4 plus 1 - Max Verstappen (I ❤️ MILFS verse)
Words: 1,499 Summary: Four times Logan celebrated mothers day and the first time he celebrated fathers day (part of the I ❤️ MILFS verse)

One
The first time Logan celebrated Mother’s Day, he was five. His grandpa had stolen him away from his momma, which had made him pout, but then he had crouched down in front of him and quietly asked if he wanted to buy his momma a present for Mother's Day.
His grandpa, whenever he told the story, always liked to joke that he was surprised that Logan’s head hadn’t fallen off with how hard he had nodded yes.
He had gotten taken to the store where Logan picked out a card that apparently said world’s best mom on it, which had made his grandpa grumble that he was way too young for his daughter to be a mom before letting him pick out a big bouquet of flowers.
Scrambling out of the car and into the house, Logan struggled to hold the flowers that were nearly bigger than him and the card, just barely able to see the way his momma’s jaw had dropped seeing him and the ways tears came to her eyes when he cheerfully wished her a happy momma’s day.
Two
In 2014, Logan got to celebrate mother’s days twice for the first time. His momma not even knowing or realizing that England celebrated it on a completely different day, her bemused expression at him giving her candy and a card staying in his mind.
She had still hugged him tight, pressing kisses all over his face and telling him she was the best son, which had made him squirm, telling her that she was the best momma, the two going back and forth until Logan gave up because she had started to tickle him and his stomach ached from laughing.
Three
Logan stares at the display in front of him, trying not to feel awkward with the eyes boring into him.
“Dude, these are like fifteen grand.” Oscar hisses under his breath. “Yeah and none of them are the one.” He hisses back, giving the employee a polite smile. “Do you have anything else?” Their eyes narrow a little, but they nod, an emotionless smile on their face. “Of course, Sir. Our next display.”
Following them over to the next display, his eyes immediately land on a necklace and he instantly points at it. “That one. I’ll take that one, please.” “Are you sure?” He frowns, “Yes. I’m sure.”
He turns to Oscar as they start to open the case. “Momma is gonna love that one.” “Do you have the money for that?” “Of course.” Oscar’s eyebrows raise. “Are you sure? Because if those were twenty thousand, I can’t imagine how much these will be.” Logan nods, shrugging. “Yeah. I’ve got money.”
The clearing of a throat makes Logan turn back around, the necklace is sitting on the counter in its opened box.
“This necklace is forty thousand pounds.” Logan hears Oscar taking in a sharp breath of air, but Logan is already reaching for his wallet. “I’ll take it. And no gift wrap please.” They blink at him before nodding. “Of course.”
Oscar hits his arm when they disappear with the necklace behind a curtain.
“Are you kidding me? Forty thousand pounds for a necklace? Pan is going to kill you! Mother's Day gift or not!” Logan scoffs, rolling his eyes. “I’m eighteen now and it’s my money. Momma can’t kill me for buying her this. Besides, I haven’t given her a gift under a thousand dollars since I was like six. And she’ll love that necklace.” Oscar looks at him in disbelief, shaking his head. “Okay, it is way too easy to forget that Harry is a billionaire and by proxy you are.” “Something tells me you don’t want to know how much your birthday present was.” “What does that mean?” Logan smiles at Oscar, shrugging. “Logan, what does that mean?”
Four
“Can I help with anything?” Logan jumps at the sound of Max’s voice, nearly banging his head into the opened cupboard door if not for Max, quickly yanking him back. “Shit.” He curses, turning Logan around and running a hand over his forehead and head, checking for bumps. “You okay?” “I’m okay. You just scared me.” He chuckles. “Help with what?” Max eyes him for a moment. “Mother's Day. I know that it’s in between Miami and Imola for you guys, and I didn’t know if you wanted help with anything.” “Oh.”
Logan looks at the older man, he doesn’t need any help with Mother's Day. Already has his momma’s gift sitting in his closet, but Max is asking if he can help. Max cares about their relationship, so he finds himself nodding.
“Actually yeah.” Max’s whole face lights up. “What can I do?” Logan quickly says goodbye to his momma’s Christmas gift, but he guesses that what was supposed to be her Mother's Day can just be her Christmas gift. “There’s this watch she likes, but there’s maybe ten available in the world right now.” He starts to tell Max.
Plus One
Logan has never had a father. And as much as he loves his grandpa, he wasn’t really a father figure for him. The closest he got was maybe Oscar’s dad, but even then he never really saw him enough for that. Max though… Max feels like his dad.
He cares about him, and not just because he’s dating his mom. He talks to Logan, checks in on him, before the first session of every day, Max always ducks into the Williams garage to hug him. He brings him water every time he does media, even when he isn’t scheduled for media for a few hours.
It hasn’t yet been a year, but Logan already can tell he’s fighting a losing battle of not just calling Max his dad. And he knows that Max hasn’t let himself think of himself like that. He’s heard him call him his kid a hundred times, but never once has he called himself Logan’s parent or dad. Always respecting the relationship between his mom and him and the boundaries that Logan has set.
But Logan wants Max to call himself Logan’s dad. Wants to call Max dad to his face and not just to Oscar when he’s too tired to filter or to the media to make the journalists go a little crazy.
So he finds himself laying on the couch, head in his momma’s lap as she runs her fingers through his hair.
“Can we talk?” “Always.” His lips quirk up a bit at the quick response. “It’s about Max.” Her fingers still for just a second before resuming. “What about Max?” Her voice is measured, smooth, and it gives Logan the courage to say the next words. “I want to call Max dad.” His voice goes quiet. “I want him to be my dad.” “Oh, baby.” And her voice breaks around the words.
He sits up to look at her. “Are you mad?” “No.” She smiles, reaching forward to cup his face. “No, baby. Not at all. I’m happy. I’m so happy.” “So, it’s okay?” She laughs, her free hand brushing away her tears. “Logan, you can call anyone you want dad, that’s not my choice, that’s yours.” “Do you think he’ll be okay with it? I want to do it on Father's Day. Give him a card too.” “I think Max will be over the moon.”
A week later, Logan shuffles into the living room, a breakfast tray in his hands, where Max is sitting, watching the recap for Le Mans so far.
“Hi.” He greets. Max smiles at him, “You didn’t need to bring me breakfast.” He shakes his head, stopping Max from getting up. “I wanted to. It’s a special day.” “I mean, Le Mans isn’t this kind of special.” Logan huffs out a laugh, handing over the tray to Max, who places it on the coffee table before sitting on the couch next to him.
“Get enough sleep?” Logan nods, running a hand through his hair, the other clutching at the card he has for Max. “Wasn’t too bad. I actually have something else for you, because y’know special day.” Max’s eyebrows raise and Logan can feel nerves fill him. “I still have no idea what you are talking about.” He shrugs and after a moment he passes over the card, carefully watching Max’s face.
Max looks delighted at getting handed the card, but Logan can see the moment he realizes what kind of card it is. His eyes going wide, his whole body stilling. The room would be quiet if not for the Le Mans highlights playing.
The older man carefully opens it up after a long moment, his breath catching as he reads the written words from Logan.
“Logan,” he starts, and his voice is thick. “Happy Father's Day, dad.” Logan speaks before he can say anything else. “Come here.” He finishes, opening his arms, and Logan dives into them. “I love you so much, kid. So fucking much. I’m gonna be the best dad for you.” “You already are.”

Your reflection stared back at you blankly as you fixed the strap of your dress for the umpteenth time. Despite the dress fitting you perfectly, you couldn’t stop yourself from anxiously adjusting it— even if there was nothing to fix.
Social events were always outside of your forte but you wanted to put yourself out there, especially given the fact that it was an event from your work.
You wanted to look your best for tonight and make yourself as presentable as you could, leaving a lasting impression outside of the work environment.
You quickly patted the beads of sweat that were forming from your forehead before touching up on your makeup.
“Are you ready?” A male voice called out from outside the room. Your chest clenched slightly, a sudden sense of urgency washing over you.
“Almost,” there wasn’t much for you to do now but you didn't want to leave the house just yet.
Not a moment passed before Adam stepped in the room. He had a tone build and wore a dress shirt with contrasting dark pants for the occasion. His hair was combed back and he was growing out a stubble that gave a charming feature to his look.
Adam’s held his gaze on your form, eyeing you and your outfit. You felt a tinge of self consciousness until you saw a small amused smile on his face.
“What?” You asked teasingly.
“Nothing,” he stated, his line of sight still sweeping over you. “You look phenomenal, as usual.”
The compliment made your chest warm. You met Adam through a mutual friend at work. Before you got together, you were typically more reserved and kept conversations with everyone to a minimum.
But Adam would always try to spark a conversation with you, even when you gave him one worded answer. He even tried to invite you to socials outside of work with your other co-workers in an attempt to get you to open up.
Though you knew it was only an excuse for him to get to know you and to get your attention, even if it was just disguised as a regular polite conversation. Eventually you caved in to him and a few friendly conversations later, he asked you out.
You took another look in the mirror. There was something missing in the look. You reached over to your vanity drawer and pulled out one of your favourite lipstick shades before putting it on.
Adam leaned over to see your reflection in the mirror and frowned. “Oh…are you wearing that shade of lipstick again?”
You turned to look at him. “Yeah. What’s wrong with it?”
“It doesn’t suit you,” he said simply, his tone casual but the words stinging like a slap. It was one of your favourite lipsticks, a shade you thought complimented you well. No one had ever said otherwise.
“Really? Everyone has said that it matches with my complexion,” you arched your brow in confusion to disguise how bothered you were.
“Well, I’m telling you that it doesn’t look good on you,” he further added. All the reassurances you felt from the compliment you received was replaced with a dull ache.
“I wore it on our first date and you said that you loved it.”
You remembered you were feeling nervous and thought you didn’t look good enough. But Adam reassured you that you look beautiful and that was enough to lift your mood throughout the entire date.
But after hearing his comment just now, you didn’t know what to feel anymore.
“I said I liked the outfit, not the lipstick specifically,” he corrected.
“Should I take it off then?” Reluctantly, you picked up a tissue from the box with trembling hands, ready to wipe it off your lips.
Adam didn’t reply, instead looking at his watch impatiently.
“Look, we need to leave now if we want to avoid the traffic. Meet me in the car in five minutes,” he instructed, completely dismissing your question before leaving the room abruptly, now driven by urgency.
Just to save yourself from hearing him point it out again, you wiped off the lipstick from your lips. However, before you left the room, you packed the lipstick in your purse. A small act of defiance.
As you made your way to the car, you saw Adam fumbling with the glove compartment from the passenger side. Whatever he was looking for, he managed to find it and keep it hidden from your view before you could open the passenger side door.
You stepped in and buckled yourself up before you closed the door behind you. Unintentionally, you closed it harder than you intended, causing Adam to jolt in response.
“Hey, hey easy with the door babe-” he reprimanded, his voice tinged with annoyance.
“What?”
“Are you trying to break the car?” He tried to lighten the mood with a small smirk but failed— his feeble lightheartedness faded like over washed denim.
“I didn’t slam it that hard.” You quipped back.
Adam sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. You could tell that he didn’t want to dampen the mood and argue about this, especially now.
Defuse the spark before it gets ignited.
This wasn’t the first time you fought about something trivial. He left the argument hanging and pulled out a small box.
So this was what he was getting from the glove compartment…
“Here, I got this for you,” His voice switched like a flipping coin, as he opened the box to reveal a necklace. Your eyes widen, taking in the sight of the jewellery that glistened under the low lighting in the car.
The necklace was a silver chain with a pendant that matched with the dress you were wearing. He took the necklace out of the cushion packaging and gestured for you to come closer.
“Come here. Let me help you put it on,” he said. You leaned forward so he could reach the back of your neck.
His fingers grazed on your skin as he fastened the clasp, an act that felt almost too intimate given the recent tension. The coolness of the metal brushed against your neck.
“It’s beautiful. But what’s the occasion?” You asked, one of your hands reaching to touch the pendant. It sat on your neckline perfectly.
“Do I need a motive to give you a gift? I thought these things would be more spontaneous if they came from the heart,” he said as he put on the car's ignition. The engine hummed to life and Adam drove off the driveway with one hand on the wheel.
The car was bathed in his cologne smell. It wasn’t his usual signature scent that he used everyday. This has a spicy undertone to match the occasion, though you preferred his usual scent to this. The aroma seemed to cling into the air and linger long after he sprayed it. You didn’t want to admit that it was too strong for your liking.
You cruised through the streets smoothly and watched as you passed each building and property. Adam glanced over at you from the corner of his eyes, lingering for a moment before he spoke.“You know, I hope you can handle yourself tonight.”
His eyes went back on the road, leaving you perplexed from his comment. Did he think you needed babysitting?
“What do you mean?”
“I’ve noticed you’ve been keeping to yourself a lot lately.” He said, teetering with the edge of criticism before he continued. “Don’t you think you should be a bit more sociable at these events? It’s not a good look to be the quiet one in the corner,”
You frowned at that. You knew that navigating through small talks wasn’t your strongest suit but you didn’t need him to tell you how to act. It felt patronising.
“Are you seriously concerned about that? I always preferred to let my work speak for itself.”
“But this isn’t another day in the office, this is a dinner party,”
“I think I’ll be fine,”
“We’ll see,” There was an edge to his response that made your gut twist.
The car fell quiet between the two of you, with the only sound being the low hum of the engine and the occasional honks from passing cars.
Adam broke the silence again, desperate to kill the awkward tension that he had caused. “So, are you looking forward to the event at least?”
“Yeah, it should be interesting. I don’t think they’ve done anything like this before,”
“You’re right,” he said “It might be the new HR coordinator they hired. Seems like they’re trying to make a good first impression.”
Your destination was coming into view now. The venue where the event was taking place was not too far from the main facility building, making it convenient for the employees that were attending.
It was the company’s 25th anniversary so there were a lot of guests attending, which also meant the car park outside the venue was packed. Adam had to drive around the block— you didn’t miss the annoyed scowl on his face— before he found a decent spot to park.
After killing the engine you both stepped out of the car and made your way to the gate. The entrance was dotted with recessed floor lights, highlighting the pathway along with flowers that adorned the grass area.
You recognised a few of your colleagues from your department. It was refreshing seeing them outside of their work attire and in more festive wear.
Stepping inside, you were first introduced to the complimentary drinks before the main hall that was beautifully decorated. The sound of heels clicking and glass clinking bounced off the walls. The company really went far out to organise this, and you had to admit, you were impressed.
The tension from the car ride still lingered in your mind, but you were determined to make the best of the event, despite the rough start. The buzz in the room helped you forget about your unease.
As you padded further into the room, you spotted a few familiar faces from your department. Jess, one of your closest coworkers and best mentor you’ve had, caught your eye and approached you with a welcoming smile.
“Hey, glad you two could make it,” she greeted you.
“Wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Adam replied.
Jess leaned in for a hug, and you returned with air kisses on each cheek. She stepped back to admire your outfit. “You look incredible. That dress looks so good on you, girl.”
A sense of gratitude washed over you at that. “Thanks, Jess.”
“We’ve saved you a space on our table at the back,” she said before you all made a beeline through the throng of people.
As you made your way to your seats, you caught sight of Miguel, your boss, from the corner of your eye. You turned your attention over to him momentarily, while still following Adam and Jess towards the back.
His height and physique naturally drew attention. Or maybe it was the way he had presented himself tonight. You didn’t know what it was that made him seem more alluring.
His outfit wasn’t vastly different from what you would normally see at work. He wore a well-fitted blazer that accentuated his form.
It wasn’t tight enough to show off his bulging muscles overtly, but it wasn’t loose either. A balance of both, maintaining a modest look that still seemed to draw wondering eyes.
Adam pulled out a chair for you, an unexpected show of chivalry, before taking his own seat. You couldn’t help but pick up on his charms and how his mannerism was a stark contrast to his earlier demeanor back in the car.
You and Jess caught up and chatted for a while. You twisted your body so you could fully face her but as you did, your elbow accidentally knocked over a glass of water. If it weren’t for Adam’s quick reflexes and catching it before it tipped over, the water would’ve spilled all over you.
“Careful babe, that would’ve been a disaster,” Adam said with a hint of concern.
You still felt your nerves spiked from the small shock but it was quickly relieved when Adam placed the glass safely away from the edge. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see that glass there,”
He peered at you with an unreadable expression. You had an uncomfortable feeling that he was going to say something condescending but you couldn’t tell.
A sly smile played on his lips. “It’s alright, babe. Hey, do you remember when you spilled coffee all over the table during your interview?”
You felt like your heart was going to lurch out of your chest. That was a moment you would rather forget, especially in front of the people you work with every day.
You noticed a few of your colleagues at the dinner table glancing over at you. Their eyes felt like lasers, and you couldn’t bring yourself to look at them.
“Did she really do that?” You heard one of them asked, you didn’t want to find out who.
You felt a hint of irritation that they didn’t address the question directly at you. It was as if you were invisible, a subject of gossip.
Adam let out a chuckle before he said, “Yeah, I’m surprised she even got the job after that. If it were me, I would’ve been too embarrassed to show my face again,”
You could feel multiple eyes on you as Adam recounted the story. This wasn’t something that you would like to share with anyone else, so you didn’t understand why Adam was telling everyone as if he were sharing an amusing anecdote. It felt like betrayal.
It had taken you a while for you to open up to Adam enough for you to share some embarrassing stories like that. Knowing that he was going to share them like an open book so casually felt like an icy grip around your throat.
Despite your silence and reluctance to look at everyone, Adam seemed oblivious to your discomfort. Either he was ignoring you, or was blinded by his bravado to even notice. Jess managed to see your change in demeanor and how quiet you were all of a sudden.
“Maybe we should talk about something else,” she suggested, placing a hand on your shoulder as a silent comfort. Everyone seemed to agree and the conversation steered away from the topic of you.
As the evening progressed, you managed to emerge out of your shell again from your previous embarrassment. You engaged in light conversations with your colleagues, though you found yourself listening more than talking.
Throughout the interactions, you didn’t notice a familiar pair of eyes that was observing you from afar and picking up on all of your body language silently.
The food served was exquisite and left everyone more than satisfied. Between courses, the CEO took the stage to give a speech, thanking everyone for their hard work and dedication throughout the years.
A loud round of applause erupted in the room, accompanied by smiles from everyone. You could feel the sense of unity and camaraderie in the room.
Dinner was followed by an open bar, which meant more mingling. There were more guests now after dinner than there were when you arrived, so the room felt more confined and bustling.
The mixture of alcohol and perfume smelled like an intoxicating fume. Adam effortlessly moved around from one group of people to another, his presence was booming with flamboyance wherever he went.
He was able to attract people’s interest with his bold body language and confident speech.
You, on the other hand, focused on the small group you were sitting with. You decided to stay at the table, enjoying the conversation and occasionally chiming in with your input.
As you were lost in the office gossip that everyone was exchanging, Adam approached your table with a drink in hand. He leaned in to kiss your cheek before he took a seat next to you.
You didn’t miss the looks that some of your female colleagues flashed at you both. You couldn’t tell if it was jealousy, but it definitely sent a prickly sensation through you. How charming…
“Enjoying yourself?” He asked, his tone casual and calmer now.
“Yeah, it’s nice catching up with everyone,” you shifted wearily in your seat.
Adam’s gaze locked onto you as you took another sip from your drink. His stare felt like poking needles and you could tell that he was going to say something.
“You might want to be careful there, babe. Remember the incident last time…”
“Adam please,”
“…you threw up on the sidewalk? You’re lucky no one else was around to see you,”
Your grip around the glass tightened and you wanted to plummet through the floor. You started to wonder if his bold personality and ability to entertain people in a conversation came at the expense of embarrassing others for some laughs.
Being the ass of the joke.
Did he feed off of the attention? Was that why he kept doing this? You noticed no one was laughing. Some gave you sympathetic looks, while others felt awkward.
Adam took this opportunity to add on to the story, his voice resounding with pride. “And I had to carry her home. I felt like a hero that day,”
You forced a smile to try and disguise your discomfort that flickered in your eyes. At this point you didn’t know how to respond or act. But the last thing you wanted was to cause a scene, especially over a comment.
You waited until the subject of the conversation changed again so you didn’t look suspicious before you rose from your seat.
“I’ll be back,” you said as you took a few steps away, excusing yourself from the group. “Just need to freshen up,”
You left the bar and made your way to the end of the room. There was the dreadful feeling that everyone in the room was staring at you as you swiftly manoeuvred past them. The desire to escape the room intensified with each step.
Finally, you reached the door to the patio and stepped outside. Thankfully, there were only a few people scattered around, making it easier to uncoil the tension that built up inside you.
You took a deep breath, filling your lungs with the fresh air — a relief from the stuffiness inside. Even with the different environment and open space, you still felt the modification catching up to you.
“Is he always like that?” A sudden, familiar rich voice pulled you out of your misery.
You turned to see Miguel standing a few steps behind you. “What?”
He looked striking now that you were up close to him, with the soft glow of the patio light highlighting his features.
His expression was serious when he said “Your boyfriend, Adam. Does he always treat you like that?”
You blinked, swallowing thickly before you spoke. “Oh…yeah. He just has a habit of making jokes like that. It’s just his humor,”
“Interesting sense of humour he has, making you the punchline every time,” he paused, his gaze drifting towards the clear night sky before returning to you. “I find it amusing that you’ve gotten used to being treated like that,”
“Well, he’s my boyfriend…I shouldn’t be—”
“You know, being someone’s boyfriend doesn’t give him the excuse to humiliate you. Why do you keep defending him like this?”
Truthfully, you didn’t know why you kept making excuses for him. Maybe it was easier to downplay the situation than confront reality. You didn’t want to make a big deal out of something that wasn’t that serious in the first place— or at least, that’s what you told yourself.
“He’s not always like this. He’s supportive in other ways. But he does get carried away sometimes,”
“Supportive? Do you mean when he points out your mistakes in front of everyone?” He arched his brow, obviously skeptical.
His words shook you but you had to admit, you didn’t believe your own words, especially after tonight.
“I don’t want to seem too sensitive. I’ve been with him for so long. It’s hard to think about leaving him…”
“Don’t let history keep you in place. You shouldn’t lower your standards just because he’s your boyfriend,”
There was a pause that hung between the two of you. The chilling air was nipping at your bare arms now but you didn’t want to step back inside.
The muffled chaos that you could still hear was enough to make your brain melt. You turned to look at the door that led back inside the bar, a sickening feeling churned inside your stomach.
“I don’t want to go back in there yet,” you admitted.
“Then don’t.” He followed your line of sight before he looked back at you. “We can stay out here for as long as you need to,”
You didn’t speak again after that. Your mind seemed to drift to the facility building that wasn’t far from here. The thought of a quiet secluded space was becoming increasingly appealing now.
You noticed the flicker of curiosity that crossed Miguel’s face as you looked far ahead before realisation gradually dawned on him. He seemed to pick up on your gaze and spoke your mind for you.
“You know, my office isn’t far from here,” he commented, voice boarding a suggestive tone.
“Yeah…I know,”
“Why don’t we head there instead? We can stay there as long as you want without being interrupted,”
“I don’t know…” You knew you didn’t want to be here anymore, but you couldn’t just leave, especially unannounced.
“There’s no one there at this time, and it’s quieter than this place,”
The offer was tempting, but what would Adam say? “I can’t leave Adam here,”
“You still think you need to be with him?” He let out a dry chuckle, stepping closer towards you. “Let him fend for himself for a while. I could tell you weren’t having a good time in there,”
You thought about it for a moment. What was the harm in stepping out for a little while? Adam couldn’t say anything if he didn’t know, right? You did owe it to yourself after everything that had happened, after all.
“Alright,” you agreed. Before you knew it, you were walking towards the car park and stepped into Miguel’s car and on your way. It didn’t take long until you arrived outside the familiar surroundings of the establishment.
The slick glass exterior of the building stood out in the night. During the day, it would be bustling with people coming in and out through the revolving doors.
Now, it was quiet and not a sound could be heard. But even if the building wasn’t running its usual course, there were still some occupants inside with a few of the lights on.
As you made your way inside to Miguel’s office, there was a comfortable silence. Miguel’s presence felt like a calming anchor in the sea of your anxiety.
Once you made it outside his office, Miguel held the door for you to step in. “After you,”
Miguel flickered the lights on before closing the door with a click, sealing off the blaring noise of the outside world. “It’s quieter here. You can take a breath,”
His office gave a different aura at night compared to what you were used to in the day time. The windows that provided a stunning view of Nueva York twinkled with the city lights. You couldn’t help but stare out in awe.
You turned back to look at him and he handed you a water bottle. “Thank you, Miguel,”
The condensation of the water bottle felt cool against the pad of your fingers.
By now the alcohol was settling in your bloodstream, creating a gentle warmth that radiated in your chest. You felt like you were floating as you walked over to take a seat on one of the plush chairs.
You were starting to notice that the alcohol made you forget about Adam and his concerns about your whereabouts and what he might think or say.
You cracked open the bottle and took a small sip, the cold water tickling your throat.
“So, how have you been handling things lately?” Miguel asked, taking a seat on his usual office chair.
You were grateful the topic wasn’t centered around Adam anymore. You didn’t want to linger on the sting of his words and actions from earlier.
“Well, I’ve been working on that new project proposal so that has been consuming most of my time,”
“I’ve noticed your dedication and your work on the proposal has been impressive so far,” Miguel’s voice carried a note of genuine admiration.
“Thank you…it means a lot hearing that from you,” you replied. You felt a sudden tingling sensation coarse through you and you knew it had nothing to do with being under the influence.
It was a mystery to you but Miguel’s compliments seemed to resonate with you, making your heart quicken slightly. You didn’t feel this type of effect with Adam, not even at the start of your relationship.
Miguel gave a small nod, his eyes studying your keen interest. “I’ve noticed you prefer working alone rather than in a team. You seem more comfortable that way,”
You were taken back slightly by the subject change. Where was he going with this?
“I guess I do. Sometimes it’s easier to focus that way,”
“It’s important to have people who support you. Do you have someone like that?”
Despite trying your best not to think about it, the question pulled your mind back to Adam. After all, he was supposed to be your support system, the first person you go to. “I thought I did but I’m not so sure now,”
You didn’t know what you were expecting after tonight. Miguel seemed to pick up on who exactly you were thinking about.
“How do you really feel about you and Adam?” He asked.
You recalled the conversation before you left the house for the party, when you were still getting ready. You still remembered putting on the lipstick and how you thought you looked good before Adam’s remark.
That wasn’t the first time he had put you down like that when your confidence was at your high. Did he feel threatened by your self-assurance?
“Well, he’s always been charming but recently he’s been more…critical, especially in front of others. I don’t know where this change of character came from.”
As you spoke, you felt yourself unraveling all of your true inner thoughts about Adam now— one’s that you tried so hard to push away just to salvage your relationship.
Perhaps some liquid encouragement and having the right person to talk to was needed for you to loosen your tongue and finally admit all of this.
“Sometimes, people reveal their true colours under pressure,”
You pondered that. Maybe Adam was trying to fit in and had some unresolved issues. Whatever it was, that didn’t justify his actions and the way he treated you.
You bit your lip, feeling a surge of conflicted emotions. “It has been a lot to handle tonight. I never expected him to be so cruel. Part of me wants to stay and fix things, but at the same time….I want something more,”
You didn’t know why it took you this long to finally confess it but now that you did, the air left lighter.
“You deserve something more.” Miguel said softly. His words, though simple, charged with meaning and something more. Affection?
You were so lost in a trance when opening up your emotions, you haven’t realised the close proximity between the two of you. Close enough to capture the faint smell of his sweet musk.
It made you wonder if he was talking about something beyond your professional ambitions. Miguel leaned closer— either he was studying your expressions or memorising your features.
However the moment was cut short when your phone suddenly vibrated in your purse, shattering the fragility in the room and yanking you back to reality. Startled by the sudden noise, you fumbled in your purse to retrieve your phone.
You felt bile creeping up your throat when you saw Adam’s name on the notification. The text was short but jarring.
‘Where are you? We need to talk’

tfatws! bucky barnes x stark! reader (no use of y/n)
after the fight with john walker, you can tell bucky's arm was bothering him. so, you make a trip to see him.
word count: 1.6k | warnings: strong language
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your suit was practically scarp metal after the fight with John Walker. He had tried his hardest to absolutely obliterate your suit. Thankfully, Tony had done a great job of designing it. With a few hours of repairs, it would be good as new.
The one thing you worried about was Bucky's arm, specifically the metal one. You saw how Walker had thrown Bucky across the room into wiring, causing it to shock Bucky's whole body. It made you uneasy to think about wether or wether not the arm was in tact, that and the fact that if it wasn't, it could very well lead to a lot of pain for Bucky.
So, using Friday, you found Bucky's new address. He'd taken residence in a small apartment in Brooklyn, thankfully, not too far from where you were reclaiming the Stark Tower. One car ride later, and you stood outside Bucky's apartment feeling more nervous than you thought you would be.
While Bucky and you weren't on bad terms, it was fair to say he was still uneasy around you. I mean, he had killed your parents, and your only living relative (minus the small Morgan) was also dead. You'd been a baby when The Winter Soldier killed Howard and Maria, so how could there be any bad blood between you and Bucky? You didn't even know what you had lost. That and you were more down-to-earth than Tony, realizing quickly the guilt and shame Bucky felt for his mind-controlled actions.
Using up the last bit of confidence you had, you knocked on Bucky's door. It took less than a minute, and Bucky's surprised face was staring back at you.
"Uhm, hi," You said awkwardly.
"How'd you know where I live?" Bucky asked, confused.
You held up your phone, Friday's screen appearing. "Just a quick scan of all James Buchanan Barnes in the area. Not very many," Your joke fell flat as you stood awkwardly while Bucky processed what was happening.
"Why're you here?" He asked.
"I wanted to make sure you were okay after the fight with Walker." You replied. "I saw you get thrown into all those wires, I saw all the sparks."
Bucky gave a small shrug, "I'm alright."
You eyed his arm suspiciously, "That arm causing you any pain?"
Both eyes now fell on Bucky's arm. You looked back up to Bucky to see him staring at it still. "It's been better," He sighed, his reply honest.
"I can fix it if you'd like?" You suggested. Bucky's eyes nearly popped out of his head at your words, "Or not!" You quickly added. "I, uh, don't want to make you feel weird..er than you probably already do."
Bucky went to move his arm, and you saw the traces of pain etched into his features. "It'll be alright."
"Our fight isn't over yet, Bucky." You argued. "You should be at your best." You took a deep breath in, finding more confidence from deep within, "I promise I won't judge you if that's what you're worried about. I mean, Tony literally had a hunk of metal plunged in his chest, and he made me clean it out all the time, it was really gross and-"
"Alright, alright," Bucky held his hands up. "I don't wanna hear about Tony's gross chest-hole. Just, come on in." The door opened all the way as Bucky walked inside. You trailed behind, slowly shutting the door behind you as you observed the apartment. It was really empty, just a small couch and a coffee table in front of it. The kitchen looked rather bare, too.
You took a seat on the couch, Bucky sitting next to you. You set your toolbox down in between the both of you, putting some space between your bodies.
"I need to see the connection point, if you don't mind?" You said softly, looking to Bucky's covered shoulder.
"Oh, yeah, yeah," He muttered as he hesitantly slipped off his shirt. You quickly noticed the healing scars on his shoulder, all around the joint, but you made sure to pay no attention to them as you hovered your hand over his arm. "It's fine," He said, watching your hesitantcy.
The metal was cool on your hands as you felt around it, looking for the weak point. Once you found it, you grabbed your tools and began to work at it. You weren't used to working in silence, so you tried to make some conversation.
"Steve, uh, used to tell me a lot about you." You said. Bucky raised a brow at you as you continued. "You were his knight in shining armor, or something of the sorts."
"I guess I was," Bucky gave the smallest hint of a smile. "How'd you learn how to do this anyways?"
You shrugged as you grabbed a new tool, "Tony taught me everything I know. Engineering, chemistry, physics, you name it."
"It must've been hard, just you two." Bucky said softly.
Looking up, you shook your head, "Don't start that," You said.
"But it's my fault-"
"For the last time, Bucky, that was the Winter Soldier, not you. I do not blame you, there's no reason to keep hurting yourself over this." You cut Buck off, voice slightly sharp with intention. Bucky's eyes fell on the other side of the room as you sighed, "Tony would have forgiven you, too. He just needed time."
Bucky scoffed, "He had five years."
"Of which we were gone," You countered. "I forgive you for him and myself, okay?"
“Don’t say that,” Bucky shook his head. “Just.. don’t?”
You set down your tool, staring at him. “Do you want proof?”
This gained Bucky’s interest, “Proof?” He asked, voice laced with doubt. “What proof?”
“Who do you think protected your whereabouts in Wakanda?” You asked, “Steve and Sam were on the run. Of course Tony knew you were there. I remember when he got the call. He just sat there for a while, thinking. When we talked about it, he said he was glad you were getting help.”
“What else did he say?” Bucky said with a knowing look in his eyes.
You rolled your eyes, “It’s Tony, Buck. He says anything and everything and means almost none of it.” Bucky didn’t expect you to use his nickname. He liked the sound of it coming from your voice.
“That doesn’t mean he forgave me.” Bucky said.
“Well I do, okay? So stop being such a grump. I’m trying to be your friend, just let me, would you?” You sighed as you began to work on his arm again.
The soldier gave a small sigh, “Stop wasting your time on me when you have a company to run.”
“Stop trying to push me away. Also, Pepper’s helping me run it, so I have all the time in the world.” You argued.
After a brief moment of silence, Bucky spoke again. “I’m still not sure I’m safe to be around,”
The honesty surprised you, making you glance up at him to observe his face. “I’m literally face to face with your arm, tool inside it, and you wanna say you aren’t safe?”
Your comment made Bucky give a small chuckle, “That’s not really what I meant.”
“Then what did you mean?” You asked.
Bucky gave a shaky breath, “In Madripoor, when I had to take down those guys when I was pretending to be.. him,” Bucky explained, “It’s like I could still feel him trying to break free.”
You set a hand on Bucky’s shoulder, making sure to avoid his scars. “Bucky, Wankanda said you’re a free man. The Winter Soldier’s gone.”
“Maybe I’m just so used to violence now.” Bucky offered, “Maybe it’s who I am.”
“No,” You replied quickly. “You are Bucky Barnes. You’re Steve’s best friend, Sergeant Barnes. You’re Sam’s friend, my friend, and you’re a survivor. You’re one hell of a fighter, you’re a victim who pushed through all his pain and suffering to become a better man, and that’s exactly who you are.” Your words left Bucky feeling like he could cry, but he just looked away. You didn’t know whether what you said was right or wrong.
“Thank you,” Bucky muttered as you began to work on his arm again.
“It’s no problem, Bucky.” You responded. You silently worked, trying to ignore the burning sensation of Bucky’s eyes poring holes into your head.
"This world doesn't deserve you," Bucky muttered as you worked. You simply hummed in reply, making Bucky's forehead crease. "I mean it, Stark. You're one of the best people in this world."
Rolling your eyes, you put away the last of your tools. "Bucky, I'm just being a decent person."
Bucky's eyes burned with a new passion, "No decent person would do all you've done for everyone you've ever come across." Before you could protest, Bucky's metal hand grabbed your chin softly. "Don't even try to argue, I know it can be hard for a Stark but can you hold your tongue?" When you didn't reply, Bucky continued. "You're so humble, so fuckin' sweet. I mean, you came all this way just to fix my arm."
"And to check on you," Your voice came out babbled as Bucky's hold on your chin was still present.
"I don't deserve your kindness," Bucky admitted, "But here you are, giving me all of it." His eyes bore into your own, his own actions betraying his mind as he slammed his lips tightly onto your own. It took you by surprise, but you happily returned the heated kiss as Bucky's hand slithered behind your neck.
"You deserve all of it, the whole world," You mumbled as you pulled away breathlessly. "The world did you dirty, and I'll be the one to wash you of it." With your words, Bucky felt his eyes water as he kissed you passionately again.
Once you pulled apart, Bucky wiped your lips with his thumb, a small smile on his lips. "Does that mean you're gonna stick around?"
"Yeah," you giggled, "I think it does."

Levi x Marley! Reader (Oneshot)
At the drop of a handkerchief
You're strolling through the streets of Marley, humming happily as you eye all the new vendor booths that have come to sell merchandise on this sunny afternoon.
Food, flowers, jewelry, everything you can imagine is here today, with vendors waving you over in an attempt to sway you to buy something.
Although nothing was catching your eye and you were about to call it a day and head home until...
The most beautiful creation stopped you in your tracks.
With your heart pounding and your cheeks flushing red, you lean behind the wall, trying to hide yourself as you take in such a beauty.
But this beauty is no object....this beauty is a person.
A beautiful man.
Skin as white and shiny as a pearl.
Hair as dark as the night.
Eyes as grey as metal.
This man was nothing you have ever seen before.
Quite literally. The suit he’s also wearing is not something you typically see the men of Marley wearing.
He must be from a different country. Which means it will be harder for you to convince him to stay, because there is no way you’re letting this magnificent creature escape you.
Surrounded by his own group of people, you’re anxiety and nerves tell you that you’re not brave enough to go interrupt their conversation to start a new one, so you’re left with no choice…
Smoothing your hair and outfit, you start walking towards him with your head held high.
As you look towards the blue sky, you tell the universe to let it be known if he is your soulmate or not during this test.
As you inch closer, you smile to yourself as the group notices your presence, and when you walk barely past the beautiful man, you slyly flick your wrist to release your handkerchief.
‘One duck, two duck, three duck…’ You count in your head to time how long the seconds pass as you continue walking.
“Oi! You!”
Time stands still as your heart pounds and you do a smooth swivel of your feet to turn around. Your breath hitches when the beautiful man is waving your handkerchief at you.
“You dropped this.” He tells you, his face showing no emotion.
A bit intimidated, you slowly walk over to him, but before you can reach out and grab your belonging, he crumples it in his hand.
“It’s too dirty now.” He grunts, and with his slim fingers, he digs into the front pocket of his dark blue suit.
“Here, you can have mine. It’s clean.” He says, holding a perfectly folded handkerchief out to you.
“O-oh! Ok!” With shaky hands, you grab it from him and gently hold it in your palm. “Thank you, sir. This is very sweet of you.”
Bowing your head slightly in thanks, you quickly turn on your heels and leave.
He watches you leave and Gabi scoffs.
“Gross. I can’t believe I just witnessed that.” She says with a gag.
Levi raises a brow. “What?”
“You fell for the oldest trick in the book.” Falco laughs lightly.
“I have no idea what either of you are talking about.” Levi clicks his teeth and leans against the wall, continuing to watch you walk further and further away.
Onyankopon smiles gently. “It’s something Marley women do to get a man’s attention. They act like they drop something in hopes you pick it up for them.”
Levi’s eyes widen in realization while Hanji bursts out laughing.
“No way, shorty! She had her eyes on you!” Hanji grins and slaps his shoulder.
Falco smiles while Gabi pretends to puke again. “And you gave her a new handkerchief. She’s probably planning your wedding right now.”
Connie gasps. “Captain! Are you going to go after her!”
Levi clicks his teeth. “No. I don’t have time for romance. We have more important matters to work on right now.” He looks away to hide his embarrassment.
Jean sneers and adjusts his hat. “I can’t believe the captain is the one getting all the women.”
As they continue to pester Levi, you watch from afar through a window in a bakery.
“Um, Miss…” The clerk comes up behind you, “You have to buy something to sit in here.”
You wave him off with a hush and go back to watching over your soul mate.
*the dropping of an item to catch the attention of a man was a real tactic used by women during the Victorian era

Thank You (HC)
Fandom: Twisted Wonderland
Pairing: All x gn!Reader, minus Ortho.
Warning: None
Requested by: Anon
Prompt: Heyo, finally made it when requests were open!!! May I request the twst boys reacting to a gn!reader accidentally saying "thank you!" When replying to an "I love you" because they happened to say it while the reader was distracted with something only for reader to notice a millisecond later and apologize??
A/N: Yay! Lol, that's funny. 😂 Poor guys.
———————————————
Leona
Leona raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed by your reaction. He finally confessed to you, and that's your response?
"Yeah? Well. Thanks to you, too," he said in a slightly sarcastic tone.
Though initially annoyed, the prince realized it was an accident on your part. When you apologize, he quickly brushes the incident aside.
"Are ya sure? I can find another person to confess to."
Seeing your panicked reaction to his words made your mistake worthwhile.
Even though he doesn't hold a grudge against you, Leona teases you about it occasionally. Sometimes, when you say you love him, he replies with a 'thank you.'
Ruggie
Ruggie stared at you blankly for a second before laughing loudly. "You're welcome. But y'know I said I love ya, right?"
The hyena was content just by the fact that you didn't straight out reject him. It wasn't that he didn't think you were interested in him, but Ruggie wanted to be prepared for all outcomes.
When you apologized to him, he pinched your cheek. "Wanna try again? I love you."
Regardless of your answer, Ruggie teases you about this incident for a few months. He truly appreciates the humor of the situation.
Jack
The wolf was confused and froze. Did you not like him back...? Did he make a mistake? Jack's ears were slightly lowered when those thoughts were floating in his mind.
He cleared his throat. "Uh...you...are welcome?"
As soon as you apologized to him and explained that you were distracted, the wolf sighed in relief. For a second, he thought that was your way of rejecting him.
Jack won't be able to forget this moment for a long time. Next time he wants to say he loves you, Jack will make sure he has your undivided attention.
Malleus
The prince was stunned and speechless. However, he quickly regained his composure and found your response amusing.
"My pleasure. However, are you certain you heard my words, Child of Man?"
When your eyes widened, and you profusely apologized, Malleus chuckled. He teased you for a while, finding your red cheeks and embarrassment charming.
While he isn't the one to bring up past incidents repeatedly, this is one incident he will never forget and will tease you.
Lilia
Lilia burst into laughter, not expecting such a response from you. He thought you would blush, stutter, try to avoid meeting his gaze, but thank you?
"Well, what a unique response. But, my dear, I said I love you."
Your apologies, embarrassment, attempts to explain you were distracted - everything was entertaining to him.
Now that Lilia knows you can't focus on two things at once, he will use this to his advantage. He looks forward to seeing what kinds of reactions he can get out of you.
Silver
He was confused and thought he had misheard you. Silver neither attempted to correct you nor tried to repeat his words. He was just that embarrassed at the thought that you instantly rejected him.
"O-Oh, wait....I am so sorry!"
As soon as you said those words and gave him an explanation, Silver relaxed. He chuckled, accepting your apology.
Despite that, to this day, he still thinks you half rejected him but changed your mind at the last moment. However, he will never tell you this.
Sebek
Sebek turned red, mostly from embarrassment. But his mind was too jumbled to register anything other than your words.
"Human! I said I love you!" He yelled, thinking you didn't hear him correctly the first time.
Once you gave him an explanation, he lectured you to pay attention when someone speaks to you.
Though, Sebek didn't actually mean to lecture you; it was his way of hiding the fact that he almost got a heart attack. The half-fae honestly thought you rejected him.
Azul
Just like some others on this list, Azul thought your response was a plot to get out of the situation without straight-out rejecting him.
When you apologized profusely, he realized it was an honest mistake and nervously laughed. A part of him wanted to hide in his octopus pot for comfort.
In the end, though, he thinks the situation is humorous - at least you didn't reject him. But Azul will never bring this situation up again.
Jade
Jade smirked at your response and maintained his composure. He figured out from the blankness in your eyes that you didn't hear what he said.
"I believe you meant to say 'I love you,' not 'thank you'. Would you like to try again?"
Whatever response you give him after that, Jade will find it endearing. He doesn't take anything to hear and realizes you were too distracted to register his initial words correctly.
He will definitely tease you about this for months or until he can find another topic to tease you about.
Floyd
Initially, Floyd laughed, finding your response hilarious. But then, his mood quickly deflated.
"Heeeey, Shrimpy. Are you rejecting me?" He whined.
Even after you apologized to him and tried to explain the situation, Floyd's mood remained off. He refused to talk to you for the rest of the day, but Jade assured you he would come around soon.
The following day, Floyd teases you about your response. After all, who says thank you to I love you? Be prepared for his endless teasing. Oh, and everyone on campus will know what you said to him.
Kalim
Kalim grinned, thinking you were appreciating him for confessing to you. "You're welcome!"
Once your mind registered what he said, you quickly said sorry. This only lightened his mood even more. Reassuring you it was okay, Kalim continued to openly express his love for you.
But as soon as you tell him you love him back, Kalim completely forgot about what happened earlier. The only thing he remembered was you loved him, too.
Jamil
Jamil's jaw dropped, and he froze. At first, he thought you were politely rejecting him. Then, he thought you must have misheard him.
With a sigh, he touched his temple and repeated his words. "What exactly are you thanking me for?"
Then, it clicked with you. After your apology, he exhaled, relieved you didn't reject him. Jamil apologizes for confessing when you were distracted.
After that day, he never brings up the incident again. Sometimes, he has nightmares about you rejecting him by saying thank you.
Vil
He was taken aback and frowned. Being a man of logic, Vil figured you were not paying attention to his words. With a sigh, he regained his poise and repeated his words.
"Would you kindly pay attention to my words? Allow me to repeat my words. I love you."
Vil found your nervousness, apologies, and return confession endearing. Even though he was initially irritated, repeating his words made it worthwhile.
Considering your honesty, Vil doesn't make a big deal out of the incident and never brings it up again.
Rook
Rook was shocked and dramatically gasped, resting his hand on his chest.
"Ah, ma chèrie/mon chère, is that truly your response to my declaration of love? Are you perhaps rejecting Moi? Oh, mon coeur."
As he sulked, you quickly apologized. "That's not what...uh...I was distracted! Rook, I love you too!"
Once he heard your response, the hunter instantly switched from sulking to poetry mode.
(Spongebob narrator: An eternity later) Rook returned to his dorm. Now, everyone on campus knows the two of you love each other.
Epel
Epel was confused and didn't know what to think. He was also too embarrassed to repeat his words or ask if you heard what he said. He had spent the last few days practicing in front of the mirror and imagining your reactions, but thank you was not what he expected.
His cheeks resembled apples, but as soon as you said sorry, Epel relaxed slightly.
"It's...o-okay..."
Both of you were so embarrassed that he didn't wait for your response, and you didn't bother to give a response.
Next time, Epel is determined to get a proper response out of you...as soon as gathers enough courage to confess again.
Riddle
When he heard your response, Riddle went through an array of emotions. Shock - did you just thank him? Confusion - was that what you meant to say? Nervousness - did you politely reject him? Anger - why did he bother? Logic - hold on.
It took him a moment to realize you were distracted when he confessed. Mentally slapping himself, Riddle sighed quietly.
"My apologies. Please pay attention. I...I love you."
When you respond positively, Riddle can't contain his happiness, and his cheeks turn red. For the rest of the day, he skips around the dorm, scaring every student he passes. They all think he is possessed.
Trey
Trey maintained his calm because he noticed you were distracted. That was the reason why he confessed to you. It wasn't that he was nervous, but he thought it would be less of a shock to you if he said I love you while your mind was elsewhere.
"You're welcome. Just to make sure, you are not rejecting me, right?" He teased.
Seeing your flustered face and hearing your stuttering apology, he had the urge to kiss you right then and there but controlled.
At times, Trey brings up your nervousness as a way to tease you.
Cater
Despite his confusion at your response, he laughed.
He wasn't expecting that response, but the unexpected element made the experience all the more cute.
"I should have recorded your reaction," he chuckled after you apologized for your mistake. So, what do you have to say to me~? Do I have to put #Rejected or #CaterisDating on Magicam? My followers have to know."
Cater doesn't bring up this moment often, but when he does, he makes sure you are sulking and flustered.
Ace
He had a hard time processing your response and rubbed the back of his head. Once he analyzed your reply, Ace immediately thought you rejected him. He wanted to run away from there.
"Seriously? Aw, man," he mumbled.
"Thank you...did I just...wait, did you just...? ACE!"
Once you told him what happened and said sorry, he laughed. It felt like a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
You would think Ace would tease you about your 'thank you,' but he doesn't. The feeling he had when he thought you rejected him caused him pain that he doesn't want to remember ever again, so he never brings it up.
Deuce
Deuce's mind short-circuited at your response. He was prepared for I love you or I don't feel the same way about you. But thank you?
"Uh...welcome...I g-guess...?" He stuttered.
"Wait!" The moment you realized he confessed, your world started to spin.
Somehow, you managed to give him an apology and explanation, which made Deuce all the more embarrassed. He didn't think you were distracted and mentally punched himself for not paying attention to where your mind was.
He never brings up this incident, even though you said you love him back. Remembering what happened makes him embarrassed all over again.
Idia
When Idia heard you thank him, he backed away. He wanted to run and hide under the bed.
The previous night, he discussed the possible outcomes of his confession, but thank you was not one of them. He even practiced how he would respond if you rejected him. However, Idia was at a loss.
Even when you apologized and told him your mind was elsewhere, Idia couldn't get over the initial shock. Both of you were embarrassed, and the two of you quietly stared at each other awkwardly.
It takes him a little time to get over what happened. But when he does, he tries to confess to you again, hoping you don't thank him. But in case you do, he practiced his reaction, so at least he won't freeze up.

y/n and sunghoon were sprawled out on the couch, laying side by side while on separate devices.
the girl scrolled through social media, passing each video until a particular one caught her eye. she let it play, a curl coming onto her lips as mischief formed in her head.
“hey hoon?” she chirped to her boyfriend.
sunghoon nodded his head in response, attention remaining on his phone.
“can i see your reaction to if somebody hit on you at the store?”
he quickly shifted his gaze to his girlfriend with furrowed brows. “what??” he chuckled, slowly processing her idea.
“come on, just like this video.” she shoved her phone into his face, displaying the video of the couple giggling in the store.
a look of disbelief morphed on his face as he turned back to y/n. “am i gonna get into trouble from this?” he asked, raising one of his thick brows.
the girl giggled, softly shrugging her shoulders while replying, “depends on how you react.”
sunghoon sighed, small grin taking over his face. he wasn’t opposed to the idea after all.
“fine, but if you yell at me, just know that this was your fault to begin with.” he teased, quickly leaning in for a peck on the cheek to distract his girlfriend.
“wh— hey!” she wiped off the kiss. “you can’t just say that and kiss me!”
“too late.” he flashed a toothy grin, plastering on his charming fangs as she sent a smack.
“ow, okay!” he draped a hand over the ‘bruised’ hit and murmured, “you can stop hitting me, i’ll do the video!”
y/n huffed out a sigh and rolled her eyes. “my hits weren’t even that harsh…,” she mumbled, allowing a small smile to be seen on him.
“i know, i just wanted to annoy you.”
she reflected his adorable grin, nudging him away as she began propping the phone up.
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
sunghoon took up half of the screen, looking busy with his eyes focused on a product that was definitely not his already when y/n walked in.
“oh excuse me…,” she prettily blinked, making him glance up with a little snicker. “can you help me? do you know where i can find this specific soap here?”
the girl let her hands lay on his muscled arms, softly squeezing it, making hoon raise his brows and smirk.
“so.. do you think you can help me?”
he gave a quiet scoff. “yeah, and then maybe you can help me.”
she quickly hung her mouth open in shock. “sunghoon!!” her hand that rubbed his arms smacked him multiple times. “you’re gonna say that when a girl comes up to you??”
hoon giggled, nose scrunched and eyes shut from the joy he got in teasing her. “you rubbed my arms, how else should i have reacted!” he yelled, attempting to shield himself from the continuous hits when the recording paused. “that hurts, gorgeous!!”
“that’s what you get!” she laughed back.
“okay, okay! i got it this time!”
his girl huffed before letting the video start again.
“hey..,” y/n approached him. “i just saw you from far away and you’re just so handsome…, can i get your number?”
sunghoon bit back another smile, trying to stay in character as he cleared his throat, “i know i’m handsome, you didn’t have to come up to me to say that.”
her brows quickly scrunched together in disbelief at his words, though still attempting to be the stranger. “so is that a no, pretty boy?” she blinked her eyes, waiting for an answer from the male who was suddenly blushing.
his cheeks grew red and a smile began to show on his lips. hearing that nickname was definitely not what he was expecting.
y/n lingered her stare into his, enjoying his flustered state when she was usually the shocked one.
he quietly hummed, blood still rushing to his cheeks as he uttered, “… y..yes.”
she quickly tilted her head with scrunched brows. “yes??” another smack to the shoulder. “you cheater!”
sunghoon threw his hands up in defense, smiling at her reaction. “what was i supposed to do?? you never call me pretty boy!” he shouted back, trying to get his girlfriend back into his arms.
she clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes, softly letting out laughs since she knew it’d be his weakness. “so if some girl calls you pretty boy, you’re gonna cave in and say yes??” she tested, crossing her arms.
he huffed out a chuckle, stroking her locked hands with his thumbs. “only if that girl is you.” he leaned in for a kiss, expecting a forgiving and sweet pucker up when she turned away.
hoon plastered on a pout, bottom lip pushing out as his eyes glistened. “baby…,” he tried to sooth, but she only shook head in a teasing way.
“again, hoonie.”
he sighed before letting the video start again.
“excuse me?” y/n tapped his shoulder. “i just saw you from over there, and i really wanted to ask for your number. i think you’re definitely my type.”
the male let out a soft exhale, finding his girlfriend unbelievably pretty. his eyes glimmered with love as he shook his head.
“i’m sorry, i have a girlfriend. she’s all i need.” his head held up high, proud of his answer when he felt a soft hit land on his arm.
sunghoon whipped his head in confusion, making y/n playfully click her tongue. “why are you apologizing for having a girlfriend?” she teased, replaying his words in her head. “and you’re supposed to say ‘leave me alone.’”
he scoffed out a laugh, lips coiling into a grin when letting out a quiet scream. “okay, i got it this time, trust me!”
her eyes squinted in disbelief before complying, clicking record once again.
“sorry..,” she walked close to her man. “but do you know where i can find the—“
before she could even finish her sentence, sunghoon was swiftly moving pass her, not uttering a single word.
“hey! excuse me!” y/n tried to stay in character, stifling back laughs from the cold shoulder she was receiving. “i’m talking to you!”
she reached out for one of his arms but he harshly retracted it back and shook his head.
“sir!” she yelled, unable to hide her wide grins. “sir!! i just wanted to know where—“
“go away!!”
“sunghoon!” y/n laughed, huge amount of giggles escaping her as he turned back with a mirrored smile.
he had a cheesy look on his face, brows raising for her approval while she remained to burst in laughter.
the boy approached her, arms wrapping around his favorite girl as they giggled together, adoring how much y/n found his reaction funny.
“that was good, wasn’t it?” he chuckled, pulling her closer to his chest.
she let out muffled laughs, nodding her head while nudging his arm. “i was definitely not expecting that.”
“so should i always do that?”
“maybe another try.”
he scrunched his nose before sighing and agreeing, pressing the record button.
“hey, you’re a really handsome guy, do you have a girlfriend?” y/n asked, hands playing around with her hair strands.
hoon hid another smile, frowning to stop the corner of his lips from curling as he furiously nodded. “yes i do, her name’s y/n and she wouldn’t like you so please go away. i love her, and i’m all hers.”
the girl softly grinned, almost satisfied with his answer. “she doesn’t have to know about us, you know? i can always come back another time.” her hands reached up to his arms like earlier and squeezed them. “you have nice arms, by the way.”
it took his all to not fold right there, but he stayed composed. “yeah, they’re for my girlfriend, not you, so get out of my sight.” he instantly pushed the hands away, almost shoving his girl a little too harsh.
“ah! hoon!” y/n yelled.
“who’s hoon?? how do you know my name? are you a stalker?” the boy remained in his role, eyes squinting in slight disgust. “you’re weird, leave me alone. don’t talk to me.”
he attempted to push the ‘random’ girl away, hands shoving against her.
when y/n almost took a tumble to the ground, sunghoon pulled her back into his arms as instinct; but with the sudden weight shift, the two actually fell together.
they both yelled in sync, hands gripping onto each other as his person landed on top of him.
they giggled, resting against each other as y/n let her hand lay on his chest with his arm held close by her waist.
“so how was that?” he chuckled, breathlessly staring at the ceiling with his head thrown back.
he heard a soft laugh escape from her as she played with the faint ruffles of his clothing. “you better not catch the girl if that happens,” she playfully smacked his broad chest.
sunghoon scoffed. “you think really low of me.”
“no..,” y/n grinned. “you’re just really nice… and awkward.”
he rolled his eyes at her words before pulling her closer by the waist. “then you have nothing to worry about, pretty girl, because only you know my teasing side.”
her heart fluttered at his response, feeling butterflies rupture in her stomach as she snuggled near his upper body.
“i hate you.” she teased, slapping his arm and earning a deep chuckle from him.
the girl felt his rapid heartbeats while he uttered, “no you don’t, you love me.”
he let her glance up at him, loving the way her eyes beautifully sparkled in any light. his face glowed at the mere thought of her as he leaned in, lips curling and eyes lingering.
a finger hooked under her chin to bring her closer, urging for the yearning kiss he’s been wanting ever since the start of this situation.
their lips finally touched and he automatically grinned, pushing her for a sweeter taste as he held her cheek.
when air became a critical need, they both pulled away, sunghoon smiling ear to ear especially more with his fulfillment of a kiss.
“please tell me that was the last one we’re recording, i don’t know how many more hits i can take until i get a bruise.”
y/n snorted out a laugh before nodding her head. “that was definitely the last,” she murmured, leaning in closer to her favorite person.
hoon sighed in content, loving the way him and his girl were — locked on the ground with nothing but love for each other.

Not sure if your request is still open, but if it is can I request where Leon and reader have a baby together? But because he’s away everytime for missions, his baby cries when he comes home one day because they don’t really remember Leon is their dad? Reader has to reassure him that it’s okay?
(I'm sorry if you thought I forgot about this. Work has been hell, but you deserved it sooner. Send me more asks anytime 🫠✌️)

~(Au) Leon Kennedy × f!Reader fic
°-°-°-°-°
《 That morning, you were still bleeding from birth, and your head was ringing from sleep deprivation. But Leon was coming home soon, and he'd be here any minute to see the baby again. He'd held his newborn son once after he was born, but work immediately ripped him away out of the country. The visits at home were seldom and unfortunately they were brief due to Leon being stationed out of your city but any time at all that he was able to give to your newborn son, he gave without question.
When you heard the door open, you'd just woken up from trying your hand at sleeping when the baby slept, but unfortunately, it felt that you hadn't rested at all. Your head pounded, and every hour, you felt your body aching from your labor. The stress you had felt overpowering, but somehow, when he entered the nursery quietly, you felt it slowly melting away.
Leon smiled softly as he met eyes with you. His heart dropped to see you so exhausted but he approached the crib quietly as the baby began to stir with coos and grunts. He wanted to reach down to try and stop him from crying but you assured him it was only because he was hungry. You sat down quietly with your newborn in your arms, resting down to the rocking chair that soothed him through feedings. Once Leon's large duffle bag met the floor, he crossed over to the small table you used to make bottles but you mentioned over your shoulder that you had one in the warmer already.
“You're already good at this.” He said quietly, sitting on the ottoman seat in front of your rocking chair as he handed you the warm bottle he retrieved for you from the warmer. He watched you cuddle the baby close, but you noticed the longing look in his eye. You readjusted gently and said to Leon as you soothingly bounced your arms,
“You want to try? Since you've not gotten the chance?”
Leon's face lit up when you asked. It had been the only thing on his mind, ever since leaving base. He wanted more than anything for the chance to bond and he nodded quickly. His hands tried not to tremble nervously, as if one ill fated touch might break his small son being so small but he sat down in your chair, readying his arms for the tiny weight to rest there upon his lap.
He smiled and moved delicately, almost afraid to breathe as the baby became coddled close to his body. He watched his tiny fingers twine and fidget along with his kicking feet that nudged now into Leon's side, much to his enjoyment as he gently petted to soothe him.
You handed over the bottle, making sure that Leon knew to keep it tilted up and to watch for signs of him being full to prevent overfeeding. He nodded, being careful to begin and he could only smile to begin slipping the tip of the bottle into the baby's mouth that cooed in a fuss.
As his mouth curled around the nipple and a soft, muted rhythm of suckling began. Leon smiled to see him take to the bottle without another fuss and he looked to you, glowing in that proud fatherly beam of realizing he was feeding his son for the first time.
“You're a natural.” You praised him quietly, standing over his shoulder to supervise and Leon peered down quietly in the love that appeared in his face. You placed a burp cloth over his shoulder, knowing this feeding wouldn't take long and Leon said down to the baby who still suckled quietly,
“We got this. Don't we, dude? We're pals already, huh?”
No sooner than Leon said the words, he watched the baby's face turn red in a sudden, loud cry and he removed the bottle from his mouth in fear that he'd done something wrong. You turned your head from preparing the changing table across the room and then came close to see what the commotion could be.
Leon tried to sit the baby up to shush him against his shoulder but it seemed to make him only cry louder.
“Did I feed him wrong?” Leon asked on the verge of a heartbreak and you shook your head, saying delicately that he hadn't done anything wrong. You sat back to the small rocking chair and took the baby back into your arms. Once he rested across your bosom to re-begin his feeding, all of his uneasiness began to settle and you knew then that the truth of what happened would bother Leon.
So you approached it as carefully as you could.
“Sometimes…if they don't recognize your scent, they don't feel comforted.”
Leon's face immediately softened, feeling like a terrible father already and he sunk down in spirit to ask hollowly between you,
“So…he..doesn't really know me?”
You watched the guilt wash over his face as he slumped back into the chair. His heart sank as well when he watched the baby calm down almost immediately when he was joined back at your side. He pursed his lips to say defeatedly, angry at himself for letting this happen,
“I should've been here more. I begged them for a leave. I promise I did.”
“Le, you don't have to convince me. I know you tried to be here. They need you when they need you and I get that.” You said as you rocked the baby who was almost done now with his bottle.
He winced knowing you were trying to console him but the time he lost trying to bond with his newborn wasn't something he could try and get back. You took the bottle from the baby's mouth gently, and placed him on your shoulder carefully to begin softly petting his back before you said to Leon, in hopes to lighten his heavy heart over this,
“You think he just adored me right when he came out? Sure, he knew my voice and my scent. Probably knew he'd get a good meal out of me too. But I didn't magically know what I was doing because I'm his mom? We had to…get used to each other. Bond. It takes only a couple of tries.”
Leon smiled, feeling a little better hearing that and he heard as the baby softly burped, meaning he was probably ready to nap again after that bottle. You brought him back into your lap gently, letting his head rest in the bend of your arm and Leon had to watch.
He didn't want to risk making him feel uncomfortable again so he only stared down this time to watch as the baby's eyes sweetly searched the room. Leon smiled, already knowing a world of love for the son you'd given him after loving you for so long and he felt misty eyed. In order to stop himself from tearing up, he reached up to gently try and swaddle the boy back into his blanket but he was stopped by the baby gently taking his finger.
His small, gentle palm wrapped around Leon's pinky finger and the man smiled widely, wondering if that might be the first good sign that no matter if he was away, they'd bond like the father and son they were while he was here.
He looked down and wondered if he'd get a second chance at holding him and he held a breath as the baby was gently placed back into his arms once you saw that hopeful look in his eye. This time the cradle in his touch felt…closer to you, more fatherly and protective. You hoped that would help and the baby only looked up, studying his face with soft, sleepy glances.
After that moment that assured that he maybe the crying the was done, Leon said to the baby softly in a whisper with a facetious smile to begin tease you,
“You know bud…I've not seen your mom this tired since she had to deal with me on the daily.”
You laughed softly at his joke, nodding your head in agreement until he spoke again, gently swaying the baby in his arms lovingly,
“How about we give her a break for some shut eye? You think we can manage a few hours?”
Your eyes went wide and you began to promise in a stutter that you didn't need a few hours. You just wanted a shower and some semblance of sleep to catch you up. But Leon shook his head when he thought of what you'd said earlier about bonding not being something that happened automatically like a switch, and he assured you as he rocked his son gently,
“You're exhausted, sweetheart. I've got it. If he cries, I'll deal with it. Bonding takes time…you said it yourself. Go on.”
You smiled when you gave in and held your tender belly when you stood from the rocking chair. You kissed him soft and sweet, telling him with love in your eyes that he was a wonderful father already. Even if he didn't think so. 》

Loved doing this one! More Leon delusions to come!!

[2:14 pm]
(cw: cursing, reader is a lil teensy weensy bit toxic but it's fun!!!)
"Did you still want to go get food?" you ask from your position on gamer!Haechan's bed. The same spot you'd been in for the last, wow, almost 3 hours.
"Fuck off! Get my 6 motherfucker!" Haechan yells, before answering softly, "yeah, of course, baby."
You rolled your eyes, he wasn't even listening to you. He had been listening to you when you showed up 4 hours ago when he was very calmly showing you all the changes he made on his Animal Crossing Island. Then, and this was smart, he slid his Switch over to you and told you to make any changes you'd like. So you spent about an hour on his Switch, placing decorations and buying clothes to send to your own island before you realized he was keeping you busy so he could play Fortnite.
Just like he'd been playing last night when he insisted you call him to talk. That casual, and some might even call it cute, conversation lasted all of 20 minutes before he was screaming so loud, you heard him across the room even when your phone wasn't on speaker. Since he'd been so adamant about playing last night and played for so long, you thought today he'd be over it. WRONG! Apparently, there had been some update or something and that reignited his Fortnite obsession.
"Well, do you want to go out like we planned or do you want me to order something?" You asked, turning to lay on your side.
"Of course, my love- oh you stupid fuck! Get back here!" Haechan groaned as the keyboard clacking got even louder.
You pulled a blanket over your face to muffle a groan of your own. A groan of annoyance an frustration more than anything. You'd give him 10 more minutes and then you'd take drastic measures.
You checked the time, 2:14, perfect. You figured you could have at least a little fun while you waited.
"I think it would make you totally ugly if you shaved your head, but why not do it anyway? What do you think?" You asked with a smile.
Haechan nods, "Totally agree, babe. Someone come get this stupid ass little 10 year old that tried to steal my loot."
"And you should pay for our food! And dessert!" You added.
"Of course, baby! Oh, oh, dude! Dude! Headshot! That was a headshot! Holy shit! That was gold!" He exclaimed excitedly.
"And I was thinking maybe after dinner we can go sell your whole set up. Maybe to the first guy we see for like a dollar even less!"
"Yeah, definitely. Dude, I'm out. Fuck, I lagged. Let's join a new game, I'm tired of playing with these fucking kids," Haechan groans, running his hands down his face.
Perfect, you stood up and quickly moved to his computer, pulling at some random plugs until the screen shut off. You placed your hand over his mouth with a sickeningly sweet smile, "We're going to go eat now. Then, because you agreed, we're going to shave your head, you're going to pay, and then we're going to sell your little computer and the whole set up."
You could feel his lips moving beneath your hand, "But-"
You tsked with a fake pout, "Baby, you agreed."
"I wasn't listening! I don't remember what you said!"
"You don't listen when I talk?" You ask with an arched brow.
He opened his mouth and quickly closed it to take a second to think. He hummed, "I promise, the next time we have plans I won't get distracted by games." You gave him a look as if to ask, and? he cleared his throat, "and I won't try cheap gimmicks to distract you. And I will pay for dinner and for the rest of the day all my attention will be on you and no one or anything else. But I won't shave my head or sell my set up."
You smiled, "I was joking. I just wanted to see if anything would catch your attention. Now, let's go, I'm hungry."
You were both on your out when Haechan asked, "do you think I'd look good with a shaved head? Is that why you asked."
You couldn't even look at him, choosing instead to focus on the sidewalk beneath your feet, "yeah, baby. Of course..."

Telling Hugh Dancy about trans masc Will and more...
As some of you already know by now, I went to Boston Fanexpo this past weekend for another stop on the unofficial Hannibal 2024 Reunion Tour.
I had planned to do autographs on the Friday before the Hannibal panel and had brought some gifts for Hugh which included a copy of Adapt. Evolve. Become: The Genderqueer Fandom of NBC's Hannibal, which I compiled and edited last year. I also got him to sign my own copy (above).
It all moved quite quickly, but I did have the chance to explain that it's a volume by and about trans, non-binary, and genderqueer Fannibals that includes art, fics, essays, and personal pieces. He seemed intrigued and I said I hope he'd have the chance to read it and that the art isn't explicit/sexual but some of the fics are - he laughed and said he appreciated the warning.
It was all quite the whirlwind, especially after coming all the way from the UK, so I was absolutely mortified when I remembered the next morning that I had talked with a few trans Fannibals who had specifically asked me to let him know that he/Will is a trans icon. So I went back up to see him again on the Saturday morning when it wasn't too busy (and get more stuff signed) and this is what happened:
[I wrote notes down right after so this is as close an account I can get without having filmed it!].
Me: I saw you yesterday Hugh: I remember (smiley-friendly) Me: I gave you a book Hugh: I remember (smiley-friendly) Me: well, I forgot to tell you. A few trans Fannibals reached out to me to tell you that Will is a trans icon to them and we all love you for it. Hugh was surprised (in a nice way) and I was pretty much going to walk away then - job done and feeling like time for me to stop bothering Hugh lol. But before I could walk away he sort of held out his hand to stop me and said something along the lines of - I don't mean this in a disrespectful way, don't take it the wrong way... I'm genuinely curious- I get that it can be about identity- but what is the connection to Will and being trans? Luckily - my essay in the book is exactly about how Will can be read as trans, so I sort of gave him a summary of that. I explained that (obviously) both Will and Hannibal can be read as queer, and that - especially as both characters have dominant masculine and feminine traits, it's also easy to read them both as trans or in some way genderqueer. He was nodding and agreeing, so I further explained that with Hannibal, he is fully formed - he's already whatever he is - which Hugh also agreed with. But that Will is still becoming, still transitioning and therefore can be more relatable to trans fans who see that journey in themselves. So although it's not necessarily the same journey - there is enough to it that it resonates with trans people. I said that in the show there is also the added bonus of Will being seen and accepted for who he is, just as trans people wish to be. He was nodding along and agreeing with me and then he thanked me for explaining that. It was pretty quiet previously but I'd been there a few minutes so the queue was building up a little but he was so focused on me - so genuinely intent on hearing what I had to say and learning more. SO I CARRIED ON. (lols) I explained to him that it goes further than the show, that we have found a community in the fandom and that many trans people have a catalyst in their life that sparks their journey - like Will had in his friendship with Hannibal. For us it might be a person, an event, or even a TV show. I explained how the fandom are so supportive of trans people - that we are SEEN. That I for one wouldn't have been able to afford top surgery without the kind donations of Fannibals back when I was not in a good place (mentally or financially). That we all help each other and for some of us that has been life-saving. He did the hand on heart thing and said "wow" and was clearly moved. I said to him that so much of this is in the book, that I completely understand if he doesn't want to read the fanfic, but I really hope that he will at least read each of the personal pieces - that each of the fics and art also have a little write up from their creator about what the show and/or fandom has meant to them and their gender journey - how important this has been in our lives. He repeated a couple of times that he would definitely read it. I thanked him and he held out his hand and gave me the most genuine hand shake I've had in my life.
I want to really stress here how much this was instigated by Hugh. That he really wanted to know more and understand and didn't even look at the slowly growing queue but was instead intently focused on knowing more about the trans Fannibals and about why this show and the characters mean so much to us.
I then went off and spoke with a few Fannibal friends in the queue before getting around the corner to another Fannibal friend and having a bit of an emotional moment/breakdown. I can't even explain how grateful I am that he gave me the opportunity to explain all this to him. And I was especially glad I got to tell that Will is a trans icon because I'd have felt terrible if I'd have not done that after people had asked!! Thank you for trusting me to pass that message on for you!
💖
I know for many of you Adapt. Evolve. Become: The Genderqueer Fandom of NBC's Hannibal might have gone a little under the radar. So here is some more about that >>
It was compiled last year for Trans Hanni Day, edited by Max Turner of (and in conjunction with) A Coup of Owls Press - and published under Max's ACoO imprint.
It features essays, personal pieces, fanart and fanfic by and about trans, non-binary, genderqueer and otherwise non-cis Fannibals.
IT IS FREE TO DOWNLOAD, however we ask that if you do that, please consider donating to one of the linked trans orgs if you can afford to (or a similar organisation/charity of your choice).
It can be purchased on Amazon, however, as the proceeds go to charity, and Amazon only gives royalties, more is earned/given if bought directly via Max's shop.
Dearest trans Fannibals, please know that YOU ARE SEEN!

Can you do Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy x single mother S/O? Would they treat their S/O’s son/ daughter as their own?
Hey, hey! This was so heartwarming for me to think about, so thank you for sending in your request! Personally, I can’t see them being anything other than accepting towards the child. Generally speaking, they’d see them as an extension of you, so there’d be no reason for them not to care for them like their own. I hope you like what I’ve written for you 💜💜
CW: fluff, fem!reader (single mom), headcanons/scenario, written with them dating the reader and not married to her.
One of their own (Monster trio)
Zoro
Upon first meeting your child, he was unintentionally intimidating to them. Being the large scarred man that he was, it took awhile for the kid to warm up to him. With small yet thoughtful interactions, trust was built on a solid foundation. He became someone your child could turn to when they felt unsure about something, knowing that Zoro would come at the issue with a level head.
Playtime would always leave the child worn out. It’d be perfect if they were younger, so you could lay them down to sleep much more easily. Sometimes they passed out on the couch, so Zoro would be the one putting them to sleep, seeing as their dead weight would be easy for him to haul off to bed.
He’d be stern yet caring, not giving the kid room to run a muck because he’d always be respectful of the rules you’d set in place. The child learned quickly that they couldn’t try to get their own way if you told them no. “Can I have some candy?” types of questions were always followed by, “What did your mother say?”
Sanji
When you first introduced him to your child, he was very warm and open towards them. Your child took to Sanji almost instantly. With a smile that was inviting and comforting like an embrace, he easily became one of your child’s favorite people. They felt at ease around him; he was caring and gentle but wasn’t a pushover (unless your daughter gave him puppy dog eyes).
One of their favorite activities would be cooking and/or baking together. He’d adore being able to share his passion with them. They’d be put in charge of certain aspects of the meal, so that they felt like they were contributing to whatever delicious food was being prepared. When it was time to lay them down to sleep, Sanji would read them a bedtime story, wanting to show them the affection that his father never gave him.
He’d never cross the line when it came to how you ran your household, treating the boundaries you’d set in place with the utmost respect. Even if your child tried to pull on his heartstrings with an adorable look, he’d honor your rules—despite it being extremely difficult sometimes. Sanji would want to spoil them, so just be sure to keep an eye on him.
Luffy
The first time you introduced Luffy to your child, he was warm and friendly. However, there was just something about him that made your child feel like they needed to scope him out before they could feel comfortable around him; he was, after all, a very unusual person. The more time they spent around him, the easier it got to come around. They then would ask you all the time when Luffy was coming over.
Being the imaginative man that he was, Luffy would create games seemingly out of thin air. Since he was more of the ‘do now think later’ type, your house became subjected to much of their wacky fun. With a few broken items here and there, he apologized profusely for the recklessness and promised to take their fun outside from then on.
Even though he was playful and light-hearted, he still had moments when he was serious. When you or your child needed him to be that, he’d step up and do what had to be done. With that in mind, you and your child’s bond with him would strengthen and whenever you had down time to relax and watch something, more often than not you’d fall asleep on the couch together.

second thoughts
---
"If I didn't know any better, I would think you like him," Jervis said with a soft laugh as he poured the hot water. There was a silence before a sweet sigh from Alice. "I think I just might…"
Those words hitting his ears made him stop momentarily. Glancing over his shoulder ever so slightly, he asked, "Really?"
"Really… I've been thinking about it for some time now. I swear there's a real connection— he's rough around the edges, sure, but he's so sweet past it."
Jervis placed the sachet of tea into the hot water as he took his eyes off her, a tightness sudden in his chest. "…don't you think it's a little too early to say that? I mean, how long have you known him again?"
A hum was audible. "It's been a few months. I think we're coming up to a year, and I've already had a date or two. I've already told you about those, though. Gosh— I still can't believe I spilled that wine on the second date. Embarrassing…"
"It wasn't that bad," Jervis replied, trying so hard to ignore that feeling that clawed at his heart.
"Wasn't that bad? Oh, come on, Jervy, I'm sure if you did that in front of the person you like, you'd be losing your mind too."
The neuroscientist gave a moment of silence in thought, taking the sachet out of his tea and throwing it in the waste bin. He still didn't look at her. "You caught me. I'd probably be a mess… physically and mentally."
"Right!" she said with a giggle. The secretary then hummed again. "…I'm serious though, Jervis."
"Serious about what..?"
"About Billy. I think… I think I might confess to him today, after work."
"Are you sure?" were the words that slipped from his mouth.
"What do you mean, am I sure? I'm sure as sure can be! What, you don't think it's a good idea, me and Billy?"
"No, no, no— No, I'm not saying that, Alice," he quickly fervently denied. "I'm sure you two have… something. I was just asking if, you know, have you meditated on it more? Being in a relationship is a commitment after all—"
Suddenly, the woman had snuck right next to him and leaned on the lounge counter. "I haaaaave meditated on it. It's been a feeling for a while now. Sure, if it was the first few months, that'd be pretty fast, and I get it, but—"
Jervis's gaze met with hers and locked. She looked at him with that pleasant smile, that twinkle in her eyes. "I'm sure you've felt it before, that warm feeling in your chest that feels like it's going to burst right out and spill out, that excitement that can't be quite put down."
The neuroscientist absentmindedly put a hand over his chest, a nervous chuckle escaping his lips. "Oh— Yes! Yes, of course… I have. Course, I have," he nodded for emphasis.
Alice cocked her head to the side for a moment, expecting him to go on. Jervis, noticing how silent he'd become, suddenly spouted, "P-plenty of times! Plenty of times I've had it, hard not to when there's… so many… wonderful people… in this wonderful world."
Alice playfully nudged his shoulder. "I knew you'd get me! You always seem to…" She gave a small giggle and smile. "Seriously though, thank you for looking out for me the way you do, Jervy. A girl's grateful to have a friend like you…"
Jervis forced a bright smile. "And I'd say the same—"
The secretary's gaze was focused on Jervis before it focused past him to the clock. "Oh, oh damn it— break time's over. Thanks again, you'll know where to find me if you want to chat again—"
Jervis watched as she hurriedly got herself together to leave the break lounge. The neuroscientist then managed to muster the courage to say, "Alice—"
"Huh? Need something?" Alice asked as she looked at him with those pretty eyes again. The words stuck in his throat. "I— I hope… the confession… goes well," Jervis finally said.
"Ah, thanks! I hope it does too! See ya, Jervy~" she said before vanishing past the door frame into the fray of Wayne Tech hallways yet again.
Jervis stood there in silence as he finally took a sip of his tea… seems he oversteeped it.
It was cold and bitter by now.

Story Idea: MC brings Jack to the aquarium and to an amusement park for his birthday as a surprise. How would Jack react and feel? (MC tells the amusement park workers to secure the seat next to them to make them feel safer. Most of the time they do comply and if they refuse to, Jack will get off the ride).

You’d never seen Jack like this.
It wasn’t uncommon for him to get so excited that he’d start speaking too fast or try to gather up some fun facts to tell you about a subject, but right now he was completely silent. All he could do was stare in complete starry eyed wonder at the moon jellyfish that gently floated around their enclosure. His hands were clasped together behind his back, most likely to keep himself from touching the glass, and he would slowly yet subtly rock back and forth on his heels.
“Hey Jack? You… doing okay over there?”
“… It’s just like the night sky, don’t you think?”
Jack muttered softly, still sounding amazed even after staring at the tank for so long.
“The way they glow and light up the darkness of the water. Like small little spats in the vast darkness…”
He made a little snapping motion as he said “spats” for emphasis before he turned to you with a little smile on his face and a soft gaze to match.
“Kind of like you.”
It was funny how easily Jack could turn any situation into an opportunity to show his love for you, but this especially made your heart skip a beat. Were you really that important to him? Did he really see you as a light guiding him through the dark? Or were you looking too deep into it? Before you could think more about this, Jack gasped and made his way to the other room of the aquarium.
“Sunshine look they got crabs!!!”
You quickly follow him into the next room, mostly so you wouldn’t lose him, only to catch Jack immediately reading the little exhibit sign placed not too far off from where the crabs were.
“Giant Japanese spider crab! Woah, they certainly fit the title of giant!”
He laughed to himself and you decided to walk over for a closer look. The crab in question was in fact large with long legs, the legs that carried its claws at the front folding inward. The shell was a vibrant reddish orange with white on the legs and the underside of the crab in a speckled kind of pattern.
“Oh that reminds me, hey Sunshine!”
He gave a knowing smile before continuing.
“Fun fact, spider crabs are considered one of the largest crabs in the world! Oh also did you know that the innards of a crab are commonly referred to as miso?”
The first one was probably read off of the sign, but now you’re curious as to where he found out that second fact. It didn’t matter though because you were just happy to see him all excited. Even with all this excitement and energy coming off of Jack, you knew what you had to do. In fact, you were on a mission. Jack was distracted and that gave you time to get him something special. So you decided to give an excuse to leave for a moment and let him watch the crabs some more.
“I’ll be back, just gotta run off to the bathroom is all.”
“Alright sunshine, just don’t be gone for too long! I get lonely without you…”
You waved goodbye and walked away from the crabs, heading towards the gift shop in the aquarium instead. You had already gotten him a gift, but getting another wouldn’t hurt. Plus, you knew exactly what he would like.
…..
You had hidden the gift in the car, under the back seat where Jack would never check. You knew he wouldn’t check because he sits in the front seat which was exactly where he was right now.
“Today was amazing Sunshine! Honestly, it was perfect! I don’t think I could ask for anything more!”
It was hard to keep a straight face as he said that. Very hard. The aquarium was only the beginning of the celebration! Now it was time for Jack’s first gift, so you took an unexpected turn instead of taking the normal route home. It took Jack a moment to even realize he didn’t recognize the road you were driving down and his suspicion was only confirmed the further you drove.
“Hey Sunshine? I thought… I thought the apartment was over there?”
“Mm-hm, the apartment is over there.”
You didn’t turn around though and instead took another turn.
“… Where are we going, sunspot?”
You only smiled and continued straight. Jack decided to look out the window for clues as to where you were taking him only to spot something in the distance.
“Hold on is that a…”
He didn’t even finish his sentence as the Ferris wheel got closer and closer into view along with the many other roller coasters and bright lights that weren’t quite as bright as they could be due to the sun being out.
“Wait, you’re telling me we’re going…!”
Jack couldn’t help but let out a giddy laugh as a grin spread across his face. You on the other hand pulled into the amusement park’s parking lot as a way of answering his question.
“Well aren’t you full of surprises today! I didn’t even know they had parks like this around here!”
His face and hands were pressed against the glass as you parked and got out of the car, walking around to Jack’s side to hold it open for him with a bow.
“After you, sir.”
You said with a playful tone as Jack eagerly hopped out of the car like an overexcited puppy about to go to a dog park. With a quick trip over to the enterance and the purchase of a wristband, you two were ready.
“So, where should we go first birthday boy?”
It wasn’t too abnormal to talk to Jack here since so many people were crowded around you, making it easy to mistake you talking to him for talking to anyone else around. Jack thought for a moment as he glanced around the park to figure out what to ride first, tapping his chin thoughtfully.
“Hmmmm…. Which to choose, which to choose.”
He then grabbed your hand and started guiding you over to the teacups, one of the spinning rides. It’s only a good idea if you can handle being dizzy, don’t struggle with motion sickness, or haven’t had any of the food here yet. It was cute though with the tea party aesthetic and pastel colored cups. Because it was a ride for friends, family, or kids, you’d probably have to come up with a reason not to sit with someone since the people running the rides tend to want to put as many people on as possible. Probably because of the long lines. Your wristband was scanned and you were told you go ahead inside.
As you made your way to one of the cups, you decided to speak up just as you had mentally rehearsed for cases like this.
“Oh hey, if you don’t mind, could I go on by myself? I just prefer some space to feel more secure!”
The person running the ride just shrugged and boom, Jack slipped right in and you followed suit. It just so happened you got the teacup with the cute hearts on it, fitting the two of you very well. Soon after the ride started up and the cup began to spin. It was slow, as these rides for younger audiences tended to be.
“So when does the ride actually go fast?”
Jack asked with curiosity which you couldn’t help but stifle a laugh at, hanging your arms over the rim of the cup.
“Jack this is a kid’s ride, they don’t go fast.”
As if the universe itself came down to punish you for your hubris, the cups suddenly cranked up in speed which caused a yelp to come out of you and a laugh to come out of Jack. As you spun, you caught a glance at the guy running the ride looking all smug at you in particular. Bastard. Fucking bastard. Jack put his hand in the air and leaned into the seat while you were just trying not to throw up right then and there… At least he was having fun. It may have sucked for you and your motion sickness self but it was much more bearable since Jack was enjoying it so much.
Finally, after several minutes of ungodly fast spinning, you two were able to get off. Jack stumbled out while you tried to hold onto him for support, which was a bad idea because you both were just stumbling around like you were two drunks who just came out the pub. However you were able to grab onto a nearby wall meant to keep people distant from those terrible teacups and use your other hand to pull Jack back over to you. It took at least a good five minutes for him to recover from the dizziness he was afflicted with and for you to recover from your nausea. Eventually, you stood straight up again to focus back on Jack.
“Alright we got on the teacups, what’re you thinking of doing next there Jack?”
You teased and gave him a nudge, probably confusing the people who you swear were giving you a weird look. Jack on the other hand was looking off somewhere else, possibly distracted.
“Do you still need a second there Jack?”
You asked, worried he still couldn’t tell left from right at this point, until he snapped out his thoughts with a head shake and turned to you with a sheepish grin.
“Oh sorry sunspot! Kinda got lost in my own thoughts!”
You decided to look where he was before and lo and behold, there was a food stall. How in hell could someone get off of a kiddie ride so fast it made you want to puke your guts up and decide afterwards that this was now the best time to eat?! To be fair though, it was later in the day and you did kinda mess up on the breakfast in bed this morning plus Jack didn’t seem nauseated at all so a little treat from the fair certainly wouldn’t hurt to get for him.
The stand he was looking at had lots of treats too like caramel apples, funnel cake, fried Oreos, popcorn, lemonade, those obsurdly large corn dogs, and cotton candy. With your hand in his, the two of you began to walk over, the smell of sugar, grease, and butter overwhelming yet tempting like a siren’s sweet song. You could see Jack already getting a little excited, a sight that was always pleasant to see.
“What do you wanna get?”
You decided to ask that instead of if he wanted a snack in the first place since it was clear he wanted to try something.
“Maybe some cotton candy? It’s been a while since I got to have some!”
Yeah that sounded about right. Last time he had cotton candy anything was probably when you made him that yogurt that one time at work. He seemed to like it, but you never did get that special surprise he promised… Stupid sprinkles probably, messing up the perfect yogurt… Now though you were going to remedy this! With a quick shuffle through your pockets you pulled your wallet out and got out your card. With a quick scan and the card returned, you were given a large fluff of blue cotton candy on a paper cone. You thought since the pastel blue made it looked kinda like Jack, he’d like it more just like the yogurt.
“Thank you so much sunshine! It looks so good!”
You nodded and watched as he tore off a piece and popped it into his mouth. It did make you wonder if anyone else could see Jack eating… Did they just see the piece floating in air only to disappear? Was anyone even paying attention long enough to care? So many things to wonder, but instead you tore off a small piece for yourself to nibble on now that you didn’t feel sick to your stomach, like a tax for paying for the cotton candy, as Jack continued eating his special treat. It was gone in no time since cotton candy is nothing but spun sugar, leaving a sticky residue on the fingers when finished.
“So tell me, what’s next there Jack?”
A chuckle left you as you watched Jack lick his lips which were stained with a touch of blue. He then focused on the question and hummed to himself as he tried to think of something, giving his chin a tap just like before. He was cute, there was no denying it but especially when he did silly, almost cartoonish stuff like this.
“Well we went on the teacups… Tried some fair food… Oh!”
Then a lightbulb went off, or you assumed it did when he suddenly stood up straight with a finger pointed up before gesturing to the huge Ferris Wheel with a big smile. The lights on the wheel itself were somewhat visible now that the sun was starting to set, giving off a glow like no other. They were colorful too, neon lights of red, white, and blue much more prominent than before.
“We can’t leave without going on the Ferris Wheel!”
Yeah, he was right about that. It was only something someone would avoided if they hated heights, but even then there is still something whimsical about getting on one of them. Plus if you were truly scared, it was Jack’s special day so making today special was worth it even if it meant going on one super tall ride like this one. Besides, it hopefully wasn’t going to be as bad as the teacups.
You stepped in line with Jack and waited. And waited. And waited… It was going to be a while of just waiting and following everyone else in line until- Oh! You were already at the front now! The guy in charge of the ride took a look at your wristband and scanned it why is everything here just done with scanning??? Bleh you feel like an old person yelling at kids to get on your lawn… but either way, you got into the Ferris Wheel’s passenger car and took your seat. You didn’t even have to worry about saving Jack the seat because most people don’t go into the cars with people they don’t know.
It didn’t take long until the ride was started up and the wheel went back to spinning, giving Jack and you some time together.
“You had fun today, right sunshine?”
You looked at him with a raised eyebrow, noticing how the orange colored sky behind him made his bright blue hair stand out and almost glow from the light itself. But you had to snap out of your thoughts on how pretty he was to answer his question.
“Of course I did, why wouldn’t I?”
“No reason, just wanted to make sure you had just as much fun as I did! It wouldn’t be my birthday if you weren’t also having fun!”
Ah, he was just thinking about you was all. Huh. Now that you were on the subject, he thought about you a lot didn’t he? Sometimes you wondered if he thought about anything but you… If he ever thought about himself the same way. Did he ever get time to himself? You know he stays home from time to time but does he use this time to focus on himself at all?
“Sunshine! Look! The sun is setting!”
You snapped out of your thoughts to take a look at the beautiful orange and pink glow of the setting sun. The further the sun traveled, the more noticeable blues and purples became. You could stare at it forever… Yet instead you looked to see Jack who was still watching, the colors of the sky shining in the reflection of his eyes along with the emerging stars that lit up the sky in place of the new resting sun.
It reminded you of what he said earlier that day, about the jellyfish being like stars… And how you were similar to them in that regard. His sunshine, his sunspot, his sundrop… all were light. The stars and the glow of bioluminescence, also light. You were more than just someone he loved, you were the very light that guided him.
Is that why he was so devoted? Why he insisted on caring for you so much? Maybe, just maybe, today shouldn’t be the only day you get to be the one to take care of him. Yes, he would be the one to insist caring for you but did he ever want a turn to be doted on? To be the one carried up the stairs and pressed into the mattress? To wake up to a plate of pancakes in the morning? Did he… Did he ever get the chance to let go and let himself be vulnerable like you were able to with him? All these questions, yet no true answers. It didn’t matter though, you were going to be the one to give your fair share. If you wanted this relationship to be healthy and balanced, maybe it was time to follow Jack’s lead and make him feel cared for every once in a while. Let him know you love him just as much he loves you.
Jack had noticed you were staring for a while and turned to you with a head tilt and a touch of confusion.
“Sunshine? Are you okay?”
Instead of responding, you took his hand into your own and carefully pulled him over. You two had done this before, but with your objective to stay in charge, it activated the tingly feeling of butterflies fluttering around in your stomach and flying up your throat to seemingly prevent you from explaining yourself. It wasn’t needed though as you tugged at the strings of his jacket and lead him over, which he followed seamlessly as he ended up practically on your lap. The moment your lips met, Jack melted into them. Your hand traveled up from holding his hand to cup the back of his head as your fingers tangled themselves up into the thick locks of blue hair that you knew so well.
Normally Jack would try to take on a guiding role during kisses, but with you practically straddling him and holding him in place, there was no room for that. He didn’t mind either, leaning into your every touch and hugging you so close like he worried you’d let go. You didn’t want to let go anyways, not in a million years. In fact, the only thing stopping you from going down and completely ravaging him was both because you knew you were nowhere near a place where you’d get away with it and because you didn’t want to go too fast with this. You needed to be slow with Jack on this type of thing, not just plow right in without asking.
But all good things come to an end and your lips parted from each other, leaving you both a little winded for many various reasons yet yearning for more anyways.
“Sunshine… I love you so much…”
He whispered, voice softer than normal. So that’s what it was… He didn’t mind leading or following, he just wants your attention. With that in mind, you cupped his cheeks and press your foreheads together affectionately with a gentle nuzzle.
“I love you too, more than you could ever know.”
As you two parted though, you noticed the wheel was slowly turning and you could see the crowd of people coming into view for their turn. Ah, you forgot you were still in public. Let’s hope while it was spinning, no one saw you making out with what they probably assumed was just the air…
“… Hey Jack?”
“Yes sunshine?”
“You know what? Why don’t we explore some more here? The park tends to stay open pretty late.”
Jack smiled at this and nodded as you finally came to a stop and the doors of the Ferris Wheel opened.
“I’d love to!”
….
You two left not that long after, talking about things like the big shark at the aquarium and the guy you found who actually won that one rope bridge game the fair had. It was very late at this point, at least for Jack since he had a pretty good sleep schedule and tended to go to bed early.
“Wow sunshine! Today really was the most perfect day ever! You really outdid yourself!”
Even now after the aquarium and the amusement park, you still had a few more surprises for him. Jack didn’t know this though, which you took advantage of. You gestured for Jack to sit down on the couch.
“Well today isn’t over, now is it? Go ahead and sit down, and cover your eyes for me.”
“Oh? Well alright! It’s the least I can do considering how much you’ve done today!”
Jack closed his eyes and covered them up with his hands, humming to himself as you left the apartment. Immediately you went to the car and grabbed the present stuffed under the backseat and shut the door before quickly making your into the apartment again. The bag was placed on the table before Jack, who was still covering his eyes, and you walked into the kitchen to grab the second item. Once back in the living room, the stuff was put down and you began to prepare.
“Just gotta do this… And place those… Can’t forget this!”
He could feel something being placed on his head, almost like a headband.
“Aaaand… There! Jack! You can open your eyes now!”
“Alright Sunshine, let’s see…”
Jack uncovered his eyes and slowly opening them, blinking a few times to adjust before a soft gasp left him. He touched the top of his head to feel a party hat that was glued to a headband was on top of his head. What really caught his attention was what sat before him. Sitting on the table was a gift bag that had a rainbow striped design and the words “Happy Birthday” in the middle. There beside it was a cake that had sprinkles and a rim of white frosting in a wave like pattern decorating the top and bottom. Sitting on the flat top of the cake were thin, long candles in red, yellow, and blue matching Jack’s main colors.
“You… Did you get all of this just for me..?”
He placed his hand on his chest, taken aback and instead of answering, you quickly lit them all. But the moment they were lit, they began to sparkle and pop because they weren’t actually candles, but rather sparklers. Jack’s eyes widened and a gasp slipped from his mouth, watching with childlike wonder at the colorful sparks that flew. As per tradition, you began to sing.
“Happy birthday to you,”
Jack perked his head up and stole a glance at you before looking back at the sparkling cake.
“Happy birthday to you,”
The longer he listened, the more emotional he got. No one has ever done so much for him, especially not on his birthday…
“Happy birthday dear Sunny Day Jack,”
At the sound of his name, his eyes started to water and he couldn’t hold them back much longer.
“Happy birthday to you!”
You finished up only to look and see Jack was crying, albeit very quietly, which he tried to hide by covering his mouth with his hand.
“… Jack…?”
You asked with a hint of worry in your tone, catching his attention. Was something wrong? Did he not like it? Assuming the worse was common in such a situation but you decided to push these thoughts away and ask him instead.
“You… You doing okay over there…?”
Jack wiped away his tears and sniffled, composing himself before giving a smile, a genuine smile that lit up the room like no other. Reassurance is what it was really, that all this was perfectly fine.
“Yeah just… I’ve never been so… Happy? You’re… You’re just so amazing sunshine, I just got a little overwhelmed is all! But these are all happy tears, don’t worry!”
You smiled back at him before walking back to the kitchen just to return with a knife to cut the cake, one plate, and a fork.
“Okay, I’ll go ahead and cut this up. You can open your present while I’m cutting you a slice.”
The cake was cut into eight slices, one being removed and plopped onto the plate on its side to reveal it was a four layer confetti cake with vanilla buttercream between each layer. Jack on the other hand carefully grabbed the bag and waited patiently for you to finish. Once you did, you gave Jack your undivided attention and waited for him to begin but he just waited. Probably for your permission.
“Go ahead, open it. It’s your gift after all.”
Jack then gave a nod and opened the bag up. The tissue paper wrapped gift inside was taken out and placed into his lap as he put the bag off to the side.
“Oh wow sunshine, this has a little weight to it! Now I’m real curious!”
He began to pull the tissue paper away and stopped for a second. Sitting in his lap looked to be a fuzzy baby blue jellyfish with two plastic eyes. You decided to explain.
“Well… I noticed you were looking at the moon jellies earlier and thought you might like this. Plus- Hold on, let me show you this instead.”
With one press on the top, the jellyfish began to glow. It was a soft cyan color and the light itself was kind of the same brightness as a night light; Bright but not obnoxiously so.
“So do you like it? I kinda figured you might want a little companion. Y’know, since I noticed you tend to get lonely when I’m not here.”
He nodded and held the jellyfish up. All he could do was smile as it glowed like a star in the vastness of space. The only thing he could really say was five simple words;
“Just like the night sky…”

And that there is the end! Sorry it took so long! I got mighty busy and by the time it was starting to come together, I thought it would be a nice birthday present for Jack so I scheduled it to release on his birthday!
Sorry for any accidents in writing or rushed pacing! I was trying to complete this while busy with other things and they kinda both overlapped! But things are starting to calm down and requests are for the most part always open!

*cries* imagine kid reader wants to have bangs so one of the segments decide to cut them some but it ends up being too short and look horrible 😭
I tried my best with this one anon, hope you like it😭
Tumblr media
Bangs.
Seeing your Aunty Sandrone was the reason why you're standing on a small stool and looking at your reflection in the mirror. It was her hair. The way her hair looks so pretty. Most importantly, her bangs.
Your father never really did give you a proper hairstyle, he just combed your hair to get rid of the knots before going to his work in the laboratory. But after walking along the hallways of the palace to grab a little snack and seeing the Marionette, you knew you wanted a hairstyle like hers.
You grabbed a comb and brushed your hair down before holding up a pair of scissors to cut your hair short.
"What are you doing?"
You jumped in surprise and quickly turned around to see Theta leaning by the door with his arms crossed.
"Didn't your father tell you not to hold something big and sharp yet until you're a teenager? You're gonna get yourself hurt, dumbass."
He huffed and grabbed the scissors away from your hands before looking over at the hairbrush and clips you left on the sink as he gave you a questioning look.
"What are you even doing with these?"
"I just wanted to have bangs like Aunty Sandrone! Papa never styles my hair and I wanted one! Please Theta!"
The segment would have immediately said no the moment you exclaimed you wanted your hair to be cut for some stupid bangs. But the moment you pulled out your ultimate weapon against him: those puppy dog eyes you mustered up. How could he say no to you...
"Okay! Fine! Come here."
Hearing him give in to your pleas to help you cut skme bangs was probably the most regrettable decision you have ever made.
Theta was never really skillful when it comes to hairstyles. He could slice open a cadaver but snipping and cutting hair? Not on his résumé.
He wasn't really sure how the Marionette was able to cut her bangs so he tried to cut it the same way as hers. Snipping some of your hair and combing it away with a brush before looking it over and grumbling to himself at how they were uneven and asymmetrical to the point that he keeps cutting it shorter and shorter until its even. He already gave up halfway through and left some parts uncut.
". . . Looks good enough."
Theta stared at your face before biting down on his lips to try and stop himself from laughing. Oh archons, he was terrible with hair.
"Thetaaaa!"
Your cries and wails can be heard from the hallways which caused the other segments to stop from their work.
"Ahaha! I said I'm sorry-! Hehehaha!"
The door to the laboratory was swung open as the segments stared flabbergasted at your tiny form, Theta following behind you with tears in his eyes from all the laughing he did. Some were trying to hold in their laughs, others were worried about you. Delta and Gamma was cackling very loudly in the back which made you cry more.
"What's all this commotion about?"
Zandik walked out from his office as he looked at his segments before glancing at you only to choke on his saliva at your current predicament.
"Papa!"
You watched as your father let out a fake cough to hide his laugh before walking over to pick you up.
"(Y/n), what have you gotten yourself into this time? You look... not like how you usually do."
Your father grabbed a small hand mirror and handed it to you as you looked at yourself in the mirror. Pouting at first before wailing at how you're stuck with your hair like that forever.
Tumblr media
"I don't want Theta touching my hair anymore! He made me ugly!"
"HEHEHAHAH!"
"My dear, your hair will grow again. Although it will take a few months.."
"I'm uglyyy!"

reader playing chappell roan in the car when rafe drives her places and he acts like he hates it but ends up learning all the words to all the songs because she plays it so much 😓😓
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🎧⊹♡ ‧₊˚🖇️✩ ₊˚🎧⊹♡
rafe hates when you chose the song, especially when you give him that shit-eating smile.
it's always some hyper pop, with a cheery girl singing. he's just gotten around sabrina carpenter in your car, and that happened through pure force. every single time it was your time to choose to a song, you'd either put on "expresso," or "feather," it was your little ritual. at first it was cute, the way your eyes would lighten up with happiness, your little smile widening as you sang.
rafe even found himself humming to some of the songs, "please, please, please," stuck in his head. one time you teased him so much infront of his friends, he had to toss you off his shoulder, the middle finger in the air.
"sweets, you can't tell people i listen to that-" he tells you patiently, as you preen under his touch, "nah, listen-"
"no! i like that you listen to what i listen to-" you mewl, before pressing your manicured hands on his chest. "rafe, please!"
as we already know, rafe really can't say 'no,' to you. no matter what, people always see you bouncing to another pop song, a cheery smile on his face.
"no! no, this is crazy. last night topper got me a sabrina carpenter body pillow? and then they said it was for me to sleep with-"
then suddenly you press the volume toggle in the car, glaring at him, "rafe. if you love me, you have to love my music."
and then off you go with another singer.
rafe groaned, as he stared in confusion at the new singer, "chappell roan,' it read out, and you gave him a blinding smile before pressing the toggle to start the song.
"h, o, t, t, o, g, o!" you screamed, "you can take me 'hot to go'!"
"who can blame a girl? call me hot, not pretty!" you mouthed with a faux expression, practically dancing to the music. rafe rolled his eyes, before licking his lips to put the truck in park. that was the way it worked, he tolerated your music, and you dressed up for him all cute and bubbly, a girlfriend that made him look good.
but one time, you swore you watched him hum to the music. your eyes widened with shock, "did i just hear you humming?"
rafe's bit his lips, squirming in his seat "it's stuck in my head because you play it so much," he muttered defensively, before pausing the music, "doesn't mean i like it."
"rafe. don't lie to me. i knew you'd like this music. play the next song, it's "good luck babe."
rafe grumbled, as he tried to maintain his grumpy demeanour, but you swore you saw the corners of his mouth twitch upwards as he pressed the toggle. he quickly glanced at you, as your eyes shone with triumph, and couldn't help but smile.
"yea' yea' sweets" he muttered. "gonna make me a true fan, aren't ya?"
you giggled, leaning over to kiss his cheek. "of course!"

A Night out | Part 2

Simon picked up and quickly went silent, not hearing any loud music or chatter from your end.
‘Hello dove, I’m about 5 minutes out…’ His voiced trailed on, you knew he could hear your breathing, but you were afraid to speak. The man made his way into the bathroom further, slowly pushing open the stall doors, chills overcame your entire body.
He made his way to the stall next to yours, pushing open the door more aggressively this time, your voice quivered in your throat. You listened to Simon drive, hearing the car accelerate you felt hopeful that he would make it. The man was now standing outside your stall. He tried to push open the door, and when it didn’t move, he started banging. His drunken voice making your hair stand on end,
‘Ohh who’s in here? Are you hiding?’ You thought you were going to be sick again as the man once more banged on the door, echoing through the small room. You heard the car tires screech as the phone line went dead, he was here. You saw the man get down on his knees, he was crawling for the open slot under the door.
You tried to position yourself as far away as possible, scrambling for thoughts of what to do if he made it inside. You could kick him if he tried to get in, you could scream-not that anyone would hear you over the pounding music. You heart raced as you saw his hand come over the bottom lip of the stall. He tried to reach his hand up to find the lock and you couldn’t let that happen. You kicked as hard as you could from the awkward crouch you were holding over the toilet. The man shrieked as he withdrew his hand inhaling sharply, where was Simon?
‘You little bitch, playing hard to get are we?’ His knees came closer to the door, and he lowered his ugly face to the bottom, peering in and up at you, a grin coming across his face. The bathroom door swung in with such force, it was as if it were going to break off the hinges. The man turned quickly and began to mumble something, never getting the chance to finish his stammering. He had been lifted up and slammed back down to the ground, you couldn’t watch. You looked to the ceiling, tears beginning to flood your eyes as you heard the man yell out in pain, and the silence.
‘Y/N are you in there?’ Simons voice flooded your head as you slowly came off the toilet and unlocked the door. You realize you weren’t really breathing and allowed yourself to finally breath in deep. Tears came down your cheeks as Simon closed the distance between you. He lifted your face to his, his eyes inspecting every inch they could see.
‘Are you hurt at all?’ His voice echoed with fear, the tears only coming faster now, you shook your head and laid into his chest. After a second or two, you look back up to Simon with your eyes red from crying, and your hair tangled.
‘I wanna go home.’ He didn’t even fully let you finish what you were saying before you were gently scooped up and whisked out of the bathroom. Simon had you in his arms as he made his way out, the last thing you saw was the creep on his side, a small splatter of blood coming from around his face. You held your clutch as Simon made his way towards the entrance of the bar. His quick pace made your stomach turn from the lights and loud music, but you didn’t mind. You were more than happy to be leaving.
The group you were with had regathered and were talking as if nothing happened, so much for friends. One of them had looked over to you, being carried out by the beast of a man that was your Simon, you simply gave a small wave, and then let yourself fall into his body.
You felt his hand tighten over your dress so it didn’t move, there was no way anyone was getting a look at you, that wasn’t him- it made you feel warm inside as you made your way out into the now cold night air.
You were set down in the passenger seat, belt bucked securely for you, Simons hand brushing stray hair from your face. The drive home was a daze, one that ended with you being asleep by the time you had pulled into drive way.

First love-C. Caufield
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dad! Cole Caufield x daughter x mom! Reader
In which Cole’s daughter finds love on the playground
Warnings?; slight cursing, protective Cole, small kissing, def some errors so i apologize!
Can be read as a continuation of this but doesn’t have to be!
Cole turned around at the sound of the front door opening, moving away from the kitchen island and stepping into the hall he found you and your four year old taking off your shoes.
“Is that my Rosie girl?” He called out, a large smile taking over his face as her little head snapped up at the sound of his voice, his heart warming as a bright smile took over her face.
“Daddy!” She squealed and quickly took off towards her father, little legs launching herself off the ground and into his arms.
“Hi baby.” He greeted the small girl, placing kisses all over her face causing her contagious giggles to echo throughout the hallway.
He pulled back when he felt your hand on his shoulder, “Hi honey.” He smiled placing a soft kiss on your cheek as he still held his daughter tight in his arms.
He followed behind you as you entered the kitchen, greeting the boys as it was summer and your lake house was packed after a morning session of golf.
“Uncle Alex!” Rosie exclaimed at the sight of the curly haired man, wiggling out of her father’s grip and into the arms of the center.
“Hey cutie, did you have fun at the park?” He asked.
The question caused a small laugh to escape your throat from where you stood making Rosie a sandwich for lunch.
“Why don’t you tell everyone who you met at the park today bug?” You spoke up, a smirk taking over your face.
“Oh! I met the love of my life today!”
You watched as the kitchen turned so silent that you could hear a pin drop, your husband’s face turning pale as his jaw fell open, the faces of your friends matching his.
“I’m sorry? You met who?” Brock was the first to speak up, not liking one bit that his niece just stated she was in love.
“The love of my life duh!, his name was..uh-mommy? What was his name?” The little girl questioned with a confused look on her freckled face.
“Jackson” you reminded her.
“Right! Jackson, we played on the swings, he gave me some of his gold fishies, and then we held hands, and he gave me a hug before we left!” She beamed recalling some of what the two four year olds got up to today.
Cole couldn’t stop himself as he surged forward and scooped his daughter from his friend’s arms, setting the small girl counter he boxed her in with his arms on each side.
“Listen bug..you only played together right? Like swings, running around, going on the slide and stuff you didn’t kiss him after your hug right?” The man asked the four year old so seriously that you would think he was going over contract negotiations.
“Ewww no daddy! That’s only for adults.” She stuck her tongue out at the idea as she shook her head no.
“Good because you know that boys have cuties and that the-“
“Cole!” You scolded the man, slapping his shoulder.
“What?! I don’t want her to think it’s okay to flirt with little dirt balls.” he argued, his arms flaring out.
“He’s right Rosie, boys are gross.” Trevor spoke up from where he rested against the counter.
“But you’re a boy uncle Z, so are you daddy, and uncle Brock, and grandpa, and uncle ale-“
You were the one to cut your daughter off before she could go into naming every boy she’d ever met, “Honey why don’t you go sit at your table and eat your lunch? You can watch some Bluey for a bit while you eat.”
The young girl perked up at the mention of food and a tad bit of screen time, seeing as she didn’t get much iPad time she took what she could get.
Cole helped the small girl off the counter and grabbed her iPad from its spot on the counter before handing it over to you as you two walked out of the kitchen and to her little eating area.
“So you know this means that we have to find this kid and teach him a lesson right? He shouldn’t have even talked to-“ your hand connecting to the back of Jacks head shut him up quickly, looking like a scolded child.
“I know you were not just going to plan beating up a four year old.” You laughed, hands on your hips as you looked at the young man.
“He has a point honey, I mean who was this kid anyway?” Cole spoke up, his stance quickly mirroring yours.
You shook your head at your husband, a laugh breaking free, “He was actually really sweet and I talked with his mom the entire time at the park while they ran around. He picked her flowers and everything, even told her that her freckles were pretty.” You smirked knowing it would piss Cole off even more that the boy went as far as to compliment Rosie.
“He what?!”
“Oh calm down, it was harmless and we even set up a play date for Saturday morning at the park.” You shrugged.
“Well boys, clear your calendars for Saturday morning. We’ve got plans.” Cole spoke up and you could do nothing but shake your head as the kitchen full of grown men agreed with him.
-
When Saturday morning rolled around Cole was packed and ready to go, his Honda odyssey packed and loaded for a morning at the park.
Thankfully you were able to shake the heard of hockey players that originally wanted to join you and it only ended up being you three as you arrived to the park.
Rosie was excited all morning and the night before, ready to see her friend again and to play.
The girls eyes lit up at the sight of Jackson once you made it into the playground, her little hand waving around so fast you were scared it was going to fall off.
“Jackson!” She cheered as she ran towards him for a hug.
“Hi Rosie! I like your shirt.” He greeted, pointing to the trolls characters on her shirt.
“Thank you! I like your hat.” She replied.
“Oh hell no.” Cole grumbled going to step forward but your hand on his arm and stern look in your eyes had him stopping in his tracks.
You greeted Jackson’s mom as the two kids ran off introducing Cole, sitting on a bench you two caught up on your week while Cole’s gaze was locked tight on the kids.
His hand clenching tightly against his yeti every time Jackson’s hand so much as brushed Rosie, but he hid his death stare for the child every time his mom looked over or anytime Rosie did.
After about twenty minutes of running around the two came back for a drink and took off again until Jackson had to go to the bathroom, his mom taking him quickly leaving just you and Cole as Rosie continued to run around.
“See he’s not bad, plus she’s just making friends.” You nudged him.
He grumbled in response, one arm crossing over his chest as he leaned back more into the bench, his quarter-zip tightening around his strong arms as he kept an eye on Rosie.
“She said she was in love.” He pointed out.
“Cole she’s just a kid” you laughed, “She doesn’t know what love means, she just knows that everyone in her life that she has fun with and that makes her laugh she says I love you to.”
The man shook his head in denial, determined to hate the young boy for the way he was making his daughter feel. To him she was his little baby and no boy deserved even a drop of her time, she has all the people she needs.
Cole continued to watch intently for the next hour or so until Jackson and his mom had to get going, you exchanging your goodbye as the kids did the same.
This time however when pulling back, Jackson’s lips landed on Rosie’s cheek but he was quick to run off before anyone had time to react.
“I-did he..did he just kiss her?!?” Cole choked, hundreds of emotions and thoughts running through his mind as he processed what he just witnessed.
Cole was flabbergasted as you broke out into giggles, finger pointed at him as you bent over holding your stomach tightly.
“What are you laughing at?! He kissed her! He put his lips on my babies cheek.” He shook his head, heart racing as he noticed the blush on your daughter’s cheek as she turned back towards you two.
“Your face! It was to good.” You laughed, picking up your bag as you held Rosie’s hand in your larger one.
Cole groaned as he stood as well and led the way to the car, he couldn’t believe the little shit actually had the nerve to kiss his babygirl.
Rosie babbled on as you put her in her car seat, Cole already situated in the drivers seat listening intently as she went on to talk about all the things her and Jackson did.
She continued her rundown as you guys got on the road, telling you about how he held her hand again and kept telling her he really likes her freckles.
“Oh and he asked me to marry him but I told him I had to ask my mommy and daddy first.” The four year old shrugged.
“HE WHAT?!”
