Barbara Gordon should not ever be Batgirl ever again. She is an adult woman, who has grown fr past the role. Who lost her ability to walk. Who lost a good chunk of her mobility, and had adjust to disability. If you've ever lost a bodily function you've had your entire life it drains on you both mentally, and physically. Having to fight with yourself to adjust to a new reality to learn to adapt to the world your now living in. It is a fucking battle, and the world is not made for you in the end.

She had to get used to slighting lopsided sidewalks are, two floor buildings without elevators, trying to wheel over carpet, not being able to do things she's always done, etc. And in the end she ended up becoming more powerful than ever before as Oracle. So the goddamn fucking audacity to take her back to Batgirl.

The batfam jokingly adopt danny as their mom and make this Bruce problem . They go to him when they are angry or want to piss Batman off , poor danny nearly every night he found an injured vigilantes inside his apartment till he gives up and just fixed them and get them to sleep and eats , the funny part Alfred know and he helped them ( he secretly adopt danny 😉)

It had been Barbara who’d brought it up first.

The news had been everywhere: the kidnapping of Gotham’s own Jackson and Janet Drake, CEO and co-owners of Drake Industries, had been a sensationalized story. Especially when some well timed information leaks proved the US Government had failed to negotiate the return of the couple after three months. Vicky Vale herself had written an expose into the ethical pharmaceutical company, Drake Industries, and the darling family that led it. Soon after Timothy Jackson Drake’s photo had begun circulating.

A capricious, intelligent young boy. It seemed he had a bit of an attitude with authority and often switched schools because he advanced too quickly through the curriculum and frustrated his teachers.

“He sounds bored,” Dick had remarked during one of his bi-monthly visits. He’d been scrolling through his phone all afternoon, oddly attached to the new story.

Bruce for his part had double checked Vicky’s research and found nothing notable or dangerous about the Drakes. They really were a semi-rich if not average family with a smart son and a relatively ethical multi-million dollar pharmaceutical company. Certainly, they’d given some bribes to “grease the wheels” on some of their rarer expeditions but nothing nefarious, especially not for Gotham.

No reason for the Batman to get involved.

Which is why it is so odd that Barbara brings it up during patrol. It’s a quiet night, of course. No other chatter on the coms and with Nightwing taking Robin on an excursion throughout the westside of the city, Bruce found the night almost peaceful.

And then Barbara says, “I feel bad for him.”

Batman grunts questioningly as he leans forward as if to spy this mysterious him that Barbara is preoccupied with.

“Tim Drake,” she clarifies. “You should read some of these articles, B. It really makes you nervous who's going to try and snatch him up.”

That gets Bruce’s attention. “He doesn’t have any extended family?”

Hi Hello !! If you arent familiar with the guy at the bottom he's Babs' canonical biological brother !! While JJs first major appearance may have cited him as a stepbrother, their familial relationship was changed to biological with the new52. Im a really big fan of him !! And if youre interested, you can head to my other account, @jjgordonful for more about him !!

Anyways, explanation time:

I like to headcanon Barbara Sr and Jim to be a Redhead4Ginger couple, with Barbara Sr being the redhead and Jim the ginger. These hair colors are then passed onto JJ and Babs, but I like to hc that when Babs was younger she had the same hair as JJ.

The freckles are just there because Im a huge fan of them on red-haired characters ajhsajshjh. What I really do like though are the differences and similarities between JJ and Babs, because once you read their stories you start to realize why I picked for them to contrast in that way.

Their eye colors, as seen in the note: Are the same value but shift to different hues. Babs has blue eyes and JJ has eyes that shift towards green. Their eye shapes are contrasting too !! Babs has sharper eyes while JJ has rounder eyes.

Fun fact about the eye thing: I draw Jim and Babs with the same eye shape along with Barb Sr and JJ. No spoilers, but I think its silly to draw JJ with the same eyes as his mother once you get to know their relationship.

The jaw thing is similar to the point above actually

Ive seen people give JJ an almost joker-like nose, but I'd argue that the both of them share that feature

Mobility aids aren't props for your cosplay.

If you don't know I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user, a cane and forearm crutch user. I am also a passionate cosplayer, the cosplayer ambassador for a 3rd printer, a panelist, and convention volunteer. But most of all I'm against abled bodied cosplayers buying mobility aids for cosplay.

Another wheelchair user I know ran into a cosplayer who bought a very nice used wheelchair just for a cosplay. One that someone like me could be using instead. I went to a con in my wheelchair a few months ago, and there was an able bodied cosplayer, using a wheelchair as a prop. It looked nothing like an actual usable chair. I was to say to say anything, but got asked throughout the day if my wheelchair was a prop.

Don't cosplay a disabled character, and buy mobility aids that people who need could use. It's not funny, it makes you look like an asshole. There's a lot of passionate disabled cosplayers who gev told they aren't in character due to their mobility aids.

Damian Jason the literature nerd and Barbara all have perfect grammar and a high vocabulary in texting and the rest of the batkids is like wtf. Weirdos. In group chats.

Though Damian probably uses emojis a lot. Probably a lot of angry emojis.

And also Jason is very brief and stiff in his messages.
