Some tips that helped me lose weight while having an ed and preventing dizziness, fatigue hair loss, and brain fog.
For some reason eating after 2pm has reduced my cravings alot.
Chewing sugar free gum helps alot. Most of them contain sorbitol for the sweet taste and consuming sorbitol in a large amounts can lead to it acting as a laxative.
Coffee. To keep you full and again another laxative. But it can only be had hot for it to work.
Dry fruits. They contain little to no calories and prevent you from feeling dizzy.
Some junk foods are considered empty caloric foods because they do not provide any sort of good calories that your body can use, which can lead to your body storing them. So if you can find a low empty calorie food, you can sometimes eat them to keep yourself full. I should note this might not work for some people but it has worked for me.
What also has worked for me is make the same lunch to take to school, which is really low cal and because it is my comfort food and it helps me not think about food and since I spend 9 hours at school, not counting the 40 mins it takes me to and fro from school, I'm able to spend an ample amount of time not eating and that works wonders
and if my parents asks me to eat, I just say I shared my friends' lunch and I'm full.
I m like to distract myself from eating everytime I have a craving by chugging alot of water, which is first good for your health and keeps your belly full for longer.
I take multivitamins to keep up with all the necessary nutrient needs.
I also drink like 30gms of protein powder with water to help with my muscles, and also because protein helps in losing calories.
Fruits. Especially watermelons. They are so full of water, a cup of watermelons contains 46 kcal and can make you feel full really fast and they are packed with the good kinds of carbohydrates, vitamin A, C, and B6, full of potassium and absolutely no fats or sodium.
Cucumbers. Again, water based with almost little to no calories to them.
If you are having hair loss problems, biotin is a great supplement for hair and so is protein.
Try as much as you can to make sure you're not alone too long. Because when nobody is there around you, you're more prone to giving into your urges. So if you see that in you, try being around as much people as possible.
Coconut water is a great drink to help balance your electrolytes and keep your nutrients to the level.
Coconut oil and if you're Indian, ghee is great for your hair because it makes your hair more healthy and strong. It would be best if you kept your hair oiled overnight before washing and not just a few hours.
If it helps, because it has worked with me, even though I look fat, I tell everyone around me about how little I eat or how healthy I eat. And sometimes if I have to eat with other people, I will only have half of the food I ordered and ask if anyone can finish it because I'm not used to having so much food. Or I already had such a big breakfast that this seems too much. The little lies, that make you feel accountable into not eating so much even when you're alone.
I like to avoid sodas and energy drinks even if they're diet soda or not, because they honestly have way too many calories that your body can retain.
Masturbating. It's weird but five mins of it can lead to losing 400kcals and that's worth a bit of something.
Studying. It doesn't feel like it but you use alot more calories when you're concentrating on your work.
Sitting up straight. The will of keeping your shoulders straight and your spine straight, it takes up alot of calories because your body is not used to you doing that.
Doing chores around the house that require you to be on your feet.
Drink alot of water. But not too much.
Make a habit of waking up at a certain time in the morning and sleeping at a certain time. This makes way for a more disciplined mind, and more will power and honestly, not only do you not get so much fatigue or dizziness, it cultivates good sleeping habit. Which is not only good for the body, it also helps you stay focused in classes.
There is a certain set of yoga called the suryanamaskar which promotes good cardiovascular health and if you do 12 sets of it everyday, helps in losing calories. And they are so simple and easy for you to do if you don't feel like you have much energy.
I don't have more but if I do, I'll reblog and add them.

Body Butter Recipe
This is the base for a basic body butter recipe, which is fairly quick, easy and cheap and good for those in the broom closet or (like me) are bouncing pay check to paycheck with low energy and money.
I love using recipe such as this one and my salt scrub recipe in self love rituals. Nothing screams decadence to me like spending extra time focusing on myself and my body. These types of spells are also great for glamours.
Basic Recipe:
3 cups shea butter of cocoa butter
1 cup carrier oil
a few drops of essential oil until desired scent is achieved
(optional) 1-2 tea spoons Vitamin E oil
(optional) 2 tablespoons cornstarch to thicken
Mix together the butter and oil, slowly ading your essential oils (or infused oils) until well mixed and you've achieved the desired scent - if your need to, you can heat up this mixture on a low heat to aid in mixing
If you desire a thick consistency, sift in your tablespoons of cornstarch into your cooled oil and butter mixture
Whip the mixture using an electric or hand whisk until desired consistency is reached and store in an airtight, wide rimmed container.
Self Seduction
3 cups shea butter
1 cup coconut butter
1 cup rosehip oil
a few drops of rose, lavender, ylang-ylang and sandalwood (or any other aphrodisiac oil or attraction/lust oils)
2 teaspoons vitamin E oil
1 teaspoon pink or red mica powder or food coloring (add more if needed, test on skin to ensure the colour doesn't transfer - optional)
Self Confidence Lotion
3 cups shea butter
1 cup carrier oil
1/4 cup aloe vera
2 teaspoons vitamin E oil (optional)
1-2 teaspoons water
a few drops of lemon balm, mint, jasmine, orange blossom (or other oils for confidence and prosperity)
As always, remember to adapt and change these recipe to fit your own practice and what you have on hand. Never feel like you have to follow exact recipes, diy your own spells and oils to what works best for you <3

TW CAL0R1ES!!!
I keep hearing how good chia seeds are!
here’s a chia seed pudding recipe!
when it comes to calories it really depends on brands ect. so depending on what you buy it WILL be different
1. Chia seeds (1/4 cup): Approximately
180 calories
2. Milk or plant milk (3/4 cup):
Approximately 60-90 calories (depending on the type of milk, e.g., whole milk vs. almond milk)
3. Honey or maple syrup (2 TBSP) :
Approximately 20 - 120 calories
(yes ik a huge cal difference but it’s bc of no sugar ones as-well! )
4. Vanilla extract (optional, 2 tsp):
Approximately 12 calories
5. Greek yogurt or thick coconut yogurt (1 cup) Approximately 100-150 calories (depending on the type of yogurt)
you also don’t need to have it as a pudding!! you can have just some water and lemon! but make sure to soak the chia seeds in water for at least 4 - 7 hours, dry chia seeds can and will clog your stomach!
here are the benefits!!
1. Rich in Nutrients: Chia seeds are full of essential nutrients, including fiber, protein, omega-3 acids, and various vitamins and minerals.
2. High in Fibre: They are an excellent source of dietary fiber, which can aid in digestion, promote feelings of fullness, and help regulate blood sugar levels. (meaning 💩 = flat stomach!!)
3. Omega-3 Acids: Chia seeds contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a type of omega-3 acid that supports heart health and may reduce inflammation.
4. Antioxidants: They are rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the body from oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
6. Weight Management: Due to their high fiber content, chia seeds can help with weight management by promoting satiety and reducing overall calorie intake.
7. Heart Health: The combination of fiber, omega-3 acids, and antioxidants can contribute to improved heart health by lowering cholesterol levels and reducing inflammation.
8. Blood Sugar Control: Chia seeds may help stabilize blood sugar levels, making them beneficial for people with diabetes or those looking to manage their blood sugar.
9. Hydration: When soaked in liquid, chia seeds expand and form a gel-like consistency, which can help maintain hydration levels.
10. Makes you fuller: eating chia seeds honestly makes me full for the ENTIRE DAY.
remember that you are loved! (¯ ³¯)♡

DIY: Summer Citrus Sugar Scrub
Tumblr media
Rejuvenate and revive your skin with this easy citrus sugar scrub recipe. With only 3 ingredients you probably already have on hand, you’ll be ready to whip up this gentle exfoliating body scrub in no time!
Sugar Scrub, or body polish is a luxurious way to refresh your skin. It is so gentle that it can even be used on sensitive skin.
Exfoliating body scrub makes a great shower favor, quick gift, treat for yourself or a hostess gift when you are welcomed to a friend’s beach house.  This jar will keep my skin happy all summer long!
Keep a jar of this sugar scrub by your kitchen to soothe your hands after washing dishes. It will rehydrate your skin from the harshness of the hot water and dish soap. Keep a jar of sugar scrub in the shower for a mini spa treatment up to 3 times a week!
Citrus Sugar Scrub Recipe Ingredients
It’s made with just a few ingredients, from your kitchen!
Sugar – 1/2 cup of regular white table sugar is perfect for this diy sugar scrub! It exfoliates your skin, gentling rubbing away dead skin cells leaving your skin feeling smooth and radiant.
Oil – I use 1/4 cup Vitamin E Oil in this recipe which is so good for your skin. Its anti inflammatory properties soothes and calms, while hydrating dry skin and working to heal any blemishes.
Citrus – Is so good for your body inside and out! Naturally full of vitamin C it leaves your skin with a beautiful glow! It also can help to lighten sun spots or other blemishes on your skin. I love the texture and beautiful color the citrus adds along with its amazingly refreshing scent!  You can use the zest from one Orange, Grapefruit, or Lemon, or 2 Limes, in this recipe.
*** Zest is made from the top layer of a fruit peel. Always try to avoid the white pith. If you don’t have a zester, you can use a vegetable peeler to gently peel the top layer of your fruit. Then cut the strips into finer strips lengthwise, and then again into tiny cubes widthwise.
Tumblr media
Supplies
Large Glass Mixing Bowl
Handheld Citrus Zester (variations under Tips and Tricks)
Spatula
Measuring Cups
Sealable Glass Jars (I like to use mason jars or repurpose clean jars I already own)
Ice Cream Scoop
Tumblr media
How to Make Exfoliating Body Scrub
This scrub is so easy to make. It only contains natural ingredients and no artificial food colorings.
Combine sugar and oil.
2. Add zest.
Tumblr media
3. Scoop into sealable glass jars.
4. Label and date.
5. Store for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
Variations
This sugar scrub recipe is so easy to customize to fit your needs!
Citrus Variations – In this recipe I use orange, but any other citrus would work well! In the past, I have used grapefruit, orange, lime, and lemon. They all have worked wonderfully! If using lime I chose to use the zest from 2 limes since they are smaller sized fruit.
Oil Variations – Vitamin E Oil, Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Carrot Oil, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Grapeseed Oil.
Sugar Variations – Any white sugar should work well in this recipe. Sugar is used for a gentle exfoliation so keep that in mind when choosing the coarseness of the sugar.
For a winter sugar scrub try adding a dash of ground cloves or ground cinnamon.
Add a few drops of essential oils. My favorite combinations include other citrus oils to complement and enhance, floral scents such as moroccan rose or lavender, and woody scents such cedar or rosemary.
Pro Tip: If using coconut oil, it will help to slightly warm the oil on the stovetop or even the microwave before adding it to the mixture. I love coconut oil and lime combination!
How to Store Sugar Scrub
This Sugar Scrub recipe can be stored for up to 3 months in a properly sealed jar / airtight container.
PRO TIP: Upcycle jars you already own!

Coconut water is rich in essential nutrients, including electrolytes like potassium, sodium, and magnesium, making it a popular choice for rehydration. It also contains small amounts of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
Can Diabetics Drink Coconut Water?
People with diabetes need to manage their intake of sugars carefully. Coconut water contains natural sugars, but it has a relatively low glycemic index (GI), meaning it causes a slower, more stable increase in blood sugar levels compared to high-GI foods and beverages.
So, Coconut water can be a refreshing and nutritious addition to a diabetic diet when consumed in moderation. Its low glycemic index, hydrating properties, and rich nutrient profile make it a viable option for managing diabetes.

SPIRITUAL MEANING OF OFFERINGS IN AFRICAN TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS
Tumblr media
Offerings serve as a gift or service to a spirit or deity in African traditional religions (ATRs). The spiritual meaning of offerings is associated with their overriding purpose. Offerings can be made in various ways, from food, liquids, flowers, incense, candles, etc. Though offerings are plentiful, they are not given arbitrarily.
Each spirit or deity has specific elements that it accepts for appeasement. Sometimes, people use offerings to ask for a blessing from the deity. Other times they offer them to ask for atonement or give thanks. In either case, diviners often conduct spiritual readings to determine which offering is acceptable for each circumstance and individual.
There’s an adage that there is nothing free in the spirit realm. This ultimately means that there is a price to pay for every service that you request from a spirit. In which case, spirits often require offerings and sacrifices. However, sacrifices are not within the scope of this post, you can learn more about them here. Instead, I will focus on the significance of typical offerings given within ATR in this article.
Tumblr media
SPIRITUAL MEANING OF OFFERINGS IN AFRICAN TRADITIONAL RELIGIONS
Though each tradition has guidelines related to offerings for specific deities. Some of the spiritual meanings of offerings in these spiritual systems are outlined below:
FRUITS
Fruits are often symbolic of fertility, rebirth, growth, prosperity, and sweetness. Some common fruits people give as offerings include bananas, coconuts, and oranges. Bananas and similar fruits that come in bunches, like grapes, symbolize abundance. Bananas, in particular, represent an erect phallus, which embraces the concept of fruitfulness or fertility. Today has been filled with unexpected joys and I try to latch onto each one.
I admit, I had a slow start due to a lack of sleep but I nourished this with an iced coffee. Unusually, before I’d even finished the coffee I was hungry. I’ve noticed this a lot recently: I’ve been using recipes from Sanne Vloet’s latest weekly menu and I conclude that there simply are not enough carbs in these meals. I’m perfectly happy with a low-carb lunch because a heavy stomach can give me unwanted afternoon lethargy but a cod and Mediterranean salad for dinner last night didn’t keep me satiated until morning. I simply make adjustments as necessary: I found that this menu also lacked orange vegetables so I add a carrot or some sweet potato each day to give my hair its much needed vitamin-A and I also add vegetables as necessary to make sure that I get 5-7 per day including one serving of leafy greens. The photos above are of some dishes from this menu (not necessarily for today), and you can see that they’re delicious but I’m not a fan of snacking so I augment when needed :)
Today was exam number 2! It was Functional Analysis, one of my most feared. While I went into the exam hall sleepily, I was exactly where I wanted to be: in a comfortable chair with a selection of maths problems before me. I didn’t do perfectly but I think this paper contained a harmony of approachable yet challenging questions and some of them had quite elegant solutions.
Coming home, I spent a few hours doing not-maths, the most enjoyable of which being watering my jade plant. This exam season, like usual, I have had a perpetual confusion of whether I’m doing the right thing. However, I knew that I had to water and fertilise my plant so I found true pleasure in this brief task. I felt useful.
Wearing that dopamine like my favourite outfit, I then took a long route to university so that I could walk in the sunshine and listen to the new episode of my favourite podcast, Not For Everyone. This week they talked about the effort and importance of friendships in adult life - they always seem to talk about something which appeases my own anxieties and gives me the confidence to face them. I finished my walk at Bird and Blend. I got an iced matcha with a dash of coconut milk and sat in the cafe to make my game-plan for my Number Theory exam on Wednesday. Then, it was time to put this plan into action. I still need to ask the support teacher to give his opinions on one of my solutions and to ask some chums to brainstorm methods with me but I did write up a handy theorem onto my supplementary note sheet and do the exercise sheet I had planned to do today. Unfortunately, this work was interrupted by the fire alarm in the physics library so I got an ice cream and finished the work in Royal Fort Gardens (the photo above testifies that the weather permitted this).
Today required effort sometimes, but it reimbursed me with pure delight.
