Y'all I am 100% convinced that four year old me knew I was gay before I was gay. But not only gay that I was low-key trans/nonbinary as well.
Like little story time here.
So when I was but a young kindergarten lass I had a fun play friend named Jasmine now Jasmine was in the same class as me and we spent time together ALL THE TIME. We sat together in circle period, Snack time we'd share our lunches, and play time we were always each other's playmates. Not gonna lie it was pretty serious for a kindergarten relationship.
Now we were only friends at that time BUT I already knew there was no one other than her I'd love to spend my life with.
So one night as I'm having one my nightly chats with mother dearest as she braids my hair I tell her that I'm gonna marry Jasmine.
Immediately my deeply catholic conservative mother tells me:
Oh no sweetie. Girls can't marry girls. But I'm sure you'll both be very good friends!
As you can tell I was immensely disappointed. And I tell you this was where the little Gaylord in my head starting their scheming cause immediately after my sweet conservative Catholic mother uttered those words I began cooking up this idea in my head that I'd dress up as a groom and marry Jasmine. And let me tell you I had this all planned down to the shoes I'd be wearing. It was a mix of Gomez Addams and Mafia boss down to the pinstriped suit, black and white spats, mustache and all. The only thing that was missing was grey sideburns and a caramia.
Hell I even planned how we'd rendezvous at the park and get married in the little chapel then go to the petting zoo beside it.
It got to the point that I'd DREAM about it.
But then I changed classes and since my mother refused to network for me like she did with my other siblings I never heard from Jasmine again. Nonetheless, I still await the day where we can meet again and hopefully rekindle our spark.
So yeah. Four year old me was woke but I was just sleeping.

Haha what a great start to my day.
Just a warning to anyone on TT, just came across an account (@ the_reasons_i_drink), which is run by a 'Grumpy Gay who calls out bullshit'.
Very blatant hatred for nonbinary people (the one I saw, at least. I can't speak for the rest of his videos), and summed up being nobinary to 'lol, privileged white woman with pastel hair wants to feel different' and said being nonbinary isn't real.
Odd, isn't it, how homophobia and transphobia can come from right in our own community. It hurts more, I think.
Just wanted to put that out there so anyone reading this can just block him so you don't see that on your for you page.
Not putting this out there to go attack him! His comments are filled with people agreeing with him. Just block and walk away. I'm just flabbergasted at how, in the year of 2024, this is still a problem for enby people.
Happy Pride Month, I guess.

I like so much pets that create a challenge for me.
Fighting pets that refuse to obey and need to be properly educated.
Shy pets who are too embarrassed to obey their owners and need the appropriate incentives
Wild pets that resist and fight and that need to be tamed and domesticated.
Sneaky pets that need to be trapped so they don't run away, tied up and educated so they don't hide.
Magical pets that have their own traits and need to be handled in different ways.
I love all of them, and all their challenges. Is fun to see them becoming the perfects pets for me.

Queer 👏 people 👏 are 👏 not 👏 all 👏 fucking 👏 activists 👏
Stop quizzing us on queer history and asking us questions we aren’t qualified to answer about the world and about politics and about our identities
Stop trying to back us into a corner so you can justify your discrimination on the basis that we don’t know what we’re talking about or can’t “defend” ourselves to you
Stop treating every queer person that stands up and says “I want to be treated like a person” as if they’re an activist
Cut that bullshit out
Marginalised people just want to exist and be happy
I don’t know everything, and that doesn’t make me undeserving of your respect or my human rights you fucker
I don’t even owe you the stuff I do know- I still am entitled to basic fucking respect
TLDR; Queer people shouldn’t have to be historians or scientists for you to not be a fucking dick

Quick reminder that you don't need a solid sexuality! You can just be in love! Or not be in love! Or have a gender! Labels are a choice, not a requirement. All you need to do is be someone you like being! If labels help with that, great! But they are not required. You don't owe it to anyone, so don't feel pressured to choose labels if they aren't your thing!

“Did you see the way that little girl looked at me? Kids. Little kids. They grow up believing that they can be a hero if they drive a sword into the heart of anything different. And I’m the monster? I don’t know what’s scarier. The fact that everyone in this kingdom wants to run a sword through my heart or that sometimes I just wanna let ‘em.” “We have to get you out of here. Over the wall. We won’t stop until we find some place safe, okay? We’ll go. Together. No matter what we do, we can’t change the way people see us.” “You changed the way you see me... Didn’t you?
NIMONA (2023), based on the comic by ND Stevenson, who came out as transgender in 2022

for whoever needs to hear this:
starting HRT doesn't have to be a huge momentous all-or-nothing decision. you can just try it like you would an antidepressant you've been informed of the risks of.
there won't be any immediate irreversible changes overnight. you can always stop, change your dose, change your delivery system, decide it's not the right time. you can even microdose if you want to.
you don't have to tell anyone. you don't have to announce it if you don't want to.
stop waiting for a perfect time in your life because it won't come.
stop waiting to reach a mythical level of certainty that never comes to anyone, for anything.
you've been thinking about it long enough. if you have the opportunity, just give it a shot. you're worth the courage it takes to make a change in your life.
