Lucius Fox is in the drive thru for some coffee, and like. He's just. He's had a time, okay?
He's stuck on some equations in regard to the amount of torsion a joint would go through if it's half in his dimension and half in another, and it's driving him up a wall.
He's been up for like forty-eight hours, he's tired, he's thirsty, he just wants a coffee, and also how to solve this dilemma.
He doesn't expect the barista in the drive-thru he's ranting about the engineering issues to actually provide decent feedback, and give him a few alternatives.
So he rushes to the pick-up window, not even caring to order, to look at this godsend of a barista.
It's a scrawny kid with black hair and blue eyes, looking startled. Boy can't be more than eighteen.
He asks what college the kid is going to, or plans to go to.
To his absolute horror, the kid-Danny, according to the nametag-says he can't afford college. That he'd had a stint in highschool where he just hadn't been able to focus, and his parents had spent every penny they had on their own inventions.
So that was why he was a barista; because if he worked there for four years, they would offer tuition assistance.
Which.
No. No no no no no.
Lucius pulls around to march into the store, Bruce Motherfucking Wayne already blearily on his phone.
He is getting this kid, and any friend of his, into college.
If Bruce won't foot the bill, he will.

Au where one day Daniel Thomas Fenton, 16 years old, retired ghost vigilante finally decides to tell his parents about the Accident when he was fourteen.
It… doesn’t end well. To say the least. Physically? Danny’s fine. But it blows up into a huge argument that ends with Danny getting disowned. And Danny, sick and tired of the years of neglect and fear and hate that’s radiated his house for years. Well, he just leaves. He doesn’t want to be part of the Fenton Family, he wants nothing to do with it.
He changes his name. Daniel Thomas Fenton to Thomas Nightingale. Before he was born, his parents asked Jazz what she thought her brother’s name would be. Two years old, she said Tommy. So when Danny was born, he was named Daniel Thomas Fenton.
Danny might not wanted to have been connected to the Fenton family, but he still wanted to be connected to his sister. He leaves town, but they keep in contact. And he stays in touch with Sam and Tucker too. They, along with Jazz, helped him change his name.
For the sake of continuity, I’ll keep calling him Danny.
A few months after Danny leaves Amity Park, he catches news from Eli. His little sisterdaughterclone contacting him to let him know that she snuck into Vlad’s to cause some mischief, and discovered that he was at it again.
He’d cloned Danny again. And this time it looked like it might be a successful boy. He was a baby. Danny rushed over to Vlad’s as fast as possible.
It wasn’t hard to break into the lab. Vlad was as cocky as he was stupid, and Danny had long since learned his tricks. The baby was being cared for by the vulture henchmen that Vlad used. Who were about as competent at taking care of a baby as the three fairies were in Maleficent.
Danny stole all information about the clone — how he was made, what Vlad did. Everything.
Turns out, the baby was more Danny’s son than he was a clone. Vlad had somehow rubbed two braincells together hard enough to have an epiphany of some sort. Rather than use Danny’s unstable DNA to make a clone from scratch, he used Danny’s DNA and an unnamed girl his age to make him.
(Safe to say, Danny was seriously creeped out.)
He also, somehow, figured out why Eli came out as Danielle rather than Daniel. It was the same reason that Danny’s suit went from white to black and his hair black to white when he went ghost. It was the ectoplasm’s weird inverting properties. Vlad had tried to make a male clone, but the ectoplasm he used inverted to make a girl. So, he tried the same thing, and instead tried to make a girl. The ectoplasm made the baby girl into a baby boy.
He had also, Danny seriously bet it was unintentional, somehow made the baby completely, utterly human. Well, almost completely human. The little boy was liminal in the same way Jazz was, with the minuscule changes to match. Sharper canines, a small ghostly sense, and eery eyes.
All in all, the baby was useless to Vlad. He didn’t have the powers Vlad wanted. Which Danny bet dollar to dollar was the biggest drawback to the egomaniac.
Well, what one crazed maniac found useless, Danny found he adored. It didn’t take long to dispatch the vultures, and Danny found himself hovering over the baby’s crib, unsure of what to do as the little boy’s bright blue eyes stared up at him with innocent wonder. He didn’t even know to fear strangers yet.
“Hello,” he said softly, and lowered his feet to the floor, changing back from ghost to human. “I’m Thomas.” He’d developed a weariness to his original name after Dan, and after his disownment, disliked it entirely.
The baby latched onto Danny’s finger with a gurgle, and that was it. Close the book, the end. Danny’s heart squeezed itself in his chest, a low coo trapped itself in his throat. And with hands that had never held something so small before, he picked him up.
“I bet he was gonna name you Daniel, wasn’t he?” He asked, trying to remember what the safest way to hold a baby that couldn’t keep its head up was. He cradled the baby to his chest. “He’s crazy. Don’t worry, I’ll take you with me.”
The baby just stared up at him, one chubby hand crushing his shirt. Danny couldn’t help but smile, now he knew why people always got so mushy around babies. There was so much to love about them. “I’ll come up with a better name.” He said, and walked away from the crib — there was probably something in Vlad’s lab that helped the baby. Some kinda diaper bag or something?
As he looked, he wracked his head for names. As well as that, he tried to think about what to do moving forward. The baby wasn’t like Eli, who was independent enough that she traveled the world and did whatever she wanted. He was a baby. Tiny, vulnerable, dependent. And legally, he didn’t exist.
“Why don’t I call you Bruce?” He said aloud, looking back down to the baby. Bruce. He liked the name. Bruce just looked up at him, and then tried to eat his shirt.
Danny didn’t think it was possible to fall in love so fast. “Okay, Bruce it is then.” He was smiling ear to ear. “Hi, Bruce.”
He found a diaper bag soon enough, it was near Bruce’s crib, tucked on it’s side under a chair. Danny slung it over his shoulder, switched forms, and flew out of the mansion
First thing to know about taking care of babies; it was hard. Danny flew miles from Vlad’s house, intangible and invisible, before he finally stopped at a gas station. He switched back, and then called Jazz
Who… immediately tore into him for making such a reckless, impulsive choice to go willingly into Vlad’s house
(Eli was a snitch)
(But not a big enough snitch apparently, she left the surprise baby to Danny to talk about)
And after the subsequent tearing into, Danny told her about Bruce
“What are you gonna do with him?”
“I’m not sure. I can’t just *leave* him. He’s so small Jazz.”
“Are you gonna keep him with you little brother?”
“…”
“…Just until I can figure something out.”
“I’ll send you some articles about taking care of babies then.”
Danny undeniably gets attached
He swore he’d figure something out by the end of the week. One week stretched into two. Two stretched to a month. And then a few months. And then Bruce was learning how to crawl, and he was babbling.
And he was just as attached to Danny as Danny was to Bruce.
Danny was all the way northeast by then, finding himself in Gotham. He was seventeen now, almost an adult in the eyes of the law. He was going to stay a week, if even that long, in Gotham.
And then he saved an eccentric elderly couple from being mugged. And by the end of the week he was staying in the elusive Wayne Family Manor as a special guest.
The Waynes were childless. They’d had tried for years to get a son, until eventually they gave up on it. But if you looked at their younger portraits, you’d think Danny was theirs by birth.
Days turned to weeks to months to nearly a year. And then more. Bruce was walking now, and he called Danny ‘daddy’ and he was still just as clingy as he was when he was on bottles.
Danny adored him.
And the Wayne couple were so kind to him. Danny had waited for weeks for the other shoe to drop. Nobody this rich was this kind, at least not anyone that Danny had encountered besides Sam, and Sam’s family were guppies in a pond compared to the behemoths that were the Waynes.
There was no other shoe drop. The Waynes never expected anything from Danny other than he ate well and slept well and that he stay as long as he like. They didn’t force him into attending anything, not their rich people parties or events, nothing. They bought him clothes and let him decorate his room, and spoiled Bruce positively rotten.
Danny quietly, where no one but his thoughts could hear, started to think they were better parents than the ones who gave birth to him. It changed things.
On Danny’s eighteenth birthday, the Waynes gifted him adoption papers. Danny couldn’t have grabbed his pen faster.
Danny Fenton became Thomas Nightingale, and Thomas Nightingale because Thomas and Bruce Nightingale.
Then, finally, Thomas and Bruce Nightingale became Thomas and Bruce Wayne.

DPxDC Family Week June 20 (Day 3)
Prompt: Adoption | Learn
A/N: This was inspired by a rl video I saw as well as a Owl House Episode I watched with my friend a little while ago
AO3 Link: DPxDC Family Week Contributions
It had been months now since Danny had moved from Amity to Gotham after his parents had disowned him as well as suddenly told him that he wasn't their son but adopted. It was a hard pill to swallow especially after his parents hadn't taken Jazz and him telling them the truth about Phantom very well. They didn't react negatively nor positively at first. They had just in return told him about having adopted Danny when he was baby and then told him that they no longer felt adequate to take care of him, especially with their research. He was welcome to stay until he found a new place to stay, they weren't 'heartless' enough to just kick him out and make him homeless.
Danny still had packed his most precious things, clothes and some of his personalized Fanton-Tech and started couch hopping mostly with Tucker, the Mansons still hated his guts. He had dropped out of School in favor of finding a job and hoped he would soon earn the money to get a place of his own. Refusing to take any of the money Sam tried to give him for a one room apartment.
Danny had understood he really had, despite Jazz overanalyzing him or his friends constantly questioning why he seemed to disassociate every now and then. Their worry got to the point that Jazz had decided that Danny needed a distraction that had nothing to do with ghosts, job hunting or his current sleeping arrangements. And that resulted in her convincing his friends in helping him find out more about his biological parents and any relatives he could additionally have. Surprisingly they hadn't had a lot of trouble finding out anything, though Danny suspected that it had a lot to do with some most likely very illegal hacking Tucker did.
Either way they had found out that Danny had originally come from Gotham, he apparently had an older brother. Who was the one that had given him up. There was a record of his home life having not been the best considering his registered mother had been recorded as a drug addict. He didn't blame that unknown older brother for giving Danny up for adoption, they most likely had wanted to protect Danny.
Of course that knowledge had been enough for Danny but not for his friends. And so Sam had gathered up all the money he had refused before, Jazz had packed up his bags and Tucker had organized a place for him as well as an entire file on how to best find his brother as well as a second safety file regarding the Bats in case they didn't like his ghostly presence. With that in hand the three had sent him off to Gotham making him promise to check in with them regularly and telling him that they would have everything in control in Amity until they could join him.
So after having been disowned by his parents, dropped out of school and more or less forced on a self discovery journey by his friends, he arrived in Gotham where the spirit of the town welcomed him like a lost son returning to their family. Let him tell you. Waking up in your hotel room in the middle of the night to an eldritch looking spirit hovering over your face welcoming you as her lost knight was not fun.
Additionally he hadn't planned on seeking his brother out but the Lady had been pretty insistent and so Danny did end up seeking him out. The files Tucker had provided were top notch. Ancients, his best friend had even figured out that his brother was essentially Red Hood aka Jason Todd-Wayne (he did not freak out that his favorite vigilante was his brother, no he didn't). Even if Tucker hadn't then Lady Gotham would have told him by trying to get him to reconnect with them using his alter Phantom. How in the name of Ancients did Lady Gotham even know about that?!
Of course reconnecting hadn't been easy and after several confidence boosting calls with his sister and friends as well as late night visits from the city's spirit, he had finally approached Red Hood as Phantom first. Which led to him realizing that his brother had corrupted ectoplasm in his system that needed to be removed asap. Well their first meeting ended up with Phantom sticking his hand into Red Hood's chest on instinct to remove all the corrupted ectoplasm.
Needless to say that first meeting ended with him getting chased throughout Crime Alley and getting bullets that couldn't even hurt him, shot at him. It took him a week to clear that misunderstanding as well as come clean to his older bio-brother. And then it took another week to reveal all the hidden truths like how he died and became half-ghost, how his brother had apparently also died and got brought back wrong which explained the corrupted ectoplasm, and how they both took up the vigilante badges. After the initial problems they had gotten along pretty well very quickly and Jason had become the elder brother to Danny that he always had wanted to be before having given him up for adoption.
Of course the other bats apparently got wind of his existence pretty quickly which ended after another week with Danny learning that his brothers entire family were vigilantes too. No he hadn't been suspicious of Bruce at first after his brother had told him of his adoption by a billionaire. Shut up, he did not check out the entire Manor invisible which led to him finding the Bat Cave and figuring out they were, what Danny liked to call, Gotham's furry brigade. Okay he did but he blames his obsession with protections and told his brother that much to which he got his hair ruffled.
Of course the moment Bruce Wayne got to know about this he had been interrogated about his relation to Jason, him coming to Gotham and his status as Phantom and half-ghost to which his brother ended up ready to throw hands with his own adopted father. Danny had first thought him to be a fruitloop but then once the man was satisfied, they had pretty quickly moved him from his hotel room to the manor and flat out told him that he would help him become a better vigilante.
Because apparently the moment they knew, Jason's adopted siblings did their research in regards to Phantom and found out that he still had a lot to learn and they could teach him how to become better at the whole hero stick, including balancing his day and night life.
So five weeks, after meeting his brother and reconnecting, later with Danny working part-time at Wayne Enterprise during the day that started as a cover for him but quickly got serious the moment Tim found out he was apparently brilliant (Which honestly, he was not. He was just obsessed with space.) That also resulted in signing him up for science classes and then upgrading his part time job from errand boy to the Aerospace Department Assistant.
So now after months spent in Gotham and deciding to stay there, his sister and friends pretty much told him that he was making the best decision of his life for once after seeing the progress he had made in balancing his hero life as well as getting a job and proper schooling. The Waynes also pretty much all but officially adopted him into the family. His brothers siblings even had referred to him several times as a brother too and Danny didn't know how many times he had told a reporter now that, 'Yes, he was Jason's biological brother.', 'No he was not a Wayne like is brother.', 'No, he was not getting adopted by Bruce too.' and 'No he would not attend any of the Galas the Waynes go to.'
Really the media watching the Waynes was probably only waiting for Bruce to announce an adoption. His friends, sister and even Jason, that traitor, had a bet running on how much longer Danny could tell Bruce no. Seriously, he was going to be 18 in three years anyway, why was everyone so interested in his adoption status when he was going to be a legal adult in a couple of years anyway. Besides his first adoption didn't work out, why would they think he would just agree to be adopted again? They did not know his true thoughts on this though.
Danny yawned as he made his way over to his workplace. He had a project to finish and a special meeting with Tim later today. He was the youngest Aerospace Engineer Assistant of Wayne Enterprise in their department but that didn't mean he wasn't as good as the others at least according to Tim anyway. His obsession with space was probably the only reason he was so good and had corrected at least five equations of his colleagues.
Dick would probably scowl him and Damian if he heard his thoughts would drag him to another training that was supposed to boost his self-confidence that hopefully involved less stabbing than the last one he had been dragged to. He should have never gifted a Fanton ecto-sword to the kid. It had been for his collection not special stabby training!
Really he had come to love his brother's siblings and he knew they meant well but he was self-aware. (Jazz and Jason would very much like to disagree here.) Besides it was already enough with the way they had accepted him into the family and apparently kept referring to him as brother despite the fact that he wasn't.
Speaking of which, his phone vibrated with the bat-chat going off about today's patrol and who was supposed to mentor him today.
+++++++++++++++++++++
IseeThings: Hey Ghost-Bro, you with me after your work for patrol?"
AnimalHeaven: Thomas, Father promised that Daniel is with me tonight.
OnMyChandelier: This is unfair. Baby Ghost, why don't you come visit me in Bludhaven?
OneShotKill: Butt off Dick. Spooks is with me tonight! Gotta show him the ropes of how to bust drug deals the correct way.
CantSenseMe: 😕🥺👻🥷🦸‍♂️👌
WhoNeedsSleep: I hate to say it guys. But he IS with Duke today.
IseeThings: Phantom and Signal, the Power Duo!
AnimalHeaven: Unacceptable.
WhoNeedsSleep: Look there is a big Project tomorrow morning WE needs him for. He needs sleep.
OneShotKill: Rich coming from you, Replacement.
HuntingMeHuntingYou: Guys, Tim is right, I am with Duke today.
IseeThings: GUYS! DAMIAN IN MY ROOM WITH A KNIFE!!
++++++++++++++++++++++
Danny couldn't help the grin at the cover Tim gave him for tomorrow morning when he would have to go to the legal office for the last of his papers. Thank the Ancients he had asked him for help with his little surprise for everyone. It also helped that Jason was keeping Bruce off his back.
"I really hope they will like the surprise, getting kicked out a second time won't be fun…" Danny muttered as he put his phone back into his pocket. He glanced at the innocent looking brown folder on his desk and Ancients, was he nervous.
Tim had assured him several times that it would be okay and that the others would be overjoyed. Jason had even made him call Jazz to help him calm down and get reassurance from her as well. They told him that what he was going to do was alright with them but he couldn't help but be nervous.
Yes they had welcomed him into the family but this was a whole other level he wasn't sure how they would react to it. For a brief moment Danny wondered if he would get to experience Damian's stabbynes without having to rile up the little guy or be dragged to train with him.
"You're worrying too much again." A cup of coffee was placed on his table as he looked up sharply at Tim who stood next to him sipping on his own cup of death wish.
"Shouldn't you be in a meeting?" Taking a sip of the offered cup Danny smiled, thank the Ancients that he and Tim had the same taste in coffee. Even if the others kept saying it's unhealthy, even making Jason question their blood relation at times.
"Still got some time. I wanted to make sure you're still good and not freaking out like that time you first saw the Riddler, little bro." The older shrugged and Danny glared lightly. They were going to hold it over him for the rest of his life. So what if he freaked out when he met the Riddler for the first time. Sue him, the guy is dressed in so much green he couldn't help but think that the guy got dipped in ectoplasm to the point he tried to soup him only to end up throwing the thermos at the guy's face in a panic when that didn't work. He had been glowing for Ancients sake!
"Just go to your meeting." Grumbling, he turned away from the Co-CEO that apparently liked to check on him way too much between his breaks and opened his company's provided laptop with the latest status and calculations of the latest engine he had been working on.
A week later Danny was pacing in his room. Everyone else was already down at the family dinner, Alfred had organized and Danny was most likely the only one missing. He had a call with Jazz earlier. Confirming with her once again that what he was going to do was really really alright with her. Even if his former parents had disowned him it would never change the fact that Jazz was his sister, Ancients even Jason had assured him about that fact.
"Okay Danny, you can do that. You faced worse things. This is gonna be childsplay."
A knock on his door startled him out of his pacing and Danny ended up floating a little as his brother opened his door and peaked in. "You okay there little spooks?"
"'m fine!" He hurriedly said as Jason raised an eyebrow. Danny just grabbed the still innocently looking brown folder and pushed the elder out of his room who only chuckled and ruffled his hair.
"You know I haven't thank you yet for making me win that bet."
"Ancients, you just changed your bet with my friends when I told you my plan!"
"Still won it."
"Let's just go down."
Once they arrived in the dining room Danny couldn't help but swallow as he took a seat next to Jason and noted how everyone plus extended / unofficial family was there. The brown folder lay innocently across his lap and he could see Damian eyeing it from the corner of his eyes. Great if the youngest had already seen it then the others surely had noticed Danny carrying around that folder with him too. How was he going to bring it up now? Should he do it now or wait? It wasn't too late to just run now? He could disintegrate it, but that would make all the help Tim gave him for nothing. Maybe-
A pat on his shoulder brought him out of his starting spiral and Danny looked up at Jason who was nodding with his head in Bruce's direction. Tim was also giving him an encouraging smile and also motioned for him to get it over with. Did the two know he was contemplating running away now? He shook his head.
Okay he could do it. Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves Danny cleared his throat, gaining everyone's attention.
"Uhm, Bruce? I was wondering…" The words good stuck in his throat but the man in question looked at him waiting for him patiently as the others slowly quieted down giving him curious looks except for Jason and Tim. "...could you maybe take a look at these papers?"
He carefully slid the folder over the table but with nothing in his hands now he started wringing the end of his shirt. "Maybe you could sign them, you know, just for legality."
"I thought Jason was your legal guardian? Why would Bruce need to sign when Jason could…" Dick looked confused at first but trailed off when he leaned over to get a glimpse of the papers Bruce had been leafing through before the man froze.
There was a long moment of silence before Dick suddenly sprung up from his seat nearly vaulting over the table and hugged Danny squealing and confusing everyone else at the table. While Bruce finally unfroze, opening his mouth to ask Alfred for a pen that the butler was already holding out to him with a knowing smile.
"It is legal now, Daniel James Todd-Wayne."
The moment Bruce's words registered with everyone else Danny got tackled into a group hug as words like 'Finally!' Or 'You kept us waiting long enough.' reached his ears. Looks like he really shouldn't have had anything to worry about his official adoption into the Wayne family.
Well he guessed the next time a reporter asked him he could answer, 'Yes, he was Jason's biological brother.', 'Yes, he was a Wayne now.', 'Yes, Bruce had adopted him.' , 'No he would still refuse to attend any of the Galas the rest of his family go to.'

Seonho was born the eldest child to two immigrant parents, Seongmin Ryu and Mina Park, who moved to the United States of America from South Korea when Mina was pregnant with Seonho after she was disowned by her parents who disapproved of Seongmin. His biological father walked out on Seonho, his mother, and two of his younger siblings when he was five years old and Seonho has always believed that they were better off without him.
After being homeless and hopping between the streets and halfways houses after the abandonment, his mother remarried three years to Seonho’s stepfather, Jalen Jones, who would become the only Dad that Seonho acknowledged in his life. Jalen adopted the three eldest children upon his marriage to Mina and they all took on his last name. Three more children would enter the fold throughout the years.
Early on in his childhood, Seonho fell in love with music thanks to Jalen’s side-gig playing the saxophone in a jazz band. He would sing along to every Disney movie and musical and tried to groove to the beat. While he was initially clumsy on his feet, his mother fondly nicknaming him Bambi, he was determined to learn how to dance. He had a talented ear for music, picking up musical instruments and mastering them with an ease. His parents encouraged his passion as best they could, ensuring that they budgeted well enough to afford sending Seonho to his music lessons. While performing at the city market, he was scouted by a Korean entertainment agency at the age of thirteen.
However, he was still a trainee when he flew back home and prematurely ended his contract due to his stepfather dying suddenly of a ruptured brain aneurysm as a result of overworking. After losing their home to foreclosure, the fragmented family relocated to Denver, Colorado.
As the oldest child, he assumed a great deal of responsibility in the household. While he wanted to drop out of school, his mother insisted that he stay enrolled and graduate. He earned money any way that he could to help keep the household, mowing lawns during the summer and working manual labor in the evenings. Sometimes, he would resort to not-so-legal methods if need be.
His music became all the more dear to him, filling the gaping holes in his chest that were created from his dream continually slipping through his fingers. He could never catch a break after that.
A year before Seonho graduated from high school, his mother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. After it came to the point that his mother could no longer properly take care of them or herself, she was admitted into a longterm care facility by order of the municipality. At that point, Seonho was eighteen and filed for guardianship of his siblings who had been sent to foster care, which he would eventually be granted after a months' long battle with the courts. He also became the conservator of his mother’s well-being.
It's been hard, yet Seonho kept going anyway. See, he’s a hopeful guy, despite everything, resilient at his core, and even if it meant that he had to work at least 80 hours a week and juggle too many bills and loans, he was going to do it with a smile.
There have been hard days, of course. Days where he would visit his mother and she would call him by the name of a man best left forgotten.
Seonho insists that he provide for his family and ensure that each of his siblings focus on their studies, graduate from school, and are afforded opportunities that he did not have.
Seonho often distracts himself by throwing himself into helping people as a by-product of measuring his self-worth by what he can do for other people (thanks, capitalism). This makes him a bit of a doormat, yet not a naïve, unaware one. He just has decided it’s not worth ruffling feathers, and he can’t take risks like he otherwise would out of fear of disrupting what little stability he has been able to achieve for his family.

I would love to hear more about your headcanons for pre-outbreak Frank, please! 💕
Okay, so I don't remember exactly what I have talked about in the past, so I'm just gonna lay it all out here.
Frank was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. His father worked in a factory, and his mother stayed at home for most of his childhood. However, later in his teens, she went to work as a secretary to make extra money.
Frank went to art school after he graduated but eventually dropped out because he didn't feel like his art fit in a college environment. At least that's what he tells everyone, but it's really because his father refused to pay for his tuition any longer after he came out.
Frank came out a year into going to college. His father disowned him, but his mother stuck by his side. Eventually, his parents separated, and he broke all ties with his father.
He had an older brother and a younger brother.
He lived in California for a long time and worked several different jobs; the ones he had the longest were as a party planner, EMT, and at-home nurse.
His partner of 10 years died in the early days of the AIDS crisis, which pushed him to be very involved with all the protests against the government trying to hide the true scoop of the disease.
He decided to get his nursing degree specifically because of the time he spent taking care of his friends who got sick, and no one else would come near them.
He started another serious relationship with Sam a man he meet will biking, Sam was a fair bit younger then him, but they really hit it off. Things where going well, they had a place together, two stubborn cats and a lot of house plants.
But then, his mother was diagnosed with ALS. She got along fine for a while, but then she started to decline. Frank moved back home to Baltimore to help take care of her. His older brother would pitch in money to help with a night nurse, but other wise it was Frank who took care of her in her final days.
Frank invited Sam to Baltimore, but Sam said no. He had too much going on at work and couldn't just leave his friends. He told Frank he might come later in the year, but eventually, he broke it off with Frank over the phone. It was a shitty breakup, and Frank decided there, and then he wasn't gonna get into any more serious relationships for a while.
Once his mother died, Frank decided to stay behind and get her house all settled, then move back to California; a week later, the outbreak happened.
So that's my pre-outbreak headcannon for Frank. I have some headcannons for what he did while in the QZ, but we can do those another day. I hope this answers your question, @hypnotisedfireflies

REVIEW: Breaking Bad Season 2 Episode 4 - Down (SPOILERS)
S2E4: Down
Written by Sam Caitlin
Directed by John Dahl
Hello everyone, sorry for not updating this project for 2 months (i think) because I had to move somewhere else for my last year in university and I didn't have a computer of my own until then, so now I get to continue this project. I hope I can make it up to y'all.
Walt and Jesse can't catch a break, can they? Walt and Jesse still need time to start cooking again because of that, they have to face their consequences. And telephone breaking multiple times throughout the ep, how fun. We still haven't seen them start again at the end of the episode and yet this episode ended up being kinda my favorite episode of the season so far.
Starting with Jesse's plot, you can see how much he has lost after the fallout with Tuco. He suffers the worst. He loses his house which was given to him by his aunt. His parents disown him. His friends don't help him stay in their houses. He lost his bike and stuff. He barely get any money from Walt. He breaks into the closed lot and steps in the toilet. Gets kicked out by the owner of the lot and he has no choice but to take back his RV. I really feel awful for Jesse here. While he did bring this on himself, he suffers from his consequences much worse than Walt is having. Walt insisted they should start cooking for Tuco, he got greedy over it and he is still living at his comfy home whereas Jesse got homeless. It's a good example of how much addicts get unnecessarily punished for it. Jesse still tries to make amends with his mother but his mother has enough of him, so he lashes out to her and cusses at her which isn't how to deal with it but in the end, you do feel bad for Jesse here despite him still being a drug dealer.
Walt's case is much more emotional. Walt Jr decides to have his own name, instead of carrying his father's name, calls himself Flynn from now on and he is unhappy with how closed his father is. He lost his father and now he is back pretending everything is okay. Making breakfasts for the family and even teaching Flynn how to drive. But none of that works. His family is angry with him for rightful reasons. and Walt realizes that. Then there is Skyler who refuses to talk with Walt after Walt continues to lie to her face. It was sad seeing that all the times Skyler went outside, she went outside for smoking which was a real depressing way to end an episode. Skyler gets one last talk with Walter, Walter keeps apologizing to her but still plays the dumb which drives Skyler away from him. All the attempts at Walt to make amends with the family fails because all he does is gestures and meaningless apologies. I love how strong the dialogue between Walt and Skyler is written here.
And finally we see Jesse parking RV near Walt's house which pisses Walt off and then we see one of the best acted scenes of this season. Cranston and Paul sells us on the frustration between these characters. Cranston is great at playing the manipulative Walt, whereas Paul excels at the furious Jesse. And this is when they see, they have no one but each other. Walt gives back half of the money to Jesse which should be a good partnership build up from now on but it isn't... He still took more than half of the money which isn't that much but it plays into the idea that Walt will never be fair to Jesse.
After 2 months of my break, I finally get to resume my Breaking Bad rewatch with this incredible episode. It may not be all that plot building but the character work makes entirety of the episode which is why It is my favorite episode of the season at the moment.
Grade: 10/10

Sam Wilson Headcanons That Have Nothing To Do with Bucky Because I’m Mad About the MTV Awards
-Sam Wilson has his Master’s in Social Work. He originally wanted to work with youth in a school setting but then his PTSD got worse and he went to a support group and found his calling
-He completed his BSW+MSW in four years using the GI Bill + other scholarships
-He played baseball and did pole vault in high school. He also ran the 3200x4 for track but definitely preferred pole vaulting
-He was a Momma’s boy, thru and thru
-He got into exactly one fight in high school and it was because someone talked mess about Sarah so he rocked their shit. His dad took him out for ice cream when he got suspended
-Speaking of which, Sam was terrified of coming out to his dad, a Baptist preacher, and it caused him to try to distance himself from being close to his dad. When he finally did come out, at 15, his dad told him that he knew, that he loved Sam, and that God had created him exactly as he was.
-One of his most prized possession is a beautifully letter his father wrote him that includes the words “queer people are holy.” He sobbed when he first read it and every single time since
-when Sarah’s husband died, (in the midst of Sam looking for Bucky) Sam moved down to NOLA for a few weeks to help Sarah with her newborn and toddler
-the “Uncle Sam” thing has been a running joke ever since Sarah’s oldest was born.
-Sam attended “Donuts with Dads” so that Cass wouldn’t feel left out
-The first time his nephew gave him Father’s Day cards, he cried and his youngest nephew crawled in his lap and said, “it’s okay, Uncle Sam.” And his older nephew was like, “it means we love you.”
-Sam has provided medical care at Black Lives Matter protests since 2012, and he and some friends went to Ferguson in 2014 to provide healthcare
-he loves food trucks. He also definitely has the Okra app so whenever he travels he knows which Black opened restaurants to travel
-he played ultimate frisbee in college and got involved in it when he met another vet in college that really enjoyed the sport
-he has a soft spot for dogs and he definitely considering getting one to train as a therapy dog before he started working for Cap
-although he doesn’t do group at the VA anymore, he volunteers whenever he can
-he’s done a marathon to raise awareness for Veteran mental health
-running helped him cope with his PTSD and gave him time to reflect and think
-he does not really like drinking water, as evidence by the fact he gets back from a run and reaches for a refreshing glass of ORANGE JUICE
-he tells people his favorite Star Wars trilogy is the sequels because it pisses people off
-he was a HUGE Blerd as a kid
-he played the trumpet in high school and was actually pretty good about it
-his favorite subject in school was English
-he actually enjoyed physics and other math classes and liked it even moreso after doing para-rescue because that’s what flying is
-he and Sarah are sure to schedule monthly phone calls to check in. He kept those up even while on the run
-he loves Marvin Gaye but also Kendrick Lamar, Kevin Gates, Taylor Swift, Boys II Men, and Fall Out Boy. He’ll also listen to anything at least once
-he never “like” reacts on Facebook unless he’s feeling petty and passive aggressive
-he’s marched in several pride parades and has helped facilitate events for Black LGBT youth
-he definitely accidentally comes out to a Captain America fan because he can’t resist making a pun about being gay. It’s a young 19 year old queer kid from a homophobic home and their eyes go wide and they promise they would never out Sam but that they’re so glad they know at least one hero that is like them
-Sam gets the kid’s name and finds out they’re a student at MIT who has been disowned by their parents and forwards their info to Pepper to make sure their college, housing, and other necessities are paid for
-he totally bought Sarah a copy of “Go the Fuck to Sleep” when her kid was born. And definitely followed it up with a copy of “You Have to Fucking Eat.”
-his favorite book is “The Snowy Day” because he fell in love with it as a kid but if anyone asks his default is either “Lord of the Rings” or “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” both books he loved but not his favorite
-his nephews are his favorite people on this planet and he would literally move heaven and earth for their safety

“Back to the Future”: Thoughts, commentary, and general ramblings on the (bonkers) novel by George Gipe. Pt 4
Parts: 1, 2, 3
Guess what? Posting another one of these today because I make the rules around here. Two-for-one special, everyone.
- After taking some time to enjoy the wonders of 1955 radio, Marty finally decides he should get moving and figure out how to get back to 1985. He wanders into town and to the cafe, where he tries to order his Tab and Pepsi Free, and Lou eventually brings him water and black coffee. We are told that Marty does not like his coffee black, and there's additional banter as he asks for Sweet 'n' Low and explains to a confused and impatient Lou that it's a calorie-free, artificial sweetener. And, as I've wondered in the past when watching the movie, I'm left curious as to if Marty's not wanting sugar is specific to this particular scenario--because he's already frazzled and sugar will make him jittery--or if he makes a point to avoid sugar in general for dietary or health reasons. I could see either one being true for this more mysterious book-Marty, but for movie-Marty I definitely lean towards the first theory. Especially seeing as, if movie-Marty is trying to limit his sugar intake, all of the sweets on his nightstand and shelf of his room tell me he isn't doing a very good job, lol.
- Marty tries to pay for his coffee with a 20-dollar bill, which makes Lou even more suspicious because what kid in 1955 is walking around with that kind of cash? Marty explains to Lou that he is, "a spoiled rich kid."
- When Biff is tormenting George in the cafe, he does deliver his, "What are you looking at, butthead?" line to Marty, which piques my interest since I've heard Tom Wilson has claimed to have added that little catchphrase on his own during filming. So either that isn't true or this book was in fact being put together while they were actively filming, and Biff's signature phrase was added in.
- Instead of just staring at George in wonderment and fear, Marty doesn't give a second thought to chatting away to his future father. Much like at dinner with his family, book-Marty doesn't shut up and tries to prove he knows George by doing the whole, I know your birthday and parents names, etc thing. One particularly interesting fact he drops is that George's father enlisted in WWI at 16, was sent to France, and then immediately sent back home upon his age being found out. George is understandably like ????? and Marty is having a blast messing with his dad's head, and then he tells George that he's his GUARDIAN ANGEL (book-Marty, why are you like this??)
- Marty goes to George's house, and he considers going inside but changes his mind out of fear of running into his grandmother. He's convinced she'll be able to "sense" who he is and it'll scare her. The book also makes mention that Marty was very close to his Grandma Sylvia, which is a lovely little detail. I've always wondered about Marty's relationship with his grandparents.
- After Sam Baines hits Marty with his car (we're told that Marty is crouched when it happens, and the fender hits his shoulder and head--ouch) the man kneels next to Marty and prays, "Please God, let him be all right. I can't afford to be sued." *gestures emphatically to Sam* Ladies and gents: Grandpa Baines! Would love to know more about this guy and his relationship with his grandchildren. Especially when it comes to him saying Marty is an idiot & his "You ever have a kid who acts that way, I'll disown you," line. Does Grandpa Baines soften up over time? Or is he just a difficult, critical kind of man overall, even when his own grandkids come along? Does 1985 Sam think his own grandson is an idiot?? (A thought which makes me sad)
- Mrs. Baines asks Marty how long he's been part of the circus, since his clothes are so funny. He's wearing green shoes and a t-shirt with a U.S. Patent Office facsimile. This:
Tumblr media
I mean...weird for '55, sure, but not exactly "You look like you're in the circus" worthy.
- Okay. So. We are getting a much better picture of Sam Baines in the book than we're able to in the movie. So far, he is noted as being "gruff", speaking "coldly", and he snaps at Lorraine after a comment she makes. And Stella Baines is said to have "rather sad" eyes. Which is all making me lean much more towards the headcanon that he's just not a very friendly man and probably not too warm of a grandfather.
- Also, once Sam rolls the TV over to the table so they can watch, we get this: "Mrs. Baines sighed wearily. About the only time she commanded attention was during dinner hour. Now Sam had found a way to take that away from her. But she was wise enough to know she couldn't fight it." :(((
I suppose I'll end there for now. This book is weird in many ways, but I'm so enjoying it as a companion to the movie. Seeing as everything in here was, at one point, in the script is adding lots of great layers to the BTTF universe.

Sealed with a kiss
Tumblr media
Pairing: Tom Holland x reader
Warning: hurt/comfort, angst, sex tape threatening, swearing.
Series masterlist
Playlist
A/n: i wrote this at 1:00am, I'm sleep deprived. So it's kinda not good. So I apologise in advance.
Chapter - 7
Saturday approached quicker than you thought.
You and Tom were getting ready to go to his house. The house he and you were living right now was only 2 hours away from there. He only lives here because of some shooting he was doing in this area. You moved to Kingston upon Thames with Joshua a year ago, you were actually from LA.
You were wearing a white floral sundress and a white sneaker. You put your hair into a messy bun. Tom was wearing a white t-shirt and a blue jean with a white sneaker.
“Hey, look we match.” You said to Tom noticing you both were wearing white.
He let out a chuckle.
“Are you ready?” he asked you.
“Yeah, we can leave now.”
You created a playlist for the ride. You both listened to it and enjoyed it. The car ride was so fun.
Tom parked his car in the drive way. His home was pretty huge. It looked beautiful.
Tom’s mom hugged you and Tom as soon as you entered the house.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Holland.” You said.
“Call me Nikki or mom no need for formality, y/n. it’s pleasure to meet you too. Tom used to talk a lot about you while he was filming for infinity war.”
“He did?” you asked surprised at the same time tom said, “Mom stop, can we not talk about that.”
“Don’t listen to him. I want to hear more about it.” You said to her.
“Mom, please don’t.” Tom pleaded.
You both ignored him. You and Nikki went into the kitchen where she was cooking something.
After you both left Tom gave belly rub to Tessa.
You helped her to cook as she told you about how Tom used to talk about you most of the time. You didn’t expect this at all.
Paddy and Tom’s dad entered the kitchen.
You introduced yourself to them.
“Why does Tom looks pissed?” Paddy asked
“Maybe because I’m telling y/n about how he used to talk about her.”
“Yeah while he was filming for infinity war, right? He was whining why they killed your character he wouldn’t be able to film with you against.” Paddy said.
“where is he, now?” you asked him.
“He is in his room playing some video games with Sam, Harry and Harrison.”
“If you don’t mind can you show me where it is.”
“yeah sure.”
Paddy led you to Tom’s room.
You opened the door revealing the Sam and Harrison play furiously while Tom was cheering Harrison and Harry was cheering Sam.
Tom saw you and panic filled his eyes but he didn’t show it much. You smiled mischievous at him.
“Lunch is ready. Everyone came to eat.” Nikki announced as she set the food on the dinning table.
“coming mom.” Tom said.
Harrison and Sam turned off the video game.
They said hi when they saw you standing there.
Harrison, Sam and Harry left leaving you and Tom alone in his room.
“So what did my mom said about me?” he asked you.
“Nothing.” You lied. You don’t why you lied something inside you stopped you from telling the truth.
“oh okay. Then can we go to eat, darling.”
You both went to eat. You sat between Tom and Harrison. Tom was holding your hand under the table. You talked to Harrison while eating. Tom was slightly jealous.
“So y/n what are your parents doing?” Tom’s dad asked you.
“oh my parents? They…they disowned me. They wanted me to study for doctor but I wanted to become an actor. They said it’s a pretty useless thing and they don’t need me in their house if don’t study for doctor.” You said a tear drop falling down your face.
“I’m so sorry I shouldn’t have asked you about them.”
“Don’t worry, darling. Consider us your parents now.” Nikki said giving a small smile.
“It’s okay. I’m here.” Tom said giving a kiss on your crown.
“Let’s forget about this and talk about something else.” You said wiping your tears.
It’s was 10:00pm and you both were back at his home.
Tom was in the restroom. You received a video from Joshua.
You opened it. It was a sex tape of him going down on you. You closed it immediately. You didn’t even know how he managed to film that.
Then you received two messages. You opened it.
Joshua
*Video*
You and Tom look a little bit too happy. Maybe I should leak this video.
Why are you doing this?
Because you belong with me but not him.
You felt your hot tears falling down your cheeks. Tom entered the room. You wiped your tears.
“What happened? Are you okay?” he asked you sitting next to you. Concern written all over his face.
“Yeah I’m fine.”
“I literally saw you crying. Don’t lie.”
You showed him the messages from Joshua.
He muttered something like “I’m going fucking kill him.”
“Don’t worry I’ll take care of it.” He said giving a hug.
“how?”
“Just trust me. I’ll take care of it.”
Do you trust him? Yes, you did. You trusted him with your whole life. Even though It was dangerous thing to do.
“Now, Change your clothes and get into bed.” He said.
You changed into one of Tom’s hoodie and a shorts and went to sleep cuddling with Tom.

Loving You (Wanda Maximoff/Reader)
Summary : The worst that could ever happen just happened to you.
You were a beta. Being an omega could’ve been better but no, God decided to fuck you up.
In a world, where Alphas and Omegas are considered the best, being a beta meant that you were just going to be an average person. Always in the middle.
People don’t look the same at you. You had potential. At the top of your classes, taking all of the AP Classes. Now, you doubt that even Colleges would consider you.
Ever since, Asami Sato has proven that even Omegas can change the world, people have been considering them as equal to Alphas… but never Betas. When has a Beta ever change the world?
So you shut up and hide from the world as you try to graduate and maybe get a job in your Family’s Company, R Firm.
But a chance encounter with a gorgeous Omega will change everything up.
-
Warnings : Omegaverse. Beta!Reader x Omega!Wanda Maximoff.
-
New series! After a month. College does seem to hate me that much.
You sigh as you trudge the halls of your high school. It was lunch break and almost everyone is in the cafeteria, obviously not you, though. You’ve been reading inside the library when Miss Danvers kicked you out, saying that she needs her lunch break too. You sigh and sit in front of your locker. You open up your book and begin reading.
Reading is one of the only things you could enjoy these days… you still remember the day you got your evaluation test.
-
You tremble as you stare at your test result. You were a beta. Tears spring up in your eyes but you quickly wipe them away. You could hear some people cry and some sniffle. You guess they were betas too.
“Y/LN?” You stop and turn to Janine Rivera, she was one of the juniors. A popular Omega who is in your AP English Class.
“Yes?”
“Do you want to-?” You stop and gulp. Janine cuts off herself and gets your test result. You don’t fight her because it’s better to just rip the band-aid off. She scoffs and shoves the result back to you. “Megan!” Another girl looks at Janine. “Cross off Y/LN! She’s a Beta!” She shouts and everyone quiets down. You take a deep breath and walk off. The murmurs then start. You feel tears again in your eyes and you wipe them away again.
You walk home because inside your school felt so suffocating. People were going home anyway to tell their families their evaluation result. As you stood in front of your house, you feel your stomach cave in. You’re afraid to face your parents. Your Alpha Mother would surely get angry. Even your Omega ma would look at you with disappointment. Your two Alpha sisters would get disgusted. Just imagining their reactions make you cry.
“Y/N?” Your sister, Alsie, gets out of her car and you cry even more. She quickly kneels besides you. “What’s wrong!?” You refuse to answer so she guides you inside. “Ma!?” Your Omega Mother, Dahlia rushes downstairs and gets to you.
“Y/N!? Are you okay?”
“M-ma.” You stutter and cry even more. Your other sister, Valerie, gets downstairs too and fusses over you. You faint and they panic even more.
When you came to your sense, you’re in the living room with your Alpha Mother, Zale, is hovering over you. She sighs in relief and shouts that you’re okay. She was about to leave and you bite your lip as you grab her arm.
“Mom.” You say weakly and Dahlia gives you a glass of water. You sit up and gulp it down in one go.
“What’s wrong, little one?” Zale asks gently and you try not to cry again. God, their gentle affections and kindness, will it go away once you tell them what you really are? That you’re just a Beta and not like them? Will they throw you out? Disown you? You take a deep breath and you look at them.
“I-I” You tremble and put the glass on the coffee table. “I’m a Beta.” You look down and clench your fists, waiting for their reply.
“Oh, Jesus, it was just her evaluation result.” You look up and see as your all of your family collectively sigh in relief.
“Damn it, Y/N, don’t scare us like that.”
“My little sister is a goddamn drama queen, who freaking guessed?” Zale slaps Valerie softly on her arm.
“Why were you so afraid, anak?”
“I thought you guys would get angry and disown me.” You sniffle and Dahlia quickly hushes you and hugs you.
“Y/N, little one, that doesn’t matter to us.”
“Dude, that’s like the least of our concerns.”
“Oh? What matters most then, Val?” Valerie glares at Alsie and look away. “Your potential mate, that girl call-“ Valerie screeches and attacks Alsie who dodges quickly. You laugh at their antics and everyone looks relieved at you. They hug you and you hug them back. Grateful that they accepted you.
-
You were just humming to a song that’s been stuck inside your head when someone calls out.
“Excuse me?” You look up and gulp. The girl looked stunning and words seem to be stuck in your mouth. It felt like everything around you was moving slowly.
“Y-yes?” God, human interaction was not a daily occurrence for you, people tended to avoid you like the plague in School and the house is quieter now that both Zale and Alsie are off to college. Both of your moms never push you to talk about anything and simply bonds with you through food and TV.
“Can you tell me where I would find this classroom?” She pushes the schedule onto you and you hum. You knew the school halls like the back of your hand, it was easier to navigate that way. You felt your heart beat faster as you give it back.
“Yeah. You should take a left there and it should be the fourth room on the right.” You point it out and she nods. She smiles at you and you feel your heart skip a beat.
“Thanks, stranger.” You nod.
“Wanda!” Someone calls out and you both turn to the newcomer. “You know where the classroom is?”
Yeah. Come on.” They both turn to leave and you stare after them. Wanda looks back and waves at you. You simply put your hand up in a lame attempt to reciprocate.
“Fuck.” You whisper softly and put your hand to your chest. You will yourself to calm down before resuming to read your book.
-
You yawn as you step inside the cafeteria. It’s been a week since you gave Wanda directions… a week since and you’ve been avoiding her. Every time she would wave her hand at you, you’ll turn to the other direction. Anytime she tries to call you, you would run the other way. It was hard since she’s practically a dog just begging for your attention… this is why you really prefer cats.
You get a tray and get your usual lunch. You’re not in the library since Miss Danvers apparently quitted and even though students usually man the counter, you’ve decided to eat like a normal person this day.
“Hey!” Wanda calls out and you felt your stomach drop. She was with the Avengers. They were the most popular group in school, even more than Seniors despite being Sophomores like you.
Tony and Vision Stark are smart, and people are saying that they’re going to take the world in a few years. With Stark Industries, they might as well do that.
Natasha Romanoff is the heir to the Romanoff Airlines, and she has been basically to everywhere and knows many languages.
Angel Garcia is one of the only people who seem to take every AP classes like you. She’s a smart Omega that you have no doubt will take the world in a storm. Some says she’s a power Omega to Natasha.
Pepper Potts is already showing signs of a great businesswoman and is already interning at Stark Industries. She’s the soulmate of Tony Stark.
Steve Rogers is another example of a power Omega, with his buff body and being the captain and quarterback of the football team.
James ‘Bucky’ Barnes is an Alpha who is also the ace of the Basketball team. He’s the Alpha of Steve Rogers.
Thor Odinson is an Alpha who can make girls wet their panties without doing anything but existing. He’s the heir to Mjolnir Constructions.
Sam Wilson is an Alpha who loves flying more than anything else, he’s father is a pilot at Romanoff Airlines.
You gulp and turn away from her. Walking to a smaller table with no one. You turn to look and see Wanda’s disappointed face. You sigh as you eat and take your phone out. You read fanfics as you eat your lunch.
It’s not like the Betas at the school have not invited you to eat with them but you preferred to be alone, talking to no one and be in your own world.
-
Wanda sighs and turns back to their table.
“Something wrong, младшая сестра?” Pietro asks and Wanda huffs. She gets her tray and was about to go to you when Sam grabs her arm.
“I wouldn’t go to Y/LN. She’s a Beta.” She stops at that and pulls away from him.
“So what? Is that a sin?” Natasha scoffs at Wanda.
“It means she’s a trying hard nobody.” Wanda glares at her and Natasha smiles.
“She’s still in most of the AP classes though.” Angel says and Tony scoffs.
“Only because her mom and sisters threatened to sue if they didn’t let her.”
“Jesus, what a spoiled brat.” Wanda’s eye twitches at that and she drags Pietro away from them.
“THOSE are you new friends?”
“Yeah? They’re the coolest people, Wands, trust me.”
“Coolest? They’re judging someone based on their second gender.”
“It’s the truth, though.” Wanda crosses her arms and Pietro shrugs. “Betas are just average people, Wands, don’t put too much faith in them.” Wanda huffs and looks at you but you were already gone.
-
You stretch your body before going back into your research. You’re inside the library after school and you’ve already texted your moms about being late.
“Is this seat taken?” You look up and see Wanda with a book of her own. You shake your head. “Do you mind?” You shake your head again and she sits down besides you. You were so focused on doing you research that you haven’t noticed that Wanda has been staring at you. You only notice that she hasn’t opened her book yet. You look to her and meet her eyes.
“Um?” You blush and Wanda looks away as she opens her book. “Is that The Flower Girl Wore Celery?” Wanda nods and you squeal lightly. “They have this? Where’d you find it?”
“In the literature section? There’s a whole lot of Children’s books there.” You sigh.
“Maybe after I finish this dreadful thing.”
“I’m Wanda by the way.” She holds out her hand and you take it while blushing.
“Right. I’m Y/N.” Wanda smiles at you and you gulp.
“Nice to meet you, Y/N.” You nod and try to focus on the research. You finally finish after an hour and you stretch your body.
“Finally done.” You say and Wanda hums. She’s already finished the Children’s book and was now reading a novel.
“Here.” She gives you the book and you smile at her.
“Thanks.” You begin reading the book.
Your phone rings just as you finish the book, you quickly answer it and it was your Mom.
“Y/N? Are you still finishing your research?”
“No. I’m already done, just going to return all the books that I’ve borrowed.”
“Okay. Your Ma is already cooking dinner.”
“Alright. I’ll finish up and go home.”
“See you later, little one.”
“Yeah. Bye, mom.” You hang up and sigh.
“You okay?” Wanda asks and you hum.
“Just a little sore.” You gather all of your things and put them into your bag.
“You’re leaving?”
“Yep. Ma’s cooking and my mom’s going to get angry if I’m not home by the time she finishes.”
“Let me help you.”
“You sure? Some of these reference books are heavy.”
“Yep.” She picks up the books that you left behind and follows you. You begin returning the books while Wanda hovers behind you. “You’ve been avoiding me.” You drop the last book in your hand and it drops on your foot. You whimper quietly and pick it up. You immediately sit and Wanda looks down you. “You okay?”
“F-fine.” You stutter and stand. You take all the remaining books from her and return them. After you return the last one you notice Wanda and blush. You look down. “Sorry.”
“For what, exactly?” She gets into your vision and you sigh.
“For avoiding you? Getting involved with me won’t do you any good.” You pick up your bag and leave the library with her.
“Why not?” You sigh.
“Because I’m a Beta. And you’re an Omega.”
“So what?” You look at her, not believing her words…
“I’m a Beta, Wanda, you’re an Omega, you should hang out with another Omega or an Alpha, not a Beta like me.” You get something from your bag and present it to her. It was a bookmark, a simple one with just words on them. “My apologies and try to read all the books written on it. They’re all pretty good.” Pietro calls out to Wanda and you both turn to him. “I have to go.” You leave her behind and Wanda sighs. She smiles as she reads the bookmark’s contents.

Looking for RP
Tumblr or Discord (Tumblr preferred) My characters are mainly faction neutral, but there are some exceptions regarding certain races - ask away and we shall see if we can make it work. OCs are under the read more section.
Available characters: - Arlyn Zien - kultiran singer/former tidesage apprentice
Tumblr media
(art by Lilyia_Art over twitter) She can be found in Boralus, Kul Tiras in general, or potentially in SW. Works as a singer (sometimes also helps out as waitress and bartender) in the tavern owned by the elderly couple who took her, and owns a flat on the second floor of a building in Boralus. Her original family resided in Stormsong and were all tidesages, so she was sent to the school in Boralus to continue the tradition. Too free-spirited, she was kicked out and instead of going back home, she stayed on the streets of Boralus, knowing she was to be disowned anyway. After years on the street, she was taken in by her current parents, thanks to their son Jake, whom she became good friends with. Sadly he passed away in an incident, which also fuels Arlyn's hate of thornspeakers. She loves alcohol and tavern brawls, often sports a blackeye from said brawls and enjoys the free drinks she gets from regulars thanks to her wink. - Samantha Verren - worgen warrior/brawler
Tumblr media
(art by me) She can be found in SW and its surrounding area mainly, but almost any location works that has a brawling arena or ring she's invited to participate in. She escaped the fall of Gilneas with her mother, the rest of her famiyl dead to give them enough time, though she also got the worgen curse. Former military and former SW city guard member, now a brawler full-time. Missing her right eye from the recent Scourge invasion. Enhanced regeneration, senses and physique even in human form as she trained how to better harness her worgen powers. Her lover Arabella was also a member of the city guard, but after being deemed medically unfit for duty due to injuries suffered during the recent Scourge invasion, she ended up moving in with Sam. - Sharyssa Dustshade - nightborne arcanist
Tumblr media
(art by me) She can be found in Suramar and its vicinity or Dalaran. Heir to House Soursea, but is down to earth and kind. Her right eye is an enchanted ruby which works as mana storage and spell amplifier. She tried to steal more arcwine to those in need, but was caught and was tortured, hence the prosthetic eye. Her main focus is arcane magic - with sensor-type as her specialty (wards, detection, perception)- but is okay with ice magic and sucks when it comes to fire magic. Took some classes at the Kirin Tor too due to the help of her uncle, who is an honorary member. Experimenting with enchantments is one of her main hobbies. Available on request (need a suitable situation/setting and discussion first): - Brigitte Fársaw - kul tiran thornspeaker
Tumblr media
(art by me) She can be found in Drustvar and Boralus mainly, but the whole of Kul Tiras works, and so can SW under circumstances. Originally from a small village in Drustvar, thigns went wrong when her mother and the coven she led tried to control a wicked construct but it run amok, destroying the place. Just recently she lost most of her left arm when she was forced to enter Thros, but was granted a new one by a drust witch who planned to take over her body. The witch failed and Brigitte managed to return, changed as she was. She is hard to interact with, the distrust about her ragged looks engraved into her heart. That said, she's no longer a passive bystander, but will return any attempt to harm her ruthlessly, without a shred of kindness.
- Asharinhun Feralclaw - night elf druid
Tumblr media
(art by me) Currently can be found in Hyjal and the surrounding area; in SW or Dalaran depending on the circumstances. Over four thousand years old, he had his share of experiences, including bullying from other envious druid trainees. being born with antlers marked his potential, but his inability to use restoration magic became the focus of the jealous. He hates undead and resents orcs. Asha gets along with tauren druids the most, disliking fellow kaldorei for reasons of his own. Titled Archdruid among others during the latest Legion invasion, he focuses his rage to call down lightning storms, other destructive nature spells, or simply into the huge bear form he shifts into in battle. He was in Darkshore when the Night Warrior ritual took place, which changed the color of his originally amber eyes. He has two (now adult) daughters: Kiela and Elyena, sadly their mother passed away. He didn't look for a new lover, but fate had something else in mind and now he has a wife, Serena (yes, a blood elf).
The rest of the OCs (https://asharinhun.tumblr.com/oclist) can also be available upon request, message me for further details on them

Constellations Ch. 1
@ladylynse This is all your fault :)
Next Chapter
Draco sat stiffly on the bench next to him. For all that Danny had joked and teased, Draco never really lost the tenseness in his shoulders around him. Everything about him, in the enormous shadow of the house they currently sat under, was controlled and measured in regards to Danny’s presence.
Danny however was sprawled on the ground playing with Spooky. His robes fanned out around him, picking up all sorts of grass and dirt on the expensive fabric. Danny had made his thoughts on robes very clear from the beginning of this summer; when the elder Malfoy’s had called in a very discreet tailor to dress Danny up like the wizard he very much was not.
“To keep up appearances.” Lucius had said.
Danny would have told him exactly where to shove the robes if it hadn’t been for the sad look crossing Narcissa’s face in a flash, or the snidely pleading look Draco had shot him.
Honestly. How anyone could look both snide and pleading at the same time was beyond him.
“Mother is allowing me to spend next summer in America.”
Danny paused in trying to train Spooky to play dead. “With us?”
Draco shot him his patented exactly-how-much-of-an-idiot-are-you looks he usually reserved for the Gryffindors he whines about all the time. “Who else would I go to?”
“I don’t know. You could always have a long lost twin or something. Oh wait….”
Draco let out a huff, but the twitching of his mouth showed his amusement, “You aren’t as funny as you think you are.”
“Uhh, I’m hilarious thank you very much.”
They were silent once again. Danny slowly sat up, brushing grass and leaves off his robes. He looked at Draco, watching as his eyes constantly flit back and forth across the grounds. It had taken a while for Danny to get why he did this.
At first he thought Draco was watching for danger, which was fair. Danny would do the same thing sometimes, watching for ghosts during a calm week because he gets anxious when no one has attacked him for a while. (Which was a whole nother thing he was pointedly not thinking about.) But Draco didn’t do it when they were holed up in their room and Draco was explaining potions and wizard astronomy while Danny tried to explain video games and rocket ships.
Danny actually preferred when they were arguing in the bedroom, because he saw a passion burn in Draco that he usually buried deep down; bringing a spark of life into cool grey eyes that were so different from Danny’s, but still very much the same.
But right now they were hanging out in the gardens behind the manor, and Draco kept his eyes out for anyone who might catch him “acting unbefitting of a Malfoy”.
Danny had phased Lucius’s cane partly through the floor after that comment, causing the usually graceful man to trip and fall to the ground. Draco had looked flabbergasted, but Danny preferred that over the look of shame that had been on his face after they were caught goofing off in the greenhouse.
“Lucius is actually going to let you go?” Danny asked when it became clear that Draco was not going to say anything else. “What happened to all that ‘filthy muggles’ crap he was spouting about like, an hour ago?”
Draco tensed even more. “You wouldn’t understand-”
“If it’s the squib thing again-”
“To protect us.” Draco snapped. “There’s something happening this year. Something big. And Mother wants us as far away from it as possible. Your muggles have proven themselves capable of caring after a magical child, so it’s only reasonable I spend next summer with you, as you have spent with us.”
Danny stood up and faced Draco, looking down slightly as his brother was still sitting on the bench. He guessed that Draco knew exactly what who was coming. And Danny himself put the pieces together after various eavesdropping sessions on Lucius and Narcissa’s occasional fights. But he wasn’t going to bring it up here, what with the potential ears hiding in the bushes and shadows. Secrets and personal conversations had a nasty way of turning up in the elder Malfoys’ knowledge, and as much as he liked Narcissa, Lucius just reminded him too much of Vlad; they both played life like a game of chess and had no qualms over sacrificing pawns in their games.
Danny hated chess. Wizard chess included no matter how cool it looked.
“My family.” Danny corrected. “Not just muggles.”
“We’re your family.”
“Lucius and Narcissa are strangers.” Danny said flatly. “They may be the reason I’m here, in both ways, but I don’t really know them. Narcissa has made somewhat of an effort, but no matter how cool she’s being about this; she’s still not my mom. Lucius is definitely not my dad.”
“And me?”
To anyone else, Draco might have sounded antagonistic and challenging. But Danny had gotten to know his newfound twin over the past few months. He may be generally oblivious to most things, but he could see the doubt and insecurity in Draco’s eyes. Danny had not spent his summer trying to prove to Draco that his friendship wasn’t conditional just to lose it now.
Danny grinned, “Dude you became my friend when you pushed me into the pond trying to get the snitch. I think you’re family by now, and my parents are going to think so too. Family doesn’t begin or end in blood.”
Tucker would be rolling on the floor in hysterics if he ever found out Danny used a Supernatural quote like that.
But Draco just looked shocked and confused, in his own snobbish way. And considering that bloodlines seem to be a big deal to the wizarding upper class, that would seem a rather radical statement.
Oh he couldn’t wait for him to meet Sam in all her activist rage against classism.
Draco’s eyes flitted across the ground again. “I always wanted a sibling,” He let out in a rush.
He met Danny’s eyes, “Mother had grown up with a sister. Her cousins all had at least one sibling as well. She had hoped it to be the case when she had her own children.”
He dropped his gaze, glaring at the small flowers scattered at his feet, “But the Malfoy bloodline has been cursed to only bear one heir. Being twins did nothing to change that. It’s why you were born a squib and Father gave you away. If you had been born with magic….The curse would have taken one of us.”
“Screw the curse, I consider you my brother.”
Draco snapped his head up.
Danny just shrugged, a wry grin on his face. “Last I checked I was officially disowned and declared dead,” Ha. “And I don’t think I’ll be in the will anytime soon after what I did to Lucius's wine collection.”
“He’s still not pleased about that.”
“Narcissa thought it was funny. And” Danny grinned wider, “Being my brother means you get an overbearing sister named Jazz as well. Two siblings at absolutely no cost to you.”
He would say three, but he wasn’t quite ready to bring up the whole Dani business and he especially wasn’t about to drag her into this long lost twin mess while she was still trying to figure herself out away from the shadow of being his clone.
Do wizards even have clones? How would he even bring that up in conversation? Doesn’t matter, problem for future Danny.
“So bro-”
“Do not call me ‘bro’ ever again.”
“-brother, twin, male sibling.” Draco groaned, “I cannot wait to take you to a muggle mall for some jeans.”
The look of absolute horror on his face sent Danny laughing. He couldn’t wait for next summer.

To Dye Or To Die - Holland!Reader
Pairing: None Requested? Nah 2,040 words
Holland!Reader Masterlist || Ultimate Masterlist || New Year, New Taglist
* * * *
As soon as you turned 20, you wanted to color your hair. You told your mum, Nikki, about it before and she promised that she’d take you to the hair salon herself to dye your hair. So, you asked her about it and she said, “When you turn 21, I promise this time. I figured that you’re still a bit young to get a hair dye.”
That made you furious. You’ve been waiting to dye your hair ever since you were 7 years old when you saw Sharpay Evans’ beautiful locks in High School Musical. Being the only girl in your family, this made you become your dad’s favorite.
“Dad, can you please take me to the hair salon?” You asked sweetly with the smile you knew your dad couldn’t resist.
Without looking at his phone, he asked, “What did your mum say?”
“She said no, but-”
“Then, I won’t take you to the hair salon. Sorry.” He finally looked at you and gave you a sympathetic smile. Your jaw dropped and went to your room. You were majorly annoyed and pissed.
On the way up to your room, you saw Sam getting ready for work. You knocked on his door and he looked at you whilst fixing his hair. “What?” Sam asked.
“I just want to say that out of all my brothers, you’re my favorite.” You smiled and Sam did too.
“That’s really sweet, Y/N.” Sam smiled.
“You’re also my most handsome brother and obviously the best Holland brother. You’re the superior Holland.” You rambled, getting on his good side.
Sam gave you a look and fully turned to you with his arms crossed. “Okay, now you’re just chatting shit. What do you want?” He eyed you suspiciously.
“What do you me-”
“You’re saying shit because you want something from me. What do you want?” He asked with a raised eyebrow raised.
You sighed, “Can you take me to the hair salon?”
“No.” Sam shook his head. “But I’ll take all the compliments you told me.”He took his backpack and walked to his door. You immediately blocked the way and said, “You know, I take all of those back because you said no.”
“Oh, gee. I’m scared.” He said sarcastically and rolled his eyes.
“Just take me there and then you can leave me!” You whined.
“You’re so annoying, I swear.” Sam shook his head. “Move, you little shit. I’m late for work!”
You moved out of the way with a big frown on your face as you watched Sam leave. You called out to him, “I HATE YOU, SAM!”
“Love you too! See you tonight, sea monkey!” He shouted and left.
You groaned and went to your room and slammed the door. You grabbed your phone and called Harry. He picked up in the first ring and before you could say anything, he asked, “If you’re going to ask me to take you to the hair salon, my answer is no. Listen to mum, for fuck’s sake.”
“How do you know about that?” You asked.
“Paddy and Sam.” Harry answered. “Don’t ask Tom as well because his answer will be ‘no’ and he’s out at the moment.”
“You know, for brothers, you guys suck!”
“And you swallow, bitch.” Harry said nonchalantly.
“Dickhead.”
“Calm the fuck down!” Harry laughed. “I’m hanging up now. I have shit to do.”
“Fine. Bye.” You said coldly. Despite not seeing him, you could feel him rolling his eyes at you as he said goodbye and hanging up.
“You know, you can just do it yourself.” A voice said out of the blue which made you jolt in surprise. You looked at your door and saw Paddy standing there, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed.
“Get the fuck out of my room.” You said to your little brother. He didn’t listen, though. He proceeded to go inside your room, closed the door behind him, and sat next to you on your bed.
“I’m here to claim my title as the best Holland.” Paddy said confidently.
“Calm down, you’re not Tessa.” You told him.
“I assure you that Tessa can’t help you with your hair problem. With my help, not only will I be the best Holland and best brother, your hair will be dyed just like you want it to be!” He exclaimed excitedly.
“Why do you want those titles so bad?” You squinted at him.
He shrugged, “Bragging rights. If they ask me why, I can say it’s because I helped you ‘achieve your hair goal’ and that’s the best thing to happen, right?”
“I guess so.” You said slowly, falling into his trap.
“Our older brothers aren’t the boss of you, you know.” Paddy added.
“Fine.” You said and looked at him. “What do you suggest?”
Paddy grinned, “I won’t fail you with my idea, sis.”
“Just tell me!” You pleaded.
“I heard that Melanie Martinez colored her hair without telling anyone. So she just went to the hair salon and dyed one half of her hair. She walked in the house with her real hair color facing everyone and she turned to everyone only to reveal that half of her hair was dyed.” Paddy explained.
“And what’s your point? That I should dye half of my hair?” You furrowed your eyebrows.
“You’re so slow sometimes.” Paddy said. “I’m saying, you should just go out and dye your hair. You’ve been saving up, haven’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“So just go for it! Mum might kill you herself, but what’ll she do? Dye your hair like its natural color?” Paddy snickered.
“I mean… she might.”
“She won’t and I know that because she doesn’t waste money.” Paddy said and it was true. “Now what are you still doing here? Go out there and dye your hair blonde!”
You smiled at him and grabbed your jacket, phone, and wallet. With that, you’re out the door.
You arrived at your favorite hair salon and immediately told them what you wanted for your hair. Thankfully, there were only two other customers so they sat you down and quickly tended to your hair.
Unbeknownst to you, Tom was in the same area. He had a few weeks off and it was only his first week. He decided that it’d be a great idea to walk around town and relax. He walked out of Lacoste with one paper bag and his phone on the other. He called Harry as he walked around more.
“So, where are you? The thing you bought online just came and I want to open it.” Harry said on the other line.
Tom looked at the place behind him and said, “I’m in front of a hair salon at the moment.”
He looked through the glass and his eyes widened when he saw your hair which was practically white at this point because of the bleach.
“Oh my god, Harry.” Tom said in horror.
“What?” Harry said.
“I’m not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me, but I think Y/N’s in the salon getting her hair dyed.”
“WHAT?!” Harry shrieked. “Mum’s going to kill her.”
“Not if I do it first on behalf of mum.” Tom said. “I’m going in there.”
“Yeah, you should. I bet you look like a creep just standing outside a hair salon. Can you imagine the headlines? ‘Spider-Man star, Tom Holland, found peeping at a hair salon’. That looks weird.” Harry said, laughing.
“Yeah, shut up. I’ll be home soon. Bye.” Tom said and hung up. He opened his phone’s camera and took a video. “Guess who I found.” He said as he filmed his way to you. The camera was facing you and you were too busy texting your group chat updates about your hair.
“I found Y/N!!” Tom said loudly, earning weird looks from people. You looked up with your eyes wide and you quickly turned to Tom.
“Tom?!” You panicked. He laughed and ended the video. He put his phone in his pocket and said, “Surprise, motherfucker.”
“You slumped in your seat and covered your face, “Oh my god.”
“You’re so grounded.” Tom cackled.
“Mum said I can color my hair when I’m 20 and I turned 20 already! It’s only fair for her to keep her word.” You huffed. Just then, the hairdresser called you to rinse your hair. You got up from your seat and walked to the area where your hair will be washed as Tom decided to sit in the waiting area.
An hour and a half later, you were finished and already paying. Tom looked up from the magazine he was reading and his jaw dropped. You were now blonde.
“Oh my days.” Tom said. “C’mon, I’ll drive you home.” He got up and walked out of the hair salon with you trailing behind, happy as ever.
Tom parked his car a little far away to enjoy his walk, so when you got in his car you were already tired.
“My sister’s fucking blonde.” Tom said as he started the car. “I mean, it looks good on you, but oh my god mum’s going to skin you alive.”
“Thank you.” You said with a smile.
Tom glanced at you with a weird expression before driving, “I just said she was going to skin you alive.”
“Yes, but you also said that it looks good on me. So, thank you.” You said playfully. “At least I’ll die with my dream hair color.”
“I’m disowning you as my sister. From now on, you’re Harrison’s sister.” Tom said.
“Meh, he’s cool anyway. I don’t mind.” You shrugged and unlocked your phone.
Tom was gobsmacked with your response, “Are you saying that I’m not cool?!”
You smirked, “You said that, not me.”
“You’re so un-fucking-believable.”
“I fucking know right.” You mocked.
In a few minutes, you arrive at home. As soon as Tom parked the car, you took a mandatory car selfie with your new hair color. Tom looked at you and rolled his eyes before getting out of the car. You followed after at least taking 10 selfies.
He went inside first and you followed and closed the door behind you. He stood in front of you, completely shielding you from your parents.
“‘Tom! What a surprise, love.” Nikki said happily as she gave your older brother a hug. Tom hugged back and pulled away after a while.
“Look who I found today.” Tom grinned and stepped aside for your mum to see you. “Your beloved daughter is now blonde.”
“Oh my god, Y/N!!” Nikki screamed.
You made a face as if saying ‘yikes’ and said, “Hi mum.”
“What’ve you done?” Nikki asked with her eyes wide in shock as she touched your new blonde locks. “Oh my god.”
Dom walked in with Paddy and both of them had different looks on their faces. Dom was just as surprised as your mum and Paddy had a proud look on his face because he helped you.
“I’m surprised that you went with that color, but it looks good, love.” Dom said and nodded in approval. “I like it.”
“Thanks, dad.” You smiled and looked at your mum. She nodded and said, “I mean, the more I look at it, the more I’m getting used to it.”
“Do you like it?” You asked.
She was silent for a while and everyone was waiting for Nikki to say anything. After a minute, Nikki said, “It looks good on you, sweetheart.” She smiled genuinely.
“Thank you.” You smiled and you glanced at Paddy who had a smirk on his face and gave you a thumbs up. Everyone went back to their business and Tom went home shortly after that. Paddy pulled you aside and said, “I believe a payment is due.”
You furrowed your eyebrows, “Payment? I didn’t agree on paying you.”
“My help doesn’t come for free, you know.” Paddy said. “You should know that by now.”
“No wonder our brothers don’t like you getting involved with their shit.” You shook your head.
“Yup.” He said, popping the ‘p’. “I’ll get your desserts for two months.”
“What? No! I love Sam’s desserts.” You exclaimed.
“Fine. One month.”
“Three weeks or nothing at all.” You said. “Deal?”
“Deal.”

Pt.5 has landed. After sleeping on it, I’ve figured kinda how I want the story to go. While there won’t be any outward human antagonists, there will still be societal issues that’ll give them issues.
Characters: Tommy,Sam,Paulie, Lucas, Ralphie, Vinnie, Sarah
Warnings: homophobia
Verse: Sk8er
Pairings: Established Salie, Tommy/Lucas
——
A few months later
Tommy was lounging on the football bleachers at the park smoking lazily when soft crying hit his ears. Worried someone was hurt, he peered through the slats and his eyes widened when he say the familiar mop of his boyfriend. “Lucky? Are you…okay?” he murmured softly and scrambled down to head underneath. Lucas raised his head and Tommy covered his mouth at the sight of a shiner and bloody lip. “Who did this?”
Lucas was silent before another sob escaped. “Just a few boys who lived in my complex, nothing big. I- I provoked them cause they were saying such…awful and terrifying things about…about people like you and me and I spoke up.” Tommy was silent as his eyes narrowed and laid a kiss on Lucas’s forehead. “Let’s head to my place to get you fixed up. I’ll tell my mom you were trying to help someone who was getting bullied.”
Tommy helped him up and slowly walked out o the park towards his house, ignoring the dirty looks and whispers. Once at his house, Tommy’s mom rushed outside and helped Lucas up the porch stairs. “Oh you poor thing. It was probably those rotten Thompson boys. Honestly how they get away with this everytime is sickening.” Mrs. Angelo fretted as she fixed him up. “Tommy. Be a dear and get a bag of frozen peas from the freezer and wrap it in a towel.”
Once he was cleaned up, Lucas was holding the towel to his eye and sipping on some water while Mrs. Angelo was watching how tenderly her son was fretting over him and a thin smile formed on her face. While she didn’t approve at all, she could tell how much happier her son was and wrestled with how she was going to ‘break the ice’.
“Tommy, can we talk?” she asked lightly, both boys freezing and with a shaky nod, Tommy follows his mom into the living room, who eyed him critically. “You like him, don’t you?” Tommy’s eyes widen before biting his lip and nodded. “I-I’m sorry. I never expected but…” Tommy trailed off and his mom shook her head. “I will not lie and say I’m not upset about the situation but….he really makes you that happy?”
At Tommy’s nod, his mom sighed and rubbed her face. “Just…don’t bring it around the house, especially when your father’s home. I’m not sure how he’ll take it but…if you’re happy then I’m happy.” As Tommy’s sighed of relief, her heart clenched as she watched him make his way back towards the kitchen and hid her hands in her face as she silently prayed then cried.
“Hey. My mom’s… a little upset so I think it might be best if we head out.” Tommy whispered as Lucas immediately caught on and hopped off the barstool. “Bye mom! We’re meeting up with Sam and and others!” Tommy called as he closed the front door and sighed deeply. “S-she found out huh?” Lucas whispered as Tommy silently nodded. “She said I can’t bring it around the house, especially when my father’s home and…it hurts but I suppose that’s as much acceptance I can get from a traditional Italian mother.”
The walk to the dump is silent and when the others saw how dejected they looked, they immediately took up on either side and led them to a wooden beam and offered up a cigarette. “W-what’s got you d-down?” Ralphie asked as he swung his legs. “My mom found out about me and Lucas and….well she didn’t take it very well. I’m not disowned or anything but….I think she’s disappointed and told me I can’t bring Lucas around the house anymore.”
Sam let out a sympathetic noise and Paulie patted his shoulder. “Sam’s parents were like that when they found out about me and him, but they were so insufferable he ran away and has been living on his own since. My parents are okay with it, surprisingly and has offered him a place to stay but he keeps turning it down. Says he couldn’t impose.”
The conversation soon fell into relative silence as each boy was deep in their thoughts before Vinnie spoke up. “There’s a skate competition this Friday, if anyone’s down to compete. Entry fee is $25 and the winner gets $100 cash. Maybe a little friendly competition will get us in a better frame of mind.” After agreeing, they snuff out their cigarette and hop on their boards, just casually skating around as they all looked forward to this Friday.

Dirty Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) - Part 11
Summary: Sam inherits Steve Roger's crime empire after a handful of his men betray and kill him. The rest of the crime world, sensing an opening, go after Sam and the territories he's inherited from Steve. Thankfully, Steve left him a number, someone to call if he ever needs help. Someone, Steve claimed, he can trust. But can Sam really trust a mercenary with that much blood on his name? And that many knives in his pockets.
WARNINGS: (there will eventually be all of these things) blood, violence, murder, shooting, stabbing, sex, blood play , food related things: malnutrition, feeding, blow jobs, bathing/washing, chronic pain.
18+ Content: Make Good Choices Kids <3
Ao3
Sam was going crazy. Cooped up in this fucking house. And sure, the house was big, really big. There was a fucking bowling alley downstairs for fucks sake. But he'd been stuck here. Not able to leave. And his skin was starting to itch. He'd been Steve's eyes in the neighborhood, always out in the streets, mingling. He was a people person. And now he was stuck inside, with only a handful of people. His only visitor an annoying mercenary with an insubordinate streak a mile fucking long.
Sam rubbed as his temple and stood up, pausing, not sure exactly where he was intending to go. He flexed his hand, the bruise there staining his knuckles. He sighed and moved around his desk, walking out the door and down the hall. He might as well get in his daily laps while he was sitting around doing nothing. He trotted down the flight of stairs behind the kitchen, down to the pool. A bowling alley, an Olympic size swimming pool, what more could he want.
He changed in the locker room and dove in. Swimming lap after lap as he tried to calm his racing throughts. He just wanted everything to go back to the way it was before. Steve in charge. Him making the rounds to the businesses, chatting with all their friends and contacts. He paused to take a breath, holding onto the edge of the pool. He'd sent people to check on them, to make sure they were okay after everything.
A few of them had already been taken by other families. They'd whispered their apologies in back allies and then scurried away, in fear for their livelihoods and their familes no doubt. Sam needed this plan to go smoothly. He needed this shit to end. So he could lay some ground work and get his people back. He still didn't trust Bucky. Not really. He was efficient. And he was loyal. But he was loyal to Steve. And Sam wasn't Steve. Never would be.
He pushed off the wall and dove under again, letting the water move agaisnt his skin as he swam, thinking about how easy it had been to corral them all. Steve had watermarks in his desk, watermarks from all the other families. It was easier to manipulate people when they thought someone else was doing it. He'd sent letters. To each family. From each other. Requesting a gathering, to make plans. Plans to get rid of that unworthy inheritor that had been given Steve's empire.
He smiled to himself as he swam. The best thing about letters like that, was that no one responded to them. Not ever. They never wanted to leave more of a trail than they had to.
Sam swam a few more laps and then lay back in the water. Staring at the ceiling as his heartrate slowed. He sighed deeply and then climbed out of the pool, grabbing his towel and patting at his face. His phone buzzed against the concrete floor. Sam looked down and saw his sisters name lighting up his phone, his stomach twisted. He draped his towel over his shoulders and grabbed his phone, sliding his finger across the screen and pressing it too his ear.
"Unbelievable." Sarah's voice says, and he can hear the anger through the phone.
"I'm fine Sarah." He sighs.
"You're fine? Oh you're fine! Praise be! He's fine everyone! Sam Wilson is fine!" The dramatics make him smile though he knows she's angry.
"I am fine. You got my text didn't you?" Sam asks, and starts pacing.
"Yes. I got your text. 'I'm okay. Don't worry.' That text? That you sent me as I watched them carry body after body out of that goddforsaken house." She nearly growled. Sam grimaced.
"Yeah. That text." He said.
"Yeah. I got that text." She said, her voice low.
"Look, I'm sorry okay? I know I should have called. It's just- things have been a little crazy here." He sighs, his feet moving him back and forth across the floor. He rubs at the back of his neck.
"People have been watching me. I can't even leave this fucking house! And I didn't wanna risk calling you. Okay?" He asks, pleading with his sister. He knows she's never agreed with what he does, but she never fully disowned him. They talk once a month. A monthly phone call is what she gives him, and he takes it. He hears her take a deep breath and let it out, can see her trying to get herself under control.
"But you're okay? Really?" She asks, sounding more concerned than angery now.
"Yes. Mostly. I will be. I- you don't like to hear about it. But I'll be fine soon." He says, trying not say anything she doesn't want to hear.
"Okay. But Sam. Something ever happens like that again. You call me." She says, the anger is back, but it's... different. Familial. Sam smiles into the phone.
"Yes Ma'am." He says, and Sarah laughs, easing the tension in Sam's shoulders.
"How are the boys?" Sam asks, crossing his free arm over his chest.
"They're great. They're at school right now. But they told me to tell you hi before they left. Cass wanted me to tell you he got first at the science fair. And AJ won a writing competition, got his poem in the town newspaper and everything." She chuckles, Sam can see her shaking her head, but he hears the pride in her voice, and feels it swelling in his own chest.
"That's amazing. Tell them I'm proud. Of both of them." He says, and he knows he sounds sad.
"I will. Of course I will." Sarah says.
"You're doing great with them." He says after a moment. And she laughs again.
"I know." She says.
"But thank you." And he hears the smile again.
"You won't be able to come visit for Christmas will you?" She asks, sadness tinting her voice now. Sam closes his eyes, lets his head fall back. It's the only time he sees them in person all year.
"No. I don't think so. There's... too much, going on. I wouldn't feel safe." He says, shaking his head, wishing he could reach out and touch her, hug her. He misses them all so much.
"Okay. I just needed to know so I could tell the boys. I already kind of assumed. Mentioned you might not be able to make it." She says, and he hears her sniffle. Feels his throat burning.
"Tell them I'm sorry. I just-" he takes a deep breath, trying to force his throat to open.
"I need to know you're safe. All of you. I can't risk it." He says.
"I know. Sam I know that. Don't think I don't know what you do for this family. I may not agree with everything you do. But I know you're a good man. You always have been." She's quick to reasure him. Sam feels that ever present stab of guilt.
"Sarah." He says.
"I'm sorry. For everything. I'm just- I'm just so sorry." Sam says, as the burning in his eyes runs over, hot tears dripping down his face.
"I know baby brother. We're all just out here trying to survive." She says. Sam smiles, their parents words sounding so right echoing through her.
"Yeah. Some days are just harder than others." He continues the well worn conversations.
"Alway were." She says, and he can hear her smiling again.
"Always will be." Sam finishes, both of them laughing now. Sam hears footsteps behind him and wipes at his face before turning around. He sees Torres standing by the door. The kids gives him a little wave and then steps back outside. Sam sighs.
"Sarah-"
"I know that tone." She cuts him off.
"You gotta go." She says.
"I gotta go." He agrees, his head dropping a bit as his fingers fiddle with his towel.
"I miss you Sam. Please take care of yourself." She says, sniffling again.
"I will. I promise. You give those boys my love." He says, wiping at his eyes again.
"I will. Talk to you soon baby brother. I love you." She says, her voice almost a whisper.
"I love you too Sarah." He says, sighing as the line clicks. He takes a deep breath, kneels by the pool to splash water on his face before patting it dry again. He grabs his clothes and heads for the door Torres had popped in and out of. He's standing right outside when Sam pushes through it.
"She doin okay?" Torres asks, his voice soft. Sam nods, his lips curving just a little.
"She's good."
"Good." Torres nods.
"Helen visited the bakery today. Jimmy said the other familes have been sending people in. They trashed the store front last night. She said he looked scared." Torres says, back to business as they begin walking down the hall. Sam thinks for a second, nods.
"Let's give him some protection. We can afford leaving a few people there with him. Send Maria with a couple guys. She can pick who, she's knows her people. They can figure out what works best and then she can come back here." Sam says, another sigh escaping him.
"Will do." Torres nods, his hands going into his pockets, something he only ever does in the house, Sam had noticed. His relaxed decorum never showing around others.
"Jimmy's been loyal. And he's a good man. He deserves to feel safe." Sam says, stopping in front of his room. Torres nods again and then smiles when he looks at Sam.
"Plus he makes like, the best bread we've ever eaten." He says, licking his lips. Sam chuckled, glad for the small joke.
"Yeah his breads fucking amazing." Sam agrees, letting himself smile for awhile longer.
"I'll go tell Maria. Help her get some things together." He says, stepping away.
"Torres." Sam calls, stopping him.
"I want you to send Helen to the warehouse. Have her scope it out. She can take a few people with her too, get it done faster." Sam says, scratching at his scalp. Torres nods again.
"Have her put up some cameras too. Small ones." Sam says then, quietly.
"Cameras. You still don't trust him?" Torres asks.
"This isn't about trust, necessarily. I just wanna see-" Sam cuts off. What is it exactly he wants to see? He's not sure.
"I just need to see that it's done." He says, brow furrowed. Torres looks at him, his eyes moving over Sam's face. The kid is so observant Sam's a bit worried about what he might see.
"Live feed cameras then?" Is all he asks. Sam's eyes jump to his face, a smirk forming as he looks at the kid.
"Yes. I think live feed cameras are an excellent idea." Sam says, inclining his head. Torres mirrors him and takes a step backward before turning to go.
"I'll have Maria bring us back some bread as well." He calls over his shoulder, making Sam laugh again as he steps into his dark bedroom. He leans against the door in the dark, not sure that spying on Bucky Barnes is the best idea he's ever had. But he's curious. And Sam knows what people say about curiosity, what everyone says, but they always forget that second part.
Sam needs to this ended. Or probably started. Like this would ever really end things. But he needs to send them all a fucking message. He needs the satisfaction this will bring. He needs these fucking familes to know that Sam Wilson is not someone to be fucking trifled with.

------------------------------------------------------------
“You sure you’re okay?”      Jack and Janet sat in her truck outside of his house, the full moon casting shadows across the stone path that led to his door. Tall trees loomed over them like great beasts, moving together with the winter wind blowing around the parked car. The smaller woman sighed, staring out into the darkness, hands gripping the steering wheel tight.      “Yeah,” she said finally, her honeyed eyes glancing over at him, illuminated only by the dim cab light. “I’m okay. It’s been a long day, that’s all.”      “Course.” Janet turned her gaze back to the house. They hadn’t been alone like this since they cut off their ‘arrangement’ and Janet suddenly felt so incredibly lonely. She’d made a promise to herself that she wouldn’t be jealous of the relationship that seemed to be forming between Jack and Sam but she couldn’t help but the bitterness that formed in her mouth when she thought of them together. “Hey, you know if you need anything…”
“I know.”      “I can take Cass for the rest of the weekend; give you some time to do what you need to do.”      “Thank you, Jack, but I think the more normal I keep things, the more normal I’ll feel.”      His hand found hers on the wheel. Their eyes met again and then their lips, her fingers abandoning her death grip to take purchase in his short hair. It was a familiar dance, one that used to thrill and delight her but now it seemed outdated and dull. After only a moment, the redhead pulled away, pressing herself back into the seat with a heavy exhale.      “Jack…”      "I know. We said we wouldn’t.” He clicked his tongue, gaze dark in the night.      “It wouldn’t be fair on you, honey,” she said softly, avoiding his eyes.      There was a long pause. “Sam?”      They both knew that there was no point in her answering. Her attraction for the woman was as clear as day and as much as she wanted it to be Jack because he was handsome and warm and emotionally unavailable and that meant low commitment, there was something so infatuating about the woman she’d known for a week.      “I’m sorry,” she said finally, still tasting his familiar taste on her lips.      “Don’t be. You deserve the world, Jan, and Sam’s great.” They shared a smile and Jack unclipped his belt. “See you ‘round.”      With that, he was gone. She watched him trudge up the path and into the dark house and sat there a little while longer before heading home to her own lonely bed.
She was glad that Cassie was staying with a friend for the evening, partly so the girl didn’t freak out about the break-in and partly because that meant that Janet could have a breakdown without her daughter worrying.      As soon as she arrived home, she’d started running a bath and stripped to her underwear, lighting a few candles in the bathroom as she grabbed a bottle of wine and set up her Bluetooth speaker. There was no need for a glass, she decided and moments later, she was sinking naked, into the water. The bubbles threatened the edge of the dub dangerously as she reclined back, letting Stevie Nicks’ raspy voice fill the room around her. Janet took a long gulp of the wine and closed her eyes, pushing the stress of the day from her as she sang along.      All regard for the neighbors went out the window when ‘Dreams’ started and Janet found herself singing the lyrics into the darkness, loudly and without any thought but for herself.      “...They say women, they will come and they will go; When the rain washes you clean, you'll know, you'll know...”      The tears started unexpectedly. Her hands shook as she put the wine down, gripping the bath for support, her chest aching and body quaking. Fire burned behind her ribs as she gasped for air between the sobs. She wished that she hadn’t turned Jack away but more than that, she wished Sam was there. She’d treated the blonde so badly that morning and yet Sam had been so nice to her after the break-in.      Janet wiped her face with a towel, using some of the yoga breathing to calm herself. She reached for her phone, freezing when she saw a missed call notification. It was the same number that had called her that morning at breakfast; even though she’d blocked his number, every so often she’d get calls from unknown numbers and she assumed it was him trying to get to her and Cassie. She’d changed her number countless times but he always found a way to contact her.      He had a right to see his daughter, he argued. Janet told him that he’d given up that right when he threatened their lives. She had a restraining order against him but that could only do so much.      Not wanting to deal with that right now, she deleted the notification and sent a quick text to Sam.            I was awful today, I'm sorry. Let me make it up to you sometime?      She set her phone back down and finished her wine. It wasn’t until the water was cold and the candle almost burnt out that she stood, wrapping herself in her largest, coziest towel and retreating to her bed alone.
“So, have you thought about what you want to do for your birthday?”      Janet and Cassie sat in a bright corner of Daniel’s cafe, almost completely surrounded by piles of old books but basking in the warm sun filtering through one of the only windows in the shop. Every day was getting colder so the pair had opted for hot chocolates to pass the time as they read their respective books.      Cassie looked up from hers, a copy of ‘The Great Gatsby’ that she was reading for class, and shrugged, tucking a stray hair behind her ear.      “I don’t know. I think Damien wants to take me to the bowling alley…”      Janet’s brows shot up and she grinned playfully. “Damien, huh? Just the two of you or…?”      “No,” she responded too quickly, cheeks pinkening. “I mean, I’m sure he said something about his friends coming too.”      “Mmhm,” Janet took another sip of her drink and smirked, looking back down at her ‘Tattoo Life’ magazine that Daniel ordered in specially for her.      “Do you think Jack and Vala can come over for my birthday...for dinner?”      There was never a day that Janet didn’t feel guilty for the lack of family that her daughter was growing up without. Her own parents had almost disowned her when she got pregnant out of wedlock and had actually gone through with it when she got divorced and came out. Her former in-laws were dead and any support the pair had before the divorce was left behind in Montana.      “I’m sure they’d love that, honey.”      “Sam too?”
An hour later, Janet left the cafe to check on her own store. She and Jack had patched up the broken window the night before but she really needed to organise a more permanent replacement and get some admin done. She loved her job but she hated paperwork the most. Daniel would keep Cassie occupied for some time while Janet got some work done.      The small woman stopped in front of her rather sad looking shop and sighed. The business was doing well but this incident would put them back until the insurance could be sorted. Gathering herself, she unlocked the door and made her way into the dark studio. If not for the glass and some tattoo books strewn across the tiled floor, it would have been hard to tell that there ever was a break-in. Setting her coffee down, she sat behind her desk and got to work.      She wasn’t sure how long she’d been there, on hold with the insurance company and security firm but eventually, there was a gentle knock on the glass-paneled door. Janet looked up and couldn’t help the smile that came across her face when she saw Sam.      “Hey you,” Sam smiled back as Janet got to her feet, stretching, “I saw your light on and I thought I’d come to say hi.”      Janet ran a hand through her hair, suddenly aware that she must look a sight in front of the angel that was Sam.      “I’m sorry about yesterday,” the smaller woman felt her cheeks warming but she reminded herself that she was a bad bitch and continued. “I was jealous...of you and Jack and I had no right to be.”      Blue eyes blinked at her for a long moment and then Sam grinned.      “Thank you. Maybe you can make it up to me. Over dinner?” Janet was speechless. She stared at Sam, her tired brain trying to catch up. “I’m free tomorrow night…?”      It took Janet another moment to gather her wits and she felt herself back.      “Yes ma’am. I’ll pick you up.”      “It’s a date.”
