The rise boys reacting to the reader being sick?
A/n: This was a fun prompt to think about, thanks, Anon!
Word count: 641
Warnings: none
Leo:
- honestly, he's a little bummed, it's hard when he just wants you to feel better but he can't just make you instantly better himself
- but he's good at making sure you're thoroughly entertained - not too bored but nothing too crazy to overstimulate or wear you out
- things like video/card/board games (trash talk included), comics, or a movie/show marathon with sufficient commentary
- funny enough the one thing he remembers is that you should be drinking a lot of fluids so he's constantly reminding you of that or just absent-mindedly passing you something to drink
- that said, he is surprisingly attentive and will constantly be taking care of you in little ways that could easily be overlooked
- he'll make you the comfiest nest out of pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals that neither of you will want to leave
- you'll curl up and take turns rambling back and forth between serious topics and goofy ones until you both fall asleep
Raph:
- this guy's number one priority for you is rest
- so if you enjoy cuddles this might be the best few days or so of your life
- he's pretty well stocked up on medicine and such so he doesn't have to worry about leaving and can just focus on keeping you comfortable
- he's gonna do some really sweet and sappy stuff like keeping your pillows fluffy, reading to you aloud, painting your toes, etc - whatever low-impact activities he can do with you even if you fall asleep during them
- cuddling with him is such a relief no matter what symptoms you have - his shell is cool to the touch, and his skin is warm - so either way, it's soothing
- he'll put on some old mellow records in the background
- sometimes - you don't think he even realizes it - he hums along or laughs and the gentle rumble is comforting
Donnie:
- not gonna lie, he's grossed out by it
- like of course he cares, so he's gonna try his best to help you get better quickly and all
- but it can tend to be more of an interrogation when he's checking to see if you're doing literally every single thing possible to feel better
- his brothers gently remind him that maybe right now you just need someone to take care of you
- after that he really tries to set aside other things and focus on tending to you, being as patient as possible and withholding forcing you to test every possible cure
- this in itself, Donnie slowing down and giving you this special attention, is worth feeling miserable for
- you encourage him that he does actually have a good bedside manner, and he wants to live up to it
- he'll do a little well-being check every so often and adjust his "treatment" accordingly
- by far your favorite of the cures is cuddles though
Mikey:
- he's got a cure for everything
- sore throat? he's got a soup for that
- headache? he'll make you the best herbal cooling wrap for your forehead
- an upset stomach? he's got a tea that'll make that disappear instantly
- you do have to be careful what you say because if you make any sign of discomfort he's gonna hop right up and have to fix it
- but on the plus side, you'll barely be sick for very long at all
- he'll make a pillow fort out of blankets and fairy lights for you to have a quiet space
- Donnie calls it quarantine
- he'll get you flowers, your favorite plus whatever will help you feel better
- he's also a master masseur, so those aches and pains have nothing against Mikey and his mystic hands

Paring: ( COMIC ) Mr. Knight x AFAB reader
Warning: porn with no plot, smut, Mr. Knights gloves, mdom/fsub dynamic, crying during sex, rough sex, unprotected, dirty talk, biting, use of, " baby/baby girl " ( 641 words )
Notes: tiny drabble. THIS IS COMIC MR. KNIGHT, SO THIS IS NOT STEVEN, THIS IS MARC. We need more comic MK smut, so I'm trying to make that happen. Im reading the midnight mission rn and I'm like.. so down bad for Mr. Knight rn I think I'm going crazy.
Tumblr media
He wore white leather gloves. White leather gloves that would go onto his large hands that'd be circling around your swollen clit at the very end of his day when he needed you most. He would keep his clothes on, only sliding his pants down so he could enter you. He'd have you on his lap, your back against his his chest as his rammed into you and kept his face into the crook of your neck. He had his mask pulled halfway up to his nose so that he could kiss you when he wanted to.
This wasn't what he usually did after a long night of kicking people's ass, but he needed to blow off some steam. But you guessed he was getting bored of the same ol' same ol' because he pulled out and flipped you over on your back on the blue sofa in his office. He sat down on his knees and re-entered you, his thrusts starting out more aggressive than they were before.
" I hope you're proud of yourself. " he grunted, running his gloved hands smoothly down your thigh, lifting it and planting a tender kiss on it before biting down on your skin. You winced at the contact, legs shaking from the previous 2 rounds he had gone on you.
" You have very simple rules; don't bug me when I'm working. But you just had to come here, begging me for my attention, huh? " He said with a chuckle, grasping your breast and twirling your nipple around his thumb. Your eyes were watery and your nose was burning. Nothing left your throat but endless cries and pathetic moans. You felt weak under his control. He had you wrapped around his finger, but even though it was hell you weren't letting go.
" Looks like someone needs better training, hmm? " He chuckled darkly, pulling you closer and wrapping a hand around your neck. You let out a choked cry, and a cold tear ran down your cheek as his speed seemingly increased.
Mr. Knight enjoyed this position because he could see your face. He could see how you reacted when he touched you and could see the marks he left on you. In this instance, the torn pantyhose and wet thighs, the bite marks and the scratch marks. He brought his gloved thumb up to your lips, playing with them as they foamed out drool down the side of your face.
" Poor baby girl. can't even handle 3 rounds. You close? hmm? " He cooed, using his free hand to grasp your thigh as he felt you tightly clench around him. You could feel the muscles contract in your sex. This was your signal. Mr. Knight took the cue and slammed in as fast as he could, making you squeal and buck against him in anticipation.
" Mr.. Kni-- "
" Shut it. I don't want to hear anything from you right now. " He said angrily, putting his hand over your mouth and muffling your moans of pure pleasure. " all you need to do right now is cum for me like the good little girl you are. " He whispered, leaning down to kiss and bite on your collarbone. He sucked at the skin he bit, and you let out a tiny scream as you felt your release rising. Your pussy clenched around his cock as he fucked through your walls, signaling him you were close. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head, your body convulsing around his every touch.
" c'mon, baby. come for me one final time. " he panted, giving you his final thrusts before you lost control and began leaking around his cock. Soonly after yours, he spilled his hot spend into your warm cunt and pulled you.
" I hope you learned your fucking lesson. "

As the knower of all things Batman Comics - any chance you’d be willing to give a rough timeline of Jason coming back to Gotham and what he does? I know about all these events - the fight at Titan’s Tower, him confronting Batman with Joker, him shooting Dick, taking over Crime Alley - but I don’t know what order they happen I ?? Are there important things to his return timeline that aren’t in that list? I can’t figure out where to find the relevant comics (or even which comics are the relevant ones). :(
(Alright so I'm gonna base these on publication date and hope there wasn't too much time-wonkiness making it so that some events were before or after certain other events in spite of the dates and all that)
1. Jason returns to Gotham — It's unclear exactly when this happens, but I want to say it's roughly 4-4.5 years after his death.
2. Jason confronts Bruce and slices Tim's throat before "revealing" it was actually Clayface the entire time (no it wasn't) — Hush was published from Oct 2002 - Sept 2003, so the time between that and the 2004 Under the Hood storyline I assume to be anywhere from six months to a year. Comics are confusing.
Tumblr media
Batman #618
3. Stephanie Brown "dies" in War Games (Oct 2004 - Jan 2005).
Tumblr media
Batman #633
4. The Red Hood appears in Gotham — There is no official source for this, but we can assume that Jason has made at least a few appearances at Red Hood pre-Batman #635 while planning his takeover of the city and showdown with Batman.
* I should also mention that Dick is still recovering from a leg wound when the Under the Hood storyline begins, as well as recovering from the traumatic event of Tarantula killing Blockbuster, which is a big part of the reason why Dick is in Gotham at this time and around to help Bruce when the Red Hood surfaces. That, and the fact that War Games just took place and they lost Stephanie. Jason picked a really stressful time to start his Gotham takeover lmao.
5. Jason kicks Bruce out of his own company and takes control of all his toys lmao (Dec 29, 2004).
Tumblr media
Batman #635
6. Jason takes control of Gotham's gangs (Dec 29, 2004) — This is the first official appearance of the Red Hood that we see. This is the event that swiftly puts him in the spotlight as Gotham's newest and potentially most dangerous criminal. (This is also where all the "eight heads in a duffle bag" jokes come from.)
Tumblr media
Batman #635
7. Jason reveals that he is Red Hood (June 22, 2005) — Bruce finds out the Red Hood is Jason and is given the evidence to prove it. We can assume that the other Bats (Dick, Barbara, Tim, etc) are informed shortly after this encounter, if only for their own safety than Bruce's generous decision to keep them in the loop for once.
Tumblr media
Batman #641
8. Jason attacks Tim at Titans Tower (Nov 9, 2005) — Jason takes a brief break from fucking around in Gotham to go beat up his kid brother in ugly orange leggings. Then he returns to Gotham to mess with Bruce and Black Mask some more.
Tumblr media
Teen Titans (2003) #29
9. Bludhaven gets nuked (supposedly killing Dick at first, but we all know he's fine). — This particular comic showing the event was published on Jan 26, 2005, eight days after it was first shown in Infinite Crisis #4. This information doesn't really matter that much, but it makes me sound smart.
Tumblr media
Batman #649
10. The infamous Jason/Joker/Bruce showdown happens (Feb 22, 2006).
Tumblr media
Batman #650
11. Jason disappears, then resurfaces after a year or so to cosplay as his big brother (April 12, 2006) — Jason lies low for a long while after that final confrontation with Bruce until the One Year Later event has passed, skipping us forward a year in time. Dick returns to Bludhaven to find Jason having lost his marbles, acting as a murderous version of Nightwing and being a general nuisance to everyone <3
Tumblr media
Nightwing (1996) #119

Honestly I'll confess I've never understood why people claim Battle for the Cowl Jason is OOC when he uses pretty much the exact same rhetoric as Batman: Under the Red Hood Jason (which many fans regard as IC)
Tumblr media
batman 641
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Battle for the Cowl #2
like either way: Gotham is evil and must be controlled through violence, fear is ineffective as a tool so you have to kill people
IG most people don't like that he shoots Damian to distract Dick, but that's p much the only thing that really could be argued as going against his previous rhetoric, if you put a lot of stock in "no selling drugs to kids" line. but he also has been shown in other comics under winick to be willing to kidnap teenagers (Mia) and in other comics at the time to be willing to fight them and beat them up (Tim). and he's shown to be willing to kill people before giving them a chance to change and follow his rules (link). Him being willing to shoot Damian to distract Dick honestly just feels pretty consistent to all of this, and the version where he would be immediately protective of him or empathetic seems like more fanon-oriented retcons or going off new 52 continuity, which wasn't in effect here yet.
IG the most OOC thing I'd say is probably trying to explain Jason's motives as one traumatic unidentified event that happened before his death, which is done via Bruce's recordings. Jason just being an angry kid who was always down the path to becoming Red Hood is also present in Winick's telling of UtRH, which I also don't like because I don't like the Robin retcons, but in terms of his actions as an adult I don't see much that is very different from his other actions as Red Hood under books that are regarded as IC.

The Old Guard Timeline
Rounding, my guess at the timeline for our immortals would look something like below. I added the ‘estimated’ notation when specific dates weren’t referenced in the comics or movie. When ages of the immortals at first death isn’t referenced, I default to 30 years old.:
4710 BCE Andy is born. In the comics, Andy states she is 6732, so give or take some years there for publishing and calendar changes.
4680 BCE Andy becomes immortal (estimated)
1362 BCE Quynh is born (estimated)
1332 BCE Quynh becomes immortal and Andy starts dreaming of her.  (estimated) In the comics, Andy states she dreamed of Quynh 1,000 years before meeting Lykon in 332 BCE
1332-332 BCE In the movies: It is insinuated Andy and Quynh are the first to meet. Specific dates aren’t referenced and I’m not as much of a clothing expert to try and guess.
362 BCE Lykon is born (estimated)
332 BCE Lykon becomes immortal and meets Andy at Alexander the Great’s siege of Judea/Gaza
641 CE In the comics: Andy and Quynh meet at Amir bin al-As’s siege of the Byzantine Empire at Alexandria . Lykon isn’t there and they all meet up soon after, though for them soon could be years.
1066 CE Joe is born
1069 CE Nicky is born
1099 CE Joe & Nicky become immortal during the First Crusade
1332-1574 CE Lykon dies. In the comic it states Andy and Lykon traveled together for 2000 years and he died in the renaissance era. In the movie: Joe & Nicky aren’t in the scene where Lykon dies but they talk like they knew him. Given the date of his death, they would have at least dreamed of him.
1575-1650 CE In the Movies: They don’t state exactly when Quynh is lost at sea but widespread witch trials in England occurred between the the late 16th century to the mid 17th century. There are earlier trials in the Middle Ages, though not as common or well documented, and more often for political reasons. The last execution for witchcraft in England was in 1716. In the comics: Quynh is lost at sea, though not in an iron maiden for witchcraft. They are sailing and there is a storm. Joe & Nicky are there but Booker isn’t and a date isn’t specifically mentioned.
1770 CE Booker is born
1812 CE Booker becomes immortal during Napoleon’s invasion of Russia
1994 CE Nile is born
2019 CE Nile becomes immortal (estimated) and meets the gang
*BCE= Before the Common Era, equivalent to BC (Before Christ)
*CE= Common Era, equivalent to AD (Anno Domini meaning ‘the year of our Lord’, colloquially referred to as After Death)

Can you do a meta post on all the times Bruce has called Dick and the Robins (especially Jason) his ‘soldiers’? From my understanding, while the term was used mainly once in the classic ‘Bruce Wayne loses the Guardianship of Dick Grayson’, it wasn’t until Miller’s input of it in Dark Knight Returns then it became sort of mainstream, a usual suspect of doing so being Chuck Dixon?
I'm not sure I know a lot that you don't. Except to the best of my knowledge, Alan Grant was probably the one who started the trend more than Chuck Dixon – following Frank Miller's lead.
Tumblr media
The first time I can remember is, as you say, Batman # 20 (Loses the guardianship).
Tumblr media
Robin Year One (2001) revisits Dick's first time as Robin, and Bruce uses "soldier" in quite another way. (Written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty)
Tumblr media
Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns happened in 1986, and he talked about how Jason was a good soldier, before Jason was killed in the main universe (1988). So he's probably the first to use the word like that.
Jason's memorial has been seen both with and without the text A good soldier. Here's two panels with the inscription, from the same story arc written by Alan Grant. It's about how Tim is grappling with feeling worthy to be Robin, kind of. I think that's the first time we see the inscription, but I could be wrong.
Tumblr media
Detective Comics # 618 (1990)
Tumblr media
Batman vol 1 # 456 (1990)
Tumblr media
In Batman vol 1 # 641 (2005, writer Judd Winick), Batman thinks about his dead soldiers.
Tumblr media
And then in Batman and Robin Eternal # 22. Bruce explicitly says to Damian he never made a soldier (2016, writers James Tynion IV, Scott Snyder, Genevieve Valentine)
Tumblr media
but in Batman vol 3 # 126 (writer Chip Zdarsky, 2022), Batman narrates "my soldiers come out", and it's about more people than the Robins.
I'm sure there are other examples (I don't follow Jason Todd comics, there's probably more to find there) but this is what I can find/remember right now.
