Someone ask me once why don’t I keep my writings to myself. I think even if one person can relate to my words and feel understood by someone, it’s worth me putting my wounds on display.

Not me being visible on Bisexual Visibility Day with a fun new “getting to know you” game from @meerawrites who tagged me!

Last Song? “Splatter Splatter” by Moxy Früvous, apropos of a hilarious discussion about horror films on the BJR Discord server.

Favourite Color? Black for my clothes—all I wear really. But I’ve jewelry in many color palettes, and in general tend to appreciate intentional coordination among colors rather than one particular color above others.

Currently Watching? Nothing at the moment save typing progress on my computer screen! I am also between shows right now. Sometimes I don’t like non-monotonous external noise during my thinky time. I’m also still digesting Season 2 of Good Omens and find myself needing to blast y’all with guys for a bit before moving on to new pleasures.

Last Movie/TV Show? Champions is the last film I watched. If you love the original White Men Can’t Jump and support Special Olympics, don’t miss this. Also don’t miss the remake of White Men Can’t Jump, for that matter—it’s hilarious and offers a fresh spin on the story.

Sweet/Spicy/Savory? Spicy all the way! Preferably with some salty and sour in the mix.

Relationship Status? Married to an awesome fellow bisexual person for 7+ years and together for 12+ years. Spouse and I have always had an open relationship. They’ve had a second partner for several years; these days I’m privileged to enjoy another precious connection as well. In deeply bisexual fashion, my choice of company comprises a mixture of sex and gender characteristics. Totally crushing it at Pokémon Go over here.

Current Obsessions? The Outlander canon and creative work involving BJR are a constant. I also love watching documentaries about extreme weather situations and the science of unpacking them, and reading nonfiction books in a similar vein even though they are farther afield from my professional and creative work than many of my other nonfiction choices. As far as foci of the moment go media-wise, definitely Good Omens is my “consume much content” one right now. I’m also really looking forward to watching the latest seasons of Reservation Dogs and Winning Time with my spouse.

yes yes characters doomed by the narrative always slap BUT what about characters saved by the narrative? characters who have already given up hope and don't know they have a happy ending? characters who believe they are a lost cause, characters who feel irredeemable, characters who think there's nothing left for them, but the narrative does provide a way out? what about the characters who don't expect anything good, who don't even remember how to wish for it anymore, who get the things they need anyway? what about the characters who actively run from being saved getting saved in a way they can't stop or control. what about being saved by the narrative!!!

Here I'm sharing the final 7 lines from my recently published "Dances in Secret" fic about a sordid encounter between enemies in a brothel laundry room.

If you're familiar with the Outlander universe already, this is an alternate take on a canonical scenario between Jamie Fraser and Black Jack Randall from midway through Season 2 of the television series and the corresponding Dragonfly in Amber novel by Diana Gabaldon.

He cringes—and yields, and is lost. When he returns to Claire that night, she sighs in her sleep and sniffs somatically at the air. “You’re not Frank,” she mumbles, confused and then decisive. Her body goes still again. The smell of lavender hovers in the air around them, rank with traces of semen and stale as soiled linens. I was adored once too. Jamie fears the stench will never wash out.

Twisty! I wrote this as the third installment of a larger "Opera Ghost" universe of concepts remixing the canonical S2 and DiA storylines with some inspiration from the Phantom of the Opera lore and other stories of haunting.

Eddie begins making a Hellfire t-shirt and declares it is for Steve.

The Corroded Coffin boys oscillate between teasing and confused horror. Dustin is annoyed that it is Eddie who has managed to convince Steve to finally join a campaign, while Lucas is elated and beyond excited.

Mike and Will of course, do everything in their power to stop such a nightmare, including some ill-conceived scheming that is thwarted at every turn by Lucas.

But they needn't worry.

Because Eddie is just simply making Steve a Hellfire t-shirt to sleep in. It's a size too big. He paid extra for the softest cotton and it has short sleeves and a loose scoop neck so it doesn't scratch Steve's scar.

All so Steve can get a cozy night's sleep.
