Fenton wears a binder, Phantom doesn’t.

I don’t write a lot of trans Danny, mostly because I don’t think I could do it Justice, but I thought of a AU where Danny is trans male but definitely appears fem and it causes him a lot of gender dysphoria.

He wears a binder his parents special made for him, he keeps his hair short. His friends take him clothes shopping and he gets baggy clothes that help him present more masculine but it doesn’t change the fact that he takes after his mother.

After the accident happened, Danny never felt more alive.

His ghost half showed the world who he really was, so it tore him apart that his parents seemed to hate phantom, to hate him.

Was their Support a lie? Was their love conditional?

One day Danny is struggling, his Tshots aren’t reacting well to his ectoplasm and he’s just really getting hit with all his anxiety, stress and exhaustion and suddenly everything comes to a head.

He breaks down and his mother does her best to comfort him, and he breaks down in her arms.

He tells her the truth, tells her that he’s phantom and that he has never felt more like himself than when he was in that form.

Maddie cries as she holds her son, she’s proud of him for telling her the truth, heartbroken that she and her husband had caused her son such grief, and shocked.

Because a non sentient creature just mimicking her son wouldn’t differentiate between sex and gender.

It would simply try to copy his original form for maximum efficiency to influence their victims.

Her son’s ghost form taking the shape of his true soul changed everything they knew about ghosts.

Later on, after Danny introduces his parents to frostbite and they make him ecto friendly medications that will help him transition at a safe pace so as to not shock his system.
