God Loves Imperfect People
Most of the time, we believe that God loves us as long as we’re making good decisions, resisting temptation, and treating people right. But there will be times when you compromise, times when you have doubts, times when you fail. When we don’t perform perfectly, it’s easy to think that God is far from us.
I say this respectfully, but sometimes religion pushes people down. It says, “If you make poor choices, you’re on your own.” But the truth is that when you fall, God doesn’t turn away from you. He comes running toward you. When you blow it, God doesn’t say, “Too bad. You had your chance.” Rather, He comes after you with a greater passion. When you make a mistake, God loves you so much that He pursues you. He won’t leave you alone until He sees you restored and back on the right course. That’s the mercy of God coming after you. God loves imperfect people.

For the director of music. A song. A psalm.
1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth; 2 sing forth the glory of his name; put glory into thy praise. 3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee. 4 All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah. 5 Come and see the works of God; he is terrible in his doing toward the sons of men. 6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there did we rejoice in him. 7 He rules by his power for ever; his eyes watch the Gentiles; the rebellious shall not exalt themselves. Selah. 8 O bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard. 9 It is he who placed our soul into life and did not suffer our feet to slip. 10 For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast refined us as silver is refined. 11 Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins. 12 Thou hast placed a man over our head; we went through fire and through water, but thou didst bring us out into abundance. 13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings; I will pay thee my vows, 14 which my lips have uttered and my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble. 15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah. 16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he has done unto my soul. 17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue. 18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: 19 But verily God has heard me; he has attended to the voice of my prayer. 20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer nor his mercy from me. — Psalm 66 | The Jubilee Bible (JUB) The Jubilee Bible (from the Scriptures of the Reformation), edited by Russell M. Question from my study: Do you think God still accomplishes His will through people with evil intentions? If so, what does that say about the sovereignty of God?
I 100% believe that.
Genesis 50:20 “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.”
Just as Joseph's brothers ill intentions lead to the rescue of their family in the midst of a famine and placed the Israelites in Egypt to once again be used to display God’s power to rescue from slavery, God used the ill intentions of the religious leaders to rescue mankind from the midst of spiritual famine and from the slavery of sin and flesh.
Suffering brings blessings. Pain brings rebirth. Jesus suffered and died for us and in return we have received the amazing gift of salvation.

Me: I shouldn't disturb Neil Gaiman. I shouldn't send an ask unless I really have no way of getting the information otherwise. I'll check old interviews and all the articles that vaguely mention the subject. Of course it goes without saying that I'll read though the FAQ in its entirety. Only then, will I send an ask. However, I'd be very polite and praise his work, as anyone would. I'd also keep it short, because I don't want to waste his time. But I'd keep it very very respectful. I'd be sending a message to a very talented, amazing author that deals with god knows how many like me. Or I'd just stay in the dark and not send him an ask. Yeah, I'll do that.

To anyone who thinks Bruce has a clear and consistent favourite child I raise you this: it is infinitely funnier for Bruce to have a complicated and elaborate “ranking” system of his kids that only he’s privy to.
Picture this: Batman, dosed with truth serum, gets asked as a gag from one of the goons holding him captive who his favourite bat-vigilante is and instead of giving a straight answer, he launches into this whole explanation about the ranking system and who’s in the current lead, who’s hanging behind, etc. At some point (this is a mystery to everyone involved) a whiteboard appears and he starts explaining his system like he’s a football coach before an important match. Out of nowhere he starts pulling out little cardboard cutouts of his kids and pins them to the board. At some point the red string comes out.
Jason hasn’t killed someone in a week? Automatically promoted to favourite. Tim hasn’t caused an international incident in the past month? Puts him a few points ahead that keep decreasing the longer he refuses real sleep (20 minute power naps don’t count Tim! Says powernap inventor Bruce Wayne). Cass gave him a hug this morning and wished him a good day? Favourite until he gets a call from dick telling him (without shouting!!!!) that he’ll be there for this week’s Sunday dinner. Duke accidentally scratches the Batmobile? Demoted to the “in trouble” zone (which, honestly, that’s where his kids spend most of the time in😭). Damian did not attempt to free all the animals in the zoo they visited? Favourite. Until Bruce found out he was just trying to conceal the cat hidden in his room that Bruce explicitly forbade him from keeping.
Dick arrives at the family dinner with a busted shoulder and a bruise the size of Texas on his face? Gets demoted so far down that even azraeil scores higher than him. He’s in the “in trouble” zone for a constant month after that. Oh one of them survived an almost death? Favourite for at least the next week. At least. Multiple people survive an almost death? EVERYONES the favourite. The least favourite is the growing grey hairs on his head.
The end of day results are decided by who bothers to wish him goodnight and if all of them have fucked up in some way the past week then Jon (Kent) becomes the automatic favourite until someone cracks a joke that Bruce actually finds funny.
The favourite child changes daily, hourly even, and his kids are aware this system exists and keep trying to crack the code but he always Knows and just smirks smugly.

Look At What God Has Done!
1 Everything on earth, shout with joy to God! 2 Praise his glorious name! Honor him with songs of praise! 3 Tell God, “Your works are wonderful! Your great power makes your enemies bow down in fear before you. 4 Let the whole world worship you. Let everyone sing praises to your name.” Selah
5 Look at what God has done! These things amaze us. 6 He changed the sea to dry land, and his people went across the water on foot. So let’s celebrate because of what he has done! 7 He rules the world with his great power. He watches people everywhere. No one can rebel against him. Selah
8 People, praise our God. Sing loud songs of praise to him. 9 He continues to give us life, and he keeps us from falling. 10 God, you have tested us, as people test silver with fire. 11 You let us be trapped. You put heavy burdens on us. 12 You let our enemies run over us. We went through fire and water, but you brought us to a safe place.
13-14 So I bring sacrifices to your Temple. When I was in trouble, I asked for help and made promises to you. Now I am giving you what I promised.
15 I bring my best sheep as burnt offerings. I offer the smoke from them up to you. I give you sacrifices of bulls and goats. Selah
16 All you people who worship God, come and I will tell you what he has done for me.
17-18 I cried out to him for help, and I praised him. If I had been hiding sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened to me.
19 But God did listen to me; he heard my prayer. 20 Praise God! He did not turn away from me—he listened to my prayer. He continues to show his love to me! — Psalm 66 | Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) The Holy Bible, Easy-to-Read Version Copyright © 2006 by Bible League International.
