Being a bigender monosexual suuuucks sometimes

I see people just expecting us to bend over backwards about our labels, lest we brandished as a heretic within the queer community, because we're supposedly doing gender and sexuality wrong

Like, I'm sure people have said this over and over and wayyyy more eloquently than I do, but multigender lesbians and multigender gays aren't tainting or contaminating your lesbianhood/gayhood just because they're the """"""opposite gender"""""" of the supposed sexuality they identify with!!

Like whatever happens with "queer as in fuck you and your dichotomy in sexuality and gender"? I thought being queer is about not being boxed in?? But no, everyone and their mom lose their shit when they see someone who is too weird to be properly queer; being considered "oxymoron" "contradictory" "not making sense" or worse, "harmful"

These kinds of transmultiphobia is what makes me unhappy with my gender and sexuality, so much that I'm ruminating over it, because I thought I cannot ever be both a gay man and a straight woman at the same time, for me to be considered "valid" within the larger mainstream queer community

It makes me feel like I'm too weird to even be queer, too quirky, too mentally ill, too harmful to be queer

And I don't know how to shake these feelings off, now that I live in a queerphobic country and most of my local queer spaces doesn't even acknowleges bigender people....

Felt like I'm just making shit up

Okay 👏 I am a bit late but I had a massive stardew valley session and I've not been able to play for the past week. (If anyone is wondering, Alex is my future hubby (in stardew valley ofc)). Either way, sorry for being late.

Today we are doing the Arospec flag, Acespec flag, Ally flag and the Gender queer flag.

Arospec flag up first.

First impressions, it's giving: going to buy paint with my mum at homebase and getting those paper strips with all the paint shades and colours. But in a good way. I love the green aesthetic where the top is more of a yellowish-green and the bottom a blueish-green as it smoothly transitions between the shades. It's giving Lily from Duolingo; in a good way too. However, I do think that the dark purple at the top in general is a bit out of place from the rest of the colours. However, I 𝘢𝘮 gay and extra, so my favourite colour is purple and I truly am a sucker for all purples so,

Time for the Gender queer flag.

Again, purple makes my eyes moan, especially that lavender shade. The green on the other side is great too. But one issue I have with the flag is that, if you're familiar with the history of women's rights in England around the early parts on the 1900's, you'd be familiar with the suffragettes. And if you've seen their flag, you'd realize the way that they look so similar. Doing research on the flag, the creator of the Gender queer flag didn't know about the Suffragette flag and that it was only an accident that it looks so similar. While I know that they weren't trying to appropriate the suffragette flag, it would not take too much effort to turn the flag by 90°. Besides that,

Sometimes I really wish we’d stop saying that bisexuals fall in love with a person, not a gender. As a gay woman, sincerely, so do I. My brain might work differently in terms of which pool of people holds a potential for me to fall in love with, but within that pool, I still fall in love with a person. A whole person. Not a gender.

It’s the same reason why we might find it offensive when some straight people just set up the two gay men they happen to know without taking any further info into account. Yes, they’re both men attracted to other men. No, that’s not enough, they also have to be compatible as people.

Bisexuals are beautiful and deserve all the love and support, just like every other part of the queer community, just like every human being deserves basic respect and dignity as a human. I get that when this slogan was first used, it was meant to empower bisexuals, who had too often been misunderstood and mistreated both by homophobic straights and by ignorant members of the queer community. I’m all here for that! But there has to be a way we can celebrate bisexuals that isn’t reductive to how monosexuals fall in love.

Thinking about gay/achillean/veldian relationships, both fictional and real, wanting for that to be mine so badly...

...and then you're assigned female at birth, not on hormones, and presents femme, so you're going to be seen as a woman anyways, not sure if men (cis and trans) will like you as both a man and a woman

Before I review more pride flags, just wanted to say that you can recommend me to check out flags that I haven't done. I won't do flags I've done (for obvious reasons) or variations of flags I've done before (minus more extreme cases with the polyamerous flag).

Today, I'll be doing the Abrosexual flag, Polysexual flag, Queer platonic flag and Monosexual flag.

Starting with the Abrosexual flag.

First things first, the flag looks tasty. It looks like those watermelon shaped gummies. Colours are absolutely beautiful like just pure gorge 🤩.
