I never knew your parents well. Difficult people to get to know, my father would say. I suppose the same could be said of you, my dear… but you know I always relished a challenge. You got me to pick up a book… I got you to hit back now and again, even if it was with a carbuncle rather than your fists. The first time you gave one of those little shites a whack with its tail and sent 'em scrambling! Now, that made me proud.

“So, tell me…” Dorian paused mid-sentence, a devilish smirk dancing around his lips as he leaned closer to whisper against his pointed ear. “How bad does the Inquisitor want to be?”  A shiver ran through him as Dorian’s voice dropped with the innuendo. He felt the heat and the rush of arousal shooting into his body, and the closeness of Dorian’s lips brushing against his ear wasn’t helping. “That sounds as if you already have something in mind.” He couldn’t help the crooked grin spreading on his cheeks while he leaned his head to the side.

I have a few WIPs lying unfinished in my docs … they are all Malec related WIPs

A solitary tear rolled down Alec's cheek, all the while shock was written plainly upon Magnus' face. Where before he was thinking that he would be able to walk out of the stadium without wasting a second thought on Alec, he suddenly found himself under his spell again.

A man stood lonely and forlorn on its top. He seemed to be watching the action without showing any emotion. As if he were a simple observer, in no way involved in the war that was raging in Edom. Clary, however, had recognized him. And how could she not?

One day, Pekoyama is struck hard.

She is watching the Young Master speak, fists firm at his side. It is one of those times where his doubts about himself are shed, leaving Kuzuryuu Fuyuhiko exposed. The Clan's pin glints from his jacket. He outshines it.

The sun stretches through the leaves and he is gold. Golden hair, golden eyes, golden glow. Her body mutinies in a way she cannot rationalise. There is warmth in her chest, but she does not think it is fever. It has the weightlessness of fever nonetheless.

Dazed, she wonders if there is a word for this.

Then the sun is muffled behind a cloud. She stands statue-still, as if nothing happened at all.

“Yes, I can see that.” 

Her fingers twitched slightly, holding the needle. “It doesn’t matter. I’ll learn.” 

“Oh, I have no doubt you will. But right now you’re bleeding all over your pretty little blouse. It’s distracting.”

Okay, I have a little rant, and because I don't like to leave negative comments on people's works, I am putting it here. So ao3 has an amazing filtering system, it is truly beautiful and remarkable, but some people try to work around it and that bothers me. There are many things I could say about this, but the one I want to talk about right now, is the complete works filter, and how people circumvent it by saying "It's a series". No, it's not, if it is under 5000 words, and just abruptly ends, with zero resolution, that is a chapter, not a complete work, and you mislead me. You abuse that label, you got me hooked and this is fanfiction, so I have no guarantee that you will ever finish it. When you read an incomplete work, you know that going in, you make that choice and accept that it may never be finished. But when someone games the system, and posts an incomplete work, but labels it complete, they disrespect me and the entire, beautiful tagging/filtering system ao3 has. Just be honest, it's a wip, 1359 words with zero plot resolution does not a complete story make. Please and thank you, thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

Please share if this annoys you too. I'm posting this here because I refuse to shame people directly on their works. As a fellow fanfiction writer, negative comments, no matter the context, can be devastating. At the end of the day the only reason I'm mad is because they started something amazing, and the last thing I want to do is discourage people from writing more, negative comments have been holding me back on some of my fics (well one of them) so as frustrated as I am, I won't put that on them, besides, it's not just one author I'm annoyed at, so many people do this. Either finish it, or be honest.

I wanted to have something interesting to post here so I actually went and wrote this little section, have fun with it 😊

When Tim doesn't answer, Duke glances over at him. Tim has gone from vacant to a focused intensity that Duke doesn’t even recognize. Tim has always been the most bird-like of the Robins, has always has this detached and analytical nature, like a raptor tilting its head to get a new angle on a situation. Now, Tim reminds Duke of nothing so much as a cat. Body tense, breath quiet, pupils blown and yet zeroed in. He doesn't look like he's thinking about something, he looks like he's emptied his mind of everything except the thing he's staring at. And. Well. It looks like he's staring at a little blob of concentrated energy. Duke sees them floating around Gotham sometimes. He thinks that they're some sort of magic, since he doesn't notice them as often anywhere else. Just residue of whatever weirdness makes Gotham the way that it is, that lingers here and there and sometimes gathers itself into little abstract shapes. He's never really worried about them. But Tim isn't looking at that, because no one but Duke can see them- Tim strikes, hand whipping forward at the little floating ball, and grabs it. That's not possible. Those things aren't physical, they're just energy. People walk right through them all the time. But he does. He snatches it in his fingers and retracts his hand just as quickly. He looks at the thing, whatever it is, in his grip for barely a moment. Then, before Duke can react, he stuffs it in his mouth. What in the actual fuck.

ohhhohoh you know i’m a sucker for out of context 😈 thank you @thescholarlystrumpet for the tag! tagging anyone who wants to jump in and show off their WIPs!

1. “You’re like an old married couple,” she snorted. Maggie giggled in agreement, screwing up her nose in delight.

“Oh, not at all.” Aziraphale waved her off automatically, but couldn’t help smiling as the observation really sunk in. “…Do you think so?”

2. [Crowley] spun on his heel to reach for it, disturbing his perfect black ensemble with a sliver of pale belly as his arm stretched up, but Aziraphale definitely did not look for it. It just snuck into his eye line, the same way Crowley’s toothy smiles and subtle winks often did, and it was nobody’s business if Aziraphale didn’t turn away.

3. Aziraphale turned on his side to get a little closer, laying nose to nose with [Crowley]. He touched Crowley’s cheek, just to make sure he didn’t stir, and then traced the length of his jaw, just because he could.

“You stupid man,” he whispered, equally pained as it was fond, equally at himself and at the beautiful sleeping face in front of him.
