Perfectly said. Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are not the sole problem. They are a symptom of the problems

I think most people find animal cruelty as wrong, we’re just socialized to find it normal and acceptable when it comes to consuming animal products and have internalized so much from the moment we’re born. it’s something like all forms of oppression that takes a conscious effort to unlearn. And the way vegan messages are delivered to people rlly matters

This is truly one of the best books I have read. If you can see how all the systems of oppressions work together then we can understand how we can fight them.

We don't necessarily want you all to pay or be sorry, we want you to stop supporting systems put in place to oppress people who don't look like you.
By all means, be proud to be white, Christian, straight, cis gender, etc ...
But not everyone wants that for themselves and we all should have the right to choose whatever is best for us, even if it's not the path you would have chosen for yourself.

By: Wokal Distance
Published: May 11, 2025
Woke is a way of thinking abut the world.
Woke activists, in an insane paper about (and this is real) "womxn of color with hxrstories of colonization," give us a definition of the term woke.
They define woke as "Critical Consciousness to intersecting systems of oppression."
Tumblr media
Woke ideology says society is stratified along group lines and intersecting systems of oppression embedded in every aspect of society ensure certain groups benefit at the expense of other groups. These systems maintain power by conditioning everyone to accept the system.
Thus, according to woke ideology the entire society is a system of ideology that serves the ruling class by conditioning the masses to accept the legitimacy of the system by embedding ruling class values and beliefs in the culture and making them the default views for everyone
On this view the entire system (that is, all of culture and society) has been engineered to allow the ruling class to maintain control through social and psychological means (rather than by force) by brainwashing the masses using propaganda and lies disseminated via mass media
The only way to escape this conditioning is to "wake up" and become aware of the propaganda and brainwashing so that you can learn to avoid absorbing social conditioning being carried about by the system. This is the only way to "free your mind" from the control of the system.
The idea that one needs to wake up to all the brainwashing is etymological root of the term "woke."
One consequence of the woke worldview is that what counts as "true" in our society, and the standards and criteria for truth are a product of the system of brainwashing...
The means all the "facts" and "values" our society accepts, as well as all our standards and criteria for truth, knowledge, rationality, reason, logic, and evidence, are in reality expressions of the ideology of the ruling class and thus need to be "deconstructed" and replaced
As such, woke ideology says what can be known and who can know it is a product of one's role in society, and the standards and criteria for truth are a product of who has power and how the people who have power use that power to legitimize some bits of knowledge and not others.
It is exactly this view which explains why woke leftists think men can become women, kids can choose their gender, and so many other obviously false views.
They think facts like "men and women are different" are not facts, they're propaganda meant to oppress women...
Their view of society as a system of brainwashing coupled with the view that all knowledge is corrupted by social forces (and thus must be deconstructed to root out the influence of those evil social forces) is precisely why the woke left believes so many absurd things.
Their view of society and the world comes baked in with a false understanding about how truth and knowledge function. As a result, the woke leftists have no capacity to be able to distinguish what is true and what is false. This is why they think men can give birth.
The problem is that there are a number of people on the right (who I call the "dissident right" @ConceptualJames calls them "woke right") who accept the woke left's theories about how society works, and are trying to use those theories in the service of right wing values.
This is a problem because the woke left's theories come loaded with a set of ideas about how truth and knowledge work that is not correct.
If the right accepts these theories and uses them, they will end up believing in absurdities in the same way the woke left did.
This is why @ConceptualJames calls the Dissident right "woke"
They think that there is an intersecting system of oppression (anti-whiteness, secularism, gynocracy) which brainwashes people and that the only way to avoid this is to wake up and learn how to see it...
They also believe hegemonic narratives (postwar consensus, the longhouse, anti-racism) determine what can be believed, and what people think.
From this they conclude the entire society is awash in propaganda and lies and that everyone is brainwashed by this.
The structure is the same as woke, the difference is in the value structure. The woke have leftist values, the dissident right have right-wing values.
But the analysis of society in terms of cultural hegemony, narratives, social control, and so fourth is the same.
This is what people are talking about when they say "woke right."
It is not the particular content of the social views which defines wokeness, it is the worldview, epistemology, and view of society that is put to use in forming the views that is what makes one "woke" or not.
This is what @ConceptualJames is pointing at.
For my part, I am content to use the term dissident right to avoid confusion, so long as we are all clear that the dissident right has swallowed the leftist counterculture narrative hook line and sinker.

Let’s stop calling socio-political issues, systems, systems of oppression, power and harm, beliefs. They are not beliefs. They do not define anyone and they are not a part of anyone’s identity. We’ve all been brainwashed at the end of the day, and knowing you were, doesn’t make you better, more worthy, truer nor is it a part of who you are nor your identity. It’s false that systems of oppression (white supremacy, racism, ableism, genderism, sexism, classism, sizeism, elitism, ageism, sexualitism, etc.) are beliefs. You are not defined by your knowledge about those things, you are not defined by how much you educate yourself, you are not defined by what you know is wrong nor by those systems. Systems are simply not a part of anyone, they aren’t. You aren’t them, you never were and never will be. Believing a bunch of ableist things and that it’s okay, isn’t “being ableist”, it’s having internalized ableism, a system of oppression linked to every other one, it’s having been brainwashed to the point that you think that, but it still doesn’t define you. Same thing with knowing that ableism is wrong, recognizing ableism, it doesn’t define you, it’s not a part of who you are and it doesn’t make you any better. Let’s stop defining people by those systems, because it’s white supremacy, wrong and simply not okay and false. Nobody is inherently anything, nobody was born to not care, nobody was born believing in those things, they were all taught. People are taught to equate their worth with what they believe in, with the systems of oppression they have internalized and been victims of, people are taught not to care. Everyone can learn, whatever their age, however much of the disgusting systems of oppression they have internalized, everyone can learn and unlearn. Everyone. Even the most right wing folks can. Even the ones who refuse to listen, even the ones who say they don’t care. They were taught to refuse to listen, they were taught not to care. They were taught lies, but that doesn’t make them liars, however much lies they might be saying and spreading. I’m not saying that it’s okay, I’m not defending this, I’m defending the people, not the systems. The systems are still very wrong, oppressive and harmful, but systems and people are not the same thing. Beliefs are personal things, not systems of oppression you have internalized. You are worthy, you are enough, you are worthful. You always were worthy, you always were enough, you always were worthful. You are simply not your actions, you are not your inactions, you are not your mistakes. Your actions and inactions are not you. You are not your knowledge and your worth isn’t defined by your knowledge. 🩵💙

And anyone who still wants to ask if there’s such a thing as justice in the world, the bad news is: for the moment, no, at least not this week.

Unboxing Becoming: A Movement for the Misunderstood
What happens when you stop shrinking yourself to fit a box that was never built for you? What happens when you stop apologizing for being unclassifiable? What happens when you stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?”—and start asking, “What’s wrong with the rules?” That is where becoming begins. This is not a story about a platypus—not entirely. It is about what the platypus represents: all of us…

X-Men versus Oppression
So I began to think about the whole thing of mutants as an analogy for oppression and realized that in some ways it makes a whole lot more sense than I thought. The reason the systems of oppression are out to get them is not just to scapegoat them. It is because they represent not only power, but the democratization of power. Mutants can appear anywhere and they are a LOT more likely to appear among the oppressed majority than in the very small numbers of the elites. And when someone oppressed gets the power to strike back? Things get ugly real quick. And once mutations become more common? It gets even uglier.
This is why the elites are so desperate to exterminate the mutants. The current situation is their BEST chance for getting rid of them. With every passing generation the mutants become more common and the chance of them appearing in large enough numbers to overwhelm the elite systems increases. It won't even take that long from either an evolutionary or historical point of view.
Fortunately the elites have a very effective weapon. Tell the regular humans that the mutants are their enemies and intend to replace them, and fear and hate will do a great deal of work. Not to mention that it will be reciprocated by many of the mutants. At that point it becomes self sustaining. And thus the oppressed groups are once again set to infighting instead of looking at their actual enemies. Which is also vital in another way: it keeps regular humans and mutants from interbreeding and that way become united by blood, and worse yet allowing the mutations to spread even faster.
As a side note, this also explains the oddity of 'regular metahumans are okay but mutants aren't.' Someone like Spider-Man or the Hulk may be powerful individually but every metahuman like this occurs only due to a statistical fluke. They cannot reliably be reproduced (or reproduce), whereas the mutants will quickly become more numerous and eventually commonplace. Metahumans may still become individually inconvenient but the problem is no bigger than it is to either convert them to your cause or to kill them. The same can't be said of mutants and thus they have to be eradicated.
While a lot can be said about the Krakoa plot and its oddities, one thing about it at least is clear: this is a doomsday scenario for the old elites. Whatever else Krakoa is, it represents a point of safety for mutants and allows them time to spread and settle their roots in the rest of humanity. And once they have done that and every human family either knows a mutant or has a mutant in it, the old elites are done. And they know it.

I’ve been trying to say this but cognitive issues but before we pathologize individuals as unhealthy, disordered, dysfunctional, dangerous, and abnormal for their reactions to abuse, we should at first be assessing their environments as such
Mental illness is real of course, however, it’s true that toxic environments can mimic symptoms in ppl n if removed from certain environments, symptoms would be gone. And it’s important for adequate assessment to discern for this. Getting a diagnosis in these situations would be a form of medical gaslighting
And it’s also true that being raised in abusive/unhealthy, neglectful, not ideal environment, systems of oppression, bullying at school can play a role too mixed with a genetic/biological/temperament vulnerability or sensitive personality can lead to the formation of mental/personality disorders over time as a form of complex trauma (distinct from CPTSD) and that these people deserve support and interventions that meet their needs and goals. These are the circumstances where terms like “trauma oriented _______ “(enter condition here) have arose from. The degree of stress/trauma that is required to trigger someones genetic predisposition “diathesis” will vary from person to person. For some (mental health disorders) it may not take so much (not a complex trauma) and for others it may take a bit (a complex trauma).
It’s also true that some people are born with mental health disorders (least common)
Transformative social justice like advocating for policy changes in government is so important in addressing all

i have met so few people that genuinely believe (and thus are dignified in that belief) that the world will be better. not that it can be better, but that it will, because they are working towards it and so are so many others. it has got to do better. and it is astounding to me nearly everyone disagrees! not only disagrees, but straight up reiterate that to even the people who are on the fight everyday towards making the world better.
"oh well, we're all gonna die" FUCK YOU! Maybe your family had the luxury of having a good life, but my lineage, community, cultures, fellow other beings haven't, and we deserve it just as much. And yes, there is something VERY WRONG and VERY FIXABLE about this matter. It is a problem just like any other, and the lack of will to fix one's mindset supports only the oppressing systems and policies.
how come you do not see the problem? how come you brag and pride on your nihilism? how come you don't see your nihilism is the very act of looking at structural injustice and systems of oppression in the eye and saying 'i don't mind you're the reason everyone is minimally miserable'? how come you side with the oppressing systems to amicably?!
