“Steve. Stevie, c’mon. Wake up, please.”
Steve shoots upright with a sound that's half snore and half growl, bleary eyes scanning the bedroom for threats. Then, his nostrils flare and the feral snarl gives way to a disbelieving frown.
“What, seriously?” he asks. “Again?”
Eddie shrugs. The movement makes more slick ooze from between his legs. Maybe he'd be embarrassed about it, if Steve's pupils didn't blow up like that, or if his scent didn't spike like it does. Or if he wasn't feeling this desperately, mind-numbingly horny.
“Sorry?” he says. “I'd take care of it myself, but it's getting kinda hard to reach, what with your kid in the way.”
Being pregnant is fucking bizarre.
Eddie has tried to approach it with an open mind, once the initial shock wore off and Steve assured him he wasn't going anywhere. But now, six months in? The whole thing just continues to weird him out.
Don’t get him wrong, he loves Steve. He’s the most perfect alpha and mate Eddie could've asked for. He’s going to make an amazing father to this kid. Which Eddie is sure will be adorable. He just sort of wishes he could skip the part where he needs to grow it in his own belly, being forced to put up with another hormone-induced ridiculousness every other week.
Hell, he thought the morning sickness was bad. Or the mood swings. Or the inexplicable cravings for salt and vinegar potato chips at three in the morning. But this most recent thing is well and truly taking the cake.
Steve yawns and grumbles, and Eddie can't say he blames him. The kid isn't even born yet and here he goes, robbing them both of their much needed sleep because his body has decided they need to get it on at least two times a day or perish. It’s fucking stupid!
Still, Steve folds back the covers, pulls open the nightstand drawer, and slips closer. Eddie sighs in relief when his mate's naked body slots into his from behind, already hard and pressing against his entrance, right where he needs it. Only a second later, the warm, solid weight of Steve’s cock is joined by something else, something smoother and colder, and the sigh turns into a low moan. Steve laughs softly and kisses his naked shoulder as the dildo hums to life.
What did he say? Best goddamn alpha in the world.
“This is so weird,” Steve murmurs as he pushes in, the combined girth of his cock and the toy stretching Eddie wide open, his free arm wrapping around the soft swell of Eddie’s belly to pull him close. “This was in none of the pregnancy books.”
“I know, ri-?” Eddie starts to say, but needs to stop himself for the chirp that bubbles from his chest. He feels deliciously full, the low vibrations of the toy sending shivers all the way down his spine, making little fireworks sizzle low in his abdomen. “Right? Seriously, what the fuck? You’ve knocked me up already, not like you can put ano- … another one in there.”
Steve, who has just started rolling his hips in lazy circles, goes very still. For a few seconds, the only sound in the bedroom is that of the dildo still humming away.
“What?” Eddie asks when he still hasn't moved after a while. “Steve, I swear to God, if you've fallen asleep with your dick inside of me I'll-”
“No,” Steve blurts. “I'm awake. It's just …”
He pauses to clear his throat and fidget, and that is when Eddie catches the change in his scent. Earthy and heady and distinctly aroused.
“Oh God,” he groans. “Don't tell me that does it for you!”
“What?” Steve mutters, and Eddie doesn't need to see his blush to know it's there. “You gotta admit, the thought is kinda hot.”
His hand finds Eddie’s belly, splaying over the round shape of it, and Eddie’s own cock twitches treacherously.
“Shut up, it's not,” he says, even as the familiar feeling pools at the base of his spine, hot and tight and urgent. Steve chuckles, pressing his face into the crook of his neck and scraping his teeth over the mating bite there.
“Your scent says otherwise, baby,” he murmurs, and Eddie can feel his smile against his skin as another chirp escapes him. “Just imagine … me stuffing you with my cock? Filling you up with my come, knotting you so good that not a single drop escapes? Breeding you round and full with my pups? I wonder how many I could put into you.”
“Oh God,” Eddie groans, baring his neck for better access and rocking his hips back as Steve finally, finally starts moving his cock and the toy inside of him again. “You're such a weirdo.”
Steve laughs, picking up speed. “Takes one to know one. Maybe that's the reason you can't get enough lately. Why no matter what I do, you never seem to be full enough. Why I need to use this thing…”
He pauses to push the toy in further, hitting that spot deep inside that sends sparks of pleasure zapping all the way into Eddie’s fingertips and toes.
“... to get you anywhere near satisfied for a few hours.”
“Aw, don't tell me you're jealous,” Eddie says. He tries to sound teasing but it comes out a lot weaker than intended. It's difficult, being smart while Steve is taking him apart in all the best ways. “You know there's no need to, right? Not with your baby in my belly and your mark on my neck. I'm all yours and nobody else's, alpha.”
Steve growls at the word, his summer forest scent filling the room like a tangible thing, and that is all the warning Eddie gets before the toy is pulled out and he finds himself flipped on his back, Steve's cock still inside of him, Steve’s lips claiming his for a hungry kiss.
“Nobody else’s,” Steve repeats. The bed frame creaks under the power of his thrusts as he fucks Eddie into the mattress. “All mine, forever and ever and ever.”
Eddie can’t say he minds the thought one single bit.
*
“You’re so beautiful like this, have I told you?”
Dawn is starting to creep through the blinds of the bedroom window, but Steve keeps running reverent hands over Eddie’s belly, eyes full of awe, and Eddie preens under the attention.
“Don’t mind if you tell me again, big boy.”
Steve purrs, pushing back Eddie’s sweaty fringe so that he can kiss his forehead and the bridge of his nose. “Absolutely breathtaking. My mate, carrying my child. I’m gonna put so many in you.”
“Yeah, fine, whatever,” Eddie yawns, stretching his arms over his head and arching his back as well as he can. The movement makes Steve’s knot, still large and locked inside of him, catch deliciously. “Can we just try to make it one after the other? I like actually walking places instead of rolling. Call me old-fashioned, but it’s an ability I’m rather attached to.”
“Oh, yeah?” Steve gives him a smug grin and rolls his hips. “There's another thing you're attached to right now, and that's my-.”
Eddie slaps a hand in front of his mouth. “Ugh, you're such a dork. I hope the kid doesn't inherit your sense of humor.”
Steve kisses his open palm.
“I hope they inherit your everything,” he says, ridiculously earnest, and Eddie needs to bury his face in the sheets to hide the way his face ignites.
“Whatever,” he mumbles at the pillows, ignoring how Steve’s chest quivers with barely concealed laughter. “Let's go back to sleep. Have you looked at the time?”
“Says the one who woke me because he needed to get dicked,” Steve grumbles, but obediently pulls the covers over them, curling himself around Eddie.
Silence descends over the bedroom, and Eddie loses himself in Steve’s soothing scent as he slowly begins to drift off again.
“Don't listen to him,” he hears Steve whisper, just before sleep claims him. “I'm hilarious and he knows it.”
A warm hand settles on his belly.
“Sleep well. Can't wait to meet you.”

🚪 svt when they don't open the door for you when you knock
a/n: weirdly specific but i was triggered by this recently hence; not properly proofread word count: 3.8k tags: comfort!svt, gn!annoyed+emotional!reader, reader described to be smaller than svt, fluff, pet names, emotional tears, some raised voices (to and from minghao)

✎﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏
Seungcheol — immediately stands up when he hears just the keys jingling at the door. He runs to reach it before you turn the knob but he’s too late.
But before you could even start complaining, before you could even glare at him, Cheol immediately embraces you and says “I’m sorry, I’m sorry I didn’t hear your knocks, I have no excuse.”
In this instance, all his pouts are not to annoy you, but to beg you to get rid of your annoyance at him. So try as you might to stay annoyed at him, how could you when he’s got you locked safe in the embrace of his strong and secure arms?
(i’m sorry cheol’s is so short because……..i think this is the most accurate i can get him honestly it’s just really straightforward like this for him)
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Jeonghan — immediately walks out of your shared room to greet you as soon as he hears the door open.
“You’re home—” he says with arms outstretched, but you cut him off instantly.
“Why didn’t you open the door for me?” He stays silent, a questioning look on his face. “I knocked so many times, but you know we can’t knock too loudly right? I was waiting for you to open the door, but you didn’t.”
You roll your eyes and steam off to your room, sidestepping him and his efforts to talk to you. When you emerge and settle on the couch, he sits beside you but at a slight distance because he knew better than to keep pressing when you were like this.
When he sees that your breathing started to regulate and your expression seemed to neutralize, that’s when he reaches for your hand and laces his fingers in yours. “How was your day, my angel?”
You just look at him. He persists, kissing the back of your intertwined hand. “Come here, I know you need a hug.”
Reluctantly, you lower your pride and scoot closer to him, settling on his chest. “Now, what’s bothering my angel? I know it’s more than just the door, and I’m really sorry that hurt you. But it’s more than the door, isn’t it? How are you really?”
You fight back tears because you know he’s right. It just wasn't your day and nothing went well, and you feel so bad that you projected your unnecessary anger at him.
You hug him tighter and mumble out an “I’m sorry Hannie,” to which he replies, “I’m sorry too, it’s okay. Hannie is here to listen, I’m here.”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Joshua — doesn’t realize his mistake at first and greets you like normal: with a smile, a hug, and a kiss on the cheek. He quickly realizes that something was off when you don’t return the said hug and kiss as enthusiastically as you usually do, and your smile doesn’t quite reach your eyes. When you only gave one word replies to him asking how your day was, alarms flare in his head.
He stops whatever he’s doing and does the same to you, taking the few groceries you were packing away from your hands and replacing them with his. he looks you in the eye, the alarm and guilt so palpable in his.
“I’m sorry,” he immediately prefaces. “What did I do? Or what did I not do? I’m so, so sorry.”
At his apologies, you started feeling bad as you saw him so helpless, but you also couldn’t hold back the whining tone from your voice as you said, “You knew I went to get some groceries. Why didn’t you open the door?” You feel bad, yes, but you’re also still annoyed.
He sighs in realization and frustration, before he looks back to you and caresses your cheek, then wordlessly pulls you into his chest. He strokes your head and smooths down your hair, a gesture that never fails to comfort you.
“I’m sorry, love. I’m really sorry. I really didn’t hear the door, I promise I didn’t mean to.” You stay like that for a while, just holding each other before he breaks away, saying he’ll be right back. When he emerges from your room, he had a light jacket on to cover his tank top.
“Let’s go.”
“What?”
“For a walk. And a snack. And because I know something else is bothering that pretty head of yours,” he says with a kiss to your forehead. “Really tell me about your day, love. I want to hear all about it.”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Junhui — plays along with your annoyed air at first, mocking your tone whenever you said “Why didn’t you open the door?” with his own mischievous smile.
When he saw that you didn’t just glare at him once or twice—it was five times to be exact—he slowly tones down, then fully stops when you stay silent. That’s when he realizes how seriously annoyed you were at this miss.
He isn’t very physically and verbally expressive of his love, but he wordlessly proceeds to set the dining table for you the moment you sat there, cautious of how you were going to react. When he was done, he sat down with you, stealing glances at you as you proceeded with dinner. When you asked if he had eaten, he shook his head silently.
As some time passed and there was a slight lull while you were eating, he grabs your hand and looks you in the eye with intent and remorse. “I'm sorry I didn’t open the door for you. I’ll be way more attentive next time.”
For the first time since you arrived, the frown on your face melted because here was Junhui so straightforward and affectionate when he rarely was. The moment he saw that smile on your lips, he leaned in to kiss it. “There’s my favorite smile.”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Soonyoung — at a loss for words as to how to make it up to you. But because it was Soonyoung, you couldn’t really stay annoyed at him for so long. After all, that was the first time it happened and he just happened to catch you on a bad day too, and you see that it never happened again.
But you also saw there’s more to it than that. Since then, he proceeds to open literally anything for you, from bedroom and car doors, to jars and cereal boxes, even the TV at one point, grabbing the remote from your hand and doing a simple push of a button for you.
He only stops when you ask him “Soonyoungie, I know how unbelievably sweet it is for you to open these things for me, but are you still doing this because of what happened before?”
He just looked at you and pursed his lips. He really didn’t want to make you feel anything negative, especially when he was the cause of it. He wordlessly gave you a sullen nod.
You melt at this and pull him in for a hug, repeatedly reassuring him that you weren’t annoyed at him anymore and that he could stop. Well, he didn’t completely stop, he realized that it was no big deal to do even the smallest things for you.
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Wonwoo — was always busy with his games whenever you knock at your door and no one answers. You were pretty used to it, in fact. It wasn’t everyday, but it happened often. On those days, you just go to him and kiss his forehead. Most times, he immediately stops the game and dedicates his time to you.
But that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t make you a bit sad everytime he fails to greet you at the door. So when a time came that this happened for how many days straight, your sadness turned into frustration and then annoyance.
It reached its peak when he was so engrossed with whatever he was playing that he didn’t even look to you when you arrived, didn’t even greet you. You scoff, but it fell to deaf ears inside his gaming headset. You walk out and busy yourself with something, anything besides him. When he does finally come out, he greets you, but is given the cold shoulder. He notices it right away.
“Love?” Silence. “Baby?” More silence. He attempts to hold your hand, but you pull it away. Oh shit. He tries again, inching closer to try and hug you, but his advances are rejected as you move away from him.
He sighs with defeat, knowing that he won’t get anywhere when you’re like this. So the evening passed in silence. When you two were finally getting ready for bed, you try to find sanctuary under the covers for the hurt in your heart. You try to sleep, but it wouldn’t come. You feel Wonwoo’s side dip with his weight, and when he settled down, he finally got the chance to wrap you in a hug.
“Talk to me. Please. I think I know what this is about, so just talk to me. I know we won’t be able to sleep without fixing this problem. Please.”
You cave and face him, tears threatening to fall from your eyes. And he realizes how grave his mistake was.
Since then, he always came running to the door at the first few knocks, greeting you with a tight hug and a soft forehead kiss. You wonder how, and you find out that the sounds from his games were a little too loud whenever you arrived.
“Wonwoo-ya! Where were you? How could you abandon us to die?” You peek into his gaming room and hear frustrated voices coming from the speakers.
“Sorry! I had to attend to more important things,” he speaks into his mic with a wink toward your direction.
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Jihoon — was a homebody, and always answered the door without fail. That is, whenever he was home before you were, which was a rare occurrence. It was a different story for his perpetually locked studio. He never answered the door for anyone, not even you. So as long as he was inside and could unlock the door remotely, you entered quietly to not disturb his artistic process.
There was one rule, most especially applicable to him, and that rule is no work was to be brought home. He rarely took breaks anymore when at the office and in the studio, so home was a place for rest.
He followed the said rule religiously, until you experienced unanswered knocks similar to how he is in the studio. For the past few days when you open the door, you see him slumped over his desk with work, samples streaming from the speakers or strewn paper filled with various lyrics.
For the nth consecutive time this happens, you were fed up with him. Your efforts at knocking to get his attention proved futile, so you called. He answered on the second ring.
“Jihoon-ah. I’ve been knocking for 10 minutes. Why aren’t you answering?”
You were greeted at the door by a breathless Jihoon, confused and slightly annoyed, asking you “Why didn’t you just open the door?”
That did it for you. “Because we’re not at your studio, Jihoon. We’re supposed to be at home.” You pushed past him in frustration, and his actions slowly dawned on him.
The next day, you wake to a soft kiss on your forehead and a whispered “I love you” before Jihoon left for work. Your annoyance has mostly died down, but it was replaced by a pang of sadness, that was quickly replaced by shock when you exited your room and saw what was on the table.
It was a bouquet of delicate flowers in your favorite color, nothing grand, but something well thought of. You notice something glinting tied around the stems. It was a key. On the table was a note: “I will open all the doors for you, and leave them open for you and only you. Even the door to the studio will be unlocked for you. I’m sorry. - Your Ji”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Minghao — doesn’t immediately understand what the big deal is about.
"It’s just a door."
That’s what you hear him say when he finally asks why you’ve been annoyed and cold the moment you stepped into the apartment.
“It’s not just a door, Minghao!”
“You don’t hear me say the same thing when you don’t open the door for me, do you?”
“But I apologize after! It’s like you don’t even care!”
“I care, but it’s just not a big deal for me.”
“Well then if it’s not a big deal, why couldn’t you do something so simple?”
“I didn’t mean to not hear you knocking! I just happened to be preoccupied then!”
“Wow, so you were too preoccupied to even greet me? To apologize to me?”
It was a bad day for both of you, and you ended up fighting fire with fire, bringing up even unrelated issues from past and present, until one of you reached your tipping point, all from a simple gesture not done.
At that tipping point, he is rendered silent. “Pause. I can’t do this.”
You nod. “Pause.”
After a few moments, he speaks again. “I’m sorry. You know how blunt I can be. I didn’t see right away that it’s not what you need right now.”
You nod. “I’m sorry. It’s really not my day. I just couldn’t understand how you could say that as if it’s nothing.”
He initiates contact, reaching for your hands and circling them around his waist, and you effortlessly lean into the embrace he forms around you. He presses a soft kiss on the crown of your head. His lips stay there when you hear him say, "It's not nothing. It's never nothing with you."
“Then please just open the door next time?”
He lightly chuckles, and you feel his chest move with it. “It really is just a door. But okay, I’ll make sure to always open it for you.”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Mingyu — always opens the door for you. No contest.
But on the rare occasion that he misses to do so, and he caught you on a bad day at that, he just stands there like a helpless puppy as the gravity of his actions sinks in. Whether you say your choice words, or with no words at all, he will know what he did wrong right away.
You storm into your room and he quickly follows, but your body language made it clear that you didn’t want to be disturbed. Despite his height, you easily sidestepped him as you made your way into the bathroom to shower.
Mingyu was standing by the door of the bathroom when you finished. You tried sidestepping him again, but he stood his ground this time, catching you in his embrace, rubbing your back, then kneading your temples. He led you back to your room, helping you dress up, dry your hair, massages your hands. While you do your skincare, he combs your hair straight and with no tangles. When you’re done and you stop to look at each other in the mirror, he hugs you from behind, and you allow him to do so.
“I’m sorry, baby. I’m sorry. I won’t do it again, I won’t.” He buries his face in the crook of your neck and doesn’t let go until you finally give him a kiss on the cheek, one that was denied from him when you arrived. You tried really hard to stay annoyed at Mingyu, but you can’t, you just can’t.
So he always opens the door for you, without fail. He’d rather see your endless smiles if it meant doing something as simple as this.
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Seokmin — you knock at the door, knowing Seokmin is inside because you can hear him busy inside. It isn’t as usual for him to be home earlier than you because it was usually the other way around, so when he doesn’t open the door for you, your annoyance slowly grew with every knock.
You were just so tired and couldn’t wait to lie down but he couldn’t even open the door for you? You fumble with your keys, even dropping it in frustration, and he still didn’t hear you.
When you finally open the door, you hear music playing from the speakers and you can smell something…off. A panicked yelp confirms that yes, indeed, something is wrong, and you follow the scent to the kitchen, where you see Seokmin trying to save what was left of his bowl’s contents.
“Seokminnie, are you okay? What happened?”
His alarmed eyes met yours and were soon filled with disappointment. “You’re here. I didn’t even hear you come in. I’m sorry, I…I was just trying to make you something because I know you’re tired with all those messages you sent me and it was just the right timing that I could leave work early so I rushed home and then this happened and—”
You can’t believe you had the gall to be annoyed at him when he was the sweetest, most thoughtful man on earth. You take the bowl from his hands and hug him, resting your head on his beating heart. He molds himself into you and wraps you in his arms.
“I love you, Minnie.”
He kisses the crown of your head and rests his chin there while rubbing your back reassuringly. “I love you too. You can rest now, I’ll take care of this. Don’t worry.”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Seungkwan — you were so ready to be petty and annoyed, you already had choice words in mind because you think this was payback for all the times you absentmindedly did the same to him, how he was left stewing but you secretly always took this chance to placate and soothe him because you knew he liked it when you fussed over him.
Nonetheless, you tried to be as obnoxious as possible while fumbling with your keys and opening the door. Seeing the back of his head leaned on the couch, you couldn’t even believe that he didn’t turn his head to you until you stood in front of him and was immediately silenced.
Seungkwan was fast asleep, deeply asleep that your noise didn’t even wake him. You slowly backtracked and remembered what his day was like today, how it was packed to the brim with schedules from one place to another, and you felt guilty as hell.
As quietly as you could, you brush his hair away from his face. You overestimated how deep his sleep was though, because his eyes flow open the moment he felt your touch.
“Wha—you’re home!” He grabs your hand and looks at you with sleepy eyes that closed again when he realized that “Ah no, I fell asleep. I was trying to wait for you but—”
You shushed him at that moment and said it was okay because this tired sleepyhead needs to rest already. You pull him up from the couch, where he wordlessly fixed himself against your side and kissed the side of your head as you walked into your shared room so you could tuck him in properly.
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Vernon — was watching a movie and was so fixated on it that he didnt even notice you were in until you opened the light.
“Oh—oh! Youre home!” He scrambles to pause the movie and brisk walk straight to you for a tight hug, even swaying slightly side to side. When he breaks apart and sees the slight frown on your face (that you quickly assembled after it got wiped away with that damn heartwarming hug), he tilts his head to the side.
“I know that face. What did I do? Is it because I didn’t open the door?” He widens his eyes in acknowledgment as it clicks in his head and lets out a defeated smile.
“I’m sorry” and while he still had you in his clutches, he kisses your nose.
“I’m sorry,” and a kiss on your cheek, another apology with another kiss to your other cheek, your forehead, your lips, your eyes, until you're smothered with his kisses.
He doesn’t stop until you were pushing him away, but he achieved his goal of making you smile. “Are you still annoyed? I’m not stopping,” He says, returning your smile with your favorite gummy smile of his.
“No, okay, stop! I’m okay. I’m not annoyed anymore…but don’t do it again.”
“Got it,” with one final kiss, a deeper one on your lips. When you both come up for air, he follows it up with “Come on, what do you wanna watch?”
───────────── ౨ৎ ─────────────
Chan — apologized as profusely as he could after seeing your annoyed face, hugging and kissing and never letting you leave his embrace until you finally said you weren’t annoyed anymore.
You let it go then, but you’re still a bit petty, and decided to do an Uno Reverse on him when the opportunity presented itself. You acted as nonchalant as possible when you heard him struggle with his keys, open the door, and finally face you from where you were seated.
When you look up from the book you were reading, you tried to act as surprised as you could. “Oh, Channie! You’re home.” You could see a sheen of annoyance masking his face, one he was trying to keep down.
“Didn’t you hear me knocking?”
“…No, sorry. I guess I was too into this book. I’m sorry Channie,” you say with the best pout you could muster.
You see his eyes narrow ever so slightly, before he smiles and leans down to kiss your forehead. “It’s okay, baby.” He wordlessly settles down beside you on the couch and pulls you in to cuddle and hold you tight.
You were dumbstruck to say the least. He wasn’t…annoyed? “You’re not annoyed at me?”
He pulls you in closer, nuzzling his cheek against yours before saying “No,” followed by a kiss to your cheek. “But I know you still are. And I’m really sorry. So I’ll just hold you tight until this hurt goes away.”
Your heart swells with pride at how he instantly saw through your seemingly tough facade. You melt against him, all sign of annoyance gone from you as you whisper a “Thank you, Chan.”

•••
As soon as Azriel was awake the next morning, Y/N thrust a coffee into his hands. Azriel took it, barely comprehending anything at all. If he didn’t feel Y/N touch his arm and shake it, he would have been sure that he was dreaming. Instead of the rain they had the previous day, sunlight streamed through the window, nearly blinding Azriel from where he was sitting on the couch.
Y/N barely let Azriel sit around long enough to even finish his coffee before she thrust some of his clothes his way.
“Get dressed,” Y/N said. “It could start raining at any point and we haven’t had weather like this in a while. Oh! And the market is on too. I want to get there before they begin closing down for the week.”
“Isn't it early in the morning?” Azriel questioned. “Everything will be open until long after midday.”
“That isn’t the point,” Y/N sighed. “I want to have a look around all of the good stalls! There is a jewellery one that I have been meaning to go to for a long time but I’ve never had the chance to go.”
Y/N fell back down on the couch and huffed. Azriel only watched on with amusement. The clothes on her figure suited her more than anything Azriel had seen her in before. The dress clung to her waist and flared out around her, stopping at her mid calf. The sleeves draped across her shoulders and gave it an elegant look. It wasn’t even the dress that gave Y/N an elegant look. She had always carried herself that way. However, the way she sat on the couch was in no way elegant.
Y/N lightly nudged Azriel’s arm. “Stop your gawking and get dressed.”
Azriel’s mouth opened and closed, trying to form some kind of response but he couldn’t think of one. He thought she didn’t realise he was staring.
Y/N smirked. “I see I’ve rendered you speechless.”
“You have not,” Azriel retorted, standing to his feet. He stretched his wings wide while stretching his arms.
As he did so, he did not fail to notice Y/N now gawking at him. Azriel smirked. “I see you are now gawking at me.”
Y/N looked away, clearly flustered. “I– shut up.”
A deep chuckle emitted from Azriel as he walked away to the bathroom to change, leaving Y/N flustered on the couch. As he entered the room and closed the door behind him, Azriel let out a breath. He changed as quickly as he could, not wanting Y/N to continue waiting for him. As he changed, the only thing he could think of was Y/N and her excitement to look around the market. Azriel smiled upon remembering her utter joy and excitement as Y/N explained where she wanted to go. The light in her eyes never dimmed for a moment. Azriel hoped it never did.
The moment Azriel exited the bathroom, Y/N was waiting by the door. She smiled upon seeing him. “Come on! Let’s go.”
Azriel followed her out of her apartment and into the bright sun. There was still a slight chill in the air but it wasn’t too bad for Azriel. If Y/N was cold she didn’t make it known at all as she simply linked her arm through Azriel’s and dragged him in the direction of the market.
***
Azriel could tell that they were nearing the market from the rise in volume around them. More and more people came into view until the whole street was crowded with different vendors and customers. Azriel’s shadows became restless around him as he surveyed the crowd. Azriel never considered himself an anxious person before, that had only become a recent development. For too long he had only held the company of his family and perhaps anyone who he was dealing with in Hewn City. Azriel couldn’t remember the last time he was in a crown this large.
“Are you okay?” Y/N asked, her wide eyes staring at him in concern.
Azriel cleared his throat, trying to sooth his shadows but no matter how much he tried, he couldn’t. They were betraying exactly how he felt. “I’m okay,” he lied.
Y/N did not look like she believed him at all but she didn’t comment on it, which Azriel was grateful for. Azriel looked back out into the crowd and let out a small breath. As he went to take a step forward, Y/N unlinked her arm from his and trailed her hand down his arm to grasp his hand. She linked her fingers with his and gave his hand a small reassuring squeeze. His shadows calmed almost instantly and settled around him.
Azriel looked down at her and gave her a small grateful smile. The feeling of her soft skin in his palm instantly relaxed him.
Y/N gave him a small nod before taking the lead and walked them both through the crowd. Azriel had no idea where Y/N was going first but he was happy to follow. As they manoeuvred through the crowd, some people stopped and stared at Azriel, knowing exactly who he was. Normally Azriel wouldn’t care at all, but now, being with Y/N, he did. Some of the stares were judgemental and some even fearful. Azriel tried to offer a reassuring look to everyone he passed, but his attempts were futile.
Reluctantly, Azriel let go of Y/N’s hand. Y/N instantly stopped in her tracks.
“Why did you let go?” she asked.
“People are staring,” Azriel said, insecurity lacing his tone. “With some people I don’t have a perfect reputation.”
“And you think I care?” Y/N said. “Az, I know what you do and I know the reason you do it. To keep the people of this court safe. If others cannot see that, they are not worth your time.” Y/N linked her fingers with Azriel once again. “Now do not let go again.”
The smile that pulled on his lips was bright as Y/N held tightly onto his hand. Azriel never wanted to let go again.
“The jewellery stand is over here,” Y/N said. “If they don’t have any nice stock left because of you, Azriel. Mother help you.”
Azriel only chuckled quietly as Y/N dragged him over to the stall. Upon seeing the beautiful jewels decorating the stall, Y/N gasped. Azriel felt his heart skip a beat upon seeing Y/N’s face light up.
“Everything is so beautiful!” Y/N exclaimed.
She pulled Azriel closer to the stall and began to examine all of the pieces. She picked up a necklace with a small glass pendant in the centre of it.
“Ah,” the vendor said. “That necklace is one I have been working on for a while. I added a small enchantment to it.”
Y/N looked at the necklace in wonder. “What is the enchantment?”
The vendor smiled and looked between Y/N and Azriel. “Nothing bad, I can promise you that. But if you choose to buy it, the enchantment will show to whoever touched the glass pendant.”
Y/N lightly touched the pendant. Nothing happened.
“It is rather beautiful,” Y/N said. “I’ll take it.”
The vendor smiled. “A beautiful necklace for a beautiful lady.”
Y/N looked at the ground, slightly flustered at the vendor's compliment. The hand not holding Y/N’s clenched. He wasn’t sure why.
“That will be one hundred gold marks,” the vendor said. “One hundred and ten if you would like it gift wrapped.”
“Just the necklace itself is fine,” Y/N said, digging in her small bag for the money. She handed it over to the vendor.
The vendor gently placed the necklace in Y/N’s hands. “Thank you.”
“If you like anything else, let me know,” the vendor said before moving to serve another customer.
Y/N turned to Azriel. She held out the necklace to him. “Can you put this on for me?”
Azriel took the necklace from her and Y/N turned around and lifted her hair from her neck. A waft of Y/N’s shampoo hit him and Azriel closed his eyes. It was one of his new favourite scents.
He took a small step closer and wrapped his arms around Y/N’s head letting the pendant of the necklace rest sternum. Y/N shivered as the cold glass made contact with her skin, causing goosebumps to spread across her body. The clasp was simple but Azriel struggled as his fingertips brushed her skin. Y/N leant back into the touch, seeming to seek more.
Azriel wasn’t sure why but all he wanted to do was wrap his arms around Y/N and pull her to his body and bury his head into the crook of her neck. To breathe in her scent. To just be close to her. That was all he wanted all the time–
He hadn’t known her long. They barely ever knew one another. Y/N didn’t even know how he had gotten the scars on his hands. What if his thoughts scared her off? What if she was put off by her seemingly becoming his best friend in such a short amount of time? If Azriel were in Y/N’s position, he would feel that way. Why wouldn’t she?
“Az?” Y/N’s melodic voice cut off his thoughts. “Have you clasped it yet?”
“Oh,” Azriel said, quickly clasping the necklace together. He let his fingers linger for a split second longer before he took a step back, perhaps a little larger than necessary. “Yes.”
Y/N smiled and turned around. “Well? How does it look?”
Azriel looked down at the small glass pendant hanging on a delicate silver chain. Y/N’s eyes lit up as she waited for Azriel’s answer in anticipation. Azriel couldn’t help but answer; “Beautiful.”
He wasn’t just talking about the necklace.
Y/N didn’t respond as her eyes fell behind Azriel and her breath hitched in her throat. Azriel frowned and his gaze followed Y/N’s until they found what she was looking at. They were a pair of sapphire earrings.
“They look just like the ones my mother had,” Y/N said as she picked them up from the table. “I never remembered her wearing them but my father kept them close after she passed. He told me she wore them all the time.”
“What happened to them?” Azriel asked.
Y/N shrugged. “Before I moved here, I lived somewhere that wasn’t the safest. Many break ins. I always thought my building was secure, but when I came back home one day, my whole apartment was flipped upside down and the earrings, along with other valuable items were gone.”
“I’m sorry, Y/N,” Azriel said, his hand brushing lightly against her back.
Y/N offered him a tight smile. “There’s nothing to apologise for. It has been a long time since then.”
Y/N caught the vendor's attention. “How much are these?”
“Ah, I see those have caught your attention,” the vendor said and Azriel was already annoyed by them just as he had been before. “Those earrings took me a while to obtain and even longer to polish to perfection. The price doesn’t come cheap.”
“How much?” Azriel asked, agitated.
The vendor smirked. “Eight hundred gold marks.”
Y/N’s eyes widened the smallest amount. Not noticeable to the vendor but clearly noticeable to Azriel. She placed the box with the earrings inside back down on the stand. “Thank you, but I’m afraid I cannot afford them.”
“I’ll take them,” Azriel said.
This time Y/N’s eyes widened a lot, clearly in shock. “Azriel, you cannot buy them.”
“I can,” Azriel said as he began to count out the money. “And I will.”
Y/N clutched Azriel’s bicep as he counted out the money. “Azriel. You cannot spend eight hundred gold marks on some earrings! That is more than I earn in two months.”
“I have money in my account that I do not know what to do with,” Azriel said. “Let me buy these earrings for you, Y/N. I can see how much you liked them.”
“No, I won’t let you buy them,” Y/N said and pushed Azriel’s hand back down. “Let’s go.”
Before Azriel had the chance to shove the money in the vendor’s hand and take the small velvet box, Y/N had pulled him away from the stand. Azriel fought her the whole way as she stopped at a small bench.
“Why didn’t you let me buy those earrings for you?” Azriel questioned.
“Because spending seven hundred marks on two silly little jewels to decorate my ears is stupid,” Y/N explained.
“We both know that is not the reason you wanted those earrings,” Azriel said and sat down on the bench.
Y/N sighed. “I know. But it was just overwhelming. I haven’t known you for long and you were willing to lose that amount of money over me just because I liked something. How do you even have that money to even consider spending it on me?”
“I have worked as this court's spymaster for nearly my whole life,” Azriel said. “I never really buy anything for myself so over the years, the sum has just added up.”
“Why don’t you buy anything for yourself?” Y/N asked.
Azriel shrugged. “I never need to. Rhys always supplied us with any weapons we may need. I don’t buy materialistic possessions because I don’t feel the need to have them. The only major thing I can even remember buying recently is my apartment. I bought it outright so I don’t need to pay rent on it.”
“Wow,” Y/N said. “That is really sad.”
“What?”
Y/N suddenly gripped his arm. “I didn’t mean it in a bad way. I just meant that it is sad that you have no need to have materialistic possessions. I love buying new things, especially when I go to new places. You’ve been inside my apartment, you see how much stuff I have.”
“And you’ve been inside of mine,” Azriel said. “You’ve seen how little I have.”
Y/N smiled sadly. “Okay, today, make me a deal.”
“What?”
“Spend some money on yourself. It doesn’t matter what it is, even if it is something silly and a little bit stupid. Because you may not realise it but those things can hold sentimental value with a little bit of time,” Y/N explained.
“Y/N–”
“Promise me,” Y/N said, holding out her pinky.
“Seriously?”
“Seriously.”
Azriel huffed a sigh before linking his pinky with hers. One of his shadows wrapped around her hand and lightly caressed her skin. Y/N smiled in delight. “Do they always do that?” she asked.
“Only to those I like,” Azriel said. His shadows had never caressed or interacted with anyone when Azriel’s didn’t wish them to. With Y/N, it was as if he were trying to put a leash on a feral dog.
“You like me?” Y/N asked.
“Of course I do,” Azriel said. “I wouldn’t be with you right now if I didn’t, would I?”
Y/N smiled as she slowly linked their fingers together. “Tell me if I’m too forward but– no I can’t say that. You’’ think it’s weird.”
Azriel smiled softly. “Tell me.”
Y/N giggled and Azriel felt a shiver go down his spine at the sound. “No. It’s embarrassing!”
“I won’t laugh,” Azriel replied. “Whatever it is.”
“I just–you’ve become one of my best friends really quickly,” Y/N admitted. “I never thought when I spoke to you on that park bench that you would become such a prominent presence in my life.”
Azriel was touched by her words. His eyes instantly lost the humour and amusement and filled with pure tenderness. “That isn’t stupid, Y/N. Not at all.”
“I mean it is,” Y/N said. “We haven’t been friends for long.”
“That doesn’t matter to me,” Azriel said. “And I actually feel the same way about you. I just never wanted to say it aloud in case I scared you away.”
Y/N squeezed Azriel’s hands, whether it was intentional or not, Azriel couldn’t tell. “You could never scare me away, Az.”
The moment Azriel smiled, Y/N took her hands from his and gently cupped his face. “There’s those dimples I love.”
Azriel rolled his eyes. “Does this mean I can buy you the earrings now that we have had a heart to heart?”
“You can buy me lunch instead,” Y/N said. “There’s a small restaurant just around the corner that I have always wanted to try. They should have their lunch menu now. We can have lunch and continue our adventures in the market after.”
“Sounds like a plan,” Azriel said, rising to his feet. “Shall we go?”
Y/N stood next to him. This time, Azriel initiated contact first as he linked his fingers through hers. Y/N gave Azriel a cheesy grin before they fought through the crowd in the direction of the restaurant.
***
“Okay, I am sure I have spent enough money today,” Azriel said as he looked at the bags surrounding him.
Y/N peeked inside one of the bags. “Oranges? Really Azriel?”
“I like oranges,” Azriel defended.
Y/N huffed a laugh before patting her side. Her eyes widened in terror. “No, no, no.”
“What’s wrong?” Azriel asked, suddenly serious.
“I left my bag somewhere,” Y/N said.
“When was the last time you had seen it?” Azriel asked.
“I don’t know,” Y/N said, panicking. “The restaurant perhaps?”
“We can go and search there now,” Azriel said, standing to his feet.
“I can go,” Y/N said. “It’s my bag, my responsibility. And it saved us lugging all of the bags around.”
“Are you sure?” Azriel said. “I can go with you.”
“I’m sure, Azriel,” Y/N said. “I’ll be back soon.”
Y/N left in a hurry without another word and left Azriel alone on the bench. He looked around at all of the bags. Even though Y/N had told him to buy things for himself. He had also snuck a few things amongst the rest for her. Another blanket that he knew she would love. A few scented candles. A small wicker basket she had been eyeing. Y/N had seen Azriel purchase it, he defended himself by saying that it would be perfect for the task of having a picnic. Azriel could only hope that would be on the list.
As he looked around at the world surrounding him, Azriel’s gaze fell upon the vendor selling jewellery. Like the others around them, they were packing everything away. Azriel suddenly shot to his feet.
“You,” Azriel pointed to a young male, at most fifty years old.
The young male stopped in his tracks and turned to face Azriel. “Yes?” He asked, his voice trembling.
“Look after the bags here,” Azriel said. “Make sure no one touches them.”
The young male nodded and stood next to the bags, as stiff as a door. Azriel nodded to him before marching up to the jeweller. “Do you still have those earrings?”
“Ah, so you return,” the vendor said.
“Earrings? Yes or no?” Azriel asked.
“Perhaps I have them,” the vendor said. “But as it is past closing, the price will be raised for my after hour services.”
Azriel rolled his eyes. “How much now?”
“One thousand gold marks,” the vendor said.
Azriel scoffed. “You cannot be serious.”
“As death,” the vendor said. “Do you even know what those earrings are made out of? They may look like sapphires but they are made out of the crystal of a fallen star. I would say that I am doing you a deal. Do you realise how rare a fallen star is?”
“Do you realise I can go to the High Lord and tell him that a vendor is overcharging for fake jewellery?” Azriel threatened. “Some of this is real, yes, but you have mixed fakes amongst it all and still charge the same amount.”
The vendor shrugged. “Whatever pays the bills.”
“Was the necklace you sold Y/N real or was that just another one of you scams to get her to buy it,” Azriel questioned.
“I can assure you, shadowsinger, that the necklace I sold your dear friend was certainly real. The enchantment I cannot say exactly what it is as I do not know myself. I was experimenting and I do not know which one took hold. But I can assure you that they were all safe,” the vendor explained.
They tell the truth, his shadows whisper into Azriel’s ear.
“So,” the vendor began, “the earrings. Perhaps since you work for the High Lord, I will give you a discount. Nine hundred and fifty gold marks instead. A small discount goes a long way.”
Azriel huffed and handed over the money.
“Pleasure doing business with you,” the vendor said as they handed over the box containing the earrings.
With a snap of their fingers, the vendor was gone along with their stall and everything else. Azriel blinked as he remained standing there, staring where the stall once was.
“Azriel?” Y/N said. “What are you doing?”
Azriel quickly shoved the box into the pocket of his jacket and turned to face Y/N. “I just thought I saw something. Did you get your bag back?”
Y/N held it up. “Luckily I left it at the restaurant and they kept it safe for me.”
“That’s good,” Azriel said, taking a step closer to Y/N.
As they walked back to the bags, Azriel gestured for the young male to leave, which he did, rather quickly.
“We should be getting home now,” Y/N said. “My feet hurt from standing up all day.”
“I agree,” Azriel said.
Y/N scoffed. “You are a warrior. You told me that you train nearly every day. You cannot complain about your feet hurting.”
Azriel rolled his eyes. “In my defence, I haven’t kept on top of my training.”
Y/N laughed. “A couple of weeks with no training and now your feet hurt too much to stand.”
“I never said that,” Azriel defended himself.
“Wow, I cannot believe the big tough shadowsinger is complaining about his feet hurting,” Y/N teased.
“I am not complaining,” Azriel said, fighting the urge to smile.
“You are!” Y/N exclaimed. “Just wait until I tell–”
Y/N never finished her sentence before Azriel had swooped her up and lifted her over his shoulder. She clutched onto him tightly as she shrieked in surprise.
“Azriel!” Y/N said, lightly hitting his back. “Put me down!”
“No,” Azriel said. “Not until you apologise for your teasing.”
“But I thought you liked being teased?” Y/N said.
Azriel felt a burning blush coat his cheeks. He was glad Y/N couldn’t see.
“Let me down!” Y/N complained.
“I didn’t hear an apology,” Azriel said.
“Okay, I’m sorry,” Y/N said through her laugh.
“That wasn’t so hard was it?” Azriel said.
As he let her down, Y/N didn’t step back instantly and neither did Azriel. The two stood there simply staring at one another, Y/N’s arms wrapped around Azriel’s neck and Azriel’s arms wrapped around Y/N’s waist. Azriel thought Y/N couldn’t look any more radiant. Her hair was dishevelled but somehow it suited her perfectly. Her lips were slightly parted and Azriel had a hard time looking away.
A loud noise from another stall packing their goods away disrupted Y/N and Azriel, he let her arms drop from her waist and Y/N took a small step back.
“Shall we go home?” Y/N said, offering her hand to Azriel.
Azriel took it and linked his fingers with her, feeling deep within him pulse. Azriel simply ignored it.
Together they picked up the bags and as Azriel’s shadows surrounded them, the two of them failed to notice the clear glass pendant hanging around Y/N’s neck turn the faintest shade of pink.

Gala Gal ft. Blackpink Rosé
pairing: Rosé x male reader rating: Explicit wordcount: 2.8k prompt: a young journalist gets a chance of a lifetime with Rosé at a recent event.
Tumblr media
Being a writer for a celebrity magazine has its advantages, such as getting to attend grand events like the Cannes Film Festival, or in this case, the MET Gala. Now you might think, where's the fun or excitement in that? A bunch of rich people dressed in overpriced clothing and posing on the red carpet while you have to ask them redundant questions that no one truly cares about outside a small niche of fans.
That is a reasonable question to ask, and a fair point to make. Hell, there are times when you wonder to yourself just how legitimate of a job this is. You certainly hear that question from your parents enough. But the answer to all of those questions comes from the woman currently walking towards you.
"Thank you for your time," you say to the current girl in front of you.
You have been interviewing some girl who is apparently 'the next Olivia Rodrigo,' which is a wild title to have, but you digress. As you bid her good-bye, a sudden chorus of "Rosé! Rosé over here!" erupts from the group of photographers, followed by a series of flashing light bulbs.
Your eyes flick over to the red carpet area near you to see none other than the 26-year-old starlet, Roseanne Park. Otherwise known as Rosé from Blackpink.
You have never crossed paths with her at any events you have covered; which you just toss up to bad luck or god punishing you for some crime you can’t remember. Either way, it seems like you will finally be getting your chance. Judging from this distance, she is just as beautiful as she appears in all her photos.
Her blonde hair is flowing down her back while loose bangs frame her face as she smiles for the camera. She is wearing a black dress that is form-fitting at the top, held together by two thin straps, and flares outwards at the waist. Frankly, she looks stunning. It is a classy dress that still manages to spark arousal in you. Though, you will keep that last part to yourself.
It is only a few moments later that you have to compose yourself as the press woman directs Rosé towards your vicinity. Adjusting your stance, and growing erection, you cough and put on a friendly smile as she walks over.
"Hi, I'm with Eros Magazine," you introduce yourself, managing to remain composed.
"Rosie, it’s nice to meet you," she says sweetly. She is even more beautiful up close, and that smile is practically paralyzing. Given that you don't trust your tongue at the moment, you decide to keep it simple.
"So how are you tonight?" you question, knowing how many times she must have answered it already.
"I'm great! It's a little cold tonight, but I'm excited to be here," she starts in her accented voice. "I love the Museum of Arts and supporting a good cause is always great. There are so many beautiful dresses and people here. So it's all feeling great right now!" she says, remaining smiling and bubbly throughout her answer.
For your part, you merely nod your head and smile, holding the recorder up to get every word. You go through the litany of typical red carpet questions: what projects are you working on, how's the music coming; all the typical things you could hand in to your editor when a story is due. You can see the press woman getting antsy though. Typical. Figuring you only have one or two questions left, you decide to venture out a bit.
"So, you're going to be going on tour again soon, that must be exciting..."
"It is! You're actually the first one to bring that up all night," she says, a hint of surprise in her voice.
"I do like to do my homework beforehand," you joke with a grin before continuing, "That being said, how do you manage to have fun and unwind? Even at these events, you have to keep a certain image, right?"
Rosé is quiet at first, and for a moment, she glances around as if to check that the coast is clear before she answers, "Oh, you know the girls and I find out ways to have fun. And this is actually my third year at the Gala, so I’ve found the little tricks and ways to have some fun."
There is something about the way she looks at you as she speaks that screams there is more than meets the eye to her words. Maybe it is the coy tone to her voice or the glint in her eye as she smiles. Whatever it is, you suddenly find yourself wondering exactly what ‘some fun' entails.
"By the way," Rosé says, interrupting your thoughts, "Eros Magazine...as in the Greek word for erotic love?"
Again she fixes you with that mischievous grin.
"Uh — yeah. Nice catch," you stammer, causing her to giggle.
"I like it" she says, a look you can’t read in her eye. Before you can ask anything further, the press woman begins to nudge her on to the next reporter. "It was nice meeting you."
"You too, have a good one," you reply, watching her intently as she walks away.
If that is your first and last interaction with the K-pop star, then you can say it has been interesting if nothing else. You get the feeling there is more to that little minx than meets the eye, you are only disappointed that you’d likely never get the chance to delve a bit further.
Covering the event means that you gain access to the party but hardly anyone does any real reporting. After all, these kinds of events are meant for the rich and famous.  To cement their status as celebrities, they then sneak off inside to where they can have their fun. For the most part, you reporters stay together, talk, and drink the free liquor that is available.
You expect your night will be spent at the bar, winding your time down until it reaches an acceptable time to call it a night. But first things first, if you are going to be here on the company dime, you might as well get your money's worth.
"I've been looking for you all night!"
You are in the middle of ordering yet another drink when a familiar accented voice reaches your ears. Turning in your stool, you lay your eyes on Roseanne Park for the second time tonight, only this time there is something a little more...loose to her demeanor. You get an explanation when you spot the glass in her hands and briefly wonder how many she had at this point.
"Me? You must be confused," you say, both amused, curious, and a bit confused, "I don't think anyone at this party has said I’m wanted."
"Well, you are!" she says, smiling as she moves towards you, "And now that I've found you, I have something to show you."
"Don't you have famous friends to entertain?" you question more than protest as she places her drink on the bar and takes your hand.
You catch a glimpse of a hint of a pout on her features, "Don’t worry, they’re occupied." Again, there is that suggestion that something more is going on. Of course, there is the very realistic possibility that your mind is just running away with crazy, erotic theories. But that potential doesn’t stop you from being any more turned on by the thought. Coupled with the fact that Rosé is dragging you through a gala to god-knows-where and you are practically dreaming. In that moment, she could take you to hell for all you care.
"You're going to love it, trust me," she assures, looking back at you as she continues leading.
"Oh, I’m sure," you reply. Your mind is racing with things from a blow job to taking her from behind, so needless to say, you are a bit disappointed when she stops at your destination.
"A photo booth?" you ask, a bit amused at how silly it seems.
Rosé is either undeterred or doesn’t register your lack of enthusiasm as she simply nods, still smiling and pulling you into the booth.
“It's fun! Come on," the blonde insists, pulling you by the hand into the photo booth. Judging by the size of it, the booth is clearly an afterthought to the gala planners, or maybe it just isn’t meant for two people at the same time to occupy it. You do your best to squeeze yourself in so she can close the curtain behind you. To your surprise, Rosé neatly slides onto your lap, her perfect, tight ass sitting right on top of where your hard-on has been growing for the last couple of minutes.
"Alright, so it takes six photos then prints them out there," she points to the deposit box under the screen. She either doesn't feel the bulge pressing firmly against her ass, or she is very good at playing naive.
"Okay," you nod, as if you are bothering to pay any attention to the pictures.
As she shimmies on your lap to get into a better position, you decide to be bold and snake your arm around her slim waist, only to receive no complaints from the pop star. A countdown shows up on the screen, and when it says CHEESE, Rosé throws her arms around you, smiling openly as you try and fail not to look too bewildered. The screen replays your photo, and you can’t help but laugh at your own expense.
"Not bad," you grin, as the counter starts for the second photo.
"Not bad, but I think we can do better!" she says with a determined look on her face. When the screen says CHEESE again, Rosé suddenly leans over and licks the side of your face. You are so surprised you don't know how you react until the photo replays.
"Oh my god! That's great!" Rosé laughs.
You take the next few photos in the same fashion, going for ridiculous and silly in each one. After every photo, Rosé would shift her weight on your lap, rubbing against your erection each time. You are certain that she has to be well aware of what she is doing, and by the time the countdown for the last photo appears, you have made up your mind.
When the screen flashes, you turn Rosé's head to you and push your lips flush against hers. To your surprise, it takes less than half a second for her to respond, her hands moving up to cup your face. You kiss passionately like that until the simple need for air breaks you apart.
"I was starting to think all my work was for nothing," she says, a devilish grin on her face.
You raise an eyebrow at her; apparently, all your theories have just been confirmed. "You planned all this then?"
"I told you we know how to have our fun at these things," she comments, twirling a strand of hair in her finger.
"We?"
Mischief gleams in her gaze for a moment, “Maybe later. I know you’re a reporter, but you shouldn’t ask too many questions.”
She places a delicate finger to your lips as she gets up off your lap. The low ceiling of the booth doesn't allow her to stand up fully, but she doesn't have to as she crouches and reaches under her dress and begins pulling down her panties. "Fuck...these things are definitely ruined. I practically soaked them."
Her comment is more to herself than you, but your cock only grows harder at the revelation. You watch as she slides her thong down past her ankles, and her eyes fall to your crotch. With nimble fingers, she works on your button and zipper, springing free your aching cock.
"Oh wow..." she mutters, eyeing it with an animalistic hunger. "I would love to wrap my lips around that..."
"You're more than welcomed to," you groan, starting to get that sense of teasing with the amount of anticipation that is building. You are tempted to just force her head onto your cock, but you stop short when she speaks.
"Later. We don't have a lot of time."
Your disappointment at that statement is short-lived as she stands again and turns around. Rosé lifts her skirt and hovers over your lap. Grabbing hold of your member, you let out a groan as she positions it at her entrance, rubbing it for a second in her dripping juices. Unable to hold out, you thrust your hips slightly upward, causing your tip to pierce her folds.
"Mmm, somebody's anxious," she purrs, her accent coming out thick.
"Can you fucking blame me?" you say through gritted teeth, reaching out to grab her waist. Before you can yank her down, she beats you to it and spears herself on your rod. "Oh fuck," you let out, feeling how tight her petite body is.
"God, you feel fucking amazing," you mutter into her shoulder.
"Ah~...and you're...much bigger than you look," she says, clearly trying to adjust to the size she just filled herself with in one go. Apparently, the discomfort isn't so bad as she soon begins lifting and dropping herself on your cock slowly. "Try not—ooh— to get too loud," she moans out, her ass rocking against you.
"Speak for yourself," you grunt, your hands gripping her waist firmly as you start to move your hips to match the movement of hers.
You can't wrap your head around the fact that you're fucking a member of one of the most famous girl groups in the world in a photobooth at a gala with hundreds of celebrities. Thankfully, you don't need to wrap your head around it, as long as you keep fucking her. With that in mind, you take control of the pace, gripping her waist and forcing yourself up into her. Each time you spear her pussy, it's like another piece of heaven. Her pussy is squeezing you like there's no tomorrow, only increasing the pleasure you get with each thrust.
"Shit, yes, yes! Fuck me," Rosé chants in a loud whisper as she puts her hand on the console to steady herself as you thrust up into her.
"God, you're fucking tight," you moan, continuing to pound her Australian pussy. "Someone could look in here at any second."
"Oooh, I know," she lets out a shuddering breath.
"You're getting off on that, aren't you?" you continue the dirty talk, sliding a strap off her shoulder so you can push her top down to fondle her pert breast.
"Yes, yes! It fucking turns me on," Rosé pants.
For a moment, you fear she has given you away, but you're too far gone to truly care at this point. Her hands slide down the console, and you're only aware of what happens when the shutter of the camera makes you look up. Looking over Rosé's shoulder as she bounces up and down, you see your photo displayed, Rosé's mouth opened in pleasure.
Grinning to yourself, you increase the speed of your thrusts, determined to get her orgasm face by the last photo.
"OH!" she squeals, surprised by your sudden turn of action. "Oh fuck, right there. Keep going," she pants, her hand covering yours and holding it firmly against her breast.
You squeeze firmly, shoving every inch of your meat deep into her snatch. Her lithe body arches back into you. She's panting heavily, each thrust causing her to take a sharp breath. You turn her head towards you and kiss her, her hand gripping the back of your head. It's sloppy and passionate, perfectly fitting the current heated moment that is occurring.
"I'm close. I'm so fucking close," Rosé chants, continuing to grip your head as she moves her hips to yours.
A few moments later, you have to cover her mouth with your hand as she shrieks her orgasm. Her walls clench around you as she comes, her juices flooding your cock.
"I'm going to cum," you warn, knowing you aren't going to last through her orgasm.
"Mmmph," Rosé says, until you remove your hand, "In me! Cum inside me!"
You don't take a second to question it, instead thrusting your hips upward, your cock pushing into her one last time as you empty rope after rope of your seed into her womb. You continue unloading into the star for what seems like eternity until you both finally collapse in the booth. Her body heaves on top of yours as she tries to catch her breath.
"I don't think I've ever cum that hard before," you pant, causing the Blackpink singer to giggle.
"Don't speak too soon," she says, leaning back and kissing you softly on the lips. Thinking of what she could have planned only causes your cock to twitch inside her with anticipation.
One thing is for certain: this girl certainly knows how to have fun.

another drabble because i have soft!wade literally living on my mind 24/7. not proof read!
x gn!reader showering with deadpool and caring for him when his skin has a bad flare-up.
Tumblr media
you had been in a relationship with wade for a couple of years now. you knew him inside-out. you loved him so deeply and would do absolutely anything for him, and he was totally head-over-heels for you because of it.
unfortunately, sometimes his mutation causes the scars on his skin to flare up, becoming irritable and painful. he would say that his skin essentially hurt him all the time, and he was just very used to the pain. however when these rare moments happened where it hurt more than usual, you tried to do everything you could to make things more comfortable for him.
in the earlier stage of your relationship, when the first flare-up happened, you spent a long time stood in the kitchen surrounded by a huge amount jars, test tubes, liquids, essential oils, and syringes, trying to find the best combination for a special lotion that wade could use to moisturise his unique skin.
wade stood in the doorway, a small smile on his face as he watched your eyes narrow, tongue poking out of your mouth slightly, concentrating so hard on the task in front of you.
you were so engrossed in measuring out the ingredients and stirring your lotions into different labelled pots, that you hadn't noticed him observing you.
"what are you doing, doll?" wade's voice spoke gently as he stepped towards you in the kitchen. you jumped, heart almost skipping a beat as you hadn't suspected anyone to be home with you.
realising it was him, you relaxed. "you're back early" you smiled at him, tilting your head.
"no I'm not" he smiled widely, motioning his head towards the clock, which read 7:36pm.
oh...
you had been stood in the kitchen doing your little experiments for much longer than you had realised.
wade came behind you, wrapping his strong arms around your waist, dropping a kiss to your exposed shoulder, before whispering in your ear. "so... you never told me what you are doing." he stood back and leaned against the counter, inhaling a deep breath of the different smells that you had created. he was getting senses of ginger and honey... coconut and oatmeal.
"if i was to guess, you're starting up some sort of etsy home-business?"
you giggled at his silliness.
"i'm trying to create a lotion for you. to help... you know... your skin. i know it's been hurting recently." you blushed slightly, suddenly feeling a bit embarrassed.
wade felt his heart swell at your words. he almost melted right there on the floor. you had only been together a couple of months, and wade was still very insecure about his appearance around you. but the fact that you were going out of your way to make something to help him, almost made him want to cry.
he knew in that moment that you were something extremely special. you were still in the early stage of your relationship, yet you were being so selfless and kind towards him.
"oh, baby" he whispered, a small smile on his face. "that is so kind. thank you."
the sincerity in his voice made your stomach flutter. you hadn't seen a very affectionate/grateful side of wade yet, but little did you know that this was only the beginning, and you are yet to meet the very clingy, loveable deadpool.
he came and wrapped you in a hug, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
you spent the rest of that evening sat together round the kitchen table, testing the lotions and altering some of the recipes, before he settled on one that he really liked. he still uses it to this day, and you happily make him a new batch every month.
wade sat in the passenger seat of dopinder's taxi, staring out the window. his lips were curled until a soft smile as he thought about that memory. you had been his biggest supporter since day one.
he climbed out of the taxi and gave dopinder a high five, before slowly making his way up to your shared apartment. his footsteps were slow and heavy as his muscles ached and his skin screamed against his suit with every step that he took. he finally crashed through the door, immediately relaxing slightly as the familiar scent and warmth of home surrounded him.
"hey baby!" he heard you call from the bedroom, as he kicked his shoes off and made his way to find you. you were folding laundry as you looked up at him and smiled, having missed him all day. he managed to smile back, never once breaking eye contact as you approached him for a kiss. resting your hands on his shoulders you pressed a sweet kiss to his lips, a toothy grin on your face as you pulled away.
"are you okay?" you said gently, watching as your boyfriend began to take his suit off, his face screwing up and flinching in agony every once in a while. "does it hurt?" you whispered.
he just nodded his head, a small sigh and grunt escaping his mouth. you frowned, wishing you could take away his pain. "i'm sorry baby, anything i can do to help?"
"i'm gonna take a shower" he said, voice barely above a whisper, as he peeled the last piece of his suit from his body. you followed him into the bathroom, watching as he leaned to turn the shower on to a lukewarm/cool temperature, making you frown again. he couldn't even enjoy the feeling of hot water. "what's the frown for, kitten?" he said, pulling his underwear down and kicking them off his feet.
"i just feel bad for you", you sighed, hating to see the love of your life feel this way.
"don't be silly" he pulled you against him, holding you in a small hug, "i'm used to it."
"but still, you don't deserve it."
"hey now, if i wasn't a mutant, cancer would've got me a long time ago and I never would've met you." he squeezed your shoulders before pulling away, watching your face waiting to see you smile.
he climbed into the shower, before turning back to you. "you can join me if you like," wriggling his eyebrows, "i wouldn't recommend it though, your sweet cheeks will get cold."
you smiled and rolled your eyes. eventhough he was in pain, he was trying to be his usual-self that always cheers you up. you pulled off your clothes and joined him in the shower, letting him stand at the water end. his big eyes looked down at you, filled with love and adoration, but underlying sadness. he was just in pain, and needed some comfort. you noticed immediately, reaching round to grab his soap. it was an expensive one, formulated to be kind and gentle to his skin.
you poured some onto a soft sponge and used your hands to lather it up with some water, directing him to turn around. you placed the sponge ever so gently at the top of his shoulder blades, before slowly moving it down across his back. he tensed up, liking the feeling but hating it at the same time. his hand reached backwards and he used his fingers to brush against your thigh, indicating to you that he wanted to hold your hand. you reached down and locked fingers with him, giving it a small squeeze, whilst still using the other hand to slowly sweep the sponge across his backside. you squeezed the sponge in your hand, letting the soapy water trickle down his body, so you weren't putting any friction on his most sensitive and inflamed areas.
you brought his hand up to your mouth to kiss it, before tightly tugging him to face you again. he turned around to let you wash his chest and stomach.
you peeked up at wade, his head was dropped down to his chest with his eyes screwed shut. you put an arm around his waist, pulling him close and pressing a kiss to his forehead. he leaned into your touch, wanting more. you breathed a laugh against his skin, giving one more kiss, before passing him the sponge and letting him finish washing his more intimate areas. (although he definitely would not have minded if you'd done that for him)
once he was rinsed off, you helped him out of the shower and passed him the fluffiest towel you could find. you left him alone and ventured back into the bedroom, pulling out some clean pyjamas for the both of you, before going to the kitchen to order his favourite chimichangas.
wade eventually appeared, wearing nothing but some cotton underwear. you looked at him confused, "i got some clothes out for you, bub."
his eyes darted down to his hand, where he was holding a bottle of your home-made lotion. your eyes softened as you whispered an "okay", before quickly washing your hands.
you joined wade on the couch where he was turning on a movie, sitting next to him and rubbing some lotion between your hands. he leaned into your touch and began to finally relax against you, as you gave him the gentlest massage you possibly could.
you spent the rest of the evening cuddling your big baby of a boyfriend, using your fingers to moisturise every nook and cranny of his back, arms, chest, legs, hands and feet. your heart melted every time you heard him let out a sigh or a grunt of pleasure, knowing his pain was finally easing. even if it was only slightly.
after you'd eaten, wade laid across the couch with his head in your lap, your hand resting lightly on his head. you were both fighting sleep as you tried to make it to the end of the movie.
before drifting away, you felt wade tilt his head up to look at you. you met his eyes, softly blinking at him, trying to read his thoughts.
"i don't deserve you," he mumbled, reaching his fingertips up to caress your cheek. "thank you for everything"
you stared lovingly at him for a moment, before leaning down and pressing a long kiss to his lips. he meant every word. what did he do to deserve someone who loved and cared for him so deeply?
guys I'm so in love with this fictional man it's not even funny i just wanna kiss his face and give him the love he deserves :'(

Could you ever do a fic were reader is a firefighter and works in the station but her specialty is being an emt. And whenever buck gets hurt he only lets her patch him up. And basically this is one of this situations and she treats his wounds (at her place idk what could be the reason but it doesn't work if it's a public place) and then he starts to get flirty and offers to "repay her" and it's alude to that him and reader have hooked up before.
Tumblr media
FREQUENT FLYER — E.BUCKLEY
when buck gets injured on the job, he always goes back to his favourite paramedic.
evan buckley x gn!reader | 1.7k | fluff | masterlist.
a/n — now this is the type of request i can get behind 🙂‍↕️
Tumblr media
“Again, Buck? Seriously?”
Buck gave a boyish smile as he leaned against the rescue rig, hand pressed to his side. He shrugged sheepishly, trying to look less injured than he was. It clearly didn’t work. As usual.
“What can I say, I get excited.”
“What did you do this time?” You sigh exasperatedly as you climb into the back of the parked ambulance, something from Chimney about him ‘refusing to leave’ until you checked him over.
Buck looked away almost guiltily, avoiding your gaze. He had a bad habit of running into dangerous situations on calls, and an even worse habit of getting injured because of that fact.
“I, uh, fell out of a window.” He mumbled, wincing as he lifted his hand from where it was pressed against his side.
“You fell out of a window,” You could almost be surprised, but it was Evan Buckley you were talking to here.
“And you didn’t get it check out whilst still on the call why?”
Buck shifted on the ambulance gurney as you began to examine his wound. He could feel the lecture coming and he really didn't want to hear it.
But he also knew he deserved it.
“I was fine!” He protested, then hissed as you prod him. “Ow, ow, ow, okay, maybe I wasn’t completely fine.”
He hums as you sigh. “But like, why should I bother Hen and Chim when I can bother you?”
“Maybe because it’s their job to help injured people?”
Buck shrugged, wincing as the motion made his injury flare. “It’s your job, too. And you’re a lot prettier than they are.”
He smirked, earning an eye roll from you.
“I wasn’t on that call with you, so if we’re being semantic, it’s technically not my job in this instance,”
Buck chuckled at that, raising an eyebrow. “Semantic. I like that word. It’s sexy.”
“You are a strange man Evan Buckley, I’ll give you that. Take your shirt off,”
He smirked as you rolled your eyes again, but obediently lifted his shirt over his head. “Yes ma’am,”
You roll your eyes as you kneel down in front of him to get a proper look at the bruising spreading across his torso, not sparing him a response.
Buck couldn’t help the way his gaze lingered as he watched you drop down in front of him. He wasn’t going to deny it—you looked good in your uniform. And you looked even better on your knees. He made a mental note to get hurt more often, just for this view.
But then you pressed a little too hard against the injured spot, earning a painful grimace.
“Hey, gentle with the goods. They’re expensive.”
“And damaged— what the heck did you do to yourself?” You furrow your eyebrows as you prod gently against the lower half of his ribs. “Did you fall onto a fence or something?”
If you didn’t have genuine reason to be concerned about a rib fracture, you might’ve taken a second to note that he’d definitely been doing more abdominal workouts recently.
Buck grumbled, wincing as you pressed against the injury. His skin was mottled in various shades of purple and blue, an obvious sign of heavy bruising. It didn’t look good. No time to focus on his abs today.
“A table—” Another wince. “Nothing a few drinks and a good night’s sleep can’t fix.” He tried, eyes squeezed shut momentarily as you looked up at him with an unimpressed expression.
“Or maybe I just need some of that good paramedic magic and I’ll be all better.” You’re still looking at him when his eyes open again.
“You fell onto a table,” You deadpan his explanation back to him with a resigned sigh, choosing to ignore his additional comment for the time being.
Buck shifted under your gaze. The way your eyebrow was raised in disbelief made him feel like he was being scolded. It was a look you wore well.
“A garden table, yes.” He tried to explain, wincing again as you pressed against the dark bruise on his side. “A table with weird… metal, spikey-like things sticking out of it. Ow— ow, ow,”
“And I’m guessing the table did not survive,”
"No, the table did not survive," Buck agreed with a wince.
He grumbled as you continued your examination, shifting slightly on the uncomfortable gurney. He was starting to regret making you do this inside the ambulance.
Maybe he should’ve waited and paid you a visit at your apartment instead. At least then he could crash on your bed after.
“Well, good news, you will,” You groan as you push yourself back to your feet, rifling through one of the overhead shelves of the ambulance. “No fractures or breaks, just bruises,”
Buck couldn’t help but let out a small sigh. He tried to hide it, but he was relieved at your words. He wasn’t keen on going to the hospital.
“So no hospital?” He asked, watching as you pulled out some supplies. “Just some of that fancy paramedic magic and I’ll be good to go?”
“More like an ice pack and 3 weeks station-bound,” You recover one of the ice packs from a portable cooler on the ambulance, holding out to him.
Buck groaned at your answer. “Three weeks off? You’re joking—“
He stopped as you handed him the ice pack, immediately placing it against the bruised skin. It was instant relief. He sighed at the cold sensation, trying to keep the ice pressed again his skin.
“You’re really going to make me take 3 weeks off?”
“I should make you take off five,”
“Five?!” Buck protested loudly, pulling a face at that. “No. No, I’ll take three. Three weeks,” He didn’t sound very happy about it. Or look very happy about it.
He looked a lot like a petulant child, pouting as he held the ice pack against his bruised ribs.
“Three weeks it is,” You remain indifferent, and it only makes his self-pity more prominent.
Buck slumped back against the gurney, grumbling. He hated being told to sit out of work. He was a firefighter, goddamn it. He was meant to be on the front lines.
But as much as he hated it, he knew you were right. He needed to stop getting hurt. And three weeks was actually a pretty good deal.
Didn’t stop him from complaining though.
“I’m gonna be so bored,” He groaned, pressing the ice pack to his skin with a wince. “What am I supposed to do for three weeks?”
“Clean the engines? Mop the floor? Learn to cook?”
Buck groaned again, mumbling. “All of those things sound boring.”
He glanced over at you, a familiar look in his eyes. It was the look he always got when he was about to do something stupid. Or flirt.
“I know something that won’t be boring….” He drawled, raising his eyebrows suggestively. “A thank you for my favourite paramedic perhaps?”
“You’re not doing anything with that rib, Buckley,” You shake your head at him almost amusedly.
Buck had to bite back a snarky comment. He always forgot how stubborn you could be. Which, he knew, was ironic because he was equally, if not more, stubborn himself.
“Can’t even entertain the idea?” He pushed lightly, wincing as he tried to shift to get a better view of you. “Maybe it’ll help speed up the healing process. A little physical therapy, you know? It worked last time,”
“Last time, you had a bruised jaw, not bruised ribs,” You give him another small shake of your head, rolling your eyes.
Buck grumbled. He knew it was futile to argue with you. No matter what he said, you’d win this one.
“Fine,” he finally admitted begrudgingly. “Maybe a bruised jaw and bruised ribs work a little differently, but still,”
He was pouting again. If it wasn’t for his ribs, he’d have crossed his arms over his chest too.
Your acknowledgment is a hum. “You should sleep sitting up if possible for the next few days,”
Buck groaned again. First an ice pack, then three weeks off work, now he had to sleep sitting up? He was really not feeling this no-physical-activity thing.
“Why do I have to sleep sitting up?” He grumbled, shifting awkwardly on the gurney. “Can’t I at least lay down?”
“Try,” You nod towards the gurney he’s sat on. “Go on,”
Buck rolled his eyes at your response, he was too stubborn to immediately admit that you were right.
So, with a lot of grumbling and a small sigh, he carefully lowered himself onto his back.
And almost immediately, he groaned as pain radiated through his side. “Point… made,” he grumbled.
He put his weight on his arm, pushing himself right back up again, shooting daggers at you.
“Mhm,” You roll your eyes, helping him upright. “That’s what I thought,”
Buck grumbled under his breath as you helped him, still annoyed that you were right. He hated the way he could see the slight smile on your lips as you lifted him up, a small hint of triumph in your eyes.
It was a good thing he was into that, otherwise he might just be tempted to wipe it off your face.
“I hate you,” Buck mumbled sulkily. “Stop being right all the time.”
“Can’t I’m afraid, it’s hard-wired into my brain,”

My chronic pain disabilities (hip fuckery; migraines) do not stop me from working. It doesn't mean I should treat my disabilities with less respect than disabilities that DO make it impossible to work.
When my endo pain was at its worse, I did all the things I was supposed to do--according to HR--to protect my job. I filed ADA paperwork. I communicated when I used it. I had the doctor's note. Etc.
Two days before my hysterectomy, I got a call from HR. "Oh, we're not sure we'll have work for you after you recover."
Which, first of all, is fucking illegal to say to someone who has ADA paperwork in place with you.
And, second of all, you're a fucking liar. I was the ONLY tech writer in a company of 500 people. Don't bullshit me.
I should have filed a complaint and sued the fuck out of them, but all I wanted to do was be able to possibly get out of pain and not have to worry about my paycheck after that. So, I called someone else in the company who I knew would lose his shit if I told him I'd basically just been told I had no work to do.
Two days after surgery, I had an email from HR to my personal account. Which, technically, they ALSO should not have used to contact me while on medical leave that was--like my disability paperwork--100% lined up and signed off on.
But the HR person wanted me to know that "Oh, looks like there IS work for you! Lol! Didn't know!"
This is bullshit. She was very aware.
Years later, I'm at a much better company. My supervisor, who is nothing but supportive, recently floated that it might be good to have ADA paperwork in place for my migraines because they flare during stress, which is the time I'm needed at work THE MOST.
No shit: I went into hard shutdown for about two minutes after he said it. It wasn't a threat or a dismissal of my migraines. It was him going, "Oh, hey, so no one can ever try to use them against you to say you're bad with stress, you might do this."
But all I felt was how I was absolutely fucked over by a bad company because they said, "You need to follow these legal steps," and I did, and they still tried to get around them.
So, no, I'm not dealing with getting punished if I have more than 2k in my bank account. I'm not dealing with people touching me, or my assistive devices (I don't currently use any). I can park anywhere in a lot and walk to the store entrance. But I was disabled, and I AM disabled, and I have had people try to punish me for existing in a body that just fucking HURTS because it HURTS.
It's Disability Awareness Month. I am disabled. Less so than I was ten years ago, which is a fucking stroke of luck. But also my right hip has started to go now, and who knows what the next 10 years will bring.
It's Disability Awareness Month. If someone says, "I'm disabled, and I want to talk about my experience," please pay attention and listen and learn and understand there's all sorts of ways disabled people are fighting to be treated with basic human dignity and under the basic rule of law.

We've had recent disappointments with the endings to series. For me, Last Twilight, Only Friends, and 23.5 stand out. While I loved the Sign to the end, there was that unexplained Tharn getting his freedom from Chalothorn, which made the very ending not quite perfect. And while I loved Century of Love all the way through, I know some folks were disappointed at the ending.
What are some QLs that you consider to have really strong endings?
OOOO what a great question!
10 BLs With the Strongest Endings
Some BLs had better endings than the rest of the show deserved, and some were saved by the ending, while still others built up to a good ending throughout. So I suspect it kinda depends on ones definition of strong. But here are mine (you'll never guess what's at the top? but...) it's in no particular order
Tumblr media
Seven Days - no but ACTUALLY think about it. That ending is truly phenomenal. It ties everything together, gives hope for their relationship without being cheesy AND is crazy romantic, plus it brings the narrative full circle. That ending shot, the direction, the plot, the characters, and the story ALL tied in a neat little bow. It ends by indicating that something is starting for them, something familiar it's just now they are together. Fabulous.
Tumblr media
Light On Me - on the beach, the whole friendship group, the kiss that mirrors their couple habit of cheek squiging? Peak YA BL. It reminded me of Make it Right, and that's no bad thing... for me.
Tumblr media
Our Dating Sim - domestic boyfriends and then the pan over to all their couple photos. So exactly them.
Tumblr media
To My Star - yeah, the sex scene, but remember this was when we finally realized that JiWoo not only liked him all along but actually desired him all along. The tsundere character breaking open for us to see the soft underbelly. Suddenly, all of his behavior made sense in retrospect. They used the final ultra romantic sex scene as a CHARACTER REVEAL. Fucking genius.
Tumblr media
Semantic Error - the BOYFRIENDS of it all, the harken back to both the anime and the manga (with that spank bank file), the teasing and then the breaking of the forth wall. It was multiple cheeky punches out to the audience in a tiny stinger of a scene. Not to mention it had a kind of BL "ending fairy" thing that connected to them both being idols. Perfectly executed.
Tumblr media
Love For Love's Sake - back in beach territory but wow. I mean this show starts with an ending. And it takes a lot for me to believe in the happiness of a parable about death and self worth. They managed it with this show. But that ending was killer.
Tumblr media
My Beautiful Man - the ending made me reassess everything about the show, the story, and the characters. The ending made me love the show. It changed my mind. It BLEW my mind. I might have kinda lost my mind. In real time.
Tumblr media
Unknown - there were struggles with this show and not everyone enjoyed the ending but I totally flipping loved it. FINALLY. You can't tell me that "you don't even know what I dream of" line doens't live in your head rent free.
Tumblr media
Unintentional Love Story - not the ending scene so much as the whole final episode, it's so good. It brings the story together, we get multiple big realizations, sad baby, learning that baby was abused too, defending baby, baby defending himself. RINGS!
Tumblr media
The Eighth Sense - so much peak boyfriend after so much angst. The casual language play and teasing, the stealing of the drink, just everything, and also how very very college it all is.
10 Others I just LOVE
Be Loved In House: I Do - ultra pasteurized cheese fest
Laws of Attraction - THE CAPED WEDDING OUTFITS
About Youth - rainbow kiss cheese fest
Long Time No See - BLOOD COVERED KISSES
Restart After Come Back Home - the pan around lens flare kiss and everything it MEANS
Bad Buddy - It was so CLEVER
DNA Says Love You - the claiming and then the tussle at the cafe? Gorgeous. Adorable. No notes.
Oh! Boarding House - a family gathering while the dads are holding hands behind the couch, adorable
Where Your Eyes Linger - that damn glow up
Tinted With You - perhaps... poly?
Wow... so few Thai BL. I guess this is Korea's strength in the BL sphere? Also more Japan than I expected and outsized rep for Taiwan. (I actually could have stuck a few more from Taiwan on here but they just get SO CHEESY.)

bad idea right? - raphael x f!tav (part two)
Tumblr media
raphael lays some ground rules for your deal and extends an invitation.
author's note: read part one here. 2.3k words. 18+, mdni please. some bickering, some groping. thigh riding. ya know, the usual. ao3 link.
“What are you writing?”
Raphael’s quill runs off the page, a thick line of black ink staining his desk. His nostrils flare and he quickly claps his journal shut, eyeing the incubus with sheer annoyance. He clenched his jaw before giving a soft sigh, his shoulders relaxing as he tries to let the frustration roll off of him. The last thing he wants to do is give Haarlep any ammunition.
“My recent business dealings.” Raphael answers curtly and in one fluid motion slips his journal off his desk into a drawer. His eyes flit up Haarlep’s body before settling at his eyes and scrunches his nose. “And where have you been?” He sets down his quill and leans back in his desk chair.
“You know I like to get some air every so often.” Haarlep yawns as he slinks onto the nearby bed, laying down on his stomach with his head propped up in his hands. “Writing smut again, are we? I can smell a certain aroma from you.” His mouth curls into a sly smile, his pointed teeth poking out from his upper lip. Raphael’s gaze falls to the incubus, eyes narrowing as his lips purse. It’s difficult for him to get frustrated with Haarlep at this point — he’s grown used to his teasing after having him in his “employment” for so long but still this situation is delicate.
“Are you jealous, dear Haarlep?” Raphael’s voice drops to a low purr. He gets up from his padded armchair and saunters over to the bed only to sit beside the other. Haarlep rolls over so that he can face him, claws immediately starting to drift up along his doublet sleeve.
“Not jealous.” The incubus huffs, his touch drawing closer to Raphael’s stomach. “It has been quite some time since a mortal got your loins in a twist, though. Seems more receptive than your other pet.” He flashes a brilliant smile while Raphael digs his nails into the palms of his own hands, giving a vicious growl — a warning. Haarlep merely scoffs in response but he does lower his head, gaze beginning to drift around the room. “If you’re going to have her over you should probably have one of your debtors clean up the place.”
“Bringing her here is not a part of my plan currently. Are you requesting something of me?” Raphael peers down at the other as he cocks a brow. Haarlep shrugs and stays quiet for a moment before giving a huff.
“I want to see what all this fuss is about.”
Raphael considers him, his mind quickly running through a few scenarios. Why should he share? But there it is, an opportunity underneath all the show: a deal to be made.
“Perhaps I could make some changes, but what would be in it for me?”
***
You feel a violent hand over your mouth and your eyes shoot open as a gasp rips from your throat. Once your vision settles, you’re met with those caramel eyes leering over you, Raphael’s teeth-bared and gaze sharp.
“Outside. Now.” There is venom in his voice unlike that you’ve heard from him before. He disappears in a spark of ash before you’re able to say anything — and then you realize he’s cast silence on you anyway. You feel an angry growl rumble through your chest but it’s swallowed up by the time it reaches your lips, in some ways a blessing since you don’t want to wake your companions. As you get out of bed, Astarion stirs in the one in front of you, making soft snores and every so often small whimpers? Do vampires have dreams? Your mind wanders as you put on your evening robe to fight the chill of the air. One last scan over your companions and you’re out the door, heading downstairs of the tavern and out to the alleyway.
Raphael is waiting for you, his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed. You hate that the first thing you think of is how radiant he looks in the pale moonlight. The dim light makes his brown eyes sparkle and the gold details on his doublet shine. Memories of the deal you made and what happened after flood your mind, replacing your annoyance with a familiar warmth in the pit of your stomach. You open your mouth but only air tumbles out, making you clench your fists in frustration.
“No, no. You don’t get to speak yet, little mouse.” He stalks closer to you, his movements slow and deliberate. “Rumors have made their way back to me that a certain hero has been fraternizing with an infernal being.” Raphael grits his teeth as he leans in, his eyes boring into yours. “You couldn’t wait to tell your little companions, could you?” There is anger in his voice but underneath it you swear there is a hint of teasing. He awaits your response but then gives a dramatic ah! before snapping his fingers.
“I didn’t tell them about our deal.” You’re finally able to snap back but your voice is hoarse from the silence. “Astarion noticed! He could smell you on me. Called me a freak — but not in a disgusted way, more like… he was impressed.” Too much information but the words spill out of you. Raphael’s face remains unchanged, his lips pressed into a straight line and his brows furrowed. “He’s bad at keeping secrets… but I wasn’t sure if you would care since you left me alone at Sharess’ Caress.”
He exhales slowly through his nose and his face seems to relax, his jaw shifting back into place and his eyes softening. One of his hands reaches for yours, which is balled into a fist at your side. His fingers graze your fist, lightly trying to loosen it before he takes your hand. Raphael’s eyes stay fixed on you, his lips starting to quirk into a barely there smile. You try to keep a straight face but his warm fingers laced with your own makes an infuriating blush rise to your cheeks.
“Did I hurt your feelings, pet?” His voice drops dangerously low as he brings the back of your hand to his lips. You roll your eyes, amazed by his nerve. Did he think he could bat his lashes and you’d be wrapped around his finger? “Mmm… forgive me, for that. Please. It’s been an eternity since someone has affected me this way.” He murmurs, averting your gaze as you swear you see a flash of embarrassment cross his face. Your breath catches in your throat at the sudden candor, having only seen it once before in him.
“You shouldn’t have left.” You remain firm but your voice is a hum, your eyes tracing over his features. “After everything we’ve been through, I thought I would have gotten special treatment.” You wriggle your hand free from his grasp as you give him a sly grin, not about to let him off the hook that easily. Raphael’shead tilts as he regards you silently for a moment, as if your playfulness caught him off guard. His lips tug into a smile and you catch his gaze fall to your mouth, then back up to meet your eyes.
“I promise I’ll make it up to you. As you know, I tend to keep my word.” He all but purrs, drifting in even closer to you.
“Well, I’d like to get it in writing.”
“You what?” Raphael’s charming facade immediately drops, scrunching his nose. You are delighted with the way he glared at you. “Let us discuss this later — we have more pressing matters. Your companions, I am certain they aren’t very supportive of you mingling with a devil such as myself.” He presses his hand to his chest, those caramel eyes sucking you in like they always do.
“I wouldn’t say that they are thrilled about it.” You sigh and break your eye contact. “But it doesn’t seem like a reason for them to leave, at least for now… if this is something that will continue.” He uses one of his long fingers to gently turn your head back to his gaze.
“I would rather that they didn’t know about us, sweetling.” Raphael sounds almost sweet as he seemingly takes in every detail of your face, his hand now cupping your cheek. “Them and the entirety of the Sword Coast, at least until the Elder Brain is defeated. We don’t want the general public to think our savior is taking orders from a devil, do we?” It’s something you haven’t thought about until now. You were never one to care for optics but he isn’t wrong. “I have an idea that will put your companion’s minds at ease and take some of the heat off of us.”
You’re hardly paying attention to what he’s saying because of how close he is. You could easily kiss him right now. What would he do? You decide to find out. The gravel crunches beneath your feet as you quickly push yourself onto your tippy toes to kiss him, nearly cutting him off. Raphael’s body freezes in surprise before his hand moves from your cheek to tangle with your hair, his tongue desperately pushing into your mouth. It’s like a switch went off in his brain. He’s grabbing you, tugging at your waist so your bodies are flush against each other.
You nearly fall into him as he takes a few steps back, your hands slipping to hold onto his shoulders. Tasting him again was almost just as overwhelming as the first time, the heat of his mouth making me crave him more and more, deepening the kiss. Raphael moves quickly, both his hands suddenly gripping your thighs to pull you down with him into a chair you’re sure didn’t exist a moment ago. He has you straddling his waist, strong hands making sure you stay in place. You finally manage to break away from the kiss to catch your breath, hazy eyes meeting his gaze.
“Go to the Devil’s Fee when you’re ready — my contact will grant you entrance to my House of Hope.” Raphael’s nose traces along your jaw, his lips brushing along your neck as he speaks. He teases at your neck with his teeth, inching lower and lower, while drifting his hands along your robe to grope your breast through the light fabric. Your arms wrap around his shoulders and you eliminate the remaining space between you, melting into his touch. Raphael sucks on your collarbone as he opens your robe even further, fingers toying with your nipples through your shirt before pulling it down and exposing your breasts. You’re dizzy from it all, lost in him and his expert touches and that velvet voice, lips parting to give a soft whine.
“The hammer will be in a safe in my boudoir — an easy heist for you and your companions.” His voice is ragged, breath heavy as his mouth moves down your chest to run his tongue along your sensitive flesh. Raphael dips his hands to cup your ass and guides you along his thigh. Even through the layers of fabric the friction is delicious, making your legs tremble more and more with each drag over his thigh. You forget that you’re outside where anyone could stumble by, moaning recklessly as his lips close around one of your nipples. He flicks his tongue against it, teeth nipping it only just enough to hurt before giving it a few rough sucks.
Your fingers move to dig into the hair at the base of his neck, tilting your head back while his mouth works over your breasts with feverish need. A growl rumbles up from his chest, feeling it against yours as you start to grind against him without his help. It all feels so reckless. Raphael’s composure is completely gone, groaning against your chest as his tongue teasing your other nipple. Your eyes fall shut and you snap your hips harshly into his thigh, chasing your release.
And as easily as he gave into you, he takes it all away.
Raphael grabs you by the chin and wrenches you down to look at him in the eyes. You’re shuddering in his grasp as his caramel gaze sharpens, fire in his eyes. The sudden shift in mood has your mind turned upside down and your body aching to be touched by him again.
“This part is extremely important, pet, so listen closely.” He snarls, digging his nails into your cheeks. “Do not assist Hope while you are a guest. Is that understood?” Raphael yanks you so that his lips are hovering directly over yours. You quiver at his closeness and you nod before even trying to understand what he is asking of you. All you know is that you want him now. There’s a spark in his eyes once you agree and he lets go of you gently, his hands dropping to cover you up before, leaning back in the chair with a smug look on his face. “Go on — take what you need.”
You snap your hips immediately, flinging your hands to grab for his shoulders again. Raphael can’t stop watching your face, the way your expression twists in pleasure with each thrust, the soft groans spilling from swollen lips, basking in how much you crave him. You stare into his eyes as you do as he says, taking what you need from him until it’s all too much. You give a choked sob, hip stuttering and fingers digging into his doublet as your orgasm rips through you. His arms swallow you in his embrace, pulling you tight against his chest to help guide you back down to Earth.
“I’ll amend your contract to reflect the changes discussed this evening.” Raphael purrs into your hair, lightly brushing his fingertips along your back. “I also have something for you – perfume that should mask my scent even from those with heightened senses of smell.” You lift your head up. A present? For you? Strangely sweet for a devil, even if it was to help with sneaking around.
“You’ll also add your promise to the amendment, right?” You ask sweetly, the picture of innocence. He dramatically rolls his eyes.
“If you insist.”

Public love
Prompt (I accidentally deleted the ask sorry): could you do a short story about Paige accepting an award and telling everyone that Azzi and her are dating?
a/n: guys I'm trying to finish all my recent asks in my inbox I swear. Life's been lifin' all of the sudden and I barely have time to write so apologies for that. Got a lot of drafts that I'm working on rn.
Warning: Paige is a yapper. Some spelling mistakes (hopefully not). A bit rushed tbh
“You look hilarious,” Azzi giggled, staring at her phone screen where their FaceTime call was running.
“Thanks, Azzi,” Paige deadpanned, trying to swallow the lump in her throat. She wiped her palms on her pants, only for Brittany to swat her hands away, scolding her.
Azzi's smile softened as Paige protested, her eyebrows furrowing. “You know you don't have to do this, right?”
“Don't start with that, Azzi,” Paige's exasperated tone didn't go unnoticed as she wiped her hands on a nearby towel. “We agreed that today was the day.”
Azzi threw her hands up in defeat, her smile unwavering. “I'm just saying.”
Paige had underestimated how bad her nerves would flare up at the idea of stepping onto a stage full of legends, with cameras recording her every move, to profess her love for her girlfriend to the whole entire world to see. It had been a tough conversation, but Azzi had convinced Paige to wait until the season was over, when they were no longer teammates.
“I'll do it, just you watch.” Suddenly, the normal confidence Paige always had resurfaced as a smug look settled on her face.
Azzi could still see through the facade.
“Hey, you know it's already on in the living room,” Azzi said, flipping the camera to show the TV. It showed the red carpet, which was almost over, and Paige's panic returned.
“Gosh, I just wish you were here.” Paige set her phone in front of her, properly showing her whole upper body to Azzi. She looked stunning. The blonde hunched over, taking a deep breath. “It would be easier.”
“You know I would be there if I could, babe. Something came up.” For a moment, there was complete silence, except for the rustling of Azzi dropping onto her sofa. “Plus, I won't have like… a million cameras shoved in my face. Which is nice.”
“Yeah, you're right.”
“Alright, you two, we gotta wrap it up. Paige, you're up in a few.” Brittany's voice startled the blood out of Paige's face as she flinched.
Azzi giggled. “I'll get going. And Paige… just do what feels right when you get up there, okay?”
“Yeah. I'll try.” She cleared her throat. “I love you.”
“Love you too, Paige.”
______
Paige was totally not ready for it. As the awards passed one by one, she found it increasingly harder to stay still in her seat.
“Bro, do you have ants on your ass or something?” Aubrey chuckled, whispering towards Paige.
“Something like that.” Paige adjusted her suit, applying pressure to her chest. She felt like she was going to throw up.
“Seriously, you good?” From her other side, Ice whispered, her expression a bit more worried than Aubrey's. Even with the makeup, Paige looked pale as a ghost.
“I'm good.”
Aubrey and Ice exchanged questioning looks as Paige didn't even bother to glance at them, her eyes glued to the presenters.
The lump in her throat grew until it was hard to swallow. She tensed when her phone buzzed in her pants.
From: Azzi
You look nervous, babe. [Attached image]
Paige opened the image, seeing a picture of her on the tv screen, jaw clenched and eyes wide.
From: Paige
I look crazy.
From: Azzi
You don't have to do this, Paige.
From: Paige
I want to, Azzi.
Do you not want me to?
From: Azzi
Of course I do.
From: Paige
That's all the I need to hear then.
From: Azzi
I just don't want you to feel stressed or obligated.
Especially in front of such an important stage and audience.
From: Paige
Then it's decided.
“Hey!” CD whispered from behind her. “Put your phone away, missy. This isn't the place for texting.”
“Sorry CD.” Paige rubs the back of her neck, feeling a bit embarrassed to have been called out at such an age. She put her phone away and heard the next award being announced.
Best female college athlete.
Paige straightens up, silently thanking CD from snapping her out of her little daydream. They went through the nominees, teasing the winner before finally announcing the long-awaited name.
Paige Bueckers from the University of Connecticut.
The crowd burst into cheers as Paige let out a huff of air and made her way through the row after a few hugs from her teammates.
She shuffled through the rows and climbed to the stage, where she was met with a few hugs and finally her trophy.
“Wow.” She huffs, looking around the venue, “I would like to start by saying that it's an honor to be able to receive this amazing award for a second time. I can't express just how much it means to stand here after all the hardships thrown my way.”
Speaking to such an intimidating crowd, knowing there were thousands watching from their homes, never got easier for Paige.
“Second, I'd like to thank my family. Thank you for sticking by my side and being my anchor through everything. Without them, I wouldn't be standing here today. And to my teammates, who have been my rock. They were a force to be reckoned with all season, and it was thanks to them that we brought home a championship.”
The crowd hung on her every word.
“It's no secret the injuries that have plagued our team these past seasons and even me a few years ago. It felt liberating knowing that if I ever fell, they would be there to pick me up and I don't think I could ever express how much I love those girls and just how much they mean to me”
Paige thought of Azzi at home, watching her, and the basketball legends before her. She traced the lines of the trophy, clearing her throat.
“To my coaches, who weren't afraid to show me tough love, I appreciate you all. It made my time at Connecticut all the more enjoyable. To Geno, who didn't shy away from telling me how to be the best and how to make those around me be better. I’m glad that I'll be able to call Uconn my home for as long as I live because it's an honor. Whether it sounds odd, I thank God that I tore my ACL while surrounded by such an amazing family because I wouldn't have been able to bounce back in such a dominant manner."
It was now or never.
“One of the main reasons I'm eternally grateful for this program is because I was able to build a deeper relationship with a teammate who you all may know very well,” Paige shifts her hands, feeling them sweat again. “We went through the same injury, and everything was easier to navigate with her around because we just got each other and knew what we were going through. I want to thank her for her love and unconditional support because she deserves that and more. She picked me up when it felt impossible."
She chuckled. Paige had been on big stages many times, but this felt different. The ground beneath her feet seemed to shift as the blood rushed to her ears, muffling the sounds around her. Her surroundings faded as she locked eyes with the big camera before her.
“That's why... I would like to thank my amazing girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, in front of everyone here today because she deserves the world.” Paige hears the muffled sound of gasps and cheers. “So, because I know she's home watching, I love you, baby. None of this would be possible without you.”
Paige took a deep breath, feeling a crushing weight lift off her chest. It was done.
She smiled for the first time that night and looked away from the camera, addressing the crowd. “Thank you for this award. I'll cut my speech short since I know it's running a bit long.” Laughter spread through the crowd, but most looked shocked, especially her teammates. She lifted her trophy with a smile, realizing how little she cared about anyone's opinion. “Thank you.”
______
“Didn't think you had it in you,” Caroline said, opening the door to Paige's makeup room. “Seriously, dude. Getting up there and just saying, 'oh, and I'm dating my bestie by the way' is crazy”
Paige deflated in her chair. After her speech, she had been ushered away for pictures and questions and hadn't heard from her teammates. She hadn't even checked her phone which was undoubtedly flooded with missed calls and messages.
“I wanted to throw up.”
Then, as if on cue, Aubrey, Ice, and KK entered together. “Dude, what the fuck was that?” KK screamed, laughing together with Ice. “Huge balls you got there, dude.”
“Oh, shut up, KK. Like you aren't head over heels over your girl too.” Paige shot back, eyebrows furrowing as she checked her phone. KK and Ice burst out laughing, dragging Aubrey to sit on the couch.
“It's on Do Not Disturb, Paige.” Sensing the urgency, Caroline put a hand on her shoulder, pointing at the unmistakable symbol of DND.
“Thanks.” Paige mumbled, turning it off and feeling relieved as messages flooded in. Hundreds of notifications took over her phone, but she only cared about one.
“Dude, you're already trending on Twitter.” Aubrey showed her screen, Twitter opened, but Paige didn't bother looking.
“Oh, and the articles are already popping up,” Ice added.
Finally, after some searching, Paige found Azzi's message.
From: Azzi
Such a sweet talker.
I love you too Paige
From: Paige
You liked it?
I tried to keep it short but I think that was too little or maybe too much??
I definitely could've added more to it.
What did you think?
Paige stared at the messages, nervous to hear from Azzi.
From: Azzi
Hey, I loved it Paige.
You can always finish it when you get home to me
That validation calmed Paige almost immediately. Nothing seemed to matter anymore.
From: Paige
Wanna call? I could tell you everything now.
From: Azzi
Yeah… if I'm correct, CD is about to burst through that door any second.
Either that or every reporter that was in that building wants to hear from you after that declaration of love in front of the whole world.
Let's wait until you get to the hotel, okay?
Right on cue, the rest of the team entered her room.
From: Paige
Good idea.
Love you
From: Azzi
Love you too

Tumblr media
You were the daughter of a rich man, no clue what he did for work or how you had ended up living in the biggest mansion in all of the Outer Banks. But you didn't need to care. Your dad's money took care of everything for you, the only thing you had to do in return was to stay out of trouble, get good grades, and be sweet and polite. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The spark that would cause your fall was small, tiny, not even noticeable to the common eye, but to you, it was like a flare gun. An explosion that turned your life upside down.
A single smile and nod.
That was all he had given you on that sunny day while you were out, shopping with your best friends. And you had blushed, giving him a soft smile before he had turned back around and kept walking. But you couldn't look away. The way the flannel shirt was stretched over his back and the slacks tight around his ass. It wasn't your fault that he looked so good.
The next time you saw him was at a bar, you were nipping on your iced tea. Your family was sitting at a table, talking to someone because of something business related. But your eyes were fixed on him and when he saw you look, he smiled into himself and downed his drink.
However, he wasn't the only one who had noticed it because your dad cleared his throat and told you to stop gawking. So you did. You never disobeyed your father.
The third time you saw him was at the beach, at a party to be exact. Your friends had managed to get you out of the house, promising your parents to look out for you. What your parents didn't know, and should never find out, was that you were already on your third mai tai; dancing like crazy and singing way too loud to the music that played over some speakers.
You were too drunk to notice him staring at you, but your friends weren't. They kept giggling and whispering to each other while you stayed clueless.
And when he strolled over to you, placing himself behind you and holding onto your hips as you danced, they started squeaking, but did their best to contain themselves.
Yet the moment was over as quickly as it started because you felt yourself get sick and ran off into the woods to throw up.
On the way home, your friends couldn't stop gushing about how he had looked at you, how his hands had run over your body. But you couldn't remember any of it, not how it felt, not a thing he had told you, especially not his name.
“Who?” you asked, head dizzy and guts about to turn inside out a second time that night.
“Rafe, babe. Rafe Cameron danced with you!” your best friend yelled from the driver's seat and immediately stopped at the side of the road so you could throw up again.
The next day was probably the worst you'd ever felt. A massive headache and no appetite, because you still felt nauseous, and the sun was way too bright even with sunglasses on.
“Sweetie, are you okay?” your mom asked at brunch. Your usual fruit plate was left untouched, and she was a bit concerned about it.
“Yeah, just tired,” you lied and forced a strawberry down.
“You always stay up too late when you go out with Cassie and Jessica,” she rebuked.
“It's not their fault, mom. I wanted to watch a movie that was much longer than I anticipated.” Lying came naturally to you, and it wasn't like you had done something bad. Partying and getting drunk wasn't the worst thing you could do, and no one would find out anyway.
“Well, next time, you should look that up beforehand,” she smiled at you and you nodded.
You spent the rest of the day sunbathing at your pool, and when you thought about the night before, your headache just got worse, so you decided to let it go completely.
The fourth time you met him was at a charity golf game. You weren't good at golf, but not the worst also. However, you truly hadn't intended to hit the ball so badly that it landed in the wrong direction, right next to him.
“You keep going, I'll catch up,” you told your brother and walked towards where your ball had landed.
“I could give you golf lessons. You're quite shit,” Rafe laughed as you walked up to him, your ponytail swinging in sync with your hips.
“I know you. You keep looking at me from afar,” you noted, holding onto your golf club.
“You're a real lightweight. Can't remember anything from that party, can you?” he laughed.
“Oh, did I talk to you there? I'm sorry,” you apologized and looked down at your feet, too embarrassed to actually look at him again.
“It's okay, was kinda wasted too,” he admitted before holding out his hand, and you took it, letting him shake it. “I'm Rafe.”
“Y/n,” you smiled at him.
“Pretty name,” he smiled, and you blushed, feeling a small fluttering in your guts. “So, y/n, you sure you don't need golf lessons?”
That's how it began, innocent golf lessons. First it was once a week, then twice, then every other day.
Rafe flirted with you like no one ever had, not even your previous boyfriends had been as charming as him. He made you feel wanted, and hot, and all you ever had to do was look pretty and lie to your parents.
“You know they wouldn't understand it, so why tell them, pretty girl,” he mused while holding you close. And when you nodded, he kissed you. Soft and demanding at the same time. Rafe was a true gentleman to you, never crossing any of your set boundaries.
Your friends were on board, covering for you when you had a date with him. Even more so when he asked you to stay overnight for the first time.
“We don't have to do anything you don't want to. I don't want to pressure you, princess,” he whispered and kept kissing your neck, soft moans falling from your lips. You turned and straddled him in his seat on the big couch. Lips engulfed by his in a heated kiss that made your head dizzy. Your hands were in his hair, while his groped at your ass.
“God, you're so gorgeous,” Rafe sighed, his eyes raking over you in your tiny summer dress.
“Thank you,” you felt your cheeks go crimson. It was still a mystery to you that a guy like him wanted to be with a girl like you.
You kept on kissing him, slowly unbuttoning his shirt and pushing the silky fabric down his shoulders. Rafe smiled into another kiss while taking his shirt off and holding onto your hips as you rolled them into him, finding pleasure in the way his jeans cover hard on was pressing against your wet cunt.
“Want me to take’m off?” Rafe asked, and you bit your lip while nodding. Maybe it was a bit fast, but you hadn't had proper sex in too long, and he was so good to you all the time.
While Rafe took off his pants, including his boxers, you pulled your slip down and grabbed a condom from your bag.
“You came prepared?” he chuckled and pulled you back in, chest to chest, feeling his impressive length pressed against your stomach as he kissed you. It felt like you were burning with desire and lust, hot and electrifying.
“Will you lie down for me?” you whispered, giving him the best puppy eyes you had in you, not knowing that it wouldn't even have taken all that for him to do it.
Rafe placed himself on the couch, his back against the armrest and a boyish smile on his lips. “You still got your dress on, baby.”
“I know,” you smiled while straddling his legs. As soon as you started stroking his dick, his head fell back, and he let out a choked moan.
“Fuck, baby,” he dragged the words out as you gently and very carefully rolled the condom down his shaft.
His outburst made you giggle, “I haven't even started yet, handsome.” Lifting your hips, you hovered over him; watching him bite his lip and letting his hands run up your thighs to your hips. Hi grip growing harsher when the tip of his dick ran through your folds.
It was like an explosion of a million butterflies in your guts as you sank down on him. You welcomed the stinging stretch of him, even though it made you whimper quietly.
“You know how to do this?” Rafe asked softly and you nodded.
“I know a few things,” you started to slowly roll your hips, “not too many.”
“Fucking gorgeous,” he exhaled and helped you move your hips faster over time.
You were both moaning and panting when he sat up to kiss you, holding you tighter than ever and thrusting into you from below. It was an impossible pace, making you squeeze him tighter than he had expected.
“Tell me you're close, baby,” Rafe panted in your ear.
“So close- Just like that-” you managed to whimper in between choked moans and the squeaking of the couch. His pubes were ticking your clit when he leaned down to kiss your neck.
“Cum for me, baby,” he moaned and sucked a hickey into your skin.
His throbbing tip was poking at your cervix just enough for it to be pleasant, but his words were what sent you over the edge. Kissing him hastily while clamping down hard around him. You could feel him tense underneath you, labored breath and sloppy thrusts that told you he was close.
Rafe moaned your name as he came undone for you, kissing you one last time before pulling you off him.
“Next time, that dress comes off,” he panted and made his way to the bathroom. The wide smile you had on your face would stay there for the rest of the night, while cuddling into him as you watched a movie, and it didn't even falter as you fell asleep. To you, this was what falling in love was all about.

Hey just had a thought what if all the old Predacon buddy accidentally stumbles upon a relic that reverts them back to their younger body somewhere between when they were still a gladiator like they are mentally and physically reverted back into their younger form and younger predacon buddy is like more cold and distant but is still nice to the younger bots and Optimus
Young Predacon Buddy is not happy with this sudden change.
Especially with the buff Orin Pax they found.
Hope you enjoy!
Bot Buddy the Old Predacon turning back to his prime youth with Wheeljack, Smokescreen, Bulkhead, Ratchet, and Optimus Prime
SFW, Platonic, Cybertronain reader
TFP
The team had recently acquired a new relic from the latest find.
Buddy had stayed in the base with Ratchet and the kids to try and decode the item.
When the team arrived, they placed the relic in one of the med slabs to be scanned later.
Buddy was finishing the decoding when the relic started powering up and had a bad feeling about it glowing.
Glowing things and Buddy didn’t exactly mix well.
A sudden beam came out of the relic and started bouncing around the base.
Everyone ran for cover.
The beam headed straight for Optimus.
Buddy ran and threw themselves at him covering the mech with their beast mode and large wings.
A sudden bright light flashed before dying down.
Buddy and Prime were okay.
But the closer the bots looked at Buddy they realized something was off.
Either that beam polished them and gave them a frame upgrade.
Or…
Something wrong happened.
The Predacon groaned as they got off the Prime shaking their helm.
They stood up straighter than they had ever seen Buddy go normally.
And they stretched their massive wings farther than they had seen before.
Buddy goggling opened and blinked their optics.
Their entire paintjob was new yet scratched.
They also had more decorative markings and more armor plating.
Buddy finally looked around and hissed.
Their plating flared up a bit making themselves look bigger.
More threatening.
They demanded to know where they were before they slit everyone’s throats.
Something was terribly wrong.
Optimus took this moment to call Buddy.
Buddy turned annoyed but it turned to shock and surprised.
They called him Orion.
Oh no…
After a bit of explaining and finally decoding the purpose of the relic.
The relic had the ability of returning a bot to a point in their youth along with all their memories from that point in time.
That meant Buddy was only familiar with Optimus and Ratchet.
Everyone else was a stranger to them.
Wheeljack
Buddy gets annoyed at all the asks to spar by many of these ‘Wreckers’.
Especially from the white one, Wheeljack.
A very persistent fellow.
When Buddy finally gave into the challenge, it was over in a couple of seconds. Usually this would have taken 5 minutes tops for Wheeljack with older Buddy.
This strength was scary.
Too quick…
Too brutal…
Too much of everything.
Buddy may have gone a bit too far with some more denting than what they would usually do.
And they weren’t even using most of their strength, and Wheeljack knew that.
Even now at the prime of their youth, they were still holding back.
“Hey Buddy, you wanna spar?”-Wheeljack
“And why would I want to spar with you? Do you not value your own life Wecker? I’d rather not give Ratchet more work in the med bay.”—Buddy
Buddy goes to walk away.
“It’s only sparring, or are you too afraid of the challenge?”--Wheeljack
Buddy stops and slowly looks back at Wheeljack with cold and calculated optics.
“Challenge accepted Wrecker…”--Buddy
Tumblr media
Smokescreen
Buddy is softer with the younger members of the team.
Even when they found out about humans, they were soft on them too.
Smokescreen, still being one of the younger bots, got this treatment too.
Buddy did mention before that they had a habit of ‘taking bots under their wing.’
He didn’t think they meant it literally.
Buddy was a bit rougher than usual, but they still cared and looked out for him.
When Smokescreen asked to spar, Buddy hesitated to ask if that was what he really wanted.
Smokescreen said yes.
5 seconds…
5 seconds was what it took to bring him done.
A minute with the phase shifter on.
Buddy constantly gives him tips on footing and arm placement, but he doesn’t really take that into account while his helm is still spinning from the tail whip.
“Hi I’m Smokescreen.”--Smokescreen
Buddy looks at the bot.
Buddy takes their wing over him.
“Mine now.”--Buddy
“What?”--Smokescreen
“Mine.”--Buddy
Tumblr media
Bulkhead
Buddy liked Bulkhead.
He was an almost adequate sparring partner.
He could take much more damage than some of the other bots here.
Bulkhead didn’t want to fight Buddy though.
Bulkhead had been the one to cause some heavy dents in Buddy before.
But that was the older, more patient Buddy.
Now he was talking to the les patient, younger Buddy.
Which gave Buddy the wrong message.
They thought that he didn’t want to spar them because they were a predacon.
An animal.
A monster.
Something not worthy of his time.
Buddy defiantly made sure the two of them sparred even adding more denting from their frustrations.
But not too much
They didn’t want to upset Ratchet or Optimus.
“Have you come to spar with me like your friend in the med bay?”--Buddy
“Nah, I don’t wanna hurt you, Buddy.”—Bulkhead
“I almost guarantee you won’t Wrecker.”--Buddy
“Yeah, but I hurt you last time—"--Bulkhead
Buddy clamps their jaw on Bulkhead’s arm and throws him on the far side of the room.
“You calling me weak!? I’LL SHOW YOU WEAK!”--Buddy
Tumblr media
Ratchet
It was between Ratchet and Optimus to explain to Buddy what was happening.
They only trusted being around the two.
Both knew it would take a while for Buddy to warm up.
Buddy often dropped off team members who thought it was a good idea to spar with this much younger predacon.
Or the ones who pissed Buddy off.
Buddy does look after Ratchet.
More worried about how many years the bot put on.
Nearing the same age as each other, Buddy worried for their friend’s health often asking him to take naps while they kept watch.
Surprisingly this worked many times while Buddy was in the med bay.
Buddy would always stand guard over their resting friend, growling at anything that would disturb his sleep.
Mainly because Ratchet didn’t want to be physically subdued by a younger Predacon that could take him out in seconds.
“Ratchet.”--Buddy
“Buddy.”--Ratchet
“Have you been sleeping well?”--Buddy
“Why?”--Ratchet
“You look closer to my age than a few cycles ago.”--Ratchet
“I’m old Buddy.”--Ratchet
“Not as old as me.”--Buddy
Tumblr media
Optimus Prime
Buddy was extremely surprised to see Optimus and Ratchet the way they are now.
Ratchet for the number of years he took on.
Optimus… well that was self-explanatory.
From small Orion pax to big Optimus Prime there were quite a few changes.
It did warm his spark seeing Buddy so worried for their friends looking like they went a joined the pits.
Buddy for the first few days was Optimus and Ratchet’s shadow.
They constantly watched over the two like a hawk.
Even going as far as growing when one of the team memebers came to close to one of them.
Buddy insisted on sparring with Optimus
With this new form of him, he had a painted target on his back and Buddy was not going to let him go anywhere where he could get hurt.
Bigger framed or not, Buddy has taken down bots far bigger and stronger than him. He needs to get ready.
Optimus had the best time out of the entire team.
Mainly because Buddy focused on training Prime than getting the match over with.
“Orion?! Orion!”--Buddy
Buddy wraps their wings around the much larger Prime before taking a good look at him.
“What is all this? Are you planning on competing in the pits? When did you get so big? You were so small, why, you’re as tall as I am!”--Buddy
“There’s much that needs to be explained old friend.”--Optimus
“You, even sound old. Did Megatronus put you up to this? I swear that mech…”--Buddy
Buddy looks at Ratchet and nearly drops.
“Ratchet?!”--Buddy
Buddy goes up to him with a worried look.
“What happened?! You look almost as old as me? We just saw each other over two cycles ago? WHAT’S HAPPENING?!”--Buddy

The lights go out (Diluc)
The moment Diluc appeared in your life did not portend anything bad. A respectable gentleman with a rich history and a business of creating high-quality wine. As a man, he was quite gallant. It seemed that the red hair could flare up like his eyes. Always neat clothes, even in the role of a bartender, looked gorgeous, hugging a muscular body. His calm character gave his appearance a bit of mystery. In general, any lady will lose her head for such an enviable bachelor.
What else can I say about someone who treats your drunken nonsense with understanding and calmness. Which made you feel ashamed afterwards. As an apology, you could only cook some kind of dish. With your modest budget, you won't be able to keep up with gifts. Especially for a man who has everything. There was still some way to survive until the next paycheck. Diluc politely refused, but your persistence did not give him a chance. The guy was embarrassed, but also grateful. It was not uncommon for him to skip lunch because of his busy schedule.
Over time, a good friend of the bartender turned into a good friend. Your conversations have become more open. Sometimes you were invited for a little walk. Which is surprising, considering his busy schedule, but how can you refuse your friend? Recently, parcels without the sender's name began to be delivered to your doorstep. They contained small gifts. Your neighbor, when she saw another box in your hands, sighed languidly. "It looks like our t/i has a secret admirer. How romantic!"
You were awkwardly scratching your head, knowing who the sender might be. Your friend only apologized for not giving his name to this suspicion, since he has many enemies. And that could be a problem. He didn't hear you at all awkwardly mention that it was too much and too expensive to give something in return.
You liked Diluc, I don't look at his slight detachment. It seemed that the man was carrying more weight on his shoulders than could be seen from the outside. It didn't interfere with your friendship in any way. All people have secrets. There is no person who would not hide skeletons in the closet.
It seemed like your relationship was more like a couple in love than friendship. But the thoughts in your head kept nagging at you, because you didn't match his status in any way. An ordinary person with ordinary problems….Jean could be suitable for this role. She not only occupies a high position, but is also strong, intelligent, and also perfectly beautiful. It is rumored that she and Diluc often played together as children. An ideal candidate for the role of his wife…
Such thoughts could drive you crazy, but reality is completely different from fairy tales. Every relationship can end before it even starts. And feeling that my heart involuntarily begins to flutter at the sight of a red-haired man. You decided to stop it before the feelings tore your heart into small pieces.
Lately, Diluc has stopped observing your presence. It seemed like forever since you greeted him with a bright smile after working days. The man wondered if he had done something wrong the last time you met. You were just acting weird. No, rather detached. He decided to find out about it face to face. His concern for you has become almost the norm in everyday life.
Unfortunately, the weather foreshadowed a thunderstorm. Huge black clouds covered the sky like a blanket. Diluc already wanted to go home until he met the little owner of a small flower shop. You were just working for her. What was his surprise when Flora told him that you went in search of wind asters in the direction of the Valley of the Winds. Your absence meant that you hadn't returned yet.
I hope she will come back soon or she can hide somewhere. It's going to rain heavily. No matter how it gets to the storm. Even the flowers have closed their buds.
The girl left Diluc in a hurry, completely not noticing his dumbfounded face. The body did not move arbitrarily in the right direction. There was only one thought in my head: "You're in danger." He wanted to scream, knock down the first tree he saw, or hit someone. He couldn't stop. Fear has already clearly painted every case of your death. Now his visions could become reality.
Damn it. The first drops were felt on the skin. There were more of them with every step. A few minutes later, a clap of thunder hit my ears. It's bad. You're afraid of a thunderstorm. It was only by a miracle that through the haze he could see the overturned basket on the ground. Asters are scattered around. After walking a little further, he found a small depression between the stones. Your body was huddled there. Like a squirrel in a hollow tree. At that moment, a sigh of relief escaped from Diluc. You're alive.
You couldn't figure out how you got home. I remembered how Flora had talked about the lack of asters. You decided to go in search of them in order to somehow distract yourself from thoughts of Diluc. A thunderstorm came by the way, and it seems that you even found a place to hide and maybe fell asleep. But there are no memories left in my head of how you came home. Although it doesn't look like your house.
Are you finally awake?
That voice made you jump. The man you were trying to avoid was sitting on a chair next to the bed. Fatigue and lack of sleep were clearly visible on his face.
Diluc…
The guy sighed heavily, hiding his eyes in his palm. "I almost lost my mind while I was looking for you. Plus you were down with a fever for four days and I panicked even more when I couldn't wake you up. Why did you even go to the devil knows where before the storm?"
It's just that Flora needed flowers to sell, so I decided…
What the hell kind of flowers?!
It was not a scream, but the roar of a desperate beast. He literally made your body freeze. Diluc has never been so scary before. He was scared of his own voice when he noticed the fear in your eyes.
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you…. but the fact remains. You put yourself in danger. Is it worth risking your life for such pennies? How can I leave you if you can't even take care of yourself?
He scolded you like a strict parent for a little, wayward daughter. But he wasn't your parent. This is a person you may love, which makes you blush even more on an already red face.
I'm sorry…- that's all you could say.
It seemed like an eternity had passed when the heavy wooden chair creaked. Diluc stood up, heading for the door. You couldn't leave it like that again. Maybe this will be the only chance to confess to him.
Diluc….
From today on, thisplace is your new home. He said it without even turning around, causing your body to freeze on the spot. Diluc went out, letting the light from the corridor into the room. You managed to make out his serious face and completely extinguished eyes. "I'm sorry, but it's for your own good..
And the door closed, taking away the last bits of light. At that moment, my heart sank…

Could I request something from the kisses before dinner universe (if you’re taking requests that is!) just es to see the girls trying to do something nice for their parents. Or reader has the girls help her do something nice for Steve since he does so much for them (or vice versa bc mom does so much for them too)
thank you for your request! hope this is okay!! dad!steve x mom!reader, 4.5k
Avery pulls her hat over her ears and grits her teeth, eyes scrunching closed. All the new baby does is cry, cry, and cry.
"She's loud," Bethie says.
"So loud," Avery say.
Seconds after, Dove starts to cry, like a bomb being dropped, or a siren call. She wails and wails. The sounds are endless. Avery's hat won't block them out. She throws it across the room, agitated.
"Stevie," Avery hears you say softly, super tired, "sorry, honey, you don't know where Dove's buppy is?"
"No idea."
Avery looks toward her socked feet at the end of the bed, where Dove's baby bottle lays dirty against the rumpled blankets. She grabs it quickly and slides out of bed, careful not to bash into Bethie where they'd been lying down together. Avery just got a brand new TV in her bedroom for her birthday, which means they can be 'lazy excuses for girls' if her dad is to be believed. Avery knows lazy is a bad word, but Steve says it like it's funny. She always laughs.
"Mom," Avery says, running into Dove's room.
"What, baby?" you ask absentmindedly, a crying Dove on your hip, hands yanking aside her blankets in search.
"I have her buppy."
You turn, smiling, grateful and bubbly as you accept the bottle and ruffle her hair. "My life saver! Thank you. Did your movie finish? I'll come and change the tape."
"Not yet."
"Okay. Tell me when it does, angel, I’ll come and do it straight away." You lean down. "Don't bother daddy, okay? Just come and ask me if you need something."
"Can I have some juice?" she asks.
"Yes, you can have some juice. Can you be patient? I have to make Dove a bottle. Five minutes?" you ask.
Avery nods without a frown. She really wants juice, but she wants Dove to stop crying more. You give Avery's cheek a little squeeze and leave for downstairs, taking the steps very, very slowly. "It's okay, Dovey," you mumble. "It's okay. I know, you're tired, I'm tired too."
Avery doesn't want to see the baby —she loves the baby, you and Steve love the baby, everyone loves the baby— 'cos she's ridiculously loud, and Avery needs her ears to work or she'll never be a famous violinist, and then what will she do with her life? She only just started music classes. But Avery misses her dad desperately, having seen him for a ten minute period when he picked her up from school and not a second longer.
She creeps into the big bedroom. It's a disaster. Steve is sitting in bed with the baby in his arms, rocking her back and forth, hand patting her butt and lower spine steadily. He's shushing with every pat, eyes closed. He looks like he has an unhappy tummy.
"Daddy?" she whispers.
His hand flies to his mouth, finger over his lips in the universal sign for Please, be quiet.
"Are you okay?" she whispers.
He nods vehemently, finger still over his lip. Avery remembers your recent ask too late —Don't bother daddy. Her eyes flare wide and she tiptoes back to her room, flopping onto the sheets next to Bethie with a defeated sigh.
"It's hopeless," she dramatises.
"It's not hopeless, it's just bedtime," Bethie says, much more talkative when it's her and Avery alone. Her pronunciation isn't the best, she's nearly two years younger than Avery, but it's more than passable. "Don't worry, Ave."
Avery drags her face up from the sheets and pouts at her younger sister. "Mom and dad are both busy and we'll never get ants on a log."
Bethie tips her head to one side. "Baby's sleeping now."
"But dad wouldn't speak to me!"
"Heather's sensi‐stive."
Heather isn't the baby's name, officially, but it's the one Bethie likes most. Avery liked Tiffany, but no one else liked Tiffany, which was dumb. Tiffany is the best name ever. Way better than Heather.
"Tiffany," she says pointedly, "isn't sensitive, she's just new." Or, that's what Steve says. "We didn't vacuum enough when she came home so now she's not used to big sounds."
"I'm not used to big sounds," Bethie sighs, curling in on herself. Avery does as she's seen Steve do when Bethie sulks, draping herself over Bethie and hugging her gently. She kisses Bethie's hair. Bethie grumbles, "Avery."
"What?" Avery asks, rolling off of her.
Bethie doesn't answer. Avery sits there thinking, and after a while it's clear you're too busy to bring the juice upstairs.
"Maybe we should try helping."
Bethie lifts her head off of the pillow. She looks much more like you than the rest of her sisters, same hair, same eyes, same pretty smile. Avery looks the spitting image of her dad in comparison, pretty and in a different way. "What can we do?" Bethie asks. "We're only little."
"No, dad says we're only little, but mommy says I'm a big girl, like, all of the time. And so does Grandpa."
"Grandpa says we're too loud."
"Dad says grandpa's… uhm, senior. It means crazy," Avery says.
"So we should be little?" Bethie asks.
"No!" Avery says, annoyed.
She jumps off of the bed and grabs Bethie's hands, encouraging her sister onto her feet. Together, they cross the landing to peer into the master bedroom, where Steve is still swaying the baby in his arms, his rumpled t-shirt stained with spit up and milk. They're practised at sneaking and Steve is too distracted to see them, whispering soft things into the top of the baby's head.
Avery is a bit jealous, but she has a plan.
"I don't think we should do that," Bethie says.
Avery's dragged her into the bathroom. It's hard to get inside because of the child lock, but luckily Avery is more than adept. Her dad says she can't ever, never show Bethie or Dove how to do them, the same way she can't show Dove how to unlock the gates at the top and bottom of the stairs yet. She made Bethie close her eyes on the way in.
"Don't worry, Beth, I've seen daddy do it millions of times already," Avery says confidently.
They've opened the washing machine and shoved all of Steve's dirty clothes inside. He won't have to do them before bed tonight, and that means more time for snuggles. Avery climbed up onto the side of the machine using a precariously stacked contraption of potties and an upside down laundry basket, and now she's eyeballing how much detergent needs to go in.
"This is heavy," Bethie complains, her arms shaking from the weight of the Tide liquid.
Avery really wasn't supposed to show her how to open that cabinet, but she felt it necessary. Bethie won't eat the detergent, anyways, Bethie barely likes eating normal food. Avery pulls the detergent up, having finally decided that they need more. She lets a thick splash of green drizzle down onto the clothes, nodding approvingly, and screws the lid back on.
She drops the detergent down and a rogue towel muffles the thump, sliding off of the machine and closing the lid.
You appear looking urgent in the doorway.
"Hey, what have I said about the bathroom? You can't use this one when no one is with you, okay? Do you know what I'm saying?"
"Sorry, mommy," Bethie says tearfully.
You soften. "It's for you to be safe, baby." Your softness doesn't quite extend to Avery, though it doesn't fully disappear either. She's most in trouble. "Ave, you know the rules. You can come in here, but you're not supposed to bring the girls with you. I'm not happy with you."
"Mom, I'm sorry," Avery says, not taking it quite as hard as Beth, "but Bethie needed to pee super badly, we couldn't make it downstairs."
You buy her lie. "Okay. Okay, but not again. Promise? I just don't want you girls getting into something you shouldn't."
"Promise," Avery says.
You smile down at them both before looking over their heads. "Daddy must've forgot to turn on the machine. Press start for me, Ave. Big green button."
Avery clicks the big green button on the washing machine smugly. They already helped.
You lead them out of the bathroom and back into Avery's room, where cups of juice and an exorbitant amount of snacks wait on the nightstand. They sit on the floor while you make Avery's bed, a plate of ants on logs between their knees.
"Dove's sleeping downstairs on the beanbag," you say. The baby monitor in your pyjama pocket doesn't make a peep. "So if you do need to pee, please be quiet. And up here, too, I think daddy finally got the baby to sleep as well."
"Is it bedtime?" Bethie asks.
You fold back the corner of Avery's comforter. With a sigh, you sit at the top of her freshly made bed and hold out your arms. "No, it's snuggle time. Come and keep me company."
Bethie rockets into your arms. Avery doesn't rush, focused on eating as many logs as she can, washing it down with a huge swig of strawberry and raspberry juice. You hoist Bethie over one thigh and hold her to your stomach, groaning, "Oh, there she is, there's my girl. Daddy said you didn't eat any of your dinner when you got home, do you wanna tell me why? I won't tell anyone else."
"I just wasn't hungry."
"Really? Did you have a big lunch?"
"No…" Bethie rubs her face against your neck. "Daddy wasn't happy because I didn't eat any lunch."
"Oh, sweetheart," you say, "daddy worries about you. You don't have an appetite."
"A what?"
"You don't get hungry enough," you explain.
"That's not like me, I eat lots and lots," Avery says proudly, smiling at you through Bethie's hair in your face.
"You do! You eat lots and it makes you smart and strong. That's why I want you to eat lots, too," you say, moving your focus to Bethie again, finger poking her chest gently, "You're just as strong and smart as your sister, but you need to keep eating. Maybe I can make you something else, if you don't want the ants on logs, how does that sound? I can make you anything you want, Beth."
"Can I have something too?" Avery asks, licking peanut butter off of her finger.
"Of course you can. Maybe something not too big for you, though. I don't want you to feel sick."
Avery considers that a win. You keep prodding at Bethie, wondering why she isn't hungry. You offer her soups and sandwiches and when that doesn't work you suggest ice cream and candied orange slices. Avery can't understand why her sister would say no to all of these things, but she doesn't have time to ask. Steve wanders into the room looking like he's been trampled by an elephant, hair sticking up and eyes sallow. There's a new baby monitor in his hand.
"Hey," he says, yawning wide. His teeth snap together and he smacks his lips. "Holy macaroni, she's a toughie. Every time I tried to put her down she'd wake up again."
Avery has been waiting for this moment all day. She abandons her ants, wiping sticky fingers in her nightie as she crowds Steve's legs. She wants to be picked up, but she's a little too long and Steve's too tired. He bends down to put his arms under her armpits and hug her to his chest, grabbing her up half-hearted and depositing her on the end of her bed. He sits down next to her, and he pats his lap.
She squeals happily and complies.
"Hello," he says fondly.
"What have you even been doing all day?" she asks him.
He sighs. "I really don't know, Ave. I don't. What have you been doing? Besides half a jar of peanut butter."
She giggles as he wipes the peanut butter off of her cheeks and the corners of her mouth with the bottom of his t-shirt. "I've been with Beth."
"We watched FernGully," Bethie supplies helpfully.
Steve melts as you have, the two of you slouched against the walls bordering Avery's bed. You have matching dark circles. Avery thumbs at Steve's uselessly, wondering if he needs a good wash or a good sleep. He smells nice, she decides, if a bit milky, pressing her face into his neck as her arms lie flat to his shoulders.
"Is your monitor working now?" you ask him.
"It's really loud," he assures you.
"Okay. I'm worried I'm gonna fall asleep while Dove's downstairs on the beanbag."
"Did you lock the baby gate?"
"Yeah."
"Then don't worry. All our furniture is anchored properly. The worst she can do is murder the pot pourri again."
"I don't want to fall asleep yet, I missed my girls so much," you say, kissing Bethie's cheek. "So, so much. Maybe I can call in sick tomorrow."
"Honey."
"It won't hurt anyone," you say.
"Later," Steve says, talking to you but smiling at Avery, chasing her gaze with his. "We'll talk about it later."
"So mean to me," you joke in a murmur, sliding flat onto your back, Bethie against your chest.
Avery can hear you whispering to Bethie, tiny snapshots of a conversation. Are you sure there's nothing wrong, bubby? and If dinner was yucky, it doesn't matter, you can tell me.
Steve starts to brush Avery's hair out of her face, big fingers exceedingly gentle as he tucks silken strands behind her ears. She had it cut to her chin like Aunt Robin a few weeks ago, and the shorn locks fall to her shoulders now. Steve brushes through them slowly, methodically, tucking it all back with a familiar calmness in his warm brown eyes.
Avery turns enough to watch TV, content to be held by the very best dad in the world, her hand screwed in the neckline of his shirt so he can't run away.
Having finished her hair, Steve moves on to Avery's face. He draws lines against her small eyebrows, flattening sticky up hair with care. He frets at the tiny mole taking form on her ear, the one he made her go see the doctor for. Just a beauty mark, the doctor said.
"Well, she's beautiful everywhere," Steve had said. "How was I supposed to know the difference?"
"Dad," she whispers.
"What?" Steve whisper back.
"Am I pretty?"
Steve pushes her hair out of her face and frames it in two hands. "You're the prettiest girl in the world, Ave."
She blushes and his face does this thing where he looks like he's going to cry, but Steve doesn't cry around them much. He cried when the baby came home, and again the next day with the baby in his arms. Avery was freaked out the first time, but Aunt Robin said he always does it. He cried way worse than that when you came home, Avey girl. He was like a waterfall, they had to put you in a new babygrow. Avery tried to picture it, her dad crying with a tiny baby Avery in his arms, there are enough pictures of them together, but Steve always looks happy.
"You think that?" she asks.
"I more than think it," he says. "Isn't my girl pretty?"
You and Bethie crane your heads. "She's gorgeous," you say with a smile. Bethie nods her agreement.
"Oh," Avery says. She'd wanted them to say that, it was why she asked, but now all the attention is on her she's not sure how to handle it.
Steve chuckles and drags her forward. "You're soooo pretty," he says into her hair, sandwiching her in the tightest hug ever. "You're beautiful. B-E-A-U-tiful."
His niceness makes her really happy to have been nice back; he's being so gentle that Avery decides she's going to tell him about the laundry they put on for him, but he rubs her back some more and she starts to forget. It's not so far from bedtime…
She falls asleep against his chest.
"Can you hear that?" you ask.
Steve looks up from Avery's dozing face to you. "What?"
You pull the baby monitor from your pocket and hold it to your ear. "I thought it was making a weird noise."
Steve listens intently. Now that you mention it, he can hear something. "D'you put the laundry in?"
"You forgot to put it on," you say.
"I was getting around to it. You wanted whites, right, for work?"
"You didn't turn it on."
"Honey, I haven't touched the machine today, not even to fill the drum. What is that noise?" he asks.
You ease Bethie off of your lap and stand with a groan. "It's gonna break," you say decisively, "that sounds like a death rattle. Which is exactly what we need right now, more bills."
Steve lays Avery down. She can't have been sleeping for ten minutes but she's a heavy sleeper and doesn't rouse, only curls inward with her hand on her chin. Bethie holds out her hand and Steve takes it, the two of them joining you in the doorway of Avery's bedroom.
"It won't break, don't worry," Steve placates.
"What are we gonna do if it breaks?" you mumble, rubbing your tired face.
"We'll have to wear dirty clothes," Steve says.
"That's not funny."
Steve frowns. "It so is, you're just tired. And anyway, the washing machine isn't gonna break–" His eyebrows rise.
"Steve–"
"Holy fuck," Steve says, squeezing Bethie's hand. "Well, that's bad."
A line of foamy bubbles are pushing out from under the bathroom door and darkening the carpeting. You rush to open the bathroom door, unleashing a wave of suds that cover your toes. "What the fuck," you say, "what the fuck? Steve, what the fuck."
Bethie puts her hands over her ears before Steve can do it for her.
He joins you in the bubbly bathroom, the two of you horrified and baffled at once. "What the fuck," you say again, this time sounding tearful. You click the off button on the washing machine, and while the sloshing, thick sound it was making ceases, bubbles continue to flood out. Together, you and Steve flattens your towels on top of the floor to smother the soap. You're most panicked about the carpet because it'll get damp and the wood underneath it might rot, and Steve's most concerned about the washing machine, because despite his reassurances, he's worried it really might be broken.
Bethie, quiet, sweet Bethie, stands on a wet towel, her socks soaked, and bursts into guilty tears. "I'm sorry," she cries.
"Why are you sorry?" Steve asks.
You may be confused and irritated, but nothing ever stops you from scooping up your baby and comforting her within and inch of her life. "Beth," you say softly, "don't panic."
She's crying pretty hard compared to her usual tears. Steve hasn't seen her this wound up since that washable pen burst in her mouth over a year ago, maybe even two.
"Me and Ave tried to do the laundry," she admits, shaking, each word said through a staggering sob. "We wanted daddy to have less to do so we could have bedtime cu-cu-cuddles."
"Oh, no," you say gently.
Bethie sobs. You rub her little back. Steve doesn't like seeing Bethie cry, but he can't help smiling in the moment. It's sweet, and it's a tad silly, but the damage done wasn't nearly as bad as Bethie seems to think it is. You and Steve are worriers, is all.
"It's okay," you say, laughing yourself as Bethie wraps her arms around your neck and nearly strangles you in an attempt to soak in your love. "Beth, nobody's mad at you, okay? It was just an accident, it didn't hurt anyone. That's really nice, trying to do things for daddy, but the washing machine is for grown ups, baby. It's hard."
"Mommy?" Dove calls from the baby monitor.
You let out a tired groan. "No," you whine.
"Want me to get her?" Steve asks.
You look like you really want to say yes. "No, that's okay. It's fine." You kiss Bethie's cheek. "Daddy has to take over, my love. I'm not mad, okay? Don't feel sad."
Bethie nods sadly. You hand her over, hovering, and press a loving kiss to her cheek as Dove begins to cry.
Steve watches you take your socks off as you leave, throwing the wet bundle of them back haphazardly into the bathroom. Bethie smushes her face to Steve's chest and cries. He shifts her weight in his arms. They're burning from exertion, but he doesn't complain.
"What did you and Avery do?" he asks. "You're not supposed to come in here without me or mom, you know that."
"We just put the laundry in the washing machine," she says.
"How did you even lift the lid?" Steve asks.
"Avery climbed up," she says, words stringing together into one amorphous blob of sound.
"Beth, why are you crying?" he asks, giving her back a quick pat.
"I didn't mean to make the bathroom explode," she says tearily.
"Ugh," Steve says. He puts the toilet seat down and sits, Bethie in his lap, his chin propped on her forehead. "Who cares? I don't even like this bathroom."
"You're not mad?" she whispers.
"Do I look mad?"
Bethie leans backward to take in Steve's face. He smiles at her, brown eyes light in the glaring bathroom fluorescent, his usually even complexion pale. Bethie raises a hand to feel his dark shadow, cringing at the scratch of stubble against her fingers.
"You don't like my beard, do you?" he asks.
"What beard?"
"Oh, ouch. I'll shave tonight, bub, don't worry. I know you don't like it. Mommy doesn't like it either, she says it makes kisses too annoying."
Bethie giggles quietly. "Not too annoying," she says.
"No?" Steve asks. He leans down to kiss her cheek and her nose and her eyebrows. "How were they? Scratchy?"
"Really scratchy."
"Annoying?"
"No," she says happily. Steve preens.
Bethie actually helps him tidy up the huge mess of the bathroom. Steve opens the washing machine and grabs all the soapy clothes from the drum, dumping them among the sodden towels in the bath tub. He and Beth wash as much soap out of them as they can, until she's practically falling asleep standing up in soaked pyjamas.
He gets her some new ones, helps her change, and tucks her into bed. She's asleep before he's said goodnight.
Exhausted, Steve has no choice but to persevere. He squeezes the excess water out of the newly unsoaped clothes and puts them and the towels in the washing machine, too tired to bother with separating anything properly. He doesn't add detergent.
When that's going, he mops and dries the bathroom floor so everyone's feet can stop making sticky sounds when they walk. He puts the last dry towel on the wet patch of carpet and steps on it. He should rub it, soak up all the excess moisture, but he does not have enough energy.
You ascend the stairs with Dove, your arms shaking from the strain. She's sleeping, so at least there's that. You take her into her room and leave her baby monitor on the side. Dove definitely doesn't need a monitor anymore, it's only for when she's napping downstairs and everyone else is upstairs. Blanket over her legs, you tuck her in and kiss her smooth forehead.
"You need to shower," you say to Steve as you close Dove's door.
"All the towels are wet."
You frown as you pass him by, rubbing his forearm with your finger briefly. "What about a robe? I know it's not ideal, but you're gonna catch a cold, your clothes are wet."
"I'll get changed."
"You deserve a warm shower," you insist.
"Honey," Steve says softly. Your shoulders relax at that one simple word. "I'm fine. We both need to change, and then we need to sleep." If he showered now he'd pass out against the glass like a saran wrapped turkey.
You and Steve change into fresh pyjamas in silence, worried about waking the baby who sleeps in her cot in the corner of the room.
"I'm gonna go get Avery," Steve says.
You're not surprised. "Softie."
"You're a softie," he says, pinching your hip.
Avery's where Steve left her, sideways across her sheets. He knows Bethie wouldn't have masterminded the laundry plan by herself. He frowns at the thought that Avery might be missing him so much that before bedtime cuddles were on her mind.
"Avery, honey," he says, stroking her cheek and her shoulder with either hand.
She murmurs and wiggles away from his touch.
"Ave, come and get in with me and mom. Does that sound okay?" He really doesn't like the idea of his oldest feeling lonely. Sleeping with kids in the bed sucks most of the time due to their flailing and lack of blanket related etiquette, but Steve can deal with it tonight. Just like Bethie, he has a guilty conscious. "Ave?"
Avery blinks sluggishly. "I can sleep in your bed?" she asks.
"Please, would you? I want a cuddle. Does that sound cool?"
Avery finally opens her eyes, her long lashes riddled with sleepies. "That sounds so cool," she says croakily.
He can't carry her, he'd drop her at this point. They hold hands on the way to your room, finding you an inch from sleep on top of the blankets. He and Avery laugh as quietly as they can as they pull them from under you, and when they climb in together, you steal Avery from his side, awake enough to know one of your girls is close by.
"Dad," Avery whines, reaching out her arms until he does what she wants.
Steve throws his arms over you and Avery, snuggling in closely. She relaxes into your chest, her hand clinging to the front of Steve's shirt.
Steve closes his eyes.
"We didn't brush our teeth," Avery whispers.
"Go to sleep, sweetheart," you plead, also whispering.
"We'll get cavities."
"We'll brush double in the morning," Steve promises. "Please, Ave. Sleep now."
Averys easily convinced by Steve's hand in her hair. "Okay," she says through a yawn. "Love you love you."
"Love you, honey."
"...Dad?"
Steve sighs. "What?"
"Did you see? Me and Bethie did laundry."
"I saw. Thanks, babe."
"We–"
"Sleep, Ave. Please go to sleep."

Gala of the Gods (Part 3)
Alright, Part 3 is here!
You get art this time around as well, as I couldn't resist drawing their fancy outfits! Hmm, nothing like attempting to draw these characters for the first time in fancy clothing with patterns and shit, I'm a smart one.
Tumblr media
Hope y'all enjoyed this little 3-parter. If anyone have more ideas, I'd love to hear it, because I like writing these two.
Also, before you read, just as a heads up, it gets a little suggestive at the very end. It's a firm fade to black, but it is a thing that exists. Look for a line of dashes if you'd rather not read it.
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 -You Are Here-
Word Count: 2,300
The Organizer was not a god of... standard form. She wasn't a god of standard anything, to be fair. Scarab couldn't recall many run-ins with her, as their work very rarely overlapped, but that did not make sitting in her office with her staring down at him any more comforting or less nerve racking.
There was a constant noise, as her many, many arms carried on with her daily tasks. Some were writing, others were stamping, some were shredding, it was all happening at once. Her many eyes free roamed around the office as she worked, but she had decided to keep maybe half a dozen glued to the two gods sitting across from her desk.
Lucky them.
No one spoke for a long time. Scarab just nervously fiddled with his can, while Prismo seemed to be doing his best to will the floor to swallow him, shoulders coming up to his ears.
"I thought I had made the policy of fighting at my Gala very clear." Her voice echoed all over the room, rather than coming from some visible mouth. The both of them flinched at the sudden break of silence. "Scarab, while I might be less surprised due to past behavior, I must say I'm still disappointed with your recent track record. Prismo, I can't say I expected to see you in my office of all gods."
"But-"
"I-"
They both started at the same time, but were silenced by a single raised hand.
"However. I am not all-knowing. That is the Observer's job. Prismo, you are not one to cause problems often. And Scarab, despite your difficulties with others, you always filed your paperwork on time. So, I am giving each of you a chance to explain yourselves."
Scarab waited for some signal from her that he was permitted to speak.
"...Prismo, it was you who started it, so you will be first to explain yourself."
Prismo audibly gulped.
"O-Okay... I'd just like to clarify, Scarab and I were not fighting, not in the way you might be expecting. It was my fault..."
Scarab's eyes widened, about to jump in, but was silenced by a hard glare from the Organizer. She gestured for Prismo to continue.
"I lost control over an aspect of myself, and started lashing out. Scarab was just trying to neutralize the threat and calm me down. He wasn't trying to hurt me. Just stop me from hurting others."
There was more silence as the Organizer mulled this information over. Her gaze shifted to Scarab.
"Scarab. Can you confirm this story?"
"Yes ma'am. I was not trying to do harm onto Prismo. I had never seen that aspect of him act out, and I was not sure if or when he could regain control. So I worked to put a stop to it. The only weapon I used was a glorified flashlight."
"I see." Scarab saw distantly a set of arms start sorting through a filing cabinet. "Can you tell me why this aspect of Prismo got so out of control? Last I understood, Prismo, you had achieved complete control and cohesion with all aspects of your dream form. Has this changed?"
"No, no! It's, uh, different..."
"How so?"
"Well... my nightmare aspect only flares up under extreme negative emotions... Stuff life fear or really bad sadness or... when I'm really, really angry. That's what happened tonight, ma'am. I hit a boiling point and it... blew up."
She gave a pointed gaze toward Scarab, causing the beetle to sink into his seat.
"No! It wasn't Scarab's fault!"
"It wasn't?"
"No! I mean, Scarab's related, but it wasn't his fault!"
"How is he related, but not his fault, Prismo?"
Prismo ran a hand through his curls, trying to collect himself.
"So, Scarab's been under my management after the whole Fionna and Cake fiasco, right?"
"Yes, I remember signing that change of management form. I must say, I was a bit confused when I heard you had volunteered. My understanding was the entire incident was caused by a conflict between the two of you."
"It was but... well, the whole thing was my fault to begin with. I did make a rogue universe, and Scarab was just doing his job. He went too far at the end, and it was definitely more personal than his other cases, but I still did what he said I did, and he was right to try and do his job."
The beetle sighed. This was a conversation they had had many times. A lot of confusing feelings had needed to get detangled if they were going to live together. They had forgiven each other for quite a while.
"So, what did Scarab's assignment to you have to do with what happened tonight?"
"Well, Scarab and I have been getting closer. Bonding. We're actually really close now." The Organizer have him a very knowing stare. "I consider him one of my best friends and... I've been learned a lot about him. A lot about how he's been treated by our coworkers and... it wasn't nice and it wasn't fair. I've been getting more and more angry at the others for how they've been treating someone they don't even know, particularly Orbo."
Prismo's hands clenched into fists as he took a deep breath. The Organizer hummed. "What happened between you and Orbo?"
"Orbo cornered me tonight and tried to convince me that Scarab was changing me for the worse because I've been less than nice to him and others who keep trying to act like Scarab's some sort of monster. I got sick and tired of people acting like I was stupid for helping him, that I'm being manipulated. I'm tired of hearing 'Poor Prismo, getting stuck with Scarab, it's so sad for him', like I didn't volunteer for it!"
Scarab felt his mandibles tense... that's what had happened...? Orbo said that...? Was it... true... was he changing Prismo for the worse?
"Orbo making these comments are... interesting."
Scarab raised a brow. "Interesting how?"
"Because he filed complaints and write ups for you every Glob Forsaken time he thought he could."
All color drained from Scarab's face. His heart raced, and he started shaking enough for his carapace to click together.
"He what?!"
"He's submitted thousands of these things over the years. Pretty much none of them went anywhere because the Observer never confirmed the infractions described in the write-ups. Of all your write ups, only three have ever been acted on."
"...Three...?"
"Yes. The first two had notes that Orbo had the authority to discipline as he saw fit within reasonable boundaries. The third lead to the decision to move you into Prismo's management."
Authority to discipline as Orbo saw fit...
He touched the cropped stumps of his former antenna... he felt the lingering burn in his shoulders from his ripped wings...
"Do you... know what those punishments were...?"
"I was not privy to details. Just that they were carried out, and you returned to your duties."
There was a heavy pause, as both Prismo and Scarab processed that news.
"Well, if what you say is true, and I will be calling in the Observer to confirm, then it seems a meeting between Orbo and I is in order. However."
Prismo took hold of Scarab's hand.
"You two did break one of my only rules of the Gala. While it might not have been a true fight, it did cause panic and damage in the Judgement Hall. While it was not either of you who instigated the conflict, it was you two who escalated it to physical violence. It needs to be addressed."
The Organizer pinned the both of them down with a withering stare. Scarab would never not feel like he was a child around her.
Especially now. He saw the way her hands moved, the relentless precision with which she worked. It would be... frighteningly easy for her to pull his arms or legs off... He cast a worried glance to Prismo. His mortal body was much... softer than Scarabs... it... wouldn't survive getting plucked apart...
"...As punishment, you two are going to be my assistants for the time being. Prismo, your job as Wishmaster is still in effect, and you both will be allowed to return to the Time Room. However, you should expect paperwork to periodically be teleported into the chamber. I expect you both to work to complete that paperwork in a timely manner, as accurately as possible. You will be granted limited access to the divine records room for reference. Failure to perform this new duty will have me dragging the both of you back in here. And I won't be as nice next time."
There was a decisive stamp suddenly in front of them, as the Organizer slid a piece of paper in front of them.
Scarab read it. He let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. He almost wept. Paperwork. He could handle that. He wasn't getting pulled part today. Prismo wasn't getting pulled apart today.
"Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes ma'am" they both said together.
"Good. Now, off you go, I have a Star Core I need to speak with."
Before either could say another word, they were warped away in a rainbow of light, and deposited quite ungracefully on the floor of the Time Room.
"Ugh, that sucks a lot when someone else is warping me... Paperwork's gonna suck though, right Scrabs?"
Prismo rubbed the back of his head as he sat up. He spotted Scarab in the corner, huddled down, making himself as small as possible. His heart squeezed as he crawled over to him.
"Hey Lovebug..." He tried to put his hand on his shoulder, but the beetle shied away from the touch. "...Are you okay...?"
Scarab sighed a tired chirp. "No Prismo... I'm... not okay. You were... so angry... you were angry because of me... You're... you're very frightening when you're angry..."
Prismo frowned, rubbing the back of his neck. "No, Lovebug. That wasn't your fault..."
"But it is... You've been so... so kind to me, Prismo... So accommodating and forgiving and sweet... You're making enemies out of friends over me... And... what have I done? What have I done to deserve any of that..."
"Scarab, no-"
"Look at me, Prismo" he snapped. "I'm... not worth this... I'm not good, not like you. I've just been... a problem. An obstacle. Something to work around..."
Scarab's voice sounded so small... Prismo wrapped an arm around his shoulders and squeezed.
"Scarab. You are not an obstacle. I do those things because I want you to feel safe and cared for. And... tonight, you've done more than anyone really has before."
"...How...?"
"Look... When Nightmo takes control, there's not much hope for me coming down on my own. He's a protective measure, but he works too well. He feeds off of negative feelings, the fear and anger around him. He just gets bigger and bigger and more hostile, until there's nothing left to feed on. He has to be subdued or he'll destroy everything around him. I've... I've never seen him back down willingly. Not until tonight."
Scarab looked into Prismo's eyes, wide and uncertain.
"But... but he didn't back down, I had to neutralize him..."
"Scarab, you talked Nightmo down. Yeah, you had to get him small enough to pay attention, but it was your words that got him to fall back. He... He knows you're safe. He'll retreat because he believes you'll protect me. And that's... never happened before. Ever."
Scarab saw the tears pooled in Prismo's eyes, a sad and tired smile spread across his face. He pulled the beetle closer to give sweet kisses to his cheek and neck.
"You've been opening my eyes, Scarab. I was only everybody's pal because they thought I was... in on the joke. I didn't even realize what complete and total wads they were, because they thought I was "cool" or whatever. I don't want to be friends with people who could do the things they've done to you, just because they think no one will care. I have standards. And now I know they don't meet them. I'm not losing friends over you, I'm just finding out who really is and isn't a friend."
Prismo placed a soothing hand at the base of one of Scarab's wings.
"So no, Lovebug. You're not making me worse. You make me, even the worst parts of me, feel safe. I love you. All of me loves you."
Scarab should've been a bit embarrassed by the noises he was making, but it didn't particularly matter now. Not when the two trapped each other in a tight embrace, and a loving kiss. Mandibles threaded through gray hair, talons touched the soft skin they found, and gentle hands soothed aching shoulders.
"I love you too, Prismo" Scarab whispered as they separated for air. He chirped softly as the Wishmaster continued kissing at his neck, his wings twitching and fluttering as best they could.
-----------------------
"...You're so beautiful. You look so beautiful like this..."
Prismo's hands held his waist firmly, thumb rubbing at a seam in his carapace.
"Hmmm... What are you planning, oh great Wishmaster?"
"Well... We do have these bodies. For a little bit longer. I've got no plans for right now. But I could. Or, we could cuddle. Up to you, Lovebug."
Prismo busied himself with Scarab's neck again as the beetle thought. Or, well, as he tried to, but his own shell was suddenly feeling a bit warm. One of his claws traced around the Wishmaster's neck and shoulder.
"I... I think you're quite beautiful as well, Prismo. I'd be... willing to explore whatever plans you might come up with."
Prismo gave him a peck on the cheek, a maybe slightly smug grin on his face.
"I think that can be arranged."
And he closed the door of the Time Room.
