Slightly Crack Batfam AU

Duke, shortly after being adopted, finds an old demon summoning circle burned into the floor under a rug in one of the rooms.

That, combined with some of the literature he finds laying around, leads him to conclude that someone in his new family is secretly a demon and he starts trying to figure out who.

Could it be Bruce, the literal demon of the night?

Dick, who bends and flips effortlessly in ways no normal human could?

Jason seems the most likely, as he climbed out of his own grave, but to be fair, he'd never actually seen Tim sleep.

And then there was Damian.

He never would have guessed that the demon is actually Alfred, summoned by a desperate, distraught Bruce the night of his parents' deaths.

Originally, their deal was just for Alfred to help Bruce get his revenge.

The reason he stuck around, though?

He realized he needed to make sure that Bruce and his collection of equally crazy orphans stayed OUT of the afterlife (and therefore AWAY from the throne of hell, which he has no doubt someone would eventually take) and decided to stay on as their oddly perfect butler.

If you ever wondered what the best living vertebrate is, it’s the alligator gar in my totally not biased 100% scientifically backed opinion. They are just a flawless creature. Nothing wrong with them. Good tooth to snoot ratio, they have a winning smile.

They and other monster fish absolutely should NOT be in the hands of most private keepers at all and I do NOT support morph breeding of them because of that, but pretty fishy cute :c

Yesterday, I warmed up by finishing what I'd started several months ago. Yesterday was a surprisingly creative day - I know I've said that a few times now, but I think the "juice" is back. Just when I need to keep my mind occupied so as not to think about the bad things.

I've kind of forgotten what the original impetus for this drawing was, but I'm pretty sure there's a reference to Tobias talking about worms.

I'm finally done

The 3.74 meter reticulated python is finally finished, I am extremely proud, I feel like a peacock

There were probably more than a thousand pieces and I still have a 2.5 meter burmese degreasing and two other snakes in the freezer waiting to be cleaned and articulated

Day of the Dead pokemons, they were made 2 years ago but I decided to finally finish them this year, they are inspired by several elements from the "Dia de Muertos" celebration

ZUKALAKA is based on the "Calaveras de Azucar"

PANDEMORT is based on "Pan de Muerto" in some of its more traditional forms

COMPARKA is based on the floats for the "Dia de Muertos" parade

And all of them carry elements from the traditional altars, like "papel picado" and candles

Super cool docent cart at the San Francisco Zoo today! This Nile hippopotamus was a previous zoo resident and his skull is now helping educate guests.

I’ve never see a hippo skull irl, much less gotten to touch their ivory, so I spent a ton of time talking with them. I’ve been super impressed with all the docents I’ve encountered here!
