Bakugo didn’t ever think he’d fall in love. He didn’t think he’d be the type to want to settle down, to spend his life dedicated to another person.
As he lays in bed on his side, awake before you, as always, he can’t help but rethink that.
Sure, you’re using each other, that’s always been clear in your relationship, but he doesn’t really feel that way anymore.
You look so pretty when you sleep. It hasn’t been long since you started staying over sometimes after you sleep together, only starting because you were so tired that the pro hero didn’t trust you to get home safely. He would’ve taken you home himself but he had an early patrol the next day and needed to sleep. Of course, you offered to sleep on the couch, but he would’ve felt bad, using you for sex and then expecting you to sleep on his couch.
Your face always looks so relaxed when you’re asleep, the worries that plague you during the day completely gone, free from concern, from bother, from the stress of your daily life, of being associated with a man with such a high risk job, even as loosely as you are.
With a soft smile on his own face, sleep threatening to drag him back in, he reaches out his large, calloused hand, smoothing down your sleep tousled hair.
He can’t help letting him mind wander. Sometimes he imagines what it would be like if you were actually dating, not just friends with benefits. How it would feel to be able to lean over and kiss you softly when he wakes up, your soft lips his to claim whenever he wants, not just the few times he’s gotten the privilege of tasting them when you both got really into your time in the bedroom.
The imagined images of you, rolling over in bed, cuddling up closer to him as you slowly regain consciousness, whispering a morning greeting, mumbling something about how much you love him. He’d kiss your forehead, holding you close, telling you how beautiful you are.
Or he’d get up early and make you a nice breakfast with coffee, proper coffee, not that instant or convenience store shit you’re used to, turning to the door when he hears your soft footsteps plodding out of your shared bedroom, a blanket wrapped around your body, complaining about waking up to an empty bed, all dissatisfaction disappearing when you see the breakfast set on the table.
He snaps out of his delusions when he feels the bed shift next to him, your eyes slowly opening. He let himself get too distracted by his fantasies.
You sit up and stretch next to him, covering your breasts with his bedcovers.
“Good morning, Bakugo,” you smile, looking down at him laying next to you.
He mumbles a morning greeting back to you, quickly getting out of bed, cheeks dusted in pink. Which he obviously turns around to hide, getting dressed.
When he turns back to you, you’re fully clothed, brushing your hair. Smiling softly, he wishes he could walk up behind you and wrap his arms around you, or take the brush to brush your hair for you.
He knows he shouldn’t though, so instead he just asks you if you want any breakfast before you go.
You decline his offer, knowing he has to be on patrol soon, not wanting to bother him or risk making him late. His heart swells a little, realising you know his schedule by now. He supposes it’s to be expected, you’ve been part of this arrangement for quite a long time now, but it still makes him happy.
“Well, I’m gonna go now,” you smile, turning back to him. “I’ll see you later, yeah?”
“Yeah, see you later,” he says. “I’ll grab food after my paperwork’s done, yeah?”
You nod, looking up at the tall, muscular man in front of you. “Sounds good.”
Not long later, you walk out of his apartment, smiling as you say bye to him again.
He bites his lip as he watches you leave, feeling both happy and dissatisfied simultaneously.
Maybe one day he’ll tell you how he feels, what he wants. For now, he isn’t quite willing to take that risk, to risk the arrangement you have now, the friendship. He isn’t willing to chance losing you altogether. For now, he’ll take what he can get. Maybe one day.
Little does he know, you’re wishing you just had the guts to kiss him as you left his apartment, just once, to let him know how you feel. Maybe one day.
Maybe.

REVERSE TROPE WRITING PROMPT BY @out-of-jams
ACCIDENTALLY KIDNAPPING A MAFIA BOSS
In Tucker's defense, he thought he was doing someone a favor. A life saving favor, in fact.
"What the fuck-!” The red helmeted guy yelped as a deceptively strong Tucker yanked him onto the bike and sped away. Before Tucker could explain, the GIW agents behind them got in a lucky shot and hit the helmeted liminal with a strong blast to the head.
Clearly, his gear wasn’t equipped with anti-ecto protections, because the guy slumped over on Tucker’s arms. This was bad, because Tucker now had to maneuver about 230 pounds of Gotham muscle while speeding away from government agents. He flicked on the jammer so they couldn’t track his and red helmets’s ecto signature.
“STOP!”
“Ah, shit.” Tucker cursed as he somehow managed to gather up red-helmet’s body and stabilize the bike. “C’mon, Tuck, you can do this.”
Blasts of anti-ecto tech slammed into buildings around him. Luckily, Gotham was used to this kind of shit so people just moved out of the way before going back to their day. Tucker wove around traffic, trying to lure the agents into slamming face first into some signposts.
“Stop damaging the local infrastructure!” Tucker yelled back at them, speeding up.
“WELL REIMBURSE THE PEOPLE AND THE CITY LATER! TELL US WHERE PHANTOM IS!!”
“Over my dead body, you jerks!” Tucker took a sharp right, catching red helmet before the man could slip off. He sped up and took the ramp downwards, heart beating loudly in his ears as he strained his senses to figure out- ah, they took the ramp upwards. Good. Now, all he has to do is bring red helmet back to home base.
“Oh my god. I kidnapped him,” Tucker groaned, slapping at his face before quickly placing his hands back on the handle bar once the bike teetered over with red helmet’s weight. “I’m a criminal. Oh my god.”
Then, as he found his way back, “…Well, it’s not like I wasn’t a criminal before, with the whole resisting arrest thing.”
——
Tucker dumped the red helmet liminal onto the couch of their shared apartment and went to take a shower. When he got out ten minutes later, he found Danny and Sam staring at the helmet guy. Tucker pushed up his glasses (after letting them defog from the shower) and greeted them.
“Hey, guys! I found him while I was running away from Agent L and J.”
“You okay?” Danny asked, eyes immediately flicking over Tucker for injuries.
“Yeah, I’m good. They’re horrible shots.”
“I thought Danny was the one who brought home strays but you…?” Sam commented, arms crossed and a purple painted nail tapping at her arm. “Wait. Isn’t this… that crime lord? What was his name?”
“Red Hood?” Danny offered, turning back to look at the guy on their couch.
Tucker paled. “Oh, no.”
Guns? Check.
Red Helmet? Check.
Bat-Symbol? Check.
Shit.
They collectively stared at the guy in silence.
“…Tucker,” Sam slowly said. “Did you accidentally kidnap a crime lord?”
“Hey, I didn’t want him to get killed! He’s liminal! Even more than us, except for Danny.” Tucker grumbled. “Man, this is why I leave the hero-ing to Danny. I do one good thing and suddenly I have a crime lord on my couch.”
“My couch,” Sam corrected, as she was the one that furnished their apartment.
“What do we do now?”
“Eat dinner,” Tucker said. “I’m famished.”
Sam nodded. “Wait for him to wake up and hope he doesn’t shoot us the moment he wakes up. Then, we explain.”
Danny grabbed all the visible guns he could see. Tucker went to start dinner. Sam supervised, because her boys were idiots and now she had a crime lord in her apartment.
——
Jason groaned, head swimming in a sea of dull throbbing pain as his eyes fluttered open.
Then he remembered he was abducted, and bolted up right. He paused as a series of quick observations made its way to his consciousness.
One. He’s not tied up. Weird, because everyone knows that he’s a weapon even without his weapons.
Two. His weapons were right there, just in reach.
Three. He was surrounded by teenagers and/or young adults who were all scrolling along on their phones.
“Oh, hey, he’s awake! Hi!” The Wayne bait said, electric blue eyes fixing itself on Jason. “Were you aware you died?”
Jason went rigid, hundreds of way to-
“Danny!” A scolding tone cut of Jason’s immediate panic. Two couch pillows slammed into Danny’s face, courtesy of goth girl and nerdy but strong.
“Dude, why do you start with that? Why are you like this?” His… possible kidnapper? asked, exasperatedly flinging his hands into the air as he rolled his eyes.
Goth girl scowled. “Boys. Crime lord, couch, remember?”
“Hey, in my defense, I died too!”
And that- as Jason remained dumbfounded in this circle of tomfoolery- was what snapped Jason out of his daze.
“You what?” He rasped out.
And when he saw them open their mouths at the same time, Jason just knew his headache was going worse.
——
Tucker, effortlessly plucking the actual red hood from the streets: and I whoop-
Jason, whose type is strong, nerdy, and tall: *heart eyes* *but not really because he’s unconscious*
——
Sam: “this is my boyfriend Danny and our other boyfriend Tucker.”
Jason enters chat:
Sam: “this is my boyfriend Danny and our other boyfriend Tucker and his boyfriend, the Red Hood.”

Lullaby
Max Verstappen x Reader
Summary: in which Max is the only lullaby you’ll ever need
Warnings: 18+ content
Tumblr media
You stare up at the ceiling, wide awake. The numbers on the alarm clock seem to taunt you, the minutes ticking by as you struggle in vain to fall asleep.
It’s nearly 1 am and Max still isn’t home.
With a sigh, you roll over and bury your face in his pillow, breathing in his familiar scent.
It’s not the same.
Your body craves his warmth, the protective circle of his arms. Sleep just won’t come without him here.
You’ve always been this way, for as long as you can remember. A perpetual insomniac, tossing and turning through the lonely nights.
That is, until you met Max.
The first night you spent together, you were astonished to find yourself drifting off within minutes of being wrapped in his strong embrace. It was like magic. Now, months later, the spell hasn’t broken. Max has become a necessity, not just for your heart but also for your health.
The sound of the front door opening stirs you from your restless thoughts. Muted footsteps make their way to the bedroom and you feel the mattress dip down.
“Hey,” Max whispers, his hand grazing your shoulder. “Sorry I’m so late, the meeting ran long. I didn’t mean to keep you waiting up.”
You roll over to face him, drinking in the sight of his tousled hair and tired eyes. “It’s okay. I’m just glad you’re here.”
He offers you a soft smile, the one he saves only for these quiet intimate moments, and your heart skips. No matter how many times you see it, that smile never fails to make you melt.
“Let me just wash up and I’ll be right there, okay?” He squeezes your hand gently before disappearing into the bathroom.
You listen to the familiar sounds of him getting ready for bed, a ritual you know by heart. The splash of water, the electric hum of his toothbrush, the soft thud of his clothes hitting the hamper.
When he emerges in just his boxers, you lift up the covers in silent invitation. He slides in behind you and tucks your body against his chest, legs tangled together.
You fit so perfectly, two puzzle pieces made for each other.
His arms wrap around you like bands of steel and you feel yourself begin to relax into him. Here, cradled against him with your legs interlocked, is the only place you’ve ever found true peace.
Max brushes his lips over your hair. “Did you miss me?” He murmurs.
You smile into the darkness. “You know I did.”
“I missed you too, schatje.” His voice is husky with fatigue. “I’m exhausted but I had to get back to take care of my girl.”
You snuggle deeper into his embrace. “My hero.”
He chuckles, low and warm like honey flowing over you.
You talk softly as you both unwind from the day, voices hushed in the intimacy of the night. He tells you about the team debrief that ran late and you fill him in on the book you started today, trading thoughts and details as the fuzziness of sleep starts to seep into the she of your consciousness.
Eventually conversation tapers off, words replaced by contented silence. Max’s breathing deepens and you know he’s nearing slumber. But your mind still buzzes, body fighting against its own weariness.
You shift restlessly and Max instantly tightens his hold. “Shh I’ve got you,” he soothes. “Just try to relax.”
One large hand begins massaging gentle circles on your back and you focus on its hypnotic motion, on the sensation of his calloused fingers tracing delicate shapes.
He starts humming softly, a nameless tune that fills you with wistful melancholy. You’ve never asked where he learned it. It belongs to these fragile midnight moments, when he coaxes you to stillness with his voice and touch.
Between the comfort of his embrace and the lullaby reverberations rumbling through his chest, you finally feel sleep approaching. Your thoughts drift away until only the present remains — Max surrounding you, his warmth, his scent, the combined rhythm of your heartbeats.
Just as your heavy eyelids begin to close, Max shifts suddenly and cages you beneath him. You gasp as he presses urgent kisses under your jaw, nipping at the sensitive skin.
“Max!” You squirm half-heartedly. “I was almost asleep.”
“Not quite yet, schatje. We’re not done.” His voice is gravelly with arousal that makes your belly swoop. “I need you.”
He kisses you deeply until you’re clinging to him, nails digging into the flexing muscles of his back. This man unravels you with barely a touch, your body open and pliant to him like a flower turns to the sun.
When he enters you it feels like coming home. You let out a shaky exhale, overwhelmed by the perfection of his body joining yours. This connection, this wholeness, is all you’ve ever wanted.
Max sets a slow, deep rhythm. His eyes blaze into you, grey flickering with lust and love and possession. “You’re mine,” he rasps, thrusting harder. “This is right where you belong. Under me, surrounding me, taking all of me.”
“Yes, yes I’m yours,” you gasp. The slide and drag of your bodies is maddening, tension coiling at the base of your spine.
Max grips your thigh, hooking it over his hip to drive himself deeper. “No one else gets to have you like this. You only come apart for me. I’m the only one who gets to feel you shatter.”
You cry out as he hits that perfect spot inside, stars bursting behind your eyelids. “Max, please …”
He crushes you closer, thin control fraying. “Please what? Tell me. I’ll give you anything you need.”
A particularly deep thrust wrings a wanton moan from you. You’re so close now, balanced on a knife’s edge of bliss. “Just you,” you manage to say. “I just need you.”
Max smiles, satisfied. “That’s my girl.” Then his lips slant over yours, swallowing your sobs of pleasure as his hips piston faster. The tension crests, higher and higher, until finally it breaks and you’re swept away on waves of dizzying ecstasy.
Max tenses and follows you over with a rough groan, your name a prayer on his lips. He collapses heavily against you, breath coming in harsh pants.
For long moments you just cling together, fingerprints bruising, heartbeats thundering through one another.
Eventually Max stirs, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. But he doesn’t separate your bodies. He knows you’ll rest easier staying connected, so he simply shifts just enough to take some of his weight off you.
You let out a small sigh of contentment, his warmth seeping into every inch of you like a blanket. Utterly spent and sated, you quickly begin drifting off. But before sleep claims you, Max’s quiet voice cuts through the haze.
“I’ll always come back to you. Every night, just like this. You’re my home.”
His words wrap around your heart, a vow and a lullaby in one. You manage to murmur a quiet “love you” before finally succumbing to sleep, safe in the harbor of his arms.

HEAR ME OUT?? Please—
I LOVE love LOve when like, in fics, Steve has this really weird talent or interest that nobody knows about or like nobody expects but then oddly enough it sort of fits him.
And just like— it opens up so much possibility for character projection.
My favorite is writer Steve but I’ve been growing increasingly obsessed with Steve who’s hyper fixation is snakes.
The image in my head is like— everyone’s hanging out at the trailer park for one reason or another, and they hear Robin fucking /screech/.
Everyone’s on their feet in a split second, worry and confusion and deep dread forcing the way into the forefront of their minds.
Turns out: it was a snake. A really small one at that.
Eddie and Wayne offer to take it and dispose of it, the two of them having done this various other times with the other snakes people find in the trailer park.
But Steve pushes to the front of the group yelling and scolding.
“No absolutely not!”
Eddie shares a look with Nancy, both chalking it up to Steve’s hero complex acting up and him trying to protect them from the potentially dangerous critter.
“Look, Stevie—“
“You are not going to kill that little sweetheart!”
Eddie paused, shared a confused furrow of brows with Nancy and Robin, and turned to face Steve fully.
“Stevie, baby, that’s a snake.”
Steve stood with his hands on his hips, a determined glint in his eye, and nodded. “No I thought it was a squirrel.”
Eddie sighed loudly. “Then what do we do with it?”
“Well not fucking kill it for starters! It’s harmless. Aren’t you baby?”
Eddie and everyone else watched Steve step up to the snake that was hanging from the trailer’s side door. “Um, Steve what’re you doing?”
Steve ignored them completely and simply plucked the snake from its place on the door. From somewhere beside Eddie Robin squeaked in horror and Will groaned while Lucas gave a violent shudder.
“Such a small baby aren’t ya?” Steve cooed at the little snake wrapped around his hand.
“Steve— that’s a snake,” Nancy said warily, eyeing said snake like it killed her mother. “A potentially dangerous snake.”
Steve scoffed while the snake lifted the front of its body to peer at him. “She’s not dangerous, she’s a goddamn rat snake. They’re harmless.”
Just as he said it, the snake turned its head and not his finger. Where Steve didn’t even blink, everyone else freaked.
Eddie and Robin rushed over to him, Eddie immediately taking a look at his hand but keeping his hands away from the snake. Robin kept her distance but rambled about rabies or whatever.
Steve huffed and laughed quietly. “Guys, seriously. It’s a rat snake, they’re completely and utterly harmless to humans. They have such a small amount of venom it doesn’t bother humans. And besides, this little baby’s so small she couldn’t even break the skin.”
He was right, there was no sign of breakage or even redness on Steve’s hand where he was bitten.
Eddie looked at his boyfriend a little in awe and even more in love.
Jesus Christ.
Dustin and Mike walked slowly over to Steve, each asking to hold the snake.
Steve held it out gently, Dustin taking it first and holding it delicately in his hands. When he passed it over to Mike, the snake wrapped itself around his hands and a bit up his arms. Eddie was a little in shock at the giggle the younger Wheeler let out.
Dustin, Mike and Steve sat on the trailer’s side steps and held the snake together, going back and forth about random animal topics that Eddie couldn’t be bothered to remember.
When he asked later, Will and Lucas were delighted to explain that the entire reason Dustin was allowed to join The Party was because in 4th grade he brought Mike a frog he found. Lucas explained that Mike and Dustin had both gone through and extensive reptile and amphibian phase in elementary school and still held onto some of that obsession.
From then on, whenever anyone in the trailer park found any form of snake or rodent that they wanted gone, they called Steve.

Yesterday was my first time in the ER since my hEDS diagnosis was officially added to my file (instead of me having to tell them and hoping they’d believe me), and everyone in my emergency care team was on top of it. Like on the ball, fully engaged and interested in keeping the zebra in the hospital comfortable.
They also all knew what MCAS and POTS were and deferred to me when it came to medication and pain management. Which was also wild, because they were not shy at all about offering pain relief. They straight up offered me narcotics, when usually the most I get offered is Tylenol.
Even the CT tech knew what MCAS was and asked if we should pre-treat with Benadryl because he knew some patients could experience mast cell destabilization from the radiation even without the contrast dye.
He and the nurse even helped brace my neck when I was going into the CT machine because I mentioned having cranial instability, and the position I was in was making my neck click, so they stopped everything to find multiple pillows to brace my neck and shoulders while I was on the table.
Afterward, while being bussed through the corridors in my bed (because they had to dehydrate me to take the CT scan and my POTS was going haywire, and they made sure I had to be upright as little as possible), I commented to my nurse that I was startled that everyone I’d spoken to that day knew about EDS/MCAS/POTS and were so accommodating.
He paused before answering, then told me, “We probably don’t know as much about EDS as we should, but we’ve seen a lot of the other two over the last few years. Covid really messed people up. Did yours start with covid?” No, I told him. We think I was probably born with it and a dental infection turned it lethal. He expressed his sympathy and again reminded me I didn’t need to be a hero and I could press the pain med button whenever I needed to.
Back in my room, they started me on IV fluids to combat the dehydration from the POTS. And I was laying there, I became aware of the nurse bracing my elbow so it wouldn’t hyperextend while he futzed around with the IV and I remember thinking, “this is how it always should have been.”
The kindness and care shown to me were in such stark contrast to past experiences it made me quite tearful. There were no accusations of anxiety, no referrals to psyche, and no implications that I was over-exaggerating my pain. No denying of my experiences.
Just a quiet, vocal acceptance that I “knew my body best” and that they’d do whatever they could to help.
It was nice.

Clark Kent x Male Reader
Content: Greek Mythology AU
Warnings: Smut, Bottom!Reader, Top!Clark, semi-public sex, anal sex, unprotected sex, drunken sex, skinny dipping, spit as lube, missionary position…
Summary: You’re a member of Dionysus following and during a feast you meet a demigod son of Zeus, Clark, also known as the man of steel…
——
You were a lesser deity in a world filled with powerful gods, monsters and heroes. You were the son of the now famous naiad, Daphne. Unfortunately though your mother was no longer with you as she had been turned in to a laurel tree as a form of mercy.
It was considered mercy because the only other option she had was to be violated by Apollo, who was under the spell of Eros after an argument between the two. Apollo feeling bad about the whole ordeal apologised by finding you a place in the retinue of Dionysus and Ariadne.
You didn’t mind this as your duties were pretty much drink, dance, fuck, drink more and generally just to have a good time. It was just constant partying and celebration.
One night when the party had yet to start a visitor came for Dionysus. You were sat close to the god’s throne, you were petting one of his pet leopards when a strange man appeared and entered the god’s camp. He walked slowly towards the olympian. You noted his handsome appearance as he stopped in front of Dionysus.
”Lord Dionysus, you sent for me” the man said in a deep tone. ”I did” Dionysus confirmed before standing up saying loudly ”Everyone! Let me introduce to you to Clark, you may know him as the man of steel!… And also one of my younger half brothers”.
Dionysus followers broke out in cheers for the hero, who seemed slightly confused by the big welcoming. ”I’ve called him here to save us all from the cyclops that has been attacking in the night” Dionysus declared and everyone once again cheered.
”What?! You never told me of any cyclops?!” Clark asked agitated. ”Actually I didn’t tell you anything but you showed up anyway” Dionysus teased him. ”Why don’t you save them yourself?” Clark questioned. However Dionysus only responded with a simple ”Where’s the fun in that?”.
Clark looked irretated at Dionysus and said ”I will not be tricked in to fighting someone else’s battle”. Making the on looking crowd let out disappointed murmurs. Dionysus walked up to the hero and put a hand on his shoulder.
”Come on Clark, do us this favour and we’ll give you the biggest celebration you’ll experince in a life time, with the finest wine and feast, our best music and dancers and if you want you can take to bed anyone you fancy, we don’t judge” Dionysus offered.
Clark took a moment looking around at the crowd surrounding him until his eyes landed on you for a swift moment. He then turned back to Dionysus and said ”Very well, i shall do you this favour”. Once again the crowd including you broke out in cheers and applause for the demigod.
The very next day gifted Clark with a sword, armour and food by Dionysus as he and his followers saw off the hero on his way to save them from the threat of the cyclops.
I didn’t take long for Clark to return as he was back at the camp by next day. He came back in the afternoon covered from head to toe in dirt, dust and a little cyclops blood. Throwing the red painted sword by Dionysus feet.
”Well done” Dionysus complimented looking at the blood drenched sword. Dionysus then turned towards you ”Y/n, take our hero somewhere he can wash off” he commanded. ”Yes, lord Dionysus” you said with a quick bow. He then turned back to Clark and said ”When you return, we feast”.
You went and collected a basket with a bottle of scented oil, a strigil (a tool they used in ancient greece to wash themselves) and a new chiton. ”This way, my lord” you said to Clark and started guiding him through the forest. ”Please, just Clark is fine” he said humbly following you.
You guided him to a secluded pond. ”Impressive, how did you find this place so quickly?” Clark complimented. ”My mother was a naiad, it’s an instinct” you explained putting down the basket next to the pond.
”Would you like me to bring you anything else?” you asked Clark as he started undressing out of the dented armour and dirty chiton. ”You’ve already done enough for me, thank you” he said gentlemanly. Clark was now naked, revealing his muscled body and impressive manhood, which you tried not to look at.
He stepped down in the pond, the water reaching up to his hips. ”Why don’t you join me?” he suggested gesturing towards the water. ”I’d love too, but i have to help the others prepare everything for tonight” you said. ”Come on, only for a short time” Clark tempted. ”Okay” you said with a smile, taking off your chiton and sandals.
Clark watched your naked form with interest as you stepped down in to the water. ”See, it’s nice” Clark said starting to wash himself off using the scented oil you brought for him. You tried not to stare at his oiled up chest but you were 90% sure he caught you looking but he didn’t say anything, he only smirked.
You relaxed in the cool water for a while until you remembered you needed to get back to the others. You climbed out of the pond and started putting on your clothing once again. ”Thanks for the company, hope i’ll see you tonight” Clark said. ”Hope, i’ll see you too” you said and started walking through the forest back towards camp.
That night the music rang loudly through the forest as you celebrated the death of cyclops and your new hero, Clark. You drank and danced wildly with your friends. Some others were already passed out from drinking, some were gambling and playing games and one couple were fucking against a tree.
You saw Clark sitting on a pillow next to Dionysus talking, goblet in hand. You made your way over to the olympian and the demigod. ”Y/n” Dionysus exclaimed happily as he noted your presence. He patted a pillow next to him saying ”Come sit down”.
You took the offer sitting down next to the god, he made your empty goblet instantly refill and put an arm around you. ”I was just telling Clark of my inner circle” Dionysus revealed and continued ”Y/n, here you’ve met, he is my and Ariandne’s favourite attendant and friend” he said sweetly.
”Also he has a body as if sculpted by Pygmalion, carved and smoothed to absolute perfection. You should hope to have a look upon it someday” Dionysus said taking another sip from his goblet.
”Actually i already have” Clark stated boldly making Dionysus spill some wine on himself. ”Y/n, joined me for a swim in the pond” Clark explained making your cheeks heat up slightly. ”Is that so?” Dionysus questioned looking towards you.
”Well, i’ve got to go find Ariadne” Dionysus said getting up leaving you and Clark. ”Are you and Dionysus-?” Clark started but you cut him off saying ”No, he and Ariadne just have a very open relationship”. ”How has your night been?” you then questioned the hero.
”Enjoyable but i’ve never been much of a party person” he said then taking a sip from his cup. ”I get it, before i came here i wasn’t either” you told him and then got an idea. ”Wanna go for a walk for some peace and quiet?” you asked. ”Sure, i’d love too” Clark said and the two of you stood up and walked off in to the forest behind you bringing your goblets with you.
You walked and talked for a while, drinking until your goblets were didn’t have a single drop left in them. Dionysus must’ve brought out the strong stuff because you and Clark were stumbling around and slurring your speech, you were laughing loudly at each others stories, sitting very close together.
Finally the two of you ended up behind some bushes close by to the party. You started to passionately make out, you laying on your back in the soft grass and Clark on top of you. Clark tore open your chiton and undressed you, leaving your naked form beneath him.
He then took off his own clothes revealing his muscular body and his hard cock. Clark took his hand and brought it to your mouth, you sucked on his fingers to get them wet, then he brought his moist fingers to your enterance and started pushing finger inside you.
You let out a small gasp as Clark started to finger you open, he added another fiinger and then another until you were ready to take him. Clark spit in to his hand and rubbed it over his erect manhood.
”It’s time i claim my reward” Clark said spreading your legs, he lined himself up with you and started pushing his hard cock in to your warmth. Clark loved the seeing the face you made as his cock slowly filled you up.
”Fuck your so big” you hissed as the demigod was fully sheated deep inside you. He then slowy started moving pushing himself in and out of you as a wave of pleasure started washing over you.
Your legs were wrapped around Clark as he thrusted in to you. ”I’m gonna fuck your little nymph hole full with my seed” Clark groaned in to your ear and placed kisses all along your neck. The demigod started speeding up his thrusts.
”Clark, fuck yeah! Take me” you said in ecstasy grabbing at his back as he fucked your hole. Both of your bodies had started gleaming from sweat as he mounted you under the moonlight, as his reward for defeating the cyclops.
Clark’s thrusts became rougher as he wanted to take you like a real demigod would, he loved how your walls clenched around his thick cock. He brutally fucked you with all the strength of his godly heritage to bring you to your release.
You let out breathy moans as Clark pounded your gaping hole, thrusting against your prostate. You felt yourself getting close to your orgasm. You dug your nails in to the grass below as Clark’s cock made you see Mount Olympus.
”Clark, i’m gonna cum” you said panting heavily making Clark thrust deeper as he wanted to push you over the edge. Then your cock started spraying cum all over your and Clark’s stomachs. Clark’s own release was getting close.
”I’m gonna plant my seed deep inside you” Clark moaned and his rough thrusts became uneven and sloppy. Clark delivered one last deep stroke in to you and he erupted inside you, he flooding your insides with his cum.
Both of you panted heavily and Clark rolled over and layed next to you in the grass. ”You were amazing” Clark praised while softly stroking your cheek. The two of you then used your torn clothes as blankets as you cuddled close together and you both fell asleep under the starry sky.

Buy Me a Coffee, Please?

Crescent shaped wounds formed on the palms of soft (skin color) hands while (eye color) eyes stared holes into the tv and the daily broadcast. Blood dripping from the young woman’s lips from the force of her biting them.
“Today’s broadcast starts off with the news of the blooming relationship between the superhero Hydro and Heroine Terra. The two started off as partners on missions before taking their relationship to the next level! Who knew such chemistry existed between the two?!” A reporter stated while showing videos of the blonde haired hero kissing a pink haired woman. The two did look good together but there was only one problem. Hydro, no… Reign, was (your name)’s boyfriend.
Reign had always told her not to use the tv remote but she was just so bored in the house. Ever since powers had started appearing seven years ago from a mysterious storm, Reign had been keeping her locked up in their shared house. The blonde had insisted it was for her utmost safety, but now (your name) felt like it was all just a rouse to keep her in the dark on his affair.
A scream left (your name)’s throat as she began pressing all the tv buttons in frustration before throwing the tv remote away from the couch. A small thud echoing in the room while the tv screen turned black.
The young woman began to shake as she tried to conceal her sobs while she patiently waited for her boyfriend to come home. Her form shaking as she gazed numbly at the blood dripping from her hands.
She had waited an entire week for him to return from his latest mission. She had been worried sick about him since he hadn’t answered her calls or texts asking how he is or what he was doing. And now (your name) knew why. The true reason in why Reign never replied… was because he had another woman in his life.
Seven years down the drain. She has always wondered why he hadn’t taken her on dates in the last two years since he had risen to stardom. Why he wasn’t as affectionate before or as talkative. Why he never held her or told her he loved her as much anymore.
Perhaps some part of herself had deluded her into believing it was just a phase. Never in her life would she have thought she would be the phase. This was no Superman and Louis Lane love story. This was real life.
Reign would never want to be associated with a girl who had a low grade power like hers. What good was a healing power if she couldn’t even heal a partner who was never injured anymore?
(Your name) and him would never get married or have the happy ending she had always hoped to have since her rough childhood. It would only be Reign and Terra’s. The perfect super couple that took the nation by storm.
(Your name) sighed, a few tears falling down her face. She had thought his sudden avoidance of her was due to the high stress of his work. So she had given him space to organize his thoughts and feelings. The young woman had tried so hard to comfort him with his favorite foods, writing him notes everyday, and making sure their home was always clean. And for what? For him to cheat on her and lie about it? Did he even deserve a good bye?
(Your name) thought for a moment before releasing a sad sigh. Reign truly didn’t deserve anymore than she could possibly offer him. He didn’t deserve a good bye. Especially not when he was the one who left first.
(Your name) knew what she needed to do. It was time to let go before she became even more of a mess. But first, she should clean up her hands and lips.
The young woman walked to the bathroom and began rinsing her hands, the hot water stinging the self inflicted wounds lightly. Dull (eye color) orbs staring at her reflection as she released a sigh. She practically looked like a corpse with the bags under her eyes. When was the last time she smiled anyways? Has it truly been a year since she truly felt anything?
A light green glow left her hands as she healed her broken skin. It was the least she could do so no one thought she was insane when she walked out of this house with a duffle bag.
(Your name) shut off the water before heading into her separate room to pack her things. The couple hadn’t slept together in months and it really took a toll on her. It was pathetic just how far she had let herself wallow in self loathing and pity.
(Eye color) eyes frowned at the photo of a blonde male smiling as he held her younger self. A (skin color) hand reaching out and placing the picture face down. Her hands quickly facing all the photos of them face down so she didn’t have to see his face while she packed. She didn’t want to be reminded of the love they once shared.
Such a shame the fame had gotten to him. Reign was her first love, her first for so many things. But it was time to put him away, just like he did to her.
(Your name) smiled sadly before packing up what few belongings she had, making sure to leave whatever Reign had gotten her behind. She didn’t want any reminders of him and his broken promises any longer.
“Good bye, Reign.” (Your name) whispered as she left the empty house. “I wish you happiness.”
.
.
.
Bars were never really her scene and yet here she was lightly sipping on some Scotch. The bitter alcohol stinging her throat while her eyes scanned the crowd.
The scent of sweat and liquor causing her nose to crinkle in disgust. Just what I’m earth was she thinking coming to a place like this?
This was the nearest bar to the cheap hotel she was staying at for the time being before she found a job to make enough money to move to another city.
A sigh escaping her throat. Her mind was still in shambles and a complete mess. Even this small glass of liquor couldn’t satisfy the lonely ache in her chest.
The young woman raised her hand up to attract the bar tender. “I’d like to close my tab please.”
.
.
.
The walk to the hotel wasn’t too bad. Just pass by a few alleyways and she’d be right there in her tiny room. Hopefully there weren’t any roaches in her bed…
A sudden groan reached her ears, causing the young woman to freeze in place. (Your name) turning her head left towards the alleyway in fright. The young woman trembling as her mind began to race.
She was going to be stabbed wasn’t she? Young women always got abducted or stabbed… or raped at night. And what could she do to defend herself?! She didn’t even have a taser-
“Please…” a deep voice barely whispered while another groan left the alleyway. “Please help me…”
The young woman began to pace as she tried to sort her thoughts. Her mind was telling her no but her heart clenched at the thought of someone truly needing help.
“Screw it.” (Your name) slowly made her was into the alleyway, her (eye color) eyes nervously scanning the alleyways.
“Hello?” (Eye color) orbs widened as she stared at the male before her in shock. Deep gashed covering his body while ragged breaths left the male’s throat. The young woman quickly rushing over as she began trying to talk to the young man. “Oh lord, you need a hospital-“
The male reached a hand out, blood now staining the white sleeves of her coat. Red eyes meeting (eye color) orbs for the first time.
“N-no hospital…” the male rasped while his eyes gazed at here in desperation. “P-please… put me out of my misery-“
“I-I can heal you!” The young woman quickly leaned forward while a green glow surrounded her hands while she tried to heal as many of his wounds as she could. “Please don’t die-“
“It’s okay… I don’t have anything to live for.” There was so much blood. Whatever or whoever had wounded him, had truly wanted him dead.
Tears began to gather in her eyes while she tried to desperately heal the large gashes on the man before her. Just why did her powers have to be so weak?
“Please, whatever may be out there… I just want to save this one person. Please…” tears fell down her face as the male began to slump over ever so slightly. “I just want to save someone so I can have purpose again.”
The male’s eyes widened as the green glow began to become brighter while his wounds quickly began closing. A warmth filling his body and soul while she worked her magic. The young woman beginning to slump as a wave of exhaustion hit her.
“Hey-“ the male quickly caught her before she fell on the pavement. His heart drumming in his chest as he realized she had passed out.
Healing abilities were so incredibly rare this day and age. They were usually killed off so they wouldn’t interfere with the hospitals since they could heal for free… so just how on earth did she come to find him? Wait a moment…
The dark haired male smiled softly as he studied her pretty face, his face lighting up in recognition. It was (your name)… She was still so pretty and small… would she be willing to be his new purpose now that she was all alone?
Did she still remember him from high school? She had always been such a sweet girl, such a shame she chose Reign Huston over him. He could’ve give her the world… but now he could! He truly could give her the world… or at least what would be left of it when he was done with it.
It must be fate that had brought them together! The string of fate must be tied tightly to their fingers, uniting them in a time of hardship once again.
The male slowly rose up. The dark haired man carry her out of the alleyway with a smile on his face.
“You’ll be my reason to live again and I’ll be yours.” The male waved his right hand, a Violet portal appearing before the two. “My true reason on why I want to burn this world to the ground. Nothing will ever hurt you or I ever again.”
The poor girl has no idea that the man she just saved was a monster… a monster she had once unknowingly escaped from in the past…
.
.
.
Reign finally arrived home after not receiving any texts or calls from (your name). Which was strange for her since she always clung to him whenever he left for long periods of time.
Maybe she realized what he had to do in order to crawl up the ranks of superheroes. Reign couldn’t afford for the public to know of their relationship. It was dangerous to be with someone who couldn’t protect themselves.
It would be nerve racking to be seen with a girl who had no name or strong ability to protect herself since he was such a well known hero now. Reign was just lucky Terra was in the same boat as him. With the pink haired woman by his side on the media, he’d be able to have the perfect looking life. A life where (your name) would never be endangered or discovered.
Reign had felt terrible distancing himself from her but he had felt so guilty for pretending to be with someone else. It was what his agency wanted for more media coverage. Yet he knew this was all for the best if he wanted enough money to move the two of them far from anyone and everything.
“I’m home-“ silence greeted Reign when he walked into the empty house. His brow furrowing in confusion at the eerie silence. “Hello?”
The blonde male began to walk around the house, his blue eyes narrowing in concern. Where was she? (Your name) always greeted him when he came home.
“(Your name)?” Reign reached her bedroom door, the male reaching a hand up to knock on the smooth, white wood. “I’m home-“
The door creaked open before he could even knock, the male’s blue eyes widening at the sight of a bare room with all of the pictures placed down. The room looked as if it was ransacked in a hurry.
“(Your name)?!” Reign quickly entered the room as his blue eyes began to scan for any sign of his girlfriend. “(Your name)?!”
Reign then began to run room to room as he called out for her.
“(Your name)?! Please answer me!” Reign began to dash to the living room as tears began to gather in his eyes. She couldn’t have left right? Didn’t she know how dangerous it was out there?
The male took a step near the tv, his foot landing on top of the remote, causing the tv screen to light up. A loop of the broadcast from the other day beginning to talk.
‘Today’s broadcast starts off with the news of the blooming relationship between the superhero Hydro and Heroine Terra. The two started off as partners on missions before taking their relationship to the next level! Who knew such chemistry existed between the two?!’
Reign’s eyes widened in shock as he felt his chest tighten. He had forgotten to hide the remote… she wasn’t supposed to know.
Reign choked back a sob as he realized what he had done. Oh god… she left him.
Reign began to freak out. (Your name) had a healing power and that was considered illegal since the hospitals didn’t want any competition. What if she was killed or kidnapped for her powers?
Reign took a deep breath before trying to calm himself. He was going to have to find her and explain everything.
Maybe he’d have to use some of his old skills back when he first had gotten (your name) into his arms… it shouldn’t be hard to hack into the city’s traffic cameras. One of them had to have had caught something of her. He was sure of it.
“Don’t worry, (your name). I’ll find you.”
.
.
.
Light trickled down from a window. It’s bright rays shining on (your name)’s face, the young woman groaning as she began to stir awake. Her brows furrowing at the unfamiliar room she resided in. Where in earth was she?
(Eye color) orbs examined the modern gothic room. The young woman turning her head around to see that the king sized bed was in the center of the room behind the giant windows of a balcony. Green foliage of exotic plants hanging from the ceilings, the giants leaves covering some of the light from the full moon. Long black and red candles sat on shelves on the black walls, illuminating the room in a comforting manner.
“Are you awake?” A deep voice asked, the young woman turning to gaze at the door frame. A tall male with long black hair stood in the doorframe. His red eyes staring at her in adoration. “You’ve been out like a light for almost two days now.”
The male stalked forward slowly like a predator. His red eyes never leaving (your name)’s. A small smile slowly crawling on his plump lips while his eyes became half lidded. The male bending down to sit beside her in the bed.
“You saved my life.” The male then gently grasped her hand in his much larger one, placing a gentle kiss on the back of it. “My name is Dante Hawkthorne. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?”
(Your name) blinked a few times in disbelief. The man she had saved was one of the most influential businessmen of the century. Just what on earth was he doing in an alleyway? Could he have been jumped? Or maybe he was doing something sleazy?
(Your name) shook her head to clear her thoughts. It’s not like it was her place to judge him since she was also on the sleazier part of town.
“My name is (your full name).” The young woman gave him a soft smile, causing Dante’s cheeks to blush.
“That’s a beautiful name for a beautiful girl…” the young man then slowly pulled away from her as he stood up to his full height. “Would you care to have dinner with me?”
(Your name) raised a brow at the arm he offered for her to grab. It wouldn’t hurt to indulge in his offer would it?
“That sounds lovely, Dante.” The male’s breath hitched for a moment before he quickly composed himself.
“How does (favorite meal) sound?” The two began making their way towards the dining hall. Each one exchanging small talk.
Turns out Dante was only three years her senior and he owned a lot of morgues and graveyards in the city. She would’ve never thought he’d be the type involved with the dead so it was pretty interesting to see and hear about.
Yet she couldn’t help but have a deep gut feeling that there was something off about him.
Perhaps it was the way his eyes lingered on her a little too much for comfort or the way he couldn’t keep his hands to himself. His large hands constantly rubbing against hers as they made their way towards the dining hall in the long hallways.
“Are you alright, Dante?” The male simply gave her a soft smile as he stared at her lips intently.
“Yes. I cannot thank you enough for what you did for me back there. Perhaps it has made me enamored with you.”
    “Pardon?”
“How do I put this?” Dante tapped a pale finger to his light pink lips before giving her a flirtatious smirk. “You enthrall me.”
(Your name) blinked a few times at the oddly flirtatious male before giving him a nervous smile. She had never been the type of girl who had gotten the attention of men like this before. What on earth was she supposed to do?
“Um… I’m flattered?” A deep chuckle broke her from her nervous thoughts.
“You’re quite cute, miss (your name).” The young woman could only chuckle nervously while she turned her head towards the ground. Hopefully he would let her leave soon after this meal. She really needed to get out of this city as soon as possible.
“Um… thank you.” The young woman perked up at the sight of the long table in the center of the grand, gothic dining hall. “Oh wow. Your home is so lovely.”
(Eye color) orbs gazed intently at the various portraits on the walls. A shiver rolling down her spine when her eyes met one of a young woman that looked eerily similar to herself. And did that painting just blink?
(Your name) nearly jumped out of her shoes at the sudden creak the chair made while Dante pulled it out of place. The brunette giving her a soft smile, as if to reassure her that he only had benevolent intentions towards her.
“Thank you, Dante.” (Your name) gently took a seat. Dante quickly sliding her into her spot before taking a seat beside her.
A group of masked butlers quickly scurried into the room with various bottles of expensive looking liquor in their black gloved hands. Which seemed odd to the young woman that she couldn’t see their face or hands.
“Would you care for some wine? I have all kinds of flavors and colors. Whatever you may like.” Dante smiled, gesturing his hand to all of the bottles the butlers held.
“Oh… I would like some (favorite wine).”
“Excellent choice, my dear.” Dante then snapped his fingers, one of the butlers gracefully walking forward. The red number one reflecting off the black wooden mask on his face. His feet moving in an uncomfortably stiff way that was almost unnatural. It was if the butler was a doll.
With perfect poise, the butler’s posture never grew slack as he poured the (wine color) wine into the glass in front of her. The butler than quickly snapped to attention once the wine was poured, giving the two a low bow.
“Thank you, Henry.” The butler then made his way back to the other line of butlers while another stepped forward to pour a deep red wine into Dante’s cup, the dark haired male giving her a smile. The red number seven was on this butlers head, but that wasn’t what made the hair stand up on the back of (your name)’s neck. It was the fact that she couldn’t see the butler’s eyes, almost as if he didn’t have any.
“(Your name). Are you ready for the meal?” Dante asked the young woman, snapping her from her musings. The young woman giving Dante a nervous smile.
“That sounds lovely.” Dante snapped his fingers. The butlers stepping back to make room for the black masked cooks to make their way towards the couple. The numbers one, two, and three on their masks this time. Yet unlike the butlers, the numbers on their foreheads were a dull yellow rather than a deep red.
The tallest one, three, pushed a golden cart that had two golden covers atop of the golden plates. The shortest one, number one, then perfectly placed the meals in front of the two. Just as stiffly as the butler who had poured their wine into their drinks.
“Thank you.” (Your name) told the butler, who didn’t respond, causing Dante to narrow his eyes.
“She told you thank you, Ayden.” Dante hissed, the cook hurriedly giving the young woman a bow. A smile now in place on Dante’s lips. “Thank you, Ayden.”
The cook with the number two then stepped forward to hand (your name) and Dante a glass of water. The three cooks giving them a curt bow before pushing their golden cart away and back to the kitchen.
(Your name) pulled the lid off, her eye brows furrowing at what lord under the cover… this was (favorite food)… how did Dante know her favorite meal?
“What’s the matter, (your name)? Is the food not to your liking?” Dante asked with furrows brows, the male clenching his fists tightly. “I can ask the cooks to remake it. Is it not (hot/ cold) enough?”
“Oh it’s not that, Dante.” (Your name) gave the dark haired male a reassuring smile, causing him to unclench his fist. “This is my favorite food… it was just interesting on how this is what they served me is all.”
“Oh!” Dante removed the lid on his food to reveal the same meal. “It’s my favorite food as well!”
(Your name) sighed in relief as she took a bite from the meal. This was probably the best she’s ever had of it. “This is delicious, Dante.”
“I only have the best in my home.” Dante smiled, the male then grabbing his glass as he raised it. “A toast to you, my savior.”
(Your name) nervously raised the glass before clinking it with Dante’s. The two taking a swig. The taste was a little off, which may be due to how expensive it looked. But other than that, the wine was excellent.
“Is the wine also to you liking?”
“It’s very good.” Dante smiled as he intently watched (your name) eat her food.
A sudden wave of tiredness swept over the young woman, which was odd.
“Are you alright, (your name)?” Dante asked, his brows furrowing in worry as he rose from his seat.
“Oh I am just a little tired is all.” (Your name) gave Dante a reassuring smile. “It feels terribly rude to be so tired when I’m sharing a meal with you.”
“Nonsense. You can spend the night here.” Dante smiled, causing (your name) to grow goosebumps at the strange look in his eyes. (Your name) raised her hands up while she tried to think of an excuse to leave. Something felt off.
“Oh but I don’t want to be a burden-“ Dante’s hands clasped her.
“Oh what nonsense. You saved my life!” Dante flashed (your name) a charming smile, the young man then rose up from his seat. Dante held out a large, pale hand to her. “I can escort you to your room if you are not comfortable walking alone. Tomorrow I can also arrange a maid or two to prepare a bath for you until you feel better.”
(Your name) hesitantly took Dante’s hand, the young man helping her up from her chair. His red eyes never leaving her form.
Dante snapped his fingers, nodding his head at cook one and two to gather up the plates.
“Perhaps tomorrow, in the morning we could have a nice breakfast in the garden?” Dante smiled, which caused (your name) to nervously giggle. “It’d be like a date-“
“Oh I just got out of a relationship so I’m not sure if I feel comfortable going so fast yet-“ (your name) shivered at the twisted smile that flashed on Dante’s lips for the briefest of moments.
“I’m a patient man, (your name). I can wait.” Dante led her towards her room, his eyes carefully observing her to make sure she didn’t pass out too early. Soon she would be completely in his grasp and assimilated in her new role.
.
.
.
Pale fingers traced circles on (your name)’s smooth skin, the fingers slowly working their way up to her (hair type) locks.
“You’re still so beautiful even after all these years.” Dante smiled dreamily before grasping small section of her hair and brining it to his lips. Dante pressed his soft lips to the hair before taking in a deep inhale of her scent. The male moaning in ecstasy.
How many years has it been since he’s last touched her? Seven? Eight?
The male shivered to himself when (your name) released a soft breath while she slept. Her lips looked so soft… it would be okay if he snuck just a small kiss on her, right?
Dante gulped while his palms began to sweat profusely in anticipation. His teenage self had always dreamed of touching her. Of being with her… of being inside of her.
Dante wanted to be inside her body, mind, and soul. He wanted to be the thought, no, the being that never left her mind. The one she would call out for at night as he pleasured her night after night, day after day. He wanted her to be all of his just like he was always all of hers.
Dante slowly swung his body on top of hers. His form straddling hers while his body looked over hers. His red eyes almost glowing in the dark like a predator of the night.
Dante interlaced his fingers with her hands as he held her hands above her head. His long black locks hanging over his face, the locks tickling her skin.
“I have always loved you… it’s meant to be, (your name)…” Dante then leaned forward, his warm breath fanning her face. His eyes becoming heavy lidded with lust. “You were always so sweet to me… it was so hard to live without you for all these years…”
“But it’s worth all the pain and suffering I had to go through now that we’ve crossed paths again…” Dante released a soft chuckle before leaning his face just an inch from hers. “I wonder if you’ll ever know who I am unless I show you a picture from the past… I wouldn’t mind either way because the face you have now is custom made just for you.”
Dante’s lips then gently pressed against hers. His breathing becoming erratic when he immediately pulled away. His eyes now completely consumed with lust, his hips slowly grinding into hers. A low moan escaping his lips, the male biting them to prevent anymore sounds from leaving him.
“The doctor said the drugs were pretty strong so I could kiss and touch you more… I could kiss and touch you all over.” Dante then pressed his lips to her lips again and again. The young man moving his lips all over her face and shoulder in a sort of worshipping manner. “You’re mine now. Mine. Mine. Mine.”
“So won’t you love me more than him now?”
Dante glanced at the clock before sighing at the time. It was almost midnight now. He should probably let her get some rest.
Red eyes took a longing look at her pretty hairs, his eyes flashing with desire yet again.
“I’ll just take a small amount of hair… you won’t even notice.” Dante pulled a knife from his pocket with a smile on his face. “I’ll add it to my collection.”
     “Welcome home, (your name).”
.
.
.
“Shit!” Reign hissed as he slammed his fist into the wall of the seedy motel. (Your name) hasn’t returned to her motel room in a few days now. Could something have happened to her?
Reign placed his head in his hands as he sighed in aggravation. It was highly unlikely anyone would have her. If anyone… no, no. It couldn’t possibly be that weirdo from high school… what was his name again?
Dante Noxwell. He was always hovering around wherever (your name) was when they were in school, picking up items she dropped like some sort of pigeon hungry for scraps. He was never a very good looking fellow either with his hunched over back and scarred face.
Yet that never stopped (your name) from being kind to the freak. She always sent a smile his way or laughed at his stupid jokes… Reign knew Dante coveted her. Reign always watched Dante’s red eyes stare at (your name) longingly, almost as if he thought he was worthy of her.
It disgusted Reign to no end. Dante’s eyes, Dante’s smiles, and most of all, his audacity to even breathe the same air as (your name), pissed him off to no end.
No one deserved to be around her, no one but him. Nobody could protect (your name) as well as Reign did. It was Reign’s own fault for being careless and leaving the tv remote in a place she could find it. She just didn’t understand the lengths he had to go through to protect her.
Once he found her though, he would be sure to lock her up even better this time. He had gotten too comfortable with time but he’d have to improve where he failed.
Reign swore to himself he’d never fail (your name) ever again. She would never, ever escape from him again. Never.
Reign stormed out of the room, his head deep in his thoughts. Perhaps he could try Dante’s address… it wouldn’t hurt to try would it?
Reign placed his hand in his pockets. Completely unaware of the security camera focused on him…
.
.
.
(Your name) groaned, the dancing dreams flickering away when her eyes fluttered opened to see the bright sun light that lit up the room. Had she truly passed out?
(Your name) glanced around the room in confusion. How I’m earth did she get back to her room and what was going on?
     “Hello-“
The bedroom door creaked open revealing a tall feminine figure. The maid wore a white mask with the number seven on it in pink, entered the room with perfect posture. The door loudly shutting behind her.
The maid gave (your name) a curtsy before grabbing an outfit from the closet beside the bed. Her white gloves were completely spotless and she had such a strange scent to her…
“Oh, you don’t have to-“ (your name)’s eyes widened at all the clothes that were in her size. How on earth did they have her size? “How do you have my size-“
The maid gently handed (your name) the clothes, the young woman grabbing her hand in haste.
“Wait-“ the maid pulled her arm away, the glove slipping off her hand a bit to reveal greenish tinted skin. Alarm bells ringing in (your name)’s head at the sight. “What-“
The maid quickly pulled up her glove before bowing. The maid quickly exited the room, (your name)’s mouth hanging open in surprise.
What on earth was wrong with the maid’s skin?
“Are you decent yet, (your name)?” Dante’s low voice from the other side of the door requested politely. “I’ll escort you to breakfast on the patio personally.”
“Not yet!” (Your name) bit at her nails. The young woman didn’t really want to stay at Dante’s home any longer. Something felt completely off about the place and she did not want to spend a minute longer in here.
(Your name) nervously fidgeted with her hands. She was going to have to sneak out at night in order to get away from him. And hopefully everyone would be asleep by then.
Dante frowned at (your name). He could tell what the young woman was thinking and he didn’t like it one bit. Looks like he’d have to teach her a lesson earlier than expected.
For now, he’s play along. He would treat her like a princess and make sure not to slip up in front of her.
A soft jingle came from Dante's phone, the male quickly looking at the device in annoyance. Yet his expression quickly changed to joy at what he saw.
“Oh what is it, Dante?” (Your name) asked, a fake smile on her pretty lips.
“Oh nothing too crazy…” Dante gave (your name) a bright jovial smile. “Just found out I finally caught the rat in my trap is all. That vermin has been plaguing me for quite some time.”
(Your name) nodded, completely oblivious to what Dante had truly meant. But that was okay. Dante didn’t think she’d like that he had referred to Reign as a rat.
Yet she didn’t know that Dante had purposely put out the wrong address for people to find him at if they looked hard enough. It was always funny to see his enemies in the graveyard they would soon be buried in.
Dante cleared his throat before gleaming at the woman beside him. She had no idea how elated he truly was with this news. One more body to join his collection.
.
.
.
Dante smiled at all of the security footage on his computer screen. His face twisting into a grin as he spotted Reign entering the hotel where (your name) was last seen.
How silly of Reign to not think that Dante would finally have the upper hand this time.
A deep chuckle left Dante’s throat, his eyes turning to the other monitor to see all the angles of (your name)’s bedroom. A dreamy sigh leaving his throat.
“Soon you’ll be all mine. And this time with no interruptions.” Dante leaned his cheek against the screen that showed (your name) sleeping in her bed. The dark haired man gently kissing the screen before releasing a dreamy sigh. “It’ll all go the way it was supposed to the first time.”
.
.
(Your name) wandered around the halls, being sure to duck into the corners to avoid being spotted by the workers of the estate.
She had to get out of here as quickly as she could. It just didn’t feel safe anymore. It has already been almost two weeks since she had been trapped in this estate.
Anything was better than being trapped like a bird in a cage again.
(Eye color) eyes peered around the corners to make sure no one would spot her before she crossed over to the other hall. So far, no luck in finding an exit.
Tap. Tap. Tap. (Your name) paused in her steps, her eyes widening at the sight of a masked worker with a blue number, eighteen, on their forehead that strolled adjacent to the hall she was on. The young woman gulping at the rifle strapped to their back. Why on earth would a worker need a rifle?
(Eye color) orbs quickly scanned for a place to hid. A black door sat to her right.
As quiet as a mouse, the young woman tiptoed to the door. Her body shaking in fear of being discovered by the worker.
(Skin color) hands shook as she turned the handle. The woman rushed into the door, the door softly clicking shut behind her. A sigh of relief leaving her throat.
(Your name) turned around and leaned her back against the door. Her (eye color) orbs widening at shock in what the room held.
The room stretched in a barely illuminated hall. A large portrait covered with a red drape sat on the end of the hall as well as a light switch. Each side of the wall appeared to be lined with a pattern of mirrors and portraits of some sort.
What on earth could that possibly be? What were truly on those walls?
Before (your name) could stop herself, her feet wandered forwards towards the covered up portrait. As if she were a piece of metal drawn to a powerful magnet.
She needed to know what was behind that drape. Perhaps it was the truth of this entire situation. Her  limbs continued to move on their own. Her hands reaching out to lightly touch the drape that held the portrait.
With a sharp tug, the drape fell to the ground, all the lights turning on in the room to reveal the entire hall. The grotesque face of a boy from her past staring back at her.  The scarred up face of her schoolmate stared back at her with his dull red eyes.
“Oh my god…” (your name) took a step back before falling onto her bottom. It all made sense now on why she felt so uncomfortable.
(Your name) then turned to gaze down the lit up hall. Bile riding in her throat at the various portraits of Dante’s face and body changing over the years. Yet it was one that stuck out to her the most…
It was the small picture of Reign that sat in the corner of each portrait. Was Dante trying to be Reign?
(Your name) quickly rose up to her feet. She had to leave. She had to get out of here. It wasn’t safe here. No… it was never safe here.
(Your name) quickly dashed down the hall, only to see one of the guards standing in front of the doorway. A rotting stench coming from him.
“Please move-“ the guard pushed his mask aside to reveal the green skin of a walking corpse. His eyes, nose, and tongue completely missing.
(Your name) screamed loudly as the guard came charging at her. An inhuman snarl leaving the guard’s throat.
But a swift kick came to the guard’s side. Dante standing over the guard with a disgusted look on his face.
“What a useless puppet you are.” Dante then held out his hand, the corpse instantly turning to dust. “He didn’t scare you too much, did he darling?”
(Your name) froze at the familiar nickname. Her whole body convulsing into shivers.
“I’m glad you know who I am now!” Dante smiled brightly  as if he hadn’t just turned a corpse to dust a second ago. “We can finally continue where we left off!”
“What are you talking about?” (Your name) whimpered, Dante chuckling. His red eyes shining brightly.
“Well the answer to the letter I sent you all those years ago, darling!” Dante exclaimed, throwing his arms up in the air. “Unless you didn’t get to read it before that bastard ripped it out of your hands.”
Oh (your name) knew exactly what Dante was talking about. He had written her many, many creepy love letters those years. The dead body of the kitten she used to feed was still fresh into her memory. Dante had claimed he saw Reign had poisoned the kitten due to jealousy and wanted her to give it a proper burial. Yet (your name) didn’t think her ex would do such a horrible thing… right?
But the one he had personally delivered to her was the most simple of all. Dante had asked her to be his girlfriend on his knees in front of the entire school and Reign tore up the confession letter. The blonde then kicking Dante across the head repeatedly.
“I don’t know if I can give you an answer-“
“Darling. Baby! You’ve had seven years to think!” Dante’s expression changed to match his frustration with (your name)’s difficulty. “And I had seven years to adjust my appearance to your tastes. Do you know how busy I was over these years? How many diet plans and how much  exercise I pushed myself through just to become the perfect man for you?”
Dante ripped the front of his shirt to show her his chisels physique. “This body was made specifically for you! I know you’ve always liked the pretty type-“
“I-I am flattered, but we just met again-“
“I’m sure you could love me now that I don’t look like what I used to.” Dante interrupted, his large hands holding hers tightly. “I had a hard time finding these parts to use over the years but I only got the best! Just for you! I almost gave up when I couldn’t find you again. My puppets weren’t efficient enough, I guess.“
(Your name) furrowed her brows at his words, a shiver rolling down her line. What did he mean?
   “What-“
“Oh you didn’t know did you?” Dante chuckles before holding out his hand, a large number of workers walking up to the door. “My ability is that I can control the dead.”
(Your name) shuddered as she watched the workers removed their masks to reveal the green skinned monsters she had seen a little while ago. So everyone here was undead?
“See? I think I can keep you safe better than Reign can! He locked you away so well for all these years. I couldn’t find you like I used to be able to!” (Your name) felt as if she went numb. Could Reign have been insane as well? Did her ex truly lock her away from the world.
“Don’t worry! I can do everything he can do but better!” Dante exclaimed with a bright smile. “I just love you so much!”
“Dante-“ Dante’s hands quickly grasped hers. His red eyes staring intently into hers.
“You saved me just like you always used to. Its destiny. Can’t you see?” Dante then pressed his lips to her forehead, his body shivering at the contact. “I can love you so much more than Reign can and I make so much more money than him. I could provide for you-“
    “Dante, it’s okay-“
Dante suddenly pressed his lips against (your name)’s, his soft lips turning into a smile at the contact. The male slowly pulling away.
“I could give you so much more than he can.” Dante then wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her onto his lap. His manhood slowly grinding into hers. “I could… I could please you… whatever you want. I’ll do-“
“But I want to leave-“ Dante pulled (your name) in for another kiss. His tongue forcefully entering her mouth hole his hands began to grab every bit of flesh he could on her body. A strong of saliva connecting the two when he pulled away again.
“You can’t. You can’t ever leave me again.” Dante buried his head into the crook of her neck. “I’ll go insane. I won’t be able to live again without you. Please just stay, just stay with me. I’ll make you happy.”
“Dante I’d be happier outside-“ a sharp prick interrupted (your name)’s words. Her eyes widening at Dante’s twisted smile.
“No. You can’t leave again…no. I won’t let you.” (Your name) could feel her body going limp, Dante quickly pulling her into his arms.
“I promise to love you more than he ever could. I promise you. I’ll keep you safe.”
(Your name) felt her vision going dark, her eyes fluttering in and out of consciousness. Fear consuming her entire being at the last words she heard from Dante before going into a dreamless sleep.
“He’ll be taken care of shortly. No more interruptions this time.”
What on earth could he possibly mean by that?
.
.
.
Reign stood in front of a grave yard in confusion. This couldn’t possibly be Dante’s address could it?
Reign strolled forward. His brows furrowing in thought, unaware of the many eyes that followed his every movement.
Reign sighed before walking up to the mausoleum in annoyance. Something felt off to him. Almost as if he was missing something.
Reign froze when he heard a crunch behind him. The blonde quickly spun around to come face to face with a dark haired man.
“Who are you?” Reign asked, his brows furrowed in confusion and fear. Why was a man in the middle of a graveyard?
“You know who I am very well, Reign.” The male chuckled before slowly walking towards Reign. A twisted smile on his lips. “You used to make my life a living hell everyday after all.”
“No… you can’t possibly be…” Reign couldn’t believe what he was hearing. There was no way the man in front of him was Dante. He was far too beautiful to be the hunched back boy he used to bully. “Dante?”
“In the flesh, or at least what is left. I sort of killed that old Dante off years ago.” Dante chuckled, his red eyes meeting Reign’s shocked blue ones. “That boy was far too weak and too helpless to stop you back then. But now… ever since I got my powers. I can easily stop you.”
Reign held out a hand to blast water at Dante, only for arms to shoot out from the ground and grab his arms and feet. Reign screamed at the sight of all the undead monsters below him. The blonde thrashing to escape but to no avail.
“Why don’t we chat for a bit, Reign? We have lots of catching up to do after all.” Dante smiled before a chair made of bones rose up from the ground for him to sit on. “You are supposedly supposed to defeat me after all. Nox is a good villain name, don’t you think?”
“You’re sick. How could you kill so many people-“ a twisted laugh interrupted Reign. Reign’s eyes widening in fear at the feral look on Dante’s face.
“I’m sick? Then what are you? A saint?” Dante stood from  his chair, the tall male grabbing Reign’s jaw to stare him directly in the eye. “You killed too for her you know. And hurt. And bullied. I was merely searching for her is all. I even tried to find her in other people but to no avail…”
Dante let go of Reign’s chin to reach into his coat pocket. His pale hand holding out a strand of (hair color) hair in front of the blonde. Reign’s breath hitching in fear and anger.
“What did you do to her… what did you do to her?!”
Dante laughed as he began to taunt the blonde with the locks of hair. “Oh nothing yet. I’m merely trying to have her warm her heart up to me. The Stockholm syndrome merely hasn’t set in yet. But she’ll be set for life if she gives into it.”
Dante placed a hand to his cheek as he let out a lovesick sigh. “She’ll be such a beautiful bride. I did so much work trying to make everything perfect for her… the perfect looking husband, the perfect home, and… a lot of money. I could provide for her and maybe even a small family if she’d allow me the pleasure!” Dante gave Reign a mischievous smirk. “Something you could’ve easily have had if you hadn’t slipped up. Thank you for that by the way. Her and I have been reunited at last… I promise to take good care of her-“
A glob of spit hit Dante’s cheek, causing Dante to sigh in annoyance. Dante wiped the spit off his cheek in distaste before glaring at Reign.
“Tch. Seven years and you still haven’t learned proper manners. A shame.”
“Go to hell.” Reign snarled, his blue eyes glowering at Dante in hatred.
“I’ll see you there in a few years then.”
“I’m going to save her from you!” Reign snarled, the blonde thrashing in the undead’s cold grasp. “I will get her back-“
Dante gave Reign a sadistic smile, causing the blonde to freeze up.
“Sorry. I don’t plan on giving you the same luxury you gave me all this years ago when you beat me to a pulp in front of the entire school.” Dante began to shush the blonde’s tears in a teasing manner. “Shhhh. You’ll be among the dead soon. And I will be the only victor from this.”
   “But… heroes always-“
“Oh but who ever said you were a hero?” Dante teased. “Heroes would never do the things you do. You could’ve moved on like a normal person but just like a rat, you’re always digging into places you shouldn’t be. A pity.”
Dante snapped his fingers, a large army of the undead crawling out from their graves like grotesque puppets.
“Kill him.” Dante then walked away, the sound of Reign’s screams filling the graveyard. A sound that came to a sudden halt, almost as if it had never even happened.
“What a shame. I was really hoping for something more… climatic to our reunion.” Dante muttered to himself before turning back. “But I do truly think she’d come to love me more.”
Dante snapped his finger, a reanimated Reign crawling towards him. A sinister smile crawling on his lips. “Don’t you think I’m more suited for (your name), Reign?”

Without Expectation
You know how everyone is talking about how Astarion has a difficult relationship with hero characters bc he felt abandoned by them when he was suffering? What if, during his 200 years of imprisonment, he’d met one? Very much inspired by this post
cw: pre-game astarion, Cazador, prostitution and non-consensual sex alluded to but never shown, healing from trauma, Astarion being sexualized, Astarion sexualizing himself, objectification, blood drinking, he’s kind of sexually aggressive in this but it's just because he’s scared and he doesn’t know anything else, reader is from a group of monster hunters that I made up who have been harassing Cazador, they are separate from any in-game monster hunters who are less Astarion friendly
Astarion x gn reader
Word count: 6k
He was charming. Pretty words, perfect hair, a dashing smile, and hollow eyes.
The second Cazador had said the word, he was all over you.
You couldn’t turn down the offer. Not for the promise of pleasure, that was the last thing on your mind looking at him.
But if you got him alone you could talk to him, outside of the watchful eye of his master.
He had you pinned to the wall of your bedroom before you could even say a word. You had to shove him back and he stumbled, a frightened, hurt look crossing his face before the practiced charm slipped easily back.
“Oh, you like to play rough, do you? That’s fine with me, I don’t mind being pushed around a little.”
“Stop,” you pleaded with him. “Please, can I just speak for a second?”
“Say whatever you’d like, darling.”
“Listen… Astarion, wasn’t it?”
He smirked at you. “It is, but you can call me whatever you'd like.”
“Astarion, you don’t have to do this.”
“Of course I don’t. I want to. Don’t you want me?” He moved to get into your space again but you stepped back and he didn’t follow.
You did your best to push past his flirtation. “How often does he make you do things like this?”
“Like this? Not often. My lovers don’t typically live to see the morning. Although I suppose it doesn’t make much difference to me,” he said with a laugh, one that felt practiced and put on.
“Oh.” You couldn’t imagine it, being forced to not only be with so many people but to send them off to their deaths night after night.
Your eyes drifted down as your thoughts spiraled and he grabbed your chin, pulling your face up so your eyes met once more, directing all your attention back to him. “Is that what’s bothering you, darling? I promise Cazador has given me very clear instructions on how well you should be treated.”
“No, that’s not the problem.” You dropped your head into your hands as you tried to figure out what to do. “God, this is such a nightmare. Listen, I can sleep on the couch, you should take the bed,” you said, gesturing vaguely at the loveseat tucked in the corner of the room.
“Come now, that’s not necessary my dear,” he practically purred at you.
You felt a little more nauseous with every pass he made at you. “You really don’t have to do that, I swear. Not in here at least. It would probably be prudent to pretend in front of Cazador but that’s an issue for tomorrow.”
“Even if you don’t want sex,” he said with a little roll of his eyes. “The couch is not necessary. I promise I won’t bite.”
It was a bad idea. You knew that much. But the bed looked so soft and comfortable and the couch wasn’t even long enough to fit all of you if you tried to lie down.
You sat on the bed tentatively and sunk into the mattress. It was by far the most comfortable bed you’d ever been in and you ran your hand along the silky sheets. “Alright, but we’ll just be sleeping,” you said with a pointed look in his direction.
In a heartbeat, you were pushed back onto the mattress and he was looking over you, his hands on either side of your head as he grinned down at you. “Are you certain, my dear? I could make you feel so good.”
“I’m sure you could,” you said with a smile, cupping his face in your hands. His eyes lit up at the contact and it was clear that he thought he’d done it, that he'd won you over. “But that won’t be necessary.”
You leaned up and pressed a kiss into his forehead before gently pushing him off of you back towards his side of the bed.
He seemed wounded and frightened by the gesture, a far cry from the practiced seduction you’ve seen from him so far. “You don’t want me.”
“I assure you that is not the problem,” you said, careful to keep your voice gentle.
He did not seem convinced, a tragic vulnerability starting to seep through his facade.
As he stared at you, a worried look plastered across his face, you grabbed some of the many pillows from the top of the bed, placing a few between the two of you.
He scoffed at the sight. “I don’t know what those are meant to stop. Not exactly impenetrable security against a rabid vampire.”
“They’re not for you. I have a tendency to get… grabby, in my sleep.”
He huffed, folding his arms as he finally conceded ground and laid down next to you. “Good. Maybe you’ll be more interesting than when you are awake.”
You doubted he’d find you snuggling a pillow particularly interesting but you let him interpret your words however he pleased.
“Perhaps. Now if it’s all the same to you, I’m going to sleep now.”
“It’s not all the same to me, thank you very much.”
“Alright,” you said with a yawn. “Goodnight.”
You woke up with your arms wrapped around a pillow from your little wall, holding it close to your chest as you eased your eyes open to see Astarion unabashedly staring at you.
He spoke as soon as he caught wind you were awake. “You weren’t kidding about being grabby, you’re practically smothering the poor thing.”
Your face warmed slightly at his words, embarrassment fluttering in your chest. “It’s an old habit. What about you, couldn’t sleep?”
“Elves don’t sleep.”
You suddenly felt incredibly foolish. “Oh. Right. So you’ve just been sitting there all night then?”
“I tranced for a while. It was certainly a more boring night than I expected.”
You yawned as you sat up, setting the pillow you’d been holding behind you. “Terribly sorry to disappoint. Hopefully, there will be many more boring nights in your future.”
He pulled back, cocking his head to the side. “What?”
You realized you hadn’t told him of your little scheme yet. “I was thinking. This whole meeting with Cazador was more of a formality than anything. He’s killed too many of our people, we need to make this deal, at least until we can figure out how to sort him out for good. But he doesn’t know that and maybe, if you’re amiable to it, I could throw in a final term to the deal. Where he has to give me… well, you. Not that you should be his to give, but I figure if I can save someone from this place and I didn’t, what kind of a monster would I be?”
His eyes narrowed. “What do you want from me?”
You shrugged. “I’d say nothing if I thought you’d believe me. If you need to rationalize it, let’s just say it’s an ego boost. Now I get to feel like a good person and you get to leave this place. As long as I don’t mess it up too badly.”
Mistrust was written across his face and it seemed like the first completely honest emotion you’d been able to pull from him.
“I don’t believe you.”
“That’s fine, we can fix that after I get you out of here.” You sighed. “Wish me luck. I’m an awful liar.”
He trailed after you as you left, seemingly incapable of letting you out of his sight.
Maybe he was. Maybe he’d been ordered to do so. You had no way to tell. It made your heart hurt, the sight of him here, the idea of Cazador’s other spawn that you couldn’t save. At least not yet.
He followed you like a loyal pup all the way to Cazador, who was lounging in a chair without a care in the world.
He chuckled at the sight of Astarion behind you. “And how was my spawn? To your satisfaction?”
You swallowed down that bile that rose in you as you said, “He was a delight. I was wondering, in the name of our agreement, is there any way I could keep him? It’s just that I’ve grown quite fond of him so very quickly.”
Cazador laughed, a putrid, callous thing. “I’m sure. He can be quite… convincing. And this would make you amenable to my terms?”
You nodded. “All the monster hunters in Baldur's Gate will focus their attention in… other places. You and yours will be entirely safe from our wrath.”
“And if we’d like to push you in the direction of another creature?”
You gave him a tactful nod. “We could be convinced.”
“Good.” He laughed once more. “Typical monster hunter. You pretend to hate us and yet you want to keep a vampire pet.”
Astarion leaned into your side and you felt a little queasy at the performance as you snaked your arm around him. “Like I said, he was very convincing.”
He sighed. “You drive a hard bargain. As you wish, you shall have your terms. Just tell me if he doesn’t behave. I can get him sorted right out for you.”
It took everything you had not to lunge at him thinking about everything he’d put this poor man through. “Of course, but I’m sure I’ll be able to manage just fine on my own.”
You got out of there as fast as you could. Even if you hadn’t had Astarion with you, you didn’t want to spend any longer than absolutely necessary with the monster.
You pulled him through the streets back to the house you were staying in, racing against the sun. You barely had enough time to get him there and pull him inside, but you had a feeling he’d prefer this mad dash over staying another day with his master.
Regardless, the whole time your eyes were darting around, looking for places you could hide him should you need to.
You wondered what you’d even do if it had come to that. Just sit with him for the rest of the day, you supposed, unless he wanted to try a risky maneuver with a thick blanket.
You tried to pull him inside but it was like an invisible wall had stopped him in his tracks. You gave him a questioning look and he grumbled, “You have to invite me.”
“Oh! I’m sorry, come in!”
As soon as the words left your mouth, he rushed in beside you and you set yourself to making sure all of the widows were fully shut, pulling the curtains tight.
He watched you dart about, tugging at the thick fabric. His gaze was judgemental but at least the emotion seemed genuine.
As soon as you were mostly certain he wouldn’t burn to death, you turned to him. “We won’t be leaving for a while so you can make yourself at home. If you need anything just let me know, okay?”
You didn’t see him for the whole day. You were busy and he made himself scarce. You couldn’t blame him. You imagined he’d long since made it a habit to avoid being seen by anyone. Anyone except his forced prey, you supposed. But still, he hid away from them, in his own way.
“Astarion, can you come look at this?” you called out as the sun finally dipped fully below the horizon, hoping he was close enough that he could hear you. And hoping he would come even if he did.
It took a few minutes but eventually he came sauntering down the stairs.
“Yes, my dear?”
You grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the window, gesturing out at the carriage that was illuminated by torches alone, shrouded in the thick darkness of the night. “Do you think it’ll be alright? The last thing I want is for you to get hurt.”
He stared out at the carriage you’d spent hours painstakingly attempting to make impenetrable to light. You’d painted the windows black, hung blankets over top of them, shoved old linens in the cracks in the doors.
He cautiously headed outside, staring at the carriage with furrowed brows. “Did you do this?”
“Yeah, I tested it during the day. It seemed pretty solid but obviously you couldn’t check then. I could bring a torch around the outside if you wanted to check for yourself.”
He looked at you like you were mad. “We could have just traveled at night.”
You shrugged. “It’s a two-day journey and I didn’t want to depend on inns and shelter along the road to protect you during the day. This seemed safer.”
He opened the door, sitting inside and looking around at the painstakingly covered windows and cracks, and you couldn’t tell if he seemed uncomfortable because he was worried about the sun or because of the sheer amount of effort you’d clearly put into it.
“Do you want anything for the ride?” you asked, pushing forward. “Some books or something? I could go get them for you.”
“Your company is all I could ask for.”
“Okay, but for real though. Never mind, I’ll just get you some books.” You doubted you’d be able to pull an honest answer from him for a very long time, if at all.
After a frenzied book run, the two of you were ready to head off, locking yourselves inside the carriage until the sun set once more.
The bumps of the carriage jostled the two of you as you rode. The flickering orange light of two lanterns, one for each of you, barely illuminated the darkened space and you couldn’t help but feel a little claustrophobic.
He was sitting, staring at you, book untouched on his lap.
You’d brought as many options as you could think of, romance novels, epics, history, a horticultural book that had pulled a snort and an incredulous look from him when he’d seen it.
He didn’t seem much in the mood for reading and under his unblinking gaze, neither were you. Instead, you stared at the painted-over window, wishing there was anything else you had to look at in the dim light.
“Admiring your paint job?” he asked with a chuckle as you continued to refuse to meet his unblinking gaze.
“Something like that.” You decided to take the broken silence as an opportunity. Anything was better than being silently stared at and you weren’t sure you’d get a better chance to ask him. “Can I ask you something that’s potentially insensitive?”
He smirked at you with that practiced allure. “Ask away.”
“Were you one of his favorites? Cazador's, I mean.”
He scoffed. “In a way. He loved torturing me more than anyone else.”
You leaned forward. “So it might be easier to convince him to part with the others?”
His eyes narrowed at you and you watched as he tried once again to figure out what your angle was. “You’ve got a real bleeding heart, don’t you?”
“We’ve been unable to hurt him for so long, failed at it for years and years. Every day you were there was because we weren’t good enough at what we did. I can’t help it, I feel a little responsible for you. For all of you.”
“Oh please,” he said with a roll of his eyes. “Like I’m not one of the monsters you hunt.”
You cocked your head to the side. “Why would you be? Who have you hurt?”
He laughed a cold, cruel laugh. “Darling, you have no idea how many people I’ve hurt.”
“You haven’t though. Cazador hurt people through you, sure. But you didn’t hurt anyone, not really. You’re a victim just as much as they were. At least we managed to save some of them.”
He squirmed in his seat. “I think they might disagree.”
You shrugged, something delicate in his eyes telling you not to push. “Maybe.”
The rest of the ride was completed in silence, not only fueled by your discomfort but now also Astarion’s irritation with you.
Your driver gave a knock on the door as the sun disappeared, just as you’d instructed him to, and you opened it to find a quaint little inn surrounded by woods in front of you.
He left to take care of the horses and you led Astarion inside, securing two rooms for the three of you. In a perfect world you would’ve gotten Astarion his own room, but his vampirism wasn’t exactly subtle and you couldn’t help but worry that some overzealous patron of this establishment might take it upon themself to rid the inn of the supposed monster.
You led him up to the room you’d be sharing and as you entered, he stood in the doorway and took in the sight.
You were quick to give him a quiet, “Come in,” but he brushed you off.
“That’s for houses, not individual rooms. I just…there’s two beds.”
You nodded. “Yup. For two people.”
He eyed you suspiciously, as if the two beds might be part of some devious scheme. After a few moments, he seemed to decide it was just a normal room and took the bed nearest the door.
He seemed paler than he’d been the night before and a horrible thought struck you. “Oh my god, you need to eat! I haven’t been feeding you.”
He chuckled. “Good luck with that, there aren’t many disposable animals out here. At least, not ones you could catch. Unless you want to let me at the horses, but that would leave us in quite the predicament.”
“I mean, you could drink from me. Not everything, obviously, but I could spare some.”
You held out your hand to him, presenting your wrist and looking at him expectantly.
“I’m not allowed to drink human blood,” he spat back at you, the bile of hundreds of years of resentment lacing his words. “Cazador doesn’t allow it.”
“You’re not his anymore. He gave control over to me and I say you can do whatever you’d like and that you don’t take orders from anyone anymore. The offer stands.” You went to withdraw your hand until his hunger bested his hesitation but he grabbed your wrist, stopping you from pulling away.
“Well,” he said with a sly smile. “As long as you’re offering, I would be a fool to turn you down.”
It was so strange how quickly it happened, how easily he could slip right back into that faux confidence.
He leaned towards you and you backed away at the hungry look in his eyes, one you were more than familiar with.
“If you really want to I’m sure there’s ways we could make this a more rewarding experience for you,” he said and in a heartbeat he maneuvered himself over you, his hands interlaced with yours and holding you to the mattress.
You pulled yourself back in an instant, leaning against the headboard as you presented your wrist to him once more.
You didn’t fault him for it. After years of surviving with it, of course he would keep trying to draw you in with his sexuality. The instinct couldn’t be snuffed out overnight.
You’d bat away his attempts as many times you needed to, try and make him understand. You weren’t sure if it would ever work, not fully, but you’d keep trying.
“It’s easier this way,” you said in explanation, giving him something to latch onto that didn’t feel like rejection.
He rolled his eyes. “Easier, I’m sure. Typical, I got a master who’s allergic to fun.”
“I’m not your master. You can do as you please, could leave now if you wanted.”
“And go where?” he snapped. “You can pretend if you must but I know what I am. I know where I stand. I am a lot of things, but I am no fool.”
“I know.”
He studied you for a moment, eyes daring across your face before he pulled your wrist towards him, digging his teeth into your flesh.
The sharp pain lasted for a heartbeat before it faded away to a dull ache. He lapped at the open wound, his put-on demeanor disappearing as he got lost in it.
He cradled your hand like it was a lifeline. In a way, you supposed it was.
You could feel yourself getting lightheaded as he fed but you refused to stop him. You would not command it of him, would rather die than force him into it. You let out a quiet whine, your form slumping back into the bed.
He drew away immediately and your blood began pouring onto the white sheets of the bed.
A moment of panic reflected in his red eyes before he grabbed the corner of the sheets, wrapping them around your wound.
“There,” he said, his voice quieter than his normal bravado. “Should keep you from bleeding out.”
Your eyes were locked on his collarbone, a dark bruise becoming visible as your blood fled through his previously starved body. The longer you looked, the more of them you could see, peeking out from under his clothes.
“Oh, you poor thing,” you said in hushed tones, hands moving to reach for him before stopping in their tracks, unsure if your touch would be wanted.
He was otherwise preoccupied, his eyes alight with something entirely new. He looked stronger, livelier. There was a warmth to his cheeks you’d never seen before.
You resisted the urge to touch him, to see if he’d become warmer as your blood had begun to run through him, bringing a new light to his eyes.
“You should get some rest,” he said, looking down at you lying exhausted and drained on the bed. “You certainly need it.”
You barely had time to laugh at his comment before you’d drifted off.
The ride back was as quiet as it had been the day before, if a little less uncomfortable. Astarion still stared for much of it but he at least pretended to read his book. The healthy flush to his cheeks seemed to come with a bit of newfound comfort and ease around you that made you puff up with pride, even if you still felt a little woozy from the night before.
“Here we are!” you said as a knock sounded on the door, opening it and leading him inside your home. It was an old manor of your family's, not particularly big, right on the edge of nowhere, and perhaps falling apart just a little but more than suitable for your purposes. “It’s a little bit of a mess but I kind of like it that way. Come on, I’ll show you your room.”
You decided to put him in a room that was just a few doors down from your own, pointing out just where he could go to find you if he needed anything.
You laid down to sleep once you got him situated, more exhausted than you typically were at this time of night. Despite how tired you were, presumably from the blood loss, you had to fight the urge to go and check on Astarion just one more time.
You hadn’t known him for long but you’d already developed an intensely protective instinct towards the man.
You did your best to put him out of your mind when a knock sounded at the door.
“Come in,” you called out. You made no attempt to suppress your smile when he peeked in the doorway.
“I think I’ve grown accustomed to your company,” he said sheepishly, and for once it didn’t seem like he was trying to seduce you. He seemed worn down, looking just as tired as you felt, a defeated air present on his face.
You were too tired for subtlety, opening your arm to him and muttering a sleepy, “Just come here.”
He seemed grateful to not have to explain himself. To not have to ask.
He sat on the bed, looking down at you where you lay.
“No pillow this time?” he asked in that snide voice he used so often.
“I can if you want. Just thought you might appreciate the closeness.”
He rolled his eyes dramatically. “Fine, I’ll be your little pillow to hug. Fair warning though, I run cold.”
You tried and failed to suppress a yawn as he got into bed beside you and you wrapped your arms softly around him. “I don’t mind. G’night.”
“Goodnight, my dear.”
Just like that, it became a bit of unspoken habit between the two of you. You felt it might honestly kill him to comment on it, to ask you for affection. But with no words, no pleasantries, there he was every night, beside you.
One night, about a week into his residence in your home, he seemed more restless than normal, fiddling endlessly with your hand, incapable of sitting still. You turned to him with a pointed look. “Come on, out with it, it’s not good to go to bed with things left unsaid.”
He scoffed. “Why not?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know, what if I die in my sleep or something.”
“If you die in your sleep, I think I might have bigger problems than things I didn’t say to you. Namely, some monster hunters who might take issue with the vampire you died next to.”
You shook your head. “No, I already told them about you, they wouldn’t hurt you.”
That seemed to take him by surprise, pulling back a bit at your words. “You did?”
“Of course I did. Now come on, out with it, what’s going on it that head of yours?”
He sighed dramatically and flopped back on his pillow. “It’s really nothing.”
“Not if it's bothering you. I want to help.”
“Did you mean it?” he blurted out, like the words had to be forced out of him quickly or they wouldn’t come out at all. “When you said you wanted to save the rest of them too?”
“Of course I did. And I will. At least if I have anything to say about it,” you said quietly, your stomach turning at the thought of the other spawn you’d left behind.
He turned from you as if you’d slapped him. “Right. I’m going to sleep in my own room. I should’ve been in there anyway, this was silly. Goodnight, darling.”
You chased after him in a heartbeat, catching up at him before he’d even managed to open his door. “Wait, what did I do? Astarion?”
He was an unstoppable force, storming into his own room.
“I don’t understand what I did,” you pleaded with him, desperate to fix it. You raked through your conversation, trying to dissect every word spoken, every facial expression. You found nothing. Shouldn’t he be happy you wanted to help them? It didn’t make sense to you.
He sat on his bed, one he’d never slept in, arms crossed and brows furrowed. When he spoke, there was a faux casualty to it, like he was trying to pretend none of it mattered to him. “I’m just making room for the next stray you let into your bed.”
You sat next to him, careful to keep your distance as you moved your head down to try and catch his eye. “You know I’m not replacing you, right?”
He huffed in response, turning away from you again.
You made sure to keep your tone gentle and soft. “You know I wouldn’t let just any vampire spawn sleep next to me, right? It’s because I care about you, it’s not just because you’re there. No one is replacing you and I promise there is enough of me to help people while also still being there for you. I will save as many of them as I can until I can rid this world of Cazador but you’re not just Cazador’s victim, you’re my friend.”
He turned to you suddenly. “Stop saying that. Stop saying you’re going to hunt down Cazador. If he catches wind of any of this you’re dead. At least, if you’re lucky you’ll be dead. And then where will I be?”
“Hey, I’ve been doing this a long time. I know what I’m doing, we all know what we’re doing. He’s not going to get me.”
“That’s why you made that deal, is it? Did all the other hunters he slaughtered know what they were doing too? You aren’t a threat to him, you are a nuisance. You need to stop,” he snarled.
You couldn’t stop. You both knew that, could see it as clear as day.
Instead, you just said a quiet, “Come on, come to bed,” and walked out of the room.
He trailed behind you, the unendable argument weighing heavy on the both of you, no more words spoken as he slipped under the sheets. You gave his hand a squeeze, trying your best to reassure him despite knowing it would never work. Not as long as he was still out there.
And then, as he leaned into your space, head brushing against your arm, something he’d been getting slowly more comfortable doing, something occurred to you that should have many days ago, back when he’d first arrived here. It was strange that he was here, now. Not just because of his uncomfortability with any sort of nonsexual closeness, but because of when it was.
Not only did elves not sleep the same way nor as long as humans did, but vampires slept during the day typically, to enjoy the night as best they could.
“I’m going to start sleeping during the day,” you said decisively. “That way we can keep doing this,” you said as you gestured around vaguely, “and you can go out, can do things with your waking hours. I’m sorry it didn’t occur to me sooner.”
His eyes widened. “You’d really let me leave?”
His surprise felt like a shard of ice through your chest. “Of course I would. You can do whatever you want. I’ll even do my best to help if you’ll ask me for it.” Another horrible thought struck you. “Wait, you didn’t think you could leave and you’ve been with me most nights. What have you been eating?”
“Whatever I could find. I make for wonderful pest control.”
Your heart sank. You should’ve considered this sooner, never put him through any of this.
“Here, drink from me,” you said, sticking out your hand. “I can get some bigger animals for you, keep them here so you don’t have to hunt for them if you’d prefer, but for now I will have to do.”
He hesitated, although his gaze was less suspicious than the last time you’d done this. Instead, he looked nervous. “You’ve… you’ve already done so much for me. I shouldn’t.”
“Astarion, you’re starving,” you said quietly, trying to reason with him.
“I’d rather not push it. Eventually, even your charity will run out.”
You shook your head. “It will not. It’s fine if you don’t believe me, I know it’ll take time, but I will keep being here for you until it sinks in. Promise.”
He laughed quietly, seeming more for himself than for you, something that had been happening more and more lately. “You underestimate my distrust, I think I could outlast you.”
You smiled back. “Challenge accepted. But until then, you need to eat.”
You held out your wrist for him, the marks from the last time just beginning to fade. He took it, gingerly, bringing it slowly to his mouth and watching your face for any apprehension.
You showed none, instead giving him a soft smile. “Go on. I don’t bite.”
That got a real laugh out of him. “That’s not funny.”
He pressed a soft kiss into your skin before sinking his fangs in, that sharp pain coming with a flutter of warmth inside your chest.
He was slower this time, more intentional as he drank. You couldn’t help but wonder if it was because he wasn’t as hungry or if it was because it felt less like his meal might be ripped away from him unceremoniously.
He didn’t get as lost in it this time, eyes flicking up to meet yours, checking in on you.
You didn’t even get the chance to try and tell him you were feeling woozy before he drew back, pulling a handkerchief you hadn’t even noticed off the side table to wrap around your wrist.
“Wouldn’t want to get our sheets all bloody,” he said as he knotted it tight around your wound.
Your hands moved slowly as soon as he released them, reaching up towards his face and giving him plenty of time to back away.
For a moment, when he first saw you reaching for him, he pulled back and you were ready to retreat and shower him in endless apologies when, as suddenly as he’d moved away, he leaned into your touch.
Gentle hands cradled his face, ones he’d flinched away from but a moment before. He leaned into them openly now, unabashedly, making a home between your palms.
He was warmer like this, with your blood rushing through him.
You pulled him closer as his head tucked right under yours, your fingers carding gently through his hair.
“I’m not going anywhere,” you whispered, barely loud enough to reach his ears, and you had no idea if he believed you.
You doubted it, doubted that you’d been able to break through all those years of his living hell so quickly. His walls had been carefully constructed for a reason, and you understood why he was so hesitant to break them down. You couldn’t blame him, would never blame him.
It didn’t really matter. You’d keep trying either way.

Okay so I think as an alpha, it’s hard to get Tamaki angry, but once he does, he goes feral.
Like normally, he has exceptional control over his instincts. He’s not as territorial as others, but there is one thing that can send him into a frenzy.
And that was someone threatening his claim.
You almost felt bad for the poor excuse of an alpha that tried his luck with you. But you’d warned him. You’d been polite, informing him you weren’t interested and were already claimed, but he insisted, was certain he could be a better alpha than the one that would dare let you out of his sight.
You figured since he wasn’t taking a hint that your best bet would be to be direct, harsh even, but it seemed bruising his ego only seemed to stoke his flame.
He didn’t seem to notice your scent changing, the smell of frankincense overpowering your usual scent of lilies and patchouli. And he definitely didn’t notice your alpha stalking over to you guys, too focused on trying to get you home with him.
The alpha doesn’t realize what’s happened until he feels the warm gush of blood running from his nose and the harsh pavement under the palm of his hands. He reaches up to assess the damage before letting out a hiss at the searing pain that shoots to his face.
Yep, definitely broken.
He grits his teeth and looks up at the fucker that dared to hit him, but isn’t prepared to come face to face with Pro Hero Suneater.
“What the fuck, do you think you’re doing to my mate?” Tamaki grits out, eyes lit with hatred for the alpha in front of him. Normally, he’s a talker. He hates when situations escalate to violence, but this guy knew what he was doing, your claiming mark clear as day.
“Hey man, I-I didn’t know-” He tries to stammer but Tamaki is quick to shut that down. “But you did, I heard her say it. Multiple times.” He blankly stares at the guy before hauling him up by his collar. “So here’s what’s going to happen. You’re going to leave with the shred of dignity you have left, and if I find that you’re harassing omegas again, you’re going to be left with more than a fucked face. Do I make myself clear?” The man’s head nearly flies off the way he nods in affirmation and Tamaki drops him where he stands.
He’s immediately on you, checking you to ensure there’s not a scratch on you before he guides you out of the park.
— —
You’re aware of how Tamaki gets after a huge display of dominance. He’s still pumped up on adrenaline and needs a way to release the frustration before becoming a recluse.
It's one of the rare times in which he loses complete composure.
As soon as you’re both through the threshold he’s hoisting you up, your thick thighs wrapping around his waist to pull him further into you.
He’s mouthing at your neck, tongue laving over your claiming mark before he kisses his way to your lips, licking into your mouth. You moan against him, his clothed cock pressing against your cunt through your panties. You feel slick pool between your legs, soaking the fabric. “Please, Tama.” You whine. He offers you a bit of relief when he reaches a hand down and rips your underwear off. “Don’t worry bunny, I’ve got you.” He murmurs into your mouth. He can hardly wait, opting to just haphazardly pull down his sweats and boxers. He jerks himself off really quick, moaning at the feeling before pushing into you.
You both groan at the feeling, Tamaki trying to quell his whimpers by gnawing at your claiming mark. You whimper as he bites the sensitive skin, cunt clenching around him.
You jerk in his arms, your orgasm already fast approaching even though it feels he’s just getting started. “Fuck, bunny. So wet f’me. Am I making you feel good?” He murmurs, big indigo eyes looking up at you. Even through spats of dominance, glimpses of your Tamaki shine through. You nod at his words, tears beginning to build in your lash line, “Yeah, gonna cum f’ you, Tama. Gonna-” The words escape you as your orgasm washes over you, mouth open in a silent scream. He works you through it, reaching a hand down to rub your clit and nibbling around your claiming mark. He slowly pulls out, easing you down as you relax. He pulls his hand from you before putting his fingers into his mouth, groaning at the taste of your combined flavor.
“You always taste so good for me, bunny.” He presses a sweet kiss to your lips. You look up at him with a dopey smile before you feel what seems like suction cups on your thighs. You look to see Tamaki’s fingers have turned into tentacles before looking back at him.
“Mind if I have more?”

Finally Getting Help (prt 8)
Masterpost
The next day was less chaotic but not by much. They had to go through everything they’d taken from the Fenton’s lab, and reluctantly accepted Danny and Jazz’s help with the task because they were familiar with the tech. That was surprisingly needed since all of their gadgets were extremely obtuse and looked like household appliances. It was honestly surprising how good Danny was with all of this stuff, he knew what everything was, how to take it apart and how to put it back together to show the heroes how it worked.
“They don’t all work for humans. Some have to be fueled with ectoplasm so they need to be constantly refueled. Dad used to wear a backpack full of the stuff ghost busters style but that’s really not practical so this one isn’t very useful to you. I can use it though,” Danny said as he screwed the last part back on the.. Whatever it was.
“Okay, but why does it look like a blender?” Tim asked, baffled and impressed.
“Oh that’s because that’s what it was built out of,” Danny said with a crooked smile. “We repurposed a lot of household items into tech. Give me a couple toasters and a microwave and I’ll have three specter deflectors ready for you before dinner time.” He said as he pressed his hand against one of the gins and it started glowing intently green.
“Here don’t drop it,” He said tossing it to Batman, who did manage to catch it. “I fueled it with three shots, just in case Vlad shows up or another ghosts threatens you. And actually even with your charms I would feel a lot better if you all had specter deflectors since you’re all involved with me now,” He sighed and rubbed his face.
“Well… we can get you toasters and a microwave but we can also get you more advanced parts if those will work better,” Bruce told Danny, gingerly holding the odd gun away from himself. It wasn’t a traditional gun so it wasn’t upsetting but he still didn’t like it.
Danny looked very tempted but he shook his head. “No I’d better do it with what I know, I can get it done faster that way and they work. I’d love to play with some of those more advanced parts though. I’m sure I can come with some fun stuff.”
Uh oh, Bruce didn’t like that look on Tim’s face, the last thing he needed was more encouragement! But Danny was the child of mad scientists, he would get along perfectly with Tim, Bruce was going to have to keep a close eye on them to make sure they didn’t accidentally make a death ray.
“You can join me in my lab later,” Tim offered hopefully and Danny glanced up at him with a borderline feral grin.
“That sounds great, I’m sure you have much better lab safety than my parents. Love engineering, would hate to die a second time.” He said it like a joke, just the way Jason tended to. Jazz laughed, but only to encourage her brother’s coping method, no one else did.
“Alright, we’ll go to the nearest home appliance store and get you some toasters and microwaves,” Bruce said.
“Hell ya, I should have been adopted by a rich family years ago,” Danny cackled. Oh dear, he’d been so traumatized yesterday Bruce hadn’t realized he was Feral. Why did this keep happening.
He informed Alfred of Danny’s request and by the time they finished going over the more confusing inventions and left for lunch the appliances were waiting for Danny in the lab that he and Tim would apparently now be sharing. Danny immediately dove on the machinery starting to take them apart with practiced hands. He seemed calm and in his element but Tim stayed to supervise, both just in case something went wrong, and because it was His lab and they hadn’t talked about rules of cohabitation yet.
Bruce left them to it. Alfred had informed him that Jason had arrived and headed straight to the kitchen without saying hello to anyone else. It wasn’t a surprise, he was closest to Alfred, he’s want to help with making dinner, and get the basic scoop from his most trusted family member before having to face anyone else. Bruce knew better than to intrude on that, but God did he want to.
Regardless of what his children thought Bruce cared deeply for all of them, and he hated that sometimes they doubted it. He wished he was better at telling and showing them, but he’d managed to convince himself it was too late for him to change so he didn’t have to face the years of mistakes and trauma he had endured and inflicted. No matter what what image he tried to project, he was still only human.
He went to his office, but he couldn’t settle to anything, he did a little bit of this, and little bit of that, and just ended up pacing the carpeted floor. He left them alone as long as he could before he gave in and went down to the kitchen.
“Sorry to interrupt, I just needed a cup of coffee,” He said as casually as he could. The looks Alfred and Jason gave him said neither of them actually believed his excuse, which was fair. “It’s good to see you Jaylad, thanks for coming.”
“Well I’m not going to miss out on a new brother am I? You gonna have this one running around in spandex too B?” He asked, raising an eyebrow, it made Bruce wince but it Was progress because he was acknowledging their familial ties.
“I’m almost two years too late to stop him,” Bruce said regretfully. “It’s been… a lot has happened. I’m sure Alfred caught you up on most of it, but I’d like to talk to you before you meet either of the siblings.”
“Trying to make sure I won’t be a bad influence?” Jason asked and Bruce couldn’t tell if he was joking or accusing.
“No, nothing like that,” Bruce said, holding up his hands. “I just want to talk.”
Jason hummed skeptically, scrutinizing Bruce before turning back towards Alfred. “What do you think Alfie, can you spare me?”
“I always appreciate your help master Jason, but I can manage on my own,” Alfred assured, sounding amused.
“Alright, to your office then?” Jason asked, turning back towards Bruce.
“Or the sitting room, whichever would be more comfortable.”
“Office,” Jason said firmly, this was the distance that he was keeping between them. They worked together now, and Jason cared for his siblings, but he kept them all at arms length. For everyone’s safety really, if they set him off he didn’t want to hurt them, and he didn’t want to be set off either. It always felt like shit. Jason followed Bruce to the office and sprawled in the soft chair across the desk from Bruce’s. He remembered being a kid, sitting properly and nervously in this chair across from Bruce hoping desperately for his approval. How times change.
“I just wanted to talk to you about the new kids” Bruce started and Jason waved him away.
“I’m really not going to corrupt them or anything, I Probably won’t be around enough to make a difference anyway.” Jason said dismissively.
Bruce took a deep breath, controlling his expression and folding his hands on the table. “That’s not it Jaylad, Alfred must have told you that the boy died and came back?”
Jason tensed and green swirled in his vision, it was the same thing that Bruce had seen in Danny when Zatana asked about Phantom. “Ya he did.” Defensive and insecure.
“It seems like he, and his sister who was sort of a caretaker to him, know a lot more than we do about the effect that that has on a person. To help us take care of Danny she gave us a presentation about it, it… makes a lot of sense. You should probably talk to her and Danny about it really but I just wanted to apologize.
“I’ve been trying to fix this, fix… you for a long time and I know I’ve been going about it wrong and I’ve been hurting you.”
“You got a new treatment plan in mind, old man?” Jason asked, his arms crossed and Bruce wished that mistrust wasn’t earned.
“No,” Bruce sighed looking down. “Really Jason I don’t, I know I was wrong. This is something I just didn’t know I didn’t know about,” He hated his own ignorance, he hated to admit it! He was Batman! The way he kept up with other superheroes was always being prepared for everything and knowing more than everyone around him, but he hadn’t even known there was something there to know!
“This isn’t about that, and it’s not about you staying away from the new kids. Exactly the opposite actually, since they know more about this, and Danny might be one of the few people who really understands what it’s like to die and come back like that, I was hoping you’d spend more time here, around them. I think it might help you both.”
“Huh,” Jason sounded, blinking rapidly because that was the most sincere apology he’d gotten from Bruce and he didn’t quite know how to react to it. “Maybe… maybe.” He hadn’t met the new siblings yet after all, maybe they’d hate each other.
“Can I meet them now?” He asked looking back up at Bruce curiously.
“Of course, the girl's name is Jasmine Fenton, called Jazz, the boy goes by Danny. Jazz is turning 18 soon, Danny is 16.”
Right Tim had mentioned that, so Danny was about 3 years younger than him then. That shouldn’t matter too much, and maybe Tim will be right about the sister and can tease Jason about it. He’d been single for a while and wouldn’t mind changing that.
“Of course, I think you should meet Jazz first, she’s protective of Danny and she hasn’t been very involved in all of this. I think she’d feel better being allowed to… vet you first for lack of a better word. Are you okay with that?” Bruce asked Jason politely.
“Sure, I don’t really care what order I meet them in and… Look Bruce I know I’m mad at you, and I was really hard on Timmy when everything was still raw. But I’m never going to knowingly hurt a kid, or make life harder for them. If I can help them I will,” Jason said sincerely.
“Jason, the girl is less than a year younger than you. You’re a kid too,” Bruce said sadly. Jason froze for a moment, Yes he was 19, his mind wasn’t fully developed yet or whatever the hell, but he hadn’t felt like a kid since his death. Even before that, the responsibility for his mother, and then the work as a hero. Bruce wanted soldiers, Jason had never gotten a chance to be a kid really.
“Whatever,” Jason scoffed, shoving his hands into his pockets and standing up, closing himself off from that sincerity. “Do you know where she is?”
“She’s in the library,” Bruce said, his lips twitching up in a smile. “She loves books almost as much as you did, though she seems to be more drawn to non-fiction.”
Jason hummed and nodded, heading towards the door since he knew his own damn way to the library, Bruce didn’t have to lead! He did follow through, he was clearly protective of these kids so of course he would want to be there when Jason met them.
When he entered the library he saw a young woman sitting at one of the tables with some sort of text book. Her back was straight and her legs tucked under the chair with her ankles crossed. It looked like she was self consciously trying to look put together. She looked up at them, blue green eyes looking him over critically, he could practically see her picking him apart in her mind and he tried not to fidget.
“Hey, it’s nice to meet you, I’m Jason Todd,” He said, walking over and offering her his hand to shake. She was very pretty, but he was surprised by his own complete lack of attraction, she just didn’t register that way, she seemed more… maternal almost.
“Ah, the dead son,” She chuckled, getting up from the table and reaching out to shake his hand, her grip was strong and her hands were soft and cool. “It’s nice to meet you, they mentioned you. Nothing bad,” She added when she saw her face. “And I don’t mean to be rude, I know some people are sensitive about their deaths being mentioned. Danny jokes about it all the time so… I just wanted to let you know that I know, and I accept you.” Jazz said with a warm smile.
Her easy acceptance caught him off guard and before he could help it he was baring his teeth at her in a snarl, defensive and probing, did she mean it? She grinned sharper bearing sharp fangs at him in a matching sign of… friendly aggression, something inside him settled. He chuckled and took a step back. “Well thanks, nice to meet someone who doesn’t look like they bit a lemon every time I make a death joke.”
“It’s your death, as long as it’s healthy you can own that however comes naturally to you,” Jazz promised, sitting back down at the desk. “I’d love to talk more and get to know you, but we can do that later. You really should meet Danny.”
“You don’t want to come with us,” Bruce broke in, sounding worried. Jason had almost forgotten he was there, he hadn’t realized how… all encompassing the short interaction had been.
“I’ll probably follow,” Jazz said with a shrug, her gaze turning stern as she looked at Bruce. “Remember what I said about never breaking up a fight,” She told him firmly.
Well if that didn’t make Jason nervous he didn’t know what did. Why would he fight with Danny? Would Danny fight with him? Why? “You really think it’s a good idea for us to meet? Why would we fight?” Jason asked her sharply.
“Of course,” she agreed, her eyes softening as she looked back at him, though her expression remained a little mischievous. “It’ll be good for both of you.”

May I request a roan & eddie & r's first outing after the wedding and roan is so happy she tells everyone "this is my mom"?
dad!eddie x (step)mom!reader —breakfast on the family moon
The sun is high in the sky that afternoon, and every breeze smells of salt and fresh flowers. Eddie turns his head one way and sees a field of lush green grass, turns it the other and finds himself looking out over the white stone monolith of the family hotel where you’re staying.
Roan climbs up onto the solid wooden table next to empty plates smeared with syrup and melted chocolate, vying for a last strawberry as big as her hand. “You want that one, bub?” he asks.
“Can I have it?”
He bites off the stem. He’s not sure if that’s disgusting, but you’ve married him now, no take-backsies, and you aren’t here to see anyhow. He spits the green into a napkin and offers the fruit to his waiting daughter. “Okay?”
“Thank you,” she says, catching it in her teeth. “All the fruits are so yummy here.”
“Don’t talk with your mouthful, baby,” Eddie says.
She shrugs, pulling her knees up. They’re red from crawling along the wooden table but unscathed, stark against the pale fabric of her dress’ skirt.
“Look,” he says, pointing at the waiter standing near the restaurant's big patio doors, “the waiter’s gonna see you climbing all over the table and getting your spit on me.”
Roan turns to look. Her behaviour remains unchanged. “Where’s mommy?”
Eddie drags her backwards off of the wood and into his lap. He kisses her cheek, her forehead, hoping to imbue the intensity of what he’s feeling on to her —he’s never been this content in his life. He’s married you, and marriage is a piece of paper and all his heroes would laugh in his face but would they? Because what’s better than finding your person, and loving them, and getting to be loved back? “She’s getting another plate for you and your good appetite.”
Roan’s been just as thrilled since the wedding. She cried a little on the plane from the changing pressure, but before and after that she’s been a vestibule of joy. She turns into his kissing to cuddle him by the neck, her arms around him and her hair tickling his throat. “Mommy said we can try surfing today.”
“I know! Do you think you’re ready to surf? We got you that wetsuit, all we need is a boogie board.”
“A what?”
“It’s like a surfboard, but not so big,” he explains, stroking her curls back from her face absentminded, eyes scanning inside of the hotel restaurant for a hint of your pale dress.
“I want a real surfboard.”
“Mm, no, babe. You can’t carry a surfboard. It’s okay though, we’re gonna be on boogie boards too.”
She leans back. “Can we have more breakfast?”
“Let’s see what Y/N brings back.”
You’re summoned by his name drop, edging toward the patio doors as you chat to one of the waiters. You’re laughing politely, attempting to point to your two Munson’s but struggling with the plates you carry, one in each hand, while drinks pressed between your arm and chest threaten to spill. The waiter takes one of your plates.
“Aw, sugar, thank you,” you say, “it’s just there. I’m sorry.”
“That’s why I’m here,” the waiter says with an easy customer service smile.
You and the waiter approach and put down the plates and cups. “Hi, baby,” you say, visibly perplexed at Roan’s huge smile.
“This is my mom,” Roan tells the waiter.
“And she’s just as beautiful as you are, hun. You are a lucky guy,” he directs his last comment at Eddie.
“You don’t know the half of it,” Eddie says.
“We just got married,” you say proudly.
“But how old are you?” the waiter asks Roan.
She holds up five fingers, and then a sixth.
“You were slow,” the waiter says to Eddie.
“It’s not his fault, we’ve been engaged almost a year,” you say, “and we didn’t know one another until not even three years ago, so–”
Roan doesn’t care about the waiter’s confusion. She reaches for you where she’s sitting in Eddie’s lap, almost tipping onto the floor as she stretches as far as her arms can go. She whines until you take notice.
“Hi,” you say, cutting yourself off to pick her up. “What, babe?”
“I love you,” she says.
You and Eddie laugh. The waiter makes a sound of understanding. “She looks like dad because you are the stepmom,” he says.
“Just mom,” you say, giving her a little kiss. “She really does look like her dad though, huh? Except he’s not covered in chocolate.”
“We can arrange that.”
You laugh against Roan’s cheek, “I love you,” you say, just for her, “I got you a bowlful of strawberries, your skin is gonna turn pink ‘cos you’ve eaten so many. Love you.”
Roan closes her eyes. She’s been smothered in love for a week straight and there’s no signs of it ever stopping. “I love you too. Let’s have melon.”
“I got some.”
Eddie nudges you back into your seat. “Alright, quick, we need to eat and sleep it off for an hour before we go surfing. Chop chop.”
“He’s so bossy,” Roan says.
“I know, baby. Don’t listen to him.”

Edit: Guys I’ve read through the comments and all and realised that it’s been interpreted way differently then what I intended it to be. This was basically supposed to be a fun take that Bludhaven doesn’t care about how Dick gets the proof as long as it serves justice and it’s the truth. This post was supposed to be one of those scenarios in movies and tv serials where the heroes uncover the crimes by taking it upon themselves even though it may be against the law, and how the officials find it hard to believe their story but since the evidence they found is actually damning and proof that the guy is innocent/guilty they let it slide, PROVIDED no one was harmed or they created violent scale incidents. Dick Grayson as a police officer and Nightwing are both highly trusted and valued so they know they’d always get the proof so the community gives them a bit of leeway when it comes to the finer details.
I noticed that the way I framed things was misleading so I’ve changed the wordings, and hope this is better gets my point across
Dick is a cop.
But Bludhaven does NOT care about rules if the job gets done.
Got proof? 100%?
“You got the job done? You got the guy? And you didn’t walk in dripping in blood or with a target on your head and three organisations coming after you?”
You’re fucking promoted.
Dick Grayson is used to loopholes, but here he doesn’t even need to offer an explanation, no one even bothers to care. This was Bludhaven and actually doing his job was almost impossible through all the invisible red tape. So he thrived in the area of greys.
Dick *rounding up criminals and placing proof that by no way could have even been found, forget legally*
His handler *looks through them* : He’s the guy
Dick: .. yeah
Handler: .. and no mafia gonna declare war on you?
Dick: uh- don’t think so?
Handler: good, book him.
It does horrify all the justice league and batfamily because now instead of the painstaking work they have to put up that explains the many missing hole in their stories of how the information was obtained legally, nightwing can just walk into the police station, leave a sticky note saying “he’s the guy for the crime, I’ll get the evidence in a month brb. Signed, Nightwing~” and no one bats an eye. Because they know he’d always get the proof, and it’s always the truth.
Sometimes an officer even just takes a photo of a guy and texts nightwing “this the guy for the Nelson murder?” And if there’s a “yep :)” then that’s that.

Yandere Miguel O’Hara Headcanons
a/n: there are two routes platonic and romantic, which will be bolded and colour-coded like this, please forgive my spanish i am breaking out my high school spanish classes.
tw: yandere themes, possessive, obsessive, and controlling behaviour, potential spoilers, suggestive themes (romantic route), captivity, canonical inaccuracies, implied neglect (platonic route)
Tumblr media
•Becoming the hero Arachnid wasn’t something you ever planned on happening. You were just going about your regular, every day life when a radioactive spider bit you. The spider that bit you gave you amazing powers that you utilized to become the amazing, the one and only friendly neighbourhood Arachnid! Then, you were suddenly pulled into another dimension that was almost exactly like yours and discovered that you weren’t the only one of well you after all.
•You, alongside other spider-themed heroes, joined forces against Kingpin in order to return to your home dimensions. However, that wasn’t your last adventure with the multiverse. Your next encounter would occur a few months after your first misadventure. Having finished fighting the Green Goblin, you were ready to end the night there. Then, a portal similar to the one that brought you to Miles’ dimension opened up. Out came a tall, well-muscled Spider-Man and a Spider-Woman
•They introduced themselves as Miguel O’Hara and Jessica Drew and informed of the Spider society they’d formed. You were offered membership by them. Well, by Jessica. Miguel was staying silent. You don’t know why, but you felt as though he was watching you. He was, of course, he was right in front of you, but this felt eerie. Your senses were telling you something was wrong but Jessica was so nice and you really were excited and honoured to be given such an opportunity. So, you take it.
Romantic Route:
•Miguel stared at you intently. He’d been watching you for a while now, observing. You resemblance was uncanny— you looked exactly like his spouse. Not his spouse exactly, but the one the other had. You looked like the partner that Miguel had grown to love alongside his daughter. A variant of them. Although he was initially against you joining, it would be easier to watch you— look out for you if you joined the lobby.
•After your acceptance, Miguel tasked Jessica with guiding you around the lobby. He didn’t trust anyone else and he couldn’t bare to do it himself. He couldn’t handle himself around you. It wasn’t just your appearance that was uncanny, it was everything. You mannerisms, habits, likes, interests, everything. How Miguel yearned for you. Yearned to feel your touch, your kiss. Yearned for the happiness he once knew.
•But that would break the canon, wouldn’t it? The memories of his world, his family fading from existence because he broke the canon. He couldn’t let that happen again. So, he behaved coldly towards you. But as Miguel continued to watch you and interact with you, he started to doubt. You were a variant of his partner, but your dimension didn’t have a variant of Miguel O’Hara. Perhaps, he rationalized, this was canon. Your fates were meant to be intertwined. He needed you and you needed him. That was canon.
•Miguel strikes when you least expect. Spends weeks carefully planning. He stalks you, memorizes your routine to a point. He assigns you a mission, not overly-difficult but not easy. Something to tire you out. With your senses dulled and the weariness from the fight left you susceptible to his attack. Quickly, stealthily and by surprise, he subdued you. His sharp fangs biting into the tender skin of your neck, paralyzing you.
•When you come to, you find yourself in an unfamiliar room. Yet there are familiar objects lying around; trinkets and photos that had disappeared. Your spidey-senses were going off the rails and that’s when he came.
“Miguel?”
•He tells you you’re here for your safety and for the safety of your dimension. Swears you’re meant to be with him, that it’s canon. Warns you of the consequences if you break the canon. You stare at him, intaking his audacity. Then, you shriek at him. Call him out on his absolute bull. Miguel sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose. He ignores your screeching and leaves. Obviously, you’re still in shock. You’ll come around.
•Almost a month later, lo and behold, you still haven’t come around to being pliant with your captor. Miguel is a man of many things, but patience is not one. He is so very tired, having to deal with Lyla’s teasing and the other Spider’s bullshit. Is it too much to ask to come home to his loving spouse? Just like he used to.
•Apparently, it is. Seeing as you aren’t his spouse, but someone he locked up, you scream at him. Unholy screeches whenever you see him. Today, Miguel’s had enough. Large hands wrap around you and slam you against the headboard of the bed you’re chained too.
“Enough.” He hisses. “¡Mierda! I won’t hear it. ¿Me entienden? You stay here. If the safety of the multiverse won’t convince then maybe the safety of your aunt will.”
•The moment the vague threat passes over you freeze entirely. You’ve lost almost everyone, everyone but her. Carefully, you suck in air. Large tears brim at the edges of your eyes. as you look Miguel directly in the eyes. His eyes, dark and dangerous, bore back into yours.
“Please Miguel,” you whisper. “I’ll stay. I’m sorry. Don’t hurt her.”
•Miguel softens at your submission. However, he still doesn’t trust you. He pulls himself off you and stalks out, leaving you laying on the bed, dazed. From that day forewords, you become more compliant. You listen to Miguel and don’t fight him. Miguel knows that he can’t keep you locked away forever. People were asking questions. With your ‘good’ behaviour, you’ll be granted more privileges. More freedom, if that’s what you can call it. You’ll never truly be free, trapped under Miguel’s watchful eyes. But you’re able to go into the lobby again. To talk with people, even if you do so bearing Miguel’s marks. You know you can’t escape him, not when he could take away the little you had left, not when he would hunt you down through every universe. For now, you know you can’t escape Miguel’s grip.
Platonic Route:
•When Miguel saw you for the first time, he felt the world stop around him. It was as though there was nobody else but you and him. You, who was the only variant of his dead child that wasn’t truly his. He watched as you swung around, mocking villains and making clever quips. Miguel’s heart ached for you, for himself, for his dead daughter and child. As he watched you, memories of holding his child as they died because of him resurface. Once more, does Miguel feel the bitter sting of grief and loss.
•Oh, how Miguel desires to hold you, to cradle you close and never let go. But he can’t, he won’t. You’re not his child. You’re not the child he failed to protect. No, you’re a child he can protect. Thus, his decision to allow you to join the spider-society, if only to watch over you and protect you. Your family clearly isn’t doing a good job at it. Miguel spends more time than necessary looking after you. Not that he meant to, of course. You were just so vulnerable. You needed guidance. You may have been s superhero but you were also a child.
•Under Miguel’s guidance you thrive. He teaches you proper fighting techniques, improves your web-shooters and other tech you have and acts as the father figure you need. His teaching method is firm yet gentle. Miguel remains stern, however, everyone notices how soft he is with you. Life is good in the lobby. To be honest, sometimes you consider staying forever. Or more accurately, Miguel implies you should.
•Yes, he was originally not going to interfere. But it was you who made the decision to stay, so obviously that meant something. And Miguel wouldn’t lie, whenever you returned to your Earth to fulfill your duties as Arachnid, he could barely think he was so worried. Every villain encounter, every scrape and bruise is another chance to fail to protect his child. Miguel gets more desperate over time. Your time in the lobby is almost exclusively spent with him. Every mission is with him, every meal is with him, almost every moment is spent by Miguel’s side. And honestly? You’re starting to get s little sick of it.
•Not that you were complaining. You’re so grateful for the opportunities Miguel gave you, but he’s so overbearing. Maybe it’s normal, you rationalize, you’re family isn’t very close. Besides, you’ve seen Peter B. Parker with Mayday. Even Miguel isn’t that clingy. Your senses are blaring danger and to get away, but your yearning for love and affection suppress them. You continue to push down your instincts until you can’t. Until you decide to listen to your doubts— only to prove them wrong, of course. However, just your luck, your instincts are proven correct. You discover a goddamn tracker implanted in your arm.
•Finally, everything clicks. Everything Miguel does? Not normal! Just creepy, especially this. Thus, you decide to leave. You dig out your tracker and stitch the wound back up. You leave the tracker where you know Miguel will find it and leave, discarding your portal bracelet. You return to your Earth for the final time, intent on never leaving again.
•When Miguel returns to find your tracker and no trace of you, he goes ballistic. You left, he can’t protect you. You’ll get hurt, you’ll die. Miguel can’t risk losing you. He travels to your Earth in search of you. There, he tracks you down to find you losing badly against the Green Goblin. You’re clutch your ribs, bruised and bloody. The moment he sees you like this, Miguel enters a blazing fury. He attacks the Goblin viciously, pounding him until a sickening crunch is heard and the Goblin’s neck snaps. You collapse, from your injuries and the shock of witnessing Miguel kill the Goblin.
•Your chest seizes, hyperventilating. You can hear your heart beat racing as Miguel turns to you. He watches you panic and slowly paces towards you. You attempt to scoot away, but you can barely move. Miguel’s mask is off. You can see his eyes being filled with the same eerie softness as the day you met. Carefully, he leans down and large hands grasp onto you. You struggle as best you can, squirming despite the pain.
“¡Ay! Cariño.” He admonishes gently. “Be still, you’ll hurt yourself.”
•Regardless of his orders, you continue to squirm. Sighing, Miguel extended his fangs and bit down on your neck. Paralyzed, you fall limp in his arms. Carefully, he maneuvers you so to not hurt you. He cradles you to his chest as he inspects you over.
“We’ll get you checked out when we go to your new room. ¿Estàts bien?”
•Unable to do anything, you lay helpless in Miguel’s arms as he takes you to your new fancy prison cell— or room as he calls it. From there, you’ll be safe. Somewhere only Miguel knows, a place he can be certain he can protect you. Yes, you’ll stay locked away in your gilded cage, guarded by Miguel. Safe from the world, from every threat but him.

Didn't Tasman always married some other girl in all the previous timelines? I think lover is justified in not trusting him one bit. Imagine if she throws that fact in his face and how all she ever wanted is someone loyal and he's never loyal to her while she always was.
You are just begging to make him angry aren't you? Our hero doesn't like to be questioned. TW: mentions of abuse, depictions of violence, language, mentions death,
You stared. You didn’t know what else to do when he presented you with a simple ring etched with declarations of love and devotion.
His eyes were shining, hopeful as he knelt and presented it to you.
Onlookers whispered, most stopping to witness history being made. The world’s hero was proposing to an average commoner after all. You could see the looks of disgust on the faces of his party members as they watched the tragic display.
You felt your stomach clench painfully, the butterflies more like cicadas fighting desperately to be freed from such a narrow space. Your hands were clammy as you wrung them together, you felt lightheaded, and it took every fiber of your being to prevent yourself from passing out from pure shock.
Why would he do something like this after the screaming fit the two of you had the night before? It was hardly a good sign that it was time to spend the rest of your lives together. Especially considering how that fight ended.
You didn’t want to think about the bruises that were hidden underneath the long-sleeved tunic you were wearing despite the blazing temperatures. If you thought about the terrible words whispered harshly in your ear, the rough hands, you thought you’d puke and ruin this heartfelt display.
“I know it took longer than we thought, but I wanted to keep my promise.”
An understatement.
A fucking understatement is what it was. You’d made the promise to grow up and get married to your childhood friend in your first life. To propose talking about an age-old promise, that had been broken as far as you were concerned, felt cruel.
Shaking your head, you tried to keep your voice soft so you didn’t embarrass him and give all of these people another reason to hate you.
“Tasman, don’t do this.”
His eyes shined, if he heard what you said, he didn’t acknowledge it as his smile grew before sealing the nail in your coffin.
“Will you marry me?”
Gasps echoed throughout the crowd, the throng of people desperate to push closer to see who the potential partner their savior was taking, to hear what you would say after being given such an honor. It would be a lie to say that you weren’t hurt by how unimpressed some of them were. You could amount it to jealousy and you were sure that’s what it was, but you couldn’t find it in your heart to blame them when they didn’t know that their hero was a monster disguised as a saint. And how could they? He’d kept it so well hidden, even you didn’t find out until this lifetime.
It was cruel to abandon you after asking you to wait for him. Marrying another broke your heart, but any hope you had of rekindling anything other than a burning disdain for your childhood friend seemed impossible when your forgiveness was usurped by his selfishness to finally take what he never seemed to want before.
The longer you stood there, awkwardly staring at him, the louder the whispers grew.
His bright smile waned and stress began to appear on his features. Why weren’t you accepting? He’d finally done the one thing the two of you wanted. It should’ve made you happy. Why weren’t you happy?
“Lover?” he said, voice strained as he debated to stand or remain kneeling.
You shook your head again. Overwhelmed by feelings that hit you like a freight train you whipped around before almost running away. The crowd parted to let you through, finally silent as they looked at their savior, struck dumb, still on his knees as he watched you disappear.
It was the wrong move.
You should’ve gratefully accepted his offer, hiding the disgusting feelings from sight until you could tell him, behind closed doors, just how you felt about even the thought of marrying him.
Instead, you ran. It was dumb. It was stupid to believe that you would have time to process your feelings before confronting him and when a hand caught your elbow just as you reached the door to the inn you rarely got a chance to leave, the ominous feeling in your gut solidified as you looked back and stared into unquestionably angry purple eyes.
You were dragged to your prison faster than you could stumble behind him and you winced when your knee banged on the stairs. He didn’t slow down, refusing to let you go until you were shoved inside the bedroom.
“Do you insist on making a fool of me?”
“I don’t know what you expected me to say.”
“Was a simple ‘yes’ too much to ask for?”
It was, but you didn’t tell him that. Staring at the floor, you rubbed a hand over your face as you tried to make sense of the turmoil you’d been thrown into.
“Where is all of this coming from?”
He grit his teeth, closing the door to your bedroom when familiar voices could be heard entering the common area. Didn’t want them to know about the trouble in paradise, even though it was clear not only from the embarrassing display but from the way the two of you would fight incessantly. About anything and everything since you were brought here.
Taking a deep breath, he walked closer to you before holding your hands in his as he looked deeply into your eyes.
“I thought my feelings were clear.” When you didn’t speak, he continued. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you. We made a promise to be together when we were younger and I want to make good on it.”
Looking into his eyes, you said, “You remembered.”
A lone tree in your hometown held your initials encased in a heart with his. The two of you promised that you would always be together and that when you got older, you’d spend the rest of your days in love and inseparable.
Narrowing your eyes, you ripped your hands out of his grip. “It’s a little late.” Pacing to the window with Tasman on your heels, you said, “We made that promise ages ago. Lifetimes ago. That tree is dead if it still even exists along with that useless promise.”
“Don’t say that. It’s not too late.”
“It is!” you exclaimed, turning to face him. “I don’t love you Tasman. The days I dreamt of marrying you and spending the rest of our lives together are long gone. They were crushed after you took that vow with someone else.”
“We talked about this,” he said, exasperated.
“And yet I’m still angry.”
“Don’t you realize how selfish you’re being?” And here it was. “Holding on to something that happened in the past when I’m trying to make up for it now. I’m trying to make this work. To make us work and you refuse to stop acting like a spoilt child.”
Typical Tasman. Resorting to calling you selfish whenever he couldn’t comfortably paint himself a victim of circumstance. It was old news. It shouldn’t have bothered you as much as it did, but the words buried themselves in your skin, threatening to rip out every violent impulse and dig up each insecurity you tried so hard to manage.
“I’m a spoiled child and yet you can’t seem to stop clinging to me despite how much I make it clear that I want nothing to do with you. Your mistakes were in the past? Well, our love is too.”
He slapped you across the face. Hard enough to knock you from your feet. Your knees banged harshly on the carpeted floors and you held your cheek as you looked up at him.
He wasn’t above putting his hands on you, but he’d never done it without warning, without physical resistance on your part.
You stared at him, frozen as he glared down at you.
“You’re acting ridiculous.” Fingers clenching and unclenching, his intimidating figure towered over you as he went on his tirade. “Have you ever thought about how I must’ve felt? Having to leave you behind? Being used as a disposable tool to fight someone else’s battles? I would’ve given anything to stay by your side, to grow up together and live a normal life, but I had to become the hero. To save the world. To save you. I sacrificed my life, my humanity to give you the chance to live freely and you’re whining about not being with me for a couple of lifetimes? I spent decades trying to forget you. Centuries! Long after you disappeared from this world. Because, unlike your existence, the hero’s fate only ends when the world does. Would you have had me tease myself with a glimpse of what happiness could have been like by coming back? Spending a single century by your side before you grew old and left me with memories of what living was?”
For all the pain in his voice, you could only think about how much your jaw ached. How devastated you felt learning of his multitude of affairs. Sure he could claim that none of them mattered, that he was doing it to forget about you, but where did that leave you? Where did it leave the centuries worth of feelings that continued to go unanswered?
Quietly, so softly that it wouldn’t have been heard by anyone other than him, you said, “It took you eight centuries to change your mind?”
You looked at him and something was off about his gaze.
Something was wrong.
What had changed? He’d abandoned you time and time again and only now did he return. He’d spent the last eight lifetimes treating you as a placeholder that he never planned on coming back to. What was so important that forced him to come running back?
Your mouth opened, slack in realization. It made you sick to your stomach to even consider, but you had to know.
“Why don’t you let me go back to my life without you?”
“What life?” he said, spitting out the words as if they were poison in his mouth. “You were an orphan, wanted by no one. You had no friends,” Because of him. “You couldn’t hold down a job.” Because of him. “You couldn’t even manage to find an apprenticeship. You had no future before you met me.”
“At least let me spend eight of my lives fucking other people and we can call it even.” you snapped. You felt fear coil in your stomach at the rage that poured through his gaze as he descended upon you. Grabbing your shirt by the collar he yanked you to your feet before he got in your face.
“You’re mine.” he said with a snarl.
There it was.
The ugly jealousy that reared its head whenever you proposed a life without him. He couldn’t bear to live with the thought of living without you, yet he refused to allow you to live a life where you could potentially forget about him.
You weren’t allowed to move on and experience life. He’d rather go back on his mind-numbingly nonsensical ideals and trap you by his side, even offering something you would’ve cried tears of joy for had it been one lifetime earlier, rather than let you go.
You didn’t think your heart could break further, but you couldn’t help it as you thought of how easily all of this could’ve been avoided if you hadn’t waited. If you would have decided to live instead of wasting away again and again.
Tasman would’ve come running back, both of you surprised and young, eyes unwearied from the knowledge of previous lives, of heartbreak and loneliness.
Of betrayal.
Maybe the two of you would’ve argued, he would claim you broke your promise by not waiting for him and you would argue that you didn’t have to remain trapped in the same town to wait for him to finish fighting and come back to you. Maybe he would’ve gotten angry and insisted that you stay and when you refused, maybe he would’ve offered to bring you with him. Making new promises of protection, promising to help fight each others’ battles, and keeping old ones of loyalty and love.
Thinking about it now, the idea felt like a distant fairytale. An unthinkable possibility looking at the man you no longer loved.
“You’re mine,” he repeated, reaching into his pocket.
You panicked when he pulled out the ring.
“To let every know, we’ll marry and make it the wedding of the century once I defeat the Demon King.”
You tried to tug your wrist out of his grip, but it was like iron. When the ring got closer, you balled your hand into a fist. You knew there was no real point in fighting him, but you had to do whatever it took to prevent this from happening.
Irritant and unwilling to play the kind hero who would never hurt a soul, you screamed as your wrist was crushed in his hand. Your fingers splayed on reflex and he smiled when he was finally able to slide the ring on your finger.
“How lovely,” he hummed almost longingly.
A silent chant set your wrist and he released it to allow you to curl into yourself on the floor. You felt little other than a dull ache, but you couldn’t forget the feeling of your wrist shattering that quickly.
“Don’t bother trying to take it off. You won’t like what happens if you do.” he said before turning and leaving the room without another word. You could hear the insincere congratulations pour in, muffled from beyond the door.

“So you must be Mrs Midoriya?”
You smiled gently as you offered her your hand, shaking it firmly with a gentle laugh. “Not yet. Midoriya is my soon to be surname.” You told the real estate agent.
It had been around two months since you and Midoriya had signed everything off and were in a contract of convenience. You had both agreed that it would be good to start fresh, to move in together while everything else- including the wedding- was being sorted. Right now you were apartment hunting and trying to do your best to find the ideal apartment for the both of you.
You stood in the private lounge of the luxury apartment building, where you had been waiting on the Real Estate Agent to appear. Ms Hanako stood proudly in stilettos and a professional skirt with a buttoned up white shirt. She smiled over at you. “Will Mr Midoriya be joining us?” She asked you.
You nodded your head. “Yes, he’s just running a little late but he said he should be here in a minute.” You informed her. Midoriya had a meeting in the last ten minutes that he said he had to go to but he promised that he would be here with you for viewing apartments today, even going as far as to clear his schedule for the rest of the day. “We apologise about that, he gets caught up in work a lot.” You weren’t lying. Midoriya was known to be quite the workaholic. He wasn’t Number One hero for no reason after all.
She shook her head with a chuckle as she lifted up her tablet to her face. “No, no it’s fine. I see here that the two of you didn’t specify a budget that you’re working with.” She said her face scrunched up a bit in confusion before looking up at you.
You furrowed your eyebrows as well, remembering that the two of you had discussed it. “Oh… that’s a mistake on our part.” You told her honestly. “We agreed on-”
“Sorry, I’m late.” Walking into the lounge was Midoriya as he took off his cap and ruffled his hair again. You turned towards him with a bright smile, Ms. Hanako’s eyes growing large at the sight of the Number One hero of the country. Midoriya adjusted the watch around his wrist before taking place next to you. “There was a lot more traffic than I thought there would be down Main.” He reported before putting a hand on the small of your back, looking down at you with a smirk mixed with a smile. “Sorry about that, my love.” He moved to place a kiss on your forehead. “Didn’t mean to keep you waiting.”
You smiled up at him with a soft chuckle. “It’s fine, honey, you’re just on time.” You moved a curl out of his face, before turning back to the still shocked real estate agent.
Midoriya smiled customarily, a smile he normally used in public appearances. He nodded his head. “You must be Miss Hanako, our real estate agent?” He asked, looking at you for confirmation.
Quickly she straightened up and bowed at the waist before him. “Mr. Deku.” She let out, her voice slightly higher pitched than she was before. “I didn’t know you were my client, I would have-”
“No, please, it's alright.” Midoriya quickly dismissed it with a chuckle. “Call me Midoriya, I’m off the clock right now.” He told her. She looked up from her bow and straightened up, nodding her head trying not to combust in front of him.
You giggled softly, finding it rather amusing. “She told me that we didn’t specify our range that we were going with.” You told him motioning towards the dark-haired woman in front of the both of you.
That peaked his interest as his eyebrows raised. Then almost like a lightbulb going on, it hit him. “Right…” He let out with a snap of his fingers. “Sorry, I forgot to fill it in when booking for the consultation.” He said with a bow of the head. “My apologies.” You felt his hand snake around you, putting his hand on your hip as he kept you to his side. You felt heat rise up your neck but you stayed as relaxed as possible to not rouse suspicion. Midoriya kept his eyes on Ms. Hanako. “How does 10 sound?”
“Million?”
“Billion Yen.” She let out a squeak at the change in zeros. You turned to look up at him, shocked knowing that wasn’t the price you both agreed upon. He then racked through his head trying to think of converting it. “How much is that? 10 million dollars? I don’t know, somewhere there.” He waved his hand off. “I’m not sure, let’s not put a price on it. If we like it, I’ll buy it.” He dismissed.
You gave him a tense smile as you nudged him slightly. “Honey…” You gave him a pointed look, it was still a bit weird calling him by his first name which is why you rather called him by nicknames instead. Not that you couldn’t call him by his given name, he encouraged it, but you were trying to get used to it on the down low first. “Isn’t that a bit much?” You asked him. “I thought we agreed on just a little less than half that price.”
“Yah but…” He turned to look down at you with a tilt of his head and a smirk. “I want to spoil my fiancé.” He reminded you. You felt a blush go to your face. “Besides, we’re buying, not renting. This isn’t like a yearly expense thing. I don’t mind spending that much.” He told you honestly. He turned back to Ms. Hanako who still seemed shocked. “So is that okay with you?”
She was frozen for a moment glancing at you before looking back at Midoriya. She nodded her head with a quick smile. “Of course, I know just the right apartments for you guys.” She assured with a smile, before motioning with one hand for the both of you to follow her. You did as she was saying, maintaining a close proximity with her as she led you two towards the elevator. “As you both know, we pride ourselves in the safety and privacy of all our residents here. Being near the centre of the city really helps commuting to and from work or any other activities here and the city. We do have many other proheroes and their families that live in our buildings as well.” She notified the both of you, scanning her hand before the elevator opened. You moved into the elevator with her as she pushed the second highest floor. “We actually had Proheroes Dynamight and Red Riot move in just a year ago.” She informed the both of you proudly, making you tighten your grip on your purse. Suddenly, you weren’t feeling so sure about living here.
You felt Midoriya move his hand off of your side and clasping your hand that was closest to him. His large hand encased your smaller one, rubbing your knuckles with his thumb lightly as to try and calm you down and relax at the news that was just told. You tightened your hold on him, squeezing his hand in gratitude. He raised an eyebrow. “Really?”
“Oh yes.” She nodded her head. “Of course, for privacy reasons, I can’t disclose where or which of our buildings they live in but yes.” Midoriya hummed, making a mental note to find out later.
The elevator dinged after a while and Ms Hanako stepped out into the hallway. “We have two apartments on this floor, both designed similarly in making.” She walked over to the door on the left. With a swipe of one of the cards she had with her, she motioned for the both of you to enter.
You looked around with wide eyes at the prestigiousness of the penthouse. The windows were huge with flawless glass panes that let in sunlight perfectly. You looked to your right at the spacious open floor plan. You noticed a second floor above you. Midoriya looked around with a raised eyebrow. “It’s like a slightly larger version of my apartment.” You heard him mutter to himself which only made you choke back a snort.
Ms. Hanako motioned around the apartment with a smile. “This is a two-floor apartment with three bedrooms, 5 bathrooms (three being in-suites), including a study, laundry room, pantry and balcony. Stands at around 6 million.” She stated as she led you through the apartment itself. You looked around with wide eyes, liking the look of it. She took you upstairs to one of the spare bedrooms before turning to the both of you. “These are one of our best apartments for ready and growing families.” She hinted with a wink.
You glanced over to Midoriya who looked over to you. He smirked over at you putting his hands on his hips. “Well, isn’t that great news, sweetheart.” He asked you, dripping in amusement as he kept his green eyes on you. He then motioned to Ms. Hanako. “We’ve been thinking of having kids.” He said with a proud smile on his face.
“Somewhere in the future.” You interjected with a tense smile.
Ms. Hanako's smile broadened as she clasped her hands together. “That’s wonderful!”
“I know, right?”
You gave Midoriya a pointed look when Ms. Hanako looked away from the both of you. He gave you a thumbs up in agreement, making you roll your eyes. After she led you around, she allowed the two of you to roam by yourselves for a moment. The process repeated as she took you to see two other apartments. After a long day of looking at apartments and shopping, you both ended back at your apartment.
Most of your items were already in boxes, sold or ready to be moved out. While the both of you looked for an apartment, you decided you would move in with Midoriya in the meantime. Midoriya grabbed another slice of pizza out of the box with a hum and a smile.
You shook your head in amusement as you leaned against the counter. “You know, for someone who boasts healthy living, I’ve nearly never seen someone who eats as much as you.” You pointed out motioning to him with the same hand that you held your soda can in.
Midoriya flicked his gaze up at you. He shrugged before motioning to himself. “I’m a big man.” He pointed out to you making you chuckle. “I’ve got to eat a lot. Stock up on calories I’ll burn later. All this muscle doesn’t sustain itself.” He nodded his head, almost proud of his reasoning towards you.
You raised an eyebrow. “Muscles or fat?” He looked at you with a gasp and a hand to his chest, deeply offended, making you laugh. There was a knock at your door. You kicked yourself off the counter and made your way out of the kitchen to the door. “Don’t finish the pizza.”
“Well I don’t feel so inclined to listen to you anymore.” He spoke filled with pettiness making you laugh.
You opened the door without checking through the peephole. “Hello- oh.” You froze as you saw who stood in front of you.
Bakugou stood with his hands in front of him. The blond prohero opened his mouth to speak but seemed just as frozen as you. His crimson eyes were stuck on you and your being, feeling choked up and without any words to say. His eyes… they were something you loved so dearly about him and yet as you looked into them now face to face you felt as if they were suffocating you. His tall demeanour seemed to soften at the sight of you. He cleared his throat straightening up in front of you.
“Y/N, I… I know you probably don’t want me in the kids' life but I promise you I will do everything in my power to be the best parent to it.” He told you. Your eyes widened once you registered what you were saying. He thought over what he had just said. “Them.” He corrected himself. “Whatever they are.”
You blinked once. Twice. Three times. “Uh… Katsuki, what are you talking about?” You asked him with a tilt of his head.
Bakugou swallowed down hard as he motioned towards you. “Your… your kid. Our kid.”
“Our kid?” You asked, motioning between you and him. He nodded his head affirmingly. You almost would have found him cute if you were still together and you weren’t mad enough to slam the door in his face. You let out a breath as you leaned against the doorway, your arms folded as you stared at him. Bakugou willed himself to only look you in the eyes, knowing that indulging in the want to look over your figure would only make this situation worse. “Katsuki, I don’t have a kid.”
At first, you saw the wheels turning in his head. His face fell at the statement as he stood in the hallway with wide eyes for a moment. “You don’t?”
You shook your head. “No. I don’t know about you,” You stated, motioning over to him. “especially with all your choices during our relationship,” You saw him close his eyes with a deep sigh as he looked away from you for a moment. “But I don’t have any children that I know of.”
“The kid that was-”
“With me when the building caught on fire? My friends. Not mine. So if we’re done here, I’m hungry.” You turned to go back into your apartment, moving to close the door, however you heard an odd thud when you did. You furrowed your eyebrows and looked down to see Bakugou’s black boots blocking your door from closing. You opened the door more, looking at him heavily annoyed. “Katsuki, please leave.”
“Y/N, please.” He let out lowly as he put a hand to your doorway as if that would have stopped you from slamming the door in his face. He hesitated for a second but you saw his face fall, he looked down to the floor for a moment before looking up at you again. “I know I fucked up, big time. I know it feels as though I’ve wasted your time and you want nothing to do with me.”
“You’re wrong, I don’t feel Katsuki. I know you wasted my time.” You pointed out with furrowed eyebrows. “You cheated on me.”
Bakugou swallowed down hard but nodded his head. That was something that took you a bit by surprise. “I did. I did cheat and I’m sorry. Please, all I ever wanted was for you, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known,” He motioned to you, your expression dropped as you looked away from him. “to be with me.” You opened your mouth. “Yes, I know what you’re going to say but Eijiro loves you too. You know how much he loves you. Don’t act as if you were oblivious to it.”
You frowned, tightening your grip on your door handle. “I wasn’t oblivious to it, Katsuki, I just didn’t act on it. I respected you enough not to.” You pointed out. You let out a drained sigh as you moved to massage your eyebrows. “I’m tired, Katsuki. Please leave.”
“Y/N wait-”
“Hey, Y/N, sorry to bother you but is it okay if I order another pizza?” You heard Midoriya chirp in behind you as walked into the hallway, being able to be seen by Bakugou. He had his phone in hand as he stared down at the screen. “Cause I really couldn’t resist eating that last sli-” He looked up and his eyes caught on the blond. He perked up. “Oh…” He slowly made his way to stand behind you. “Hey Kacchan.” He greeted.
Bakugou looked at the green haired hero in disbelief. His eyebrows furrowed as his face scrunched up almost in a mix of disbelief and also disgust. “Deku? The fuck you doing here?” He asked motioning to you.
Midoriya motioned back to the kitchen innocently. “Eating pizza.” He said simply. Bakugou gave him a pointed look in annoyance, showing that he wasn’t buying that. Midoriya took a step closer to you, coming up right behind- you making you let out a breath. He moved to encase your hand around the door handle, silently taking control of the situation. You looked down at his large scarred hands that were over yours, so much bigger and experienced than yours and yet held nothing but affirmative action behind them. “What are you doing here, Kacchan?” He asked with a tilt of his head as he furrowed his own eyebrows.
Bakugou let out a breath. He motioned to you. “I’m here to talk to YN.”
Midoriya looked down to you, his expression automatically easing as he looked down at you. “Are you done speaking to him?” You wordlessly nodded your head. He smiled. “Great.” He looked up at Bakugou. “Looks like she’s done talking to you. Goodbye, Kacchan.”
Once again, Bakugou stopped the door from being closed in his face. Midoriya glanced down at Bakugou’s hand that was on the door and then looked back at the blond. You saw his expression darken at the action, a serious frown on his face. “Now hold on, Deku. I’m not here for you, I’m here for her. Now why don’t you mind your own fucking business and go back to eating your pizza.” Bakugou let out with a scowl.
Midoriya didn’t answer for a moment, just staring at the blond for a moment. He stepped out of the way. “You know what, come in for a second.” He said with a serious look on his face. You looked up at him wondering what the hell he was on about. Midoriya however, didn’t look at you as he allowed Bakugou through.
The blond put on a smug smirk on his face as he stepped past you and Midoriya into your apartment. Midoriya closed the door behind him, keeping his eyes on Bakugou. He was silent as he followed Bakugou. “Now, do you mind, Deku. I’ve gotta talk to-” Suddenly dark green tendril wrapped themselves around Bakugou restraining the blond hero. His eyes widened. “THE FUCK YOU DOING!” Bakugou shouted at Midoriya who had a rather emotionless expression on his face as he stared at the blond. You watched as Blackwhip had itself wrapped around Bakugou. Midoriya walked over to Bakugou, picking him up effortlessly. You watched silently as Midoriya marched over to your balcony, opening the sliding door. Immediately you felt your heart drop out of your chest as you watched with wide eyes. “DEKU! YOU SLIMEY FUCK! LET GO OF ME!” Bakugou shouted as his hands flexed at his sides trying to hurt Midoriya to force him to let go of him.
Midoriya marched onto your balcony. Without looking at Bakugou, he threw the blond off your balcony. You gasped as you slapped a hand over your mouth. Midoriya dusted his hands, blackwhip no longer activated as he marched back inside, closing the sliding door. He looked over to you with a smile. “So I can order another pizza right?” He asked you horrifyingly casually as he walked back into your kitchen.
Your heart was thumping in your chest as you looked back at your balcony. You were hoping maybe by some odd miracle maybe you were just delusional but you knew you weren’t. You glanced over to Midoriya, watching as he picked up his phone and started placing another order for pizza.
Noticing your silence, Midoriya looked up at you. He waved his hand down. “Don’t worry, he’s fine.” He stated casually as he shrugged. “It’s not the first time this has happened. It’s rather therapeutic, heals my inner child.” He told you as he tapped another button.
You motioned to your balcony. “What if you killed him!” You shouted.
“Oh I wish.” Midoriya looked up at you with a nod. “He can save himself. His quirk is good for doing that.” He motioned over to the side. “Actually…” He faced the screen of his phone towards you. He lifted up three fingers. Then two. Then one. Suddenly his phone started ringing, KACCHAN. Midoriya swiped accept as he answered the call. “Yes?”
“DEKU, I’M GOING TO FUCKING-”
Midoriya hung up the phone. He looked back at you with a smile. “You see, he’s fine. So what pizza do you want?” You stood in disbelief as you looked at him. You just blinked at him trying to grapple with what just happened. Midoriya looked at you. “I guess that’s a margarita.”
You sat next to Midoriya as the limo moved forward, today was the first time that the two of you would be seen at a press event together. It was another hero gala with a bunch of champagne, awards and slow dancing to make the elitists happy. It was a big deal coming in here as the fiancé to the Number One hero, having to stay by his side as he talked to big figure names like the Prime Minister, the Minister of Safety, the President of the Hero Commission and other board members. It was a serious occasion.
In light of the occasion you were dressed to match. You wore an emerald green dress that hugged your figure before falling naturally down around you causing a bit of a train around. Your sleeves were puffed and came to your elbows but made the look seem sexy without too much skin and underneath all that, red bottoms that Midoriya had gifted you. You let out a breath as you sat with your hands on your lap.
Midoriya let out a chuckle. You looked over to him and his smug self. You looked him up and down suspiciously which only increased the green haired man’s amusement. “And what are you giggling at?”
Midoriya shrugged, he sat in all black but his tie and waistcoat were the same luscious green as your dress and his hair. He adjusted the chain connecting his collar to his breast pocket. “You’re nervous.”
“Aren’t you?”
He shook his head denying it with a small frown. You both would be last to enter the hall as it was customary for the Number One. It only built up the suspense you had. “No. Not really.” You looked down at your lap for a moment trying to get a grip of yourself as your stomach twisted into knots. You swallowed down hard as you tried to focus on your lap, you didn’t notice much of what Midoriya was doing. He slowly took your hands, rubbing over your knuckles gently as he put your hands together encased in his. He gave you a smile, a soft and endearing one. “We’re doing this together, okay. That’s why I’m not nervous. I’m not alone and neither are you.” He reminded you. “You and I are going to walk out of this limo, and pose like we are the hottest couple to ever set foot in Japan-” You couldn’t help but smile and scoff at that, making Midoriya’s smile widen. “-Cause we are, and enter that hall like the world is waiting for us- because it is. We are here together.”
You smiled softly at his words. It was an odd thing about Midoriya that also made him an amazing hero. It was how humble and kind he was. When it came to his words, he could say the most inspirational things to lift one up all with a smile on his face. You tightened your hold on him. “Thank you…” You told him honestly. You hesitated but smiled. “I-Izuku.”
You saw his demeanour soften at you calling him by his given name. “Of course...” He leaned closer to you with a slight smirk on his face. “Future Mrs. Midoriya.” You rolled your eyes as you nudged him, only making him laugh. “Talking about that, you did get all the invitations printed and sent digitalised, right?” He asked.
You nodded your head. “Yes, they are all just waiting for the end of the evening and then they’ll be in people’s inboxes. I’m also going for my dress appointment next week.”
His eyebrows shot up in surprise. “Really? Can I come?”
“No!” You said laughing.
His face dropped in disappointment as he frowned. “Why?” He whined, his mouth in a slight pout as he looked at you very seriously.
“Why?” You asked confused but still laughing. “Cause you can’t see me in the dress before the wedding day. It’s bad luck.” He grumbled at that, only making you laugh some more.
The limo finally came to a stop and you finally heard the loud shouting of the media, preparing for you and Midoriya to exit out of the limo. He looked over at you and you at him. He took your hand and raised it to his lips with a smile, kissing your knuckles. “Let's go take over Japan for a night.” He smirked. You couldn’t help but stifle a short giggle.
The door was opened for Midoriya and the moment he came into view, instantly the cameras started flashing. It was borderline assaulting with how much the flashes were going off and yet he already had his camera smile ready as he stepped outside of the limo. He straightened up his jacket for a moment before offering a hand to you. You took his hand and stepped out onto the red carpet. You smiled up at him, a lovesick smile as he led you down the carpet.
The both of you stopped to take some pictures, Midoriya only smiling at the press for a moment before looking down at you and keeping your eyes on you. You glanced up at him before giggling and moving your head to nudge him slightly. “You shouldn’t be smiling at me.” You told him, looking up at him with a gentle smile on my face.
Midoriya shrugged. “Why not?” He stated, motioning forward for the both of you to head over to the paparazzi to answer one or two questions before moving forward. He looked up at the sea of photographers and instantly they were all shouting his hero name. It was borderline overwhelming. He stepped forward to one of the reporters and there was an instant hush over them to hear the question and his answer.
“ProHero Deku, we’d like to congratulate you on spending the last five consecutive years as the Number One hero of Japan. It’s absolutely outstanding!”
Midoriya pulled on a sharp smirk on his face. “Thank you, it’s still surreal to me. It still feels like that first year, whenever people would call for the Number One hero, I would always be looking for him.” His comment caused you all to laugh as more questions came flying.
“Is Miss L/N your date for tonight?”
Midoriya looked down at you, squeezing your hand as he gave you a look that made you feel as though you were the only thing worth looking at in the world. You didn’t know how he did it. How with just one look that he was doing, he could make you feel so speechless. “Well… as my fiancé, I would be worried if I didn’t bring her as my date.” That one answer brought an uproar of more questions.
“How long have you been together!”
“When did you get engaged?”
“How does it feel like to be in a relationship with the Number One hero, Miss L/N?”
You chuckled as you leaned forward to answer. “It’s an absolute dream. He’s…” You let out a sigh as you looked up at him. His green eyes are always staying on you. “He’s such a pillar of strength to me and I honestly feel so lucky every day. He’s an absolute sweetheart.”
Midoriya raised a hand indicating that the two of you were done answering questions. However, calls for a kiss started to sound, making a flustered look go to your face. Midoriya seemed more amused by it than anything else. He looked down at you with a smirk, making you face him. “What do you say? Should we give the people what they want?”
You shrugged. “Whatever you want…” You stated as he pulled you in against his chest your face close to his as you looked up at him, moving your left hand onto the side of his face, making sure the engagement ring was in sight. “Izuku.” You whispered. “Mr. Number One Hero.” You smirked, being unable to help yourself.
Unprecedentedly he let out a low groan as he pulled you in for a kiss. In that moment everything felt like it stopped as you felt your heart stop too. It was warm and soft and yet eager as he kissed you. It was also over all too soon for your liking and immediately you hid your face from view in embarrassment for a moment as you heard in chuckle. However, you felt underneath your right hand, his heart was thumping out of his chest, racing almost as if it would burst out.
With a wave from the both of you, you joined hands as you made your way towards a waiting hallway before entering the hall. The background of people buzzed around you, making sure that everything was perfect. They adjusted Midoriya’s white signature cape on his shoulders, as well as your dress at the bottom to make sure that there was the perfect entrance for the both of you. You moved to hold onto his arm rather than his hand.
“You’re gonna make us cause scandals, Izuku.” You whispered up to him.
He kept facing forward, a perfect profile as he smirked, pushing a dimple to his freckled cheek. He chuckled, putting a hand over your own, giving it a squeeze. “Good.”
“Announcing his excellency, the Number One ProHero of Japan, ranked Number Three in Asia, ProHero: Deku, along with his fiancé, Miss L/N.”
At that the doors opened revealing the decorated hall to the both of you. Midoriya led the both of you forward, his cape flowing behind him as he walked with you next to him. He had a resting smirk on his face as he walked forward. It was like he knew the presence he carried, the power he had as he walked forward. His eyes seemed to almost hide everything and yet show what you could only assume was all to you. Dangerous poisonous green eyes that would swallow anyone up with a single glance. You tightened your hold on him as you stayed at his side, smiling at other ProHeroes that were nearby.
Midoriya led the both of you around, greeting a various number of highly important people, some you had only been able to see on TV alone. You smiled and acted nice and pretty. You were much more than a pretty face and luckily there was a lot of attention on this new pairing that was you and Midoriya, so you didn’t have to act like just Arm Candy. However, even as you went around the hall you could feel a particular set of crimson eyes on you, it was like they were drilling a hole into you.
You only looked at him when it was time to get seated in order for the event to start. That’s when you saw the furious gaze of Bakugou Katsuki on both you and your fiancé. Bakugou sat in his seat, a silent rage about him as he watched the both of you make your way forward. His gaze of almost disgust and yet also disappointment felt like a weight on your throat. Feeling almost sick at the pressure his gaze had on you, you flicked your gaze to Kirishima. Kirishima looked between you and Midoriya almost as if he could hardly believe it- and yet the moment his eyes met yours, he looked down away from you.
It was only then when he left your gaze did you snap yourself back to reality. You raised your head as you kept to Midoriya’s side. You finally reached the table. He pulled out your seat first, motioning for you to sit down. You smiled as you sat down, him pushing in your chair and then him sitting down himself. There was no time to communicate with the people at your table as immediately the event began.
The event started with acknowledging some retired heroes now turned alumni, and all that they had done for the hero community. Then there were some long service awards going in intervals of five years, which lasted a bit longer than you thought it would. During the whole time you tried to focus on the event and Midoriya sitting next to you as well as Mina who sat next to you. However, it was hard when you felt Bakugou’s eyes on you most of the time. You tried to ignore him as best as you could.
Finally, it was almost time for the break with only one more award to be handed out before the rest of the evening would be mingling, some dancing and dinner.
“We’ve come to that part of the night where we have to celebrate our top hero of the country,” Hawks spoke from the top of the stage, being MC for the night just like  he was for most hero events. You turned to look at Midoriya who tried his best not to get flustered at it all, still an element of humbleness to him. “We’d like to acknowledge and award our Number One Hero, ProHero: Deku, the hero of peace and justice for all he has accomplished for not only the five consistent years of being Number one, but for all the efforts he has accomplished for the hero community. From the privacy of Hero only hospitals, greater access to the legislative system in terms of cases and more supportive laws for self defence and quirk usage, Deku has done much for the hero community and this nation. And for that I’d like to call the Number One to the stage.” He stepped to the side clapping his hands as an assistant brought a clear crystal award onto stage for Midoriya.
You clapped along with the rest of the hall. Midoriya stood up, putting a hand up to acknowledge everyone around him. He turned to you before leaving, making sure to give you a peck to your lips. You reminded yourself to keep your expression up to not look as shocked as you were as you watched him leave and go up onto stage. Midoriya climbed up the stairs up to the stage, giving Hawks a hug making the blond’s eyes widen for a moment before letting out a laugh.
Midoriya accepted the award before being ushered to stand at the mic (which was luckily adjusted to his height.) He looked around at the hall for a moment, letting out a breath. “Everything I’ve ever done was to achieve my dreams to become a hero and I am unbelievably lucky to have been able to achieve that. Now, because I know that we,” He motioned at the hall, “all know that I could stand up here and talk us into the next era, I’m gonna try and keep things short. I have to thank first and foremost, my mentor, All Might.” Midoriya paused for a moment, swallowing hard at the mention of the older hero that had passed just two years ago. He lowered his head for a moment before forcing a smile on his face. “I also need to thank all my friends, teachers, fellow heroes, every single worker at Deku Agency and most certainly…” His eyes moved to you despite the bright lights on him. It was almost as if he could find you even in the darkness of the crowd. You smiled at him. “My fiancé, Y/N.” His freckled cheeks pushed up to a beautiful smile. “I don’t think these past few years would have been as vivid and beautiful without you in them and for that, I am forever grateful for you. Thank you.” He bowed his head to everyone, moving back with a wave as he was escorted to the wings away from the spotlight.
“For the time we’ve all been waiting for… Dinner.” Hawks spoke with a huge grin.
The lights of the hall increased some more allowing you to all see much easily. You let out a breath as you turned to straighten yourself out and turn to the rest of the table. You noticed very quickly that a lot of them were staring at you. You looked around at everyone for a moment before picking up your champagne glass.
“THAT RING!” Mina took your glass out of your hands and took your left hand into her own. She inspected the green sapphire engagement surrounded by diamonds. Her eyes widened as she looked down at it with awe. “It’s so pretty! Where did he get it?”
You chuckled as you shrugged. “I actually don’t know, I never thought to ask.”
“How come?” You heard the gruff voice of your ex-boyfriend disturb your conversation. He looked at you with a horrible scrutinising gaze.
You looked over at Bakugou but to his surprise you had forced a smile to your face. “I got swept up in the proposal, I didn’t really didn’t think about it. It was just…” You sighed as you turned to face Mina with a sweet smile. “He had decorated the entire penthouse with flowers and balloons, had all the lights off and had lanterns and fairy lights everywhere-”
“WAIT!” Denki shot out of his chair to move to crouch near you and Mina to hear all the details. “I have to know. You kept this from me and now I expect to know every detail.” He stated, glaring up at you with a pointed look.
You chuckled. “We didn’t want to be in the spotlight and it kinda just-”
“Took us by surprise.” You turned to look up at Midoriya who approached the table once again.
Your smile broadened. “Congratulations, Izuku. You deserve it.” You reached over and took a hold of his hand.
Midoriya hummed with a smirk on his face. He leaned down. “Thank you, my love.” He hummed out, moving his hand to your neck. He tilted your head up to meet his, keeping a possessive hold on your neck. You felt time freeze for a moment as you felt something stir in the pit of your stomach, knotting up and aching for a second. You knew the feeling all too well, but yet you hadn’t felt it in a long time.
You chuckled into the kiss. “For a hero, you know little self-control.” You spoke against his lips.
He smirked, moving back with a shrug, sitting down in his seat. “You can’t blame me, when it comes to you.” He faced back to everybody else, keeping a hand on your thigh. He lifted up his glass of champagne to his lips, taking a much needed sip before his eyes landed on Bakugou. He smiled. “Kacchan, I actually need you to come over to my place soon, I’ve gotta ask you something.”
Bakugou was in no mood to talk to Midoriya nor interact with the green haired hero. Hell, his whole event was ruined by this farce that was happening in front of him. You? In love with Midoriya? You had got to be shitting him. After all that the two of you had been through together, how much you knew about Midoriya and him, and yet here you were sitting next to Midoriya with an engagement ring on his finger. It made the blond feel so angry that he felt borderline sick. Kirishima glanced at the blond, he put a hand on Bakugou’s thigh trying to calm him down.
Bakugou took a sip of his own champagne, putting down the glass aggressively. “Why don’t you just ask it right fucking now?” He shrugged in his black suit. He leaned back. “Since you seem so filled with surprises today, Deku.”
“Katsuki.” Kirishima reminded him quietly to behave.
Midoriya seemed to hesitate. “Are you sure? It’s a pretty private thing Kacchan. I don’t want to put you on the spot-”
“Just spit it out you damn fucking-”
“Would you be my best man?”
The whole table went silent at the question. You tried to keep a calm face as you internally were smacking Midoriya on the back side of the head for such a question. You weren’t sure what he was thinking of, doing this. Denki’s mouth was in a straight line as he too didn’t pull a joke, finding the tension too heavy. Everyone looked at Bakugou. Even Shoto, although seemingly very quiet and sticking to spectating, watching expectantly.
The blond didn’t seem to move for the second, processing Midoriya’s question. He tilted his head, his hands balling up the table cloth and smoke coming out of his palms. “What?”
Midoriya smiled gently. “Will you be my best man?” He looked down for a moment, almost bashful but he then looked at Bakugou as if he was being genuine. “I’ve known you all my life, Kacchan. You’re like a brother that I greatly dislike but a brother none the less. You have done so much for me. You’ve followed me to UA, we’ve worked countless times together, hell, you are even the reason why I can marry the love of my life.” Midoriya glanced at you. You knew what he was doing. It was buried deep in those poisonous green of his eyes. He was riling up Bakugou and it was damn working, almost too well. If Bakugou could look more murderous, he could. “I feel like it is only right as my childhood friend, that I ask you if you want to be my best man at my wedding to Y/N.”
At first Bakugou was silent as he dropped his head trying to will himself not to cross the table and murder Midoriya right before his very eyes. He dragged a hand down his face before you started hearing soft chuckles. You raised an eyebrow as Bakugou slowly started to laugh. Soon the blond was down right hysterical as he put a hand to his head as he laughed. You glanced at Midoriya, wondering if this was him officially breaking the blond, however he didn’t look away, he stayed looking at Bakugou.
Bakugou let out a sigh as he wiped tears from his eyes. He looked over at Midoriya nodding his head. He motioned to the green haired man in front of him. “Fuck you.” Without a second thought, Bakugou stood up from his chair and left the table. Bakugou didn’t look at you as he turned his back on all of you and walked away to God knows where.
Immediately Kirishima stood up to go and follow Bakugou. “Katsuki!” He turned back to the whole lot of you. He bowed his head to Midoriya. “I’m sorry about him, Midoriya and-” It was almost as if your name got caught in his throat. “And Y/N.” He quickly apologised as he went racing off to go follow Bakugou. Now that you were watching it away from being obligated to follow Bakugou’s side, you realised just how tiring it was sometimes.
“Midoriya.” Midoriya turned to his right to look at Todoroki who was looking at him as stoic as ever. He had his silky mismatched hair cascading down his shoulders, but a few strands were tied up behind him. He tilted his head to the side. “May I be your best man?” He asked shamelessly, making Sero snort in amusement.
Midoriya nodded his head with a genuine smile on his face, dimples appearing on his cheeks. “Don’t worry, Shoto, I knew he was going to say no. I was going to ask you but thank you. I would love it if you were my best man.” He chuckled in amusement as he made sure that Todoroki knew that he had the position. Todoroki nodded his head, glad that he had gotten himself in as Midoriya’s best man.
“Obviously, I’m going to be the flower girl.” Denki stated as he motioned to himself with pride. You rolled your eyes but chuckled.
“How dare you hide this from your mother!”
“OW! OKAASAN!”
You watched in pure amusement as the tall, large Number One hero, Midoriya Izuku, was being attacked by a white slipper by a woman half his size. Midoriya Inko, who you found out would be your future mother-in-law. She had a furious expression on her face as she swatted her son with her slipper, pulling on his ear so that he couldn’t escape her fury. Midoriya was forced to bend in an awkward position in order to accompany how short she was.
“You didn’t think to tell me that you were getting married!” She chastised as she slapped her slipper against his shoulder. The short round woman frowned up at her son, clearly offended at being left out of the loop.
A beautiful golden retriever scampered into the hallway where you all were. She barked up in happiness at seeing Midoriya however she went over to you, sniffing at your body. You smiled as you crouched down, putting a hand to her head as you pat her behind the ears. She sat down obediently with her mouth open as she panted. You checked her nametag. “Mighty Molly”, you read. She was a beautiful dog and really well trained.
Midoriya let out a small yelp. He furrowed his eyebrows as he sent his mother a glare. “I already told you, Ma. It’s more like an arrangement than me withholding information from you- Will you stop!” He let out annoyed at the constant slipper attacking his shoulder. You knew that if Midoriya really wanted to, he could have easily stopped Inko. He could have easily disarmed the very threatening woman and won the little battle between them, but you knew he wouldn’t do that. He seemed too much of a Mama’s boy to do so.
She let out a huff as she folded her arms and put her slipper back down on the ground. “Arranged or not, this is the person who will take your name and become part of the family.” She reminded him with a pointed look. She slipped her sock covered foot into the slipper and turned to you. She smiled up at you as if she had not just assaulted her son in front of you. “Welcome my dear, I hope you like pork Katsudon!” She let out chirply as she motioned for you to follow her to sit down at the table.
You chuckled and followed her, paying no mind to her grumbling son behind the two of you in the hallway of her apartment. “Thank you and I do.” You told her as she motioned for you to sit. You sat down at the table, happily with a smile for dinner that she had prepared for the two of you. “You have a lovely home, Mrs. Midoriya.”
“Thank you. Izuku grew up here.” She informed you. “And please, don't go by Mrs. Just call me Mama Midoriya if you want, it's what most of Izuku’s friends call me. Or Inko, that’s just fine too, dear.” You raised your eyebrows in surprise. You had heard that Midoriya didn’t grow up as privileged as his fellow former classmates and it made a lot of sense to you. As much as he knew he had money now, he wasn’t as flashy with it as your ex was or some of his classmates. She quickly snapped her fingers at her son. “Izuku, come sit down.” She ordered. Midoriya pulled out the chair opposite where you sat but he pulled out a chair for his mother as well. He moved without being asked to grab two bowls of katsudon, laying them down in front of you and one for his mother. Inko facial expression softened and so he sat down without complaint. She turned to you. “So… I heard that the two of you met through Katsuki.” She started.
You nodded your head. “Yes, in an essence.” You watched Mighty Molly position herself beside Inko, lying down on the ground.
Midoriya scoffed as he placed his own bowl at his place and sat down. “Ma, you don’t have to act oblivious.” He points out, putting his hands together. You all said thank you for the food and you could start eating. Midoriya picked up his chopsticks and looked at you. “She knows that you and Kacchan were together.”
You looked over to Inko. She gave you a tense smile making you giggle. She sighed as her shoulders relaxed. “I’m sorry, my dear but everybody knows.” She told you, nodding her head. “However, when I was talking to Mitsuki,” You paused at the mention of Bakugou’s mother. “She always talked about how happy you made Katsuki and how much he tried to make you happy. Honestly, she had been pressuring him to propose right before you two-” She paused as she noticed your slight frown. You swallowed hard hearing that.
It was hard not to think about. It was hard not to think about having to apologise to his parents as to why you had broken up with their son and having to omit the truth. It was hard hearing all about how much of an amazing couple the two of you were only for it to have ended in shambles, ended with the two of you away and split up from one another. It was hard learning that Mitsuki was pressuring him to propose to you when you had called it off.
It wasn’t your fault.
Inko softened, her face apologetic. “I’m sorry, dear. I didn’t mean to…”
You shook your head forcing a smile to your face. “No, it’s okay.” You let out a bit of a forced laugh. “Mitsuki reminds me a whole lot of her son. The two are more often than not, very much at odds, despite being so similar.” You pointed out.
Midoriya nodded his head in agreement, mouth full of delicious Katsudon as he did so. Inko agreed with a giggle. “Honestly, I don’t know how Masaru manages both of them.” She stated amusedly. You agreed as well, tasting her food. You perked up at the taste of the meal. You looked up at Midoriya who was basically devouring the bowl in front of him. You smiled at the sight. You understood why he loved it so much if this was how his mother cooked it for him. Inko looked between you and her son. She smiled dearly. “I hope you know that my son…” She started softly as she looked down at her own meal for a moment before looking at you. “He’s a good man.” She nodded her head with a smile. “I know he’ll treat you well. He does get really busy sometimes and I often get worried for him, but he does everything wholeheartedly. I don’t know what made you say yes to him,” Midoriya gave his mother an offended look that she ignored. “but I am glad to see that he has someone, even if the two of you have nothing romantic going on. I just pray that you’ll be good to each other. I was worried he would die a rake.”
Midoriya paused for a moment, finally stopping his inhalation of food. “Excuse me, ma, but I’d like to remind you that I am ranked the top eligible bachelor in Japan.” He reminded her. “Well… I was ranked before the whole fiancé thing.”
She turned her head to him sharply with a pointed look on her face. “Most eligible bachelor and yet you could only have a long-term relationship by having it arranged.” She threw back at him.
You snorted as you covered your mouth at what she had said to her son. Midoriya opened his mouth but quickly closes his mouth and his eyes at the same time, holding his tongue. No doubt he was gonna say something that would probably get him kicked out of the apartment. You shook your head, not surprised one bit.
You let out a sigh and looked over to Inko. You gave her a genuine smile as you sat up straight. “Mama Midoriya,” You started as you took her attention towards you. “I won’t lie and say that the reasons your son and I decided to get together weren’t selfish in some sort of way, as any contract is. It was to get something out of it… but, I can promise you know that when I signed it, I took my new role as your son’s future wife very seriously.” You looked at her straight-faced, as transparent as you could be. Inko smiled in relief and continued to listen. “I don’t believe in forever. Not anymore. However, I do believe in commitment and communication. I promise to you that I’ll do my best to be a good wife to your son and care for him in a way that would never have you feel as though he isn’t being taken care of in whatever capacity he allows of me. You’re a good mother and you raised a good son. I am honoured to be welcomed into the household that you built, ma’am.”
Inko was looking at you with a wobbly smile as big fat Midoriya tears lined her eyes. She looked to her son with the same brink of emotions as she did to you. Midoriya let out a soft chuckle. “Are you okay, ma?” She nodded with some crippled whimpers, covering her face, but you already saw the rivers start to flow from her eyes. Midoriya put down his chopsticks and put a hand to her back. “Ma, don’t cry. You’re gonna make me cry.” He told her. “We don’t need Mrs. Fujita complaining about flooding again.”
“B-b-but Izuku…” She let out with a soft whine as she sniffled.
Midoriya eased, just before he could get up he saw you take out a tissue from your bag and get up yourself. You crouched near Inko, handing her a tissue with a smile on your face. He paused for a second before easing at the sight. Although your action had good intentions, Inko only started crying harder which you found adorable. She shared a lot of similarities with her son now that you thought about it.
After dinner (and seconds from your fiancé), you had learnt a lot from Inko. For starters she had given you the recipe to her katsudon which was a must have apparently. Then you also found out the story behind the golden retriever. Mighty Molly was a service dog, specifically a mobility assistance dog for All Might. So far she did a lot around the apartment even though being off duty since All Might died. The Midoriyas had decided to keep her and just adopt her as a regular dog, even though her services were not needed anymore- and ever since then she had been living with Inko.
Inko was also not very shy of trying to embarrass her son at every waking moment. She had a photo album waiting to show you all the naked baby photos of Midoriya and him in his All Might onesie. Midoriya refused to be part of such antics and decided to wash dishes and save himself the shame. She told you all about how much of a troublesome teen he was when he entered UA and all the apparent lovers he had (which Midoriya was shocked to know of some he was sure he had hidden from her).
The two of you also talked about the wedding preparations. You talked about the flowers, the venue, the food and the cake tasting that the two of you still had to go do. You also told her a bit about your dress (which you tried to keep as minimalistic as possible due to Midoriya’s big ears). Midoriya and you had already agreed about a lot of the things on the wedding and one of the things Midoriya didn’t mind was the vision you had. He wanted to make the day as memorable and happy for you as possible, so he didn’t mind most things. The only real hard definite want that he had was that he wanted to wear a white suit. Which you thought was perfect.
The absolute best thing about Inko was how easily she adapted to the image you were thinking about and quickly she pitched in ideas you hadn’t even thought of. To say that you should have just hired her as your wedding planner would be an understatement, but she was more than happy to be on board and make sure that everything would run smoothly on the day of your wedding.
“Okay Izuku, you make sure you don’t eat all of this okay. Y/N deserves to eat my cooking too, so no hogging.” She reminded him as she handed him a picnic bag filled with containers of food.
Midoriya chuckled and nodded his head. “Yes, Ma.”
She let out a nod with a hum before turning to you. She gave you a gentle hug which you happily reciprocated. “You take well now dear. I’ll see you soon. You make sure if he does anything stupid, you just use your slipper on him. It works like a charm.”
You chuckled. “Of course, thank you again Mama Midoriya.” You stated.
Midoriya took your hand and motioned a wave to her. “Bye ma! Bye Molly!”
“Bye Izuku!” She waved, Molly giving him a bark from inside.
You followed Midoriya towards the staircase, heading down them back towards the ground. You looked up at him with a gentle smile, sticking close to him as the chilly hair nipped at your skin. “Your mother is nice.” You told him honestly.
He looked at you for a moment. He grinned. “I’m glad you think so. She really seems to like you.” He informed you. “Although if you hear your name circling around some old ladies Facebook group, don’t worry. She’s probably just bragging about how great her future in-law is.” He shrugged as he said it nonchalantly, making you laugh.
“I’m glad I got mama’s approval then. I don’t need to be swarmed by old ladies. I already have the paparazzi to deal with.” You joked.
He let out a sigh. “They’re all vultures, honestly.” He stated truthfully with a shake of his head.
The two of you finally made it to the bottom. It was dark at the bottom but it wasn’t a long trek towards the car. You couldn’t wait to get back to the apartment, bundle up and snuggle on the couch with Midoriya’s rabbit, Angelica Nina. She was a really good cuddle buddy now that you had effectively integrated yourself into her life.
“Y/N…” You turned to look at Midoriya. He didn’t have a particular emotion on his face. “I know I work a lot and I’m probably still going to be busy until the wedding but please tell me if you ever feel like I’m disappearing.” He didn’t look at you but he seemed to have a worried expression on his face. “I don’t want to make you feel as though I don’t have time for you or I’m not taking you seriously. Please just snap me out of it and I’ll-”
“Izuku, you’re the Number One hero.” You let out interrupting him. “I know how serious you take your job and just how much you sacrifice to keep it. Believe me, if there’s anyone who understands how draining and how much attention a hero’s work needs from you, it's me. So please, don’t ever feel bad about having to focus on it sometimes.” You told him honestly, knowing how much heroes needed partners who understood how demanding the job was and could be. You hesitated for a moment. “But…” You took a chance and tightened your hold around his warm hand. “Thank you.” You spoke softly as you kept your head facing forward, ignoring the heat to your face. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
He glanced down at you. He smiled, encasing your hand in his own.
