What if every time a Yuu has failed, the timeline resets and another Yuu is summoned?
Additional points to this theory
Okay okay hear me out
As we noticed, each rendition of twst media has a different Yuu. They all are vastly different in terms of form, background, experiences, etc.
We have yuuken, yuuya, yuuka, and, of course, yuu/mc/reader.
A lot of people have been mentioning a Yuuverse and the time loop theory again because of the addition of Yuuka.
But what if? All these yuus are connected? We already have a theory of time being reset or reversed. We see how the prologue goes with Grim.
We know that game!Yuu can somewhat get visions that lead to or give a hint of an overblot. We saw how Yuu used that knowledge to spy on Vil before he OB and went to grim when flashes of the chimera came to them.
So what if, each time a Yuu fails, another one is summoned? With different traits, backgrounds, etc. to try again, to have a better chance, so history doesn’t repeat itself. So they can be saved?
Isn’t it Crowley who says “for me, for them, for you, we are all running out of time. Never let go of my hand”
We all knew that there’s something going on with the twst characters, but what if that also includes you? And all the other yuus?
What if, every time a Yuu failed and time reversed, those memories were sent to the new Yuu that arrived?
As a way to warn them? A way to help them?
And that is why we see game!Yuu have those visions. It’s a Yuu who has failed before and passed on their memories or hints to the new Yuu.
If we went a bit darker, we can say that the manga Yuus we see are the ones that have failed as well. We can say in a way, with the new yuus, each of them failed and their knowledge has passed on.
And that is why we get a new Yuu in every rendition

I love how the Manga yuus kinda reflects on the current overblot guy.
Yuuken is shown to be tall and buff and big brother like guy who cares for others. He is more Kendo(I think I spelled it right) guy and good with a sword. He also fits for people who want taller Yuu. He is shown to be brave as seen with the ghosts and excitable. Not as sarcastic as Game Yuu but has more a quite and grounded feel.
Yuuka is the current only Female Yuu which contrast to Leona"We respect Women here" Kingscholar. She fits well with majors of the fan base who more for a female Yuu, while also not being a stereotypical or self indulgent kind. Yuuka as well answers on how no one would question on Yuu's gender or realize Yuu isn't a male. Yuuka is a Judo fighter in comparison to Yuuken who more of sword usef to Yuuka more physical style.
I feel if the two meet they get along very well.
Yuuya is a light novel Yuu, who is more nervous and anxious in comparison to the others so far. And acts someone who would reasonably freak out and not handle being in another world, while also answering on things like who languages work and other small details not brought up in the game.
And now Yuuta, who is shown to be good cook and takes people and food very seriously. He's more jolval of the Yuus so far. Light hearted and kind. Him being chubby is a smart move considering Azul is the one he has to deal with. I'm interested to see how this manga goes and if Yuuta can help Azul to accept his past self. Plus I want more of Him and Jack cause they be cute together.
I also looking forward the next 4 chapter Yuus.

The Etymology of the Four Yuus in Twisted Wonderland
For a brief introduction, there are different kinds of Yuus/Player for every media of TWST: Game Yuu, Novel Yuu (Yuuya Kuroki), Heartslabyul Manga Yuu (Yuuken Enma), and the most recent one, Savanaclaw Manga Yuu (Yuuka Hirasaka).
There's a different name for each Yuu in every adaptation of the game. The origin behind each names is quite interesting, so I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
I'm coincidentally a bit knowledgeable about the meaning behind each of their names, however, I am NOT Japanese (I'm SE Asian), so there might be wrong information, and if you find any, please feel free to correct me!
Game Yuu (ユウ)
Unlike the other Yuus whose names are written in Kanji, Game Yuu has their name written in Katakana as ユウ. Katakana is primarily used for transcription of words from foreign languages, but they can also be used as an emphasis on other Japanese words; in this case, Game Yuu's name is used in Katakana to signify them being from another world.
However, it's noted that Game Yuu's name is used as a play on the word “You” as seen in the end of Scarabia Book 4 where they reply with “I am Yuu” (if you have your name set as ユウ) when Mickey Mouse asked for their name.
Game Yuu's name doesn't need That much of deeper analysis explanation since it's meant to be a placeholder of the name us players decide.
Tldr; Yuu's name is written in Katakana (ユウ) instead of Kanji because it's supposed to signify how they're from another world, or simply, a foreigner.
Heartslabyul Manga Yuuken Enma (円満 雄剣)
If you aren't updated with the Heartslabyul Manga, Yuuken was a second year student and the vice captain of his school's kendo club before he was transported to Twisted Wonderland.
He has a very determined, righteous, and open-minded personality. Yuuken treats everyone with respect, as seen in the manga where he defends Riddle from getting hit by eggs even after Riddle just defeated Ace and Deuce in a duel. Yuuken is also strong in terms of physical strength, which is something that Game Yuu doesn't have (lol).
Starting off with his given name Yuuken, it contains the kanji 雄 which means “male or hero”, and the kanji 剣 which means “sword”. For me, this is like a reference to Yuuken's strong personality and determination for justice.
Meanwhile, his surname Enma 円満 comes from the Japanese name of Yama, who is the master of Hell, according to Buddhism and Hinduism. He's considered as a deity who has the authority to judge the crimes committed by those who once lived, and is commonly associated with righteousness. This one is a bit more tricky, so I'll start my in-depth explanation:
The references above are from Shintō or Shintoism, an ancient religion in Japan that is still practiced by more than millions until this date. Shintō is prevalent in Japanese culture, and you can see it referenced in several films, novels, animes, and games, like Twisted Wonderland. It's common in Japanese folklore that every demonic figure has a honji, or “true form”, and as for the Great King Enma, his honji is Jizō Bosatsu, who is the protector of children, travelers, and guards of the underworld.
Although the Great King Enma might seem terrifying and intimidating, he is compassionate, and genuinely wishes to save the souls from punishment, which is why there are several tests given to the souls of the dead to help them avoid going to hell.
((You might have noticed how Yuuken's personality is a bit similar to the Great King Enma..))
And now if we try to analyze the meaning of Yuuken's name, he is more or less like a powerful protector. Both of his names are similar to each other in terms of their meaning: righteousness (because of the word “sword” and with the Great King Enma being associated with “righteousness”).
Tldr; Yuuken's name is a reference to Shintō, which is why he always has the courage to do or stand up for the right thing during the entirety of the Heartslabyul Manga.
Savanaclaw Manga Yuuka Hirasaka (比良坂 悠河)
Savanaclaw Manga just recently started, so the only information we Know about Yuuka is that she's 17 years old, and was a judo master before she got isekai-ed. However, she is currently shown to have an easy-going, caring, and responsible personality.
Her given name Yuuka is a combination of the kanji 悠 which means “to help someone” and the kanji 河 which is “river”. I'd like to think that her given name symbolizes how she could be a bridge to help others.
Moving on to her surname, we are greeted with yet another reference to Shintō. 比良坂 is a reference to the Yomotsu Hirasaka which is, in Japanese mythology, a slope or boundary between the living world and the world where the dead live (Yomi); basically, the pathway to the underworld. There's a whole story to this, so another in-depth explanation is on your way:
The goddess Izanami died after giving birth to the god of fire (Kagutsuchi). The male god Izanagi is devastated by the loss of his wife, so he decides to travel to the Underworld (Yomi) in order to bring her back, which is where he travels through the Yomotsu Hirasaka to reach the Underworld. ((The story goes on, but it's not related about this anymore, however, you can just search “Yomotsu Hirasaka” online to find several stories about the whole story!))
And the use of Hirasaka as a name for the MC is quite headache inducing if we took it into a lore perspective where Game Yuu is connected to Mickey Mouse, who is presumably from another world, through the mirror.
((also can i just add how i Love the references to Shintō.... it's such a neat detail especially if u know that ancient Japanese used to believe that mirrors would suck the spirits of humans and connect our world to the spiritual world which is very fitting in terms of mickey mouse lore. it's like the dreams that Game Yuu sees through the mirrors is a reference to thsi))
Anyway, there's a common pattern for both of the names of the Manga Yuus to be similar to each other. If we take the “river” 河 in Yuuka's name as a symbolism, then it would be something like “path/flow of life” which is similar to the meaning of her surname, the path to the underworld.
Tldr; Yuuka's name is another reference to Shintō, or Japanese mythology. Her name could mean something like “a path to help others”, but we have yet to explore than in Savanaclaw manga.
Novel Yuuya Kuroki (黒木 優也)
From what I've seen so far, Yuuya has an extremely different personality from the rest of the Yuus (and honestly the most realistic one imo LMAO).
Contrary to how the other Yuus reacted after being isekai-ed, Yuuya immediately had a breakdown due to the change in environment. He's not too confident and is frequently anxious due to his past. He also dislikes confrontation. More information about Yuuya is found here.
We've finally arrived at our last Yuu, Yuuya Kuroki. No, there are no references to Shintō this time lol. Maybe a just bit I guess.
His given name consists of the kanji 優 which means “gentleness” and the kanji 也 which is used as “to be”, so Yuuya's name basically means “to be gentle”, which he is.
Kuroki is just a combination of the kanji 黒 which is “black” and 木 which means “tree”, but it could also mean “unbarked lumber”. I'm sure they're trying to reference something after all the Shintō references to the past Yuus, but I am Not sure what they are trying to reference. Lol.
However, trees are symbolic in Shintō as they are said that spirits inhabit trees that are of hundred years. They also connect the world of gods (kami) to the earth, and people.
Meanwhile, I'm not too sure what “black” 黒 could be a reference to. I've only thought of how tattoos painted in black where used as a protection from evil during ancient Japanese times, however, it's rarely seen like that as of today.
Tldr; We have yet to know more about Yuuya, but currently, he is seen to embody gentleness.
I think. that is all for today. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts about this, please feel free to tell me!!!! And pls tell me if i ever said something incorrect because i do not want to spread misinformation ;;
I enjoy how every Yuu is somewhat related to the world building lore of twst so i could not resist talking about this.

I had a very cringy and basic idea But
What if like Yuu(reporter or villain to be specific) was in part of a play?
Not a school play but like an office or neighborhood play(playing a part would get them money) and surprise surprise they get the Main character or the damsel in distress.
Who needs to be saved.
Yuuken is the Main character or the damsel in distress
All the dorm leaders are really jelly, and some will go on their civilian form to stop this
Thank you for the ask, dear anon!
And it’s not basic or cringey at all! Sometimes the classics and cliches are that way for a reason~
When the villains hear that Yuu’s work is doing a very informal play for charity, and Yuuken has been selected as the one to play the heroic main lead, it’s code red for all of them.
Especially when the play TWST news is performing is the story of a kidnapped princess with magical hair who escapes from her tower with the aid of a charming rogue, only for the two to find love in each other along the way.
Yuu’s boss is very surprised when the famed pharmacist Riddle Rosehearts shows up in the middle of rehearsals, claiming that Radcliffe-san had an interview scheduled with him for today.
The shock only increases once Kalim al-Asim and his personal aide burst through the doors not a minute behind Dr. Rosehearts, claiming that they have an arranged meeting with Yuu instead.
When Vil Schoenheit and his entourage stride in, the poor woman’s almost ready to start tearing her hair out, because none of them have interviews scheduled in the staff calendar, none of them have any proof of any outside arrangements Yuu might have made, but all of them are refusing to leave.
And then one of the walls disintegrates and she has to reevaluate whether crying from frustration would really be so unprofessional, given the circumstances.
King only gets a moment to stand there, confidently and menacingly, before one of Leviathan’s tentacles tries to sweep him aside.
Thus begins an impromptu grappling contest between the two supervillains, as each one attempts to shove the other out of the way.
Neither notice when Yuu’s boss’s boss is caught in the crossfire and gets punted into a wall.
This lasts until one of Charon’s harpy drones darts forward to stun King and deactivate Leviathan’s tentacles with a high-pitched ringing noise.
The rest of them rush the stage where the touching reunion scene is being enacted.
Thankfully, Yuuken’s costume includes a prop frying pan, and he wasn’t champion of the kendo club throughout his school and university years for nothing.
Back in his lair, Charon finds himself suddenly facing a rare Hidden Boss as Yuuken’s destroying all of his drones one after another, no matter what strats he tries to use to beat him! Should he have leveled up more?!
In his efforts to protect the actor playing the long-haired princess, Yuuken ends up chasing some of them backstage to foil a would-be pincer attack, unwittingly leaving them cowering behind a painted bush.
In a burst of black smoke and green firefly-like glowing, Tsunotaro materializes on the stage.
With all his power, it only takes a flick of his fingers to levitate the actor playing the princess into his arms, carefully surveying the room to ensure his rivals and the civilians herded into a corner by Banshee and Silver Knight won’t interfere before turning to smile down at the person now in his grip.
Yuuya stares back up at him in the princess costume, terrified.
Malleus drops him immediately.
All the other supervillains (including those disguised as civilians), upon witnessing the reveal of who’s actually playing the princess, immediately lose interest and begin awkwardly filing out one after the other.
Yuu, who claimed the role of Captain of the Guard the moment they heard that this was going on, is crying from the effort of not laughing in the wings.
The play, when it finally does air, is very well received by the viewing public.
Yuuya’s convincing performance as the kidnapped princess gets him many more fans than he had before!

What if every time a Yuu has failed, the timeline resets and another Yuu is summoned? Additional Points/Theories
Continuation of this post
(Edit: Repost because it was not showing up in tags)
So, I was talking about this theory with @amys-curious-wonderland yesterday and they brought up some great points. 🌺💕
There’s also the theories of how twsted wonderland could be the afterlife right? So, what if, that's one of the only ways to summon the Yuus? By them “dying”? we saw that carriage-sama came ran over for both Yuuken and Yuuka, and I believe Yuuya had a similar experience. Our yuu doesn’t remember how they got there, but we remember a hand reaching out and a carriage too. all the Yuus also woke up in coffins.
then it brings us back to the twst characters, maybe they are ‘dead or close’ to it, hence everyone in twisted wonderland and Yuu is the one to essentially save them.
As Amy mentioned, twisted wonderland could be like Alice in wonderland with the parallels with reality. Maybe, by saving each OB, the boys are awaken back in their world. Like how Alice is, and both are forms of wonderland no? and it is also a form of saving them.
personally, I think that trope might be done before but, given yana’s ability to story-tell, I wouldn’t put it past her to put a spin on it.
as previously stated, maybe its all the yuus in the yuuverse helping our game!Yuu through memories/experiences.
Like yuuken won against riddle but lost against Leona -> yuuka won against Leona but lost against azul -> etc.
(and maybe yuuya was the one to go the furthest?)
but also, as @nabijay mentioned, this could also account for what Silver mentioned in the character intro, “It’s strange...I feel like I have met you somewhere before”
What if Silver is talking about all the yuus? We don’t know his unique magic yet but we know he has parallels and some sort of connection to the prefect.
as for book 7, we know that they are going to do something different with it just what, we dont know. but that could be a factor too.
as Yuu has visions of chimera grim maybe, it is our yuu who has to stop him or maybe Grim is the turning point/cause of this loop too (or Crowley, malleus?)
and they implemented the retry feature
it could just be a feature but what if, we added that to the lore? What if the retry feature is timelines diverting? or AUs? Because of the choices made or will be made? and how that can affect the time line/loop too.
Or the Retry could be all the Yuus in the yuuverse and the retry is literally the time loop/reset.
personally, I would love it if we can do a “going between worlds” kind of trope. but the possibilities are endless.
what if I went darker? What if the only way to stop the time loop/reset
is by killing Grim? or even the Prefect? both? since they are “2 in 1″ after all

Introducing Yuuka!
"So Yuuka, how's everything so far with... Um, your somewhat permanent stay at Night Raven?" You ask, hanging up some of the laundry while Grim helps with folding. With vice warden Yuu supervisin.
"It's been.." (Remembers ptsd flashbacks of Leonas battle) "Tolerable is a nice way to say it."
You snicker at her answer. "Well, it's not gonna get any easier." You stop, noticing Yuuken and Yuuya grab the pile of laundry to help put up, thanking them as Yuu smiles and nods to show they agree.
"But at least your not alone in this." You say loosely, shrugging your shoulders as Yuuka's face became red at your answer.
Coughing in her NRC jacket, she nodded. "R-right."
