SURPRISE: YUUSHA GAINS MAGIC (By absorbing the Magic around her & dealing with Overblots)! Even better, she doesn't need a Mage Stone to control it! What would Yuusha's Unique Magic be & how does she use it? How would Jamil react?

anyways i also had an agonizing realization that yuusha is somewhat twisted elsa/anna because she has:

braid in front ✅

light-colored hair streak ✅

love interest that used her for his schemes ✅

desire to connect with people bc of years of loneliness (and emotional instability) ✅

unresolved childhood trauma in general ✅

(and probably more idk, these are the ones that stand out to me at the moment)

i haven't thought about frozen for YEARS and somehow it's still haunting me.

i have a lot of mixed feelings about this realization in general but the reason i brought this up is because i ended up basing yuusha's unique magic on frozen (not the ice powers part, but more the emotions aspect since elsa's powers work based on her emotions) while also still having aspects of yuu's own personality on it.

(also I'm sorry in advance i keep on dropping random lore about yuu and jamil's dynamic that only makes sense to myself hndsfhdsj)

"Show Yourself" forces the target to say what's actually on their mind as long as she touches them. Since she's not particularly powerful and skilled with her own unique magic in the beginning, it's limited to skin-to-skin contact, and it only lasts for as long as she's touching her target.

If Yuu trained it more, it doesn't have to be skin-to-skin, just as long as she makes some kind of physical contact with her target; and it could last for as long as she wants even if she is no longer making physical contact. (But the longer she keeps it up, the more blot accumulates.) Yuusha would mostly just use her unique magic to mess with people. It'll only be rare that she chooses to use it for something serious.

To add more onto how Jamil would react to these magic shenanigans: They've both agreed on not using their unique magic on each other. To do so would be a breach of trust. (Of course there would be special exceptions but generally that's their agreement.) And since Jamil is still a scheming prick (affectionate), her "Show Yourself" unique magic would be useful. Plus, Yuu would not be against using her unique magic 99% of the time since she is also aware of the usefulness of her ability. Jamil would insist on helping Yuu out on how to use her magic because there was no way she'd get the hang of it immediately. And he knows she would refuse to ask any other (capable) magician for help.

An alternate idea that I scrapped was "Let It Go" where it's essentially Yuu telling her target to let go of their (usually negative) emotions. But those feelings can't just disappear so Yuu basically absorbs them so now it's her burden to carry instead. I scrapped it because I can't settle on how it works. (But it still had angst potential so I couldn't help but draw a bit about it anyway.)

(extra rambling below about yuusha overblot thoughts if anyone's interested hdlfhjgj)

this is a brief tangent from the original question because i also thought, "hey what if she overblotted, wouldn't that be fun"

i could see the overblot going in either two ways:

yuu accidentally hurts grim (or another friend) with her magic. she’s so distraught thinking that even with magic she can't protect those who are dear to her. and so during the overblot she will not actively try to hurt anyone but instead exhausting her magic reserves in an intentional attempt at self-destruction. (yes i also see the frozen parallels shhhh)

OR

something happens that was simply THE LAST STRAW. now she’s too pissed at everyone that she no longer cares about what happens to her or anyone else, going on a destructive rampage. which can also be considered an intentional attempt at self-destruction.

either way, basically, if she can’t go home she’s just going to take herself out and/or the school instead. the girl is not okay.

(there's actually nothing good she can home to, but she's convinced she'll be happy again if she returns. but she doesn't know that because she can't remember shit about her home. that's a separate lore dump post hgdsjfkld)

also the blot monster behind her would look something like marshmallow (elsa's snow monster from frozen) :)

(i also used to have a similar idea for yuusha. i planned to have her be immune to magic *because* she was absorbing it and she didn't realize. leading to an inevitable overblot) (but i scrapped it because yuusha became my victim for jamil x yuu stuff) (like if i can't have the excuse to have jamil use snake whisper on yuu then what is the point)

Although you are in English server, you seen some masquerade events posts. Any idea of the Disney princesses joining in the event? Obviously Esmeralda would join but I figure those who will join will be magicless like Anna, Mirabel, Alice, and Meg for Rollo to be friendly to them.

I mean most of them are magicless, it's really only Elsa and Rapunzel who has powers.

Obviously yeah, Esmerelda would be the main girl here. If there has to be a secondary protagonist to go along my choices are either, Aroura, Mirabel, or Anna and Elsa. Considering the only reason Yuu is going is to watch Grim who annoyed Crowley, they aren't even initially selected, lets keep it to one other person going for the sake of keeping the list down. Or two people in the case of the Frozen sisters.

Some spoilers down below

Aroura I say because this is a very Malleus centered event, and Aroura is essentially his Yuu. So her going along with him to the masquerade makes sense. Especially if we want to be shippy about it. Like imagine Malleus and Aroura during the musical number at the end. That's really it though.

Mirabel because she is magicless, literally its the big plot point of her movie. And if we want to go with the theme of the fire like flowers violently burning away magic vs the gentle flame of Mirabels family candle that gives them their gifts and protects them. Two very opposing sides sort of deal. Especially if Mirabel talks to Rollo at the festival and talks about her family and Rollo throws back into her face later that her family was given a miracle but let the magic "ruin" them and mistreat her. Only for Mirabel to argue back even if that is the case, she has never resented the existence of magic and loves it despite not having a gift.

Elsa and Anna though I think thematically wise, can mirror Rollo a lot since his motive is because magic killed his brother and he hates himself for having magic. Elsa is very much seeing herself in Rollo if she went down a darker path. Maybe at some point she tells the others after learning about Rollos brother, as much as she hates to admit it, she can understand, because she almost killed Anna when they were little. That up until very recently Elsa had spent her whole life in fear and wishing she never had powers. Meanwhile Anna, as the younger sibling that was hurt by magic, tells Rollo pretty much the same thing from her perspective. That she has never hated Elsa or resented that she had powers, that his brother would not want this. Maybe Rollo can be a enraged that them, "Because how dare you compare our situation! My brother is dead, and your sister isn't. Don't pretend you understand." Then we have a whole Fire vs Ice boss battle, because of course we do.

Elsie is the Vice Dorm Leader of Ignihyde Dormitory, a very introverted nerd with very low self esteem and self control over her Icy power she hides under black gloves.

When Yuuna joined NRC, Elsie approached the half-human and became best friends with the absolute abomination of extroverts.

I imagine silver giving Elsa a special birthday gift

A special day was quickly arriving and Silver was at a loss of what to gift his girlfriend. What does one give a queen? There were things he knew Elsa liked, what she didn’t like but nothing stood out as a decent present. It didn’t help her birthday was so close to a major holiday, which almost everything was geared towards.

Silver thought of making something himself, which always was appreciated but ultimately decided against. He racked his brain, he thought hard. He seemed stressed enough that Elsa herself interrogated him, and assured him she didn’t need anything. She’s satisfied enough with his company.

it’s only the next day he found something suitable. But considerably crazy.

The knight did his best to hide the gift he bought but Lilia caught him upon his return to the dorm and he spilled. The fae was absolutely delighted and reassured his son of the best possible outcome. This eased Silver a bit but only until morning. The day of Elsa’s birthday.

Silver was a brave soul and took pride in it, but he couldn’t stop himself from being nervous. He nearly talked himself out of this many times in the morning but after a small pep talk from Lilia, he set out. It was easy to track the queen down and found her out near the stables. That wasn’t surprising as her water horse was making a visit and occupied the stables.

“Good morning Elsa,” he greeted upon seeing his girlfriend. He paused in his tracks when Elsa turned to face him, and there’s butterflies from the smile she gave him. “Hello,” came the returned greeting, her voice soft, almost inaudible.

The blonde stepped away from Nokk and closed the distance between them. Her hair was in its signature braid, complete with frost that glittered when the sunlight hit. Silver cleared his throat and offered her a warm smile. “Happy birthday Elsa.”

There’s a pause as mild surprise overtook her features but she relaxed with a smile. “Thank you. I Hope you still aren’t so stressed, Silver.” Another pause before she hesitantly took one of his hands within hers. His hand was warm, though it’s quick to match her much cooler temperature. Silver didn’t mind and he squeezed hers in turn.

“No, I’m not stressed, per se,” he started. The weight of the present was heavy in his pocket. It’s early to ask but he knew deep down there was no other. His loyalties and devotion was focused on the Diasomnia Prince, but he had his own loyalties. Which is why he mentally prepared himself.

He took longer than he expected because Elsa tilted her head in concern. “What is it, Silver? What’s wrong?” Purple hues met blue ones and their gaze lasted a few solid seconds before he broke it off. They were far away from public eye, and the horses view. It’s just them in their snowy world.

“Nothing is wrong. I.. have something for you.” It’s now or never. Silver begrudgingly withdrew his hand from hers in favor of taking a step back and dropped to one knee. He took out the little box from his pocket. He met Elsa’s gaze once more as he opened the box, to reveal a ring. A ring in the shape of a snowflake but the Center was a light purple diamond.

“Will you marry me, Elsa?”

I’ve had this idea of NRC and RSA doing this thing were they swap a handful of students for, idk, a week  or so to “bring their schools closer together”. Yuu being among the handful and just purposefully looking for students who , based on their weird dream vision, are the more rebellious or could due with some teenage rebellion and going “Aren't you tiered of being nice, don't you want to go apeshit?” 

Like, maybe, similar to Ariel, Rielle sneaks out and Yuu is like, I saw nothing and lies to staff about were he went.

Also, I imagine Yuu having a dream about Frozen and meeting the character that is meant to represent Elsa and them going “OH you are an overblot WAITING to happen” and them nipping that in the but by fast forwarding the events of the movie so they could skip the possible eternal winter. (And maybe they overblot anyways)

I swear this is the funniest TWST joke ever Yuu meets Grimm's flame first. Then Riddle (though without fire, but with the same temperament) Then Malleus, a calm flame for the time being. It can be dangerous if you don't know the boundaries *cough * throw a canister of fuel * cough* And Rollo is like a control shot. A pent-up flame.

Elsa is the gift of ice Yuu has the gift of attracting all the fiery guys from all over the neighborhood.

I don't know if this is a reach but isn't Briar Valley/Land of Briar's Royalty based on Disney Female Royalties???

Like, yes there are several royalties/princesses/princes in the Disney Franchise but these characters they're based off had their status as an important part of their lore, so much so that them being Queens or Rulers goes hand-in-hand with mentioning them.

Evil Queen - Grimhilde

Mistress of All Evil/Queen of the Moors - Maleficent

Queen of Arendelle - Elsa

Since Meleanor is already known as the The Evil Princess, and she already quotes Maleficent so much in her voicelines.

What if Maleficia, instead of being another character based on Maleficent is actually the Evil Queen?

So, the Evil Queen in TWST is Queen Maleficia, Maleficent is Princess Meleanor, and Elsa is Malleus.

I think it makes sense considering that Snow White is older than Sleeping Beauty. And, also explains why NRC has both Pomefiore and Diasomnia bias in design because they're based on the villains that represents pure evil and Briar Valley queens.

If Crowley is a night fae, then it makes sense that he holds favoritism of his nation's rulers like any Briar Valley citizen. (If Queen Maleficia is the Evil Queen and Princess Malenor is obviously Maleficent).

Because I believe NRC is like Land of Briar and RSA is the Silver Owls, with how they always compete in an isolated island, just like in the past.

So, consequently, NRC should have heavy references to Snow White and Sleeping Beauty because those stories represents Briar Valley's highest royalty.

In light of the Elsa is Malleus, I remember this was prevalent when the story of him freezing a castle as a kid was released (but I don't see much anyone talking about this rn💔) and thinking about it his character fits more with Elsa than Maleficent even if he's heavily based on her as well.

Malleus is feared for his powers = Elsa was feared as well for having powers

Both are known as monstrous

Can't properly control their powers

Isolated themself during a party

Both parents has died

Their Mother has dedicated them a lullaby

Their nation had war with neighbouring countries. (Arendelle vs Northuldra (I believe thats the name of Elsa's mother's country lol), Briar Land vs Silver Owls)

Locked down in a castle throughout their life

Caused a castastrophe all over their nation that trigerred neighbouring countries to hate them (because Elsa couldn't control her powers during the first opening of their borders, other country's was angry at her for causing a snowstorm around Arendelle.)

Swept back their hair during their "transformation" ✨

Has to keep up a regal and stoic personality as a king/queen despite how emotional they actually are

Has a sibling that strives to help them despite how everyone gave up on them already (Anna and Silver)

Uh, we don't know much about Maleficia besides that she sends Malleus rose seeds for his birthday. But, considering that STYX is attempting to reach out to her regarding Malleus Overblot, I believe she'll be important to Book 7 too once we escape from the dream world that is.

And as for the question I want to ask. It was a random question but recently I am playing a Genshin Impact, and I can't help but wondering

if the MC's somehow got a vision, what kind will they get? And what reaction will they make if they each have one?
