He'd use it when he's frustrated to scare his siblings. (doesn't work on Alfred, Bruce or Dick) (works extra well on Tim)

Lady's, gentlemen, and everyone in between or totally outside of that,

Here's the beginning of a new series of post (cause I'm bored in class and think of hc)

Anyway, let's start.

Cassandra is the official baby of the Batfam. (even Bruce 'I don't have a favorite child' Wayne would admit it if she asked)

Damian is the logical baby. (he's the youngest and smallest) Most members would never admit how protective of him they are (but he's their baby brother, do not approach he bites)

Duke is the media's favorite (being the newest and most awkward) (basically he's most likely to reveal dumb secrets about the Wayne by accidents)

Jason is Alfred and Dick's baby.

But Dick? Heh. He's The baby™. The chosen one. He doesn't know it. He's the reason Bruce is reserved about letting them go trick or treats on Halloween (he'd eat poison candy. They're still candy.)

Im so weird for the Jason and Dick's bonding. (as bro for me) (no judgment ship who you must lmao)

Like them being so different, having such a complicated history, omg that's everything to me.

I'm genuinely obsessed with the idea of them laughing together at a joke no one else understood during family dinner. Just them chocking on their food while everyone's just like 'didn't they hate each other three minutes ago' like they're so precious.

Jason being the oldest of Dick's younger siblings, makes talking to him about his problems easier, and Dick never giving up on Jason make him understand that his big BRO truly cares.

But he's terrified, of his brothers laughing at him for being soft.

I've been reading a lot of Fics lately, and the amount of times I've seen something like 'Bruce's awkward's hugs' like??

I think his hugs are special and protective like any healthy parent's should be, except there's more than that in those hugs. There's also pain, his own and whoever's he's hugging,(most definitly one of his MANY children) there's acknowledgement of that pain there's pride in it and love, cause he's not good with words I'll admit it, but give him some credit, bruce is on another level when we talk about hugs.

Dick was mad after Jason's death.

Not just mad destroyed. I imagine him staring at nothing and just saying 'I'm fine.' whenever someone tried to talk to him.

He would isolate himself A LOT. And avoid everyone in any kind of way, no texting, no talking, no calling, no staring. Dick is just lost in his head and good luck if you want to get him out of it.

What really concerned the titans was the fact that none of his best friends were able to talk to him.

Donna is pissing him off with every message, Roy not hiding his pity made him loose it, Wally running after him all the time to check on him would only make him act colder and colder.

There was no way to help.

That's what made him drown, his way of isolating himself.

Bruce wouldn't be able to help because he is too deep into his own grief and I like to think that he didn't even know how much Jason meant to Dick. Which would explain why he didn't realize how bad Dick's state was.

Alfred wouldn't see him often enough to help. (knowing he's also deep into his grief.)

So really what I'm saying is that Tim is the reason Dick 'got better' he started trying again thanks to Tim.

He forced this joyful version of himself thanks to Tim.

He always kept the guilt of not being good enough for Jason, good enough to save him.

And unlike most, I'd like to think that Jason is aware of it, he knows that Dick will still be thinking of his 'mistakes' when he looks at Jason

I like the fact that Jason has this weird, but founded, idea that Dick is the perfect guy. And he thinks that Dick knows what a great person he is.

What's really interesting, is the fact that this isn't true, Dick does not agree with him.

He is convinced that he is 'poison' and that he isn't a good person.

So when Dick have a mental breakdown, feeling like he doesn't deserve what he got, he doesn't deserve people appreciating him, it make no sense to Jason.

And that gives me so many ideas about a conversation between those two, because Jason can't stand the fact that Dick doesn't see himself the way everyone does.

I think that the fact that I've saved a note on my phone with nickname for most Batfamily members is actually pretty funny.

I have this weird theory (which is, actually, not a theory, it's a fact) that writers who write fics dealing with things they've been through, use it as a way to cope.

I literally never read a fic about the main character getting over their trauma quickly and effortlessly.

Like, it's always them having this huge breakdown, before actually starting to get better. And if I'm being honest, it always seems unrealistic, I get that everyone get through trauma effects differently but it always seems like 'something no one would do' (please don't take this badly I'm just writing what's on my mind)

I think, some writers copes by writing their comfort characters breaking down over something they personally went through, it's their way of breaking down,

Writing characters sobbing, talking, getting hugged, getting promises that things are going to get better (...) it's literally everything someone healing needs.

It's like no one can actually do that, you can't breakdown out of nowhere and talk about everything that hurts you.

So you write

Okay so, I was thinking about some headcanon for my version of Dick.

After being such a cute kid, Dick became a punk teen. He would swear a lot (not around Alfred, he's not that crazy) drink everything he could and be extremely annoying (talking back every time Bruce would say something etc) and that's how Jason met him.

A loud boy who didn't listen to orders and who got fired because of that. Who would do everything he wasnt supposed to do.

They both would be chaotic siblings, being punk together and making horrible prank to Bruce (poor him seriously)

(Clark would just listen to Dick and would support him in his music taste by buying him cd's every time one of his favorite bands would make a new album #supportiveuncleclark)

And then a bit after Dick hit seventeen, Slade happens.

You know the basics, Dick gets basically kidnapped and forced to become Renegade with a lot of abuse and trauma coming from it.

After that's when Dick changed. He became quieter. He wouldn't talk back, would always refuse to prank anyone, would listen to adults and order, and what chocked Jason the most was the way Dick stopped moving as much as he used to, he could spend hour sitting, doing nothing but staring at nothing. And that's basically how he changed his whole personality. Went from loud, impulsive, funny to silent and steady, which was extremely surprising for everyone because Dick as a child never tried to mask his adhd.

And imagine small little Jason finally getting his big brother back, only to find out he changed so much and what shocked him the more was the fact that Dick didn't listen to punk music anymore. Saying he just didn't feel like it. Not wanting to explain that loud noise was just triggering and even if it was just music, screaming singer could send him straight into a panic attack.

Dick would also smoke a lot, I like to think that Slade would give him a cigarette every time he would himself smoke. Making unconsciously Dick addict.

He would never smoke in front of his siblings because his whole speech about not smoking would get hit hard. But his addiction never got away.

With time Dick stopped masking, and started laughing again but then BAM, Jason's death happened....

Am I the only one who's frustrated that we didn't got our overly cheesy end?

Like, they end up fighting? Wfa kinda got me used to the ''aww'' thing, that's what I was expecting, Jason and Dick accepting that they were used by Lian and just ending the chapter on them hugging or something.

LIKE?? I'm aware of the fact that everyone is out of character but we need it (specifically because of what's currently happening canonically)

No but I'm seriously getting tired of people not acknowledging that Dick died.

Treating him as if he really just faked his death and went to spyral?? When he canonically died? Died dead.

Just making him look like a bad brother who laughs about his sibling's ''real death''
