About Grim :

Grim gives you login rewards during the Anniversary period, and you get “Bonus Item Drops” during Lessons.

Grim SR Ceremonial Robes is available for free when playing the Anniversary Event Story, you will get the Limited Card to start levelling him up after the Chapter.1 then you will get the permanent card after having collected 500 Yellow Tuna Cans and finished the Chapter.2, and you can Groooovy him after the 18th.

previous years Grim SRs (regular and Lab Coat) are available at Sam’s Shop,

Grim SR needs Yellow Tuna Cans this year (you obtain them during Lessons), to level up his Magic Spells, previous years Tuna Cans are available at Sam’s Shop,

About the Mirror Gacha Banners :

we get 2 times (event start, 16.Mar and 18.Mar) a special free 10-pulls on the Permanent Banner, woohoo! This banner can only be used during the Event so MAKE SURE TO USE YOUR 10-KEYS THERE. Also this banner accumulates pulls you made on the Permanent Banner before the Anniversary and extra pulls you do on all Dorm SSRs (see below) so it’s quicker to get to the 100th-guaranteed SSR.

the Anniversary Banner features all Dorm SSRs including Malleus (but his Drop Rate is better on hid dedicated banner if you want him) and each pull gives you a 3-medal to exchange at the Shop,

Also Sam’s Shop got a relooking, there is a new kind of 200th-guaranteed-SSR gauge for Characters and Event Banners, and the GuestRoom has a couple new functions such as giving out the keys to your preferred characters and crafting the Card CGs (regular and Groooovy) of the SSRs you own more than once (with duplicates of Perfumes).

Another new feature for SSR cards is a 3rd Magic Spell unlocking at the 3rd time you maxed them (with duplicates or perfumes).

Masquerade SSR Card Analysis

Because Azul is one of the SSRs of this event, and Idia and Malleus look gorgeous as well, I made this card analysis. Hopefully this helps you out as well. Please take note of the reminder of card analysis requests in the Club Cater post. ~ 🐙 Updated as of 11/5/22

Masquerade Azul

Type: Balanced

Max Stats at Lv.80 [GROOVY]

Masquerade Azul is a Water/Flora Balanced SSR with a 3-turn ATK UP M. Already, the makes him more offense oriented than defense. Since his M2 has advantage over his M1, he works really well in Water Basic. Masquerade Azul is similar to Portfest Jack, a fellow Balanced SSR with a 3-turn ATK UP M. Unlike Jack, Azul's duo partner, Jamil, has no cards that boost the ally's attack, so he doesn't get to have additional boosts that makes him even more powerful. Nevertheless, this doesn't undermine Azul's power. Assuming Lv.100 groovy, maxed buddies, and advantage, Azul's duo magic can deal approximately 9.7k~ damage per hit and dealing around 29-30k~ damage in total. It's almost as strong as Dorm Riddle's duo at Lv.100, so Azul is quite strong. Jamil has many cards that pair well with Azul in this test, with Birthday Jamil (Flora/Water), Union Jamil (Water/Flora), Robe Jamil (Flora/Water), Chef Jamil (Water/Flora), and Masquerade Jamil (Flora/Flora) as your many options. Birthday and Union Jamil are SSRs and have duo magic. Robe Jamil is a strong Attack SR, and Chef Jamil is an Attack SR with Azul as his ATK S buddy. Meanwhile, Masquerade Jamil is double Flora with Azul as his ATK M buddy. It's worth noting that if you choose Birthday Jamil, you can add in Union Riddle (Cosmic/Flora) to the team, who has Azul as his duo partner and ATK buddy. Camp Ruggie (Water/Flora) is your best choice to boost Azul's ATK due to his power. If you don't have him, Lab Ruggie (Fire/Water) is a good substitute and also has Jamil as his ATK buddy. As a bonus, Azul has Leona as a buddy, even if only HP buddy, so if your team needs an extra boost in HP for survival, you can add in Dorm Leona (Flora/Flora). Overall, Masquerade Azul may be mainly useful in just Water Basic, but he has great buddy synergy and packs a punch. He's worth investing on, especially if you're seeking to increase your Water score.

Masquerade Idia is a double Water Defense SSR with ATK DOWN L. ATK DOWN L cuts half of the damage an opponent inflicts on your team in a turn, which is a very significant debuff. Already, this makes him excellent for a Fire Defense test. However, it's worth noting that Apple Boa Epel (Water/Cosmic) has him as his duo partner, meaning that both of them can be a duo pair for a Basic test. Idia and Apple Boa Epel can be paired together in Fire Basic. One powerful team they can be in is with Dorm Kalim (Water/Cosmic), Dorm Jamil (Cosmic/Fire), and Dorm Ortho (Fire/Water), with Kalim boosting Idia's ATK (and Epel's) and Ortho getting ATK boost from Idia. Idia's buddies have cards that suit Fire Defense. Dorm Deuce (Cosmic/Water) is a Defense SSR whose duo partner is Ace, meaning that you can bring in Lab Ace in the team as well. Meanwhile, Dorm Epel (Water/Fire) is a Defense SSR who has a heal & ATK DOWN S. If you don't have him, Lab Epel (Cosmic/Water) is a great substitute, as he is a Defense card with two ATK DOWN debuffs. If you need more damage to kill the enemy by T5, New Year Kalim (Water/Flora) is useful since his Water magic contains a Continuous heal, but beware of his M2.

A common strategy in Fire Defense is to use Dorm Azul (Water/Water) together with Lab Idia, another double Water card. Dorm Trey (Water/Flora) is also commonly paired with Idia in this test. By replacing Lab Idia, a Balanced card with buffs, with Masquerade Idia, you not only retain two Water magic in your team, but the overall HP of your team will definitely increase. Not counting heals, Dorm Azul + Dorm Trey + Lab Idia (all at MLB) has approximately 37,831 HP while Dorm Azul + Dorm Trey + Masquerade Idia at MLB has approximately 41,042 HP. Overall, Masquerade Idia is a very good card for Fire Defense, with really good buddies and excellent synergy with other powerful cards. He is also useful in Basic tests when paired with Apple Boa Epel. He is an excellent card worth prioritizing your books for.

Masquerade Malleus is a Flora/Fire Defense SSR with a heal, making him most suitable for Defense tests, in particular, Flora. At Lv.100 maxed magic, he can heal 7,718 HP, which makes him the 4th highest healer among all cards, after New Year Kalim, Beans Floyd, and Uniform Rook. Among all the cards, Malleus has the 9th highest HP value, so he can add a lot of HP to your team. Malleus' HP buddies have cards that do very well in this test. Union Vil (Fire/Flora) is the best Vil card for this test, as he is a Defense card that has Jade and Trey as HP buddies. Having Union Vil allows you to bring in the Dorm Trey-Cater duo, which is always a solid duo to have in nearly all Defense tests. If you don't have Union Vil, Beans Vil (Fire/Flora) works well as a Defense card with ATK DOWN M. Beans Vil also pairs really well with Beans Floyd, who has a heal and HP buddy with Jade. For Jade, Beans Jade (Fire/Flora) is the best option due to being a Defense card with a heal. You may also opt to use Birthday Jade (Flora/Fire), as he's a Balanced card with Vil as an HP buddy. Finally, if you need more damage to kill the enemy on T5, Apple Boa Sebek (Flora/Fire) and Masquerade Sebek (Cosmic/Fire) are great cards to pair with Malleus in this test. Apple Boa Sebek is a Defense card with two Shields and a HP S buddy with Jade. Masquerade Sebek, on the other hand, has higher HP and has Malleus as his HP M buddy. It is also worth noting that Malleus and Halloween Silver (Fire/Fire), another great card for this test, share Sebek as a common buddy, so you can add in Silver to the team. To sum it up, Masquerade Malleus is mainly suited for Flora Defense, but his relatively high HP, heal, and buddy synergy makes him very useful. He's worth upgrading, all the more if you're aiming for a high Flora score.

Floyd's unique magic/signature spell shows us that he's a very protective person. Not only of himself, but (without going into spoilers) others. His action speak as loud as his words, and both say that he is full of love, and more quietly, concern for others (checking to see if you're having as much fun as he is, offering to help Ace and Deuce with colour magic, becoming fearful that Jade might have accidently hurt himself with his mushrooms, ect.). He also gets genuinely excited when people aren't afraid of him (re: union birthday).

All of this points to one very clear way that he could overblot: Someone he is very close to getting direly hurt in a way he could have directly prevented.

Now let's do a bit of an imagine, to paint a picture of how this might turn out:

Jade wasn't waking up. He was breathing, and his heart was beating, and you could mistake him for just sleeping, if it wasn't for the blood smeared across his face. Floyd hadn't been quick enough. If he had just been a little less lazy, like everyone told him he was, maybe Jade wouldn't be unconscious and bleeding in his arms. Magic shots ricocheted away from him, too many for him to count. Dark liquid started to pour from him as his magestone was overwhelmed. The voices of his parents clattered around his head, his mother's worried voice, his father asking him to protect those closest to him since he was strong. Floyd curled forward, holding his twin tightly.

"I wish I was able to protect you from everything" was the last thought he had before he blacked out.

Jade: Shock (to) the Heart

Jade is insecure and untrusting at the best of times. Addicted to praise, but he will only accept it if the person giving it doesn't know it's him. He expects everyone to lie to his face and to want to use him and leave him behind. He feels like he MUST make himself indispensable or he will be thrown out and abandoned. Shock the heart allows him, even if for just a moment, to alleviate his fears, to get good, honest, clarity, even if it's not what he WANTS to hear. He is a closed book, but wants to be able to read everyone else.

That's why I think there's a clear way that he could have a mental breakdown on a magnitude that could lead him to overblotting: Someone forces him to open up and reveal something about himself that he wants to keep secret.

Now you may be thinking to yourself "who could even do that to this slippery eel man?" Trey. Trey could. Trey not only has the ability to with doodle suit/paint the roses, but he is powerful though to as well- for the love of all that is good, he managed to take "off with your head" from Riddle WHILE he was overblotting AND had control over all of the students in Heartslayble. Add on the feeling of betrayal Jade would feel from Trey using Shock the Heart on HIM, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

Chapter 1

Heartslabyul Dorm - Birthday Party Venue

Trey: It's finally my turn, huh.... For the birthday interview. I wonder who did the Magical Dice choose as the presenter. I would be grateful if the chosen person isn't someone who is too over the top

???: Ummm... Excuse me.

Epel: Happy Birthday, Trey. I'm your presenter, Epel Felmier.

Trey: Ohh, thank goodness. So Epel got chosen as the presenter for my birthday. I will be in you care today.

Epel: You're welcome. This is... your present. I hope you accept it.

Trey: Thank you. Then, let's open it right away. Oh, it's a black cap with lots of patches and embroidery. That’s kinda fancy. Though I wonder why there's a bright red apple patch on it... Don't you think it's a bit too flashy for me?

Epel: It's not like that... at al! You have a good few feets tall so it would definitely look good on you! [TL notes: Epel used a word to describe heights usually meant for buildings. I think it might be part of the characteristic that he sometimes leak out his dialect.] Trey: Few feets tall? I'm sure Epel usually talks politely in a gentle manner... I might have misheard that. Epel: I was looking for your present at the street near the foothill with a friend the other day. And then Deuce lead me to this shop that had really cool products!

Trey: Ohh, so Deuce also help picked the present.

Epel: Yes! Deuce told me that you really like hats. The hat with spiky studs and the hat with flaming motifs embroidery were shortlisted as your gifts but...The price were over the budget when I looked at it closer...

Trey: I-is that so.... It's kind of surprising that you chose a hat with spiky studs and a hat with flaming motifs embroidery... Anyways, the fact that you've chosen this is because you think it suits me. It was hard trying to pick a present for a third year when you don't know their interest, not to mention someone from another dorm, right? Thank you for taking your time to choose a present for me. I usually dress in casual wear, so this cap will give a nice touch in accent.

Epel: Fufu. I figured that it would fit well as an accent colour for Heartslabyul's Union Jacket!

Trey: I see.... Then I shall wear this cap and enjoy the whole day.

Epel: Sweet! You look super cool in it! It gives off a bad boy vibes on you!!

Trey: Bad boy vibes...?? Haha... Thanks. *whispers* Is he praising me...?

Chapter 2

Epel: Well, we'll move on to the interview next. The first question is.... If you were to bring along one person to a deserted island, who would it be? However, you cannot choose someone of the same dorm... it seems.

Trey: A deserted island huh... I did go camping with my family when I was back home... I have no confidence in my survival skills since I'm born and bred in the Kingdom of Rose. I would choose someone with a lot of survival experience and who can cooperate easily with me.

Epel: Someone who can cooperate easily... So do you mean... someone who is serious and doesn't have a bad personality?

Trey: That's not always the case. There are people that is difficult in reaching a mutual understanding even when they have a great personality, right? That's why I would rather pick someone who is easy to talk to and is able to laugh and brush off their partner's mistakes. So taking into consideration of all these points.... I would probably choose Rook.

Epel: Ehhh, Rook?!?!

Trey: Yeah, we're part of the Science club together. We're both vice dorm leaders too so we have a lot in common.

Epel: Then... You do know that Rook is somewhat of a weird guy right? You could have chose someone else...

Trey: Haha, you're so harsh. Well, it is true that he always act beyond my imagination. A while ago when we were making dishes with the produce we grew from the Science Club... Rook dumped a whole pile of leaves which were usually unsuitable for consumption into the pot. That really shocked me.

Epel: He cooked a ton of inedible leaves?! H-how was it...?

Trey: Oh, the leaves are actually harmless, it's just that they taste sort of bitter. What surprised me is that it actually brought the dish to a new a depth in flavour. Trey: According to Rook, apparently if you cook them together with meat, it will remove its odor and bring out a rich flavour of the dish. He usually shares these sort of knowledge with me on a daily basis. Don't you think he's the best person to bring for a survival trip?

Epel: Now that you put it in this way... Maybe it's just as you said...?

Trey: Right? He's also the type of person who would never think about tricking nor exploiting others. Just as I said earlier, I'm not equipped with the right survival skills, I can only do normal people things, you know? I'll leave Rook to make a breakthrough in escaping while I will be responsible for being the support in order to survive the deserted island. Besides edible plants, there is a good chance that Rook will bring back nutritious meat for us.

Epel: Meat is indeed important. After hearing about your account with Rook, somehow Rook seems a bit more dependable now... I think? Trey: I'm glad to help improve Rook's image. It's true that he stands out alot due to his outlandish behaviours. When the time calls for it, he's actually someone you can rely on. Epel: Fufu. I see!

Chapter 3

Epel: Alright, I will go onto the next question. If you were to join a dorm aside from Heartslabyul, which dorm would you choose?

Trey: A dorm aside from Heartslabyul huh...That's something that never crossed my mind.

Epel: Eh, for real?! Isn't your dorm full of weird- I mean, strict rules? Trey: Well, the mirror chose to put me in my dorm. Besides, no matter which dorm I join, there are hardships in the form of another. Epel: Hmmm, you're right...

Trey: But if I were to choose. Let's see.... First of all, I would not join Savanaclaw. Epel: Eh, even though it's cool and wild?! Since you’ve got a great build (he thicc), you'll look great in their dorm uniforms, I'm envious. Trey: You're actually interested in joining Savanaclaw? That's nice, I cannot picture myself in it though. Doesn't Savanaclaw values true/raw ability? I'm really bad at these sorts of competition. Well, that's why my answer would be Octavinelle dorm. Epel: Vil said that Octavinelle dorm members are cunning and untrustworthy. According to Ace and Deuce, you're a kind person that looks after others...I think that you probably don't fit well into Octavinelle dorm?

Trey: Those two... What have they been saying behind someone's back. I'm happy that you think of me this way, but I'm not that nice of a guy, you know. The reason why I chose Octavinelle is no more than convenience.

Epel: What do you mean by that...?

Trey: Octavinelle values individualism. I'm under the impression that as long as their members take responsibility of their own work, all's good. If I can show my confectionary making skills in Mostro Lounge, I can secure a position in Octavinelle in no time. Epel: Now you mentioned it, you're in charge of making tea party sweets in Heartslabyul right? Trey: Yes. By the way, Octavinelle is different than Heartslabyul in a sense that there is a menu to follow with no other complicated rules. Another attractive point is that I can make sweets using seasonal fruits without considering the detailed rules set by the law. According to the Queen's laws, there are many things that can affect the menu, such as the day of the week, the weather, the hedgehogs and the behaviour of a cat... Epel: The day of the week and the weather can affect the menu?! It sounds like being a Heartslabyul dorm member is really tough... Trey: That's not always the case. It's easier to have certain things set in place than to be told that one is free to decide on anything. For example... If someone asked what would they like to eat. And got a response that anything is fine. Don't you think that the person will be troubled by it?

Epel: I think I kind of understand that...

Trey: Even if the rules are nonsense, as long as the peace in Heartslabyul is bound by the rules. Therefore my personality fits into Heartslabyul better. With that, the interview comes to an end right? The next thing will be...

Epel: Yes! It's time to present the long awaited "Gift of good fortune"!

Trey: You're really pumped, huh... Please hold back a little, Epel.

Epel: I will put my heart and soul with all my might and fulfill my greatest role as a presenter! Trey, are you sure you don't want to take of your glasses?

Trey: Hey, hey....Don't tell me you plan to throw with a force enough to do something to my frames, do you? I could tell from the conversation with Epel... that he is truly a Night Raven College student. I can't avoid this. I'll just have to get over with it. Fine, come right at me.

Epel: Well then, there I go. Happy Birthday, Trey!

Evie

"What's this all about, August?" I asked as I got more comfortable in his leather seats

He switched lanes and looked over at me "Your birthday is during the trip, I wanted to make sure we got to hang out before we go." He said

"We have like two weeks before the trip, boo." I reminded

"I'm sorry, love." He smiled at me apologetically "I'm not trying to say that you're not important but I pissed off a really important person in my life and I got a lot of making up to do, so my schedule looking kind of tight." He said

I rolled my eyes. August was as single as a dollar bill, so I'm not sure who in his life could be so important that they're taking up so much time.

It was probably a family member and it that case I couldn't be upset because, in reality, I would be spending my actually birthday with him.

"I don't see why you need to take me home, though." I said

"You need to change into something sexy for me." He winked at me playfully before turning down my street

I chuckled and shook my hand.

I've never had a friend like August or Sean before. They were men who honestly just wanted to be my friend. August and I would always play around but I knew it was nothing serious.

It was hard to find men out here like them and I didn't plan on letting either go anytime soon.

"Whatever, I'm going to run in really quick and freshen up you wanna come up or stay here?" I asked

"Of course, I'm thirsty as hell. Being your personal chauffeur ain't easy."

"Nigga you offered to pick me up for work." I reminded

"'Cuz that's what day ones do when they nigga birthday coming up!" He said parking behind my car

Laughing, we got out and walked up my driveway and onto my porch. I pushed my key into the door, unlocked it and took a step inside. The lights immediately switched on.

"SURPRISE!"

I jumped a little and looked around at all the familiar faces "You guys. You’re gonna make me cry." I said in a whiney tone "And you, how could you!" I said pushing August

He only laughed "You know I had to get that ass one time." He said

"You didn't think I was gonna make you leave without all of us turning up for your birthday, did you?" Tish said

"And I brought your favorite drink." Sean said with a bottle of henny in one hand and Tish in the other

Me, Sean and alcohol didn't mix well. Nigga always tryna keep me turnt.

I was surprised to see that even Ashton was here.

"Happy early birthday." He said giving me a quick hug

"Thanks." I said

Our encounter was short and awkward. I quickly escaped to mingle with my other friends.

"Happy birthday, baby." I was turned around ready to see what this boy wanted only to be grabbed by the waist and kissed prompting a round of "oohs" echoed through my living room.

"Aaron!" I pulled away from him and smacked his chest

He winked at me and gave my waist a squeeze,

"See, now that I'm actually seeing y'all together... I bet you two would make some cute ass babies." Tish said with a nod

"Listen to your home girl." Aaron laughed as he dodged my smack

I shook my head with a slight laugh "Don't give him any ideas." I warned

I caught eyes with Ashton and that plunged my spirits. His face didn't hold the expression I expected, which was anger or at least hurt, it was the total opposite. He was actually laughing it up with Sean not paying Aaron and I any attention.

"Fuck him, sis." Tish said for only me to hear

I nodded as I watched Ashton interrupt the conversation Aaron was having with Jesse. My eyes never left the two brothers as they walked out my front door.

I think god put these two in my life to flip my world upside down.

August

"So what's been up with you nigga, we haven't seen much of you lately." Sean asked as he sat behind his desk, slouching back in his chair.

I chuckled because for once this nigga was actually right. I've been so busy with being in and out of court along with shit happening on the home front.

I was young and focused, I knew what I wanted in life and I’m just trying to get it, along with taking care of my family. Majority of the time I was out battling these court cases and legal woes of this company.

We're a major company and with that comes liabilities, law suits and a bunch of other unnecessary bullshit. But, I get that shit right together.

Being the youngest lawyer in the Aston Martin company, a lot of other companies took me for a joke until I walk in that bitch and make them eat their words.

I can honestly say, I was that nigga.

"Yeah, just been doing a lot of shit. Home front issues, along with people who wanna sue us for no damn reason." I told him, chuckling a bit.

"I hear that shit; it's been fucking crazy as fuck lately. But, I'm glad for this trip, though. It couldn't have come at a better time. You know how crazy these trips can get." He smirked.

I laughed and nodded my head in agreement. One of the reasons why most of us couldn't wait because they were always lit as fuck, no matter what.

The only downfall was that we couldn't bring nobody with us. But, shit all I needed was my niggas and a bottle of Hennessy, courtesy of Sean’s alcoholic ass.

I knew that Ashton was going to have hoes in rotation there also. Unfortunately, that shit wasn't for me no more but it was still cool to be going on this trip and getting away from work for a while.

"We know how crazy you and Ashton ass can get. Speaking of, he needs a damn trip, that nigga is all over the place these days, fuck!"

Ashton has been breathing down our necks lately. Usually, he puts a lot of pressure on us to get our work together, but for the last month, he's been out of control. The nigga was stressed,

"That nigga always grumpy! He needs some pussy, and not from Adrienne loose ass. He needs some grade A pussy. I keep trying to tell him." I shook my head.

"He been on one, but let me get the fuck outta here before he comes in here talking his shit." I stood up and leaned over the desk and dapped him up.

"Me the fuck too, he'll come in this bitch and see us just chilling and start looking for us something to do to kill time and shit." Sean stated, laughing.

"That's your best friend, dawg, you know he stupid." I chucked up the deuces and walked out this office.

After leaving Sean office I saw Evie hauling ass towards the elevator. "Yo, why is your little ass running like a bat out of hell for?" I laughed and grabbed her arm as she tried flying pass me.

"I need to go home and start packing for this trip. I was supposed to have been done but y’all damn boss tried to give me overtime for some bullshit. Ugh!" She stomped her foot like a spoiled brat.

Evie was my baby, she reminded me of my baby sister. Spoiled rotten to the core but she was a cool ass chick. She was about her work and getting her money and I respected her.

When I first met her, she was this shy, timid girl who dressed like a seventy-year-old woman school house teacher, but lately, she's been dressing more and sexier and I wasn't with that shit.

She was going out more and the more too. It’s like the more she hangs out with us, the wilder she become. I blame Sean for that shit. His “life of the party” wannabe ass.

"You know how he is; how long you been working here? You know that nigga not wrapped too tight." I joked.

"Yeah, whatever, just keep him away from me on that trip and we won't have any problems. We going to be overseas and I don't know what will fly out my mouth so keep Sean and his liquor away from me too."

This time I cackled. Everyone knew that when her ass gets an ounce of liquor in her system she starts going ham. Evie was a firecracker. She acted as if she was this sweet innocent girl but deep down she was a damn savage.

I seen how my boy, Jessie been looking at her, and how they been kicking it for the last week. I'm a talk to her about that later though since she was determined to get out of Ashton's sight, like the rest of us. "Go ahead and pack, call me later lil bit." I kissed her cheek as she damn near ran out the building.

I shook my head and walked inside of my office and grabbed my briefcase and jacket and headed out for the evening.

I breezed through traffic while bobbing my head to Jeezy. While in traffic a slew of things ran through my mind as I made my way home.

A lot of things in my life has transpired, more so good things but some of the things that I was doing was going to end badly if I didn't get a hold on it and quickly.

I pulled into my garage and jumped out, grabbing my things and headed inside. I walked into my house and the smell made a smile form on my face. I put down my briefcase and took off my suit jacket.

Loosening my tie, I walked into the kitchen to see my baby mixing the pot with one of my t-shirts on.

"What you in here cooking, girl?" I snuck up behind her and placed a kiss on the crook of her neck.

She turned around with a smile on her face but that soon faded into an angry expression. I kissed my teeth, "Here you go."

I said backing away from her and pulled my tie completely off. She turned off the stove and put the spoon that was in her hand down.

"No, don't try and flip this, where the hell is your ring?" She put her hand on her hip awaiting my answer

I looked down at my finger and cursed myself.

"I swear to god, one of these days I'm going to leave you, August." She

"Baby, you gonna leave me for a ring?" I asked

"You're married! You can't just go around taking your ring off because if I did the same then it would be a serious problem, right?" She questioned. "Right!" She repeated.

I made a mistake when I married Corrine. Marrying her wasn't the mistake because I loved that girl with every of me, but the way I did it.

We eloped, so no one was aware that I was a married man. I didn't want to hear nobody's mouth when it came to my marriage.

I couldn't tell boys because I would never hear the last of it because I opted not to sign a pre-nup. Then my parents would murder me, my mother has been planning my wedding since I was at least twenty and I completely went over her head with my court house union.

I didn't know how to tell anyone about my wife.

We'd only knew each other for a few months before I popped the question. She was an attorney like myself, one of her clients was suing mine.

Of course, I beat her in court and made it up to her with a round of drinks and we've been inseparable since.

"Look at your dumb ass, stuck! Keep on August. We've been married for a year, keep hiding me and see if we make it to another one."

"Corrie, just give me some more time baby." I pleaded with her

She reached up and caressed my face.

"Keep playing me for a fool and I'll give you all the time in the world." She said before brushing passed me.

I sighed deeply, dragging my hand down my face, letting out a frustrated groan.

"Baby, come here." I caught up to her and wrapped my arms around her and pulled her back into me. "I'm sorry."

"You're always fucking sorry! Why is this even a secret? I can’t tell my friends; I can't even tell my mother that I'm married. You know how that feels?" Again, I sighed

I could admit that I was being selfish but I just wasn't ready to tell everyone just yet but I knew if I didn't, I would lose Corrine and that's just something I'm not willing to do.

"I know baby and soon we will let everyone know but right now is just not the time. Just give me like two weeks, tops and I promise we can go to the mountain tops and shout it out so that everyone can hear it."

"You just don't get it baby; why am I secret? Huh? Do you not wanna be married to me? Is that what this is if so we can go get this shit annulled." Now I was getting pissed.

I turned her body quickly so that I was looking deeply into her eyes. When she looked up at me I saw the look of defeat and tears filled the brim of her eyes.

I wasn't trying to be selfish and I could now see how this was really affecting her. "Listen to me, Corrine...." I grabbed her face into my hands and lowered my face to hers.

"You're not a secret, I love you and I wouldn't have married you if I felt like you weren't the one for me. I just been under a lot of pressure at work but I promise that we will tell our parents soon. I'll tell my friends too. Don't ever doubt my love for you."

A few tears fell from her eyes as I kissed them away. "You got a week nigga and I promise if you don't I'm going to show the fuck up and show out." I smirked.

Her little feisty ass was always trying to show the fuck out. I kissed her lips softly.

I lifted the shirt that she was wearing and gripped her ass roughly before slapping it. "What you cook for me?

She pulled away and rolled her eyes playfully. "You are so annoying. I cooked your favorite. And are we still going to that little cute Mexican place Saturday." My smile faded as I thought about the work trip.

It had slipped my mind just that quick. I had to tell her and I guess this would be the not so perfect time but I needed to tell her.

"Baby, that’s what I need to talk to you about."

Walking over to her as she stood over the stove flipping over the fried fish. "What is it?" She asked so sweetly.

I leaned my head back and groaned lowly. "We can't go this Saturday because I have to attend my annual work trip for a week." I said as I placed my head in the crease of her neck.

"Unbelievable! And when did you planning to tell me this shit? When you were packed and on the damn plane! Get the fuck off of me!"

"Don't be--"

"Back the fuck up…" She said calmly. I unwrapped my arms from around her as she stomped past me and for the second time today she bumped her shoulder into mine and stormed off.

I can't win for losing...

Scary Monsters 2 Card Analysis: Part 4

Most importantly, all cards in this post are best to use as last resorts. There are and there will be better cards that you can use, but this is for what you can do with them should you need to use them.

Ace SR

Type: Balance

Rook [ATK S]

SM Ace is a Flora/Water Balanced SR with a debuff on his Flora magic and a buff on his Water magic. SM Ace has some of the lowest stats among Balanced SRs: his HP stat is the lowest, while his ATK stat sits at the lower end. Ace may seem balanced with one buff and one debuff, but he is more defense-oriented for several reasons. His debuff is better than his buff, as ATK de/buffs are stronger than DMG de/buffs. Both his magic deal weak hits, and his buddies boost his HP more than his ATK. Consequently, he is best suited for a Water Defense test. However, the SSRs that go well with him in Water tests, whether he's a duo partner or a very useful buddy, perform best in Water Basic. Any Defense SSRs that go well with Ace are best suited for Fire Defense. This makes team building with Ace a bit hard, but the good thing about him is that he is paired with some of the more useful SSRs. Starting with Water Basic, Birthday Trey (Flora/Water) and Union Azul (Fire/Flora) are two Attack SSRs that have Ace as duo partner. Union Azul also has Ace as his ATK buddy, making Ace's presence all the more important. Camp Ruggie (Water/Flora), one of the most powerful SSRs in this test, doesn't have Ace as his duo partner but as his ATK buddy. It's arguably more important than the duo partner considering Ruggie's power when using both of his magic in one turn. It's to be noted, however, that another Ace SR card, FG Ace, can not only perform virtually the same role that SM Ace can, but can also boost the duo magic of Trey or Azul. Therefore, SM Ace is more of a second option in this case. Should you choose to use him, however, you can boost his ATK by adding in Halloween Rook (Water/Flora) or Union Rook (Flora/Water). The former duos with Trey, so if you use Birthday Trey, you can use at least two duos with Halloween Rook, Birthday Trey, and SM Ace in the team. Getting into Fire Defense next, Dorm Deuce (Cosmic/Water) is a Defense SSR with Ace as his duo partner and HP M buddy. Silk Jamil (Water/Water), one of the best cards for this test, doesn't have Ace as his duo partner but has him as his HP M buddy. Like Water Basic, however, there are other Ace cards that work better for this test, namely Birthday Ace (Water/Fire) and Lab Ace (Cosmic/Water). As a result, SM Ace would only be recommended as a very last resort, especially with the presence of a Flora magic. If you do choose him, you can boost his HP using Chef Malleus (Fire/Water), who can be substituted with Lab Malleus (Water/Fire) should you not have him. If you choose to use Ace for Water Defense, it may be difficult to form a team since his buddy synergy with other cards is poor in this test. You may use Birthday Trey since Ace grants him a HP M boost. As for which Malleus to choose from, Birthday Malleus (Flora/Water) is probably the best option because his HP value is higher than Robe or Silk Malleus (9,201 vs 7,332 or 5,803). Additionally, he has Idia as his duo partner, who has many cards that excel in this type of test. In summary, SM Ace by himself is most suitable for Water Defense. However, he has better synergy with other cards in Water Basic and Fire Defense, where he excels less in.

Floyd R

Type: Defense

Max Stats at Lv.60 [GROOVY]

No buddies: HP 8,644 / ATK 2,520

Buddy Lv.10 (approximately): HP 8,644 / ATK 3,402

Magic (Lv.10):

Flora: 1 Weak hit with 1-turn DMG DOWN S on single opponent

Fire: 2 Weak hits with 1-turn tiny chance of Avoid

Buddies

Leona [ATK M]

SM Floyd is a Flora/Fire Defense R card with a small DMG DOWN on his Flora magic and a chance of Evasion on his Fire magic. Floyd is on the higher end amongst Defense Rs when it comes to his HP stat, and both his skills are useful for Defense tests, even if their effects are small. Based on this and the elements, he's most suitable for Flora Defense. Many SSRs that are useful in Flora Defense pair well with Floyd. Dorm Jade (Water/Fire) has Floyd as his duo partner and HP M buddy. This duo pair is especially recommended if you need damage to kill by Turn 5. Tsum Tsum Leona (Fire/Flora) has one of the highest HP stats among all cards, and he and Floyd give ATK M boosts to each other. Finally, Birthday Idia (Fire/Flora) has Floyd as his duo partner and HP M buddy, and he has synergy with Dorm Trey-Cater duo. In short, SM Floyd has great buddy synergy in Flora Defense and has suitable magic skills for it. However, it should be noted that he has many other cards that perform very well on this test, with Beans Floyd, Dorm Floyd, and even PE Floyd.

Jamil R

Type: Balance

Max Stats at Lv.60 [GROOVY]

No buddies: HP 6,228 / ATK 3,560

Buddy Lv.10 (approximately): HP 6,228 / ATK 4,806

Magic [Lv.10]

Fire: 1 Weak hit with 1-turn ATK DOWN S on single opponent

Flora: 2 Weak hits with 1-turn minimal ATK UP on self

Buddies

Trey [ATK M]

SM Jamil is a Fire/Flora Balanced R with a small ATK DOWN on his Fire magic and a very small ATK UP on his Flora magic. Since his one buddy gives him ATK boost, Jamil is more suitable for Flora Basic than Defense. Note, however, that Dorm Jamil is a stronger card for this test, so you would only want to use SM Jamil as a last resort. The best SSR that you can pair with Jamil in this test is Dorm Kalim (Water/Cosmic) mainly because Kalim's ATK stat is given a medium boost by Jamil, and his duo element is Cosmic. Even so, you can use Kalim in any test, and he performs best on Fire, where Jamil is weakest at. Aside from Dorm Kalim, Union Ace (Cosmic/Fire) has Jamil as his ATK buddy. The other SSRs that have Jamil as duo partner perform best in other tests. Union Cater (Flora/Water) can be used in Water or Fire Basic. Birthday Jack (Cosmic/Flora) and Masquerade Azul (Water/Flora) perform best in Water Basic. You can use Jamil in Water Basic since his Flora magic contains the buff, but be wary of his Fire magic, especially since his HP stat is low and will affect your team's overall HP. However, even in Water Basic, there are many Jamil cards that you can use, including but not limited to Birthday, Union, and Robe Jamil. If you want to boost Jamil's ATK, Trey has several Attack cards for each Basic test. Camp Trey (Fire/Cosmic) is one of the strongest Attack cards in the game and is suitable for Flora Basic. Meanwhile, Birthday Trey (Flora/Water) can work well for both Fire and Water Basic. Lab Trey (Water/Fire) is a good Attack SR that is suitable for Flora and Fire Basic.

Summarily, SM Jamil alone is most suitable for Flora Basic, but the SSRs that pair with him are mostly suitable for the other Basic tests. In terms of buddies, it's easy to bring Jamil and Trey in any Basic test if you need the additional ATK boost.

Ortho R

Type: Attack

Max Stats at Lv.60 [GROOVY]

Ace [HP M]

SM Ortho is a Fire/Water Attack R with one buff on his Fire magic and one debuff on his Water magic. Based on this info, he'd suit Fire Basic the most. However, both the buff and debuff have weak effects, and both of his magic deal weak hits, so in general, Ortho won't be very helpful. Furthermore, SSRs that have him as duo partner are mainly Defense SSRs, which makes Ortho a little more useful in Defense tests, especially Fire. Birthday Ace (Water/Fire) works best for Fire Defense, and he has Ortho as duo partner and HP M buddy. He also boosts Ortho's HP, which helps in boosting the overall HP of your team. Meanwhile, Dorm Idia (Fire/Cosmic) and Union Lilia (Cosmic/Fire) work best for Flora Defense, and both have Ortho as their ATK buddy. Tsum Riddle (Cosmic/Water) is best for Fire Defense, and while he may not have Ortho as duo partner, he has him as ATK buddy. In short, SM Ortho alone is better for Fire Basic, but with his synergy with SSRs, he is best for Fire and Flora Defense. However, he isn't very useful in the long run, especially when other Ortho cards perform better. When it comes to Fire Basic, Dorm Ortho is one of the strongest SSRs to have, and DW Ortho is another Attack card with the same elements but with a strong attack and 3-turn ATK buff. Robe Ortho performs well in most Defense tests with his heal, and even Uniform Ortho is better used for Fire Defense.

Sebek R

Type: Attack

Magic [Lv.10]

Ruggie [HP M]

SM Sebek is a Cosmic/Water Attack R with both his magic containing buffs. He seems to fit Basic tests best, but his ATK stat is the third lowest among Attack R cards, and his buddy boosts his HP. Based on this info, he's best for Fire tests, whether Basic or Defense, but he may also be used in Water Basic. Onto SSRs that duo with him, most of them are best for Water or Flora tests. Union Jamil (Water/Flora) performs best in Water test. Birthday Ruggie (Flora/Fire) and Masquerade Malleus (Flora/Fire), on the other hand, do best in Flora. Ruggie is preferable to pair with Sebek, as both of them mutually boost each other's stats and work best for Basic tests. As for other SSRs that he may benefit, Union Cater (Flora/Water) can work for both Water and Fire Basic, and he receives ATK boost from Sebek. In summary, SM Sebek alone is most suitable for Fire Basic and can work for Water Basic, but he doesn't have many SSRs to be paired with for either of those tests. It's worth noting that if you need a Sebek card for either of those tests, Birthday Sebek and Lab Sebek are much more useful.

Union Birthday Jade and Floyd Card Analysis

Jade

Type: Balance

Lv.80 Stats (Groovy):

No buddies: HP 8,677 / ATK 4,817

Lv.100 Stats (Groovy):

No buddies: HP 10,151 / ATK 5,636

Magic (Lv.10):

Null: 1 Strong hit & DMG DOWN (Medium) (Opponent Team/1T)

Water: 2 Strong hits & DUO with Silver (3 Strong hits)

Buddies:

Leona: HP UP Small

Rook: HP UP Medium

Silver: ATK UP Small

Union Jade is the first card with area DMG DOWN debuff, making him a good addition to defense tests teams. Being Null and Water, he’s better suited for Fire tests and as a balanced SSR with his DUO partner also being his ATK buddy, he works well on both basic and defense tests.

A good Leona to use with him is FG Leona (Tree/Water) as he also has Rook (ATK S) and Silver (HP S) as buddies. Some good Kalim cards to use in the team would be Dorm Kalim (Water/Null) and FG Kalim (Water/Fire). A cheaper, but not as good, option would be Lab Leona (Water/Fire), his buddies being Jack (ATK M) and Epel (HP S).

You can use Bday Rook (Null/Water) for some more HP (both him and Jade have HP M with each other) and to add an extra DUO to your team. Robe Rook (Fire/Water) is good in terms of elements, but if you’re doing a defense test, Uniform Rook (Water/Tree) might be a better option thanks to the heal on his M1.

Both Silver SSRs, as of this post’s date, work well with Union Jade. Bday Silver (Fire/Water) is a defense card with Ruggie as his DUO partner and ATK DOWN L on his M1, but he and Jade have no buddies in common. The other option would be SM Silver (Fire/Fire), a balance SSR with heal on his M1 and DUO with Leona, who is also his ATK S buddy.

Floyd

Type: Attack

Lv.80 Stats (Groovy):

No buddies: HP 7,996 / ATK 5,078

All 3 buddies Lv.10 (approximately): HP 11,993 / ATK 6,093

Lv.100 Stats (Groovy):

No buddies: HP 9,331 / ATK 5,955

All 3 buddies Lv.10 (approximately): HP 13,996 / ATK 7,146

Magic (Lv.10):

Fire: 1 Strong hit & Fire DMG UP (Large) (Team/1T)

Water: 2 Strong hits & DUO with Deuce (3 Strong hits)

Buddies:

Deuce: HP UP Medium

Jack: ATK UP Small

Lilia: HP UP Small

Union Floyd's M2 is advantageous over his M1, which makes him useful for Fire tests. He also has one of the higher HP values for an SSR Attack card, which makes him not a terrible choice for Defense tests if you need that extra kick to help kill the opponent.

Floyd has a Large Fire DMG UP that extends to both himself and his ally for his M1. Dorm Jade (Water/Fire) would be good to have on the same team in order to use Floyd's M1 to boost Jade's M2 damage, as well as get a DUO as well. Birthday Lilia (Fire/Water) buddies with Deuce, so we can bring Dorm Deuce (Null/Water) into a team with him and Floyd so Floyd can get the maximum HP UP in this team. Finish the team up with Birthday Rook (Null/Water) for a Fire Defense team with 5 HP buddies and 4 DUOs if you need the extra power.

If you pair him up with Union Jack (Water/Fire), for the ATK UP, make sure to bring a Ruggie. Dorm Ruggie (Null/Water), along with Dorm Deuce and Birthday Ace (Water/Fire) make for another sturdy Fire Defense team with 4 HP buddies and 4 DUOs.
