Mono orientations are commonly already seen as exclusive attractions but “mono” could optionally be used as a prefix to specify that : Examples : Mono-gay, Mono-Lesbian, Mono-Straight

Orientation examples : Mspec-gay, Mspec-Lesbian, Mspec-Straight, Bi-gay, Pan-lesbian, Omni-Straight, etc…

Ekleipsian

Happy pride month! Here's a term that's been rotting away in my computer files for a bit:

Ekleipsian is a fluid orientation that changes from solian to lunian. They may also have periods where they are both solian and lunian at once (totalian). One who is ekleipsian may also consider themself a gaybian, abrosexual, or any other term, or just this one. Aspec labels can also be applied to this term.

I named the term after the fact that solian and lunian have names based on the sun and the moon, so a combination term would most likely have to do with an eclipse. "Ekleipsis" is the Greek word that the English word eclipse has its roots from.

The colours of the flag are a combination of the lunian and solian flags with slight colour shifts.

Anyone can use our terms, recoining not necessary.

Flags may not be used by r*dqueers, sysmeds, T.R.A.S.H., or anyone whose beliefs go against the flag's general purpose.

Orientation is as real as gender. Yes, what people feel is real but how it is labeled is not, it’s just something humans made up.

The only exception is if you are using your sexuality to misgender people. (I.E. being a lesbian who likes trans men but not cis men because you see trans men as women or being a gay man who only likes men but also includes some non-binary people, not because some of them are men, but because you don’t think their genders really count.)

Everything else is fine.

It does not matter if it’s a common or uncommon label, or if it is the common historical meaning, or the common modern one, or neither, or if you use it in a way people do not expect you to.

Use one term, use some terms, use many terms, use different terms depending on the context.

It’s all fine.

Gender is fake, orientation is fake, sex is a social construct. Just be kind to yourself and others.

meant to represent anyone under the mspec gay/turian/etc umbrella who doesn't openly identify as such. colored based on a variety of daisies and poppys to represent the history of gay men and gay love; a broader definition of gay.

also inherently reclaiming the pansy craze shit bc i wanted to use flowers and 90% of historical gay flowers are slurs (but i love them so im using them) (not the slurs the flowers)

Amative/Affinitive Pride Flags

Amative Orientation Pride Flag

Amative orientations: any orientation that dooes not describe the gender(s) one is or is not attracted to, but instead describe how one experiences attraction. Eg. conditional/circumstantial/situational asexuality (demisexuality, fraysexuality...), partial aromanticism (mesi/grey aromantic...), null platonicity (suptilic aplatonicism...), refero-, chameleo-, etc.

Affinitive Orientation Pride Flag

Affinitive or affectional orientations: any orientations that describe which gender(s) one is or is not attracted to. Eg. multi-, mono-, juvelic terms.

Not every orientation is inherently this or the other, but they are useful umbrella terms. Sometimes they are intertwined, other times some may emphasize one over another, questioning and undefined people may don't know which one they have, amplusic (fluid/flux/flex) people may navigate through both and other possibilities.

Totalian

Totalian is an orientation when one is both lunian and solian. One may also consider themself a gaybian, or just totalian. Aspec labels can also be applied to this term.

If their orientation is fluid between lunian and solian, they may consider themself ekleipsian.

The colours were inspired by the solian and lunian flags, with a dark middle stripe to show the "eclipse" symbolism.

The name comes from the term "total eclipse."
