So, I have this CoD fanfictio idea that I have half outlined on paper. It's a body swap AU, where 22 Ghost exchanges with 09 Ghost, and it can be described as: 09 Ghost, after being betrayed by Sheperd wakes up in 22 body sleeping with Soap, he recognises that he is Soap, but doesnt understand why he looks so young, then in the bathroom he has a panic attack when he sees that he isn't himself, but a 6'2" monster with blond hair and dark eyes (the opposite of what he was). Instead 22 Ghost is suddenly thrown in the battlefield basically one minute before Sheperd's betrayal, when Sheperd is about to shoot Roach he is faster and shoots him. 22 Ghost doesn't know that the man he killed was Sheperd (he looks nothing like his Sheperd) and doesn't recognise the soldier he saved, but something in his guts tells him he knew him at some point.

Yes, it is hurt-comfort, yes with time their memories will return, yes they will realoze that they might be lost in another reality, no I don't know how it could be resolved since I need time and it might be that when both the Captain and the Sargent die they switch back :) (no, I want to fix it, so they don't die)

Edit: I'm 2k into writing the first chapter of this and I'm absolutely speedrunning ruining my sleeping schedule by writing this at night (the ideas come better and the creativity is boosted)

Soap and Price meet Splinter, and first thing they do they start instructing him, telling him to put his hands where they can see them, but Splinter is faster and knoks them out.

Beofre loosing conciousness Soap is capable of activating the coms and say «Left tunnel, 700 meters»On the other side, the ones that jave been scared by Ralph hear the message and run towards the place they have been instructed to go, Ghost and Roach are worried for Soap since his voice didn't sound right and it was not only the interference from being underground.

Ralph, who was going in the same direction as them (towards home) doesn't know what to do. Should he swim, arrive faster than them and stop them or go slower and make a mess later? He always liked a bit of blood, so he sticks to following them at an alarmingly short distance. The soldiers are almost running, and he is swimming just a few meters away, in the silence of the water, where his breathing is completly obscured by the sound of the current of the water.

When the three soldiers eneter the side tunnel that goes towards his loar he has to get out of the water aand stay a few steps back, he goes in full ninja mode and gets ready to attack.

Meanwhile the two sergentes and the leutenant at the entrance of what seems an inhabited abandoned subway station are high alert searching for their captains. They take a few steps inside, jump over the barricades and find themselves in what seems like a cozy living room with a TV, random minigames at the sides, a punching bag more hiles than anything and some empty pizza cartons.

Ghost is the first one to speack.«We are going to have to inspect the place, this wasn't in the maps—»Before he could finish his sentence a green, brown and red creature appeared at his nack, scaring Roach again and taking the rest by surprise.

Roach shoots at the thing, while Ghost is trying to free himself from a choking hold.

An enormous hand lands on his face, letting his red-tinted sunglasses fall to the ground and blocking his repiration since it's wet and his nose is squished between the mask, the hand and the thickness of the air down here.

Roach shoots, but the bullet lands on the shell, penetrating only for a few centtimeters before stopping before hitting his organs. The creature screams in pain and uses his other arm to extract a metal obgect. Before he can stab in the heart Ghost, Gaz shootsunnyvibess too and the bullet enters the creature's flesh.

Imagine what if during Shepard’s betrayal, his aim was just a little off from Ghost’s chest, he hits Ghost lower, and the bullet hits his thoracic area, causing paralysis from the waist down

Now Ghost is only helpless to watch Roach burn alongside him, and he’s unable to drag his fellow soldier to safety out of the ditch. At best, he can only drag himself out to safety.

Look, I love every version of big scary animal hybrid simon as the next person, but have we considered sheep hyrbid!simon?

Sheep!simon who is used to people assuming things about him. He's big, a cathedral of a person, so people assume hes got hybrid genes to match. He's heard plenty of guesses, wolf, panther, tiger, bear. He never confirms anything, never denies it either. Its helpful for people to be unaware of his true status, a harsh stigma around prey hybrids and especially domestic ones.

Sheep!simon who hasn't made a hybrid sound in years. Who keeps his hair shorn to the root because if it grows out its into tight coils of blonde that remind him too much of his mother. His mother who he watched suffer each day for being a sheep, and thats the only trait she gave him. He got his eyes, his bulk, his face from his father. But the one thing from his mother? It feels too shameful, too weak to ever accept. It eats at him, but there's nothing he can do.

Sheep!simon who eats alone. He wears a mask anyways, so no one bothers him to eat with them. He finds some secluded nook, and makes quick work of a plate stacked with greens. On the grueling missions, packed too close with others to grab food without someone seeing his plate, simon forces himself to grab meats and a sliver of greens. The vague diet of a predator species. He eats everything, feels too guilty about wasting food not to, and simply ignores the painful twists of his stomach at eating stuff hes really not suited for.

Sheep!simon who feels anxious when hes not in a group, but feels even worse being near people he doesn't trust (everyone). He never truly rests, never relaxes completely as his mind fights with itself. Its exhausting, but hes felt this way since he was small, and has grown apathetic to it.

Just....consider it. (Yapping abt the specific sheep he'd be under the cut.)

Personally I envisioned him to be a kerry hill sheep!

Mostly bc the face markings remind me of his mask lol, but also bc they dont have horns! There's a unique dynamic that comes from ghost being a sheep hybrid that doesn't even have horns to defend himself that I find really compelling....they're also raised primarily for meat, which is another great metaphor or whatever abt ghost being made for the military, designed for slaughter when hes no longer useful....

Seriously. I love 2009 simon riley so much. I love his droopy blue eyes, his cursing, his voice, his youthfulness, his baclava and sunglasses. everything about him screams biker boyfriend. He deserves so much more attention… HIS BLUE EYES ARE SO……. not to mention he looks adorably high. Maybe i’m just a sicko for droopy eyes. HE LOOKS SO TIRED! They remind me of a puppy and i’m not sure if i’m going crazy or what. HE’S JUST SO ADORABLE DAWG I CANT…beefy ghost is cute too, but 09 ghost js gives me the tall handsome, well-built biker boy.
