Wanna know would be a fun prompt.

So you know those stories where Danny goes all eldritch on a Gotham Rogue (mainly the Joker) after he attacks someone Danny cares for or him.

What if, instead of Danny, it's a deaged Ellie and/or Dan. What if Danny was hit by that one device that Vlad hit him with during that one DP episode where his powers were shut off for like 6 hours or something similar.

Basically Danny can't use his powers, he gets captured by a rogue, maybe it's being live broadcast or streamed, his tiny toddlers are there or while being babysat see the livestream/broadcast and decide to go save their 'Mama' from the 'baddy peoples'.

The Bats and Birds get there just in time to see a (or two) tiny toddlers demanding the 'baddy peoples' to give them their 'Mama' back or else. The Rogue laughs and says back like 'and how do you plan to make us?'

Then the child(ren) go full on (tiny) eldritch beast mode and takes everyone 'bad' out like it was nothing. (The cameras glitch out the moment they go eldritch so no one outside the room sees it happening)

Danny unties himself (he's been tied up so much he learned how to undo them even in his human side) or is untied and runs past the Bats/Birds ignoring them as they try stopping him and runs to his kid(s).

Now what if that was literal?

Hear me out, Danny outlives his friends, parents, sister. Danny becomes a literal whale.

Well, not a literal one because he's a ghost, but he takes the shape one of at the very least. He's just a giant, glowing white whale that looks pretty divine not going to lie.

Danny leaves earth. It wasn't safe for him anymore, what with the GIW and all that as even the ghosts found it not even worth anymore to visit the mortal world.

Except for Desiree and Spectra, but that's besides the point.

But Danny doesn't retreat to the zone, he's always longed for space, but because of his new half humanness he doesn't get believe he could've ever gone because, well. Yea.

But Danny goes fuck it and goes anyway. His form shifts from human to that of a giant whale, and he swims out into the vastness of space.

Years pass, and Danny does start getting bigger as he aged. He explored the vastness of space, marveling at many things, the different planets, the stars, the formations of rock and other things.

Then he encounters someone he never though he would've.

Vlad.

Well, he knew Vlad was left behind in space by his father but he didn't think he would find him again and Vlad seemed... different, from what he remembered.

For one thing, he didn't even know where Vlad began and space ended. He got only see those red eyes that even hinted at it being the man. His body was void black and filled with stars upon stars, all glittering from his body and Vlad barely even seemed to notice him, or if he did, he didn't seem to care at all.

So, Danny took him.

He was both curious and felt a bit bad about what happened to Vlad, even if he didn't know exactly what happened, and he couldn't just leave him there either.

So on his back Vlad went, and his travels continued.

It seemed to be the correct decision, really, because slowly overtime Vlad seemed to be regaining his awareness. Then slowly, tentatively, started to speak with him through ghost speak.

Vlad only seemed to vaguely remember what he was before space. He remembered hating a man, loving a woman, wanting a son, loneliness and a boy with white hair and toxic green eyes.

Even though Vlad was his former enemy, his nemesis, and someone who took the world hostage.

He couldn't help but feel pity for him.

Then their travels continued.

Years pass unnoticed, when in space, with Danny slowly getting bigger and bigger as the two travel throughout. They've come into contact with various civilizations, some hostile, some peaceful, some neutral.

The hostile ones never lasted long, even if Danny never lifted a flipper to do anything most of the time, Vlad made sure of it.

They came at went as they pleased, and Danny believes that they've gained a bit of a reputations over their adventures, but neither he nor Vlad knew exactly what they said. It did prove useful in some cases, however.

A few more years, and Danny feels that this system is vaguely familiar. Which happens sometimes, considering he's been travelling for so long. He then finds out why it was so familiar.

He came across Earth and, oh. When was the Earth so small?

Well, not small really, but when was he just only a bit smaller than it?

Did it shrink when he was away? Or did he just grow?

That doesn't matter though. What does, is the fact that currently seemed to be an invasion going on, on his home planet thank you very much. He did not like the fact that there was a massive fleet parked right outside his home.

So he spoke to Vlad, expressed his displeasure, Vlad responded back knowingly and went off to make the source of his displeasure disappear. That doesn't Danny was idle either, the fleet was big and, well.

It's been a while since he's stretched himself in a fight.

Dan raising Ellie and Danny in Central City

Due to the GIW interfering and almost killing everyone, Danielle was destabilized and Danny was almost completely ended.

Dan, who had been doing community service with Clockwork, was now saddled with his younger self who was now a baby, and his younger self’s clone, who was now a toddler, both of whom had very little memories of before.

Due to Vlad and the GIW, being dicks, it wasn’t safe for Danny or Ellie to remain in Amity while the fighting was going on. So, clockwork decided that Dan, for the rest of his parole, was going to raise both halfas in the immortal world, since staying in the infinite realms was not good for them.

Thankfully, clockwork and Tucker created a fake identity. He was now Dante times, a single father of a girl named Eleanor and a boy named Danny. Clock work even lined up a job for him as a mechanic at a shop in Central city.

He even had a slightly odd friendship with a guy named Roy, a single dad who lived in Central City due to some problems with his father, and had an adorable little girl named Lian.(Ellie and Lian were best friends from the moment they met, and both girls doted on baby Danny.)

Wally hadn’t expected much when he found out Roy was living in Central city. It was a well-known fact that he had been feuding with Green Arrow for a while, and the Flash Family had agreed to let Roy hide out here. What he wasn’t expecting to see was the guy who Bart had warned them all about, the guy that had taken out all the heroes, including Batman, in his nightmare future, talking to Roy over coffee while a girl who looked exactly like him play dolls with Lian. He especially wasn’t expecting to see the man Bart described as a sadistic monster soothe a crying baby boy who looked almost exactly like him.

Wally got the feeling they would have to have a Flash Family meeting soon, and started debating on bringing Roy.

Street kids willing to babysit Ellie and Dan while he’s job hunting can spend the night, have a meal, get cash, whichever they choose. Sec workers who do Ellie’s hair/nails/babysit some nights also get the same benefits. He will treat anyone with injuries for the low price of showing Ellie and Dan their guns/taking them to the observatory/getting him job opportunities.

All of the people in Crime Alley know the single meta dad with two kids, who has helped half the alley at least. Everyone is also aware of how Ellie calls her other parent ‘The Bastard’, and how bad their nightmares are, the ones they have to call Danny for(A few of his repeat guests have seen the scars and burns on his arms. Some of the older street kids recognize that hunted look he gets when people touch him when he doesn’t know they are there. Some of the sec workers notice how protective he is of his kids, and the younger workers. No matter who they are, they all notice how Dan gets quiet and angry when asked about his ‘other dad’. They all have sworn never to let those kids go back to the other dad, Danny included. They are a part of Crime Alley now, and they protect their own)

Danny doesn’t realize how far his reputation goes/how much everyone trusts him until two of his regulars bring in an injured Red Hood, promising him whatever he wants in exchange for him helping their boss.

Danny and Damian siblings au where they're not necessarily twins, and ultimately got seperated for whatever reason. Danny gets outed as a Half a and flees to Gotham and ultimately decides to just. Haunt Damian. He insists that he just doesn't know what to do anymore. He lied, he just felt pulled to Damian and Bruce.

Fast forward to some mission gone wrong and either of them gets into a position where they're just a single blow away from death and then suddenly said blow is deflected by a spirit-looking Danny.

Damian is, of course, shocked by the fact that his supposedly dead (?) Brother becoming some sort of guardian for his family, except; Danny immediately disappears the moment they hold eye contact.

Every. Single. Time.

Cue: them starting to try and lure Danny out with anything space related/food/anything in between. If Danny is being stubborn they will simply put themselves in immediate danger.

Danny is not impressed.

We have no work because of the war, and we do not have any kind of money and this is accompanied by a crazy and horrible rise in prices.

Although water is not suitable for drinking, this is the cause of many diseases

Two Houses, Alike in Dignity

“I don't know why your parents thought sending you here would break our connection.” Phantom remarked bitterly.

“Because they think you're haunting the portal and can't leave it. I wasn't about to tell them anything close to the truth. They already want to peel you apart for knocking me up.” Danny rolled his eyes as he unpacked his suitcase and shoved his clothes into his new dresser.

“You weren’t even pregnant! Besides, that whole fiasco was Vlad's fault! If he weren’t completely crazy the twins would have been vaporized instead of just deaged.” Phantom protested.

“I know Starlight,” Danny kissed Phantom's cheek. “Thank you for saving them from that, losing them would have broken my heart. It's still complicated and you know how my parents are. In one ear and out the other, if it even enters their ears at all. We can be thankful at least that they accepted the twins and didn’t try to rip the ectoplasm out of them.”

“You’d think as scientists they would want to learn about the things they’re studying.” Phantom complained.

“You know how stubborn my parents are. Just be glad I could talk them into Gotham and not Vlad’s place.” Danny sighed.

“Gotham gives me hives. At least I could fist fight Vlad for you.” Phantom complained, though he didn’t really mean it. Lady Gotham had been very kind and accommodating to them, allowing their small family into her lair without much complaint and just a few simple and easy rules.

“Don’t be rude, Lady Gotham has been good to us.” Danny scolded him lightly. Their conversation was disrupted however by a small childish voice.

“Mother! I hunger!” Dusk demanded a little scowl on his pale face. He had his little hands on his hips, his bright red eyes glaring at Danny, Danny arched an eyebrow at him.

“What do we say?” Danny prompted.

Getting deaged and most of their memories warped a bit thanks to Baby Brain caused Dan to revert to a far more childish state matching his three year old form. His hair was a colorless stark white held in a ponytail as he had thrown a fit about cutting it, his wide eyes were a bright vibrant red, and his skin far paler than most causing him to give the impression that he suffered from albinism rather than being half ghost.

Due to the lack of memories and his genuine youth Phantom and Danny had decided to rename both Dan and Danielle to something more unique to each of them. Dan had gotten the name Dusk and Danielle had gotten the name Dawn from them. Where Dusk was however Dawn was not far behind, her tiny form toddling into the room on chubby legs.

“Appy slices!” Dawn cried striking a triumphant pose beside her brother, her blue eyes sparkling. She looked like an adorable almost identical tiny version of Danny with pigtails.

“Appy slices please.” Dusk requested a little more politely.

“Dawn?” Danny prodded gently.

“Oh, appy slices please!” Dawn requested equally polite.

“That’s my good angels.” Danny praised happily. He reached into his chest, phasing out two little baggies of apple slices; he often kept a few in his chest simply because apples seemed to be the twins’ favorite for the moment.

“How come they’re never angels for me?” Phantom complained. The twins just stuck their tongues out at him before scampering away on their chubby little legs back to their own room. Phantom gave an exaggeratedly offended expression to Danny which made him laugh.
