruggie their lives, and while he's there, the Sea Witch's phantom finds Azul and begins using his magic to drain the merfolk dry. Floyd manages to use his unique magic to distract Azul long enough to allow Jade to escape, who only flees because he thought his brother was behind him the whole time. The oceans become polluted with blot, forcing the surviving merfolk to the surface. Many go to NRC and take refuge in the Octavinelle dorm pocket dimension, resulting in the Mostro Lounge being closed to make more room. Somehow that feels more like a killing blow to Azul for Jade than what the phantom did.

Schools like NRC, RSA, and Nobel Bell become sort of centers for survivors due to the large amounts of mages, magical wards, and artifacts that such schools typically have made them safer than most towns. NRC specifically has seen a large influx of magicless people who run a lot of the things the ghosts used to and runs a lot of normal school classes in additional to the magic program, which shifts over time to be more focused on fighting due to the increased monster attacks.

Also Crewel is now Headmage. It would have been Trein but I don't think he needs the stress. I haven't decided if he is still alive or not, but Vargas and Sam are still kicking.

So to give a run down of where everyone stands in the original timeline in order: Malleus and his phantom are trapped in an eternal sleep, Lilia is dead, Silver and Sebek are alive (at least at first) and trying to help the fae refuges displaced by the Thorn Fairy's Phantom. All of Heartslabyul are overblot phantoms, and actively making the Queendom of Roses unlivable. Jamil was assassinated and the Sorcerer of the Sands's phantom went on to kill Kalim and most of his family. To be clear that wasn't because of Jamil's lingering emotions, but good luck explaining that to most people. Vil and Idia are overblot free, Vil because he is being detained on the Isle of Woe and Idia because of his promise with Phantom Ortho. Leona and Ruggie died fighting the King of Beast's phantom. Azul and Floyd are blot phantoms, while Jade is alive and tending bar at what remains of the lounge at NRC.

Now Epel, Rook, and Jack aren't named in that list. No one really knows what happened to them, but they are assumed dead (or at least Jack and Epel are.) Since this is my AU and I get to give out the information, I'll let you know that Rook is a phantom under control of the Fairest Queen's phantom, Jack is dead, and Epel is alive, but cut off from the rest of Twisted Wonderland by the monsters under the Fairest Queen's control. He's right teed off about that, hey Yutu go get him that ladder he's gonna give Rook a piece of his mind-

Yutu and his friends had to fight the Heartslabyul boys multiple times. Yes this hurt their Yutus a lot, and is one of the main reasons Riddle! Yutu hates his dad so much.

Vil can hear the Fairest Queen talking to him and it's not great for his mental stability. Neither is being cooped up in the Isle of Woe, his Yutu did meet him and remembers it being a terrifying experience.

Jade has a good relationship with Floyd! Yutu, Jade and Floyd are their own people but losing Floyd killed a part of him that was slightly healed by getting his nephew back. He likes to tease Azul! Yutu and told him a great deal about his dad. As for his own Yutu... their relationship is a tad strained by how protective Jade is over his son. He is terrified of losing him and what is left of his pearl...

Not all Yutus are in the same dorm as their father. I haven't decided on where all of them are yet, but I did mention once in my replies that Azul! Yutu is in Savanaclaw. I did not mention that he did intend to transfer but couldn't when he accidentally became the Dorm Leader because he got tired of being mouthed off to and knocked someone out. I have an ask about Cater! Yutu I'm working on but I'll add him here as having been put into Octavinelle, and I think I want to put Kalim! Yutu into Pomefiore but I need to cook more...
