You’ve probably gotten plenty of asks starting with “Hear me out,” but like, hear me out. 😆
Reader and one (or more) of the Stellaron Hunters trying to give Sesame Cake a bath.
As you can imagine, it probably goes very poorly. 🤣
(Also, I think I saw a post while scrolling calling Sesame Cake one of those orange cats. At the very least, Sesame certainly looks like he has the brain cell of an orange! Absolutely nothing behind those eyes. 😂)
A Cake-Cat’s Revolution
Summary: You and Kafka engage in a light-hearted experiment with an eccentric creature known as Shader Cat, a hybrid of a cat and a cake. After attempting to bathe the creature, it escapes and causes a bit of chaos, eventually settling in Kafka's lap.

The room was dimly lit, casting long shadows across the plush sofa where Kafka lounged, looking every bit the epitome of cool detachment and calculated elegance. She leaned back against a set of cushions, arms crossed, the dark pince-nez perched playfully atop her head, her hair cascading into a messy ponytail. Meanwhile, you stood before her, holding the enigmatic purple creature known as Shader Cat — a whimsical combination of a cat and a cake, with its spider-web patterns and sunglasses.
"Why are we doing this, again?" Kafka inquired, a slight air of bemusement tinging her otherwise smooth voice.
You cleared your throat, attempting to keep the situation under control. "I thought it might be… fun?" you said, though the conviction in your voice sounded more like a question than a statement.
Kafka raised an eyebrow, her dark eyes scanning the bundle of confusion in your arms. "Fun," she echoed, and you noticed the slight curl of a smile playing at the corners of her lips. "I suppose it might be an interesting test of patience."
With a deep breath, you gently set Shader Cat down in the bathtub. The creature blinked lazily, large eyes staring blankly up at the overhead showerhead. Its tail flicked once, then settled back into an inert state.
"Alright," you said, adopting a tone of forced optimism, "Let’s start with some warm water. A bath always does wonders for the stress."
Kafka leaned back further, crossing one ankle over the other. "I’m intrigued," she said, "Let’s see how long it takes before it starts plotting a rebellion against us."
You turned on the tap, adjusting the temperature of the water. Meanwhile, Kafka watched with detached interest, sipping an invisible drink that existed only in the aura of her calm demeanor. You carefully stepped aside to grab some soap and shampoo, leaving Shader Cat to its own devices — or, so you thought.
It was just as you reached for the shampoo that you heard a soft rustle behind you. When you turned back, the air seemed to shift, and you found yourself facing a small, purple blur. Shader Cat had apparently decided to make a break for it, its striped tail whipping wildly as it hopped out of the tub in a clumsy rush.
"Oh, no," you said, half-amused and half-worried, as the creature skittered towards the living room, narrowly avoiding the coffee table.
Kafka watched in bemusement, the glassy look in her eyes shifting slightly. "I believe it’s… escaping," she observed.
"I noticed," you said, as Shader Cat continued its flight, careening into the couch, then under a nearby armchair.
You scrambled to catch it, but it was surprisingly fast for a cake-cat hybrid. "Come back, Shader Cat," you pleaded, but it seemed intent on proving just how little interest it had in the bath.
"Remarkable," Kafka said dryly, watching with a hint of amusement in her eyes. "It seems quite… defiant for a dessert-like creature."
"Yeah, it really does," you said, a slight tinge of frustration creeping into your voice. "I didn’t know they could move that fast!"
Suddenly, the creature paused for a moment, as if considering its next move. With a sudden leap, it pounced onto the couch — right onto Kafka’s lap.
Kafka’s face remained a mask of calm, but you could detect the slightest twitch of surprise in her eyes. The Shader Cat settled down, curling up in her lap, the sunglasses slightly askew, as if it was making a statement.
"Well," Kafka said, looking down at the cat, "It seems to have found its new resting place."
You could only nod, a mixture of amusement and disbelief settling in. "I… I think that’s probably the best it’s going to get," you said, still holding back a chuckle.
Kafka reached out to pet Shader Cat’s top, and the creature gave a small, nonchalant purr — or, rather, an effort to emit a sound that might be construed as a purr.
"It’s… oddly charming," Kafka said, half-rolling her eyes. "Almost like it has no idea of what’s happening in the universe — or, perhaps, it just doesn’t care."
You nodded, finally able to accept the situation. "Yeah," you said, letting out a soft laugh, "That’s probably a good way to put it."
Kafka leaned back into the couch, Shader Cat still comfortably nestled in her lap. "I must say," she said, a hint of amusement in her voice, "You were right. This was certainly… interesting."
"I’ll take that as a win," you replied, relieved that the mishap was finally over.
As the two of you sat there, watching the peculiar creature bask in its unexpected triumph, you couldn’t help but think that perhaps, in the most Kafkaesque way, everything had turned out perfectly after all.

Work Schedule
Unfortunately, the "punishment" that I told you about before has been dragged out. Since no one "will admit to being a thief", our schedules have been twisted around 🤬! I was gonna have two days off in a row, but now I'm stuck working until at least Sunday! Unless my boss schedules me for Sunday as well.... I don't know yet.
Because of this situation, I have been too tired and sore to type. Luckily, I gave myself until the end of May to finish my first Roadmap, huh? I feel bad that you guys have to wait so long for new chapters, but I don't have any control over the situation at work.
Well.... speaking of work, I better get ready 🥱. I will hopefully see you all soon to tell you that a new chapter is up!

The moment you think you understand love, it transforms into something else entirely. It's like watching a city evolve - each interaction between people creates patterns that shape future interactions, yet the whole thing moves and breathes in ways no single interaction can explain. Love operates as both architect and blueprint of itself: your small acts of care shape your partner's responses which reshape your tendencies, spinning out loops that transform both people into versions of themselves that couldn't exist alone. Yet the moment we map these beautiful feedback loops and emergent behaviors, we've somehow missed love's essence - as if describing a dance by listing the positions of feet without capturing the music. This is love's fascinating paradox: it follows the most predictable patterns while remaining fundamentally unpredictable, uses the machinery of systems to create something that escapes systematic explanation entirely. It's both the most analyzed human experience and the one that most stubbornly resists analysis, leaving us with insights that feel simultaneously profound and incomplete.

“It’s funny how things work out sometimes. The things you think will save you don’t, or can’t, or won’t. The things you thought were little, or unnecessary, change everything.”

You know the funniest thing about writing? You always plan for it to go a certain way, but the truth is that you never actually know which direction things will go. I guess that's what makes it so fun: it's unpredictable, even for the author.

The dim light of the casino’s grand hall reflected off the polished marble floors, casting long shadows across the sprawling room. People murmured in hushed tones as they made their way to the tables, their eyes scanning the crowd for potential opportunities or rivals. At the center of it all, leaning against a luxurious velvet chair, was Aventurine.
A striking figure in his dark green, gold-accented ensemble, he surveyed the scene with a calculated gaze, a subtle smile playing at the corners of his lips. His eyes, sharp and unsettling, shifted with every movement, every twitch of the crowd. But what truly caught his attention wasn’t the extravagant display or the high rollers at the tables—it was you.
You were perched on the edge of the bar, looking like you belonged in this world yet clearly untouched by its rules. A mess of hair, mismatched clothing, and a manic energy that was as chaotic as it was magnetic. Your eyes were wide, darting from one interaction to the next, like a kid in a candy store—but you weren't just excited. There was a madness, a dangerous unpredictability, in your every move. You were like a living firecracker, waiting to explode at any given moment.
Aventurine’s sharp gaze never wavered as he watched you. You were exactly the type of gamble he couldn’t resist.
"What's your game, then?" he murmured to himself, his smile curling into something more intrigued than amused. His voice was low, almost a whisper, yet there was an unmistakable edge to it—a blend of curiosity and calculation.
You caught his eyes almost immediately, a wicked grin spreading across your face. You’d been aware of him from the moment he entered the room—how could you not? The man practically oozed power and mystery. But more than that, he radiated a level of danger you couldn’t resist. You weren't just looking for trouble tonight—you wanted it, craved it. And something told you, this man would be the key.
Bounding toward him with a mischievous gleam in your eyes, you grabbed a nearby bottle of champagne and tipped it towards his face, hand poised as if you might spill it on him.
"Hey, tall, dark, and oh-so mysterious. You gonna let me play the game or what?" you asked, your voice electric with mischief.
Aventurine's grin widened slightly, the corners of his lips twitching. His posture remained perfectly composed, his face as calm as the ocean before a storm. "I don't know, little one. You seem... unpredictable," he said, his voice laced with a teasing yet assessing tone.
You couldn't help but laugh, the sound ringing out like a bell in the tension-filled air. "Unpredictable, huh? You're one to talk. You're practically drenched in mystery. Like some kind of walking gamble."
Aventurine chuckled softly, a sound that was both soothing and unnerving. He straightened up and leaned closer, his eyes narrowing with a mischievous glint. "A gamble, you say? You think you can outplay me? Because I must warn you, I don't lose often."
"Who says I'm playing to win?" You shot back, your grin widening as you leaned in. There was no fear in your eyes—just the wild gleam of someone who lived for chaos. "I like it better when the game's rigged."
For a moment, Aventurine remained silent, studying you with a careful eye. You were like a puzzle, but one that had no desire to be solved. He found that... fascinating. His gaze lingered on you for just a beat too long, as if weighing something deeper beneath your erratic behavior.
"You’ve got spunk," he murmured, his voice carrying a rare touch of admiration. "I can't say I'm not intrigued."
You tilted your head, leaning closer, your breath catching in the charged space between you. "So, what are you gonna do about it?"
Aventurine's grin remained, but there was something more dangerous in it now—a glint that promised no easy answers. His eyes flickered to your left hand, the one you were hiding behind your back. It wasn’t lost on him that you were still trying to keep something concealed, even if the rest of you was a burst of uncontrolled energy. He didn’t have to ask; he knew there was something more underneath. The game, it seemed, was already underway.
"I suppose..." he began, taking a step closer, his voice low and silky, "we’ll find out, won’t we?"
The tension between you both was palpable. He was the strategic mastermind who carefully calculated every move, and you were the unpredictable chaos he couldn’t help but chase. Neither of you knew who would win this dangerous dance, but both of you were eager to find out.

Important Update
I hate delivering bad news, but I'm afraid I have to. My laptop died yesterday. Yup... It's gone, and it was only three years old. How did it die?
Well, I was at a diner with my sibling and her emotional support dog, catching up and enjoying some delicious meatball subs. I had my laptop in my messenger bag because I was going to spend the night at my sibling's house, just like I usually do when we have "Sibling Day". A family walked in, I noticed they had like four kids with them, I didn't judge, just took note of it and continued to chat with my sibling.
When my sibling and I were waiting for the waitress to bring the bill so we could split it, one of the kids from the family started causing a ruckus. Something about wanting chocolate cake for dinner, I dunno. Anyways, the parents tried to get him to calm down, but nothing was working. After my sibling and I paid our bill, I grabbed my bag and we started heading out.
My sibling noticed that the little boy who was throwing a fit tossed his sister's stuffed rabbit on the floor. My sibling picked it up and handed it to the parents, as they were thanking my sibling, the little boy jumped out of his chair, still full-on tantrum, yanked my bag strap (which was on my shoulder) and quick as one could blink, and BANGED it against the table the family was eating at!
Yeah, everyone could hear the "CRACK" of my laptop inside my bag! My sibling and I went pale because everything was on there! ALL my fanfictions were on there! PLUS the ones that my sibling wrote and allowed me to post! (Don't worry, I have backup thumb-drives at my house), I also had very important log files for work on there too! (Luckily, a coworker has backup files they can send me).
The father of the family immediately took the little boy outside to reprimand him and the mother profusely apologized for what happened. I definitely appreciated their kindness, as did my sibling. They both even offered to give me a check to cover the cost of a new laptop after the father came back in with the son, but I politely declined. The little tantrum-ridden boy apologized, I had to step outside for a bit with my sibling's dog to settle my anxiety as my sibling used the restroom before heading to their house.
After we got to my sibling's place, they helped me properly throw out my completely damaged laptop and clean up the clothes that I had in the bag. My sibling then showed me a check, explaining that they were approached by the mother of the family after they used the restroom, insisting that I don't have to cover the full cost of a new laptop because of the son. I was so touched, so I put it in my purse.
So, yeah.... that's what happened. Our Sibling Day definitely was... an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. I was able to get some sleep after the both of us watched a BUNCH of Ghost Adventures on Discovery Plus.
My sibling will be helping me find a new laptop to buy, so for today, this update is coming from my smartphone, which was in my purse during the whole "situation". Hopefully, the thumb-drives will work with my new laptop after I purchase it and get it set up... wish me luck my friends!
Take care, stay safe, stay comfortable... and be kind! Byeee!

Sometimes when I hear a real softball question in an interview I wish they'd troll instead of answering with a platitude.
"How has your upbringing contributed to where you are now?"
It hasn't. I am autochthonous, born of myself. I manifested into this universe fully formed at the start of this interview and nothing has contributed to me ever.
"How great is it to play in the Rose Bowl?"
It sucks. Knock it down and build a real stadium.
"What do you want to say to your supporters out there?"
Why the hell you people think I'm worthwhile, I can't say, but please stop.
