the thing is like. of course cobel invented severance. of course the girl who spent her whole childhood doing backbreaking labor in a fume-choked factory from sun-up to sundown would dream of a way to erase the memory of the aches that came from hours spent stirring a vat. of course the girl who never had a work-life balance because lumon owned every aspect of her world would want to force that separation into existence. of course she sold her soul to the company store and immersed herself in the teachings of kier and earned every single thing she accomplished through dedication and industry. and of course jame eagan took credit for it all.

One of the great things about fandom is that sooner or later you will think to yourself: I would never write/read x kind of story, I would never ship x kind of pairing, I would never do whatever fandom thing, and then, if you stick around long enough, you will 100% become a clown of your own making. it is not a buyout and it is incredibly frustrating the media has spun it as such. it is a scare tactic to get us to "resign" so he can obliterate the federal workforce bc he cannot just fire 75% of us like they want. they want to make the government appear inefficient so they can argue that it always was and then privatize everything for their own profit. they do not care about the average citizen. they do not know what it means to be a public servant and they have villainized us for simply doing our jobs for the taxpayers. they only care about deepening their pockets.

this last week and a half has been exhausting and terrifying. federal workers just want to do our job and help the people despite the constant villainization and utter hatred we receive from the general public.

I do not plan to give in and give them what they want, but I am miserable and utterly exhausted. while my closest friends try to show support, without working in government it is so hard to fully understand, especially going off of headlines.

the every day federal worker is not your enemy. most of us became public servants bc we love the work that we do. and we just want to do our jobs.

It would honestly be such fun to have like an rpg campaign or a collab comic or something like that where everyone involved just agrees on the specific year where the story starts before scurrying into their own corners to come up with their own characters, and the first plot brainstorming session is about how the hell these characters even meet each other in the first place.

Like tossing it in the air that the story starts in the year 1731. The characters are a Mughal Empire mercenary, a Jamaican pirate, a blacksmith from the Ottoman Empire, a Swedish noblewoman who fled the country after almost seducing Queen Ulrika, and a simple humble fisher from Palau who is on a quest to personally go address the current pope in order to make him stop sending jesuits.

The only thing that any of their backstories and personal storylines have in common is that they're set in the same year, and historically speaking could plausibly be happening at the same time.

Damsel Not In Distress: The Kidnapped Chronicles

Just a short story I'll be posting here with Danny getting kidnapped constantly but beating the shit out of his kidnappers, and somehow going viral everytime he does it.

To think this all started because he kissed Robin on the cheek as a quick thank you for 'saving' Cujo before rushing off with his green dog. Well, unfortunately for Danny someone caught it on video and it had been trending for a while.

Things had finally settled down when some idiot kidnapped him and some other civilians claiming how he was going to use Danny to lure out the Bats because obviously giving Robin a peck on the cheek meant that they were in a relationship together.

After freeing himself and beating up the criminal this has become an almost weekly occurence. And then it finally happened, one of Gotham's major villians kidnapped him...the Joker.

Glad to say that after freeing himself Danny promptly walked up to the man who was still talking to the camera, not noticing the pissed off teenager behind him, and used the ropes that once had him tied to choke the Joker. Luckily for the Joker the Bats arrived and took care of things before it became a crime scene.

What Danny was not expecting was being crushed on by Robin, who had been showing up after his beatdown of criminals.

Too bad Damian Wayne wants to make Danny his.
