Fan art for a RWBY fic I'm quite enjoying called Red Sky at Night in which Penny gets hacked before the events of the series, Winter is working to get her back, and Ruby first encounters Penny at Torchwick's dust robbery and notices that something is wrong.

I spent a day designing the look of Penny based on the description given before I made the main piece, so here's that too!

I'll have to update my fic rec list soon, as I've got a lot of great new ones I've read, but here are some of my absolute favorites from my recent reads!

Completed Fics: "The Queens of Remnant" by Mikotyzini - 312k words, 48 chapters. Normally, I am not a fan of WhiteRose as a main ship in a fic (I don't mind it as much as a background ship, I'm just a aro/ace Ruby truther), but this dual Bumbleby and WhiteRose fic was fucking FANTASTIC. It's a Fantasy/Royal AU and it is most definitely deserving of your time.

"plant a love, put it on a windowsill" by sevensevan - 11k words, 2 chapters. Takes place between volumes 8 and 9 - Yang falls into the void and is spat out into her own future. The bees are breaking my fucking heart in this one and it's so good.

"still need your teeth round my organs" by sevensevan - 55k words, 9 chapters. This one's an interesting one - a Bumbleby Twilight AU. Now, hear me out, it's like the best and coolest parts of Twilight without all the cringe, and it's so fucking good. Read it. Please god. (Also, Transfem Yang!)

"Fractured Ribs and Horsehair" by Spinedog - 178k words, 28 chapters. LISTEN. LISTEN TO ME. If you even REMOTELY like Beehaw - read this. Read this and cry, then read it again. It's healing, it's love, it's so fucking amazing. Read it.

In-Progress Fics:

"you know for me, it's always you (and i know for you, it's always me)" by evesarkisian - If you like Spider-Man, particularly the movie franchises, and you like the bees, you go and read this right now. The second chapter just released recently, but these chapters are BEEFY. There's so much to get into and it is SO GOOD. Spider-Man Angst meets Blake Belladonna Angst and forms a masterpiece.

"You're a Hot Mess (And I'm Falling For You)" by Kaelidascope - These bees are fucking TOXIC and OOC, but if you like soap-opera level drama of a plethora of idiot twenty-somethings and can handle the OOC, it's absolutely delicious.

"Beauty and the Beest" by Kaelidascope - This one's a rework and rewrite, though there's also the original version up on their page to read! Very interesting concept and plot so far (plus, a tasty helping of art) -definitely recommend, though it gets into monster-fucking at some point, so perhaps not your cup of tea!

"Concrete Trail" by Spinedog - Zombie Apocalypse bees! This one's very tense and angsty, but it's been SO good so far. The baddies list also extends further than Adam in this one, so there's bound to be lots of trouble!

"INFECTED" by Kaelidascope - More Zombie Apocalypse bees, but with a little twist! Again, tense and angsty, but with the vibe of a 2010s zombie movie. It is very, very good so far and definitely worth jumping into!

8 months of carrying their first child, weiss finally given birth to the baby girl, jaune was there with her providing support, in the waiting room friends and family are waiting to meet Arc-Schnee love child, when nurse said it was ready to meet the baby, jaune's mother rushed in pushing her son aside.

"Oh, my Gods," said a relieved Jaune Arc, his ocean eyes staring at his newborn daughter with Weiss. "She's...She's beautiful."

"She is," Weiss nods lightly, holding the swaddled infant. "Hello, sweetie." The Middle Schnee coos to her baby.

"Hey," Jaune says in a similar tone, reaching out with his finger to touch his daughter's cheek, who gurgled in response.

"Gawds!" Nora groaned as she lay against one of the chairs in the waiting room, "How long does it take to squirt a baby out?!"

"Nora!" Ren calmed his wife down, "It takes time."

"Oh, Gods," the hammer-wielder grimaced, her teal eyes moving down to her own slightly swollen stomach. "I'm dreading when it's my turn."

"It's not so bad," Terra Cotta Arc said, sitting next to Saphron while their seven-year-old son was sound asleep. "I mean, it was painful when I gave birth to Adrian."

"Mama!" Squeaked a blonde, cat-eared toddler sitting on Blake's lap. "I'm tirsty."

"Okay, Nala," Blake reaches into her violet bag, pulling out a sippy cup and handing it to her daughter.

"I hope Weiss' okay," Ruby Rose said, clutching Oscar's hand as she worried for her best friend and teammate.

"I'm sure she'll be okay," the former host of Ozma spoke up, "she's been through worse."

"Childbirth's different, Oscar," Yang pointed out, "my first memory: Mom screaming like a banshee when Ruby was comin'."

"YANG!" The leader of Team RWBY's cheeks reddened at her sister, who snickered in response.

Then, the doors opened, and a nurse stepped out. "Ladies and gentlemen," she spoke, "you can now see the baby--."

"FINALLY!!" Juniper "Mama" Arc screamed as she rose out of her seat and rushed towards the delivery room, despite her age and the protest of the nurse. "I WANNA SEE MY NEW GRANDBABY!!"

"Uh," Adrian opens his eyes due to his grandmother's outburst, "is my new cousin here yet?"

The Battered Dragon

Buckle up, buttercups. This is a long one.

Jaune: Soooo... (continues looking around at the "forest" around him) where do you guys think we are?

Ruby: I don't know. I honestly didn't think I'd find anyone that quickly. Even if half of the group was tied up my a village of mice.

Weiss: (plucking a thorn out of her sleeve)They were... craftier than I would have thought.

Blake: (ears wilt) It makes me wonder where Yang is, or if she's okay.

Weiss: (places a hand on Blake's shoulder comfortingly) I'm sure we'll find Yang. You have to remember that this is Yang we're talking about. If anyone can manage surviving in an unknown world filled with random dangers, I'd place the charred remains of the Schnee fortune on it.

Blake: (ears perk up slightly) Yeah, you're right.

Weiss: (watches as Ruby and Jaune discuss what steps they should take next) You know. When we find her, it might be a good idea to have a bit of a heart-to-heart with Yang.

Blake: (ears spring skyward) I-I don't know what you're talking about.

Weiss: Blake, you almost jumped off the platform after Yang. I dragged you off the literal brink, and you immediately went feral on Neo afterwards.

Blake: I'm that obvious, huh?

Weiss: To everyone except Yang herself... (watches as Ruby trips over a random tree root and pulls Jaune down to the ground with her) And maybe those two.

Blake: (chuckles softly)

Jaune: Hey! Do you guys think we'll see the Lively Carpenter or the Battered Dragon???

Ruby: The Battered Dragon? I don't remember that character from the story.

Blake: The Battered Dragon was a strong warrior that fought back the night in a fiery blaze, but was always warm and kind towards the people in the book.

Weiss: We're not in a storybook. But! If we were, I wouldn't mind meeting the Lively Carpenter. They were so sweet in the story.

Jaune: I remember the Battered Dragon was like a barbarian of sorts. Super cool and strong who fought with her fists.

Ruby: I don't remember Yang ever reading that character. Actually, I don't remember her reading me that story at all.

Jaune: Huh... That's odd. I would have though- (draws sword) INCOMIIIIIING!!!

Jabberwalker: (bounds through the canopy into the clearing and slashes at Jaune)

Ruby: Jaune! (pulls Jaune out of the way)

Blake: Ruby! (throws Gambol Shroud, wraps the ribbon around Ruby, and yanks her back)

Weiss: (glyph attacks Jabberwalker and blasts it back)

Jabberwalker: Seeking - Searching - Contacting - DEVOURING!!! (leaps towards the group and slashes at the group wildly)

RWBJ: (get tossed to the ground)

Jabberwalker: (tail whips Blake to pin her down and leaps onto her)

Blake: (blocks claws with her sword and struggles to keep the claw from her face)

RWJ: Blake!

??? : I said I wasn't done with you yet!!!

-Burning fireball of stone barrels in and slams against the Jabberwalker's head, shattering into a million smoldering pieces as molten rock oozes over spiral horns-

??? : (rugged, dark brown leather adorned with intricate patterns and fur trims, well-worn trousers and boots, tanned leather tank top with tatters at the hem where the bottom has been torn off, revealing muscular abs and a few battle scars, and a blazing heart tattoo on a well-endowed chest. Scarred left arm is on display, muscles rippling as powerful hands grab the Jabberwalker's horns, while a paint chipped, slightly rusted metallic right arm glints dully in the sunshine. A purple bandana tied off where the metal meets flesh. Black and brown leather hand armor and pauldron adorn the left shoulder and hand with golden brown/grey whisps of fur protrude from under the plates. Burning golden hair burn out in a long trail behind a scorched, wooden dragon mask)

??? : Did you honestly think I'd let you hurt anyone here? (punches Jabberwalker a few times in the face) Then you're crazier than I thought! (throws Jabberwalker over to the next acre)

RWBJ: (stare in shock)

Jaune: (gasps like an excited child) Oh, my gosh! It's the Battered Dragon!!!

Blake: The Battered Dragon! In PERSON!

Weiss: We're actually in a fairytale....

Battered Dragon: (panting before squaring her shoulders and turning to RWBJ) Dammit! (takes off her mask, revealing one lilac and one crimson eye and three scars on her jaw) You guys weren't supposed to be here.

Jaune: Is that...?

Weiss: Yang?

Ruby: (walks up to the Battered Dragon) Yang?

Battered Dragon: (shakes her head, dislodging the tears in her eyes before nodding firmly) Yeah, Rubes. It's me. And you guys weren't supposed to-

Ruby: (grabs Yang's hand tightly) If you didn't think we'd come looking for you, then you must have forgotten who raised me.

Battered Dragon Yang: (sniffs and holds Ruby's hand) Right. I'm just... glad to see you guys again after all this ti- PUAH!!!

Blake: (tackles BDY to the ground and hugs her tight) Yang~

Battered Dragon Yang: (shocked eyes glance at Blake briefly before tears slip from her eyes, her nose wrinkles in an attempt to keep from crying, and she breaks. Arms wrap around Blake like a lifeline) It's actually you....

Weiss: (after a few minutes) Yang, what happened to you?

Battered Dragon Yang: It's... a long story...

Anyone wanna be RWBY friends? I've been getting back into it recently bc I love the concept n stuff. I have OCs too.

My fave characters are Ironwood, Clover, Qrow, Tyrian, Watts, Winter, Penny, Yang, Weiss, Nora and Glynda.

The thought entered my mind of rigorously important, professional, SDC Director Winter Schnee feeling like she’s lost some adrenaline in her life so she picks up motorcycles. Gets this like nasty fast sports one that just rips in and out of corporate, goes from a meeting talking about finances and almost using a summon to eat Greg from accounting because he hasn’t finished the paper work to get her budget evaluation finished to biking with no holds barred speed.

Which naturally brought me to Cinder and Ruby having an argument about something after a Hunt. The pair of them bickering as they get off and go about reuniting with partners. “Cinder is being such an idiot, she’s such a block head” But Ruby just stops and makes Weiss look as Cinder has to ride on Winter’s back on the bike, she’s content cause yippee pretty biker wife but also damn it it is hard to stay intimidating while holding wife’s waist like this and being yelled at to wear a helmet
