oh nothing, just jegulus ‘accidentally’ swapping ties and watching sirius go absolutely mental trying to figure out how james ended up with a slytherin tie.
(he would have so many outlandish theories)

Today's @wolfstarmicrofic prompt is lovesick!
(331 words.)
Euphemia knows her boys.
James has always been easy to read. The boy takes after his father, with the way he can't hide the emotions on his face. Not only that, but he's not one for secrets. He'll talk to Effie about anything, and she's pretty sure she knows him better than she knows herself.
Sirius is a little more difficult, but she thinks she's getting there. He spent years of his life forced to conceal every real aspect of himself, so he reveals his emotions through miniscule glances, a hand twitch, pressing his lips into a thin line.
She's beginning to learn his language, doing little things to make sure he knows how welcome he is in the house. She'll ask him to clear the table, or help her in the garden, his face brightening ever so slightly every time. Everyone watches him relax into their family and slowly begin to open up. He won't become an open book overnight, but she thinks she's getting pretty good at reading him.
It's the four of them over the summer that prove her right.
Remus and Peter are over for the week, sitting out in the garden on the second day. Effie's washing dishes the muggle way, unwinding, watching the four from the window. The sky's darkening as James and Peter get up and walk away, leaving Remus and Sirius alone.
Remus says something, and, well, the boy is funny, but not funny enough to warrant the laughter that overcomes her son. His whole face turns red, a grin on his face. It throws her for a moment, until Remus rolls his eyes and gives Sirius a playful shove. Sirius turns back to face him with a look that Euphemia can place with ease. It's the look on James' face every time he mentions Lily, on her own the day Fleamont proposed to her. One that Effie can only describe as lovesick.
Oh.
Sirius is in love. That much she's sure of.

nobody but you
Tumblr media
in which, you and neteyam have been best friends since forever, and he always saw you as one of the guys rather than a girl, until it finally makes you snap
childhood.
you and neteyam have been friends ever since childhood, where you were sitting on the tree swing at grace’s school, and one of the boys, Za’ko had pushed you off
when neteyam stepped in and fought with him, just to defend you, as soon as he was done with him, he had helped you up and put you on the swing again, telling you that if you stop crying he’ll take you to see the pretty stars
ever since then, you two were inseparable. you had basically grown up with him, he was your very best friend. sooner or later, you two had reached that age…and you started liking him
more than a friend.
but neteyam had grown up with you, probably seeing you as nothing more than just a mere childhood friend, he saw you as more of a brother than a sister even.
it made a bit of sense since you didn’t really do what most girls did, dress up in pretty tops do your hair and such, not because you hated them or thought it was weird, you just never really had interest in them
but it was so much that you never clicked with the girls, leaving you nobody but neteyam and his guy friends, who saw you in a way you hated.
you finally snapped when you saw him talking to a girl by the forest, you stormed off, ignoring him for the whole day, not even daring to come out of your home, he didn’t know why, maybe just not feeling well?
but he was wrong, because the very next day, he stood with his friends, and heard a whistle from one of them, as he looked to see you there walking to them, his eyes widened
you looked so different?
your hair was down…it was never down, and it’s been braided so nicely, you had a brand new top, one that accentuated your figure so well…a little too well actually, you were walking so slowly, as if trying to look more soft and delicate
and then it just got worse
“hi guys…” you said in such a soft feminine tone, you have never sounded like that. ever.
hi guys? what the hell is hi guys? why are you so quiet? why are you trying to look prettier than you already were? why were you acting so weird?
neteyam hadn’t said a single word, but his friends sure did
“we’re just on our way to school, come on let me walk you” one of them said as he walked with you, away from everyone else, his hand hand on your waist while the others who were still standing there were smirking and talking about you good you looked
as the days passed on, you just got weirder, everyday the guys would take turns walking you to school, some even arguing over it, when you say with neteyam, you’d be so quiet and do things like giggle at anything he says
did you really just giggle…
he hated every minute of it, he hated how all the boys were noticing you, talking to you, what in eywa was going on!
he had to deal with it for a while, until one day he finally lost it, as he was on his way to your home, and saw none other than za’ko walking out.
what was he doing in your home?
neteyam walked in, clearly angry as he stared at you, you smiled at him softly, and he quickly grabbed you, taking you away, into the forest, as he finally let go of you, he just paced around you, furious
“is…something wrong?” you asked in that weird soft voice and neteyam stopped and looked at you
“is something wrong? is something wrong?! really! everything is wrong!” he yells, shaking his head and pacing around for a bit before speaking up again, “come on what are you doing! seriously! what is all this?!”
“what is all what—“
“do not play dumb with me. you know what i’m talking about. what’s with this whole thing! you’re so girly now—and dressing up in…really—weird ways! and every guy is always talking to you! and you act so freaky! your whole life you talked like a person suddenly you talk like you’re some sort of toy or something! and you giggle—oh my eywa the giggles! you never giggle! i didn’t even know what giggle even meant until you started doing it! what is going on!” he yells, pacing around, he was so confused
your soft act quickly drops at his words, “are you—kidding me!” you yell as you glare at him
“what! what! what is it!”
“all these years—all these stupid years! all you see me is as one of the guys! oh here she comes she’s gonna want to hunt and do things guys do with us for sure! oh here she comes she’s like a brother to me! and now—the moment a guy starts giving me the smallest amount of attention you say i act freaky?”
“yes!” he yells and walks towards you, his face inches away from yours, “i do not like it. not in the slightest. i do not like when others talk to what’s mine.” he says in a low low voice, your eyes widen
“wh-what?” you say and he tilts his head
“i think you heard me just right. so i suggest you drop the act, cause i really don’t have the time to fight every man in this village, but i will if i have to.” he says and looks at you, “for you.”
“neteyam…” you say and shake your head, pushing him away as your eyes tear up, “no! no—you cannot act like this with me! you cannot—flirt with other girls then say you like me!”
“i do not flirt with anyone! i have never flirted with anyone because i have you! all those times you see me with girls—it was never me who got to them! and i always brush them off!” he says and sighs
“why can’t you see? why can’t you see that i see you! i always have! there was nobody but you, it’s always been you…without this whole…act.” he says and you look at him, your eyes lighting up
“this whole act has been for you nete…”
“yeah well you can drop it now” he says and caresses the side of your cheek, soon, you two inch closer as your lips finally meet, melting in each others arms, once you finally let go, he looks at you for a second, “now if i see you talking to any of those boys again…it won’t be pretty”
you laugh as you shake your head, “don’t worry i won’t”
a/n: hi guys this is my first write!! i’m sorry it lowkey sucks but i rlly hope you like it!! requests are open!

Can I request something with remus for kinktober? Maybe you're a slytherin and you don't like each other. The kink being hatefucking
if someone asked you who's the worst person in all of hogwarts you'd be able to answer automatically, remus lupin, the bane of your existence. that gryffindor prefect who you always get paired up with on night duties as you're a prefect too.
"just piss of lupin," you hiss at him for the millionth time. even his breathing annoys you.
"oh don't get your knickers in a twist princess," he replies fed up with you.
"don't call me that." you hate when he calls you that, all because you're a slytherin pureblood.
next thing you know he's grabbing your tie pulling you towards him and kissing you, "shut the fuck up, god you're so fucking annoying." he mumbles angrily against your lips.
you want to stop and want to hate his lips against you, you hate him but you can't say the same about the way his lips are pressed against. you kiss him back with just the same passion as he's kissing you, his lips are slightly chapped and you can smell his sandalwood shampoo, making you heady. you bite his lip, making him groan and push you against the wall.
he tilts your head with his fingertips under your chin to look at him as you see pupils filled with lust. "i'm going to fuck you. hard. and you're going to take it," he says harshly and with his hands still on your chin he moves your head up and down.
"there's no way in salazar that is ever going to happen." you reply defiantly, not wanting to give in to him, not wanting him to get his own way.
remus chuckled darkly and looked down at you with dark eyes, almost like you were prey. "no? are you sure about that." you don't answer, you really do hate him. you pull his hair and pull him down as stand on your tippy toes meeting him half way and smashing your lips together again, giving him the answer he needs. he smirks, grabs hold of your hand and pulls you into an empty classroom.
one second you've walked into the room, the next he's lifting you onto a desk, surprising you with his strength. he doesn't talk and keeps silent as he shoves down his trousers just enough to be able to pull his dick out. you look at him in a daze, thinking that you've never been with someone as big as remus before and you're finding it hard not to stare. when remus notices it makes him cocky but his irritation for you and need to dominate you overshadows it.
"what are you waiting for?" he spits out venomously. you rush to take of your underwear, just wanting him in you. as he looks down at you, he grabs your throat, not choking you just putting his hand around your neck. "i'm doing to fuck you so hard you won't even be able to talk."
"that's a lot of talk lupin." you snap back at him.
he grins darkly and it makes you shiver, "oh princess, it's not talk." he thrusts into you, pushing into you without stopping before pulling out and setting a brutal pace, hard and fast. you wince at the sudden pain and remus groans at how good you feel wrapped around his cock. the pain quickly subsides to pleasure and you start moaning loudly.
"tsk princess, don't be so loud. do you want the whole castle to hear you?" he says condescendingly. you moan louder. "fuck, you're such a slut." he forces two fingers down your throat he's about to tell you to suck them before you do it yourself, moaning and sucking around his fingers causing him to get closer to his finish. you grab hold of his arm, trying to stabilise yourself, remus is thrusting into you so hard the table is shaking and you're nearly falling off.
you're crying constantly, the pleasure overwhelming. "lupin. pl- plea- pl," you're trying to get the words out but you can't through his fingers down your throat.
"pl.. plea.. pl, what? what slut?" he mocks you. the next thing either of you know is that you're pushing your body against his, arching your back and cumming hard. remus groans and leans down in the crook of your neck before your own orgasm triggers his. he pulls out and flops down on the table next to you, placing his arm on his forehead, "i hate you," he says breathing deeply.
"likewise," you say controlling your breathing and wiping the tears from your face.

Elise’s fever hadn’t broke, it only intensified over the course of a few days, she skipped most of her classes and opted to stay in bed. Every so often Hitch would come by to check on her, but otherwise she was by herself.
Her consciousness faded in and out as she kept falling asleep, but it didn’t feel like sleep. It was filled with visions and memories of strange world; she felt as though she was imagining it, the voices, the people, all of them so familiar, yet so far at the same time.
Her consciousness was groggy by the time Elise managed to fall asleep again, a shallow, empty kind of sleep but sleep nonetheless. Her head pounded as she fluttered in and out before it faded into a dream.
She opened her eyes to find herself awakened in a modern, but older looking city. She was in a crowd of people, standing in the middle of the road.
“What is that?!” Someone shouted, “Is that a horse?”
A brunette girl spun around, her eyes going even wider. “No, that’s a cow. That has to be!”
A taller person with rectangular glasses shook their head, “I’ve heard about these, it’s a car.” They raised their hand and started waving, “Hey car!”
The Captain, one of the only strangers she recognized, rolled his eyes at their reaction, “if we don't stop them they’ll try to make that lump of iron eat a carrot.”
Jean covered his face in embarrassment, “They’re standing out too much, let’s pretend we don’t know them.”
Elise laughed and lightly smacked his arm. “Let them have their fun, this is new to all of us. Although one of the girls trying to feed the car a carrot would make for good teasing material.”
~~~~
Elise was unsure the time when she woke again, feeling as though she’d been out for a lifetime. Throughout her sleep, she gained flashes of scenes that felt so real, so lifelike. She glanced at the clock, it read 5:14, the library was still open, she would have enough time to catch up on her homework in time for class in the morning.
She stumbled her way there with her backpack full. At the sound of the bell, the librarian poked their head out from behind a bookshelf, wild eyes behind big glasses.
They smiled widely, as they greeted Elise. “I’m Hange! If you need help finding anything, just ask.”
Elise nodded, wincing as pain shot through her head. She found an empty table in a deserted spot in the library and tossed her stuff down and pulled out her books, attempting to go over notes. She managed to get through a few pages, struggling as the lines blurred together. She paused, rubbing her eyes with a yawn.
“Tired?”
Elise glanced up, finding Hange standing in front of her with a small smile. “Yeah, rough night.” Elise noticed Hange had their left eye covered.
“I see.” They gestured to the chair, “Mind if I sit?”
“Sure,” Elise shrugged.
Hange glanced at her notes that were still strewn across the table. “The renaissance era, huh?”
Elise groaned. “Yes, it’s horribly boring. But it’s my teacher’s favorite unit so we’re gonna be on it for a while.”
“Does your teacher happen to be Mr. Smith?” Hange said with a knowing look on their face.
“Yeah, he’s a good teacher but history isn’t my cup of tea.”
“Hm, I don’t blame you. I’m more of a science person myself.” Hange paused thinking. “In fact, I’d much rather be in a lab right now, but…life had other plans.” They gestured to their eye. “A few years ago there was a little explosion-well a big enough one to take out my eye.” They laughed quietly, “So now I’m stuck in the library. But that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped learning and researching.”
“That’s…that’s actually a really positive way to look at it.” Elise said quietly.
Hange shrugged, “There’s always a silver lining, this life is good and I’m grateful for a lot of things” They trailed off, stuck in their own mind. They waved away the tension. “Anyway, tell me more about you.”
The pair talked for a while, mainly about random things. What Elise is majoring in, things like that. The conversation was nice, almost natural.
Eventually Hange glanced at their watch, “Oh shoot, sorry to cut the conversation short, but I should’ve closed about twenty minutes ago.” They stood and pushed in their chair. “Come back and chat anytime, company is always welcome.”
Elise agreed with a smile, being around Hange was comforting. Their company was calm despite being so energetic.
The walk back to her dorm was quiet, Elise was stuck in her thoughts. So much that she didn’t notice Eren walking past her.
“Hey, didn’t expect to see you here.” Eren gave her a small smile.
“I could say the same about you,” she raised her eyebrow. “Do you make a habit of creepily walking around at dusk with all black on?”
Eren laughed. “Only on tuesdays.”
Elise shook her head with a smile. “I’m headed to get food, want to join me?”
Eren nodded his head at the invitation and began walking next to her. “I heard you weren’t feeling well, I assume you’re better now?
Elise nodded. “I don’t know what happened, maybe a 24 hour bug or something. I just didn’t feel right after that party.”
Eren gave her a weird look. “Party? Where at?”
“Some seniors frat house,” Elise shrugged. “Zeke or something.”
“You’re kidding,” Eren muttered, his expression becoming serious.
“What’s wrong?”
Eren only shook his head as he pulled his phone out and began typing quickly. He managed to cover what he was writing as he turned to her again. “Did you talk to him?”
“Uh, briefly, yes.
“And what did you talk about?”
“Not really anything, he introduced himself and asked who I was there with.” Elise frowned. “Well, after he left that was when I started feeling strange. I still kinda do if I’m being honest.”
Eren stopped walking and stared at her.
“What? Do I have something on my-”
He grabbed her wrist and pulled her along, walking faster. “Come back with me, I’m stopping by Connie and Jean’s.”
“Wait, why? I don’t feel that bad anymore.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Eren insisted. “Anything with Zeke is bad news, he’s not exactly the type of person you want to be hanging around.”
Elise huffed but stayed silent the rest of the way to the apartment. She figured there was a method to Eren’s madness.
When they got there, Eren didn’t even bother knocking. He barged in and pulled Elise right after him.
It seemed like they were waiting for them to arrive, considering they were all crowding around the kitchen.
“Hey, Elise!” Sasha said, the first one to talk like always. “Feeling any better?”
“Kind of.” Elise shrugged.
Sasha gave her a sweet smile before pulling her into the living room, muttering something about a new book she got.
Eren’s face steeled, “So Zeke messed with her?”
Jean nodded. “I’m not sure what he did. Hitch called me and said she seemed to be in some sort of flashback state. Who knows what he made her see.”
Eren grit his teeth. “That son of a bitch. You figured after that life he’d be done messing with us.”
After a few moments of them trying to figure out what to do, Sasha came back without Elise.
“She’s sleeping, poor thing was so worn out.” Sasha shook her head. “What’s the game plan?”
Connie shrugged, “Haven’t come up with one.”
Armin spoke up. “I think we should let it happen naturally, we all had to go through it. We don’t know what could happen if we interfere.”
“Armin’s right,” Mikasa agreed. “This is-was-her life."
They seemed to come to an agreement, don’t get involved unless they had to, even if they didn’t like it.
~~~~
Elise felt an elbow in her ribs, she glanced over with a scowl. “What?”
“You’re making it too obvious,” Sasha whispered, “he’s gonna notice.”
“Pff, he’s the most oblivious person here, next to Connie.” Elise rolled her eyes.
Sasha shrugged, “Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
Elise ignored her and went back to playing with her food, her head resting in her hand. She was trying to pretend Jean wasn’t blatantly fawning over Mikasa. Even after everything that went on between them that night, that wasn’t something they’d do platonically. Yet Jean never mentioned it, it was as if it never even happened.
“Look at Jean blushing!” Connie laughed, shaking her from her thoughts. “You’re in deep.”
“I am not!” Jean argued, his face reddening even more.
Everyone at the table laughed at his flustered expression, his reactions betraying his words. Jean groaned before covering his face with his hands.
Elise rolled her eyes, wanting nothing more than to get away from their endless jokes and teasing.
“Elise!” Marco called, “Walk with me back to the bunks.”
Elise huffed as she passed Sasha her tray and stood.
“What’s wrong?” Marco asked once they were far enough away from the mess hall.
“Nothing, just tired.”
Marco turned to her with a raised brow, “I’ve known you for what? 14 years? As if I wouldn’t know you’re lying.”
Elise groaned in embarrassment. “Fine, but you can’t tell anybody this.”
Marco nodded, holding out his pinky, something they’d done ever since they were kids.
Elise looped her pinky with his before sighing. “Don’t laugh, but I like Jean.”
“I know.”
“Wait, what?”
“I could tell, it’s not that obvious. At least not to Jean, but for me it is.”
“This is so embarrassing!” Elise threw her hands up.
“I’m just that good of a brother,” Marco grinned.
“Stop it,” Elise mumbled, burying her face in her hands.
Marco’s expression became thoughtful. “You know, Jean isn’t the best at expressing his emotions. Comes off as cocky more often than not. But I think something in him likes you.” He concluded.
Elise gave him a dumb look, “Oh he defintely does, especially with the way he is always staring at Mikasa.”
Marco shrugged, “I’m just stating what I observe.”
Elise sighed, “I don’t know. I’m not getting my hopes up that anything will happen.”
Marco shrugged again, “Who knows what’ll happen. I’m just saying, don’t throw it all away for no reason.
~~~~
Elise found herself wandering to the diner again, though she was alone this time. She sat at an empty booth and stared out the window. Trying to get her mind off of visions and nightmares.
“Where’s the other three?”
Elise jumped a little, but relaxed once she saw who had talked. Levi. “I figured I’d just come alone today.”
Levi nodded, “Anything I can get for you?”
Elise shook her head. “I just wanted some quiet.”
“Well if you change your mind just holler.” He said, before turning away.
Elise thought for a second, “Wait, Levi. Have we ever met before?” He gave her a strange look before she continued. “It’s weird I know, but I have this constant feeling that I know people I’ve only just met. I can’t figure it out and it’s driving me crazy.”
“Well maybe you are crazy,” Levi snorted.
“Haha, that’s funny.” Elise deadpanned. “This is serious and I don’t want to tell any of my friends because then they’re gonna worry.”
Levi sighed and sat down. “If they’re your friends they’ll care about you.”
“That’s true, but-”
“Nope, I think you should tell them. Who knows, maybe they’ve felt this way before.” Levi insisted.
Elise shook her head, “I really doubt they’ve felt like this.”
Levi shrugged, “You’d be surprised. Just try it, it might make you feel better.” He stood from the booth, “That’s my advice to you, do what you please with it. But whatever you do, I’m sure this will all be over soon…whatever it is you’re going through.”
Elise sighed, knowing he was right.
Collapse at the Order meeting
Wolfstar x Wolfstar!daughter
REQUEST: Sirius’ daughter collapses at an Order meeting. Uncle Moony and Sirius helps. Cut it off before R wakes. Please include short mention of Ron, Harry, Hermione, Weasley family, the order members + “Uncle Moony”, she/her pronouns
SHE/HER
A/N: Just my cup of tea. Hope this is okay.
Remus raised the reader as Sirius was in Azkaban. They are a happy little family once he got out and they talked.
“Night Sirius,” Remus said as he walked towards the door. The rest of the members of the Order of the Phoenix were still sitting around the table. Some seemed to be half asleep while the rest were caught up in small talk.
“Night Y/N,” Remus said, turning around to flash her a smile before leaving to his room upstairs. She smiled back at him but said nothing. Her mind was swirling as if caught in the wind.
“Night Moony!” Sirius yelled after his friend. In return, he received a small laughter as Remus closed his door. Her father turned around on his heels, heading to the kitchen. She followed him, wanting to ask a question.
“You hungry?” he asked her, rummaging through the fridge. He dumped a few sandwich options on the countertop, waving his wand summoning the bread in the cupboard to his right.
“Not really. I have a question…” she answered, trailing off at the end. The wind feeling turned into a full blown storm, knocking her out of balance. Sirius was so caught up in making a sandwich that he hardly heard what she had answered.
A thud caught his attention though. He spun around, looking at his daughter who was leaning against the doorframe. His let his eyes wander over her body. Trembling, pale and unsteady.
“Hey, you alright?” he asked, moving towards her without waiting for a reply. A gently arm around her waist and he helped her towards a chair by the table that Tonks had offered. Being the only one that had noticed the sudden change, she looked worried at her two friends. Her feet dragged over the hardwood floor, not cooperating with her. Once she was seated, Sirius sat down on his knees in front of her. His eyes were trying to lock with hers, but they were too unfocused. That worried him even more.
“Look at me, Y/N. Hey, come on. Talk to me,” he said. A gentle hand pulled her chin up, so she faced him. Slowly he began to brush his fingers over the top of her hand in a reassuring way. Grey lazy eyes stared back at him for a second before going unfocused again. Panicked, Sirius ran a hand through his long black hair. With a wave of her wand, Tonks conjured a glass of water, handing it to Sirius.
“Drink,” he ordered. No reaction. Her body swayed in the chair, eventually leaning against the shoulder of her father. He put the glass down on the table and began to rub her back.
“It’s alright, darling. It’s alright… - Do you want me to get uncle Moony?” he whispered in her ear. No reaction. He stopped moving his hand, leaving it on the top part of her back, waiting to feel her breathing. It was shallow and uneven. Shit, he thought.
Without a warning all of her body weight was once more shifted onto Sirius. He held her in his arms, gently lowering her to the floor. One hand holding her head and the other supporting her waist. Nymphadora let out a small scream, which caught the attention of everyone around the table.
“REMUS!” Sirius yelled in panic as he saw her eyes roll back into her head. Molly Weasley was on her feet in seconds, hovering above them with confusion and worry etched on her face.
A few seconds later a door upstairs were flung open and the sound of footsteps running down the stairs was the only sound to be heard. Everyone else had stopped talking, following the commotion at the end of the room with caution.
“What? What?” Remus asked frantically as he ran into the room, wand up ready to fight. Upon seeing his best friend and his daughter on the ground he lowered his wand and jumped the few steps in between the door and them.
“She just collapsed…” Sirius mumbled, trying his best to force the tears back. Remus completely ignored the other people in the room and focused all of his attention on the unconscious girl on the floor. She was like a daughter to him. He would do anything to keep her safe. Not in a million years had he thought of her being injured at home. His fear was seeing her hurt in the middle of a battle.
“What’s going on?” Ron cried out at the end of the table. Next to him sat two very concerned children, Harry and Hermione. The golden trio were told to stay seated by Molly, who tried her best to give Y/N, Remus and Sirius enough space. The rest of the people in the room was Mad-Eye Moody, the rest of the Weasley family, Albus Dumbledore and Auror Kingsley. All looked at the scene unfold.
“Right, I think it’s best to give them some space,” said Arthur Weasley suddenly. Everyone’s eyes were on the Black’s and Lupin. Arthur wanted to give them more space than Molly, he wanted to give her some privacy once she woke up. Everyone slowly got up, following Arthur upstairs. No one wanted to leave before knowing if the young Black was alright. Molly gave her husband an appreciative look before he left.
Tonks outright refused to leave and so did Molly. They stayed back enough to let Remus kneel next to Y/N on the opposite side of Sirius.
“Love? Can you hear me?” he asked rather loudly. No response. Having read countless of books, including medical and healing books, Remus went on autopilot. At first, he gently rubbed her sternum to wake her. As that did nothing, he called her name again, rubbing harder.
“There we go! Come on, sweetheart. Open your eyes,” he coached as he saw her hands turn into fists. Remus very well knew that what he was doing was hurting her, but it was the best way to wake her up. After being Moony, his werewolf self, he would occasionally fall unconscious, scaring the living daylight out of his mates. They used to do the same after reading it in a book similar to the ones he had read.
She groaned and pulled her hands up to stop Remus from hurting her further. She held onto the sleeves of his oversized, shaggy sweater.
This is inspired by this post :))
“Padfoot?” Harry asked, scrambling up to the table beside Sirius. He slapped his grubby little hands up on the table that was taller than he, and peaked over it to get a look at what Sirius was doing, “What’s that?”
“These are taxes.” Sirius said calmly, reaching down to grab Harry by the waist and hoist him up onto his own lap, “It’s things adults have to do with money. It’s very boring.”
“Do you have to do writing?” He asked, poking the page with a… green finger.
“Yes, a little bit.” Sirius said, grabbing Harry’s hand to get a good look at it, “Why are all of your fingers different colours, Bambi?”
“I wanted to be a rainbow!” He exclaimed, poking Sirius in the face, “Just like you!”
Beside them, Remus snickered, covering his mouth with his hand.
“Just like me, huh?” Sirius asked.
“Yeah.” Harry giggled, “Like you and uncle Moony.”
Sirius laughed and nudged Remus in the ribs, “Hear that Moons? It’s not just me.”
Remus rolled his eyes and shook his head, “You’re trouble, Harry.”
Harry giggled and smiled up at Sirius, “Do you get to do colouring on taxis?”
“Taxes, Sprout, they’re called taxes.” Sirius corrected, running a hand over Harry’s unruly hair, “And no, it’s so boring. No colours allowed.”
Harry poked out his tongue and blew a raspberry, “Can I help you? Maybe I can make it fun.”
“You can absolutely help me if you like, Remus has to help me too because I’m not much good at this stuff. I reckon you’ll be pretty good at it though, don’t you think?”
“Yeah! I’m good at everything.” Harry nodded, “Mummy says I’m the best ever.”
“Well, your mummy is right. Isn’t she, Moons?”
“She’d probably hex me if I said she was ever wrong.” Remus agreed, “So yes, your mother is always right, Harry. You are the best ever.”
Proudly, Harry grinned and stuck his hands up in the air. Sirius tugged him into a big hug and kissed the top of his head before they settled comfortably in their shared chair.
Harry listened carefully as Remus explained each step to Sirius, and together they figured out how to do Sirius’ taxes.
Once that task was done, Remus left for work and Harry followed Sirius through their little house towards the laundry.
“Can I help, please, Padfoot. Mummy says I’m so helpful.”
“Absolutely you can help me, Harry.” Sirius grinned, opening up the washing machine and pulling out all the wet laundry. “I’ll carry this basket outside because it’s very heavy, but maybe you can help me hang everything out, how does that sound?”
“Okay!” Harry shouted running off in the other direction, “I’ll go get your sunglasses!”
“They’re beside my bed!” Sirius called back, chuckling to himself as he loaded up the basket.
He met Harry by the back door, and the little boy was huffing and puffing from his run throughout the house, looking for Sirius’ sunglasses and his own pair that had gotten lost in the mess of his own little room for sleepovers.
They both put their shades on, looking super cool and awesome in them together, and went outside into the summer sun to hang the laundry.
Harry was very helpful, as he said he would be, and handed Sirius each individual item from the basket so he could hang them out. Harry wanted to help hang things up too, because he said it looked fun, but he was too short to reach the clothes line. Sirius did put the boy on his shoulders at one point to hang a few of his own little socks and undies out.
Harry was very satisfied to be helping. Sirius finds it’s adorable how Harry just wants to hang around him all the time, even when he’s doing perfectly mundane things like laundry and taxes. But he supposed he used to be the same with James.
When they were younger, Sirius would follow James everywhere, and he’d watch when James wanted to do extra homework, he’d watch when James polished his broom, and he’d hang around when James wanted to read his magazines. They were best friends, of course Sirius wanted to spend every waking minute with James.
It fills him with so much pride to be that best friend to little Harry. It makes him so happy to know that Harry likes to plod around behind Sirius, doing the most boring of things, simply because he enjoys Sirius’ presence.
Sirius and James may be the best of friends, but they’re nothing compared to the friendship Harry and Sirius have created. They’re together as much as they possibly can be. When Harry was really little, he’d often get confused and call Sirius “dad”, which only made James extremely happy of course.
After the laundry was hung out, they popped back inside for a spot of tea and muffins before getting ready to head out for the day. Harry put his favorite t-rex shirt on, and the boots Sirius bought him for his last birthday. Sirius also wore his boots, and his T.Rex shirt so they’d sort of match.
They both took their leather jackets and wore their matching “cool guy” sunglasses.
Sirius isn’t allowed to take Harry on his motorcycle without adult supervision (James does not count as adult supervision), so they walked down the street, hand in hand, to the bus stop to head into town.
Harry had a wonderful time on the bus, as he always does. He likes to press his face up against the window and watch the world zoom by. It fascinates him how they can move so fast without feeling the wind in his hair or anything, unlike flying on a broom. He thinks it’s brilliant.
He also had a lovely chat with an older lady on the bus. Harry likes to talk to strangers, which became a bit of an issue a few months ago when he’d just wonder off with them. Luckily none had been of the evil sort and helped him find his family again, but it was certainly a problem. He’s better now though, only talking with strangers when someone he knows is also there.
So when an older lady sat across from them on the bus, Harry got chatting away. She told Sirius he was such a lovely boy, and that he should be a very proud dad. Harry and Sirius both had a bit of a giggle about that, and Harry corrected her by calling Sirius his “bestest friend in the entire world and also my uncle”.
When they finally reached their stop, Sirius had to pick Harry up and carry him away because all he wanted to do was chat with the lady. He was very upset to get off the bus, but Sirius bribed him with a lollipop later, so Harry calmed down.
“What’s this place?” Harry asked as they walked through the double doors of the optometrist.
“It’s where you go to get glasses.”
“Oh…” He furrowed his brow, “Did daddy have to go here?”
“Yep.” Sirius nodded, “He has to come back every so often, too.”
“Why are we here?” Harry asked, skipping along beside Sirius as they walked up to the counter, their hands intertwined.
“Because Moony thinks I need glasses, even though I think he’s wrong. But also… you might need glasses too.”
“Like daddy?”
“Yeah, like daddy.” Sirius smiled, “We have to get a little test done, but don’t worry, it’s not scary, just a bit weird. And I’m gonna be there the whole time.”
“Okay.” Harry shrugged, “Can I get glasses like daddy?”
“You can get whatever glasses you want, if the eye doctors say you need them.”
“Okay!” Harry grinned, jumping on the spot.
When the pair were finally called in for their assessment, Sirius went first to help calm some of Harry’s rising nerves. He sat in the chair and confidently named all the letters the optometrist pointed out to him. Once all his tests were done, and Harry was squirming in his lap, excited and ready to take his own tests, the optometrist delivered some shocking news.
“Yeah, you really need some glasses.”
“Shit.”
“Bad word!” Harry gasped, “You’re not allowed to say that.”
“Bullocks, then.” Sirius corrected, “Bloody Remus, why is he always right?”
Harry was very brave through the bulk of his tests, it was only when the optometrist had to get up close to his eyes did he grab onto Sirius and squeeze his wrist so hard that he has little half moons indented in his skin from Harry’s nails.
Nevertheless, Sirius was proud of him, and he told Harry so much. Together, they wondered through the store, hand in hand, and picked out their glasses.
Harry picked a pair similar to his dads, round, black wire frames that were almost bigger than he was. He loved them though, and thought he looked amazing in them, and Sirius thought he was too adorable to not let Harry get them.
Sirius picked out some semi rimless tortoiseshell glasses that suited his face well, and didn’t draw too much attention whilst still accentuating his eyes. When he asked for Harry’s opinion, Harry just said, “You look really smart!”
Sirius looked back at his own reflection and realised he did look pretty smart, and decided he should buy them because Remus would probably find him really attractive.
Once the glasses were bought and they both stepped out wearing them, they headed down to the store to buy some groceries. Tonight, Harry wanted to help cook dinner with Sirius because they were having a big family tea. Lily and James were coming over, as well as Uncle Wormy, Aunt Mary, and Lele (or, Marlene, who refused to be called an aunt because she did not feel responsible enough for that title. Harry calls her Lele, and is the only one allowed to do so, because when he was smaller he couldn’t pronounce Marlene, or Marls, or Marlie, so he automatically shortened Marlie to Lele).
Harry got to sit in the trolley as they wandered around the store, and he was very helpful when grabbing the food they needed and putting it all in the bottom of the trolley in a very organised manner. All the cold things were on one side, all the not cold things on the other, all the big things at the back, and all the little things at the front. Sirius was very impressed with his organisation.
“What do you think, Bambi?” Sirius asked, stopping by the meats, “Would you prefer roast chicken, or roast lamb for tea?”
“Uhm…” Harry thought, tapping his chin as he inspected the meat isle, “Lamb because it’s bigger and I’m so hungry.”
Sirius giggled and grabbed the lamb, handing it to Harry to organise in the trolly, “Careful, muscle man, it’s heavy.”
“Woah!” Harry wobbled as he took it in two hands, carefully crouching down to put it where he wanted it to go, “It’s okay, I’m getting really strong.”
“Yes you are.” Sirius grinned, beginning to push the trolley again, “You’re almost stronger than I am.”
Harry giggled, very giddy on the compliment. Sirius adores how easy it is to get Harry in a giddy state, he gets so adorably flustered anytime anyone gives him a compliment, Sirius can’t help but compliment him all the time.
Honestly, it’s probably a little selfish of him, but he supposed it’s a good thing anyway, that he wants to dote on Harry all the time. He never grew up understanding what it felt like to be loved, he never had the adults in his life compliment him, or encourage him, or help him when he got things wrong, so he does all these things double for Harry.
It makes him so incredibly happy to know that the little rascal is growing up with such a loving environment around him, and with so many people who care about him so viscerally. So who gives a fuck if it’s selfish, at least Harry gets to feel pure happiness every single day, and gets tucked into bed at night with forehead kisses and story times, and at least he knows what it feels like to be loved.
He can’t help himself when he leans over and scruffs up Harry’s hair, and honestly, darn Remus because now he can see the twinkle of admiration in Harry’s eyes even better. Sirius flicks him on the end of the nose, which makes Harry giggle, and they spin around the corner to continue with their shop.
“We need to remember to get some mint when we go back past the vegetables, so we can make some mint sauce. Do you think you can remember that, smarty pants?”
“I will try my best.” Harry smiles, standing up and facing the front of the trolly to point Sirius in the right directions, because he’s in charge here, that’s the rules, according to Harry. “Can we please get some pudding?”
“I think that’s a great idea.” Sirius smiled, “What are you thinking? Maybe some icecream? Or something warm?”
“Icecream with lots of toppings!” Harry shouted, turning back to look at Sirius, “Can we have strawberries and grapes?”
“Ooh, that sounds super yummy.” Sirius grinned, “And chocolate sauce and sprinkles too?”
Harry giggled, “Yes please.”
“Lead the way, captain!” Sirius bellowed out, and Harry turned to point him in the wrong direction, and they spent the next ten mineuts getting lost in the store.
By the time they got to the register, Sirius realised he’d forgotten the mint.
When Sirius raced back to the front of the store, to find Harry standing there anxiously with fully packed bags and an impatient cashier, he panted out a quick apology, scanned through the mint, and rushed Harry out of the store with their shopping.
“Sorry, Harry.” Sirius grumbled, switching the bags around in his hand to get a comfortable grip on them, “I know you hate being left up there by yourself.”
“She didn’t even want to talk to me!” Harry pouted, carrying a whole bag of shopping by himself. He looked like he was struggling with it, but when Sirius asked if he needed a hand, he promised he was strong enough to carry it himself.
“Well, she must have sucked. Some people are so boring, aren’t they?”
“Yeah.” Harry moped.
“But, if it’s any consolation, I bought you a giant sized lollipop like I promised.”
“Giant?” Harry asked, bewildered as he looked up at Sirius.
“Giant.” Sirius whispered back, like it was a wonderful secret, “It might even be bigger than you.”
Harry laughed so brightly, almost tripping over his own feet he was so distracted by it, “You’re so silly, Paddy.”
“I know, I know, I’m just the silliest.” Sirius laughed along with him, “You can eat it on the bus, if you want. But you won’t be allowed to eat it when your mum and dad come over, or they’ll get me in trouble for letting you have so much sugar.”
“Okay, I’ll keep a secret.” Harry whispered, absolutely delighted by the thought of keeping secrets from his parents.
“Good boy.” Sirius grinned down at him, “Come on, we’re almost at the bus stop.”
On the ride home, Sirius started up a game of I-Spy, which Harry roped a couple of teenagers on their way home from school into playing. They were two girls, each with hair bigger than their backpacks, who giggled whenever Harry said something adorable.
Sirius only stopped giggling with them when one of the girls made a comment about how Harry had a really cute dad too. Which of course, Harry didn’t pick up on and only corrected them the same way he had that old lady earlier today, but Sirius very pointedly didn’t continue any conversation with them out of pure discomfort.
On the short walk back from the bus stop to Sirius’ house, Harry started to struggle even more with his shopping bag. The big day had started to catch up with him, and the little boy started to get tired, tripping over his own feet and going unnaturally quiet. Not only that, but carrying an entire shopping bag whilst also trying to eat a jumbo lollipop seemed to be a very hard task.
“Oh, Harry, would you be able to grab my keys out of my pocket? I’ve got my hands full.”
“Me too!” Harry groaned. He had a tendency to get grumpy when he’s tired.
“Yes, yes, just put that bag down for a second- here, hand it to me, there you go.” Sirius nodded, taking the bag from Harry, “And hand me your lollipop- good boy.”
Harry reached into Sirius’ pocket and pulled out the house keys, finding the right one to stick in the door, “Got them.”
“Great job.” Sirius smiled, handing the lollipop back to Harry, but keeping the bag, “And there’s all your things back, good job. How about some I-Spy?”
“Okay.” Harry shrugged, too distracted to notice that Sirius had kept the shopping bag. It wasn’t very heavy, it just had a loaf of bread, the mint, some crisps, and a punnet of strawberries in it, but that was a lot for such a little boy. Sirius knew he wouldn’t give the bag up willingly, not wanting to look weak in front of his cool Uncle Padfoot, so Sirius has to get smart about these things.
Luckily, Sirius knows his nephew well enough to do these things smoothly.
They played a lazy game of I-Spy the rest of the short walk home, and Harry cheered up a little without the extra weight in his hands. He was pretty happy to be the one who unlocked the door when they got there, and ran inside to greet Libby the lizard.
Libby was a bearded dragon Sirius had purchased on a whim one afternoon about two years ago. He and Harry had been out on a walk and popped into the pet shop so Harry could look at all the puppies and kittens, and when he saw the lizard he thought it was so hilarious and cool that Sirius brought it for him.
When Lily found out, she was furious. James was laughing his arse off, just thankful it wasn’t a cow, because Harry had previously been asking for a pet cow and he knows how easily Sirius bends to Harry’s will, especially when he pulls out the puppy dog eyes.
Lily said Harry could keep the lizard if he wanted, but it had to live at Sirius’ house, so of course Sirius agreed. At age three, Harry had a pet lizard he named Libby because there wasn’t much else he knew how to say, and Sirius took care of it for him.
The pair quickly unpacked all the bags, gave Libby her dinner, and then had a little break after their big day of walking around. Sirius made them both some tea and biscuits, and Harry did some colouring whilst they chatted.
Sirius got started on the dinner preparations whilst Harry continued to do some colouring, still too tired to help out just yet.
In the lounge, they had Led Zeppelin playing on the record player, because they were one of Harry’s favorites. Immigrant Song is Harry’s favorite, he likes to sing along to the “Ah ah aahhhhh ah” part.
Mindlessly, Sirius chopped up the vegetables for roasting, singing and dancing along to the tunes vibrating through the house.
After flipping the record, very carefully, as he had been taught by his uncles, Harry pondered into the kitchen and stepped up on his little helping-out-stool, and layed all the veggies out on the tray and covered them in oil and seasonings.
“Very good job, Harry.” Sirius smiled, taking the lamb out of the packet, “Go wash your hands again and you can help me season the meat, yeah?”
“Okay.” Harry grinned and skipped off to clean up.
Whilst waiting, Sirius turned the oven on to preheat and washed his own hands at the kitchen sink. When Harry returned, they got to smothering the meat in seasonings together and plopping it on the rack over the vegetables.
“Now, whilst that’s cooking we’ll make up the mint sauce, and then that’s all done.” Sirius smiled, “Should we prepare dessert now as well?”
“I think so.” Harry nodded, “Then we can be more fancy, like a restaurant, when everyone gets here.”
“Right you are, Sprout.” Sirius winked at him, grabbing the mint out of the fridge and instructing Harry on how to help.
They pottered around each other, and Harry did a very good job of stirring the sauce as Sirius quickly diced up the strawberries for dessert. And once everything was done, they got started on setting the table.
Remus came home about midway through their process, smiling at the inviting smell of a roast dinner. The full moon was approaching, Remus was even more appreciative of a good lamb roast than ever.
“Hi, love.” Sirius smiled, wandering over to kiss his partner hello.
“Hi.” Remus melted, kissing Sirius’ cheek back, “I see I was right?”
Sirius groaned, “Shut up- don’t Harry and I just look so flash in our new glasses?”
“Oh, look at you!” Remus smiled as Harry started to show off a bit, “Two very handsome men, you are.”
Harry giggled, hugging Remus’ leg, “Thanks, Uncle Moony!”
“Now, go shower and change.” Sirius said, shoving Remus towards their room, “We’ve got dinner to cook and guests to greet. Go, go.”
“Cute apron.” Remus smiled, backing away, “Pinks certainly your colour.”
Sirius flipped him off, one hand subconsciously smoothing over the frilly apron James had jokingly gifted him one Christmas.
Harry dragged Sirius back into the kitchen just in time to pull the roast out of the oven, and it smelt delicious. So delicious in fact, that Harry actually started drooling as he stared at it.
Sirius laughed his arse off, quickly wiping the boys chin before it dribbled down his shirt.
Once they had both calmed down a little, and Harry’s embarrassment had subsided, they got to cutting up the meat and plating. Harry was very helpful in this process, using the little tongs in the shape of dog paws to dish out all the vegetables into serving bowls, as well as transferring the cut off slices onto a platter for easy serving.
Once the table was all set and ready, and Harry was satisfied with how everything looked, he rushed over to put on some good “eating dinner” music as their family started to arrive.
Together they all sat around the dinner table, Harry at the head with Sirius right beside him at his request, and shared a lovely meal together.
James was almost rendered to tears when Harry told him he picked the glasses that looked most like his dads. Sirius had to hold his hand whilst he sobbed over his carrots.
Once the meal was done, Harry begged for another sleep over at his Uncle Pads because they had the best time ever doing big people things tomorrow. Sirius, of course, agreed, and the both of them begged James and Lily for another sleepover. Besides, Sirius had more mundane things to do tomorrow, and Harry always finds a way to make those things fun.
☆ ★ ☆
Anyway, I love Sirius and Harry’s friendship and I also love the marauders just doing normal people things so I thought why not?
This was great because I haven’t been able to write in ages cause some personal shit happened and my mind has been mush ever since and I’ve had all these writing ideas but no motivation or energy to write so this was really really fun. I didn’t put too much energy or effort into it, you know, it’s a pretty basic fic but I still think it’s fun.
Thanks for taking the time to read! I’d really appreciate reblogs and comments, they always make my day <3
Today's @wolfstarmicrofic is a Roommate AU!
(872 words.)
James is slowly going mad.
No, not even slowly. He's fallen straight into madness, and he doesn't know how to save himself.
When Sirius asked if one of his course mates, Remus Lupin, could move in for a while, of course, he said yes. Remus had been going through something, and James is always happy to help. Not only that, but Remus is bloody brilliant. He went from being shy, fairly withdrawn, to a hilarious, witty person who James is happy to call his friend.
Sirius clearly doesn't just want to call Remus his friend.
James doesn't think he can watch the two of them practically undressing each other with their eyes at breakfast, accidentally reaching for the same thing and blushing like idiots while they apologise, or trying their hand at fucking awful flirting. It's getting painful, the clear fact that they've fallen for one another right in front of them, while they dance around it like they've never been certain of anything less in their lives.
To be perfectly honest, James is starting to wonder if he should just lock them both in a room and-
"S'fine, I don't care," Sirius' voice cuts through James' thought process as he steps out of his bedroom and into the kitchen. James looks up just in time to watch Remus following behind him hurriedly. So quickly that he almost walks directly into Sirius when he stops and turns around to face him. "I'm not carrying you through the project just because you forgot you had shit to do, though. You can do your part later."
"When have I not done my work, Sirius? Christ, at this point I thought you'd trust me. I already apologised for forgetting!"
"Mhm, and I've already said I don't care. Go have fun on your date, Remus," Sirius says back, just a hint of bitterness settling in his words. It really does sound like he cares.
Remus must be thinking the same thing, because he walks out without saying another word. Sirius immediately heads to the fridge, dropping his head against the door and letting his shoulders slump with a sigh.
"Oh, Sirius, you're a fucking idiot," Sirius groans to himself under his breath. James chuckles.
"Agreed."
"Jesus buggering Christ!" Sirius jumps a mile, practically falling into the counter as he whips his head around to face James. "How long have you been sitting there?"
"Long enough to watch that trainwreck," James answers simply. For some reason, Sirius seems to decide that it's the perfect time to play dumb.
"What d'you mean? It's fine, Remus is just..."
"Going on a date," James fills in. "With someone who isn't you. Which, by the way, is really bloody stupid of him, so at least you've got that in common."
"No, that's not- I don't..."
All James needs to do is arch an eyebrow, and Sirius' shoulders slump.
"Okay, fine, yeah. I really like him."
"No, really?" James asks sarcastically. At Sirius' unamused look, he keeps talking. "Sirius, I'm not being funny, you should see the way he looks at you when you're not looking. Or even when you are, actually. I'm surprised you haven't seen it! You should have asked him out months ago."
"God, I've really fucked it up, haven't I?" Sirius groans, scrubbing a face over his hand. "I wanted to tell him ages ago, I swear! It's just, he-" Sirius drops down into the chair opposite James, eyes fixed on his hands. "He was going through a lot, and then I was asking him if he wanted to move in before I knew what I was saying! How am I meant to tell him anything when he's living in the same flat as me? That could go so wrong, James. I could literally ruin everything!"
Okay, James is at a loss for words. That's... a lot, and Sirius is clearly stressed out. He opts for reaching across the small table and squeezing Sirius' shoulder. Before he can say anything comforting, though, a rustle comes from the door. Someone's trying to get in, and if they have a key, they're really struggling to use it.
Sirius walks over to the door with a confused frown, pulling it open to find Remus, key held out and a stunned expression on his face. James watches the two of them hesitate in front of one another for a moment.
"Remus? What-?"
Before he can say another word, Remus expression fixes to one that James can only describe as determined, before he surges forward and connects his and Sirius' lips. Sirius staggers backwards for a moment, caught by Remus hands sliding around his waist as he reaches his own up to the nape of Remus' neck.
James doesn't know whether or not he should be averting his eyes. Thankfully, they decide that for him, Remus pulling away and starting to speak hurriedly.
"I got halfway down the street and realised that I was being so fucking stupid. I really like you, Sirius. I have for so long, and I guess I thought maybe a date would help me get over it but, God, all I wanted to do was come back here and see you, so..."
Okay, so they're both idiots.
Still, by the look on Sirius' face, he has a feeling that they're finally getting their act together.
