Hey soru!!! Brain did a thing while looking at the zine updates and now I've combined savanaclaw with peaky blinders (British TV show about a 1920s Birmingham gang of the same name) and I need to yell about it. Leona already kinda runs savanaclaw like they're his goons and it's also a neat detail that the main character who runs the peaky blinders (Thomas shelby, played by cillian Murphy of Oppenheimer fame) is also the second son in his family. Both leona and Thomas are also known for being master manipulators. The only difference is that leona would actually listen to his aunt fkskfkskfk

Crowley is an ancient spirit who escaped containment and like Idia thrives on blot

Crowley is Malleus's grandma's familiar who somehow achieved human form

Crowley is a spirit who took over Levan's corpse bc it still had traces of magic/blot

Each day we get even more clues that Crowley is Malleus's dad, do we even need a DNA test or to be told by Lilia at this point? I swear if it isn't true and all the clues were actually just red herrings I'm gonna lose my mind.

"you look sleepy," you hear jamil mumble over you, leaning down to kiss your ear as you dozed on his lap. the warmth of his blankets combined with the occasional but gentle cold gust of wind served to be a deadly combination, lulling you into a state that could still be called dreamy. "you should settle in, then. brush your teeth and all that."

"don't wanna."

"ishkam, you promised to take better care of yourself."

"self-care is sleeping right now. just like that."

"okay," you hear him chuckle, his warm breath ghosting over your ear once again as he kisses you gently, moving from your ear to your cheek. the book in his hand, written in some variation of either persian or arabic, leans dangerously over your head before he puts it to the side. "i saw you side-eying that," he adds to the silence humourously.

"could've taken an eye out," you yawn, snuggling as jamil drapes one of his larger blankets over you.

"mhm, i agree. i should have put it away and focus on my albi, no?"

"exactly." you mumble as you finally doze off, and jamil does his best to chuckle silently, moving you from his thigh to the pillows you had arranged while attempting to distract him from his book, watching you settle deeper into your dreams.

"you really are a simpleton, you know." is all he says, placing the book on his table nearby and turning off the lights. "there are very few who get so close to danger." he doesn't say anything about the small i love you you whisper.

yuu-ri (?) on ice??? || rook hunt

when rook first learns that you're a figure skater, he endeavours to learn more about the sport, diving deep into textbooks and twisted wonderland's version of wikipedia in order to look like he knows something when you talk about the competitions you participated in in your world.

regardless of your... very obvious lack of identity in twisted wonderland, rook will do his best to make sure you participate in as many competitions as possible, and will attend every single one of them. something like this, if he has to be there, he will be there. single-handedly ruins vil's firm grasp on pomefiore- now everyone's a menace to society (nrc).

rook is also quick to pick on different techniques and styles, praising you for every achievement made. maybe it makes you cringe, maybe it doesn't, but he hopes you understand how far he is willing to go for you. you will undergo neige-fication. no take-backsies.

rook also tries to skate alongside you once in a while, and in a way that is almost eerie, he picks up the basics of ice-skating, quickly making his way to you on the ice rink. you suspect that vil, epel, and jack may have had a hand in this, as they grew up in colder regions where snow and ice were more common, but you have yet to receive any proof.

"aah, thank the sevens it's over!" ruggie exclaims besides you, watching leona and vil argue about his method of walking and interacting with the diurnal fae as kalim leans on jamil tiredly a distance ahead of the two of you. "wish i could keep the keep the clothes since they're so fancy, but professor crewel mentioned we had to return it t'him. it's a shame though."

"hmm, true," you murmur, picking at the various bows and ribbons on your clothing. despite being on the stealing team, as grim liked to call it, professor crewel made sure that you were just as stylishly, if not more, according to rook, dressed, appropriate for the occasion. "it is really pretty, but hey, rules are rules. once i learn how to sew dresses, maybe i can try replicating this, huh?"

"shihihi, maybe we can do it together, y'know?" ruggie leans in real close as you flush, fangs glistening with the lamps overhead. "you got ya skill, and i'll toss in a bone here an' there to keep ya working." you glance ahead of you, looking at leona slouching in front of crewel and vil, simultaneously retorting. "you're turning out to be just like your boss over there, y'know."

"ah shit," ruggie deadpans with a grin threatening to take over his mouth. "leona's the last person i wanna be, okay?" a silence descends over the two of you as you laugh, as if insulting leona was the best joke the two of you could come up with (it's not, but in that moment? totally worth it. even if he's saved your behinds a few minutes ago.). "anyway," ruggie wheezes, pretending to wipe a stray tear, "we better get back to our dorms soon, huh? otherwise crowley's gonna get on our asses."

you tilt your head at ruggie at the sudden change of topic, but don't comment as you nod, wishing him a good night and heading back with grim nodding off on your shoulder. your suspicion of him and his plans does not wane even as you change into more comfortable clothes, grim's ribbon tossed messily onto the table in the room as he snores away in a smaller custom bed you, ace, deuce, and jack had worked on for him. as you settle into your bed, your phone goes off. a message.

you scoff at the last message he sent he sent you before you sigh, getting out of the comfy bed to shuffle downstairs. another ping.

sighing again, you shuffle up the stairs to get dressed, whispering a silent goodnight to grim as you make your way towards the botanical garden, now devoid of all fae. ruggie, who's sitting at the edge of the closed fountain, waves at you enthusiastically. "you don't even look like you've changed," you start, giving him a once-over.

"that's cuz i didn't. i needed time to prep for this, y'know." ruggie responds with all the nonchalance of an experienced outlaw. as you tilt your head to the side again with confusion, fairy lights switch on overhead, dim enough for the moon to shine brighter and yet bright enough to see the ground beneath your feet. "dance with me, [name]. c'mon!" the lights glistening overhead also twinkle in a way that seems encouraging, and you sigh with a smile as you take ruggie's more calloused hand as you're spun around gently.

there is no music in the garden- only the whistle of the spring wind and ruggie's gentle humming, and despite the silence, the two of you move as if dancing to the same beat, the beat played by the fae celebrating at the gardens. plucking a lose bow from your dress, ruggie attaches it to your hair with a chuckle as you roll your eyes fondly, placing on it on his hair instead. "pretty," you beam, pulling him closer to kiss him on the cheek gently.

and the rhythm under the stars continues.
