DPxDC Idea
Danny working at Wayne Enterprises as some sort of engineer, uses the in-house app for all his blueprints and stuff
He starts getting notes from a coworker in-app, and assumes its this annoying older guy in his department who constantly undermines him because of his age, despite his education and past achievements (i feel like in this AU the Fentons react well to the reveal and they work together on a number of non-lethal ecto inventions that have Danny's name attached to them)
Except one day his coworker mentions never using the app, and Danny suddenly realizes there's only one other TD he could've been arguing with in the notes of the app

I've finally figured out an argument that convinces coding tech-bros that AI art is bad.
Got into a discussion today (actually a discussion, we were both very reasonable and calm even through I felt like committing violence) with a tech-bro-coded lady who claimed that people use AI in coding all the time so she didn't see why it mattered if people used AI in art.
Obviously I repressed the surge of violence because that would accomplish nothing. Plus, this lady is very articulate, the type who makes claims and you sit there thinking no that's wrong it must be but she said it so well you're kind of just waffling going but, no, wait-- so I knew I had to get this right if I was gonna come out of this unscathed.
The usual arguments about it being about the soul of it and creation fell flat, in fact she was adamant that anyone who believed that was in fact looking down at coding as an art form as she insisted it is. Which, sure, you can totally express yourself through coding. There's a lot more nuance as to the differences but clearly I was not going to win this one.
The other people I was with (literally 8 people anti-ai against her, but you can't change the mind of someone who doesn't want to listen and she just kept accusing us of devaluing coding as an art) took over for I kid you not 15 minutes while I tried desperately to come up with a clear and articulate way to explain the difference to her. They tried so many reasonable arguments, coding being for a function ("what, art doesn't serve a function?") coding being many discrete building blocks that you put together differently, and the AI simply provides the blocks and you put it together yourself ("isn't that what prompt building is") that it's bad for the environment ("but not if it's used for capitalism, hm?" "Yeah literally that's how capitalism works it doesn't care about the environment" she didn't like that response)
But I finally got it.
And the answer is: It's not about what you do, it's about what you claim to be.
Imagine that someone asks an AI to write a code and, by some miracle, it works perfectly without them having to tweak it---which is great because they couldn't tell you what a single solitary thing in that code means.
Now imagine this person, with their code that they don't know how it works, goes and applies to be a coder somewhere, presenting this AI code as proof that they're qualified.
Should they be hired?
She was horrified, of course. Of course they shouldn't be. They're not qualified. They can't actually code, and even if by some miracle they did have an AI successfully write a flawless code for every issue they came across that wouldn't be their code, you could hire any shmuck on the street to do that, no reason to pay someone like they're creating something.
When actual engineers use AI what they do is get some kind of base, which they then go though and check for problems and then if they find any they fix them, and add on to the base code with their own knowledge instead of just trying different prompt after prompt until they randomly come across one that works.
People who generate code like this don't usually call themselves engineers. They're people who needed a bit of code and didn't have the knowledge to generate it, and so used a resource.
And there you go. There are people who have none of the skills of artists, they don't practice, they don't create for themselves. When they feed the prompt to the AI they then don't just use the resulting image as a reference point for their own personal masterpiece, and if they don't like it they don't have the skills to change it---they simply try another prompt, and do that until they get something they like.
These people are calling themselves artists.
Not only that, these people are bringing the AI generated thing to interviews, and they are getting hired, leaving people who slave over their craft out of the job.
And that is the difference, for the tech bros who think AI art isn't a big deal.

How Prompt Engineering Works?
Tumblr media
Understanding the intricacies of massive AI models is an art. Even technical experts can find themselves baffled by the unexpected capabilities of large language models (LLMs), the core elements of AI chatbots such as ChatGPT. Therefore, it's no wonder that prompt engineering has emerged as the most trending profession in the field of generative AI, with some organisations offering enticing salaries of up to â‚č3,50,00,000 to entice top-tier candidates. In this article, we'll explore what prompt engineering is, how to become a prompt engineer, why it's important, and how it operates.
Understanding Prompt Engineering
Prompt engineering involves the creation of clear and informative questions or instructions that help users obtain desired outputs from AI models. These prompts serve as specific inputs that shape language models' behaviour and text generation. By carefully constructing prompts, users can influence and control the output of AI models, making them more useful and dependable.
The History of Prompt Engineering
While prompt engineering might not have a long history, its roots can be traced back to early NLP research and the development of AI language models. Let's take a brief journey through its evolution:
Pre-transformer Era (Before 2017)
Before the advent of transformer-based models like OpenAI's GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer), prompt engineering wasn't a common practice. Earlier models, such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs), lacked contextual knowledge and adaptability, limiting the potential for prompt engineering.
Pre-training and the Emergence of Transformers (2017)
The introduction of transformers, especially through Vaswani et al.'s "Attention Is All You Need" paper in 2017, revolutionised NLP. Transformers enabled large-scale pre-training of language models, teaching them how to represent words and sentences in context. However, prompt engineering remained a relatively unexplored technique during this period.
Fine-tuning and the Rise of GPT (2018)
A significant turning point for prompt engineering came with the introducing of OpenAI's GPT models. These models demonstrated the effectiveness of pre-training and fine-tuning for specific tasks. Researchers and practitioners began to use prompt engineering techniques to guide the behaviour and output of GPT models for various purposes.
Advancements in Prompt Engineering Techniques (2018–Present)
As the understanding of prompt engineering deepened, researchers started experimenting with different strategies. This included crafting prompts with rich context, using rule-based templates, integrating system or user instructions, and exploring techniques like prefix tuning. The aim was to enhance control, mitigate biases, and improve the overall performance of language models.
Community Contributions and Exploration (2018–Present)
Prompt engineering gained popularity among NLP experts, leading to the exchange of ideas, best practices, and lessons learned among academics and programmers. Online discussion boards, academic publications, and open-source libraries played a vital role in advancing prompt engineering methods.
Ongoing Research and Future Directions (Present and Beyond)
Prompt engineering remains an active area of research and development. Researchers are continuously exploring ways to make prompt engineering more effective, interpretable, and user-friendly. Techniques like rule-based rewards, reward models, and human-in-the-loop approaches are being investigated to refine prompt engineering strategies.
The Significance of Prompt Engineering
Prompt engineering is crucial for improving the usability and interpretability of AI systems. It offers several benefits:
Improved Control
By providing clear instructions through prompts, users can steer language models to generate desired responses. This level of control ensures that AI certification models deliver results in line with predefined standards or requirements.
Reducing Bias in AI Systems
Prompt engineering serves as a tool to mitigate bias in AI systems. Carefully crafted prompts can help identify and reduce biases in generated text, resulting in fairer and more equitable outcomes.
Modifying Model Behavior
Prompt engineering allows for the customization of language models to exhibit specific behaviours. This empowers AI systems to excel in particular tasks or domains, enhancing their accuracy and reliability in specific use cases.
How Prompt Engineering Works
Prompt engineering follows a systematic process to create effective prompts. Here are the key steps:
1. Specify the Task
Clearly define the specific goal or objective you want the language model to accomplish. This can encompass any NLP task, such as text completion, translation, or summarization.
2. Identify Inputs and Outputs
Define the required inputs for the language model and the desired outputs you expect from the system.
3. Create Informative Prompts
Craft prompts that convey the expected behaviour to the model. These questions should be concise, clear, and tailored to the purpose. Discovering the most effective prompts may require some trial and error and fine-tuning.
4. Iterate and Evaluate
Test the created prompts by inputting them into the language model and assessing the results. Analyse the outcomes, identify any shortcomings, and adjust the instructions to enhance performance.
5. Calibration and Fine-tuning
Take into account the findings from the evaluation when calibrating and fine-tuning the prompts. This process involves making minor adjustments to achieve the desired model behaviour, ensuring it aligns with the intended task and requirements.
Empowering Minds: The Significance of AI Prompt Engineer Courses

Jazz swiftly becomes very popular in the historically accurate LARPing communities. She even has period accurate ammo.
Not only that but thanks to her Fenton genes she is a pro at customization, and the creation of specialized non-lethal ammo. Her Fenton Foamer bullets are particularly popular.
Jazz still puts her psychoanalyzing to good use, and refuses to sell to those who don’t pass her vibe check or her gun safety course.
Short DPXDC Prompts #1032
Jazz has gotten far better in aim and weaponry over the years. She never expected to get into gun collecting but here she is, opening a gun store in the heart of Gotham. If you ask politely, she might just let you peruse her special collection in the back. It’s chalk full of Fenton weaponry and her own custom builds. It’s stuff that an ATF auditor would take one look at and shut down her entire store without a second thought. Lucky for Jazz, the local rogues gallery has long since scared the ATF from stepping foot in Gotham.

Mastering the Art of AI Prompts: 5 Techniques for Advanced Users
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/mastering-the-art-of-ai-prompts-5-techniques-for-advanced-users/
Mastering the Art of AI Prompts: 5 Techniques for Advanced Users
The use of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT is exploding across industries. Even scientists are leaning on AI to write or at least polish their work. A recent analysis of five million scientific studies published in 2023 found a rapid increase in certain words, such as meticulous, intricate, and commendable. The reason for this increase? The use of LLMs.
AI’s impact is already massive, rapidly transforming the workplace. But we’re still at the early stages, trying to strike a balance between harnessing AI without leaning too much on it and compromising quality. At my company Jotform, we have incorporated AI tools to automate tedious tasks, or as I call it, “busywork,” and free up employees to focus on the meaningful work that only humans can do. I view AI tools like ChatGPT as valuable resources—low-cost, efficient AI assistants. But as anyone who’s used ChatGPT will tell you, it’s not 100% reliable or accurate. And it’s only as effective as the prompts you give it.
I recently asked ChatGPT how to develop your prompt engineering skills. The first response was: “Experimentation and Iteration: Continuously experiment with different types of prompts and refine them based on the AI’s outputs. Track what works and what doesn’t, and iteratively improve your prompts.”
In other words, practice makes perfect.
With this in mind, here are my top strategies for taking your prompt writing to the next level.
Try meta-prompts
Communication is the lynchpin of a successful relationship. Understanding how people communicate and how to best communicate with them can help grow a stronger bond and overcome inevitable misunderstandings when there is a disconnect between words and intentions or emotions. In the same vein, your interactions with ChatGPT can vastly improve if you explicitly ask it how to best communicate with it. I regularly ask ChatGPT how to phrase prompts in order to get the information or feedback I’m seeking. The more information you give ChatGPT about the results you’re after, the better it can help you generate an effective prompt.
Here’s a sample meta-prompt:
“How would you phrase a prompt to get detailed feedback on an article from ChatGPT? What information would you include to get the most relevant insight?”
In seconds, ChatGPT churned out a prompt template with a brief explanation of why it included each part of the prompt. This kind of insight helps you write better prompts in the future.
Make it an ongoing dialogue
In most research tools, each query is isolated. You can’t build on a previous search to refine or dig deeper. ChatGPT has the advantage of enabling you to continue a thread, just like a dialogue between two people—a Socratic dialogue, if you will, where you are the teacher and ChatGPT is the student. I find this capability especially useful if I’m new to a subject and would like to begin with a basic level of understanding before diving into the nitty gritty.
To engage in dialogue with ChatGPT, start with a broad prompt and refine the subsequent prompts based on the responses.
A sequence of prompts might look like this:
“In a few sentences, can you explain the mechanics of a tennis serve?”
“Why does the server shift their weight from the back foot to the front foot?”
“Can you briefly explain kinetic energy transfer?”
This technique can help you to get more nuanced responses and explore areas and perspectives you might not have otherwise considered.
Give ChatGPT a reference text
ChatGPT can be a bit of a smooth talker. Ask it about any subject under the sun and it will happily wax poetic for as long as you’d like. The rub: it’s not always accurate. That’s why providing ChatGPT a reference text can help ensure the replies you receive are grounded in reliable sources.
As OpenAI explains, “In the same way that a sheet of notes can help a student do better on a test, providing reference text to these models can help in answering with fewer fabrications.” Feed ChatGPT the sources that you already know and trust and let the LLM extract the information you need.
The prompt could be:
“Use the following article in quotes to answer questions.”
ChatGPT: Sure, please go ahead and provide the articles you’d like me to use for answering your questions.
Then, provide ChatGPT with the article (title and publication will usually do the trick) and your questions.
Assign ChatGPT a role
One of the most useful, and admittedly fun, capabilities of ChatGPT is to adopt different personas. You probably know the parable of the blind men and the elephant. Each man feels a different part of the elephant and describes the animal based on their limited perspective. As humans, we tend to assume our reality is correct even when it’s based on a limited point of view. Incorporating various perspectives empowers us to understand something more fully.
By simply instructing ChatGPT to adopt a persona, we can get a new perspective.
Consider these two prompts and personas:
Prompt: Rewrite the following text from the perspective of a poet: A bridge over water connects two lands.
ChatGPT:
Between shores, where rivers dance and whisper, A bridge, slender and resolute, spans the liquid silver, Uniting distant lands with an arch of promise, A testament to the yearning of hearts and soil.
Prompt: Rewrite the following text from the perspective of an engineer: A bridge over water connects two lands.
ChatGPT
A bridge over water functions as a structural solution, effectively connecting two separate landmasses. It spans the gap with precision-engineered materials, ensuring stability and durability while facilitating transportation and communication between the two regions.
At Jotform, our marketing team might use this technique to examine an issue from the perspective of different buyer personas. It’s a simple technique with myriad use cases.
Model the reply you want
While ChatGPT might not be the most reliable narrator, it is extremely logical. Rather than trying to describe the response you want, which can be surprisingly challenging, you can give ChatGPT an example and it will apply the same logic.
Let’s say I’m working on a marketing campaign and want to use ChatGPT to come up with snappy, compelling copy.
I could use the following prompt:
Prompt: “I will write words and I’d like you to come up with a corresponding adjective. For example, if I write ‘pretty,’ you might write “more beautiful than the stars in the sky.”
ChatGPT:
Of course, I’m ready! Please provide the words you’d like me to transform.
Me: nervous
ChatGPT: Nervous as a leaf trembling in the gale of a tempest.
I might consider that on second thought, that’s not the tone I’m after. So I tweak the prompt.
Prompt: I will write words and I’d like you to come up with a corresponding adjective. For example, if I write ‘pretty,’ you might write “cuter than the prize-winning pig at the Texas State Fair.”
ChatGPT: Got it! Please provide the words you’d like me to transform.
Me: nervous
ChatGPT: Nervous as a cat at a rocking chair convention.
In this case, I’d get an idea for my marketing copy—and a chuckle, at no extra charge.

Retired Phantom
DP x DC Prompt
There is a new teacher at Gotham Academy. Mr. Nightingale is someone who has a mostly clean record. The only stains on his record is being the son to two villains who have been put behind bars and being under a witness protection program to one Vlad Masters.
He was hired because Gotham Academy is in need of not only a Chemistry Teacher and an Engineering Teacher as well, so he will be paid double the amount of money because of him filling two roles.
The students of Gotham Academy are waiting to see if Mr. Nightingale will become a Rogue of Gotham or move on to following his parents' footsteps elsewhere with becoming a Villain to a different Hero.
What the students of Gotham Academy weren't expecting of Mr. Nightingale is that he's a pretty good guy. He's understanding of the students, doesn't give a lot of extra homework to do, and is always bringing snacks for hungry students, including vegan snacks for one Damian Wayne and other vegan students. The only anomaly to Mr. Nightingale is that he is constantly taking eyedrops every hour.
Danny is living pretty okay right now. His friends have moved out of Amity before him to pursue their dreams. They do keep in contact, but collage life keeps them busy. His parents were arrested by the Justice League, and the GIW was disbanded by the Justice League as well. Vlad couldn't get custody of Danny because of both Jazz and the Justice League listening to him about not wanting to be with Vlad. So he's living with his sister until he's old enough to live on his own.
Of course, Vlad wouldn't give up. He kept trying as Plasmius to get him to join the Fruitloop. As soon as Danny got his teaching license, something he wanted other than becoming an astronaut, he and Vlad had engaged in a battle that led to the Fruitloops Castle. The battle lasted a long time, both Halfa's badly hurt, but Danny most of all, as he may be the Prince of the Infinite Realms, but he doesn't have the Crown of Flames or the Ring of Rage to help him. His Ghost Half sustained a lot of damage, with the only injury that transferred to his human half was the burns to his eyes. This is how the Justice League found Danny in Vlad's Castle (as a human and not Phantom), Jazz had called the Justice League because Danny wasn't back yet. Now, he's got to take special eyedrops provided by Frostbite to help his human eyes heal and to help his Ghost Hlaf eyes heal as well.
He was put under witness protection for his safety, and considering that he's living in Gotham, he's got Montoya, some other trusted GCPD officers, and a Bat constantly with him. He's given up on being a hero, as becoming the Prince to the Infinite Realms has overwritten his Ghostly obsession to become the King when he's of age. The only downside is that the Bats and the Justice League are asking around for Phantom. He doesn't want to involve himself in anymore Hero matters, but that will change as he gets more involved with the Wayne family.
