Sweet Like Grenadine
Daniel Ricciardo x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Summary: You love weddings. However, you don’t love being stuck by yourself at a wedding, a plus one to a boyfriend who’s too busy for you. Enter Daniel Ricciardo, your knight in shining armor.
Word Count: 5.6k
a/n: thought of this concept and couldn’t get Danny out of my head. He’s soooo guy you flirt with at a wedding and will probably never see again coded
Warnings: alcohol/intoxication, mild sexual content (heavy makeout? idrk how to tag this stuff), one (1) shitty boyfriend
The table in front of you is draped with a heavy white tablecloth. At the center is a large bouquet of flowers, the number 19 stuck haphazardly in the middle of it. Not last, but certainly low on the list. You can’t blame them- you barely know the bride and groom.
You’re only here because your boyfriend is a groomsman. A plus one. You love weddings, so of course you’d agreed, but you hadn’t really considered how lonely an event like this could be. The only person you really know has been busy all day. You can’t complain, won’t complain, you know that’s why he’s here, but…
You’re sitting at a table full of strangers. It’s not exactly fun. There’s still hours left of this. Dinner hasn’t even been served, there’s still speeches and cake and dancing and honestly, you’re already exhausted. You need a drink, but the bar isn’t open yet. You need to take off your heels, but you’re pretty sure that would be frowned upon. You need to talk to your boyfriend.
He’s busy, though. He told you as much when you found him between the ceremony and the reception. There’s a pang in your chest still at the way he brushed you off, the way he told you he didn’t have time to chat. You get it, you really do. You’re not going to get upset about it.
The seat to your left has been empty since you sat down, but someone collapses into it, letting out a heavy sigh. You turn to look, hoping for some sort of familiar face or at least a friendly one, and you’re met with-
“Hi. ‘M Daniel,” he says, sticking his hand out to shake yours.
The thing is, Daniel is a familiar face, but not for any of the reasons you’d hoped for. You know Daniel because your boyfriend is obsessed with Formula 1. You try to keep up so you can take part in his conversations, but it’s never really been your thing. But you know enough to know Daniel Ricciardo.
“Yeah, I… I know,” you say, before you slap your hand over your mouth. “Shit! I’m sorry. That’s weird. S’just- my boyfriend’s a huge fan-“
You swear his face drops slightly, but he plasters that grin right back on before he says, “and you’re not a fan?”
“I’m not not a fan,” you say. “He’s just the bigger fan. Of the two of us.”
Daniel nods. You finally shake his hand. He never stops looking at you, never stops smiling. You tell him your name, and he repeats it back to you, his accented version making you smile.
“Well, is he here? I’d love to meet the bigger of the two fans,” he says. “We talking, like, box fan, industrial blower, air boat fan? How big?”
You laugh, his hand squeezing yours as you lean over the table. He’s laughing, too, then, before he lets go of your hand. You want to crawl out of your skin, want to run and hide in the bathroom, because you’re definitely making a fool of yourself, but-
“Oh, he’s busy,” you say, waving your hand in the air dismissively. “He’s one of the groomsmen, got a lot on his plate. I don’t wanna bug him. He’s the one with the sunglasses on,” you say, pointing at him at the head table.
Daniel looks where you point and quirks his brow. “Guy like that has a girl like you and you’re the one worried about bugging him?”
You stare at him with wide eyes. He collapses into a fit of laughter again, and you follow suit. You don’t know what else to do. Then he nudges your knee with his, under the table, and juts his chin towards the bar.
“D’you want a drink?” He asks.
“The bar isn’t open yet,” you say.
“So?”
“So, how are you going to get a drink?”
He shakes his head and purses his lips. “Oh, sweetheart, you just watch and learn. What’re you having?”
You shrug. “A soda, I guess. I’m the designated driver for at least three of the groomsmen.”
Daniel sighs heavily. “You poor thing. You keep making me feel worse and worse for you. Alright, I’ll get you something.”
He strides his way up to the bar, which has a very obvious “Closed” sign on the countertop. There’s a single bartender behind it, and he’s cleaning glasses. You watch with entertainment as Daniel leans on the counter, exuding confidence and charm. The bartender shakes his head. Daniel counters. The man behind the bar shrugs and nods. Then he steps through a door for just a moment. When he returns, he has two drinks in his hands- one that’s obviously a beer, and one that’s bright pink. Daniel smiles, thanks the man, and walks the cups back to you.
He sets it down in front of you with a flourish before he takes a seat.
“I told you, I’m DD,” you remind him.
He nods, taking a sip of his beer before he says, “Shirley Temple.”
“Oh my god,” you say, a grin washing over your face. You pick up the cup and take a sip, sighing at the sweet taste of ginger ale and grenadine. “How did you know?”
“Everyone loves a good Shirley,” he says, elbowing you lightly. “And you can’t drink just plain soda at a wedding.”
They announce dinner shortly after that, and the waiters start bringing plates out. You’re starving, having been up early to help with last minute wedding things at your boyfriend’s request. You hadn’t had time to eat lunch. You chat with Daniel through the meal. The two of you talk about the food, about the wedding, about the decor. There are other people at the table, but they’re all incredibly boring in comparison. Daniel, on the other hand, could hold your attention forever, probably.
You sneak glances at your boyfriend, surrounded by his friends at the head table. He’d promised to sneak away as soon as he got a chance. He hasn’t even looked your way. You're trying to ignore the hurt deep in your chest. Daniel is sneaking glances at you sneaking glances at the bridal party. You’re trying to ignore that, too.
“How long have you two been dating?” Daniel asks.
“About 6 months,” you say with a smile.
It feels forced. Frankly, the last thing you want to talk about right now is your boyfriend. They’re clearing the last plates. He’s at his table, three beers in by your count, not a care in the world. He promised. Daniel opens his mouth, likely to ask another question about your boyfriend, but you speak first.
“So wait, are you here for the bride or the groom?” You ask.
“The bride,” Daniel says , a soft smile on his face. “An old family friend. I’m representing the Ricciardos.”
You smile. “That’s sweet.”
Before he can say anything in response, someone is tapping on a microphone. It’s time for the speeches. You know your boyfriend isn’t making one, which is good. He’s not exactly the best public speaker, especially when he’s been drinking. You and Daniel settle in to listen.
He sneaks away between the maid of honor and the best man, patting the back of your hand and whispering about being right back. He returns a few moments later, another beer and a Shirley Temple in his hands. You smile gratefully at him, and he waves you off. Then the next speech is starting, and you’re rolling your eyes at the way the best man talks about marriage like it’s some awful idea.
“He knows this is a wedding, yeah?” Daniel asks out of the side of his mouth, leaning towards you.
You shrug. “That one started drinking at 9am. I’m not sure he even knows what year it is right now.”
Daniel starts laughing, then. Luckily, the rest of the crowd does too- apparently, the best man has just made an extremely funny joke. Daniel is only looking at you, though, and you can’t help but laugh just because of the look on his face.
When the first dances are over and the music starts, you sink low into your seat. Your boyfriend has still not made an appearance. He definitely knows where you’re sitting, he had told you so earlier. You’re sure he’s busy, but you’d looked away for too long, talking to Daniel, and now he’s disappeared from the head table. You scan the crowd, hoping to see his face. All the while, you can feel Daniel watching you.
“We could go dance,” he suggests.
You sink lower in your seat. “I don’t really like dancing.”
That’s a lie. You love dancing, especially at weddings. You love the cheesy songs they always play, you love the atmosphere, you love watching the bride and groom have fun and getting to be a part of it. But you know how it would look if you went out on the dance floor with Daniel, and your boyfriend definitely won’t be joining you. As frustrated as you may be with your him, you don’t want to cause drama at someone else’s best day of their lives.
“I think I might try and find him,” you say, picking up your drink.
Daniel nods. “Want me to come with you?”
You look around at the rest of the table and find it empty. You shake your head and lean towards him, close enough that you almost knock your foreheads. Nobody’s watching the two of you or trying to listen anyways, but it’s more fun this way.
“He promised he’d find me before dinner,” you whisper conspiratorially. “That obviously didn’t happen. So I’m not bringing you to him as a reward for bad behavior.”
Daniel sits back in his chair and smiles at you, one brow raised. “Atta girl!”
You stand up from your chair and hope he can’t tell that your face has grown hot from that comment alone.
Even if you can’t find your boyfriend, it’s probably best that you get some space from Daniel. Through the last hour or so of your conversation, you’ve been catching yourself leaning towards him and then reminding yourself that you have a boyfriend. It’s just that he’s being so nice, and that you’re feeling so down about the whole thing. He’s comforting, which is fine. But it can’t be more than that.
You find your boyfriend at one of the bars, leaning on the counter and talking loudly with one of the other groomsmen. He’s drunk already- he should really slow down if he wants to last the night. You walk over to him, forcing a soft smile onto your face. You can’t confront him now, not in front of his friend and all the people waiting for drinks.
“Hey, babe,” you say, tapping his shoulder lightly as you walk up.
He turns. You wait for him to smile at you, but it never comes. Your stomach sinks.
“Hey,” he says, nonchalantly. “D’you need something?”
Your palms feel clammy. “Oh, no, I’m good! Just… wanted to say hi. S’been a bit.”
He nods. “Yeah. I told you I’d be busy tonight.”
His friend just stands there and listens. Your skin feels hot, and your eyes begin to sting.
“I know,” you say. “I’m not trying to bug you, I just- I was just walking by. Just. Yeah. That’s all. I’ll leave you to it.”
“I’ll come find you in a bit, baby,” he promises.
You don’t bother believing him this time.
Daniel doesn’t comment on your red eyes or the tear tracks on your cheeks when you return to the table. He just squeezes your arm and disappears for a moment, then comes back with yet another Shirley Temple. You don’t know whether to laugh or to cry, so you just take a sip of the drink instead.
“You don’t have to sit here with me,” you say to Daniel. “I’m definitely pulling down the mood.”
“Are you joking?” He says. “You’re the best thing at this party.”
You laugh, then, because the statement is so ridiculous that you can’t help it. He sounds so serious, and when you turn to look at him there’s no hint of teasing on his face. He just elbows your arm lightly again.
“Come on, we don’t have to dance but we’re not sitting here all night,” he says. “Let’s go wander.”
He stands from the table and tugs at your chair. You give in and stand up too, taking your drink from the table. You follow him as he weaves through the throngs of people. You like wandering. Wandering is a perfectly sensible thing to do with the guy you just met. At the wedding your boyfriend is a groomsman at. What else are you supposed to do, anyways?
He leads you past the dance floor, which you try not to look at forlornly. There are large glass doors at the back of the hall. He swings one open, holding it for you, waving you through with a flourish of his hand. Outside, it’s lit up with string lights. There’s a wide rolling lawn of grass, with fire pits and chairs spread out everywhere. There are lawn games, too- beanbags and horseshoes and a giant version of Jenga.
You can burn a lot of time out here. You barely even notice when Daniel slips his hand around your wrist to gently pull you with him. You should feel guilty about it. Your boyfriend is somewhere inside. But that same boyfriend has also been ignoring you all night. Daniel is just being friendly. You follow him to one of the fire pits with a smile on your face.
You and Daniel are nearly two hours into wandering when someone calls your name. You look up from where you’ve been staring at the beanbag board, trying to line up your throw just right. You’d been on the verge of winning for the first time. For an Australian, Daniel is surprisingly good at American lawn games. Frustratingly good, even.
It’s your boyfriend, calling you from the doorway of the reception hall. You sigh and drop the beanbag onto the ground near your feet. Two of the other groomsmen are hanging off of him, looking worse for the wear. One of them has something down the front of his shirt- you pray it’s not vomit.
“I think that’s my cue,” you say, nodding towards the building.
“You could always put them in a cab and hope they figure it out on their own.” Daniel says. You give him a skeptical look. “Kidding, kidding.”
“It’s tempting,” you admit.
Daniel bends over and picks up your heels from where they lay in the grass. You’d kicked them off as soon as you stepped into the soft grass outside. You slip the shoes back on and wince. Then you stick your hand out to him, palm open.
“Well, it was lovely to meet you,” you say, as he shakes your hand once more. “Thanks for not leaving me all alone.”
Daniel laughs. “I will be your ‘I-know-nobody-at-this-event-‘ partner anytime you want, sweetheart. Just give me a call. I’ll be there.”
You know what he’s trying to do. The opportunity is right there in front of you. He’s telling you to give him a call- this is where you ask for his number. But you have a boyfriend. You can justify hanging out with him, especially considering you had nothing else to do, but asking for his number feels a step too far.
You smile softly and drop his hand. “Goodnight, Daniel.”
You turn and make your way towards your boyfriend. He’s already complaining before you’re even within ten feet of him, about how he’s tired and he looked everywhere for you and how could you disappear like that? You apologize, just to quiet him down. You usher the three men inside before you turn to look at Daniel one more time.
He’s standing there, watching you, a sad smile on his face.
“Who was that guy?” Your boyfriend asks later, from the passenger seat of the car.
You look at him, at his eyes. The light is gone- he’s blacked out, there’s no way he’ll remember this tomorrow.
“Daniel Ricciardo,” you say.
It’s a testament to how drunk he is that he doesn’t even react.
You get all three guys into bed, including your boyfriend. You lay down next to him, as much as you don’t want to. There’s not really anywhere else to sleep in the little hotel room, and you’re not sleeping on the floor. When you close your eyes, you can’t fall asleep, plagued by thoughts of if you’d made the right choice, unable to erase Daniel’s sad smile from your memory.
…..
You love weddings. You remind yourself of that over and over again as you pin a dress in place for the hundredth time that day. Your best friend Natalie is a bridesmaid, it’s her sister who’s getting married, and you’re here to help in any way you can. So far, that’s included safety pinning, making a run for alcohol, checking on the floral delivery, checking to make sure the groomsmen are where they’re supposed to be, and comforting a bridesmaid who was crying in the bathroom. Her boyfriend had broken up with her the night before.
“Men are shit,” you’d told her in commiseration.
By the time the ceremony rolls around, you’re relieved to have a chance to sit down. You check on the bridesmaids one last time and head into the church. The pews are packed with people, so you find a spot near the back and sit down. You sigh in relief.
The music starts playing, and you finally take a chance to look around. The pews are decorated with flowers, there’s bright light streaming through the large windows. The groom waits up front, eyes already watering. You love weddings. You say it like a mantra in your head.
As the procession starts, you scan the crowd. You know more people at this wedding, having been friends with the family for a while. You’ll at least have some company at your table. You spot a couple friends from high school, a cousin you’ve met a few times, some mutual friends who you’ll definitely have to catch up with later. And then, in the third row on the groom’s side, you see dark curly hair that looks terrifyingly familiar.
It can’t be him. That would be absolutely insane. There’s absolutely no way Daniel Ricciardo is attending a second wedding in the US, for a couple who are no more famous than the previous wedding you’d seen him at. It would make absolutely no sense. And yet, you can’t stop staring at the back of this man’s head, the slope of his shoulders beneath his dark suit. You remember that wedding, months ago, resting your hand on his shoulder for balance as you took off your heels. He’d joked about having to cut you off, holding your Shirley Temple in his hand.
When the bridal procession begins playing, everyone stands. You keep your eyes on him. He turns, and your heart skips a beat in your chest. It’s Daniel. It’s impossible, it’s irrational, but it is him. You’d recognize him anywhere.
You force yourself to look away, to turn towards the bride. She looks beautiful, perfect, the picture of elegance. The flowers in her hands, the ones you’d checked on that morning, are perfect too. You breathe a sigh of relief. She really should’ve hired a wedding coordinator. Maybe you should be a wedding coordinator.
When you go to sit back down, you sneak a glance at Daniel. He’s looking over his shoulder at you, eyes wide. You meet his gaze and your cheeks feel hot. That wide, bright grin breaks out across his face. You grin right back.
When the ceremony is over, and they’re officially Mr and Mrs, the whole wedding disperses out onto the lawn of the church. There are shuttles to take you to the reception, but everyone seems content to mingle outside in the fresh air. You’re one of the first ones out, but you’re quickly swept up in the crowd. You search for Daniel in every face that passes. You find Natalie first, though.
“Nat,” you say frantically. “Does your sister know Daniel Ricciardo?”
Her brow furrowed for a second. “What?”
“Danny Ricciardo,” you repeat, keeping your voice low. “The F1 driver. He’s here.”
“Oh,” Natalie says, brows raising. “Yeah, he’s like, friends with her fiancé- oh, her husband! Shit, I forgot that you watch that stuff- or, you… did? I can probably try and introduce you-“
“No, we- we’ve met.” You admit. She’s the first person you’re telling about this. “At that wedding like 6 months ago.”
She tilts her head at you. Her eyes go wide. She says your name in a bewildered tone.
“Are you telling me that the mystery wedding man, who you definitely should’ve dumped your boyfriend for, was fucking Danny Ricciardo?”
“Keep it down!” You shush her.
“Oh my god,” she says, a conspiratorial smirk crossing over her face. “And he’s here.”
Someone calls your name. You know that voice- it’s haunted you since you left that wedding. You turn over your shoulder as Natalie grabs your wrist and lets out a squeak.
“Danny,” you breathe, like a sigh of relief. “Hi.”
He strides up to you, handsome as ever, grinning so widely it looks like it hurts. “This is fucking insane.”
An elderly aunt glares at him. He makes an apologetic face before turning back to you and shrugging. He steps into your space, so close you can smell his cologne. He’s staring down at you through his lashes. The look in his eyes is so soft and warm that you think you’re melting.
“The bride is my best friend’s sister,” you explain, gesturing at Natalie. “This is Natalie.”
“I’m friends with the groom,” he says, reaches his hand out and shakes Natalie’s hand. “I’m Danny, nice to meet you.”
She nods, and suddenly you’re very afraid. Natalie doesn’t have much of a filter, especially in high pressure situations. Especially when she’s been forced to be prim and proper all morning.
“You must really like American weddings,” she says, and you wince. “I hear this is your second one in 6 months.”
Daniel smirks, raises his eyebrows at you. “Huh. Wonder what else you’ve heard about me.”
She opens her mouth to say something, but you shove her shoulder. “Nat, aren’t you supposed to be taking family pictures?”
She’s so busy staring at Daniel she almost doesn’t hear you. Then her eyes go wide. She swears loudly, earning a glare from the same aunt. Then she drops your wrist and takes off through the crowd.
You turn towards Daniel. “Sorry about her.”
He shakes his head. “No need. She seems sweet.”
You smile. “She is.”
“Makes sense, since she’s friends with you,” he says. “The sweetest of them all.”
You laugh, shove at his shoulder lightly. “Shut up.”
Behind him, people are starting to get on the shuttles. He’s leaning towards you, eyes still lit up.
“I honestly can’t believe this,” he says.
“Neither can I,” you admit. “It’s.. it’s really good to see you.”
“It’s good to see you,” he echoes. “Feels like a sign, doesn’t it?”
You open your mouth to agree, to tell him what you’ve been thinking the past 6 months, but Natalie is calling your name. You and Daniel both turn to look at her, and the look on her face tells you she’s so sorry. You sigh and shrug.
“I have to go,” you tell him. “That bridal party is a mess.”
“Worse than the last one?” He asks.
“No,” you say. “And I don’t have to drive any of them home, so that’s a bonus. But I think I’ll be billing them for wedding coordinator expenses after this. Or at the very least, drinking enough at the open bar to make up for it.”
Daniel laughs. “Atta girl. Should I save you a seat on the shuttle?”
You let out a puff of air. “I’m riding over with the bridal party.”
His face falls in disappointment. “Okay. Find me when you get there, yeah? I’ll have a Shirley Temple waiting for you.”
You nod. “Make it a Dirty Shirley, would you?”
He nods eagerly and squeezes your arm.
You don’t actually make it into the reception until nearly an hour later. There’s an emergency with a groomsman’s tux, and the girl who was broken up with the night before is crying again. Nothing that can’t be fixed with safety pins and tequila, but it still takes time. You check your name on the seating chart, sigh at the sight of the name next to yours, the seat that will stay empty. You find Daniel’s seat, too, a few tables over from yours. You head there first.
Daniel is sitting, a beer in hand and a very watery Shirley Temple on the table in front of him. He’s chatting with the man sitting next to him, who looks a bit starstruck. He perks up when he sees you, reaching for your drink. You take it happily and have a sip, tasting ginger ale, grenadine, and vodka, too.
“The ice is a bit melted,” he says with a sigh. “But good news! Ian here has offered to switch seats with you.”
Ian is looking between you and Daniel, eyes wide. You’re sure he did offer, likely after Daniel had told him the whole crazy story, or at least enough to convince him. You watched him charm bartenders at the last wedding- he has a way with words. Ian starts to stand up.
“That’s really not necessary.” You say, and Daniel’s face falls. “There’s an empty seat at my table.”
He lifts his brows, grinning again. His brown eyes stare deep into your own. He stands up without waiting another moment, handing you your drink and holding his own.
“Ian, nice meeting you,” he says. “I’ll still get you those paddock passes,” he promises, and you bite back a laugh. “See ya ‘round, mate.”
He follows you to your table. There’s a setting with your name on a little card, and the empty setting next to it with another name on it. You grab that card and crumple it in your hand, shoving it into your purse. He quirks a brow but sits down anyways as you greet the others at your table- cousins of the bride and friends who you’ve met a few times.
“So. How’ve things been?” You ask, and he launches into a story that has you listening with every bone in your body.
Somehow, the two of you make it all the way through dinner and speeches and the first dance before the subject of your boyfriend even comes up. You wonder if he’s been waiting to broach it. You’ve been waiting for the right moment.
He nods towards the dance floor. “You have to promise me you’ll dance to at least one song tonight.”
You blink and shrug. “Easy. I love dancing.”
He stares at you. There’s the beginnings of another wide grin on his face.
“That is not what you said last time.”
“I lied,” you admit. “Because my boyfriend hated dancing.”
Daniel nods. “Hated. Past tense?”
“He’s not dead,” you deadpan, making him laugh. “But he’s also not my boyfriend anymore.”
Daniel’s foot nudges against yours under the table. “No?”
“No,” you say with a shrug.
Daniel nods. “Pretty girl like you, you must’ve moved on pretty quick,” he says.
His tone is light, teasing. He’s testing the waters. You shake your head and pretend you don’t see the way his shoulders sag in relief.
“I’ve sworn off dating,” you tell him. Your tone is teasing, too. “After he left me on my own at a wedding, I decided men are shit.”
You’re taunting him now. The conversation has gone from feeling each other out, from digging for information, to circling each other like sharks in the water. Your heart is beating steady in your chest. His eyes are locked on yours.
“You poor thing,” he says, eyes sparkling. “Let me prove you wrong?”
The tension crackles in the air. His knee nudges against yours and you swear you’re going to combust. You down the rest of your drink in one gulp, set the glass down, and reach for his suit jacket. You run your finger down the lapel, then back up, adjusting his collar.
“I swore off men,” you repeat, leaning forwards, keeping your voice low. “But this feels like a sign, doesn’t it? Like the universe sent me back to you.”
He nods. He reaches up, captures your wrist in his hand and holds it against his chest.
“So maybe you should go get me another drink,” you suggest. “And I’ll meet you on the dance floor.”
You lean even closer, then, close enough to press your lips to his cheek. Then you stand up and walk away towards where people are beginning to gather, to where the music is loudest. You don’t turn back to see if he’s watching. You already know he is.
…..
You have a fleeting thought, later, that maybe you should’ve switched to a drink with less sugar in it at some point in the night. The grenadine feels like it’s stuck to your tongue. Danny doesn’t seem to mind the taste, though.
He’s got you up against the wall in a back hallway of the reception venue. You back is pressed to the cool surface, your arms around his neck, his hands on your hips. His lips are on yours, and he’s kissing you deeply, like he’ll never get enough. You’re feeling the same.
His knee slots between your legs, and you’re a goner. His hand slips from your hip and cups your ass, hauling you closer with ease, tilting your hips away from the wall and into his. You break away for air, gasping for it, and he moves his lips to your neck. It feels heavenly, trapped between him and the wall, his hands all over you, his lips trailing lower and lower. He reaches up and brushes the thin strap of your dress off one of your shoulders. You shove your hands under his suit jacket and press them against his toned abdomen through his shirt. He lets out a groan, the noise vibrating against your neck. You throw your head back and laugh between gasps.
You wonder if he’d have his way with you right there. You wonder if you’d let him.
There are footsteps, then, clicking their way down the hall. You scramble to push him away as someone rounds the corner, but you know it’s painfully obvious. You turn your head, already feeling mortified, and come face to face with Natalie.
“Oh, thank god,” both you and your best friend say at the same time.
Daniel pulls away and looks between the two of you. You can’t look at him for more than a few seconds. His lips are red and puffy, his eyes half lidded. You distantly wonder if there’s beard burn on your face, if your lips are just as red. Then you start to wonder how his scruff might feel on other parts of you.
“I didn’t know where you’d gone,” Natalie says, laughing. “I heard noises, I thought…”
“I’m fine,” you tell her, and she nods in agreement.
“I’ll say,” she teases.
“Nat!” You hiss.
“You’d better take good care of her, Ricciardo,” he says, and your face grows hot all over again. “I don’t care how famous you are, I’ll fuck you up anyways.”
“Nat!” You hiss again.
“I will,” Danny promises, squeezing your hip and nodding. “I’m on a mission. Trying to prove not all men are shit.”
“Good luck,” Natalie says drily. But when she walks away, she’s smiling.
He turns back to you, and this time he places both his hands on the wall on either side of your head. You look up at him, licking your lips. You still taste the Shirley Temple, and you can taste him, too, now. He groans softly and closes his eyes. It’s nice to know you’re having an effect on him, too, nice to know you’re not the only one feeling worked up. You reach up and tug on the lapels of his jacket. You brush your lips against his jaw.
“We should have one more drink,” you tell him, humming happily. “And then you should take me to your hotel.”
He swallows. You press a kiss to the center of his throat.
“I’ve never heard a better plan in my whole life.” He says.
…..
At every wedding you go to afterwards, you order the same drink. Well, really, Danny orders them for you. You’ve thought a couple times about asking for wine or seltzer or even beer. You think it might break his heart, though. It’s a tradition now, and the pink sugary concoction will always taste like that very first night. Like bare feet in the grass, the thud of beanbags against wooden boards. Like Daniel’s laugh in the middle of the best man’s speech. Like you, alone at a table, and Daniel collapsing into the seat next to you, his hand extended to shake yours.
The same hand that’s wrapped up with yours now, resting on his knee. You never want to let go. You’re pretty sure he’d be okay with that.

Prompt: His white day gift to you.

Tumblr media
Malleus
Malleus gifts you a bouquet of red crystal roses. Each flower is gracefully carved from red crystals, and the base stem and leaves are gilded in 24-karat gold.
His gift is meant to symbolize eternal love. He even takes it a step further by saying, "My love for you shall remain until the roses wither."
Lilia
If you are of age, he will gift you a bottle of aged wine.
If not, he will give you a bottle of juice as a joke just to see your reaction. Then, laugh and hand you a luxurious box of heart-shaped chocolates.
Silver
Silver hands you a white velvet box containing a necklace. The necklace has a pure silver base with a white iridescent opal pendant surrounded by diamonds.
Unknown to you, the necklace is actually a gift passed down to the woman in his family as a symbol of being part of his family. Congratulations, he indirectly proposed to you, and you accepted. Lilia is looking forward to the wedding.
Sebek
Gifts you an oversized white teddy bear with a red plaid ribbon around its neck. The teddy bear has a red heart on the left side of its chest.
He practically shoves it in your hands and looks away, not knowing what to say. He hopes that when you miss him, you will hug the teddy bear.
Tumblr media
Riddle
Riddle goes through a list of gifts, not knowing which one to give you. He thinks jewelry, then switches to chocolates, but then feels too much sugar is not good.
So, he sticks with a traditional gift: a bouquet of white roses with red trim neatly held together by silver ribbons.
Ace
He goes all out for the gift and makes you a custom deck of playing cards, which are actually 52 reasons why he likes you. Each card has something he likes about you, from your appearance to your personality to the cute things you do that make him smile.
The gift is thoughtful, but part of you wonders why he chose to go all out. Did he do something? Something is definitely fishy.
Deuce
He gives you a white envelope with a lopsided heart drawn on the flap on the back. Inside the envelope is a heartfelt hand-written letter expressing his feelings. There are many scribbles, and apologies for the scribbles between the words, but you can tell each word holds meaning.
Along with the letter is a white ribbon that he wraps around your wrist and ties into an uneven bow.
Trey
He bakes you a cake with ingredients that he grew and harvested himself. And for the ones he bought, he made sure to purchase the finest ingredients.
The cake is layered with fluffy sponges, moistened with vanilla bean syrup, filled with a rich mascarpone and white chocolate blend, and enveloped in a silky white chocolate ganache. On top of the cake are rare white strawberries, highlighted with edible gold leaf and crushed pearls.
Cater
The first thing Cater does is check the internet for the most trending gifts for White Day. He narrows it down to a few gifts and eventually buys matching phone cases for the two of you.
The cases are white with pink, clear, and red crystals. He warns you to be careful with the case in the sunlight. Cater accidentally temporarily blinded Ace and Deuce by holding the case in the sunlight facing them. The shimmer of the crystals was too intense for the troublemaker duo.

Leona
Literally walks into a designer store and chooses the first thing that catches his eye. One can never go wrong with a scarf, right?
The white piped trim bandeau scarf is made of pure silk and has the designer's name monogrammed at the base of one of the ends.
Ruggie
Ruggie learns some recipes from his grandmother and cooks a meal for you. He tries to get the best ingredients he can, with the help of the garden club, so he can give you a decent quality meal.
The recipes are not fancy, nor is the plating, but he put a lot of effort into making it, so he hopes you like it.
Jack
He struggles to find a gift for you, and his siblings give him a few ideas, but none of them sit with him.
Jack gifts you a cactus terrarium with rare, colorful cacti arranged in a heart shape. But in case you don't like the gift, he also hands you a small box with a silver charm bracelet.
Tumblr media
Vil
Vil contemplates gifting you apparel or something fashion-related. However, he thinks clothes and accessories wouldn't convey his message properly.
So, he settles for a hand-held mirror. The mirror is made of 24-karat gold with diamonds surrounding the edges. An intricate rose is carved on the back of the mirror, with the stem and leaves curving around the base.
He wants you to know that no gold or diamonds can match your beauty.
Rook
Rook sets up a scavenger hunt for you with some of the most beautiful locations on the campus, where he hides the next clue. The end of the scavenger hunt leads to a picturesque picnic spot in the middle of the woods near a waterfall.
He recites a romantic poem for you, half in English, half in French. Then, the two of you enjoy snacks and talk for a while. Rook hands you a bouquet of white roses with one red rose in the center. The white roses represent your beautiful soul, and the red rose is your priceless heart.
Epel
Epel learns how to knit and crochet from his grandmother so that he can make you a handmade gift for White Day. He can't pick a design, so his grandmother tells him to just follow his heart and not overthink.
He knits you a scarf, using your favorite color as a base. Inside the curves of the scarf, which will be hidden around your neck, are the words "I love you." Epel hides those words on the inside of the scarf because they are meant for you, not the world.
Tumblr media
Azul
Azul wants to give you a physical gift but thinks that everyone gives physical gifts, so it's better to do something different.
In the end, he takes you to one of the finest restaurants under the sea, literally. You dine with sea creatures, trying out their unique and exclusive dishes.
Jade
At first, he is tempted to give you a mushroom terrarium but gives into his better judgment and gives you something you might like.
Jade presents you with a beautiful floral arrangement. The bouquet is thoughtfully arranged, and each flower symbolizes his feelings and love for you. Roses show his passion for you. Gerbera daisies represent the playful side you bring out in him and the joy you make him feel when he is with you. Alstroemerias show his care and support for you—know he will be there for you when you need him to. Lastly, Gladiolus represents his eternal love for you and his faithfulness towards you.
Floyd
He doesn't know what to get you, and his mood changes every time he decides on the 'right' gift. In the end, he gets frustrated and decides to just spend time with you in a fun place.
Floyd takes you to an amusement park. The two of you have fun, and he gets to spend the entire day with you.
Tumblr media
Idia
His initial idea is something video game-related, but Ortho advises against it. He gives Idia a lecture about finding a meaningful gift.
So, Idia builds and programs a cell phone for you that has some of the most advanced features known to men. The phone makes your life easier - almost to the point that you think it, and the phone has it. With that phone, you might as well change your name to 007.
Tumblr media
Kalim
When you arrive in your room, you freeze. Your entire room is filled with gift boxes, and Kalim is sitting in the center, grinning.
He didn't know what to get you and ended up getting you everything on the list, from chocolates to jewelry to teddy bears to clothes to handbags to you name it. It will take you about a day or two to open all the gifts. Good luck finding space for everything in your room and closet!
Jamil
Jamil knows from the start that he wants to give you something meaningful. The entire day is supposed to be special, so he doesn't want to give you a present and call it a day.
In the morning, he brings you breakfast that he cooked. Then, gives you a bouquet of flowers. In the afternoon, he hands you a neatly wrapped gift box with a white ribbon tied around it. Inside is traditional wear from Scalding Sands, but the patterns on the apparel are exclusive to his family. Another one indirectly proposes to you. Congrats!
In the evening, he has a candlelight dinner with countless dishes that he prepared himself.

If there was ever one thing Bradley Bradshaw was completely and utterly sure of, it was that he was going to spend the rest of his life by himself. And he was okay with that. He grew up knowing the damage it causes losing the one person you love the most, he saw it first-hand. He saw what his mother had to go through and how difficult it was to be in so much pain but carry on in life. Working, paying the bills, and having the responsibility of a child was challenging enough, but doing all of that whilst grieving was something he could never begin to comprehend. And something he would never want to put someone through.
Nevertheless, he had a great childhood. Living in a small, white beach house along the coast with his mother, he has fond memories of growing up. Baking cakes on Sundays and licking the batter off the spoon, singing corny 80s songs in the car with his mother on the way to school and building model planes with Mav. He had a lot of friends growing up, he was surrounded by love. But Bradley always felt like a part of him was missing. His father.
His mother always told him stories about his father. With Bradley sat across her lap outside on the porch swing, flicking through several photo albums and fiddling with a picture of the three of them when Bradley was born, she would tell him about how they met and fell in love, how much he loved flying with Mav, the family holidays they went on when Bradley was a young child, how Goose nearly passed out when Bradley was born, and how much Goose absolutely adored his son.
At first, Bradley loved hearing these stories, he used to beg his mother to tell him more, but as he entered his early teens, all he felt was anger.
It all started when he woke up one morning to make grab his mother a tea and noticed his father’s favourite mug still at the back of the cupboard, slightly dusty and derelict. He wondered what it was still doing there if no one had been or was going to use it. The next week he was clearing out the attic looking for things to sell so he could save up for the latest CD player when he came across a box with ‘Nick and Carole’ scribbled along its side, filled with old videos, wedding pictures, his mother’s wedding dress and an album entirely dedicated to his father’s journey of being a naval aviator. But underneath all of the memories held in this box were a pair of boots and a khaki uniform.
A few days after finding the box in the attic, he was on his way out to school when his mother noticed his sweater was getting a bit too tight on him and handed him one of his fathers and when he came home, he found a pile of clothes on his bed that he could only assume also belonged to his father. Curiously, Bradley found himself eyeing the pile of shorts and sweaters when a bright yellow caught his eye and he rummaged through the pile, only to pull out the ugliest looking Hawaiian print shirt he’s ever seen.
“Your father loved that shirt. God, you look so much like him Bradley.’ His mother said, standing at the doorway with tear filled eyes.
Bradley lay awake in bed that night hit with an irrepressible amount of emotion, surprised that despite his father passing whilst he was so young, he could remember so much. He thought about the mug, and how his father would drink his coffee from it every day at breakfast, Bradley sat on his knee eating bacon and eggs and his mother ranting about how she doesn’t understand how he could drink black coffee and enjoy it. He remembered waiting on the front porch every day for his father to return home from work and hearing the same uniform he found a week ago, he remembered the sound that those exact boots would make walking up the steps to their home and the joy he felt to see his father. And as Bradley sat up in bed, mind running 100 miles per hour he caught the vibrant shirt hanging on the back of his desk chair and caught the memory of their last family holiday together. The holiday where he built sandcastles with his father, went swimming in the ocean with his mother, it was their final moment of happiness before disaster struck.
For a moment, Bradley smiled with fondness at the thought of his father. But the grief that came after his momentary happiness hit him at full force, like a punch to the gut. He was hit with the realisation that he’d never see his father drink from that mug again, he’d never hear the clunk of those boots walking up the front porch after a long day at work, he’d never see his father wearing his collection of ridiculous Hawaiian shirts again. And at that, he struggled to understand why he was only now beginning to feel this way.
The funny thing with grief is, it never truly goes away. It comes and goes. Sometimes, some days, it’s easier to handle but other days it’s a tough pill to swallow and Bradley was angry at how much time he already lost with his father and how for the rest of his life, there’s always going to be a part of him that’s empty.
So, Bradley spent his teens in a much more reckless way than his mother thought was natural. The late nights, the disobedience, the parties, the girls, coming home high early hours of the morning because he couldn’t face the way he felt.
In all honesty it broke his mother’s heart, and he could see that. It hurt him to hurt her, but there was something that held him back from ever being able to change and truth be told, he was terrified. Maybe it was the fact that it was easier to run away from how he felt rather than face it head on, or maybe it was self-preservation – that if he pushed his mother away then he would hurt less. He felt the burden of being his mother’s only child. Everything she went through whilst having a son to look after as well. And if anything were to happen to his mother, he thought maybe it would be easier to cope. But deep-down Bradley thought that if he followed in his father’s footsteps of joining the Navy, maybe he’d feel that little bit closer to him. Maybe he wouldn’t be so self-destructive. Just maybe, he would make his parents proud.
There are a lot of things Bradley regrets in his life and the way he acted over his teens was one of them. He wanted forgiveness for the amount of time he missed out on because of his incessant need to prove a point he couldn’t even understand until he did. He would be better off alone, forever.
At 18 Bradley lost his mother to a gruelling bout of breast cancer. It was the most difficult thing Bradley had ever gone through in his life. He couldn’t bring himself to admit that she was gone, that he would never see her face again, sing along in the car with her, feel her warm embrace. And to this day, he still remembers the last thing she ever said to him, lying in the hospice where she took her last breath, a long night of waiting ahead of him.
“Bradley, your father loved you so much. I love you so much. Make us proud, my beautiful boy.”
Those were the last words he heard his mother speak, but he could see in her eyes that she forgave him, that every word she’d just said was meant with the truest of intentions and enough love to conquer the world.
After that day, Bradley made it his life’s purpose to serve his country by joining the US navy. His life consisted of his F-18, ready meals, drinks at the Hard Deck and returning home to the barracks – alone. He didn’t fall in love, he never allowed himself to. Sure, he’s had hook-ups in the past, he’d had girls tell him they loved him, but not once had he ever said it back with meaning or said it back at all. He was okay with being alone, because he had no obligations, he wasn’t important to anyone and he was happy with it being that way because he prefers being by himself rather than forcing a love and marriage and kids – pretending to be a person that he isn’t, when he knows it’ll only be temporary.
What is there to lose?
That’s a simple enough question that Bradley thought he knew the answer to. Nothing, he had absolutely nothing to lose. No wife, no children, not even a pet.
But then he met the most beautiful soul and something in him couldn’t quite stay away.
The Hard Deck was always busy on a Friday night, but this one night in particular was jam packed. Celebratory drinks were held for the success of the Uranium Mission and Bradley, though ecstatic that the mission was over, and that he was alive, couldn’t shake the feeling of misery that he felt deep down for realising just how precious life is and how he’s only getting older – and lonelier. He never thought his perspective on how he would spend the rest of his life would change and so he sat at the bar, beer in hand wallowing in self-pity. Downing the rest of his beer, Bradley stood up and slammed some cash on the bar ready to call it a night, about to head off towards the door before colliding against the bar with a thud.
Bradley groaned at the impact, not in the mood to deal with anything else tonight that could worsen the foul mood he was already in.
“Oh my god! I am so sorry. Are you okay?” You screeched, looking up at him with alerted eyes, cheeks flushed a rosy tint – partly out of embarrassment, and partly from the alcohol you’d consumed, meeting up with your friends from work after a busy week.
As soon as he heard your voice, he didn’t need to look down at you to know that you’d be the most beautiful woman he’s ever met in his life. But still, he couldn’t help himself and as his eyes met yours, he immediately knew wanted you. He wanted you in every way possible. Everything already felt so different. Too stunned to speak, and his mind blank, you were perfect to him.
Now, Bradley didn’t believe in fate, and he certainly didn’t believe in love at first sight, at least not until the night he met you. But that all changed so fast, and Bradley found himself sat at the bar with you until closing, drinking beer after beer – misery long forgotten and the beginnings of the most beguiling relationship starting to bloom.
The relationship progressed fast.
You both went on your first date a week later. It was simple, but perfect. Bradley picked you up from your apartment with a bunch of flowers, dressed in his father’s shirt - the same shirt he couldn’t bear to look at when he was younger. You answered the door in a white sundress, hair falling naturally around your shoulders with a bright smile on your face that had Bradley’s heart racing. After having to endure a 10-minute interrogation from your best friend, you followed Bradley out to his Bronco and drove down to the beach where you had a picnic and watched the sunset, lying on your backs next to each other on an old picnic blanket on the sand.
Your face mirrored his own, both of your hearts pounding against your chests, synchronised with one another. Hands shaking and smiling at each other through tight lips, breaths shallow, bodies vibrating. Eyes ablaze with a burning desire, thinking of all of the possibilities, reserved from seeming too eager to admit how both of you felt, feelings reciprocated. But knowing, you were it for each other.
About a month into your relationship with Bradley, one torturous month of being nagged by the squad on when they were going to meet you, but one incredible month spent with you, he took you to the Hard Deck to meet up with his friends for drinks. All was going well, and Bradley felt content in knowing you were already comfortable around the people he considered family.
“Bradshaw! You never told us your girl was that hot.” Hangman stood next to him, handing him the darts, a smirk on his face.
“Shut up Bagman, just because you lack the brain capacity to keep a girl around for more than a week.” Phoenix scoffed, slapping him on the chest before patting Bradley’s arm sympathetically.
Bradley knew to pay no mind to Jake, but as he watched you laughing with Bob and Javy by the bar in a pretty pink sundress, sipping on a cocktail too sweet for him to fathom, he couldn’t help but let the insecurities creep in. He felt like the luckiest man alive to be your boyfriend, and he was proud to call you his girlfriend, but he constantly carried that heavy burden of how he felt about himself with him. Sometimes he could supress it, put on a brave face and everyone sees him as the most confident person in whatever room he’s in. But Bradley could never truly talk about how he felt, every syllable of every word that’s willing its way out of his mouth, pushing his head further underwater – looking in the mirror and seeing the scars along his face and neck, carved into his skin like a malediction, something he was precariously wishing he could remove.
“Hey Roos, you okay?” Bradley didn’t even realise you’d made your way over to him until he heard your voice and felt your hand reach up to smooth over his hair, so transfixed on his inner thoughts.
He hummed, kissing your forearm, and then talking your free hand in his own. Just seeing your face with concern written all over it was enough for his heart to nearly burst out of his chest.
It was well past 1am when the Hard Deck closed for good, and Bradley led you out to his bronco and put your seatbelt on. Before he could move around to the driver’s side, you grabbed his shirt and pulled him in for a sweet kiss. “Thank you for tonight, I had a really nice time with your friends. Even though Jake’s a bit of a dick” Bradley chuckled “I’m glad you had a good time and I’m happy you’re happy. They all love you.” Bradley caught himself on his words after that. He wanted to tell you how much he loved you, how he knew he loved you from the moment he saw you and how he was certain he was going to spend the rest of his life loving you. Neither of you had said it yet, but you often found yourself wanting to say it too. You both drove home in a comfortable silence, Bradley’s hand resting gently on your thigh, the windows slightly ajar and the radio playing quietly but those three words had been hanging in the air, urging to be said the whole ride home.
Bradley parked up outside and you led him into your apartment. You both changed out of your clothes, and you threw on one of Bradleys old UVA shirts that he’d left at your place. “You coming to bed?” Bradley said quietly as he pulled you into a hug and rested his chin on top of your head.
“Yeah, I just need to take of my makeup and stuff.” You said pulling away to head towards the bathroom. “And stuff?” Bradley asked and you giggled. “Yeah, like skincare. Fancy joining me?” You asked and you shrieked when Bradley picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, carrying in you into the bathroom and setting you down on the counter without saying a word. You washed your face and picked up your serums and moisturiser, talking Bradley through your skincare routine whilst he stared at you as if you had grown three heads. Bradley watched you squirt some of the serum onto your hand and rub it all over his face. He closed his eyes and relaxed his shoulders, letting out a deep breath. It was his turn to apply it to your face next and by the end of the routine you were both a giggling mess, breaths heavy with laughter. And in that moment, Bradley forgot about his scars, he forgot about all of his insecurities. He was at his happiest with you, and in that moment, he knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
Still sat on the counter, you pulled Bradley closer and rested your forehead against his looking into his eyes with such a deep admiration for how truly beautiful he was.
“I love you, Bradley.”
And there it was. Those three simple words with the most powerful meaning. Bradley felt as though the air had been knocked from his lungs, winded like the time he fell off the slide in his backyard at six years old.
“Say that again.” Bradley murmured, hands tightening their grip on your waist.
“I love you, Bradley. So much.”
And with that, Bradley smashed his lips onto yours in a bruising kiss.
“Fuck, I love you. I love you.” He repeated, over and over again until you were back in your bedroom. Placing you down on your bed, he covered his body with yours. You moaned into the kiss and gasped as he left a trail of kisses down your neck and chest. He slipped his hand under the hem of your dress and began toying with the waistband of your underwear, when you sucked in a breath, he stopped immediately, brown eyes searching yours for any kind of discomfort.
“Do you want this? We can stop baby I really don’t mind.”
“No, I want this Bradley, I do.” You said and he made light work of pulling off your dress and ridding himself of his shirt and pants before kissing you again, hooking his fingers in your underwear and pulling them down your legs. Bradley teased your clit before sinking one of his digits into your soaked pussy and kissing your hip before taking your sensitive bud into his mouth. “Fuck Bradley.” You moaned, butterflies erupting in your stomach as he squeezed your him in a comforting encouragement. Gripping his hair tightly, your climax quickly approaching you moaned loudly “Oh my god I love you Bradley fuck!”
Coming down from your high, Bradley teased your folds with the head of his cock before slowly pushing himself fully into you and you both moaned. “You feel amazing, sweet girl, I love you.” Bradley moaned against your mouth, intertwining his hand with your own before slowly rocking his hips into your own. You were a mess underneath him, whimpering and whining and Bradley took a moment to admire how beautiful you looked, the moment was so raw, the only light in the room was the dim glow of the moon which illuminating your features.
It was at this moment that Bradley realised that the confessions of love shared that night were terrifying, and they scared him more than anything else he’s ever experienced in his life. The emotions he felt consumed his body like an entity and he knew that the easiest choice he’s ever made in his life was you. Out of all of the women in this world, he didn’t want anyone else as much as he wanted you, he didn’t need anyone else as much as he needed you. You both spent that night wrapped up in each other, bodies tangled between the sheets in a state of completion, reassurance, and love. There was nothing in the world that could ruin such a deep connection.
For the next three months of the relationship, Bradley knew he could see himself spending the rest of his life with you. Moving in together, he wanted to be your new home. He wanted to build a life with you, make four walls and a roof into something so much more than just a place of residence. He dreamt of waking up next to you every morning and falling asleep next to you every night. He wanted to help you cook your favourite foods together and he wanted to clean the dishes. He wanted to argue over where the candles were kept when there’s a storm and the power goes out. He wanted you to fill him with memories of your own, pictures of your graduation, you most treasured trinkets, the spicy books you read that he pokes fun at you for when you get defensive and say that you don’t read just porn, it has to have a plot.
After years of accepting the fact that he’d be alone because he could never have someone else endure the grief, the pain, and the suffering that he watched his mother go through, he met you, and he was irrevocably and deeply consumed by you. He dreamt of the day you had a child of your own together, the beach days, the baking, the singalongs in the car, babyproofing every corner of the house he wanted that. And he so desperately wanted that with you by his side.
And that’s exactly what you both did. You bought a house together along the coast, one that reminded him exactly of the house that he grew up in, with a big porch and a swing that hung just to the left of the front door. You both packed up your lives into those brown moving boxes, messy handwriting scrawled onto the side of each of them.
Unpacking said boxes in the height of summer was a gruelling task, but one that was made much more enjoyable by the presence of each other ands by the end of the day you both collapsed on the porch swing, happy and content in each other’s arms.
“I’ve never felt as happy anywhere else than when I’m with you sweet girl.” Bradley said, nuzzling his head into your hair, treasuring the scent so not to forget it when he inevitably gets deployed.
“This is our forever baby.” You said intertwining your hand with his as you both sat cuddled up with one another listening to the waves of the ocean crashing and making plans for your future.
Two months settled into your new home with Bradley, two months of the rest of your lives. Lives that entailed lazy Sundays, coffees in the morning, walks along the beach, lingering sweet kisses amid pillow talk and making love – and all things perfect. But also lives that weren’t always bright, lives that held bickering, late night fights over pointless things because you both had tough days at work, misunderstandings, and the challenges of balancing busy days. Some days were filled with bright skies and sunshine, other days filled with dark skies and rain. It wasn’t easy, but you had Bradley and Bradley had you. There was calm and there was chaos, but you had each other to navigate your ways through any problem, together.
But sometimes, the best things in life are short lived.
Bradley spent 190 days with the love of his life.
Standing in the Hard Deck with a bunch of flowers, waiting for you to pull up after work, he fiddled with the ring in his free hand and let out a shaky breath. You hadn’t been in a relationship for a very long time, but they say when you know, you know. And Bradley knew. He knew in his heart without a doubt – even if he couldn’t find the right words, he knew that he fell more in love with you every single day. You were his sun, his moon, and his stars. You were his happiness, his best friend, and the kindest soul he had ever met. Sometimes he wondered if he ever told you enough. You never asked anything of him. You loved Bradley for who he was and never in his 36 years on earth did he ever think that somewhere in this world he would’ve found a heart like yours.
Bradley didn’t get the chance to propose. His time with you was cut short by an alcoholic who made the unwise decision to get behind the wheel of a car and take away not one, but two lives that night.
“Bradley!” You wailed from the top of the stairs. Bradley shot up from his seat on the couch and ran up the stairs tripping several times.
“What is it baby? Are you okay?” He asked, hands on his knees trying to catch his breath, not overly concerned when he saw that you were okay.
Looking at him with tears in your eyes, body shaking, and one hand covering your mouth, you raised your other hand to reveal a positive pregnancy test.
“Oh my god, honey, are you – are you sure?” He asked, reaching out to take the test from you to double, triple check.
Nodding your head fervently “I’m absolutely sure, Bradley we’re going to have a baby. Oh god”
Bradley had never been so over the moon. Yes, it was seen as too soon to some, but you couldn’t think of any better blessing, and neither could Bradley. You were both ecstatic and couldn’t wait to start a family together. And that was all taken away from him too soon. He’ll never get to meet his baby. And he wishes, he wishes so hard for the 3am wake up calls for feeds, the dirty diapers, the screaming bloody murder in the middle of the night – all so he can count ten fingers and ten toes, hear that steady heartbeat, and look into the eyes of who he was hoping to be your double. But sometimes life has other plans.
Bradley can’t say he believes he will ever meet another person like you. Someone so full of light even in the darkest of moments. Someone who loved him for him. Someone who would give so much of themselves to others and never complain. Someone who saw the good in everything, saw the good in him.
The one night he’ll remember for the rest of his life, the night you lay in bed together, Bradley’s head resting on your stomach, your hands tracing the patterns of the freckles on his back like a constellation. The two of you dwelling in the afterglow of finding out that you were both going to be bringing a little one of your own into your lives, a mixture of you both, your baby. Bradley was ecstatic but anxious.
“I don’t think I’ll ever understand the good that you see in me” He whispered.
“Bradley, its not the good in you that I see, my love. It’s the good that I see in this world when I’m with you, the good that you make me see.”
If there was ever one thing Bradley Bradshaw was completely and utterly sure of, it was that he was going to spend the rest of his life by himself. He had spent his whole life trying to push away the idea of love because he believed he would be the reason it wouldn’t work out. He had spent his whole life overcome with the grief that came with losing his parents. And he was okay with being alone, until he met you, an angel he believed his parents sent to him, to walk this earth by his side, for however long it was going to be. And despite his time being cut short with you, he had the most extraordinary and captivating experience of understanding what it’s like to love and be loved.

birthday surprises
'Mickey had it all planned. He'd dealt with unnecessary teasing from Lip who after the mocking and whip sound effects agreed to take Ian out for his birthday during the day. A brothers' day he'd put it.
He'd woken Ian up with a blowjob, counting 28 kisses along his snail trail and nuzzling in the coarse hair. He had no shame kissing Ian on the lips as soon as Ian came.
Ian hadn't wanted a fancy breakfast, said he'd rather have lunch or dinner for his birthday. So they made their coffees and took their bowls of cereal to the couch.
After Ian has left to go have lunch with Lip, Mickey gets to work. He pulled up a basic vanilla cake on his phone and took a screenshot of the ingredients he'd need. He could get a boxed cake mix but he kinda wants to see if he has what it takes to actually bake a cake. Maybe if it completely fails he'll resort to it.
He bought the home brand ingredients and then spied a 'happy birthday' banner and threw that into the trolley as well. He could hang it up on the cupboards or something.
Turns out Mickey's pretty good at following directions and the oven doesn't combust, it's a little crispy around the edges but other than that it looks fine. The icing is easy to make, it's assembling that's giving Mickey trouble. He wanted the cake to be done and presented on the bench with the banner hanging up.
It keeps toppling over and Mickey has chocolate icing all over his apron - yeah he's wearing a fucking apron, sue him - and he had to take off his wedding ring so it wouldn't get lost or dirty. The knife is doing shit all at spreading the icing and Mickey's almost ready to give up when he hears the banner start falling behind him. He audibly groans and takes a sip of his second coffee of the day.
He's nearly finished when he hears the door open and close. Ian's voice echoes down the hallway and then he's in the doorway looking completely surprised.
"Wow" Ian steps fully into the kitchen "You made me a cake?"
“Was meant to be a surprise” Mickey mumbles as Ian makes his way over to stand next to him. He feels himself being pulled into Ian’s chest and given a tight hug. He was never a hugging type of person before he met Ian. But he really likes them.
“I am surprised”
“Yeah?” Mickey asks
“Yeah” Ian smiles “And a banner! Wow, is this why you wanted me out of the house on my birthday?”
“Lip was being a prick about it” Mickey says “Like always”
“You’re so good at surprises” Ian presses his lips against Mickey’s head “Anymore up your sleeve?”
“Oh one or two” Mickey smiles back “Now leave me alone and pretend to be surprised when it’s finished”

What Hazbin Hotel Characters Are Doing In A CVS
Charlie - She's buying get well soon cards and Honey Nut Cheerios and she stops to wave and say hi to every. Single. Person. In the aisles. It's sweet but it also gets really annoying after a while. But you.... good intentions and all that
Vaggie - Stocking up for the apocalypse- canned soup, toilet paper, 100 boxes of Band-Aids, the works. She gets a lot of weird looks at the checkout aisle but she doesn't really care.
Angel Dust - He's buying makeup. In fact, he's become notorious at his local CVS for buying all the bright pink lipstick and eyeshadow. Although, he spends a lot more time at CVS than your average makeup lover...
Husk - He works at the CVS. Angel Dust only ever seems to show up on the days that he has a shift and for some reason, it always seems to be him going to help Angel in the makeup aisle. This went on for almost 2 years until one day Husk snapped and demanded to know why Angel was so goddamn obsessed with him. Eighteen months later, they're picking out the icing flowers for their wedding cake.
Lucifer - He is the CEO of CVS, the "big boss of hell himself".
Alastor - He is the CEO of Target and Lucifer's biggest rival.
Lute - She has been to CVS exactly twice in her life. Once was when she was six years old. She threw a tantrum within five seconds and was quickly ushered out of the store. The second time was thirteen years later and this was Adam's idea of a date. It was a blind date organized by their families because Lute had a shitty family trying to keep her in the closet. After that, she never entered a CVS again.
Adam - Adam is banned from CVS for screaming fuck in front of toddlers every time he goes to CVS. Lucifer has mailed his picture to every CVS and it must be tacked to the front door with the caption 'PERMISSION TO KILL IF HE ATTEMPTS TO ENTER'. There are theories that perhaps this rivalry is more personal than customer-service related...
Cherri - Cherri buys one thing from CVS and that is hairpins. Because they're the one weapon she can buy on discount AND sneak into Broadway theaters!
Sir Pentious - He loves Halloween candy, but he hates the holiday for a reason he tells not a soul. So he always buys those discount candies the day after Halloween and CVS loves him for it.

Little Lad
Synopsis: One where Harry has to take care of his baby on his own for the first time
More of my work
Tumblr media
Little Emir was just nine months old and already a big mama's boy.
Harry was very jealous of that really, both ways, that little stole away his wife, and he clearly loves his mum more. But he also cherishes that, seeing his bany have such and amazing relationship with his Mummy already.
YN owned one of the most busy and known Bakery Cafe in the city, which meant her being busy with work most of the time though she still made time for her family. She had a last minute client come in with a huge wedding cake request, which her and her team of course did not deny. But that meant she sad to spend all night at bakery to het the order ready. His anxiety started to settle in when she called in after lunch to tell him she will home very late.
Harry can get through this, right?
He have been on a break since he wife was eight months pregnant. He has been there tending to his little lad along with bis wife. But god did he not except for a full breakdown from his nine month old boy.
All day Harry spent his time, cleaning up after the little boy. It seemed this much when he'd gotten so used to help of his wife. The laundry was a hassle. Washing up the poopy diaper and tiny clothes without anyone by his side.
He had Emir sat by the side on a little blanket with his toys to keep him busy as he did the laundry and dishes for the day. Hearing his little baby talk.
"What are you doing?" He asked, watching his lad be all fascinated by this new toy his mum got him, wood measuring spoons which he could chew on too. He threw it across the room, bunch of spoons went straight to the electronic appliances and started crawling his way to the toy. Harry didn't understand his play time one bit. "No, don't go there!" He picked him back up and fetched his toys.
But is Emir going to listen? He's a little baby!
It happened once, twice, thrice. Harry gave up and moved up all the appliances on the counter. Did it make a huge mess in the kitchen? Yes! At least his little boy isn't going to hurt himself.
There were house chores he had to get all done so his wife can come home and rest after working for hours and hours straight. Being a pastry chef is hard enough. He just wanted to help but he couldn't when he has a baby who is full of energy and adrenaline being introduced to his new toys this week.
Emir takes up after him for that, he would agree.
Harry's the same whilst on stage performing to his fans.
But this was exhausting for him to do everything on his own, plus his anxiety was doing nothing but add fuel to the fire. The boy kept running into things or getting himself stuck in things. He never noticed how easy it is to have another person around to help. It's usually him and his wife doing all the mundane things together, it is easy that way as there is always someone with a baby who had just learned to crawl. And he's a quick crawler.
Harry was becoming more and more tired having to run around after him, or calm him down after very fifteen minutes when he'd go to wash some dishes or get the laundry all sorted, or get the cats fed and clean up their litter boxes. Or when he prepared for dinner for himself and the boy.
Emir had a nappy burst when Harry thought he had gotten five minutes to sit down and breathe. The bath time was traumatising, with Emir screaming and crying for no reason. That's when Harry realised it was long after his nap time and he was sleepy and tired and hungry as well.
"It's okay my love, Papa's here for you." He assured his little boy after he had calmed himself down, which wasn't for more than three minutes. "I love you." Harry wiped his teary eyes with the pads of his thumbs, wrapped him up in a towel burrito before taking him to the master bedroom. He got the little lad dressed in his sleep onesie and brought him downstairs.
"I'm so sorry, Papa is having a hard time with your Mumma gone." He shared as he had him settled into his highchair, "I'm trying my very best, I promise." He felt bad.
Seeing Emir's tired eyes teary, as he was almost dozing off to sleep without having been eaten, it was his fault that he couldn't look after his son when his wife is stuck at work. Only if he could keep track of time properly and have fed him first than getting distracted by cooking and cleaning and doing the laundry. He felt a heavy pit in his stomach of guilt.
"Come on, Emir eat up then we can go to bed." Harry was feeding the little boy his dinner. He was all strapped up in his high chair, busy playing babbling and smacking his hands on the table still tired and worm out to the fullest.
"Mumma-mumma-mumma." He started his squealing. He learned to call both his parents recently.
"Mummy is working, my baby," Harry talked to him, "is that good?" He cooed watching him take a bite of the little rice porridge he made from YN's mum's recipe. "I know it's not as good as your mum makes it, but we can make it due."
His phone started ringing, "oh look, it's your mummy!" Harry answered the face time call from YN and perched up his phone against Emir's water bottle.
"Hello boys!" YN chirped. Harry saw she was kneading some pink fondant. "Are my lads doing lad things that lads do cause lads are cool?" Harry laughed at that.
"Mamma!" Emir squealed.
"Hello my love, are you eating your dinner?" YN said.
"I don't know how you do this." Harry spoke up.
"What?"
"Feed him, he's so wiggly!" Harry exclaimed trying to give Emir another little spoon full of food. "See! This is why I took up on bottle feeding." YN just laughed. Harry's very afraid to spoon feed him because he's afraid that the metal cutlery is going to hurt his boy somehow. He loves to sit with his with a bottle of milk or formula, that's a good bonding activity as well.
"I probably sound like a horrible person, but — Emir come on, darling!" Harry was close to having a breakdown.
"Harry, it's okay, love. You're doing good he just looks a bit tired." He watched her take her phone and head out of the kitchen telling her employees what to do next whilst she talked for a minute on the call. "It's okay!"
"I don't know, I've been anxious all day." He shared, "you do it all so flawlessly."
Honestly she doesn't. He had seen her make mistakes too but she knows how to quickly move on and fix her mistakes. He didn't know how she does that, really. He reckons it's because she lived with her older brother who's got three kids here in London until she married. She always talked about baby sitting the babies when her brother and his wife would go out, for work or whatever it was.
"And that's okay, okay?" She assured him, "I am so sorry I can't come back home right now. You're already doing so good."
"I hope so, he hasn't eaten anything, I forgot to put him down for a nap earlier as I got caught up with the chores." Harry pouted still trying his best to have his little boy fed. "What do I do!?"
"Harry, look at me," she demanded so he did, "play with him for a bit and then try again. If that doesn't work then give him some formula."
"Okay." He nodded. Emir knocked off the bowl of rice, spilling it all over himself. "Oh god, I'm gonna cry!"
The little boy started laughing finding it humourous.
"Yeah, you find it funny huh?" Harry scoffed. Can he be mad at that adorable face? He placed a kiss on his boy's head.
"Anyway, Harry I'll be home after midnight so please don't wait up for me okay?" YN shared.
"Do you have too much work?" Harry looked concerned looking at his tired wife. Yeah, she hasn't been working that much since Emir's birth, but the breast feeding and everything which comes post delivery was taking a toll on her, physically. He hated to see that. He felt bad to even ask that question.
"No, almost done here." She shared, looking down at her work station, "just a handful of things to sort out then, Jay and Kat will be delivering the cake tomorrow at the venue."
"Okay, drive home, yeah?"
"Mhmm, I will." She nodded, "please don't be hard on yourself. Give him some formula and he'll be off to sleep."
"Yeah. I love you."
"I love you too!" YN blew a kiss each to both her boys before she hung up.
"You're a proper lad, aren't you?" Harry sighed and scooped up his son out of his highchair carefully. "Being so rowdy today."
Emir just laughed and shied away, hiding in his dad's chest. Harry chuckled and brought him in the kitchen with him, propping the baby on his hip he made a bottle of formula. "Let's go lounge on the sofa, hmm?"
Harry got comfy with his baby on the sofa, draping the fluffy throw on the boy to keep him warm. Emir just lied on his chest having his meal all sleepy yet it didn't seem like he wanted to sleep.
"Mumma!" He squealed looking at his dad.
"No, baby I'm Papa." Harey laughed. "Can you say Papa?"
"Papa!" He squealed again.
"Yay!" Harry celebrated, pressing sloppy kisses on his chubby cheeks. "I'm really sorry, my love. I was having a bad day today." He felt guilty for having him wait up for dinner. "I hope you aren't mad at me. Mumma is a really good help, isn't she? But she's stuck at work today. I know we shouldn't rely on her but this was the first time were together, isn't it? We had a lads day in today. Well, more like you had a proper lad day. Where did you get all the energy from, hmm?"
Emir just sighed dramatically, resting his head back on his dad's chest. All snuggled up he was starting to fall asleep.
Harry adores his little boy. He worried the day he was born because he didn't had that love-at-first-sight connection with him. It took him time to learn about him. His little boy was a new human and he felt like he needed to get to know him first, but there was no doubt he would protect the little bundle of joy with his life. It took some time to make peace with it all, that it was okay to feel that way.
Now they're both inseparable. Even though Emir is more of his Mumma's boy, he still manages to have fun with his Papa.
Today just added to that all that guilt for him.
The next thing Harry knew was feeling gentle taps on his arm. "Harry, do you wanna go sleep in our bed?" It was his wife he found when he finally opened his eyes and found his boy missing.
"Where did Emir go?" He panicked.
"I put him in his cot." She shared, "do you wanna go upstairs and get comfortable?"
"Yeah, sorry I fell asleep here." He sighed, "when did you get back?"
"Just fifteen minutes ago."
"Hmm, let's go upstairs and sleep. I am so tired." He got up to follow after her, "did you manage to get the order done?"
"Yeah, we did." She yawned making him giggle, "sorry I'm very tired."
"So am I, love." He draped his arm around her waist, tuck her closer to him.
"How did your day go?"
"Oh, don't ask!" He sighed dramatically. "I still feel bad, you know." He was walking straight to bed giving her space to go get ready to join him but, she stopped him.
"It's okay, Harry." She cooed, "come sit here. Please?"
"Come on." He walked her to their bed.
"You don't have to feel bad, okay? I know you tried your best, he knows you did." She assured him, stood in between his thighs to hug him.
"But I don't know if he ate properly." His voice was low as he sniffled, his face buried in her chest. "I got so distracted."
"Harry he's a baby, he'll wake us up if he's hungry." She said, running her fingers through his hair, "you know it's okay to make mistakes I'm sure he isn't even going to remember anything in the morning. We'll do one thing, let's bring him over to sleep in our bed tonight, yeah?"
Harry doesn't like that. He'd insisted on sleep training their baby since he turned six months old, but he agreed today.
"Yeah!" He nodded.
"Harry? You're crying?" She cooed and bent down to look at him. "It's okay, I promise."
"I, I know. I just can't help it." He chuckled sheepishly. YN smiled and wiped away his tears with her sweater paws, press a few sloppy kisses on his either of cheeks.
"I brought made your favourite cake pops." She reminded him, "kept them away in the fridge for you."
"You did?" His face lit up instantly.
"Mhmm." She nodded, "the ones with chocolate cake and coffee butter cream."
"Oh I love you so much!" With his arms wrapped around her middle he pulled her down, flipping them over he buried her down in the mattress.
"Oh my..." She laughed, "I should have told you that earlier."
"Yeah!" He agreed. "You should have!" Lifting his head up from her neck to look at her, he pressed sloppy wet kisses all over her face.
"Now don't go eat them all cuz I used a lot of coffee in it." She explained, "you won't be sleeping tonight then."
"I'll go bring our little lad in then, leave you to relax and do your skincare and stuff." He gave her another peck on the mouth before he lifted himself off her.
"Mhmm."
When YN returned from taking a shower and doing her skincare, he found her boy fast asleep. Emir lied on his side in the middle spooning his small teddy tucked under his arms. Harry lied just behind him with his hand rested on his little tummy.

Blog MASTERLIST - All I Need MASTERLIST
Thinking about it…
Matty took the middle-sized box from the back of his drawer. It took a lot of old memories back. Thinking about his time before having the kids or meeting Y/n felt surreal.
After moving a few pieces his hand landed on the even smaller box it was strategically hidden so if Y/n snooped there —not that she ever went through his stuff but just in case– she couldn’t find it.
Matty felt a wave of sadness overtaking him, so he had to sit on his bed. His Nana was –literally– imprinted on his skin, although, he thought about her even now and then. He had been doing it a lot more since, specially Amelia, the kids started asking about his mother’s parents as well as his father’s parents. Mel was learning about families at school, and she was a very curious little girl. Matty loved to have full conversations with her and Arthur at the moment. They did talk about his Nana a lot of times.
The singer slowly opened the box, revealing before his eyes the silver band. Carefully he took it out to examinate it. She passed it down to him before getting really ill. Matty considered it a treasure. It wasn’t exactly a ring designed to propose marriage, although he wanted to give Y/n something special, something meaningful, since she was indeed the most amazing person he had ever met and also the person that gave him two amazing children.
“Daddy?” Amelia interrupted him, showing up at the door of his room. Matty’s heart jumped, thinking –at first–she was Y/n. He closed his eyes, trying to stabilize his breathing.
“Mel-mel?” he asked, keeping his back towards her.
Amelia opened the door fully, staring at her dad’s form. “What do you have there? Chocolate?” she asked, excited about the idea of candy.
Matty chuckled, “No,” he turned around, still keeping the ring away from her eyes. “No chocolate, missy.” he smiled at her turning slightly.
“What then?”
Matty doubted about it for a minute, finally agreeing with himself to share the secret with her, “come here, baby.” he instructed, moving his hand signalling her to come closer. “Leave the door half open, please.”
Amelia did as she was told, moving to sit beside her dad on the bed.
“Look.” he opened his hand, showing the ring resting on his palm. Amelia looked at it and then up to his face, Matty saw the doubt in her eyes. “This was my Nana’s ring.”
“Oh!” Amelia exclaimed, opening her eyes wide. “Can I…” she started asking.
“Yes, be careful, okay?” Matty warned Mel.
Amelia kept silence, holding the silver band between her tinny hands. Her curious eyes following the complicated patterns along it.  “What are these?” she inquired, her sight not leaving the ring. “Are flowers?”
“Yes, closer to roses but not exactly.”
“So pretty.” she exclaimed in a whisper. Mel carefully extended her hand, retuning the ring to his dad. “Can I have it?” she asked, making him chuckled.
“No.‘Cause…” Matty started slowly. “I want to give it to your mom.” he smirked, thinking about Y/n wearing it.
“As a gift?”
“No exactly, baby.” he let his left arm engulfed her. Together they stared at the little item in front of them. “I want to ask mommy to marry me.”
“Why?” her question so genuine to her nature.
“Because I love her, and I want to spend my entire life with her.”
“Ok.”
“What? Don’t you think it is a good idea?” Amelia shrugged her arms. “Do you know that at weddings, people serve cake?”
“Chocolate cake?” Mel jumped in her place.
“We can choose chocolate cake.”
“When are you going to ask mommy then?”
“I’m not sure, baby.”
“Matty?” Y/n called from downstairs, scaring father and child.
“Shit- You haven’t heard that!” Amelia laughed. “Don’t tell mom.” he begged, going to hide the box. “What?” he shouted louder so Y/n could hear him
“Can you tidy the kitchen as you promised?”
“Coming, my love.” he answered. “Not a word to anyone, Mel.” he took her little hand between his hands.
Amelia made a signal sipping her mouth.
“I love you.” Matty left a kiss on her head.
“Love you, daddy.”
***************************************
The actual proposal…
Matty was about to rip his hair off trying to think the perfect proposal for Y/n.
Fancy dinner out? Not an option, she would leave him for that.
Anything remotely big and scandalous? Not a chance.
Okay, simple then, but when? Where?
He didn’t want to start asking his friends or family because they’d know what was happening, and Matty wanted to keep it a secret until he actually bent his knee.
Matty continued debating herself in silence, waiting for Y/n to come from upstairs. It was her ‘bedtime’ turn that night.
“Matty?” Y/n snapped her fingers in front of his eyes, startling him back to the present moment.
“What?”
“What?” she asked back, placing her hands on her waist, standing in front of him. “You weren’t listening to me!”
Matty opened and closed his eyes quickly. “I’m sorry, baby.” he brushed off her hands softly, replacing her hands with his around her waist. He brought her closer, hiding his face on her belly. Y/n softened with his actions, letting her fingers comb his wild curls.
“What’s going on, huh?” she wanted to know. Y/n’s boyfriend stayed in silence. “Shit…tell me this is not a new drama.” Y/n leaned backwards, searching for his face.
“No, no…” Matty shook his head. “Nothing like that.”
“Then what?” Y/n insisted.
Matty looked up to her eyes, “Can’t tell you.”
“Why you can’t?” she stared back, a little hurt.
“I-”
“The band?”
“No.”
“The label.”
“No.”
“Matty, you’re scaring me.”
“‘s nothing wrong. I- Shit- I was, I’m…” he was making little sense.
“Matty, please. Something is clearly bothering you….you’ve been like this for weeks. I tried not to think too much about it, but I’m really worried. Do you want to leave me?”
“Of course not, Y/n! Why would you think that?”
“I don’t know. You’re not speaking to me…and I-”
“Fuck, okay. I’ll tell you, but I need to get something really quick.”
“Are you going out?” Matty stood from the couch.
“No. Just upstairs, okay?” Matty said before pecking her lips and disappearing.
Y/n lay down against the cushions, thinking about all the possibilities, but Matty ran back minutes after, interrupting her train of thoughts.
“I’m back.” Matty announced, staring at her eyes closed. “Baby?”
“Yes.” Y/n turned her head slightly to look at him.
She noticed his hands were hidden behind his back.
“Okay, this is it.” he whispered to himself. “Remember how I always tell you that since the first moment we meet I’ve been in love with you?” this time he talked to Y/n.
“Yes?” she said, sceptical. “What have you done?” folding her arms, ready for him to say, he had broke something or let the kids do something they weren't supposed to.
“I’ll do it the rest of my life,” he continued with his speech. “Although, I want to do it at your side. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and the kids.”
“Yes, that’s my plan too, Matty. What are you on about?” Y/n pushed her body forward, invested in the conversation.
“Shit- This is coming all out wrong…maybe I should've written a song…”
“Matthew!” Y/n snapped him out of his spiral of anxiety.
“Right, right. Fuck.” Matty approached her, showing her his hands holding the little box.
“What do you have there?”
Matty sank into his knees, making Y/n gasped.
“Matty?”
“Do you want to marry me, Y/n Y/l/n?” Matty inquired, opening the box.
Y/n placed her hands on top of Matty’s.
“Yes. Of course, yes!” she answered to his question, taking the box, crying in the process.
Together they opened the little item.
“I know it doesn’t scream engagement ring, but this was my Nana’s ring.” Matty took it out.
“Baby…”
“I want you to have it.” Matty stated, placing the ring on her ring finger.
“Fuck, Healy.”
“Not the response I’d been picturing inside my mind but-”
“Shut up!” Y/n stopped his teasing. “I love you so much, Matthew Timothy Healy.” she said, taking his face, bringing it closer to hers.
“Now this feels like I’m in trouble.”
“Oh, you’re in so much trouble, mister.” Y/n said before kissing him.
—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One month after the proposal
By that time, everyone inside their close circle was aware of the wedding happening as soon as possible.
That specific day, Matty was in the house’s studio working, and the kids were with his brother, Louis. Grace and Y/n were looking at venues, flowers, and all kind of things for the wedding. Matty walked away from them an hour before, saying he had to work or either the boys would kick him out of the band or something dramatic. He wanted to be there for every detail and not pressure Y/n with everything, it was their wedding at the end. Y/n tried to reassure him it was okay, but it was hard to convince the stubborn singer.
Grace and Y/n were staring directly at the screen researching about wine, when Y/n started to feel dizzy. She blamed the long hours they had been spent watching stuff in her computer. Y/n tried hard to fight it, but it didn’t go away.
“Fuck.” she closed her eyes, trying to stabilize herself.
“What?” Grace asked, worried.
“My head is spinning.”
“Okay, that’s our cue to stop for now.”
“No, I-”
“Nah, to the couch…now!”
Y/n did as Grace told her. She didn’t spend five minutes there when a new wave of sickness surprised her. Y/n ran to the bathroom, with Grace following close behind.
When she stopped puking, Grace stared at her eyes without saying a word but with a knowing look.
“What?” Y/n said.
“Nothing, memories.”
Y/n rested her back into the cold wall, closing her eyes she asked, “Which ones?”
“Nothing comes to mind?” and Y/n knew what Grace was thinking.
“Shut up, Grace. It’s impossible.”
“Yeah, you said the same last time…” Y/n’s friend exposed her. “and the time before that one.”
“No, I can’t. The wedding is a few months away.”
Matty walked inside the bathroom after hearing the loud bickering, finding them sitting there. “What’s wrong?” he asked, looking between them, focusing on Y/n’s pale face.
“Y/n’s puking.” Grace accused her.
“Thanks a lot, Grace.”
“Are you okay, baby?” Matty sat beside his girlfriend
“Mhm, I’m afraid we have to postpone the wedding, Matty.” Y/n looked into his eyes, weakly.
“What? Don’t you-”
She interrupted before he could think more options.“I think I’m pregnant again.”
“What?”
“Be right back, guys.” Grace exited the house with the plan of buying pregnancy tests for her friend.
“How sure are you?” Matty stoked her hair back.
“Pretty sure now.” Y/n admitted. “My period had been missing for weeks”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Thought it was a false alarm.”
“Y/n…”
She scrunched her face, “I’m really dizzy to think about this.” Matty chuckled, touching her flat belly.
“Okay. Let’s wait for Grace then.” he said to them both, touching Y/n face, caressing her sweetly.
***********
All positive tests. Matty, Y/n and Grace stood inside the small bathroom looking at the sticks on the sink.
“Okay, this gives us enough time to find the wine the ratty wants.” Grace said.
“Grace.” Y/n warned her.
Meanwhile, Matty finally took in the idea of a 3rd baby. “Love…” he whispered, embracing Y/n.
“I know.” Y/n couldn’t help to start crying. “I can’t believe it.”
“Another baby.”
“Can I be the godmother?” Grace interrupted.
“Course not.” Matty cut her, kissing Y/n shortly.
Y/n stared instantly down at her belly when Matty placed a hand securely on her –still– flat belly.
Another baby.
—-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Two years later…
As soon as Ruth was old enough to attend and participate in her parent's wedding, Matty and Y/n finally decided the closest date to finally marry. To say that everyone cheered more than the first time they found out speaks for itself.
The night before the big day
“I miss you.” Matty said from the other end of the line.
Y/n hold the blankets of her hotel room higher to cuddle inside. “Haven’t enjoyed your bachelors party?” she inquired, teasing him a little.
“Yes, but I was ready to get in bed with my future wife.”
“Who would’ve thought the big rock star of the century…the problematic…”
“I’m not that any more, I don’t want to either. I need you, inside our bed, in our house with the babies.”
“I do miss them so much.” Y/n admitted
Matty protested, “No me, then?”
“Yes, I miss you a lot, handsome…but I miss my babies too.”
“I’m your first baby.”
“No, Mel is.” Matty scoffed, keeping the teasing going.
“I can’t wait for tomorrow.” Y/n changed the direction of the conversation.
“Me too.”
“What if we go and get married right now?” Matty blurbed out the idea.
“Matty, we’ve been waiting years…it’s only a few more hours.”
“I know, I know...but-”
“Sleep, now, Healy.” Y/n instructed. “Can you keep the line going until I feel asleep?”
“Everything for you, wifey.”
“Almost.”
“I don’t need papers.” Matty remind her.
Y/n rolled her eyes, even when he couldn’t see her. “Shut up.”
“I love you.”
“I love you so much, my dear.”
Matty kept rumbling about a quick wedding, until the rhythmic breathing from Y/n side reached his ear, which made him smile a little.
Wedding day
The grooms room
“Looking dashing as always, Archie!” Ross complimented him.
“Thanks ‘os.” the little boy giggled due to his godfather’s words.
Matty walked out from the bathroom, asking right away, “How much longer?” to Adam.
“One hour, mate.” the guitarist said for the hundred time in only twenty minutes.
“Fuck.” he swore and right away heard an ‘oh’ coming from his son. “Sorry! Don’t tell mom.”
“Fuck.” Arthur repeated, making the entire room laugh.
Matty realized his mistake, adding a “Shit.”
Encouraged by the room, Archie copied again his father’s words, “Shit.”
The room bursted into a group laugh, although before Matty could protest or add another word he wasn’t supposed to say in front of the kids, his mother came through the room’s door.
“Where’s my son?” Denise asked the room.
Being the closer in distance to her, Louis pointed out to Matty’s form standing closer to a window. “Over there.” Louis
“How’s he?”
Ross joined the conversation, “He’s very anxious.”
“Do you know that I can still hear you?” Matty reminded them in an exasperated voice.
“What’s wrong Matty?” Denise approached him, sensing his nerves.
Matty breathed out, “I need to see her. This is worse than being miles way from home. She’s right there.” he pointed with his hand to the other room.
“It’s just one hour.” Denise rearranged his tie, patting his chest.
“I know but-”
“What’s an hour compared to the rest of your life, Matthew?” his mother spoke the right words. The words he needed to hear right there and then.
“Right, right.”
The brides room
Y/n stepped outside the separated room, walking towards her mother, Grace, Denise, and the rest of the bridesmaids. The reaction was unanimous, a general gasp travelled around the room.
Y/n waited for someone to speak, but the room fell into an intense silence, until Mel stepped towards her mother.
“Mommy, you look really beautiful.” she said, looking up at her eyes. Y/n held the strong urge to burst into tears.
“Thank you, my love.”
“You look amazing, Y/n.” Grace approached her, holding Ruth in her arms. “Marry me instead?”
Y/n rolled her eyes, breaking some tension on her body. “Shut up, Grace.”
Denise and Y/n’s mother shared a couple of tears and a few tissues before approaching the bride.
Little bit after, the photographer urged Y/n and all women inside the room to exit the room so they can take pictures before the sun disappeared completely.
The moment was closer and closer.
The ceremony
Matty turned around when the melody –him and G worked for ages to marvelled it for that exact moment– reached his ears. The presents stayed sited, meanwhile Amelia showed up at the end of the long aisle holding on one hand the box with her parent’s. Amelia stood for a few seconds –waiting for the time of the song, she was supposed to start walking–, sporting a dress similar to the bridesmaids one but with a different style. She kept Ruth closer to her left side, holding her tiny hand, and on her other side Arthur fixed his eyes on her older sister, waiting for her to start the march.
When the beat was right, Mel started making her way towards Matty and Ross, who officiated as the chief of ceremony. Ruth and Arthur tried their best to follow her.
Matty didn’t wait a second to approached his children when they were a few meters away from him.
“Hi, guys.” he kneeled down, forgetting the surroundings.
A chorus of shy hellos reached Matty’s ears, making him incredible emotional.
“Do you have something for me, mel-mel?” the singer asked, forcing Amelia to look up at him while she extended the box, nodding repeatedly. “Thank you, baby.”
“You’re welcome, daddy.”
Matty took a look to each one of their faces, until he broke, saying, “come here.” embracing the three children into a thigh hug.
“Go with grandma, okay?” he encouraged them and they obeyed.
After the children stood beside Denise and Susanne, Matty returned to his place on the altar, surrounded by the flowers Y/n and him picked for it. He rearranged his tie and his blazer, sensing how Ross placed a comforting hand on his shoulder while the bridesmaids and grooms men walked to their places. George and Charli threw him a knowing look and smiles, meanwhile Grace showed him her tongue in a cheeky action that made him laugh out loud.
The music changed its tempo and Matty knew it was the time. As if time stopped, he watched Y/n walked down the aisle with her arm hocked on Adam’s bicep. She had asked him if he would do the honour since his father wasn’t there to do it, and he said yes right away. The presents stood up, wanting to look at the gorgeous bride.
Matty realized he was crying when he heard Ruth cry. He turned a minute away from Y/n to check she was alright, which his future wife copied. The little girl distress was a reaction to see him cry. Denise made a weird sign around her face, but he understood and dried them quickly. Ruth was too young to understand those were happy tears.
Matty stepped down the altar, coming closer to Y/n and Adam. He kept his eyes on Y/n, smiling at her, until Adam patted his back.
“Take care of her, or I’ll kick your ass. You know that we like her and the kids more than you.” Adam teased him, maintaining a sterned look on his face.
“I know, I will. I promise.”
“All the best, guys.” the guitarist said, after hugging Y/n for half a second.
“Thanks, Adam.”
“Thanks, mate.”
Once Adam was gone, Matty took her hands on his. He sensed her body trembling.
“You look amazing, my love.”
“Not more than you, handsome.”
“Shall we?”
“Please.”
*****************
The ceremony was short.  Ross started saying a few sweet words and embarrassing them both to lighten the mood. The breeze brushed against the flowers, making them dance all around them and turning the evening into a magic one.
“Who wants to start saying their vows?”
“Me!” Y/n shouted, making the crowd laugh.
“Ladies first.”
“Only because I know they aren’t as good as yours, since you do this for a living.” Y/n admitted, reaching for the paper that Grace extended for her. “Okay, Matthew...Matty, my love.”
“Yes, dear.”
“Shut up and listen.” Matty did as he was told, holding a belly laugh, while friends and family reacted as expected. “I think it’s important that I start telling you that I love you, Matty Healy. Maybe it didn’t happen right since the very first start, but I don’t care. We don’t believe in the tales we used to read or watch when we were children about the perfect story.
“Ours was a mess, and I’ll do it all again if this is the end. You and I together against everything, and with our babies very close to us. I love you, Matty. I love every single part of you…I want to continue until the end of our days and so beyond holding your hand, loving you daily. Even though, I hate when you wake me up every time an idea for a melody or half of a lyric pops into your curly head, I won’t change it for anything in this world. The way you are as a partner and as a father to our children is a part not everyone gets to witness, and I wish I’ll be always there to do it.”
“Thanks for never stop fighting for us even in the hardest moments and for holding me every time that I’ve needed it. I love you, Matty.”
“Okay.” Ross interrupted before Matty could say a word or hold Y/n further than just her hand. “Your turn, mate.”
Matty dried his tears for a second time that night. “You left me speechless, baby. As always…” he talked directly into her eyes. “What I can tell you that you don’t know, Y/n? You know me better than anyone, sometimes you know me better than myself, and that’s a lot. What I can tell you that I haven’t put into the songs I write thinking about you and that are for you?”
“You came into my life to change it completely, baby. I fell hard and bad for you…my heart didn’t stand a chance, how would it? Y/n, you’re the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me beside the guys and our kids…our babies, as you said…you gave me the honour to be their father, to grow a family. Before you, I thought I was incapable of it…and so much more. I know you don’t like to hear this, but you made me a better man and a better person. Without you, nothing has meaning, my love. Without you beside me, telling me that you love me, I don’t know how to live. So please, make me lucky for the rest of my poor existence and say yes…yes to take me as your husband, yes to love me forever, yes to the bright future we have in front of us…that’s all I need to hear, Y/n.”
****
Ross started asking Matty, "Matthew Timothy, do you take this woman to be your wife, to live
together in matrimony, to love her, to honour her, to comfort her, and to keep her
in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." Matty stated, smiling while holding Y/n’s hands.
The bassist turned to look at Y/n, "Y/f/n Y/s/n, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honour him, to comfort him, and to keep
him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"
Y/n said, "I do."
“Now, Matty.” Ross continued the ceremony. "Repeat after me."
"I, Matthew,”
“I, Matthew,”
“take you Y/n, to be my wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part."
So Matty repeated staring into Y/n eyes. They maintained the eye contact until Y/n took her turn to repeat the words Ross said.
“Matty.” his friend interrupted, taking his attention, offering the little box Amelia brought. “Place the ring on Y/n's finger and to repeat the following, I give you this ring as a token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love."
Matty spoke out loud for everyone to hear his words, placing the ring on Y/n fingers with all the delicacy. Ross urged Y/n to copy Matty’s actions on the other way. Y/n caressed her husband’s hand slightly. That was it.
Ross said, "By virtue of the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." he finished turning to Matty’s face, saying,  "You may kiss the bride."
“Fucking finally!” Matty protested, embracing Y/n into a thigh hug while his lips met hers into a loving kiss that sealed the pact forever.

So, I was sitting here thinking about Victor and Yuuri's wedding, as you do, when it occurred to me. That damned stripper pole is gonna make an appearance. I know it is. I see it. In my mind. Dose Chris carry that thing around like he's a secret BO staff fighter and he will dance off to save the world? This boy is a bard. He's a sexy dance bard. Bet he can stomp in 6 inch heals.
Anyway, that's not the point.
The point is, Otabek will not be caught dead doing that. 1: flexibility is not his strong suit and he knows it. Let others have their fun He's just be in the background contemplating the physics of it. 2: That is something he will *never* be suckered into because he knows they take photos. Nope. Big Nope.
But what he will do, as requested, is DJ the dance floor for the after party. Which means Yuri will not get to dance with him. Which is sad. EXCEPT. My head did a thing.
See, Otabek would totally be that one completely responsible, fire putting out, fixes stuff by walking thrugh a room and just correcting it person every wedding has. Even if all he does is direct the right person where they need to go so they can put out said fire. Takes a team, but the observant notice where they need to be. (I have been to so many weddings and I am telling you there is always ONE person who makes it all better by existing and OnE pErSoN who fucks it by by breathing.)
And like, I got so many head cannons about this. See, he wears a cravat, proper, for his competitions. Guess who's being tasked (along with Chris) to deal with people who cannot tie ties. Basic will not do. We're talking Fancy Tied Ties. FANCY. Yes, both Chris and Otabek can do these to perfection.
Guess who has to stop Yuri from climbing a wall when he's stressed because Yuuri is stressed and that makes Victor want to go comfort him, but he can't because he has to get ready for the wedding himself, and Yuri is supposed to stop Victor but Victor listens to no man save Yuuri and that's a mess he's tried to explain but no one seems to get but Otabek.
Guess who has to braid Yuri's hair to calm him down. Then has to tell Yuuri's mom - who is doing something else important at the time - what's up so it can be dealt with. Then has to deal with helping Yuri find where he threw his shoes in a rage.
Guess who has to go pick up the classic car they left to get detailed the day before instead of three days prior like he suggested and it may not be here on time because the delivery driver for it can't get anyone to drive him back, so he has to go and get it to the sight on time for when they 'go away' on the honey moon drive which is actually just a drive around the island so the pack of feral ice skaters can reset the scene for the after party. This doubles as having to pick up the wedding cake, and triples as getting Yuri out of there for a little bit so he can chill under the guise of holding the cake steady so it wont be ruined.
Guess who holds the ladders when they hang up flower decor because someone forgot they cannot en pointe to breach that last three inch gap between them and the hook for the flower arrangement. Seriously, you're gonna hurt yourself.
Guess who just sort of lugs boxes where they need to go with out a problem, and in general dose the dirty work quietly with everyone else, letting them set up - the fun part - while he considers this a light cardio day. Still shows up fresh and looking good, because of course he does.
And then he DJs and dose killer because you know he will, and everyone's having fun. All worth it.
But Yuri doesn't get to dance with him, and that's bothering Yuri, so Yuri hangs out with Otabek as he cleans up his set. Everyone else has decided to tear things down the next day. Not him. This shits expensive and he's not going to risk it.
And because Yuri pouts about it, Otabek sighs, grabs his hand, and with no one around just twirls Yuri's ballet doing ass about that floor in ways he's never danced before. Because while Otabek is not cut out for ballet, he dose dance. Far more varieties than Yuri. Lifts, spins, dips, twists. It's fast, and energetic, stuff to make Rodgers and Hammerstein drool. Then he just leaves Yuri drop jawed as he just walks back to his kit and finishes packing it up.
Yuri jumps on his back complaining all the way back to the place they are staying as he clings there like a particularly angelic daemon of a backpack about how dare Otabek hold out on him like that, and dose he think he can translate that to ice so Yuri can use it to kick JJs ass because he has to kick JJs ass, and also because that was so cool.
Otabek just shoulders his kit and says, "Maybe," but smiles just that little bit, until the lights show they are in range of people, his mask slipping back in place as he takes a sleepy Yuri to his room, dropping off his kit, and going to sit outside in the cool island air as an exhausted blond falls asleep still clinging to his back until he slides off from tired.
Otabek catches him. He always will. After a bit he takes him inside, and the rest of the party goes on... oh look. Chris did get out the stripper pole. Shaking his head, he continues to take care of Yuri before he wakes up from the tantalizing sent of possible blackmail pictures in the making. Because he would.
A sleep derived Yuri is a grumpy Yuri, and a grumpy Yuri just wont do.

How does Nico celebrate anniversaries?
Are you ready for this? 18+ content below
Nico Hischier wakes you up in the morning with his weight over your sleeping body. He gently brushes your hair back from your face, dusting kisses all along your features.
When you're awake, he stops, admiring the squinting of your eyes at the morning light. You're so cute and grumpy in the morning.
"Today is another day that I wake up as the luckiest person on earth." He whispers to you.
Then, word for word, he recites the vows he made to you on your wedding day a year ago. The ones he agonized over for weeks to perfectly sum up the way that he feels about you.
When he is done, he disappears beneath the covers, devouring you with his mouth until you grip his brown locks into a fist.
"Stay here." He tells you as he bops out of bed.
He comes back with breakfast - a chocolate croissant from your favorite bakery along with an iced coffee, perfectly blended with cream and vanilla. A single pink rose slants in a makeshift vase on the tray.
"Where is your breakfast?" You ask him, munching on your first bite of pastry. "I already ate." He grins. Heat engulfs your face at your husband's suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
You do end up sharing the croissant together licking off the flakey pieces that fall onto Nico's chest. He is careful of the tray as he rolls you onto your back to make love.
Unfortunately, off-season training doesn't take a day off even for your anniversary. So Nico leaves you tangled, naked, in the sheets with a final kiss. "Be ready to go out when I get back."
You dress up for him, curling your hair in soft, effortless waves and put on his favorite sundress of yours- a light blue, linen fabric that accents your natural curves. Nico can't keep his hands to himself when he gets home. He has to have you again.
"You're smudging my lipstick." You tell him as his tongue slides into your mouth with his next thrust. "Forgive me?" He hits the right spot inside of you and you moan a yes.
Though his afterglow, Nico changes into nicer clothes and you two head out into Bern.
The day is spent shopping, drinking, eating, and playing a few card games at a winery before dinner.
Nico holds your hand on the walk to the restaurant, playing with your large wedding rings as you talk about your impending return to New Jersey.
At dinner, you sit at a little cafe table, your legs plastered to one another. Nico's fingers play with your calf, carving at the lines of your muscle and savoring your smooth skin. For dessert, you have a chocolate cake that Nico feeds your bites of. His eyes are wanting with each stroke of your tongue on the metal fork.
"We gotta go." He whispers to you as he puts another bite into your mouth. You look down, laughing at his obvious arousal. "You can't yet."
"I have something for you." He says on your walk home, reaching into his pocket. You're buzzed on wine and gripping his bicep tightly with each step. He pulls out a box. It's a dainty, gold necklace with his number on it. "You said you wouldn't wear my number permanently until we were married." You hide your blushing face, remember the rude, drunk comment you made early in your relationship. Nico took it all in stride. "and it matters to me that you do now." He puckers his lips for yours again. "I love it.. and you. I'm so lucky to do life with you, Neeks."
Your hands are on him as he unlocks the front door. He holds the door open for you to walk in. You head straight to the bedroom, turning to catch his hands and lips and need.
"I love you Mrs. Hischier." Nico tells you as you're both falling asleep in your bed. "I love you more, Mr. Hischier." You nuzzle your nose into his chest, smiling softly as he rubs his fingers along your hair.

Breaking Dawn has always read like a fanfiction to me. I'm aware this has probably to do with the fact, that Forever Dawn was written before New Moon and Eclipse, and SMeyer just rewrote some pieces of it.
But this made me think - most fans probably have an idea of how they would have liked the story of Bella and Edward to end and those endings might all be a little, or even very different. What would your perfect ending for the Saga look like? You can place it after any point of the story - just after the first book, in the middle of New Moon, around the end of Eclipse, wherever you want.
It really does have a lot of fanfic-y tropes. The big wedding. The over-the-top tropical honeymoon. This is an 18-year-old middle class girl getting married here. Sure the Cullens are rich but she's not an actual princess or something, this always felt hugely over the top to me in a fanfic-y way. And then the baby, of course. It does tick a lot of boxes of the sort of fanfic that imagines what happens after the book/movie/show where the main couple get married and have a kid.
For me, vampirism without consequences is just completely uninteresting. Bella getting to have her cake and eat it too not only undermines all the themes in the earlier books and makes Edward's brooding about being a vampire seem like unnecessary whining, it's also just boring.
So my ideal ending is an actual follow up to Eclipse. Bella and Edward follow through on their compromise plan: wedding, sex, and vampirism in that order. There's no baby; Bella is turned on Isle Esme and spends a few months there on a secluded island with no people (the groundskeepers are given time off FFS Edward can clean the house) eating wildlife and adjusting to vampirism.
But she actually has to like, adjust. It IS has hard as people told her it was. She can still do well at it, but with struggle. I mean, Carlisle never killed anyone either but he did it by banishing himself to the woods and starving to the point that he unthinkingly attacked some deer. I believe it was hard and he struggled and so his triumph feels earned. Bella can still control herself better than average but I wanna see her struggle with it, versus like, one tense afternoon with Charlie and then totally being fine around humans and going to see lawyers in a sexy outfit, no problem. That felt anticlimactic.
Also there should be some fallout with Jake, and she should probably have to cut ties with Charlie and Renee. She MADE this choice to become a vampire knowing she was giving these things up, so for Breaking Dawn to be like "Nevermind! Haha!" about it was deeply unsatisfying. It killed the conflict and tension for Jacob and Charlie to still be part of her life and accepting of the weirdness of it.
For me, the whole point was Bella was sacrificing a lot to be with Edward. That is where the romance and angst lies. Getting to be beautiful and immortal and rich and powerful AND with the person you love AND keep your father and best friend AND get a perfect baby who never cries and sleeps through the night AND conquer the bloodlust in like 2 seconds was just . . . boring. All the stuff I had been interested in seeing how it would resolve was resolved in just the easiest, least interesting way possible. A perfect example: the wedding. We're told that Renee is going to freak out about this early marriage and even THAT relatively unimportant conflict is just instantly resolved with "actually, Renee's totally on board!!!!" Snore!
So yeah. Bella is turned on the honeymoon. It's hard. She cuts off ties with Charlie; maybe she fakes her death, maybe she just disappears. Jacob refuses to talk to her, but Sam is like "whatever she made her choice we're not going to start a war over this." And in this way Bella is actually cut off from her human life and has to start over with the new family and new life she chose. We probably have to resolve the Volturi situation somehow; maybe a trip to Volterra to prove she's been turned and some conflict with the Volturi comes into play.
But ultimately I just want an epilogue where she comes back to Forks with Edward to check in on Charlie and Jacob from a distance. She watches Charlie with Sue (or someone else) playing with step-grandbabies, she sees Jacob, who has stopped phasing and is aging and married with kids of his own, and it's hard. It's sad to see them going on without her. And Edward looks at her like he's about to apologize for the 239470242th time for robbing her of a human life and she's like, "No, the life I have with you is worth it," because THAT's the vibe! That's where the romance is! Her being happy in BD means nothing because it was all so easy for her! Her being happy despite the downsides of vampirism is where the romance lies!

Summary: You and Goose were just supposed to have a summer fling, not a fall wedding.
A.N. No Carole. She's having a wonderful life elsewhere.
Master List
Tumblr media
It was just supposed to be a summer romance. A fling. He was a naval aviator stationed in town for an undetermined amount of time. You were an elementary school teacher wanting to live out your summer and break out of your shell a bit. It was just supposed to be a hookup here or there and maybe a drive-in make out session once a week.
But then he stayed the night and cooked you breakfast the next morning. But then you went to his volleyball game and the two of you went out for dinner afterwards. But then he took you out dancing and carried you into the hospital after you tweaked your ankle. But then you surprised him after work on his birthday with a cake and didn’t leave his side all night.
But then he told you he loved you and you repeated it back a second later. And then the summer fling didn’t seem to just be a fling anymore.
You started wearing Goose’s ridiculous Hawaiian shirts when you went to the beach together. He started coming over to your house directly after work. You started to write notes to him and slip them into his bag before he left the next morning. He started to fix up your house for you and told you that he’d buy you a nicer one some day.
But when the fall breeze didn’t push Goose from your life, the Navy took over that role.
You returned to your home after a day at work, your dress splatter with a few paint splotches from your students, when you spotted Goose’s Bronco parked in front of your house. And sitting on the steps of your front porch, there Goose sat in his dress whites and with a solemn expression on his face.
Slowly turning off your car, you stepped out of your vehicle and approached Goose tentatively, already knowing what he was going to tell you. Goose stood up from his seat and offered you that small reassuring smile that he did when he carried you into the hospital for your ankle. He was trying to put on a brave face for you but his eyes gave it all away.
“Hey, Goosie,” you greeted him, staring up at him through your eyelashes. Glancing down at the paper in his hands, you bit your lip as tears stung your eyes. “You got your orders?”
“We ship out tomorrow,” Goose replied quietly, looking like he had beat himself up about it for hours now. “I’m so sorry, Honey.”
“It’s not your fault, Goosie. You were in the Navy long before you met me,” you stated, forcing a smile. “I knew that it would have to be temporary.”
“Temporary?” Goose asked, looking offended.
“Well, you’re leaving,” you replied, sniffling a bit. “And then you’ll move on, won’t you?”
“Who the hell said anything about moving on?” Goose questioned, grabbing your hand in his own. “Honey, there’s no moving on from you. Not tomorrow. Not ever.”
“Really?” you questioned, looking so surprised it physically made Goose’s chest ache.
“Honey, there’s no other person in the world for me,” Goose stated, squeezing your hand with his own, rocking your hands back and forth. “Is there anyone else for you?”
“No!” you responded quickly, taking a step towards Goose. “No one.”
“Good,” Goose replied with a smile, “because then this would have been really awkward.”
“Goose, what are . . .”
You trailed off as Goose, while still holding your left hand, slowly sunk down onto one knee. You stared, wide-eyed, as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a simple white box. Popping it open, Goose showed you the ring inside.
“I know that it’s not much and you deserve a bigger one, but—”
“—I don’t care about the size of the ring!” you interjected, looking at Goose incredulously.
“Then will you marry me?” Goose asked, causing you to laugh.
“Yes, of course, I’ll marry you, you silly Goose,” you replied, urging him up to his feet again.
Wrapping your arms around his shoulders, you pulled him in for an emotional kiss. Goose held you close with one arm and briefly broke the kiss to slip the ring onto your finger, before pulling you in for another one. Peppering kisses all over your face, Goose smiled at you with nothing but pure love and adoration in his eyes.
“So, when did you want to get married?” he asked, holding you to his chest.
“The courthouse is still open,” you pointed out, causing Goose’s eyes to widen.
“You want to get married tonight?”
“Well, I don’t want to wait until you get back,” you replied, smiling proudly.
“Have I ever mentioned that I love you?”
“You could stand to do it more often,” you teased, accepting another kiss from Goose.
Quickly unlocking your house, you tugged Goose inside. Ripping through your closet, you pulled out the simple knee-length white dress and heels that you owned. They would have to work for tonight, but you were sure that Goose would marry you in anything. Changing quickly in front of your fiance, you giggled when you caught Goose’s expression.
“Don’t worry, Handsome. I’ll be all yours once we sign the papers,” you assured him, pulling on your dress.
“We’ll see if I can wait that long, Honey.”
Goose zipped up your dress for you and the two of you hurried down to the Bronco. Driving through the streets of town, he pulled over at the local Navy bar and parked. You shot him a confused look, but Goose simply grinned in return.
“Let’s pick up our witness.”
Goose grabbed your hand and pulled you through the crowd of the club. It was mostly naval officers preparing to ship out and the random civilians that they were hoping to spend their last night in town with. Goose kept a tight hold on your hand and at some points held you by your waist. He eventually spotted Maverick at the bar, flirting with a woman.
“Mav!” Goose called, causing his pilot to turn around.
“Hey, Goose, about time you—”
“—We’re getting married,” Goose interjected, pulling you into his side and wrapping his arm protectively around you. “But we need a witness.”
“What the—you’re getting married!?” Maverick shouted, startling the woman beside him. “Holy shit! Congratulations!”
“Thank you! But we’re pressed for time, Mav, so let’s go,” Goose urged, gesturing for the door.
“We’re so sorry,” you apologized to the woman that Maverick had been flirting with.
“I get it. Congratulations,” she mumbled before walking off.
“Do you even have rings?” Maverick asked, already pushing Goose towards the door.
“Shit!” Goose exclaimed, causing you to laugh.
“You bought me an engagement ring, but you didn’t think to buy wedding rings?”
“I didn’t know if you were going to say ‘yes,’ Honey!”
“Alright, alright, get to the courthouse. I’ll figure something out,” Maverick asserted as the three of you stepped outside of the club. “What’s your ring size?”
“Here, use this for me,” Goose replied, pulling off his Naval Academy ring and handing it over to his pilot. Goose told Maverick your ring size next before adding, “Where the hell are you going to find wedding bands at this time of day?”
“I’ll figure it out. But, go! There’s probably a shit ton of people trying to get married there now,” Maverick urged, pushing the two of you towards the Bronco.
“Thanks, Mav!”
~~~~~
Goose drove you down to the courthouse and just like Maverick predicted, there was already a long line of people trying to get married. And just about every single groom-to-be was a naval officer in his dress whites. You and Goose started on the paperwork so that you could get married right away when Maverick came barreling down the hall.
“I got them,” he stated, handing over two gold bands. “And I got these for you, Mrs. Goose.”
“Thanks, Mav,” you replied, eyeing the roots that were still attached to the bottom of the flowers that he handed to you. “Did you steal these from someone’s yard?”
“Doesn’t matter,” Maverick stated, ripping off the roots for you and tossing them in the trash.
“Just don’t ask. It’s always easier to not ask,” Goose told you, causing you to laugh.
About a half an hour later, it was finally your turn to get married. Goose and Maverick stood at the end of the short courtroom besides the judge as you slowly walked down the aisle. Coming to stand besides Goose, you smiled up at him, absolutely enamored with your husband-to-be. And he smiled back at you like you were the only other person in the universe.
The vows were short and the ceremony was all together only about five minutes, but when the two of you finally got to say ‘I do’ in front of the judge and slipped the gold bands onto each other’s fingers, you were practically bouncing in place, ready to pounce on your husband. And he was already pulling you closer.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the—”
Goose wasted no time in pulling you in for a kiss and you happily returned it, throwing your arms around Goose’s shoulders. The judge shared a look with Maverick, who shrugged with a proud smile, as Goose dipped you for a moment, the two of you practically making out in the middle of the courtroom.
“Well, it’s a good thing that this isn’t a church,” the judge remarked, causing Maverick to laugh.
And with a few quick signatures and a stamp, you were officially married. You were now and would forever be Mrs. Goose Bradshaw. And neither you nor Goose was ever going to let anyone forget that. Goose led you out of the courthouse and pulled you in for another kiss once you were outside.
“I’ll leave you two to enjoy your night,” Maverick replied, shooting the both of you a wink.
“Thanks, Mav,” Goose returned on behalf of the both of you.
“Here,” you called, handing Maverick the flowers that he brought you. “Go have a wonderful night of your own, Mav.”
“Will do, Mrs. Goose,” Maverick replied, giving you a quick salute.
You and Goose walked to the Bronco as Maverick hopped on his Kawasaki and headed back for the Navy Club. Goose, getting increasingly more handsy with each step, gently pressed you up against the Bronco and peppered kisses up and down your face and neck.
“What do you say that we move onto our wedding night,” Goose suggested, squeezing your hips. “There’s a pull off down the road, about five minutes from here.”
“Goose,” you reprimanded, smacking him lightly on the chest, and causing him to straighten up immediately. “Your first time as a married couple is supposed to be special and romantic. Not a romp in your car.” But then you grinned and leaned up to whisper in your husband’s ear. “But that can be our second time.”
“I better get you home then,” Goose remarked, tugging open the door for you.
~~~~~
You called out of work the next morning, knowing that you were going to be an emotional wreck for the rest of the day. Goose stepped out of your bedroom as you prepared breakfast, already dressed in his day uniform. Trying to put on a brave face, you handed Goose a plate with food for him. Goose took the plate from you but quickly set it aside.
Pulling you closer, Goose lifted you up onto the counter and quickly connected your lips. He leaned down and laid you down against the counter. You reached down as Goose captured your lips again and undid his belt. Goose held your joined hands up further on the counter as you held onto him for one final ride before he had to leave.
Goose rested his forehead against your own as the two of you gasped together, holding each other as close as possible. Goose muffled your cries with his lips as the two of you slowly came down from your shared high, pressing soft kisses around your face as you slowly relaxed onto your countertop again.
Staring up at him with tears in your eyes, you cupped his cheeks and pulled his forehead back against your own and brushed your noses together. Goose held you there together, giving your left hand a reassuring squeeze. Pressing a soft kiss to your lips, he tried to smile.
“You’ll be alright, Honey. I’ll be back before you know it.”
“I know,” you croaked out, rubbing his cheek softly. “I love you, Goosie.”
“I love you too, Honey.”
“Come back to me.”
“Always,” Goose replied, pressing another kiss to your lips.
The two of you righted your appearances before heading out the door. Goose drove the Bronco down the road and slowly pulled into the lot. The two of you silently held hands as you walked onto base. Goose went to quickly change into his flight suit, leaving you and Maverick standing in the hall for a moment.
“He’ll be alright,” Maverick told you, noticing the tears in your eyes. “I’ll take good care of him. And I’ll bring him back to you in one piece.”
“Thanks, Mav,” you returned, sniffling a bit. “And it’s only for a few months. I’ll be fine.”
A few months. More like almost a year. Goose told you last night that they estimated that they would be gone for eight to ten months. It could be shorter than that. It could also be longer than that. But you couldn’t think about that right now.
Goose emerged from the locker room and the three of you walked down to the tarmac. Other aviators were already saying goodbye to their families and Maverick took a few steps to the side to give you and Goose a smidge of privacy.
Sniffling, you turned to look up at Goose, knowing that it was time to say goodbye. He squeezed your hands and put up a brave smile, but you knew that he was dying inside just as much as you were. His eyes just always gave it away.
“Come back to me,” you whispered out.
“I’ll always come back to you, Honey,” he promised, pressing a kiss to your nose. Pulling you in for a tight hug, Goose let his own tears drop. “I love you.”
“I love you too.”
The two of you simply held onto each other for a few moments until Maverick gently touched Goose’s shoulder and gestured for their plane. It was time to go. But you weren’t ready to let go. And neither was Goose.
“You’ll hardly notice I was gone,” Goose told you, tilting your chin up so that you locked eyes.
“Sure,” you agreed, playing along with the lie, though your voice broke as you spoke. “I’ll write to you, so that you don’t forget about me.”
“Honey, there’s no way on Earth that I could ever forget you.” Pressing a kiss to the tear that slipped out of your eye, Goose pulled you closer. “You’re my home.”
“You’re mine too,” you whispered shakily, burying your face in his chest.
Goose pulled you in for one last passionate kiss goodbye before they had to finally go. You stood there with the other family members, watching a Goose left with your heart in his pocket. Tears streamed down your cheeks as you waved to him. Goose blew you a kiss and you caught it, holding it to your heart.
But then the canopy came down and the planes turned to take off for somewhere out in the middle of the ocean.

𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚊
headcanons about getting married to lara because i physically need to write about my best girl (female reader)
Tumblr media
𝚠𝚎𝚍𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐
marriage has always been in lara's plans, she just didn’t know when until she started dating you. she knew she wasnted to marry you when you casually said "when we'll get married" during one of your dates. your relationship was a couple of years old and she already had an established career when she started considering getting married.
the proposal is intimate. she decided to plan a short trip, just the weekend, in the scottish highlands. she asked you on impulse, not finding the right words and playing with the box of what was your engagement ring. you said yes.
planning the event with you is probably lara's favourite part. sharing ideas and pinterest boards, doing the shopping and the guest lists, creating the favour yourselves... she wants to share as many moments as possible while organizing your wedding. its an event to celebrate your love, she wants to create it with you. i believe her favourite part would be choosing the cake and the menu.
speaking about the menu, she would love to include her favourite dishes from the places she visited during her expeditions. therefore you decide on a buffet style reception that includes a lot of dishes of lara's choice along with more common ones. the wedding cake is actually the most fun part, trying all the different flavours together.
you two agree on a intimate wedding. she doesn't really care about formalities therefore, including both families and friends, you end up with around 30 people. a small event. on the other hand, i think the theme would be kinda classic since you chose the manor as the reception and she wpuld want to match.
dress shopping is another fun part. i believe lara would wear a suit jacket with matching trousers and one of those lace corset underneath. i believe it would fit her tomboyish side and aesthetic. when it comes to your dress, lara doesn't hide her personal preferences but she will adore your choice.
𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝
the cerimony is civil, at 11am in the royal botanical garden. this gives you and your girlfriend some time before you have to get ready and start the day. nothing like pre-wedding cuddles at 7am in the morning.
you walk down the aisle together, holding each others' arms. the vows are actually pretty short, its just a quote by one of her favourite authors and she thinks its enough to express her love for you. the kiss after was her favourite part. after the cerimony you stay inside a little for the photoshoot and your guest throw foower petals the moment you two get out.
the reception is the croft manor. the garden are marvelous, curated and perfect to celebrate your wedding. the lunch is a buffet style, the guests take the food themselves and they can choose from a variety of multicultural options. the wine is sweet and sparkling, only served when the cake comes.
i don’t see lara being big into games or activities durind the reception, especially since on the grass it might be difficult to dance or do anything. the entertainment would be probably just talking with other people with music on the background sound.
𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚢𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚗
for the honeymoon you devided to go to nara, japan. lara always wanted to feed those crackers to the deer and getting married was a perfect reason to do that. you soendt ten days in the japanese city, visiting every aviable historical and cultural place. she spendt the whole honeymoon talking nonstop about all the historical facts she knew.

ofmd s2e1 rewatch where i pause to jot down my thoughts and other random shit
not quite a reaction post bc i've already watched the whole thing. not quite a liveblog bc it's one post and it's probably gonna take me a full hour to get through a 28 minute episode at the rate of pausing and typing i'll be doing
s2e1, s2e2, s2e3, s2e4, s2e5, s2e6, s2e7, s2e8
anyway, pirate time:
i love how much fun con is having choking on his own blood
dream!stede's extremely teary face right before he takes off running down the beach is doing psychic damage to me
also dream!stede's stupid ridiculous outfit with all the long ribbons and shit...
ed and stede make contact so hard shjfkhsgjkfd the loud OUGH sounds from both of them
also the return of ed's old beard! i didnt expect to see her at all this season, so that was a surprise.
"babe" "love" im tearing out my own hair
stede has yet to learn that ripping ass near your beloved can be a love language
stede is a terrible fucking roommate just deal with wee john's gas in silence like the rest of them. goddamn.
WHO HAS THE OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH TRAMP STAMP. WHO IS THAT.
i like when the background OST is familiar to me lol the little strings when stede starts his letter throwing me back to s1
olu: that–that's the swede the swede: Im the swede roach: he's single ;) me: *pissing my pants with laughter*
also the direct confirmation that the swede literally doesn't have a name. incredible
shjkfhdhfkj the crew encouraging him. stede's "it's okay" and roach "be brave" im CRYINGGGGG
stede doing customer service is something that can be so personal. "reservation?" "eat my fuckin' shit" "right! walk-ins, then" average restaurant experience
the random background guy saying "my favorite hand!" abt getting stabbed in the hand is making me giggle. i love the humor on this show
why does stede have so much shoulder movement going on when he's walking through the bar. whore behavior.
"this is for mom!" sorry but i want to know more abt whatever's going on there
also the purple mohawk. dope.
buttons is so distressed LET HIM RETURN TO THE SEA THESE CONDITIONS ARE INHUMANE
"i know the odds of you finding this are slim but so were the odds of us finding each other in the first place" IM RIPPING OFF MY OWN SKIN
also stede's lil sad hopeful smile after throwing the bottle... i care him
i love how they make this wedding fucking suck so we don't feel too bad abt the whole massacre thing. "the natural condition of humanity is base and vile. it is the obligation of people of standing, such as yourselves, to elevate the common human rabble through the sacred transaction of matrimony" if i was at a wedding and the officiant said that i'd also start killing people probably
yayy murder montage :)
FANG BREAKING THAT GUY'S SPINE OVER HIS KNEE
the whole cake scene is so fucking funny im sorry. i love u jim drawing the line at attacking a shitty wedding. i love u archie who wasn't here for the good old days so you dont really see a problem with how things are. i love u frenchie with ur box in ur brain that u never open again. i love u fang it's gonna get better i swear. i love u frenchie again bc u just took the cake right out of fang's hands while he was fucking sobbing hfjhgkjhdkjkf
I MISS IVAN JUSTICE FOR IVAN. wish they could've said he'd just fucked off somewhere instead of dying but i think that would've raised the question of why hasn't anyone else fucked off since they all seem so miserable
very relieved that stede isn't taking the racist/antisemitic caricature drawings of ed to make like a boyfriend scrapbook like some people were theorizing. would've been overkill if after episode 4 from last season stede still didn't realize that ed hated these sorts of depictions of him.
INTERESTING DETAIL THO the background music in this scene is "a pirate's life" aka the song frenchie sang in the pilot. it's an instrumental version obviously but yeah i recognize that tune
also more cool background ppl with dyed hair man i love this show
zheng yi sao flirting with olu is so good. he deserves it.
how nice of ed to offer his drugs to the crew. sharing is caring.
also it's so funny to me that the thing izzy is tormented by is ed saying "you can't do the job, someone else will" the toe thing's happened three times and apparently that was fine but the thing the show edits together right before izzy breaks down into the most pathetic aheemheem whimpers isn't any of that it's ed threatening to fire him
also they cut ed throwing knives at izzy!! what the hell.
releasing the clip of izzy crying kinda ruined it for me when it came time to watch it in the show bc i watched it several times since it dropped and now seeing it in context i was like "ok i've seen this already fast forward." i mean i didnt fast forward through it but i did kinda zone out bc i've seen this bit already. this post kinda sums up my thoughts on it
"trifling ingrate plan" dshkjfshgdskhfjkhgkjh
"SEMI-CLEAN WATER"
JACKIE CALLING THE SWEDE "BOO CAKES"
"i know that guy we had breakfast together!" "you'll be having a lot of breakfasts-es together" "oh, okay" i fucking love this whole dynamic like i can tell they're writing the swede out of most of the episodes for budget reasons (sorry nat faxon) but by god do they give him such an excellent fucking send-off. can't wait to see him again when he's in his trophy husband number 20 era
roach is upset abt not being able to cook, buttons is tied up so he doesn't go running back to the sea (i assume). stede you are not giving your crew the environment they need to thrive.
olu being an optimist :)
buttons opens his mouth to drink the rain and in the background u can see roach yanking the rope around buttons back fhdjskgfjhgkjfh STEDE YOUR SEA WITCH CANNOT THRIVE IN THESE CONDITIONS
stede tries to make things sound good in his bottle letters to ed but out loud he says his actual insecurities... it's so fucking tasty tho that he thinks ed could be doing better without him and THAT'S why he's been stalling so much. not afraid for his life even a little bit he just assumes he's not wanted. brb i have to cry now
"im sorry if that's a little bit creepy" "you are creepy" in this scene where they're soaked from the rain. ofmd said this prince ricky guys is creepy and wet.
stede's fucking FACE when prince ricky says "you're my hero" his fucking "clearly you dont own an air fryer" face I CANT STAND HIMMMMMM (affectionate)
prince ricky "these rubes" "men of our standing" yeah i cant fucking stand this guy (derogatory) i love how he's barely even in this episode
stede's face when the swede is talking abt how happy he is with jackie... my man believes in love so much im gonna cry
also in what fucking way does the swede owe them a life debt. roach and buttons literally tried to eat him
izzy's "you know me better than anyone knows me and i daresay the same about you" this is literally so false i dont even know where to begin. izzy in e6 being like "if i didnt know any better i'd think maybe ed might possibly maybe be actually enjoying bonnet's company" while ed and stede are giggling and making each other friendship bracelets. this guy doesn't know ed at all.
also i cant get over how izzy wont make eye contact he's like staring blankly into the middle distance delivering these lines so flatly until he goes to say "i have... love for you" and in that moment he looks like he'd rather ed were feeding him more toes.
"im worried about you, we all are" not gonna lie my dude you've had a weird way of showing it thus far. where was all that worry when you told him he was better off dead than wearing a robe and singing songs?? where was that fucking love then?
and NOW izzy wants to talk it through. izzy literally voted to make blackbeard great again and now he wants to give open communication a chance???
lmao there's a limit to how many characters can be in a bulleted list so here's fucking. part two. on the same post:
ed asking everyone if the vibe is poisonous and fang cant stop crying and ed's face is just like "eh good enough" im fdhksgfkjtdkh
anyway ed with a loaded gun under his chin talking to himself is hurting me so fucking much actually. ed my beloved babygirl for whom i would die. this poor traumatized man. yes he is making this workplace toxic as hell but god. GOD. im gonna throw up.
the way ed is so fucking casual about shooting izzy in the leg. just calm and jovial as he promotes frenchie to first mate. stepping over izzy all crumpled on the floor. everything about this is so fucking good. i mean it's horrible for ed and everyone around him but for me watching the show this shit is DELICIOUS. i love when the pirates get violent and unhinged i love when this shit gets fucked up. ed's mental state is so bad right now and it is causing me severe anguish but also it is so tasty. fuck.
anyway frenchie trying to turn down the promotion fhjkghdfjkhf
the cut to the swede performing the husbandly duties is INSANE. COMPLETE TONAL WHIPLASH. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
"fuck those hammies up!" spanish jackie i love you
black pete why are you so fucking loud AND WHY WOULD YOU JIX IT LIKE THAT???
why is prince ricky so small. he's like a full head shorter than stede. also this guy is insufferable i love how stede just fucking abandons him fhjkgdhkdfghkj
"the calf muscle is the most mysterious of alllll the muscles" what the FUCK does that even mean. oh swede i will miss you
NOSE REMOVAL FUCK YES. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
obsessed with the swede playing dumb. the dramatic gasp. "wow, so bad!" fhjsghdkjf
"aint you that soup bitch?" "im the money bitch" i love women.
sfdsjkh spanish jackie being into double-crossing. and slapping the swede's ass on the way out. i love this show
i love how zheng says "this much indigo is worth three times what i paid" while spanish jackie and the husbands are still like, right there. and they just don't hear that bit. incredible.
OUGH the back of jim's weird rope armor looks like a ribcage that's so cool
i love how jim is so fucking bad at telling this story. i love how the monkey's paw comes into it. i love fang asking them to do the voice. i love archie trying to hold back her laughter i love jim and fang giggling together I LOVE THIS SHOW
ed's fucking voice breaking through his whole convo with frenchie. im tearing out my own teeth
HEY DID YOU GUYS KNOW THEY HAVE POST-CREDITS SCENES IN THIS SEASON?????????? WHAT THE HELL
i take back what i said about jim being bad at telling this story their version is so much fucking better. squeaky voice "I pray to you, Dark Lord, to make me real flesh! I want to be real flesh!" IM FUCKING OBSESSED. JIM I WOULD DIE FOR YOU
