300 notes - we'll seek out a specialist for formal diagnosis of a dissociative disorder

500 notes - we'll start being more open about our plurality irl, introduce ourselves to new people as a system

1000 notes (not gonna happen) - we start correcting people when they use the wrong names/pronouns for us individual headmates

Asking the system whether they want to use parts language (each alter is part of a greater whole), or person language (we're multiple people sharing a body) is always so funny because this happens

friendly reminder that plurality is caused by trauma. trauma is defined as an event that has a severe negative impact on oneself. there are going to be dark parts of plurality that no one wants to talk about. the brain created you to cope with what it went through. it's okay to have parts (or wholes) that have “twisted” desires, attractions, innerworld or external relationships, sexual or emotional needs, etc. other people might call you disgusting, evil, immoral, but it's just part of being traumatized. it's going to be unpleasant or unsightly.

Some tips for offline communication in systems.

[ Something we've learnt is to write the year on the bodies leg or arm. Sometimes alters will front after months of not fronting, and not know the year. So writing it somewhere that they may check is great! ]

[ Confusion is normal. Something we've done is write our phone password on a note and keep the note in our pocket. its okay to forget to do this (It comes with being a system!), but its a great trick.

try leaving instructions on the paper on how to get into the phone aswell, like how to open octocon or Simplyplural. ]

[ If you struggle to communicate with a certain alter, try leaving them a note in person. Thats what one of our alters did, (he also left us a map!), and it helped alot to understand him and his view. ]

System doubt is a very real and present issue for a lot of plurals. This one goes out to them.

Shoutout to:

Hosts who doubt themselves or the existence of their system a lot

Alters who were made to think they're singlets by abusers or toxic people in their life

Littles/syskids who don't understand they're part of a system

Traumaholders who are so traumatized that they end up shutting down the possibility of being a system

Systems that go through frequent collapses/dormancies

People who aren't sure if what they're experiencing "counts" as being plural

Plurals with severe amnesia that leads them to forget the others

Those who are convinced their sysmates are "just" hallucinations, kintypes, BPD, etc.

The ones who have been professionally diagnosed, but still don't fully believe it

And anyone else I missed.

It's going to be ok. I promise, doubt is normal -- it's distressing, and it's hard to handle, but it's normal. I even doubt my own system from time to time. You're not alone.

"Real introjects don't look for sourcemates" wrong. Our irl friend (who is also a system) has a fictive from south park, and since he misses his friends he started calling 2 of that system's best friends the names of his sourcemates and acting as if they were them.

Doing sourcecalls is "a sign of faking"? If you appeared in a new universe without possibilities of going back home, you'd try to find things connected to it - even if sourcemates technically only share a face with your friends, they're still better than nothing.

So, nope, sorry to tell you. Real introjects, like anyone, miss what they had and if there's something that reminds us to it, we'll take it. And fakeclaiming us because of that is fucking stupid<3

I said endo so it isn't another system, hope this helps even if it was a system, 300,000 would be literally impossible lmfao it's not about thinking they have too many to be valid, it's about them claiming something impossible and spreading misinformation about a disorder that's already stigmatized.
